Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vie hell never never Never, Never know a love. Hello,
Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host,
Rob Shooter, and it is Monday morning, which means our
dear friend, Garrett Vogel joins us. Hiy Garrett, are you there?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hello? Bobby?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
How am I friend? Did you have a nice weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
But we're up to It was great. I went to
go see Lee Lo and Stitch.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
It's great.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Did you get to see it?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I have said, it's still the number one movie.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
What a heartwarming movie. Even though I know the story,
I know what I was walking into. But to see
the live action version of it, I was like, Wow,
you know, it's great.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
You know you are my Ohanna, Rob behind oh bless you.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Did you see the Mission Impossible?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
That's the other big because saw Mission Impossible. And here's
the thing.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It's long.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
It is is very and I think that's what takes
away from it. Because the action's there. Tom Cruise is there.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
He is the as the kids say, the goat of
action movies. But it is long.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
It is too long.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's too long for a normal person to sit there.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah. I felt the same about it. I have a
little bit of that struggle myself. I started this new
substack where I'm doing two maybe three newsletters a day
of just all this breaking, exciting, celebrity news, and I
could write thousands and thousands of words. It could be
war and peace, like I could do a whole novel,
and people just don't want it. They don't have time
for it, they don't have the attention span to it.

(01:38):
So I've learned to be a better editor. And if
you can be shorter and have the same impact, I
say that's a win. The same with podcasting garrets. Initially,
when I started this show, I thought I had to
do an hour show and I heart was like, oh no,
twenty minutes max, and I was like, got it.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, then no. They want us on and off as
quickly as possible.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I feel like that though with a lot of stuff,
Like if you send me a text and I have
to scroll down, I'm probably not going to read the
whole thing. Just what do you want in.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Less than twenty work notes? Yeah, give me a question.
And this is what this podcast is.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
This is the cliff notes of everything You could stop
scrolling for and just listen to the cliff notes and
you kind of get fulfilled of everything.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's going on in the world.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I hope, so Tom cruise if you're listening too long,
God of the days where people will sit there for
three hours.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Imagine he listens to us.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
You never know people do listen. I get shocked all
the time when I'm walking down the street and people
are like, hey, Rob, I love the podcast. I love
it. It makes me feel great, but it always surprises me
and I'm thrilled about it. Okay, let's jump into the show.
My time is it, My Friends, and it's tea Time.
Big story at the top of the show. So over
the weekend, Taylor Swift celebrated buying back a Masters with

(02:48):
a fabulous dinner with Selena Gomeer. So we spotted them
at the Monkey Bart's, a very fabulous bar in mid
tam Manhattan. It looked like they closed the place down,
and I went on their website and they were closed
the evening. Selena was there with Taylor Swift, but it
doesn't look like they had a party. A bit strange
two people people.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I guess they kept outdoor dining because they knew, Yeah, it's.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Got sections in that restaurant. There's a big dining room
in the back there's a bar area. Maybe they just
closed the dining room. But I feel weird going into
a it's just the two of us and the whole
place is empty. Garrett, I'd blow well, But then again,
I think the first.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Time, give me the first time like that, because I
kind of want to feel a little badass walking into
a restaurant and it's just you and I, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Like are you open? Is that you open? And so
they had this great did it's celebrated now. These Masters
are a big deal to Taylor. She lost out on
them a few years ago. Somebody else bought them. She
really was public about that. She re recorded the songs.
Now she's bought them for three hundred and sixty million dollars.

(03:51):
I love the fact that Taylor did not have to
take out a mortgage or alone, and she right just.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Shows you're good, and you know what she sold them, well,
her old label sold them for just about that, you
know what I mean. And the company that bought them
made like, you know, one hundred million dollars for holding
on to them for what you know, three or four
years pretty much, and she got to buy them back
for what they were sold for. Originally, which I thought

(04:19):
is awesome, and she didn't have to buy them back
for a billion dollars right right.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
She was very smart that she also and to cut
the value off them by re releasing the album. So
if you want Taylor Swift music, you don't have to
use these masters. You have to You've got a choice.
You could use the masters, we could use the new
albums that she's ready recorded. But now she owns all
of it. So every single mode, every lyric, every piece
of music Taylor Swift has recorded, she owns. I love

(04:45):
that now we are talking about there and this is tricky,
but whilst Blake Lively excluded from this, she has been
out celebrating with Dakota Fanning. We've seen her out. It
would have been very very easy to text Blake and
say do you want to join and Selena and my
good self at the Monkey Bar. Clearly she didn't. My
sources tell me it's over. The relationship is done.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I think it's on the shelf, especially now like all
Blake Lively coming out to dinner with Taylor Swift on
Taylor Swift's arguably biggest night of the year would have
just dampered that with with Blake Lively drama, you know
what I mean, like and and and you know, you know,
we all have that one friend too where it's kind

