Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice sugar Spice. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Shore.
We made it to the end of the week together.
It's Friday morning. I'm rob Shoot. We're joined by our
regular dear friend Corey Andrew from Instinct magazine dot com. Corey,
are you there? I am here, Happy Friday. Sorry we
(00:29):
missed you. How is Joe's birthday? You took last week
off for a really really lovely occasion. How is you? Yes, yes,
well he's doing wonderful. His birthday was lovely. We just
took a little quick, you know, quiet getaway to a
private location and um, it was really nice. And so
we're back now in the chilly weather of New Jersey.
We missed you terribly. I ended up doing the show
(00:51):
by myself. I had a feeling nobody can really fill
in for you, darling, but I had a friend joining
me technical problems, so I entered as a monologue. That's
my favorite show. I mean, maybe it's a thing. Absolutely not.
You are not going anywhere. Hey, my friend, what time
is it? It is time? Thank you. I missed your
(01:15):
singing too. I forgot in one week. How fabulous you
always sound. So at the top of the show, the
newly single a Rod has posted on Instagram so mia
ours before it was announced reveal that jen and a
Rod broke up. They announced it to the world just
before then, he posted something on Instagram that's getting now
(01:38):
a lot of attention. It was an Instagram story, but
I've seen a copy of it. It was a video
of the couple, photographs of them together with their children.
Also too, it was pictures of their names in hearts
drawn in the sand. He tagged Jennifer too, so j LO.
Jennifer has not addressed the split at all any of
(02:00):
her social media channels yet. But just before they broke up,
a Rod was out there putting out sort of like
a love letter. Maybe it was a final goodbye to
this relationship. So they released a joint statement together to
the Today Show. That was a little strange, but Gent's
really close with Holder. Holder and Jennifer are good friends,
(02:21):
so that's probably what happened there. They're going to continue
to work together, they said, they figured out they're better
friends and they look forward to remaining friends. So that's nice.
They share a few businesses and they're going to do that.
And they said out of respect for their children, remember
their kids have become very very close. They said. The
only other comments they're going to make about this is
to say thank you for everybody who has sent them
(02:43):
their kind words. Yeah, because I thought they had just
patched things up, they were going to let go happily
ever after. And I guess you know, Jen probably really
cannot get past this whole thing with that other medicine.
I don't think Jen can get past this. This really tough.
It's a blow to her ego, I think, right right.
Let's remind you Madison Lacroya from one of those Brothers shows,
(03:07):
alleged that she had communications with Alex. She said they
never met, but he slid into her d m s.
This all became very very public. Don't mess about people,
and if you do miss about, don't do it with
the reality star because it's so so silly. They tried
to make it up. I hit the phones. I used
to work for Jens, so I know her and her
people pretty well, and I hear they really did try hard.
(03:30):
And I think they charged really hard for the wrong reasons,
which is their girls, their families got really really close.
They had merged this this group together member two. They
had planned to get married so if it wasn't for COVID,
they would be getting divorced now because they had a big,
lavish wedding planned. It was going to take a place
in its Listen, that sounds lovely. Now the big question
(03:51):
everybody's asking, I do love it. I've had tweets and
emails about this is where's the ring? What happened to
the million do that a Rod gave her? Now we
should point out Jenny has never actually told us the
fate of the ring with Ben Afflecks. So when Ben
proposed it was a two million dollar rock, I saw it.
(04:15):
It was it was ridiculous. It almost looked like QVC
jewelry because it was too big, do you know what
I mean? Like you know sometimes when you see something,
oh it's so vulgar. It was too much and sheds
like it it's huge on a finger. So this this
ring is apparently fifteen carrots. She hasn't mentioned what she
is doing with it. I would guess, and this is
(04:38):
a guess here, that Jennifer will keep it. I don't
think she ever gave the ring back to Ben, but
I wonder if you wanted it back, like you know,
I mean a million dollars a million dollars, but they
make like twenty millions, Like what are you making the same? Sweet?
They all remember what it was like to be poor.
