Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice Shooters.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Welcome to the not Sham, your host love Shooter, and
it is Friday. Joining us every Friday is our dear
friend Corey Andrew.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Hey, Corey, are you there? I am here.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Good morning everyone, Good morning Darling.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
So we got a note. I love your notes. I
don't find this to be criticism. I find it to
be really constructive. I keep mispronouncing the name Jennifer Gardener.
I put a D in it, Jennifer Gardener with yen thumbs,
and our friend has let us know that it is

(00:47):
Jennifer God no no d no g no d D.
I'm not good at names, Corey. For a long time
I was calling you Corey Andrews with a like Julia.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I don't want to say anything you must say.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Don't be honestly, everybody, don't be shy about saying stuff,
because it's really helpful. I don't take this.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Stuff as like a criticism.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I take it as an opportunity to grow and get
it right.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
So Jennifer Garner.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Well just remember the oh my gosh, I can't think
of his name, but the guy from Sex and the City.
Remember he went, yes, Willy Willy, Look we're Gonson.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I remember when you interviewed him.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
And he will no because remember I just had his
name wrong by mistake, and he went it ended up
in page six because he came from me. He was like,
get my name right, girl. I was like, oh my gosh, Willie.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Garson, let's jump into the show. What time is it,
my friends, It is tea time. Tina Turner's cause of
death has been revealed just one day after she passed away,
so the music icon't and we can use that term
officially with Tina to died on May twenty fourth of

(02:03):
natural causes. Her rep has said she was eighty three
years old. She died in her mansion, her seventy six
million dollar mansion nea Zurich in Switzerland.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Goodness.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Note, she worked her tail off for many years and
she earned every single penny, so I'm glad that she
was enjoying it. Her rep previously said that she had
been battling a long illness, but didn't go into details.
I have a few stories here that I just want
to share. Prince William noted that Simply the Best was
one of his favorite songs in Princess Diana used to

(02:40):
play it in the car when she was driving the
kids to school.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Oh wow.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
William said he would get nervous going to school with
the new kids. Said Diana wanted him and Harry to
know they were simply the best, and he said they
would play that song on the drive to school with
their mom.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Singing it, screaming the sweet.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Of their lugs.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
He eased his nerves when he arrived at class. Also
to Tina Turner told Cher and Oprah that she was
ready to die after battling a long illness. Cher said
she once told me, I'm really ready. I don't want
to put up with this anymore.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Oh wow.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Added that things were so bad towards the end that
Tina had a dialysis machine in her home. Also to Oprah,
who was a very close friend of Tina Turner, she
mentioned in a separate interviewer that the Proud Mary hitmaker
expressed similar sentiments. Rest in peace, Tina Turner. What do

(03:42):
you think about her as a musician, Corey. I know
you're a musician yourself. Did she have any impact on you? Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
My goodness, yes, because I'm more of a soul influenced
rock artist myself, So that rock and roll component that
Tina Turner brought to the table. It was an inspiration
from me as a black man because on a rock too,
we're not all singing R and B and hip hop, right,
And Tina Turner was a.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Rock star, but she was also older.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
She was this anomaly, like a rock and roll grandma
in a way, because I was a kid when she
first came out. She was forty years old already, right,
So watched big influence and I just love her to death.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, people forget that when she really hit her heights
of success, she was forty four years old, which you'd
be unheard of today.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
You couldn't get on the chance.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
No, not even on the radio, No you would.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Radio would not.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Play you if you're forty four years old. And that's
when she really was just taking off.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
So I love her.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I've been playing her music little a little later on
an A show, we have a poll about your favorite
Tina Turner song, So think of yours, Corey, don't tell
me just yet, but we'll get to that a little
later on the show. Okay, moving along. Britney Spears has
reunited with her mom after a long long feud. So
Brittany reunited with her mom Lynne after Lynn asked for

(05:01):
a reconciliation. So we've seen photographs on TMZ of Lynn.
She was driven to her daughter's home by an uber,
so she arrived in La, went to Britney's manager's house,
and then took an uber to Britney's house.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Spears and her mother spent about twenty minutes, half an
hour and not that long together and Britney's husband Sam
was present. Sauces close to the Spears family is saying
the mother and daughter have been texting each other lately
and Lynn is quote committed to making it right with
her daughter, so they've been exchanging text messages. This has

