Speaker 1 (00:08):
Harvard grade inflation is making the grades at Harvard completely insignificant. Also,
Michelle Obama complains about white people hair I kid you not,
that is actually what she said. And snap benefits are
people going to have to reapply? And how many people
who are no longer living are getting a government paycheck?

(00:28):
All that more coming up on this episode of Turning
Point Tonight. My name is Joe Bob. Thanks so much

(01:11):
here because I think this is one of the bigger
stories to come out of the ridiculous, poopious state in
the Union, California. California has revoked seventeen thousand driver's licenses
for CDL commercial driver's licenses who went out to for
some reason illegal immigrants. How the heck did this even happen?

(01:36):
While we'll dive into that, is there malfeasans considering it's California,
probably pretty obviously, and what the heck is going to
happen now? Will dive into all of that again. TBT
ATBOSA dot com is the email address. Very excited. We're
kind of doing a little bit different different things here
in the format here is effectively live. We're doing it.

(01:57):
We're doing it live. So to start things off, California
vokes seventeen thousand CDLs. How did this happen? Well, it
started in twenty thirteen, took effect in twenty sixteen with
a bill called AB sixty, which ironically was called the

(02:18):
Safe and Responsible Drivers Act. The law enabled eligible individuals
to obtain a standard driver's licenses without providing legal immigration status.
In other words, the former governor of California, Jerry Brown, said, hey,
all of the people that are in our state illegally
should be able to get driver's licenses. For some reason,

(02:40):
the crazy woke left legislature in California said that's a
fantastic idea. So they passed a bill and have been
doling out millions of driver's licenses from the state of
California two people who are in the country illegally. Now
it gets really interesting when it comes to CDLs. But
let's just specifically go over some of the the implications

(03:01):
of getting driver's licenses. First of all, proof of identity
counted in order to get the driver's license in the
state of California. Now we're talking about standard auto driver's licenses.
A foreign passport worked or a birth certificate. Again, nobody's
ever faked up a birth certificate in the United States
of America, especially from a foreign land. You also needed

(03:23):
to have a proof of California residency. Again, not legal
proof that you're in the country, you're allowed to be
in the country, but just proof of residency. In other words,
a utility bill or some sort of rental agreement. Again,
nobody ever has mocked up a rental agreement that you
can just print out online. Just you know, anybody can

(03:44):
do again, that's never happened, of course, but no immigration
documents were required at all. Now, what's really interesting about
this is that it marked on the driver's license that
federal limits actually did apply, even though the driver's licenses
were valid for driving in California and as a state

(04:06):
ID also the provisions in this so the DMV does
not share any applicant data with federal immigration authorities. In
other words, you can't be enforced. They can't enforce the
law if you're not here legally in this country, So
that happens. Twenty thirteen is signed into law by then
Governor Jerry Brown, saying anybody in the country illegally can

(04:29):
get a driver's license in the state of California and
again ironically titled the Safe and Responsible Drivers Act. Here's
where things get a little bit wonky in the law, specifically,
specifically sub section twelve eight h one. Section three says
this this sub subdivision shall not apply to applications for

(04:53):
commercial driver's licenses. The Department shall require all applications for
commercial driver's license to include the app plants' Social Security
account number. In other words, this law, even though it
extended drivers' licenses to illegals specifically said but not CDLs.
You have to be in the country legally, and you

(05:15):
have to prove the you're in the country legally by
providing social security and information which says, hey, you're either
a permanent resident or you're a naturalized citizen. All of
the things that are necessary at the federal government should
apply to CDLs here. So what happened effectively that allowed
a bunch of illegals to get CDLs, because as we

(05:37):
stated earlier, California has revoked seventeen thousand CDLs from illegals. Well,
that is the question that we're trying to find out,
and I can almost guarantee you what it boils down
to is somebody decided to break the law specifically and
win allowing drivers' licenses for regular vehicles for illegal immigrants

(05:59):
also included CDLs. Now, just as a taste of who
these types of people are driving on our roads with
commercial driver's licenses, driving thousands of pound weapons, which effectively
what truckers are, I offer you this clip. Let's see, Glenn,

(06:19):
it's NOTT six. If you want to get this queued up.
This is just one of many instances this happened in Arkansas.
This guy has a commercial driver's license from the state
of California and couldn't really identify any traffic signs, doesn't
speak the language. This is one of many examples. Play
this cut six.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
What company do you work for? Company? Your company is
called California's Yeah, yeah, you don't understand week Okay, all right,

(07:04):
all right? You see this sign over what shoes? The
sign say paint must must enter?

