How not having a friend with me, not having a
co host, really used to scare me. And then I realized,
my goodness, you do have lots of friends with you,
and you have lots of co hosts, and they're called

the show. What time is it? It's tea time. Big
story at the top of the show. So yesterday on
the podcast, we hinted at Scooter Braun giving a very
emotional interview about Justin Bieber. Scooter Braun was Justin Bieber's manager.

He really discovered him, made him into a huge star.
Also worked with Arianna Grande. He went on to buy
Taylor Swift's Masters. Remember that, Remember when her Masters were
up for sale and she claimed that somebody had outbid
her and done something really sneaky behind her bass back
and basically stolen her voice. Well that person was Scooter Braun. Well,

now that Taylor has finally bought them back, lots of
inside trading going on, lots of shady deals. Ultimately, now
Taylor owns them. That's a good thing. Well, Scooter sat
down to do a big interview and got so emotional
about it. He even said that he had death threats,
that he was Sui sidele. He was completely completely crushed

by all this. However, Taylor and her team are not
buying it. Sources tell me he didn't just want to
buy her Masters. He tried to eraise her voice. Now
he wants grace and Taylor's not playing along once again.
He did open up his only forty two years old,
(02:45):
forty three years old, he opened up about his darkest days,
revealing he had suicidal thoughts during the public fallout after
acquiring Her Masters for three hundred million dollars. She brought
them back for a little bit more. But insiders tell
me that Taylor she doesn't see the confession as sincere,

but rather as strategic quote. Sources tell me he's framing
that this was just a misunderstanding. But Taylor always saw
it as a calculated move control of her, and so
did millions of her fans. This happens a lot, not
just with celebrities but in our lives too. When something

isn't right, people say, oh, it's a misunderstanding, and I
don't always believe it is. When you say it's a
misunderstanding often, or when you hear that, often it's a
calculated move that didn't turn out well for you or
the other person, and then that's the misunderstanding. But no,

it wasn't any misunderstanding. That the rights to her Masters
didn't just accidently fall into his lap. No, he went
out of his way to buy these. This was a
business decision. Now, even if you don't think it's morally
the right decision, this was legal, It was above board.
He did the most, he got the money, he bought them.

Then Taylor fought back, and her fans were really, really incensed,
and all the social media army of them, the army
of Taylor's fans, let him have it. And then it
became a misunderstanding. Tell the truth. Say I bought these,
I wanted them. I thought they were a good investment.
I put together the money, I got the deal. I

did it. And should Taylor own them, that's a different discussion.
I didn't care about that because I bought them. I
owned them. I wish he'd said that and then said,
but I realized they made a mistake. She should own these.
Tell the truth. I don't think there are many situations
that you can't resolve if you start by telling the truth.

And so I don't believe it was a misunderstanding. Neither
does Taylor now. She famously accused him of bullying back
in twenty nineteen, and now that she's reclaimed her power,
she now owns all six of those albums. Now he's
doing interviews and she she's not buying this. She is

not buying this one insiders. Someone very close to Taylor
told me she built her career on truth and she's
not going to rewrite history because he had a friendly
pr meldown. No, no, no, she knows the truth. Scooter
knows the truth. I emailed with him yesterday and he's
a complicated person, but he does he does have the

right to tell his story and I don't think he's
really doing that. He's masking this in he's the victim. Gosh,
that happens all the time, doesn't it. It drives me
crazy when somebody does something awful, we respond and then
we're the problem. We're the ones that they got angry with.

this sympathy I fell for I watched this interview. I
felt just so bad for Scooter, suicidal thoughts and so
so emotional. I he melt him immediately, saying I hope
you're doing better and thanks for sharing, and this was
so brave. None of that really was true, and Taylor

opened my eyes to that. Taylor's team, Taylor's friends, they
are not buying it, which brings us to our whole
question of the day. Taylor Swift is shutting down scooters

thrown out. A judge in New York tossed out Justin
Baldoni's four hundred million dollars defamation lawsuit. Well, now we
can reveal this legal saga is far from over. Though
the defamation claim was dismissed, that was absolutely true. We

got that right. Justin's team has been given the green
light to refile four other claims, including civil extortion out
and invasion of privacy. Even more, a motion to depose
Livela that was filed last week. His lawyer, Brian Friedman
(07:57):
is saying, quote her victory speech is prema Sure, We're
coming back with more evidence, and this isn't over. Expect
fireworks ahead, my friends, as both sides here prepare for
round two. So this is not over yet. I think
we all wish it was. This story is tiring me out.

