Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Sugar Spice's Love Love.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hello, welcome to the Naughty but Nice Sham your hay
straw Shooter. It is Tuesday morning, which means our dear
friend Delayna Dixon joins, are you there?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
I am. I'm back in New York after being in
the Bahamas seeing Lenny Kravits at Baja mar Oh my goodness.
It was the Culinary Festival Institute something like that. But
what what matters is that I saw Anny Kravits.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
That's what matters. It was amazing and it is he
as delicious, as exciting as we want to believe he is.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Oh my god. He came out in a gold chain
made top, a leather jacket, sunglasses. It was at night,
but he's sang all the greatest look it and he
just you know, he's actually from the Bahamas. His grandfather
is from the Bahamas, and this was his first official
concert there.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Ah, you're the luckiest person. Although we should point out
to it does sound we do have all these perks.
Part of our lovely lives are the perks. The part
that you don't see is the miserable grind behind a keyboard,
like you're there to work, like it wasn't totally a vacation.
There were some lovely elements for it. But while everybody
in that audience was having a great time, you had
(01:28):
to do a little work. I did.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
He made a wonderful speech, so he made my job
a lot easier. Recorded that and then it came back,
sat down and just you're right, that's what we do.
We're there, we know why we're there. We're there to
get stories and write wonderful stories about the people we see,
the places we stay, the events we go to. But
you just have to find the fun in it, and
I did. I talked to Marcus Samuelson because it was
(01:52):
a culinary event.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
An amazing, amazing chef, the red Rooster, lots of the
restaurants are it signs perfect time? What is this story
up now, Miste? Can we read it?
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Where is he up on ebony?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Check it out doc com. We'll check it out. Okay,
let's jump into the show. What time is it? My
Friends and Ears t time. Big story at the top
of the show. So Max from Dancing with the Stars.
I've always liked him, very, very sexy. His brother's on
the show. Max has not been on the show for
a couple of years now, but he's saying, let's be honest,
it might might not be the right thing to say,
(02:27):
but he's certainly saying what everybody is thinking, which is Jan,
who is Taylor Swift's former backup dancer, he should not
be on Dancing with the Stars. So he's saying he's
saying that, no, he shouldn't be on the show. He's
basically implying the only reason he's been cast as a
professional is because he worked with Taylor Swift. There might
(02:49):
be some truth to that. Now, behind the scenes, people
are saying Max isn't wrong and that Jan is talented,
but this isn't the eras tours. This is Dancing with
the Stars, and this is about technique, and this is
about ballroom and he has a massive fan base thanks
to Taylor Swift. But casting him, Max said was quote absurd.
(03:13):
He said, he has no business being called a pro.
What do you think, mist Now, a lot of people
behind the scenes have been very upset that he's there.
That Jan is there not necessarily because of his skill level,
but because of his association with the most popular person
in the world, and he could win the season. He
(03:35):
could not his dancer, not his star, but he could win.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I think Max forgot where he was. We are not
in a ballroom competition. We are on a TV show,
a reality TV show that depends on ratings, and the
best way to get ratings is to cast a dancer.
You're pro who happened to dance on the Errors Tour. Now,
(04:01):
I understand you want this to be about technique and skill.
So because he does not have ballroom dance experience, that
is not on his resume. He's more of a commercial dancer.
He's not gonna have that technique and skill. But is
he gonna be a show man? Is he gonna razzle dazl?
Is he gonna get every single Tailor Swift fan to
watch the show? Hell? Yes, and you're gonna see it
(04:22):
reflected in the numbers. This is a show that's been
on what twenty thousand seasons. They have to keep giving
people a reason to come back, and this is one
of them. And the fact that we're talking about it
means that it's working.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
It's working, mister. That's why they cast Hilaria Baldwin, That's
why they cast Kate Gostin. You're right, and it is working,
mis Day. This season is one of the highest rated
Dancing with the Stars in years. Let's not forget this
show fell so low in the ratings they pulled it
off TV and they just had it on streaming. It's
back now on TV and the producers want to make
(05:00):
it stays there. You just got as you always do.
Delaya to the heart of this debate, what is Dancing
with the Stars? Is it about the quality of the
dancing or is it about the showmanship of putting on
a show? Is it about ratings? Television is a business.