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Right?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Then you tell me what does it say? Read? I
need you to read that sign? Yeah, we next thread? Okay,
read it again? Wait again, read it again? Oh chucks,
all right, tea.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Must enter?

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Waiting? Right?

Speaker 3 (07:38):
What is this?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Worry past tense?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Now, So in case you needed more examples of that,
there it is. This is happening thousands of times across
the country. We saw the tragedy in Florida. We saw
another tragedy of a guy who had a driver's license,
a commercial driver's license Uma California, who killed three different
people in Ontario, California. The bottom line is this is

(08:06):
happening all over the place, and it started in twenty
thirteen with AB sixty again, the ironically named Safe and
Responsible Drivers Act, which is crazy. Now, like we mentioned,
that Act specifically said this does not apply to CDLs.
It does not apply to commercial driver's licenses. If you

(08:27):
want a commercial driver's license, you have to go through
the federal process. You have to be a naturalized citizen
or a permanent resident, you have to submit your social
security For some reason, that didn't happen. So the question
that we all need to be asking, and honestly I
don't know the answer to, is who allowed this to happen.
I hope that the Secretary of Transportation digs into this

(08:50):
and finds out somebody made of big oops or is
trying to sub subvert democracy in a way that just says, hey,
we're going to ignore the law, but you know semantics.
At this point, I hope somebody is found responsible for this,
indicted for it, and then tried for the crime of
completely ignoring both federal and the state's own law. Now,

(09:14):
at this point, like we mentioned, seventeen thousand drivers' licenses
have been revoked at the California levels to commercial driver's licenses.
I would only imagine that happened because the federal government
is putting pressure on the state saying, hey, you are
completely ignoring federal law. Not only that you're completely ignoring
your own law. It all started with this whole idea

(09:35):
of well, illegals need driver's licenses too, and loan behold
the slippery slope form of this has become well, I
guess illegals are now getting driver's licenses. On one hand,
I'm very very glad that these people are being pulled
off the road and their licenses are being revoked. On
the other hand, holy cow, how did this let how

(09:57):
did anybody let this happen for his law as it did.
The only fix here is to find who is responsible
for giving all of these commercial driver's licenses to these illegals,
subverting federal and state law. And what are we going
to do about that? People in California are going to
scream this is political prosecution, persecution, whatever it is. No,

(10:20):
this is complete avoidance of state and federal law, and
somebody needs to be held accountable for it. We got
a bunch of stuff to get to. Specifically, Harvard is saying, well,
they're the grades are no longer effective. Yeah, well, guess
how much grade inflation has affected the quote unquote most
elite school. We've also got some hilarious videos. We're going

(10:43):
to clean out all of our clips that we didn't
get to this week. One specifically as Michelle Obama saying
that hair is white supremacy. She doesn't actually say that,
so I don't want to, you know, throw words in
her mouth, but she effectively said that in a clip
that we're going to play you. Also, coming up new
lawsuit is going to hopefully uncover which NGO's got money

(11:06):
from the Biden administration to resettle and house illegal immigrants

just exponential amounts because people don't people like us, which
is great. Go to YouTube Turning Point Tonight TBT at
TPUSA dot com. I would love some of your thoughts

(12:14):
on this. Finally, it seems that maybe we will be
getting some answers as to which NGOs, non government organizations
got how much money to resettle illegals into the United
States of America. Breitbart is reporting the Center to Advance
Security in America or KASA. I don't know if there's

(12:36):
supposed to be a pun their kasa meaning home in Spanish,
but the Center to Advanced Security in America has filed
a lawsuit against the government to secure records that would
expose the millions of American tax dollars that went to
non governmental organization NGOs to settle they say migrants, but

(12:57):
by the way, by Breitbart, don't play into their language
use the term illegals. Across the United States under former
President Joe Biden. Bright Bart News has the exclusive there
COSTA executives told breit Bart News in the fiscal year
twenty twenty two, for instance, NGO's secured I don't don't

(13:17):
release your bowels, to put it nicely when you hear
this number. But in twenty twenty two alone, NGO secured
six point four billion dollars in American taxpayer dollars to
offer benefits to illegals caught at the border. The bottom
line here is we have no idea how much money

(13:38):
went to these non governmental organizations. We do know that
several left leaning individuals Stacy Abrams comes to mind, got
billions of dollars in contracts from the federal government issued
by the Biden administration to do freaking nothing. Actually, to

(13:59):
do nothing would be great. This is even worse. It
actually was used to settle people and again I'm using
those terms because that's what it's written in the United
States who shouldn't have been here to begin with by
the Biden administration. And hopefully this lawsuit pokes and prods
in some ways that we haven't seen previously and gets