(05:27):
of like they have that dark cloud hanging over their
head all the time and you're going out to celebrate
and they're like, I just had a rough day at
work or oh my god, my boyfriend. You know that
Taylor Swift literally just bought back the music she's been
fighting for for the last five years and now she's
got it, and she's with her best friend from day
one to bring.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Blake Lively and with just me like this dinner.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I might throw her a bone though, I might say,
do you want to come and do coffee today or lunch?
Just like it's take a picture together, because if if
we take a picture together, it's going to squash all
the all these stories, all the rumors that were not friends.
Celebrities do that all the time. When I was working
with j Lo, she was making Maid in Manhattan, and
she did not get along with Ray five, So there's
lots of stories that they were at each other's throats.

(06:12):
They were they just did not like each other, and
so we staged a photograph where they both went for
coffee or lunch together. And they were there less than
two minutes. Like, they walked in, they ordered, they didn't eat,
they grabbed a coffee. We had a pap take the picture,
and then we left and then we changed the narrative.
Taylor could do that with Blake.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Do you have a meeting rob Shooter with with your
client or you know the person you're working with, and going, okay,
what do you think coffee shop?

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Maybe you walk in the park, like do you throw
out ideas?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, yeah, well we have to find somewhere where you
could legitimately get caught by paps even though I tipped
them off. It was like, I think it was a
restaurant in LA that was really famous. I think it's
called the Ivy and there always it had an outdoor area.
So we sat them there, the cars pulled up, they
took a picture. Literally, they did not eat their lunch
or the coffee. They just Now, Taylor could do that

(07:00):
with Blake if she wanted to just squash these rumors.
She doesn't want to squash them, because she could get
rid of these rumors in a second by texting her
today and saying, meet me here in twenty minutes There'll
be a photographer across the street. We'll get a coffee, goodbye.
She doesn't want to do it.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
You know what else I was thinking though with Taylorscheft
going out to dinner with Selena Gomez. So she just
bought her her music back for three hundred and sixty
million dollars. I don't know if it's all Taylor's money,
whatever the case may be, But still you got to think,
does Selena go, you know what I got dinner tonight?
You know, you know what I got dinner? So if
they go have Sea's Like, I'm curious about that.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I'm always worried. Yeah, I'd think that There's been all
these parties in Italy for Lauren Sanchez's wedding, one of
the richest men in the world to Jeff Bezos. There.
I saw a picture of Lauren Sanchez, Kim Kardashian, and
Katie Perry out at dinner, and I was like, who paid, Like,
did Jeff pay or did Lauren.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Jay Jeff Jeff pay?

Speaker 3 (07:51):
And then if anything, maybe Kim kind of picks up
and Katie kind of like.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Reaches for a wallet and Kenny three. It would still.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Crazy to think about that, which brings us to our pole.
Question of the day, Taylor Swift, Mom, it's buying back
her catalog. She's really thrilled. She owns her Masters of
All her music. Dinner in New York City with her
Ride or Die bestie Selena Gomez. Should they have invited
Blake Lively? Would it just be in a text like
come on, Blake, come and meet us. What do you think?

(08:20):
Should they have done that? Yes?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Or no?

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Go vote on a page at naughty nice rob at
Facebook pages not degussive, I mean, sure to check back
to my router here your results take out. What are
you working on? All?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Right?

Speaker 3 (08:30):
So if you are going through some type of child
custody divorce and you think it's bad, just know that
it probably is bad in your situation, but it could
be worse.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Like Cardi b An offset right now. So Carti B
took the X over.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
The weekend and she just unleashed everything on her ex husband,
father to her children offset. She revealed that it has
cost her five hundred thousand dollar spent on the kids,
while accusing her ex husband of being a deadbeat as well.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
So she just listen to all this stuff.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
So she's been footing the bill for her three kids
lavish lifestyle. Now, when I say footing the bill, meaning
the things that are not just your normal things, like
the things that go above and beyond that they decided
to give their kids. So this is where a half
a million dollars goes ten ten thousand dollars a month
to a driver, Okay, forty five thousand dollars a year

(09:31):
for private school for their kid, culture, thirty five thousand
dollars for wave, three thousand dollars a week for bait
for their babysitting cousin, and an extra five hundred dollars
a day for a nanny to baby to babysit blossom.
So then on top of that, we got piano lessons,
boxing lessons, tutor, gymnastics, a private chef, twenty four to

(09:53):
seven security.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
And that's what you.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Got one of the most expensive celebrity kids budgets in Hollywood. Now,
it's crazy you think about, maybe I'll give you a
few things. I'll give you piano lessons, I'll give you gymnastics,
I'll give you a tutor, private chef, security.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I understand that.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
The very elite private school you probably could, you know,
knock that down a little bit, and you know, no
need to go to a fifty thousand dollars a year
school for you know, second grade.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
They're learning the same thing got forgotten.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Yeah, it's extraordinary to get this sort of insight see
the numbers, to actually see the numbers paid here, I
understand the security. That's probably the most important thing. I
would keep a private chef there because if chef's not cooking,
that means mommy or daddy has to cook. And I
do not like to cook. So maybe that's one of
the things I might get rid of the box and
all the other stuff. But it is extravagant, isn't it.