If you're not born into money, you know, think about
it yourself. We're not millionaires. We do okay, But I
(05:00):
grew up pretty working class. There was times in my
life then I think my family would be considered a
little bit poor. They had five kids, and so I
always remember that it's it's it's actually a blessing now
because whenever I get anything new, like a new pair
of shoes, it still means so much to me because
I always remember not being able to afford them. So
I think Jennifer's a little bit like that. It's a nice,
(05:22):
actual thing to be. It brings us to our whole
question of the day. Newly single j Lo has not
mentioned the ring. Did she give it back? We don't
know what happened to that ring with Ben? Why do
you think? Yes? No? Go vote on that twinter page
or go to a Facebook page Naughty Gossip, Leave a
(05:44):
comment there and be sure to check back on Monday
for your results. Corey Love, what are you working on
that former bachelor? Cold and Underwood? Has not yet spoken
to his ex girlfriend, Cassie ran Off about being gay
after their ugly break up last year. I don't know
if I will ever get the chair to sit down
and talk with her, Underwood told Nightline, I would like to.
I would like to say sorry for how things ended.
(06:05):
Now after they announced they're split, she had accused him
of stalking her, and she got a temporary restraining order
against him that has since been lifted though, so that's
a good thing. But Underwood admits also that you know,
he made a lot of bad choices after their breakup
because he was struggling with his sexuality. I don't know
if it's an excuse. I can maybe understand it, Rob,
(06:26):
But at the same time, I mean, he did things apparently,
like he put like a GPS tracking device on her
car allegedly, so it's a little messy. I'm not sure
if that's just like, oops, I'm sorry, I'm gay, right,
it's bad behavior. I also think too, I wish he
had called her or emailed her. They've broken up, they
did find love on National TV, or that's what they
try to do. I think it's just respectful here. We
(06:49):
welcome that he's telling his truth. We really do here,
and there's been a lot of criticism online about him,
and people are very very angry about him. We're going
to take high road of the kind road here. You
know what, my friend, I'm happy that you're now telling
your truth, you're living your truth, but also to an
apologies in order and instead of sitting down with Nightline
(07:12):
or g M A. Right, you've got a phone number,
you got a email call tell me Cory, because you're
much more plugged in with the gay community than than
I am, and particularly because of your worker Instinct magazine
dot com. What are you hearing of people angry? Are
they welcoming? Where? Where's the where's the tide? It was
kind of split and I'll tell you the biggest conversation
(07:33):
last night, though, are on our Facebook for Instinct Magazine,
where a lot of gay men were angry that there's
this promotional campaign that seems to be wrapped around him
coming out, tied to a Netflix television show co starring
Gus Skinworthy as the pretty best friend who's going to
teach him the ropes of being gay. And they're like
angry that it's a little sensationalistic and you know, coming
(07:54):
out can be very traumatic, and you can lose family
and friends, and they're kind of making it into like
a reality show. So there's some resentment. I have to say.
I can see that. I can see, although I'm willing
to sort of call my jets a bit until the
show comes out. And maybe this will be a great thing.
Maybe it will help people who are struggling with their
sexuality to find the way. But it is an interesting story,
(08:17):
isn't it. We'll move along then. So John Corbett, I
loved him. He was eight and sure in sexuality. That's
the one I wanted Carrie to end up with. I
know most people wanted Mr big Well. Our friend Nicky
Goston over at page six. Nicki has been a co
host of this show. I love Nikki. He never know Nikki.
Nikki got to speech to Johnna and he told Nikki exclusively,
good for you, Nikki. He told her that he will
(08:39):
reprise his role as Aiden Sure in the hockey anticipated reboot.
He said, he's really really excited about it. Nicki asked him,
of course she did. How many episodes she said, and
he said, I think quite a few. Well that's a
good sign. But what's going to happen to Mr Big.
Page six reported before that Chris Nof was not coming back.
(09:01):
Chris then hinted on social media that he could be.
But is there room for Carrie Bradshaw to have Aiden
and Mr Big? I don't know if there is some
Maybe maybe Mr Big is not coming back, which is
what has been reported, and she's going to end up
with Aiden. Who would you rather have be with? Corey? Oh?
I do love that. Chris No, I have to say,
(09:22):
I mean law and order and everything. So Chris not.
Actually I got my start in his club. My record
release party, might see the release party was at his club,
the cutting room. It's a great place, isn't it. It's
a great pass think Chelsea. If ever, you're in New
York after the pandemic and you want to hear great
live music, go there and he's sometimes behind the bar.
Mr He was there, He was there, or listen Rob.