(14:20):
some much needed information in order to figure out who
the heck is in this country. And what it is
that they are doing. In addition to that, I know
we're jumping quickly because there's a lot of stuff to
get to. I thought this was really interesting. The federal
government obviously opened back up this week. President Trump signed

(14:41):
the Continuing Resolution that allowed well the government to reopen. Specifically,
what the Libs have been talking about is Snap benefits,
food insecurity they like to call it. These things are
vital to the American populace. Well, it was really interesting
when the Secretary the Agriculture Department, Brooke Rawlins, took to

(15:03):
the media to describe how much money is being wasted
specifically in the SNAP program but also the overall EBT
program as a whole. These numbers are pretty dang ridiculous.
One hundred eighty six thousand individuals who are getting SNAP

(15:27):
checks are dead. In other words, the government is sending
almost two hundred thousand checks out every single month to
people who are deceased. Five hundred thousand Americans are receiving
two forms of SNAP benefits or food stamps or EBT
or whatever it is, which you should only be getting

(15:50):
one of those. Clearly, that's the whole thing. In other words,
there's huge amounts of waste, fraud, and abuse, but it
doesn't actually stop there, which is even more concerning. Broke
Rawlins went on to say that most of the data
is coming from just twenty nine Red states. Well why
is that. Well, we talked about this a little bit yesterday.

(16:11):
Because we don't have all of the data, there's actually
no way to know how much specifically is being wasted.
Yesterday we were talking about the fresh Foods initiative and
what people are actually buying with their EBT cards or
with their Snap benefits, and unfortunately the answer is we
don't know. So just in these twenty nine mostly red states,

(16:33):
there is one hundred and eighty six thousand people who
are dead who are receiving SNAP benefits, and five hundred
thousand Americans. Half a million people are getting two separate checks,
which should not be the case, either one or the other.
You definitely shouldn't be getting two. I would be willing
to bet and I'm I'm gonna go out on a
limb here and just take a guess that if we

(16:55):
actually get all of the data from the big Blue states,
which by the way, account for the big state in
the Union, California, and one of the most populous states
in the Union, New York. I would be willing to
bet that those numbers are going to double, if not triple,
in terms of people who are getting them who are
no longer alive, or people that are getting multiple forms
of this and committing fraud effectively. One of the more

(17:18):
worrisome statistics is that she also pointed out, she said this,
I think in a good way, but the numbers are
so small that it actually makes me kind of concerned.
About one hundred and twenty Americans have been arrested for
committing Snap fraud, which again is great, but also only
one hundred and twenty people out of a country of
three hundred and forty million people, who what's the number

(17:40):
they've been thrown around, forty million are on Snap benefits.
You're telling me only one hundred and twenty have actually
been arrested for committing the fraud of stealing from the
American taxpayer. That seems a little bit too low for
my liking, and I think there's a lot more that
can be done to Fortunately, the administration seems to be

(18:02):
on the right track. Brooke Rawlins says that the best
approach is to have people since the government shut down,
or since it's reopened, reapply, which I know seems like
the best way to go about it to make sure
or at least try to ensure that there's not as
much waste, fraud and abuse that continues. Yeah, just have

(18:22):
them all reapply and then hopefully we can kind of
peel back all of that waste, fraud and abuse that
people are clearly doing. Like I said, almost two hundred
thousand people specifically in Red States, interestingly enough, are stealing
from the American people because they well they've been dead
for a very long time, and I almost guarantee you
a high percentage of those checks are still getting cashed

(18:43):
by someone. We hope that it stops, and we hope
that it stops. Tune. Harvard is, interestingly enough, going to
be another topic of conversation that we're going to get to,
not necessarily right now. Maybe we'll talk about that after
the break, because got to remind you. TBT at TPUSA
dot com is the email address. Also go subscribe to
her YouTube channel to tease the Harvard thing a little bit.
Even Harvard, the woke elite school, elite I use in quotes,

(19:08):
is saying that, hey, the grades are not are not
exactly exemplifying the education that the students are getting here. That,
as well as so many more clips from from from
around the Internet this week that we'll get to you,
especially here on a Friday. Coming up after the break
TBT atbusa dot com if you want to send your thoughts, comments,

(19:29):
concerns in email form. Also subcriber to our YouTube channel.
We will be right back after the break. Don't go away,
Welcome back to you. Turning point tonight. We're together, We're
charting the course of America's cultural comeback. I want to

(19:50):
talk about this Harvard grade inflation thing that even the folks,
even the wokes at Harvard, are talking about and are
very concerned about. But I recognize we're we're talking a lot,
We're kind of throwing a lot of information at you
at one point, So I I do want to give
you a taste of dessert. Right it is Friday, and
I know there's a lot of things that need to