We've learned that MISDI. We've worked in TV now over
(05:22):
a decade. It's a business and if they can make money,
they don't care about the quality of the show. It
doesn't have to win Emmy Award. It doesn't have to
be smart like sixty minutes. If you get a lot
of people watching, it can be the Real Housewives. It
doesn't matter how sloppy it is, as long as people
right now, some shows try to have a balance. They
(05:43):
do want professional, but they also want commercial. I think
Kelly Ripper's probably the best example of that. It's very professional,
but it's also very very commercial, and that's why it
has stayed on for so long. Dancing with the Stars
is not a dancing show, Max, if you are listening,
and you might be, it's a business. It's a business.
And if you go into the show thinking it's a
(06:04):
dance competition, then half of the celebrities dancing would not
be allowed on that show. They would not and the winner.
This is the other thing about the show. It's not
the best dancer that wins. It's a popularity competition. It's
the most popular that's who wins the show.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Absolutely. If you think about the other dance show that
was on Fox, they said it was America's favorite dancer,
not America's best dancer. Flu America gets to vote, and
maybe some people are voting on technique and skill, but
you're voting for the person you like, or maybe you're
voting for the person who you feel put out the
(06:42):
most effort. Maybe you're voting for the villain because you
like to see a villain win. Most people aren't voting
because they're like, oh, they did that pod? Do you
know that so so incredibly well, so, it's a TV show,
it's a reality show.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Do you think this is a good look for Max?
He's quite happy to play the villain, like I'd actually
forgotten about him. He's not been on the show for
several years. He does go on professional tours. He makes
his money now doing shows with his wife, with his
friends and their professional dancers who go around the country
and they're fabulous. I saw one of his shows. He's brilliant.
He's an absolutely brilliant answer. He sexy, but he's also
(07:21):
to a show man. He puts on that villain role.
I would argue here, it's not Young's talent that upsets Max,
it's his popularity. He's the new heart thrub of the ballroom.
Not only does he have a fan base and Taylor Swift,
he's really cute Misty, and he has the most beautiful
(07:42):
bottom and when he is shaking it, everybody is watching
this guy. He's got Taylor and he's got the looks. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I think when you think about Max, it's like you
could have told this to your friends, You could have
told this to the producers and said maybe this isn't
the best angle to go down to, but you decided
to do it in a public forum. So just like
they're using Yan's populariat, are you writing on his cotail
so you stay in the news cycle? Are you following
(08:12):
the Bethany Frank.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Frank model. You find the most successful person in the
media of the moment, who were all talking about, and
you criticize and you always get attention. I think Max
is up to no good here. But what do you
think naughties? Max has had a fiery takedown of Taylor
Swift's dancer John. I think that's how I pronointed. It
is John who has divided the cast? Is Max right
(08:42):
or wrong? What do you think here? Right or wrong?
Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rama.
Facebook page is naughty yasip and be sure to check
back to Marouter here your results. Hey, miss Steeler, what
are you working on?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
We're going to talk about Lori Laughlin and her husband Massimo,
who never trusted her on screen husband John Seamos. Massimo
could not stand their friendship. Now it looked wholesome, but
you know, he just hated seeing how close she was
to John Stamos, who played her husband, you know, on
Full House they had twins together. She was aunt Becky
(09:19):
and look John and Laurie always had incredible chemistry, but
Massimo never believed it was just acting. He thought John's
charmed didn't stop when the cameras did, and sources tell
us that tenons flare during public events and Cherry Gilla's
when they were together. Laurie would light up when John
walked in, and Massimo would just shut down because he
(09:42):
saw John as competition. And that's so silly. Look, we know, Rob,
you are my work husband, and we have those and
we are so close. But of course you have a
wonderful husband at home, and I've got a wonderful husband
out there in the ether somewhere. Come to me. I'm RDA,
So I don't understand why Marsima would get so jealous.
(10:04):
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Let me ask a question. I've been thinking about this
and it is something that I think people sometimes struggle with.
Like when you and me are out together, mister, if
I wasn't as gay as a goose, it would be
easy for some people to think we are a couple
because we giggle and we laugh, and we talk close,
and we hold hands, and we share food and we
(10:26):
gossip away. We have the best time out. Would it
make a difference to somebody that you were dating if
I was a straight man, if you had that relationship
with the straight we touch each other mistery. We touch
each other's faces, we giggle together, we hold hands. I
wonder what, like if I was at if you, if
you were a gay man, and I reacted to you
(10:49):
the way that I do, would Bruce be as comfortable.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
No, Bruce would be totally fine because he is the
cillo's coolest, the most smartest man in the world. And
he'd be like, that's just his friend and whatever. He
comes home to me at night. And I actually do
have a best male friend who's straight and he's married.