Justin is going to fight back. Delana was brilliant yesterday.
So Delana's sister is very much involved in the criminal
justice system. She's an excellent lawyer, and so Delana spoke
to her sister, and the sister said the reason it
was tossed out was really because of two technicalities. We
went over that on yesterday's show. You can't say somebody
defamed you in a lawsuit. So a lot of the

defamation Justin was claiming was defamation in her lawsuit. Well,
that doesn't count. He's going to find other ways to
see if she defamed him outside of that legal brief,
and people are arguing, yes she did, and they're going
to put that evidence together and they are going to
punch back. A few days ago, I heard whispers that

both sides were thinking about settling this. It's not doing
her any good her career. It's not doing him any good.
In fact, the only people I believe who are gonna
benefit from this ugly mess of the lawyers who are
earning a lot of money. They charge a lot of
money every hour, and there's a lot of hours of
work that goes into this. They're both gonna get a

massive legal bill and say one of them wins, Say
one of them does win, I would argue in winning,
they both lose. Taylor Swift is involved in this, like
Blake has lost arguably her best friend. Her business is
in disarray. Justin, who should be flying high after directing
a really successful movie, he has not worked since. It's

going to be very difficult for him to find work
now that he's so toxic, is so involved in this drama.
So there still is a possibility they both might decide
both of them to drop this. But at the moment,
that doesn't have to be happening. Now. What appears to
be going on is that Justin is digging in. His
lawyer is coming back with more evidence, more more details. Oof,

this is gonna get messy. I like this story. Robin
Thick has got married to April love Gary. What a
beautiful name. However, their prenup is bulletpoof so Robin and
April tied they're not in Cabo two weeks ago and
sealed the deal though with a rock solid pre nup.

sure his music empire was protected, while April secured her
own asset. She's very successful too. They both looked fabulous

think we have to talk about this now. When I
got with Bruce over thirty years ago, thirty years can

from Birmingham, England, where I grew up. I don't know
anybody who got a pre nup. It just wasn't part
of my family's conversation. When I moved to America, and
I started to meet quite wealthy people and even younger people.
They talk about this. They talk about this. They want
to protect their assets. And I think that's a really

good idea. And I think having this conversation before you
get married, going into the relationship and to the marriage
with the document not just a document for God whoever
you worship, or a legal document, but also a financial one,
is probably a good idea. I was thinking about this.
If I got married today to the same brilliant man,

and it wouldn't make me uncomfortable. Does this conversation make
you uncomfortable? Some people say, ruins love if you just
talk about money. But I do think money is a
really important part of life. It's not the most important
to me, but it is important. Being able to pay
your rent and get your friends a drink or two

really hard for our money. And so I think this
is maybe a conversation that many, many, many many more
people are going to be having, not just the rich

sources tell me Black Brad was totally blindsided again. In
so sources confirmed that the Oscar winning actor had no
idea his twenty year old daughter might be engaged until

family inside had told me she didn't tell him anything.
Brad found out through the media. It was a gut
punch out. So Zahara was spotted on Monday leaving Craigs,

to be an engagement ring on that finger. Well, we've
not been able to confirm yet she is engaged, but
we did speak to people close to Brad and they
said he has no idea. We called Brad's people to

has not spoke to the kids for so long. We
know nothing. You will find out before we did. In fact,
if it had not been reported in the media. In

the media, we wouldn't have known a thing. Gosh, that
relationship is really really damned. Two, at least two of
the kids have dropped Pitt from their last name. They
do not want to be called Pitt anymore. They are Jolieese.
And now we find out something as big as an engagement.
That's big when one of your kids, when one of

your friends, when somebody you love gets engaged, that's a
great story, that's a brilliant story. That's a happy story

from Birmingham, England, where I grew up. I don't know
anybody who got a pre nup. It just wasn't part
of my family's conversation. When I moved to America, and
I started to meet quite wealthy people and even younger people.
They talk about this. They talk about this. They want
to protect their assets. And I think that's a really

good idea. And I think having this conversation before you
get married, going into the relationship and to the marriage
with the document not just a document for God whoever
you worship, or a legal document, but also a financial one,
is probably a good idea. I was thinking about this.
If I got married today to the same brilliant man,
(12:02):
would we talk about pre nups? Maybe maybe we would
and it wouldn't make me uncomfortable. Does this conversation make
you uncomfortable? Some people say, ruins love if you just
talk about money. But I do think money is a
really important part of life. It's not the most important
to me, but it is important. Being able to pay
your rent and get your friends a drink or two