(20:11):
be talked about. But well, just because just because we can,
this is a video that's making the rounds around the
internet that is well, I regret to inform you that
the libs are dancing again outside of an ice dissension
detention facility. The Libs have taken to the street to
show their displeasure in the form of dance. Play this

(20:33):
cut four.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Stopping.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
I think that's probably that we fully have grasped the
fact that Libbs, when in doubt dance, I really know
follow up to that, other than the fact that I
regret to inform you the Libs are dancing again. Actually,
interestingly enough, the federal government has changed its entire posture
on immigration specifically due to those dance moves, as has

(21:30):
all policy. If you don't know this, in the United
States of America, policy is dictated specifically based on the
dance moves of blue haired, jobless Libs who have decided
to take the streets and protest in the form of dance.
All right, back to like the things that actually matter.
I thought this was actually really interesting. Specifically in the

(21:51):
Harvard Crimson Harvard University many know as one of the
elite American education institutions, even Harvard is saying, hey, uh,
some of these school processes that we have, some of
the education elements that we have are not great, specifically
when it comes to grade inflation. This is from the

(22:11):
Harvard Crimson itself, so the school's own newspaper. More Harvard
College students than ever are passing their classes with fine colors,
but the college's evaluation system is failing to perform the
key functions of grading. According to a report released by
the Office of undergrad Education on Monday, it found that

(22:32):
more than sixty percent of grades awarded at Harvard were a's.
What sixty percent of all of the grades in schools
are as? Now, I understand that the majority of people
that go to Harvard, you know, minus the DEI admissions,
which is one hundred percent still happening. Don't think that

(22:53):
it's not for a second, because it definitely is. Sixty
percent of the grades are a's. Because I remember in
high school specifically, learning that a C was average, a
B is going above and beyond, and an A is
like the cream of the crop. You're telling me that
sixty percent of people in every single class that they

(23:15):
have to take at Harvard are just so high above
and beyond that they deserve an A in the school. Now,
compare that to two decades ago, it was only a quarter.
In other words, in the last twenty years, it has
gone from twenty five percent of people get a's in
their classes to sixty percent of a's. The Crimson goes

(23:38):
on to say, the faculty committee is exploring whether instructors
should be able to award a limited number of a
pluses to undergrads to crack down on grade inflation. According
to the reports, in other words, instead of resetting what
the letter grade actually is or means, they say no, no.

(23:59):
Instead of doing that, let's create another tier above that
which means A plus. The highest grade and undergraduate can
receive is an A. And the committee says that the
proposal is going to potentially quell inflation, which is crazy.
The last piece of information that I thought was interesting

(24:21):
out of this is that since twenty fifteen, the proportion
of students receiving A grades has risen by twenty percentage points,
So in just ten years, twenty percent higher of the
kids that are that are getting a's in their classes.
The median grade point average in twenty fifteen was three
point four to six. Now it is three point eight three,

(24:44):
which is again crazy. This kind of is in line
with a bunch of the stuff that's happening in municipal
school areas that have effectively saying, well, we can't fail
any of these students, because that'll make us look bad,
and if we look bad, we might lose our funding.
So sure, just give everyone an A. And you kind
of expect that from local public schools. You don't expect

(25:06):
that from quote unquote one of the most elite universities
on planet Earth. It is crazy, to say the least,
specifically concerning the fact that Harvard supposedly is one of
the best institutions. Coming up next, oo Boy out of Michigan.
There is a clip that's been floating around the Internet

(25:28):
that I need to bring you. That is the reason
why Libs, even Bill Maher agrees, the reason why Libs
are going to continue to lose election after election after election.
It is a mindset problem which couples well with a
TDS problem. A story from Fox News that the psychologist
is saying he's seeing an overwhelming amount of clients suffering
from TDS literally, which is a crazy thing to actually

(25:52):
watch and see, as well as Michelle Obama and her
fight against straight hair. All that more coming up after
the break. TPT ATBUSA is the email address. Also, go

(26:21):
Welcome back to Turning Point Tonight. We're together. We are

our YouTube channel where generally Monday through Thursday we have
an extra segment that you don't get to see here
on Real America's Voice. You can only find on our

(26:41):
Instagram X. I've got it like in my head, in
my head, I've got the show themed down Turning Point Tonight,
charting the course of America's CULTURALI comeback. I need to
get all the social media things down in the same way.
I still trying to name them off the top of
my head, as I eased before this, This I think

(27:02):
is the main reason why libs are going to continue
to lose across the board. To the extent that they
do lose, I obviously hope that they continue to lose,
but if that is the case, it will be specifically
from clips like this which exemplify an actual mindset that
most Libs have. Glenn Cup Clip Cup tot seven. This