(09:45):
I'm not you know, I am not bragging. But I
used to represent his wife as a model, Tara, So
she hooked it up for me. So that the world
small right, if you do right by people, they'll do
right back. Were big believers here. So Aiden is coming
back to sex in the City. We're not sure about
Mr Big yet. I'm really excited about this. I know
(10:06):
I might be a little bit disappointed, but I just
missed these characters also too. We've got to remind everyone
Kim Cattrall Samantha Jones is not coming. No back and
no explanation. They're not getting killer off. They're not going
to explain it. They're just going to carry on as
if the friendship drifted a past that makes me sad.
It makes me sad, but I'll still be watching What's
(10:28):
happening with Justin and Jennifer Anderson. Yes, well just In thorow.
He is discussing his friendly divorce from Jennifer Anderston three
years after they're split. He told Esquire that it wasn't
true that they split because he preferred living in New
York and she loved living in l A. He caused
that in over a simplification. While he didn't say what
did lead to the decision, Thou, who appears shirtless on
(10:51):
the cover of alongside his dog Kuma, made it clear
that they're on very good terms For excess. He says,
you know what, we remained friends. We don't talk every day,
but we call each other, we face time, we text,
like it or not, we didn't have that dramatic split.
We love each other and I'm sincere when I say
I cherish our friendship. That's very nice. And also, you know,
(11:12):
there was a big rumor too that they split over
like the decision of which one of them wanted to
have kids and which one of them didn't. So he
says about the split that, you know, it didn't really
make a difference for him because I don't feel like
I have that compulsion, he says, I don't have a
resistance to it, but I don't have an eagerness for it.
So it wasn't really like the children issue split them
up either. So I think they're just being grown ups
(11:34):
about their breakup, and I think that's really cool. I
did too. I wish she said what did break them up?
I know I'm being nosing and I reported at the
time there was many many aspects to this, but I
don't believe New York versus l A was maybe not
the reason, but it really got to the essence of
who they are. They're just such different. He's such an
East Coast vibe and she's such an l A girl,
(11:58):
And there is a different vibe there. I'm much more
of an East Coast person. I like seasons. I really
like a rainy day in New York. I feel like
I'm back in London. I'm I'm really straight like you.
I know you love the sun. Cory was out there
in that Bikinia your picture looking. I could not go
to Brazil. It's too hot. Oh, I'd rather go to Greenland,
(12:23):
somewhere cold. I like Scotland, I like this, or Ireland
I don't like that, and I'd only go to Europe
in the winter. I don't like in l A. I
literally look ridiculous. I wear a huge hat, sunglasses, I
sit under an umbrella. I'm branched up like I'm a nun.
My skin doesn't like the sun. Cory. So this is
(12:44):
a lovely interview. They are still friends too, so good
for you too. And then a little bit of royal
news before we go to break. This is sad Prince
Harry and Prince William will not walk side by side
at the funeral. The Palace has confirmed and that they
will not stand next to each other. Actually between them
(13:04):
is going to be a gentleman called Peter Phillips. That's
Princess Anne's son. He's going to be walking between the
princes as they escort the coffin into St. George's Chapel. Also,
once they're inside the service, they're not seated next to
each other. I know this tells me, and my reporting
(13:25):
tells me to the wounds between these two boys are deep.
The Palace would like nothing more than a photograph of
William and Harry together, if just for thirty seconds, so
they can plaster it out all over the world. And
behind the scenes they can be really angry with one another.
But the Palace wants this story over with, and it
(13:45):
won't be and it's much deeper than than any of
us thoughts. We've also got the guest list. There's only
thirty people allowed at the funeral because of COVID restrictions.
No real big surprises on the list. I'm not going
to rattle off all, but the kids are not going
to be there. William and Kate's children are not going
to be there. And interestingly, to Prince Andrew, who's the
(14:07):
controversial son of the queen and he's the one that's
wrapped up in this Jeffrey Epstein absolute horror story. His
wife Fergie, the Duchess of York. She's not been invited.
William didn't invite her to the wedding either. They were
quite cross that. She talked a lot about Princess Diana
in her book, and she did a lot of TV interviews.
(14:29):
She went on Oprah and talked about Diana. So she's
still a little bit out with the family. But this,
this visual of the boys not walking next to each
other and not sitting next to each other. This is
bad at their grandfather's funeral. And I thought this was
going to be like the big reconciliation. If a funeral
doesn't bring it together, like nothing will. Nothing's going to
(14:52):
bring them together. It is so sad. Hey, we're going
to take a quick break and who back. Welcome back
to the Nott Even Night Show. I'm your house, Rob
Shooter with that dear dear friend Corey Andrew. Hey, Cory,
let's get to the poles and you I missed your singing.