But our friendship dates back way before I met his wife.
And in fact, she kind of came to me and said, hey,
(11:14):
you know, tell me about him. So I think you
have if you have that brother sister relationship, which he
and I have. She's never been worried once. I mean,
I don't know, maybe I should be upset you're not worried,
but I'm sure it makes it easier for everybody that
you're fabulously gay.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I think it makes it easier. This is so interesting. Friendships, relationships, husbands, wives,
How does it all mix together? John Stamos has been
trashing Mossamo. He's been saying he never liked him, he
was a narcissist. And now Mosamo's team are pushing back,
saying he never really liked you either, and so maybe
now's not the moment. And whatever Laurie and Mossamo are
(11:52):
going through, John's not helping me. I get it. You
do want to defend your friend. If you broke up
with somebody, mister, and I didn't like them, I would
trash them because I think I would think that I
was protecting you, but actually I wouldn't be protecting you.
I'd just be shooting off my mouth. Sometimes saying nothing
is the best way to help your friends. And that's
a difficult lesson for us all to learn, because we
(12:14):
want to fight for our friends. But in this case,
I think George h John, Sorry, I think John zip it,
Uncle Jesse, Enough, Okay, moving along. Hugh Jackman has said
enough hiding and now he's stepping out in public with
Sutton Foster. So we broke this story, but they were dating.
Other outlets are going to say they broke it. It
was not it was us. I know theater sources. My
(12:36):
husband's worked in theater. I have tons of friends in theater.
Miss d We're at Sardi's at least once a week.
We know theater, we know theater, and so I'm not
ever going to reveal the source, but you know it's
in the theater world. Sutton and you were in The
Music Man together, and they got together. They're in the
Music Man, and several little whispers, one very loud, one
very very senior, was in my ear. So I broke
(12:58):
this story well after it went public, after it exploded.
Then they sort of took a step back. They didn't
confirm it, they didn't deny it. He broke up with
his wife, she broke up with her husband. Now that
on the red carpet together, sources are telling me that
he's done hiding. Sutton is now his person and if
you don't like it, goodbye. This is who he's with.
(13:20):
It was sloppy, it was messy. Should he have broken
up with deb his wife of over twenty years before
he got together with Sutton, Yes, he should. He knows
that too. Didn't happen, and so I don't want to
give him a pass here. But I also understand that
love is very, very tricky.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, I mean, this is when your work wife or
husband goes awry. You're working together, you're doing a romantic
part together. You're on stage together, which I think is
even more intense than TV because it never stops. You're
going through a whole show of falling in love together,
night after night after night after night. But still I
think you made the clear point. I mean, we saw
(13:58):
Hugh and Deborah together and we thought, you know, hashtag
relationship goals, So for him to break up with her
and this kind of be all in the middle. You know,
if you find that you fall out of love, have
the respect to end your first relationship, even if you've
done the kiss and you know, stop for a moment,
tell the other person, let me end my first relationship.
(14:19):
I remember I was actually in this situation. Ooh, let's
get into delaana life. And I met a guy and
I thought, this was my man, my man, my man.
And then he's like, I got this other woman right,
And I said, and he gave me all this BS
and I just said, look, when you sat down and
talked to her and you end it, then you come
back to me. Obviously that did not work out because
(14:40):
he ain't here. But the lesson learned you got to
have the respect for the other person in that relationship,
and most of the time you're afraid, and that's not fair.
If you're gonna do the deed, then you have to
take the consequence.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yes, yes, well said mister. I'm giving you applause here
we are at church today to look at you. And
it would never have worked Outmsphy. Had you not said anything,
you would have ended up with an even more broken heart.
So even though it didn't work out, don't think that's
because you spoke up. It's not. It wasn't going to
work out. He never was going to have. I better
get out of it with your head held high. Okay,
(15:15):
talking about heads not held very high? Did He's team
already planning a freedom party for his release. He's been
announced he's going to be released on May eighth, twenty
twenty eight. If I go miss in on May ninth, mister,
you know who to call. And so he's out on
May eighth. Now his team of planning a huge party.