at Bottinos. That is important to me. And we work really,
really hard for our money. And so I think this
is maybe a conversation that many, many, many many more
people are going to be having, not just the rich
and famous, but people like you and me too. Okay, quickly,
before we go to break bits sad news here but
it's so revealing. Brad Pitt was stunned by Zahara's engagement,

sources tell me Black Brad was totally blindsided again. In
so sources confirmed that the Oscar winning actor had no
idea his twenty year old daughter might be engaged until
he saw it online. Like the rest of us. So,
as the say, he learned about the rumoured engagement through
the press and it left him really sad, devastated. A

family inside had told me she didn't tell him anything.
Brad found out through the media. It was a gut
punch out. So Zahara was spotted on Monday leaving Craigs,
a fancy restaurant in West Hollywood, with actor and entrepreneur
Elijah Elijah Cooper. She flashed a smile and what appear
(13:31):
to be an engagement ring on that finger. Well, we've
not been able to confirm yet she is engaged, but
we did speak to people close to Brad and they
said he has no idea. We called Brad's people to
confirm the story and they said, don't call us. He
has not spoke to the kids for so long. We
know nothing. You will find out before we did. In fact,
if it had not been reported in the media. In
(13:53):
the media, we wouldn't have known a thing. Gosh, that
relationship is really really damned. Two, at least two of
the kids have dropped Pitt from their last name. They
do not want to be called Pitt anymore. They are Jolieese.
And now we find out something as big as an engagement.
That's big when one of your kids, when one of

your friends, when somebody you love gets engaged, that's a
great story, that's a brilliant story. That's a happy story
that you want to share. Well, clearly not with Dad.
I think that relationship is done. I hear he won't
be invited to the wedding. He won't even know about
the wedding until it happens. They have zero, zero communications,
(14:37):
and now Brad's friends are very eager to let it
be known that this is not he's doing, or at
least he would be open. He would love to be
talking to his kids again. He has reached out to
them on several different occasions. Insiders are telling me it's
always silence, it's never a response. But he's not going
to give up trying, and now this news of atential engagement,

he will reach out again, he fingers crushed. Okay, we're

year old twins Ella and Alexandra are absolutely desperate to
meet Taylor Swift. He said, they want to see Taylor Swift.
Now he admitted his inner cerle includes Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts,
Robert de Niro. But no, kid's not impressed by that.
They like the ones I don't know. He jokes, well,
I'm sure, I'm sure that now this story is out, Taylor.

would guess your kids, your twins, and might get a
little card sued from someone very very special. Isn't it adorable?

Oh no, kid's not impressed by that. They want to
meet Taylor Swift and nicest of the day and Nann

a Vanity Fair. So the editor of Vanity Fair left
and they were looking for a new one. Anna Winter,
who you know from the Devil Wears Poda. She's really
the original Miranda Priestley. That the character Miranda Priestley is

based on Anna Winter in real life. She's in charge
of hiring somebody for the magazine. Vanity Fair is part
of the Vogue Empire, and she hired somebody called Mark Guducci,
who turns out to be a longtime friend of her
daughter b Ouch. Sources say he's not qualified, he's not respected.
This is a Knepper move. Plain and simple staff are

really upset about it. And this is what Vanity Fair
thing isn't about. This magazine was about excellence, excellence in reporting,
not giving a job to your daughter's best friend. Ah.
I love to help my friends out, I really really do.
But I find a job of position that they're qualified for,

because you're not helping anybody help out, you're not if
you put them in a position where they're going to fail.
And so fingers crossed. Although it doesn't look good and
not is the the day. Be careful when you help
out friends of yours, your kids, your family. Oh, don't
set them up for failure. Ay. Let's end with a

humbles you as you grow. The older you get, the
clearer it becomes. You wasted so much time on things
that never ever mattered. Trying to please everyone, overthinking every move,
holding grudges, chasing validation. We've all done that. However, life
has a way of stripping all that noise away. It

humbles you, it grounds you, and it reminds you what
really counts. So if you're still holding on too nonsense,
let it go. You don't get time back, so protect
it like it's gold. That's one of the lovely things
about growing older. There's not that many of them, but
the nicest thing about growing older is it humbles you