(27:23):
is from a Michigan board meeting in which a guy
says the thing that, I guess maybe you're not supposed
to stay out loud, but at the same time, this
is how they actually think, and this will be the
downfall of their electoral ability in this country. Place tot seven.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Not so, I'm sorry. Parents do not know best. Scientists
know the best. Experts know the best. So I strongly
suppose support the standards and to enable and empower all
students to feel safe educated, knowing who they are and
knowing that it's okay to be who they are.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Okay, So at the state level in Michigan there is
a actual real life person saying non, No, parents don't
know what's best for their kids. The scientists know best
for their kids. Did anyone remember in twenty twenty there
was like this big like I don't know, cultural contagion
that happened. I forget what was called oh COVID, where

(28:26):
you know, the scientists were the ones that knew best,
and not the parents, and specifically not the parents of
kids in the public school education system. Bill Maher has
even said that is going to lose people election after
election after election if Libs continue to believe that they
know better than the parents of the kids themselves. On

(28:48):
one hand, I hope they keep saying stuff like this
because that will make it easier for us to win elections.
On the other hand, I really really hope we're not
seeing the beginning of a culture that genuinely thinks that
the government or quote unquote the scientists know better than parents.
I think a lot of us who have the ability
to pull our kids out of the government school system

(29:10):
will do so. But I also recognize that not everybody
has that ability, and so we need to continue fighting
against the people that actually believe that they know better
than you for your kids. That is insane. Now, I
would be willing to bet there's a significant amount of
overlap between the people that think that and the people
that are seeing this doctor. There was a psychologist on

(29:33):
Fox News with Harris Faulkner that was saying some things
that maybe are a little bit shocking, but at the
same time like nah, that kind of tracks talking about
Trump derangement syndrome. Watch this cut three where a guy
is literally saying there he is being overwhelmed by people
who are losing sleep, not being able to enjoy vacations

(29:58):
because of how much they hate Trump for some reason.
Watch this and what do you see?

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Because you say, you told me off.

Speaker 6 (30:05):
Camera, three quarters of your patient load right now has
what you're calling this, this TDS.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
Well, three quarters of my patients will present with a
lot of these symptoms, and within probably five minutes of
seeing me, their hatred for Trump comes up. So if
you're that hyper focused on Trump, that's a real issue
and it's worth being treated.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
So this guy is saying that three quarters of his
patients exhibit signs and this is like a full blown
thing now exhibit signs of Trump derangement syndrome. Oh my gosh,
seventy five percent of people that he sees within five minutes.
According to him, then starts saying, yeah, and you know

(30:50):
the reason I have depression or anxiety or I'm unable
to participate in everyday task is well, I hate the president. Okay,
not sure what you do with those people other than
genuinely get them help. I genuinely am concerned for Americans
who can't function in everyday life because they hate the president.
So much that feels like somebody I should genuinely have

(31:14):
sympathy for. I will pray for them. And at the
same time, it is worth all of us knowing that
those types of people exist at a level that I'm
pretty sure a lot of us would be very uncomfortable with.
And because that level is so high, that is where
you get clips like this. This has also been floating
around the internet. This is at a rally in North
Carolina where someone who probably would would would fit in

(31:38):
that seventy five percent of patients that this guy sees
says something about as horrible as horrible gets. You want
to talk about toning down the political rhetorics. This lady
apparently did not get the memo. This is cut to Glenn.
If you can pull that up. This is this is unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
We have a little man sitting in sixty hundred Pennsylvania
Avenue who really believes that Hitler was the greatest man
ever on earth, whose whole.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Vision is to be just like Hitler.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
And trying to create a nineteen forties Germany right hand
to United States. And like then, many people say, well,
it's them, it's not me.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Now, I don't necessarily even think that it is worth
presenting an argument for because it is so outlandish, so ridiculous,
and so false that it's not even worth responding to.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Really.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Again, it's mostly just so that all of you folks
know and that we all know that people out there exist,
and by the way, know that I had to keep
myself from laughing pease. Producer Glenn was well mimicking a
well the difficulty that that lady might have keeping her
head straight with whatever she's got on there. So I

(32:56):
was not laughing at that, even though I wanted to wow,
people like that exist saying things that are so patently
untrue and false that it should concern a lot of us.
But such is the modern world that we currently exist in.
We have to fight it with every ounce in our

(33:17):
body and soul because people like that are very, very dangerous.
And I say that rhetorically speaking, but also electorally speaking
as well. If you believe that, God help you. Coming
up here, we've got Michelle Obama's clip that straight hair
is just a vestige of white supremacy. Again, she didn't
say that specifically, but she might as well have as well.

