Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Walmart is sneaking in as you're rebound. You know you're
mister steel, your girl. You got disappointed by somebody. But
Walmart is going to pick up your tears, or wipe
your tears. That sounds better.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Wipe your tears and I'll tell you what that means.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Oh well, not this time. This time they will be
your shoulder to cry on. I'll tell you why in
just a second. But first, did you guys ever watch
Gilmore Girls? Yes?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I like the resounding right now, so freaking good. That
makes me really happy. But for the first time, man smart,
she can just get it together. Wait, which one was?
I think she's a cook person? Yes, all right, but
no I thought it was I thought she was a friend.
Oh no, I might be wrong completely. I don't know.

(00:47):
You're right it is a friend. But no, but wait,
watch friends. Yay, daughter's friend.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
But the girl he's talking about you're talking about Melissa McCarthy's.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, what was her name?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
She was hot?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Hilarius. I don't know. It's really funny, but you have
to see it. But it's streaming now.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
If you want to get in on the Gilmore Girls Party,
but that's not what I'm talking about. For the first
time in twenty five years, the Gilmore Girls is dropping
their very own soundtrack. You can order it on vinyl,
CD or cassette, and it's actually really interesting. I kind
of scrolled through it because I was like, oh, what
artists are like they're gonna be on this soundtrack then,
but they have songs called Luke's Window and Shoe Bad Bird.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Wait, like they sing them. I don't know. I don't
even know if these are.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Just like soundc like just sitting out there going like, man,
they could ever just make a Gilmore Girls soundtrack, my
life would be complete.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yeah, So like thirty years later they decided to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, there's a track on it called sad Dog Like
I'm very confused, Yeah, also kind of interested.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I'm gonna listen to it, so why not?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Hey, what exactly what I support? I'm here for it.
Gillmore Girls, get it?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Okay, now let's go back to Walmart and how they're
gonna hold you while you cry? Oh, not really taken
this way too far, But basically what happened was Starbucks
released those cute little barristas they completely sold out, and
Walmart said, it's all right, stop crying. We got to
and now they've got their own version of the Little Priss.
Well they're still bears. So if we talked about this

(02:17):
a little bit. They came out with these little glass
bears that you can drink your coffee out of that
are a little holiday themed. They completely sold out of Starbucks,
so Walmart said they're they're going to do it too.
The bear. They have their version and you can get
it there.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Really cute. I don't understand why people go crazy. They're
going to be on eban like three months. I mean,
this is what you got to do as a business.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
You release just a little bit and if you get
one now, all of a sudden, you're in the exclusivity club.
And so that's why, which is also silly because you
could actually drop like chewed gum and say that only
twenty people get this blue chewed gum.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
That's disgusting. Well yeah, but it'd be worth a lot
of money. Who's gonna eat that? I don't know, say
Louie Thomason chewed it.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Who's going to be the brave person to pull out
your Walmart bear next to someone who has a Starbucks
one and get you get judged. Oh oh, that's a
Walmart one.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
It's like the bootleg. Stanley said, why do we released
like a Jubil show there? Oh my gosh. We could,
but it would be Jewbil's face. Okay, not what I
was thinking whatsoever. I was singing a bear it had
like Okay, that's what's trending. Yeah, that would make the
Walmart one look good.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