(10:49):
We have this sort of discussion a lot when celebrities
get divorced and we realize how much money they're paying
on their kids. Part of me is like, the kids
are use to this lifestyle, so they've got to sort
of maintain it. And part of me is like, this
lifestyle nobody should be used to. It's just so ridiculous.
You don't need to live like live like that. Cardi
b is very, very successful. She's not Taylor Swift. Though.

(11:11):
This is money, This is real.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Real, I think would even say that's a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Too, But it's a lot. We make choices in life,
don't We make choices of what we want to do
with ourselves, with our kids, with our family, And sometimes
I think throwing money at a child isn't always the
best idea. Okay, moving along somebody else that's in trouble, Patty,
it's a little confusing to me. Yes, Patti the Poe
has been really sort of a bit aggressive, very aggressive

(11:38):
towards Audra McDonald for a long time. They're Broadway rivals,
so Patty and Order are not friends. Recently, Patty complained
that the theater next to her, Hell's Kitchen, it was
just too loud, and so Patty was in this little
play and she said, it's too loud and their music's blaring,
bleeding through our walls, and so she asked the owner

(11:59):
of both theaters to have a word with them. Well,
Keisha Lewis, who's the lead actress in The Hell's Kitchen,
put out a statement saying she thought it was racist
and had the show been a white show not a
black show, Patty might not have complained. Well, then Patty
was asked about this, and she called her the B word,
called her a female dog, and then they asked her

(12:21):
about Order and Orderer supported Keisha. Well, then Order now
is on Patty's list of people she doesn't like, so
she went after Ordra too. Now this is really a bad,
bad look because these are two people of color that
Patty is attacking. And Patty either way, so she said
to apologize. She's had to apologize. People are saying that

(12:42):
she's not sorry because she's sorry. She's sorry because she
got caught, because she got called out here. There's some
discussion now of the Tony Awards on Sunday. Will Patty go?
I'm told by Tony voters they don't really want Patty there.
It will be a distraction. Talk about inviting Blake Lively
as a distraction. Patty's even more of a distraction than Blake.
And so I can't imagine Patty turning up. But it's

(13:04):
just unnecessary. Remember all this started as a little dispute
over noise. It's like having a noisy neighbor. You can
handle it in a certain way. Patty went nuclear, and yeah,
it's so so unfortunate. This has got so nasty. But
people are saying this drama with Order, it's not recent.

(13:26):
It's been going on you, and it's about jealousy. And
it's because a Wardra has more Tony Awards than anybody
else in the history of the Tony Awards. And get this,
she was not the favorite to win. On Sunday, Nicole
Schwarzeninger was the favorite to win Best Actress in Sunset Boulevard.
The voter is still open, and I'm told all this

(13:47):
negativity from Patty has swayed the pendulum and Patty might
have just handed order another Tony Karma Karma Karma Karma. Okay,
quickly before we get a break down, that's what is
going on? What's going on with your girl, Kelly klark.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Well, we've been talking about this for a while now,
so it looks like the future is in jeopardy as
Kelly Clarkson kind of learns that she has limits. And
uh so we've learned that, you know, a few week
a couple of months ago, Kelly took some time off
to take care of some family stuff, and they had
a bunch of fill in hosts like you know, Andy
Cohen and Brooks Shields for the Kelly Clarkson Show. As

(14:25):
she's also you know, figuring out her her divorce with
Brandon Blackstock, her ex husband, and you know, you know,
she she also realized that she's away from her kids.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
She cannot tour.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
She's actually was at shown Atlantic City, one of her
first shows and probably about you know, almost a year,
saying that she misses it, but her grueling schedule won't.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Allow her to tour.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
She's doing a Vegas residency only when she's not doing
her talk show, so she's kind of missing out on
all these these opportunities of things that she misses. She
loves her show, but she loves she loves even more
being able to perform music.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
So everyone is worried. There's staffers that are worried.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
And it was interesting that this week that Hodah came
on The Today Show. She was making her announcement about
her new project and they blaede out. They straight out
asked her. They go, are you taking over for Kelly Clarkson?
And she goes, if there's any and Hodas said, if
I ever come back to TV, it's to be right
here on the Today Show.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
So it kind of swashed that.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Rumor in the sense of that Holder would be taking
over for Kelly Clarkson.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yeah, they Kelly's out all my sources tell me she
doesn't want to do it anymore. And it's not a
bad thing. It's it's you know, she's not leaving. She
kick because the ratings are bad. She doesn't want to
do it. And we've all got priorities, and we've all
got twenty four hours in the day and we do decide.
We get to decide what we want to do is
that time. And if Kelly would rather be singing and
performing than on a set of a show at thirty Rock,