(33:40):
As next, we're gonna play a clip from the Internet
where all of these clips are from of a lady
bragging about something that you won't believe that somebody actually
thought was a good idea to post to the Internet.
She's talking about voting in the New York's City mayoral

(34:00):
election for run Mam Danny, and the clip is unbelievable.
TPT at TPUSA dot com is the email address. We
love seeing each and every one of your emails. We
honestly do read a bunch of them, and I've been
better at replying to them, So TBT at TPCA dot com.
You'd like to send your thoughts, comments, concerns, worries even

(34:21):
I guess worries is the same thing as concerns, but
you know, just send them to TPT ATPs dot com.
Also go to all of our social media platforms, Turning
Point Tonight on YouTube specifically, which is growing by leaps
and bounds. You don't want to be the only person
who doesn't subscribe to the YouTube channel. You're gonna catch
yourself at a at a social gathering, people are gonna
be talking about, Hey, did you see that Internet exclusive

(34:42):
clip on the Turning Point Tonight YouTube channel, And people
be like, no, I don't subscribe and they'll all look
at you with disdain and disgust and go, why what
are you doing with your life? So don't be that
person at the next dinner party. Go subscribe to our
Turning Points Tonight YouTube channel. Coming up next, voting and
the main problem with it after the break, don't go

(35:04):
away and welcome back to Turning Point Tonight. We're together.
We are charting the course of America's cultural comeback. TPT
at TPSA dot com is the email address. I would

(35:25):
love to get your thoughts on what's coming up next again.
TPT at TPUSA dot com the email address. Also, go
subscribe to our YouTube channel, our Rumble channel, our x account,
our Facebook channel, all of the social media accounts. If
you miss a segment of any part of the show,
you will be able to find it there. Also, we
are on the podcast platforms if you like to listen

(35:47):
while you're mowing the lawn, doing dishes, tidying up around
the house, whatever it is. We are on the podcast channels.
We will be kind of revamping that in case you
already listen somewhere. I know it's a little bit convoluted
the way we do things, but we're gonna kind of
we're trying to consolidate all of the things so you
can find everything you want on one place. Turning point tonight.
All things turning points tonight related now, the election of

(36:12):
Zohron Mamdani, as AOC calls him, I wish I should
have pulled that clip her saying, we are so excited
for Sohran. I just say his name like everyone says
his name as a guy with a weird name. I
give you permission to say his name. I don't know
as normal Americans are saying it. But in the election

(36:32):
of Zoran Mamdani, there was a lot of internet buzz
in how he got elected. Who was excited for him
to get elected. I think it was like eighty percent
of women voted for him in New York City, which,
by the way, uh, there's some really interesting statistics. And
I'm thinking about this off the top of my head,
so I don't have it specifically in front of me,

(36:54):
but fascinatingly, mam Donni did not win the middle and
lower class. Specifically, the middle class. The middle class, interestingly enough,
voted for Cuomo, who admittedly was not a good candidate
to begin with. Also, but the majority of people that
quote unquote, Mom Donnie says he is fighting for making
rent lower in government grocery stores and all the things

(37:15):
that he says that he's helping. Those people didn't actually
vote for him. Who voted for him was the upper
end elites of New York City who think that socialism
is just such a great idea and honestly don't recognize
the privilege that they have because that's the type of
person it takes to vote for a socialist. You know

(37:35):
who else votes for socialists, People flying in from different countries.
I saw this and I thought, oh my gosh, there's
no way that this person posted this seriously. But they did.
Watch this Instagram video of a lady describing her mom's
journey from a foreign country even though she doesn't like
the cold, to vote in the New York City mayoral election.

(38:00):
This will blow your mind. Watch this cut five.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
My mom flew from Bangladesh during this cold fall season
just so she could vote first Uran. She hates the
cult because she has met arthritis, but she didn't care
because she was so excited to vote and today, even
though the community is hard and inaccessible for her, she
traveled all the way from Queens to Brooklyn just so
she could vote. So Uran became a source of pride

(38:26):
and joy for the NMCY Bengali community. I've never seen
people from three different generations be so happy to vote.
So Haran's campaign represents something larger. He represents the silenced
voices of Brown New Yorkers who never felt included in
practicing their rights as a citizen. They never saw themselves
or participated in political spaces because they never thought they'd
be able to see themselves being represented like this.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Are you kidding me? I think to do that covertly
right to have your mom come in from a different country. Remember,
whole thing is set up. My mom traveled here from
Bangladesh and braved the cold of New York just so
she could vote for Zulran. Mom, Dannie, I I can,
I guess in theory see somebody doing that like on