(05:40):
been a really rough relationship. At one point, Brittney really
went after her mom very very aggressively, saying it was
actually her mom who came up with the idea of
the conservatorship and not her father. She broke her silence.
Late last night, Britney took to Instagram to address the visit,

(06:02):
saying that they're trying to make it right.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
This is really sweet.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Quote my sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday
after three years. It's been such a long time. She
shared this with a beautiful throwback picture of herself as
a child. She added quote with family, there's always things
that need to be worked out, but time heals wounds.
And after being able to communicate what I've held in

(06:29):
for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we
are able to try and make things right.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Wow, that's amazing. I just don't trust either of her parents.
I'm sorry. I'm like they've been through so much, but
her parents have always seemed to me to be a
little predatory. You know, the money. It's always about some
sort of they need money for something or payments for something,
and then.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
They'll love her, right, it's right.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, wouldn't it be lovely if they can put the
money to one side and actually have a relationship that
isn't based on cash. Yeah, I'm praying for this. I
know through members of my own family and friends, people
that don't make peace with their family. I'm not saying
you've all got to be the best of friends, but
people who have not made peace with their past in general,

(07:23):
not just their family, can never be happy in the present.
And so I want Britney to be happy now, and
I don't think she'll ever get there unless she really
deals with this awful traumatic past, and I love the
fact that Britney is telling us she did talk to
her mom and she got this stuff out that she'd
been holding inside for a really long time. It is

(07:45):
good to talk about stuff, even the bad stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
My friends.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
I know it's awkward, I know it's embarrassing, I know
it's uncomfortable. But when you tell the truth, when you
get it out, you can start to heal, Which brings
us to our whole question. The day Britness medias has
reunited with her mom after their really three year feud.
It's been going on a really long time. Is this
a good idea or a bad idea? Go vote on

(08:12):
our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page
is naughty year zimb and be sure it's check back
on Monday to hear your results.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Cory, what have you been working on?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yes, well you know. Back to Tina Turner, our rock
icon goddess, Tina Turner said she always had a crush
on Mick Jagger. Now, she made this big revelation just
one month before her death, and in an interview with
the Guardian, she actually said that he was her celebrity crush.
Mick Jagger. Can you imagine so she says, I loved
when we toured with the Rolling Stones. Now, of course,

(08:46):
Tina Turner passed away at age eighty three on Wednesday,
but she revealed this to The Guardian. Now, Jagger and
Turner they shared the stage a handful of times, but
their most important performance was at Live Aid nineteen eighty
five at Wimbley Stadium. What amazing show and what an
amazing performance. So it was at this UK stadium with
a rock stars. He ripped off Tina's skirt while they

(09:07):
were singing It's only rock and roll and it's an
amazing moment because she had that killer body in like
a leotard in a body suit. But Tina recalled that
night in her twenty eighteen memoir and she wrote, he
looked over at me. I was wearing a tight fitting
black leathertop and a skirt, and I could see a
naughty idea for me. Does that skirt come off?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
He asked?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
And I said what? And it was then that Jagger
said to Turner, I'm gonna take your skirt off. I
asked him why, but it was too late to talk
it through because Mick had already made his mind up
and it was done so, but it's a great moment.
I know it sounds a little crass, but it was
all showmanship. It was all fun, and you know, she
had his She was prepared for that moment.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
She was prepared, she consented, she knew it was gonna happen,
and then she ripped his shirt off. Yeah, so after
he took her. That's got such a moment. I've been
reading so much about Tina the first woman, the first
black woman too, to ever be on the cover of
Rolling Stone. I read to an amazing story where she
credits David Bowie with her career. So after she lost
her record label, after she broke up with she couldn't

(10:09):
get a label. Nobody wanted to sign a forty year
old woman, Yeah, a black woman. It just wasn't gonna happen.
So what happened is David Bowie signed his record deal
and the night that he signed the deal actually signed it,
he was going to go out to celebrate with all
the executives, but he canceled. He said, Oh, I can't
come because I've got tickets to night to see my
favorite performer, Tina Turner. He brought all the executives with him,