(15:52):
I totally get it. There's nothing bad about this. The
only sad part about it is all the staff. There's
about one hundred people that work on the Kelly shows,
that massive message and so yeah, they moved from LA
to New York, but they will find other jobs. And
I'm not sure Kelly can make herself miserable to make
a hundred other people happy. You've got to find the
happiness there. So Kelly, we support whatever you decide to do. Okay,

(16:15):
We're going to decide to take a quick break and
we will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty
Venaisha and the headstop shoot of her dear friend Garrett
viogel Hey, Garrett let's get to the perls dir dir dum. Well,
unfortunately I don't have here in front of me the
poll that we had on Friday, So to find out

(16:36):
the result you can have to go and look it up.
I know a little bit of at a little bit
of a slip up here. It's normally right here in
my notes. But whoever put together today's scooped? Oh here
it is, thank you. I was just handed this. Oh,
thank you, thank you, thank you. Taylor Swift. No, it's
the wrong pole. That's today's pole. Taylor Swift is today's

(16:56):
I'm not to worry. Stuff happens. It's live. Go vote
onto days page had. Naughty nine are up. I'm very
flexible and we will give you hopefully we'll get it right.
We'll give you the results to at least this poll
to borrow fired. No one's going to fired. And no,
it's time for our nicest of the jay. I've just

(17:19):
got the pole results either, thank you. It took him
a second. The Chrisly family is poised to make millions.
The Chrisly family poised to make millions bucking pardons. So
they've got TV offers, merchandise in office, they've got speaking
of gigs, they're probably going to turn up at political events. Now,
our question is very simple, just crime payesh, But I.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Think they're real it's going to pay.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
In this case, they're gonna. I mean, they went to jail,
they were found guilty by a jury of their peers.
They stole thirty million dollars that now they don't have
to pay back. That debt has been white.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Would you do that?

Speaker 3 (18:02):
You like knowing you can get off you have to
serve a year or two in jail and.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Thirty million, But it gives such a bad message to
every shady person out there and every reality start. Now,
I'm sure Teresa Judici is asking for a pardon, and.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
You know what is asking for a pardon?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, well did he might get one? He knows, did he?
When I worked with didd he the president was very
very close to him. So oh oh well, crime does pay,
at least in this case. Unfortunately, don't forget to vote
on today's pole. Got a Twitter paget, naughty nice rab
our Facebook page and already gossip and me sure to
check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now boom,
it's time for our nicest of the day.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
So It's interesting.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Miley Cyrus sat down with The New York Times and
she was talking about all her family drama, and she
feels like she took on her mom's pain in.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
The divorce with her dad, Billy Ray.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Of course she goes expecting my parents as individuals instead
of just parents, admitting that she carried a lot of
her mother's Trisha's heartbreak over Billy Ray's as her own,
and she kind of then just pushed that along towards
her dad, Trician Billy. Then you know, they split back
about three years ago after thirty years of being together

(19:20):
and obviously being in the spotlight a ton. But now
you know, both parents they're doing their own thing. Tricia's
with you know that guy from Prison Break, Dominic Purcell,
and Billy Ray with Elizabeth Hurley. And you know, Miley
says that after all that drama and she worked through
it all, she she kind of is finding.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Good for you with good for you and good for
the family. And nice is the day now, it is
the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty Liam McSweeney, who was a
housewife on Real New York franchise, she's accusing Anti cored
as weaponizing the other housewives in a coordinated smear campaign,
saying this was retaliation. Duh. These housewives that work for
Andy will do anything for him. I've followed them for years.

(20:02):
I know several of them and is not only their boss,
he's their god. He made them famous, which they always
wanted to be. Some of them he made very very rich.
They're all Team Andy. Let's end with a moment of rub.
Discipline is choosing the future you over the feelings that

(20:22):
you have right now. So it's about tomorrow, not now.
So if you don't want to do something today, if
you'd rather sleep in, if temptations were springing year eha,
if it's just too hard to show up, know that
your tomorrow will not be the tomorrow you want it
to be. Think about the future. That is it for today.