(39:15):
the down low, But at this point we are at
a cultural inflection where that is like something that somebody
brags about. That person put the time, effort and editing
ability into cutting an entire clip, chronlizing telling the story,

(39:36):
losing my words a little bit, and so freaking mad
at this, telling the story of her mother who flew
in from a foreign country. Now I'm not necessarily even
questioning this lady's ability to vote. Maybe she's a I
don't know, Maybe she's a citizen, Maybe she's naturalized somewhere.
Maybe she's a freaking illegal that she's got an ID
and lives in a different country and is here on
a visa, I don't know. But regardless of that, somebody

(39:59):
who lives clearly or spends most time in Bangladesh came
to New York City and brave the cold in order
to vote for somebody is not only supposedly acceptable, but
you're willing to brag about that on the internet. If
that doesn't say something about the degradation of our culture
in our society, I don't know what does. I would

(40:22):
like to live in a world where I don't even
necessarily want to say I'm accepting that because I'm not
actecting that. That's ridiculous on all fronts. But even if
it is happening, you don't talk about it. You don't
like brag about it on the internet. The fact that
we're at a point where people are willing to say
this is a fantastic thing, and we're definitely doing it

(40:44):
out loud in the public square on the Internet is unbelievable.
I don't care if this lady is like born and
raised in the United States and happens to live in Bangladesh.
The fact that you're willing to say that out loud
and post on the Internet as if it's this glorious
thing should be concerning and troublesome to freaking everybody. That

(41:08):
is an insane way to run a society. It is
not how we should do things in the United States
of America. Tbt ATBSA dot com is your is your
email address? Let us know what you think about that video.
I would imagine the internet or sorry, the inbox is
going to be flooded with a bunch of people who
are also gathering their jaws off the ground because they've

(41:28):
watched that in just befuddlement. TBTTBSA dot com. If you
had that same reaction, also go subscribe to our YouTube channel,
where you can see all of these clips that here
appear here in real America's voice, as well as an
extra segment each and every day that you can't get
anywhere else other than social media. Our Turning Point Tonight
YouTube channel. Also our Facebook page or my Facebook page.

(41:50):
Also X. I keep saying I'm not gonna I'm not
all of the social media. Just assume that my lack
of ability to rattle off all the social media accounts
just encompasses all of them. All the social media accounts
Rumble included Turning Point Tonight. You'll be able to find
pretty much anything that we are doing. Coming up next.
Michelle Obama is on like some tour. I think she's
a new book out, which is why she's been making

(42:12):
so many clips. We've played clips of Michelle Obama, I
think pretty much every day this week. Today is no different.
She is now complaining about the idea of having straight hair,
and that's a white thing, I guess, and even I mean,
this shouldn't come as a surprise, but the irony is
I'm not gonna tell you. I I won't spoil it
for you. We will be right back after the break

(42:32):
with that mind boggling clip. Don't go away, We'll be
right back after this. Welcome back to Turning Point Tonight.
We're together. We are charting the course of America's cultural comeback.

(42:54):
TPT at tposa dot com is the email address if
you'd like to send us your thoughts, comments, concernst even
or I guess I mean, in theory, you could tell
us what your weekend plans are. Just TBT ATPUSA dot com.
We've been responding to more than we have in the past.
It's a work in progress, honest to god. It kind
of all started our response back to the email address

(43:16):
when it kind of came to light that Charlie would
do the same thing, and so, hey, man, if he
could do that and juggle all of the things that
he was already doing, the least we can do is
respond to as many of them as we possibly can.
That's not to say all of them. Some of you
guys send some very long emails, but if you keep
it short, keep it to the point, really appreciate those emails.
TPTATPUS dot com. You can also go subscribe to our

(43:37):
YouTube channel, specifically Turning Point Tonight on YouTube, where you
get an exclusive internet only, social media only segment every
single day except today called One Last Point, where I
think we've given you a taste of what one Last
Point is here in real America's voice for traveling or
doing anything. Sometimes we'll fill the show with those one

(43:59):
Last Point segment I guess you can sneak around that way,
but you don't want to do that. You want to
specifically subscribe to Turning Point Tonight YouTube channel, as well
as Rumble, Facebook, all of the other social media platforms.
Also this week, sorry, next week, the last leg, or
at least the last scheduled leg of the Megan Kelly
Tour rolls on. We are in Bakersfield on Thursday, next

(44:21):
week at the Honda Center in Anaheim and Friday, and
then in the Phoenix area I believe Glendale specifically on Saturday.
If you happen to be in any of those areas
and would like to go check out the Megan Kelly Tour,
would love to see you there. And if you see
me wandering around, make sure you come and say hi.
I love seeing all of you out in public, in
the real world where all of us should be focused on,

(44:44):
because the Internet world is its own thing. So anyways,
I've chattered a little bit long. Let me play you
this clip that I've been teasing the entire show, Michelle
and Obama Michellen Michelle Obama and the Plight against Straight Hair,
which ironically she also has in this clip. Watch this
worry about it.