(10:32):
and that really helped Tina.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I loved that.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Isn't that amazing that David Bowie was the one that
helped her out? She said, people really rallied around her.
Plus two, Let's be honest, we all loved her. But
withinside the music business, she was adored. She was a
musician's musician. Everybody was in awe of her talent, not
just the public, not just the people that bought the records,
but the people that made records. To be around Tina

(10:59):
was just a privilege. Hey, moving along, this story about
vander Pomperu has been really exploded.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I don't really.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Watch the show, but I watched a little bit of
the reunion. It made me very uncomfortable, but I didn't watch. Now,
Ariana has revealed exactly how much money she's made since
the scandal broke. So she was asked by Andy Cohen.
He asked her out right, how's your merchandise going. She
started up a sandwich shop with her friend. They sold
about two hundred thousand dollars worth of T shirts. But

(11:27):
that's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm told too
that she's in talks to do Dancing with the Star endorsements.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
She literally went from pay to profit.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
These reality stars know how to make a dollar. But
get this, this is where she's really going to make
serious money. So this show rated huge. It was sort
of like not quite The Housewives. The Housewives was Brathers
big franchise. Now I would argue Vander pump Rus have
eclipsed The Housewives. It's the number one show on the network.

(12:00):
They all made about twenty five thousand dollars an episode.
But now they are renegotiating their contracts and I would
guess that Ariana is gonna get herself a big fat Oh.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
My goodness, of course.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
You know what reminds me of the first season of
The Jersey Shore when those kids had gotten signed for
twenty eight thousand thousand episode and by season two they
were making one million dollars per episode. Wow, it's very that.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
It's very It's amazing, is it. Bethany frankelized Friends with
Bethany the first two years of Housewives.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Not so much now as you all know, but back
then I was.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Bethany told me she made seventeen thousand for the whole
season for episode the whole season, that's all she made.
And then these ladies went up to make a lot
more than that. Hey, moving along once would be Golmberg
have to say about American Idol, Yeah, you know, will
be god work.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I love her, but she's just becoming like this sort
of like cantankerous lady every now and then. I know,
she's like creaky ye, she's like, get off my lawn,
crazy kids. But anyway, Whoopy Goldberg has been trashing American
Idol in an awkward exchange. She recently actually had an
awkward exchange in which she trashed American Idol on the
View Now. She was forced to backtrack though after trashing

(13:13):
the show, and she called it the downfall of society.
With an awkward exchange with her producer of the show Now,
Goldberg was talking to her co host about a recent
Netflix documentary that dwelled on the final days of Anna
Nicole Smith's life, when she came to the conclusion that,
you know, society likes to be judgy, and Whoopy says,

(13:34):
people watch these shows because they make them feel better.
She went on, I think that we as a society
love to watch stuff just to judge folks, and then
we'll be revealed the exact point in time that she
believes audiences became too quick to pass judgment. She says,
you know, I've always thought that the beginning of the
downfall of society was with what the name of that show?

(13:56):
I always tell you that. Now she was saying this
to her producer, Brian Teita. Now apparently she had been
talking to Brian about this before, because Brian knew exactly
the show she was talking about, and he goes ABC's
American Idol, and the audience laughed as the producer clearly
attempted to remind wood Be that ABC and Disney are
sort of the same company, and that's also who backs

(14:17):
the view and produces the view. So it was a
clear attempt to come, you know, for her to backtrack.
But you know, basically, I think he was telling what
will be like to cool it, like, don't bite the
hand that feeds you. But I'd think he has a
little bit of a point, you know. Simon Cowell made
us very sort of he turned criticism and judgment into entertainment,
he did.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
And she's not wrong. She's not wrong.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I'm not sure i'd bite the hand that feeds me,
but I'm not sure if they're paying my bills. Gets
her check each week each.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Month from the same single.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
But to American Idol, so tread carefully, there will be
but I all sorts of love to.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
She doesn't know anybody anything. She's no Goldberg.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Say what you think girl, That's what I love about her.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
But the producer it got really good.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
He was like ABC's yeah in the ABC building.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
It made me.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Laugh out lad and would be not wrong, not wrong.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
No, no no.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
But and also it used to be on Fox originally,
we should say the show was on Fox first from
two thousand and two to twenty sixteen. But listen when
I watched the Color Purple trailer coming out now with
the Fantasia Marino and Jennifer Hudson is a big oscar
winner like the early days of American Idol. Let's not
pretend it did not create some megastars, Carrie Underwe, Kelly Clarkson,