So yesterday we talked about Colton Underwood has been flooded
(15:15):
with authors to return to TV as a gay bachelor. Yes,
Corey told you about the Netflix show he's doing, which
is really about his new lifestyle and becoming a gay man.
This is actually a dating show. He's been getting offered
to go back and do dating shows. I don't think
it's going to be on ABC, but logo, this sounds
like a show for Bravo. Can you imagine Bravo they
(15:37):
eat up getting lots and lots of authors. Should he
do it? Wow? Fifty three percent said No, he shouldn't
do it. I think it's too soon too. He's just
got comfortable with himself. He's just admitted the truth. Lay
with that for a little bit before you start looking
for a boyfriend. Yeah. I agree. I actually was one
of the people who voted no in the you know,
(16:00):
I thought, like I told you, I think he needs
to just like not make this into a PR stunt
like get to know who you are, don't make it
into a reality show. Right. It feels very Ardashian, That's
what Mark Luco said. It feels like they're all trying
to sell us something. Don't forget to vote on today's
Polo to I try to page at Naughty Nice Rob
on facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to
(16:20):
check back on Monday to hear your results. And now
it's time for today Gwyneth Paltrow on if her daughter
will go into the family biz. Well, let's see what
goode Paltrow isn't sure of sixteen year old daughter Apple Martin, who,
by the way, if you add an eye, it's Apple Martini.
(16:42):
I just thought i'd throw that out there. But anyway,
when it doesn't know if her daughter will join the
family business and go on her footsteps, because you know,
for now, the teenager is happy just you know, promoting
her mom, the mogul and the famous lifestyle empire Goop
that her mother started. When Savannah Guthrie asked if Apple
event really go into the family business, Paltrow equipped, which one,
(17:04):
which is a little arrogant because it's just jealous. She's
totally that girl. But she says, I don't know because
I think both of my kids are sort of like,
we don't want to think about what we want to
do right now. We just want to see what unfolds.
She shared, And I think it's a great thing because
that means she's not really pushing her kids into any direction,
which I think that's pretty cool. It is great. We
(17:25):
should point out to that they do have Chris Martin
and Gwyneth Paltrow's man, so they don't have to really
rush into making any decisions. Maybe ever nicely stuff the
day and now no est of the day. This made
me laugh so loud. So Patrick Swatson did an interview
on The Kelly Clarkson Show with Kelly, I love that show,
and she asked him if his dad, who's Arnold the Governor,
(17:49):
we know him the Terminator, if he used the famous
lines from his film in Everyday Life. Patrick said, all
the time. He said bedtime, his dad leaves the room,
he turns around and says, I'll be back, and it's
like that. Really, I love naughtious That ye made me laughing.
(18:13):
Now it's time for a moment of rob. You get
a rob. You gotta thank you darling. Ask yourself, if
you knew it was going to take years to get
where you want to be, would you still want it?
Because that's exactly how long it's going to take. Dreams
don't come true overnight. They take a lot of work.
(18:37):
And we're honest on this show where friends, you gotta
put in the work if you want the dreams to
come true. Do you do you want them that badly?
What do you think? Oh my gosh, you know again
with these quotes, you're so brilliant. Um. That one made
me really think, because you know, I've been trying to
pursue my career for so long and it's taken me
(18:57):
this long to know who I am and to be portable.
I know who might tell it, but if you told
me when I was like nineteen it was going to
take me that long, I might have just become an
accountant and be done with it. You know, so I
don't know. It is tricky. Great question, I say yes.
If I knew it was going to take me a
decade to get this podcast, to be able to sit
(19:17):
with you five days a week and giggle for twenty minutes,
I would say yes the joy this gives me, and
I hope it does you too. I know it does,
and so my answer is yes. But it's a good question,
isn't it. Hey. That's it for this week. Thank you
so much for listening to The Naughty but Nice with
Robin Corey Show, a production of I Heart Radio. Don't
(19:41):
forget to subscribe on the I Heart Radio app Apple podcast.
Wherever you listen, leave us a review. Welcome back, Corey Love,
and remember, if you're going to be naughty altogether. Now
you've got something to be nice. It's not even a
(20:01):
nice bread ro