Speaker 7 (45:04):
Let me explain something to white people. Our hair comes
out of our head naturally in a curly pattern. So
when we're straightening it to follow your beauty standards, we
are trapped by the straightness. That's why so many of
us can't swim and we run away from the water.

(45:24):
People won't go to the gym because we're trying to
keep our hair straight.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
For y'all.

Speaker 7 (45:31):
It is exhausting, and it's so expensive, and it takes
up so much time.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
Braids are for y'all.

Speaker 7 (45:40):
So we can work harder and focus on the work.
So why do we need an act, an act of
law to tell white folks to get out our hair.
Don't don't tell me how to wear my hair, don't
wonder about it, don't touch it, just don't.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
It.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
I think she was talking about Joe Biden, who is
the one touching people's hair randomly.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
I don't know if you notice the irony there, But
on this whole minute long screed about straight hair and
the only way to be accepted in quote unquote white
culture is you have to have straight hair. And us
black women, our hair doesn't come out that way, and
it's curly and wavy and all the things, and also
she had straight hair. What do we do it here, guys,

(46:31):
I honest to god, I don't want to get too
worked up over this, even though I have the potential
to do so. If you're going to make that big
lung of a screen, don't do that thing. That's like
me doing a whole screen of Like. Look, I hate
the fact that people have to wear suit jackets. It's
just it's oppressive, it's disturbing. It's the reason I can't swim, which,

(46:55):
by the way, she did actually say not to go
on a tangent on a tangent, but yeah, black people
need to have straight hair to fit into white society.
I guess which is the reason we can't swim. She
said it, I didn't right. Well the way we stay
away from oter and look, I understand that she was joking,
but also read the room, recognize the irony in what

(47:17):
it is that you're saying. If you're going to like
talk about why straight hair is expensive, it's a terrible upkeep.
I can't swim because of it. Don't have straight hair.
When you do that, it just just seems like mynd
numbingly stupid. But again, we're talking about Michelle Obama. So
I guess that just kind of par for the course,

(47:37):
numbingly stupid. Oh my gosh, I can't, I can't. I can't,
which is why I won't. This is why that's the
last thing we're gonna talk about here on this show.
You know what, have a great weekend. Try to unplug
from the Internet just a little bit. I know there's
a lot going on in the world, and I understand
that politics is very important, but at the same time,

(47:58):
I don't know, spend time with your family. Go out
enjoy if you're in town, California, the very rainy weather,
but maybe go enjoy fall colors. And that also might
be my southern Californian talking. I'm not sure fall colors
are still around, but if you live I guess south
of Oklahoma, maybe fall colors are still there. Bottom line
here is you don't need to stay tuned in every

(48:19):
single second of every single day. Take the weekend, go
enjoy life. Email us TBT ATBOSA dot com. What did
you do fun this weekend that didn't have anything to
do with politics. Hopefully you make it to church on
Sunday and do some fun things with your family. I
will remind all of you good folks that I will
be on the Megan Kelly Live Tour, which is still
unbelievable to me, and I don't want to neglect the

(48:41):
caveat that. The only reason that Megan was gracious enough
to extend the invitation to me because Charlie was set
to do one of the events, actually specifically the event
we're doing Thursday in Bakersfield, and so notwithstanding, it is
a great honor. But at the same time, you know,
I'd rather have Charlie here and me not be on
that tour, but in the position that we are in,

(49:04):
I will be Megan Kelly and Bakersfield on Thursday, Anaheim,
California on Friday, and Glendale, Arizona on Saturday. Tickets are
still available for any of those events as well as
you if you follow me on social media, there could
be I'm not promising that there could be a chance
that we're giving away free tickets, but only if you
follow on either Instagram or Facebook, because that's how we

(49:25):
mostly communicate with the audience. So if you happen to
be at any of those events, you likely will see
me wandering around because I'm not not the type of
guy that like sits backstage and just waits. Usually like
out and about chatting to people, saying hi, giving high fives,
taking pictures, doing all that sort of stuff. So if
you happen to see me, don't be afraid to come
up say hello. I'd love to see you again. Bakersfield Thursday,
Anaheim Friday, Glendale, Arizona Saturday. That is going to do

(49:47):
it for us here at turning Point tonight this week.
Have a great weekend. We will see same time, same
place on Monday. God bless America.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