(15:35):
look the show did it was a shirt.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah, absolutely, Ruben, I still have him. Clay Akaye Oprah
recently said, which I thought was fascinating. Tina Turner turned
down the role.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Of the Color Yes. I did read that because she
was going to play Sugar Avery and she didn't want
to relive her own trauma as an abused wife. So
she said no, she was different choices.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Wow, amazing.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Okay, we're gonna take quick break and we will be
right back. Welcome back to the Naughty Bit Nicer Um
rub Shooter with idea friend Cory Andrew.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Hey, Corey, let's get to the polls.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yesterday we asked you what's your favorite Tina Turner song?
We have a ton of responses here, the best, What's
love got to do with it? Lots of songs popping up, Corey,
what's one of your favorites?

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Well?

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I took the poll, but I had to say there
were too many for me to choose from. But I
do I love one and my favorite, I think I
would say, is one card. What you get is what
you see and it's a great little rock and roll,
hockey talk video and song. Google it.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
River Deep, Mountain High, Croud Mary, who can come crowd Mary?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
That's the one.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Just too many. Thank you for all the music, Tina.
Don't forget to vote on today's pole Twitter page. Naughty
Nicer are by Facebook page and already got it and
me sure to check back on Monday to hear your results.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
And now it's it's time of the d.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yes, and it was, you know, with such a nice
young lady, Miss Taylor Swift. So, Taylor Swift and Maddy Healy,
they were seen kissing during a night out with their
friends in New York City. They were doing a little
PDA at a member's only venue called Zero Bond in
downtown New York City. Now, she was on her day
off from her tour. Now Swift thirty three and Heally

(17:23):
thirty four. They were spending some time with a group
of their pals, you know, people like Zoe Kravitz and
Margaret Quayley and Margaret's fiance Jack antonof Now Jack's one
of Swift's longtime collaborators. Taylor and Maddie were kissing. The
source added, so they were doing a little bit of
a romantic moment there to go.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
It's adorable guests. Who invited me to see her show
on Saturday, Taylor Swift?

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Wait, she invited you herself, but her publicist did.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
So.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
People sent me an email saying we've got two tickets
on Saturday night if you want to come, and they'll
be at will call under your name.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Oh my god, are you going? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Well, they answers, yes, But I did for a second
thing about selling them, because you can get like ten
thousand dollars, you know, and you know I'm going to
have been a good seating though it is called Yeah,
careful when I get to the venue, if you see me,
you've got between the will call and my seat.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
To try and purchase that ticket.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
So if you come already now, if they're listening, I'm
not going to do it with me, tailor. I can't
wait to see you. I think I'm going to get
backstage and say hello, Well.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
My gosh, to stop it. I know she's the best.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Let's do and what is the day? Fans are scared
that Christiana on the Kardashians is starting to look like
Liza in La.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
She does look a.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Little different on the show, so she does say Michael Jackson,
what happened to your face?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Oh my god?

Speaker 3 (18:45):
It is funny. It does sort of make me laugh.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
But I do love Liza and Elie too, So let's
just say she looks a little a little different.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
We don't have to put down it's too.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
I'm crying right now.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
That's she looks really, really really strange.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
I was looking at it being like, oh, who's that?
It took me a minute to realize it's Chris Jenner.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Some stuff. I think she's had stuff. I mean, we
should probably say that bad. This just looks so strange.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Oh wow, okay, googling.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Google, Google, Google. Okay, let's say, with a moment of
rob you're when people don't like you, do this. Leave
you don't have to hang around people that don't like you.
In fact, if you're hanging around people that don't like you,
what you're doing is filling your time with bad energy.
I'm not allowing yourself to meet the people who do
like you. Find people who like you enough enough with

(19:46):
these people that don't say that is it for this week.
