dear friend Mark Lupo joins us. However, today I'm taping
the podcast at a slightly unusual time because I'm doing
all these TV for Harry and Meghan. I'm on the

morning shows on CNN, on all the different new shows,
so I'm happy to be doing that. But unfortunately it
means that our dear dear Mark Looper, who you know
I love and I know you love him too, he
can't be with us today, but he promises he will
be back next week. Okay, let's jump into the show.
Lots and lots of gossip. What time is it, my friends?

It is tea time, big developing story. At the top
of the show, we've got all the signed drama of
Prince Harry and Meghan Markles New York City paparazzi chase.
Megan and Harry supposedly had a near catastrophic and over
two hour papar arranzi chase. However, in reality, things were

maybe not quite as dramatic as their rep made out,
according to law enforcement sources, so the NYPD put out
a statement saying that cops had quote no collision reports
or nine one one calls were made, which has put
the statement that Harry's publicist made into serious question. The
(01:37):
sources note that two uniformed officers were near missed by
the paparazzi as Harry, Meghan, and her mom left Ziggfeld
Theater in Midtown Manhattan. A source told the Post around
ten pm nine fifty the couple were leaving an award show.
Meghan was awarded the Woman of Vision award. So they

left in their car flanked by both a private security
card and a police car. Now, Harry and Meghan wanted
to return to a private residence on the Upper east Side.
They were not staying at a hotel that were staying.
I had a private residence, not theirs. They were borrowing
a place from a friend where they stayed the night.
But they were apparently hindered by a quote significant press

presence that followed them from the venue. So we're told
about twelve photographers, maybe as few as four followed them.
What happened is at the event that press were invited to,
they did not walk the red carpet. In fact, they
went in through the back door to the venue was
actually a Hurtz Renter car dealership, so they entered through

the back. They refused to do any press, it's their prerogative.
And then they left and the photographers got annoyed that
they were waiting two hours. And then a few of
them might have followed them, but reports are now saying
it was only about four or five six of them.
Somehow during this chase, they ended up the nineteenth Precinct
on the Upper East Side, and then they got into

a taxi cabs. They got out of their car into
a taxi cab, and now the taxi drivers talking about them,
saying they seemed like really nice people, but they didn't
really say anything. Quote, they didn't really seemed scared, but
they looked nervous. And then he said six paparazzi came
out of nowhere. This is the taxi driver. But they

did leave him a big tip, so that's a nice thing.
I think the trip was about sixteen seventeen dollars and
they left him fifty so that's a good thing there.
What has happened here, this is story has exploded. When
we first heard that Harry and Meghan were nearly in
a catastrophic accident, obviously we had flashbacks to Princess Diana,
the tragic way that she passed away. But then as
(03:49):
the day went on, the police put out a statement
that really really suggested that what Harry and Meghan's pr
people were saying simply wasn't true. And so now the
couple has been pulled into this really ugly awful situation
where they're being doubted was their narrative false. I hit
(04:11):
the phones. What's going on here is my sources tell
me he's traumatized about what happened to his mom, traumatized
about it. In fact, he said in an interview, every
time he hears a camera, he thinks about his mom,
and so he absolutely is triggered by this. So I
think Harry felt as if he was in danger, as
if he was being hunted, as if the paparazzi were

chasing him like his mother, And he told his publicist that,
and his publicist told the world. Now the police has
put out a statement saying everybody got home fine. Yes
it was a little chaotic, but they're huge stars. New
York is used to this. We've got Taylor Swift in town,
We've got Beyonce in town. They do get chased by
paparazzi often when this happens. I've been in cars with
Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson did a you slow down, you

don't speed up, You slow down, and you let them
take a picture. After all and Harry were at an event.
She was in full hair and makeup. She looked gorgeous
in this gold dress. I would have taken pictures at
the event. I would have taken a picture if somebody
followed me in the car, and then I would have
gone home. I'm not sure I would have drove around
Manhattan for two hours, jumping in and out of taxis,

jumping into a police station. Just go to the event
and go home. And if this is all too stressful
for you, and it might be, I have a suggestion,
stop going to events. Don't do it. If it's triggering you,
don't go, Megan, go by yourself. Don't take Harry to
these events. They obviously are really upsetting to him. And
I'm trying to be as compassionate as I can hear,

but there's something so weird, so wrong, about this story,
and now I'm afraid Harry's going to be the boy
that cried wolf. Whatever we hear from their publicists again,
we're going to be like, did that really happen. I
knew when this story broke something was up. At first
I read the headline, I said, holy moly, they were
nearly in a crash. They were chased by paparazzi. But

then when I read the story and they said that
they were chased for two hours. Manhattan has cameras everywhere.
If there was a car chase in Manhattan for two hours,
would have footage of it. As somebody, a police source
told me, at that time of night, they could have
gone to the Hamptons in two hours, like they could
have been chased all the way to the Hamptons. There's
(06:22):
no way you can be in a chase in Manhattan
for two hours. You can't be in one for ten minutes.
If you've ever been here, you know the traffic and
the traffic lights. You barely move. So there's something so
odd about this. And I fear now everyone's going to
say that Harry exaggerates, he doesn't tell the truth. We
can't trust him. Next time they put out a statement.
Are they believable? It's just a big, big mess. So

what started off as an uncomfortable evening has now turned
into a real pr crisis for Harry and Meghan. Hey,

when they put the show on polls they're in a
lot of trouble and normally the whole cast gets fired.
So multiple sources are telling Page six that Teresa and
her sister in law Melissa are now so estranged that
the show has had to stop for a little bit
while Bram figures out what are they going to do next.

with the current show under the current conditions, and that
nobody has been offered a contract to come back. But
also too, let's point out, nobody has been fired. What