I don't think it's going to be a white party,
(15:36):
but you never know. With Diddy, he's absolutely shameless. Can
he have a comeback? I would argue yes, there's people
out there that actually support him now more than ever,
and Puffy knows how to play the game. I worked
with him, I've seen the pr stunts. He is going
to be back whether we like it or not. Okay,
we're going to take a quick break and we will
(15:57):
be back. Hopefully you like it. Welcome back to the
naughty but nic sham your headstrom shooting with that dear friend, mistery, Hey, mistery,
let's get to the poll. Last year we talked about
Katie Perry and Justin Tradeau. I've learned how to say
that go official with their new romance. Do you like these?
To us a couple, Katie and Justin Do you like them? Oh?
Seventy five percent said yes, you do like them. The
(16:19):
pictures are gorgeous. They're both so beautiful. He's like this
big powerful politician. She's this big powerful pop star. I
like it too. Don't forget to vote on today's pole.

for nist of the.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Day are nicest? Excuse me? Our nicest of the day
is Taylor Swift because she's not just performing, she's dominating.
So she's got that new album The Life of a
shore Girl, and it's officially locked down and the number
one spot on the Billboard two hundred charts for the
third consecutive week, making it one of the biggest pop
(17:03):
plays in twenty twenty five. I mean, it's got all
these fan favorite songs. I mean, if you know, you know,
hello Elizabeth Taylor, and it's just every breaking streaming record sales,
and she's just rewriting the rules again. I mean, music
right now is Taylor.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
It's Taylor's with, It's Taylor's. There's nobody else. It is
Taylor's with. She deserves it to add nicest of the day.
She's a really nice person as well as been really
really talented. And now I noticed the dayteen naughty Naughty
Palace inside us are whispering that Virginia Duffrey's death might
not have been a suicide. It could have been something
much darker. So her ex boyfriend is saying that Virginia
(17:43):
was terrified and that she told him if she disappears,
she knows you know who did it. And she went
on to say he's powerful enough. She's talking about Prince Andrew.
He's powerful enough to make me disappear like Diana now
her father. Virginia's father said that he just did not
(18:06):
believe the suicide. He thought somebody had got to her,
and that the whole case is full of question marks.
We're not big on conspiracy theories on the Naughty but
Nice Show, but when the Palace starts to whisper like this,
I've got better sources in Buckingham Palace than any other
working journalists. Not only am I a reporter, I used
(18:28):
to be a publicist for the British Royal family, for
Princess Michael of Kensel. I've worked with this family. I've
had a paycheck each month from this family, so I
know this family. These whispers are really really loud. Misty
the person that knows everything is gone. That is very
very suspicious. Her book, though, is going to live on forever,
(18:51):
and it's like she's talking to us from the grave.
I'm reading the book right now, Misty, really disturbing, really upsetting.
Don't read it if you're looking for some entertainment, But
if you really want to sit down and get deep,
this might be the book for you. Hey, let's end
with a moment of rob Protecting your peace is more
(19:11):
important than proving your point. That's hard, isn't it mystic?
Because I love to prove my point. I love to
be right, But you know what, protecting my piece is
actually more important than proving my point. I don't need
to win every single argument. It doesn't make me any better.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is just
let it go. And that's not because you're weak. It's
because your value your energy more than anything else. Peace
(19:36):
is the prize. Let's say that again. Peace is the prize.
Not proving your point. Proving your point it might make
you feel better for a moment, but protecting your peace, mister,
that will change everything. So breathe, walk away and be
calm in the storm. That's your real power. Somebody's going
(19:57):
to upset you today. Maybe this week, let's try something
different instead of snapping, instead of being a bit bitchy,
instead of proveing how smart you are. And I'm gonna
get them, walk away, shake it off, just let them be,
try it. I've been trying this lately, mistery, and I've
gotta say I really like the results. I feel better
(20:20):
about myself twenty minutes later, two hours later, two days later,
I feel really good. Well, if I've given you a
piece of my mind, which I love to do. I
never feel that good about myself, so try a different option.
It might not work for you. If it doesn't work,
you go back to proving your point. But if it
does work, you're welcome. Hey, that is it for today.
(20:40):
