Speaker 1 (00:04):
I'm Katie Curic, and I'm back with a new season
of my podcast Next Question. You know, we've been through
a lot over the past few years. I developed anxiety
and depression. I became a little more like agueraphobic. I
didn't even want to leave the house. I don't know
about you, but sometimes I feel like all I hear
is bad news. Is always something, climate changing, wars, wealth
(00:28):
of equality, anti semitism, racism, bad things happened fast forward.
So on our new season of Next Question, We're going
to try something a little different. We're talking about resilience,
courage in the face of murgery, Digging deeper. I feel
stronger I could still survive its finding strength with him.
(00:53):
We're talking about how to look on the bright side
when everything around you kind of sucks. We've been before.
I like to call myself a hopeful nihilist. Do the
best you kid. Hopefully we will calm down from all
of this. Think of the show as a toolkit to
help you navigate this crazy world we live in. We'll
(01:15):
be helping you find ways to make you better at
getting older, loving the body you have, talking to your teenager,
finding the real keys to happiness, handling getting sacked managing
technology twenty four to seven and figuring out our modern
media landscape. We're digging deep into something psychologists are now
(01:35):
calling post traumatic growth, or as some of you told us,
embracing the good and bad. Focus on those things that
are within your control, and you'll do better. I'll be
talking to some pretty amazing guests. Some you'll know, some
you may not, but all of them will have stories
that will teach all of us to bounce back, regroup,
(01:58):
and live better. We all need to give ourselves a
little bit more grace and a little bit more forgiveness.
Are you go through an awful, terrible incident that you
never would have wished on yourself or anyone else, and
some good comes from that. Cynicism and optimism sort of
are dance partners in my brain. I'm going to give
optimism the lead, as I always do, because the alternative
(02:20):
isn't as pleasant. You're going to look back and regret
those times in your life that you didn't fully get
to live because you were so worried about what do
you look like? And by the way, what are you
all curious about? What do you want to ask me?
What is the biggest struggle that she has had as
a woman. I hope you're doing well. How she has
(02:43):
overcome a lot of her obstacles in life and remained
so adorable and full of joy. Ah shucks. I had
the nicest listeners, you know. I'm really excited for us
to explore all these things together. That's all lean up
on this season of Next Question with Me Katie Curik.
