How is the world going to survive? Virgo season is over?
I don't know. And it went by too fast, It
went blink of an eye. It came here fast.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Now we got to deal with y'all libras. The liba's
a wild I'm not a libra, but no you're not.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Oh is he that explains it? Does it? I don't
really know, Like he's what he's is he October? Yeah?
Well the traits are supposed to be balanced, right, I
find them to be all over the place. Okay, yeah,
call is a libra. He is Okay, what's his birthday? September?

(01:33):
He's September thirtieth. He's a September he's so that be tomorrow.
He's all over the place. Okay. Yeah, well, happy birthday, cow,
Happy birthday. Go in the building. Okay. Anyway, shady moment,
Can I tell you mine? Please? Okay. So I was

(01:57):
like here minding my business and my vehicle that I love.
I'm going to Whole Foods trying to get you know,
by the way, I've been like cooking a lot of
fish these days. You said that before, Yeah, okay, so
now you picked it back up. Yes, I'm enjoying it.
What fish are you cooking? So I like the center
cut of the salmon. Oh, because there's different cuts. Center cut.

(02:19):
It's a little bit more expensive, but it's worth it.
It's juicier. Yeah, okay, And.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Then I'll do like a white fish, like a I
even like the catfish.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
So catfish because it cooks up really quick. Halibit.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
They haven't been having Branzino is like my favorite, but
they haven't had that in the store lately in my.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Whole Foods at Whole Foods. Okay, okay, and you and
you said you just like put it in the oven
or something.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Put in the oven like four twenty five. Let that
thing cook up. Yeah, put a little salt and peppa
and I.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Put always put Old Bay online just to give it
like a little extra action. Any lemon, I don't do lemon.
Don't do lemon? Okay, Yeah, I love lemon. Yeah you do.
Now do you do capers on your bronze? I need
to get some capers? So good. I love capers.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I'm gonna get some capers. Capers in a little bit
of limit. I'm not mad at the limit, not mad
the limit.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Okay. So anyway, I left.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
There and I it started flashing in my car that
one of my wheels was the air.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I need to check the air. And it was like emergency.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Emergency, right, So I go next door and there's this
little gas station and they have the air thing.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
So I gotta zoom up to it. And by the
time I got there my air My tight is flat.
Oh no, it was a pancake. So I tried to
not try. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I tried to like pump it back up with the
air and it was one of those machine things, so
it wasn't working.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So I was like, old, say, I'm doing something wrong.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
So I go inside to get the little attendant and
I was like, hey, can you help me whatever?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
I was a damsel in distress. And he comes outside
and he sees it and he tries to do it
and put some air in it, and then he was
like oh. He was like Phil, right here, you have
a hole in your tire. So as soon as he
saw that hole, he like dropped the the like little
what do you call it, the rubber thing the apparatus

(04:12):
to like try to put air in your tire. He
like dropped it and was like yep, tried to help
and walks away. I was so damn confused, Like, yeah,
he tried to help. He's like, this is beyond my
pa leaves me.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
He does not, And I was still in damsel of
distress mode.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I was still like, were you just like at a
gas station? Yes, but they serviced cars there. Well, no,
he was the guy selling the lottery tickets on the side.
I was so pissed.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I was like, what, yeah, left me so fast, and
so yeah, I had to call tael truck and my
car is back in action again. But like that's dude,
don't help if you really don't want to help. But
it was beyond him, but like above him, but you
just drop everything.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Roll. That was so mean. It's terrible. Did you say
anything to me? Like, well, damn, so I know.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Well, so I called the tow truck people, which, by
the way, I didn't know that Mercedes has like the
button that you can push and they send the roadside
of service.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
I didn't know that, okay, because I've never had done
this before. So I called a tow truck company and yeah,
triple A I do not okay, I had triple A okay,
but I don't. I don't have a triple A number, okay, okay.
So I went back inside and I told the lottery
selling man that a toad truck was getting ready to

(05:45):
come because I wasn't gonna wait for it because it
was gonna take like forty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
So I like left my car there. Oh wow, Yeah,
that was that bad. I remember most of the time
they say that, like somebody needs to be there. Well,
I asked the guy. I was like, do I need
to be here? And he said no. Oh, I said,
do I need to leave the He said no. Okay.
I was like, oh, I'm out player. So I left
the key at the dealership and went on home. All right.

(06:09):
So that's my story. And that was very shady. That
was shady. Yes, that was very rude. What is your
shady moment? Rude? Okay. So the other day I was
going through a walk in my neighborhood and like, out
of the blue, I see this huge sign next to
somebody's house. So picture like you're looking at the house,

(06:32):
and they have a fence that kind of like you know,
goes around both sides of their house, and on the fence,
like the flat side of the fence that faces the
street is a huge sign. All right. So the right
side of the house, on this fence, huge sign. It's
like probably four feet wide by four feet tall at
least painted blue, big white black letters and red letters,

(06:55):
and the sign and this shady moment was not done
to me. It's just this sign is shady. That ship
the sign says my neighbor is a Karen No way? Yeah,
where is this near here? It's around like that way?

(07:17):
No way, My god, I died laughing. I'm like, I
have to know what.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
It was like an arrow that points to like because
it's isn't two neighbors?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Is the name? I mean, it's yes, but it's obvious
what neighbor they are referring to. It's the neighbor to
the right. You are lying, you guess, y'all? Like look
at this sign. I'm showing it.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Okay, First of all, they had some time on their hand,
so I just showed it to the people on YouTube
that is a soccer mom.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
So no, well okay, So I was like, oh my god,
I need to know who to speak. Did you knock
on the door? I didn't knock on the door, but
every time I will walk past, I'm like looking to
see there outside and not outside. So the so the
other day I was driving past, yeah, and they were
in their garage and I go scared and they're like yes,

(08:08):
They're like what is going on? You know? My car
is like blacked out, like black whet tenant windows everything.
So I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
I need to know what happened with the neighbor, like
what is up with the side. Yes, and they're all
like they're like, are you Robin. I'm like, forget about Robin,
forget about Robin. Who cares? What did they know you

(08:33):
were their neighbor or that they they didn't know? So
there was another lady, it was like another neighbor, neighbor
that was talking to them, and she knew but they
didn't know. Okay, yeah, so anyway, they're really gonna give
you the tea, right right. So I'm like what so
and these people are so they said they've been they
both have been living in this neighborhood for like twenty

(08:55):
plus years, like close to thirty years, so they've been
living next to each other. And he's like, he's it's
like my neighbor, she's such a bitch. She's always calling
the cops. She's always calling the cops just for like
noise complaints. So they have a swimming pool, they have
a fire pit, they have grandchildren. So she's like, he's like,
we'll be at our fire pit and they'll call the
fire department and the fire apart. Fire department comes and

(09:17):
we're like nothing to see here, or they're like, you know,
will my grandson was outside playing with the ball and
the ball went in her yard. She's like, get your
ball off my yard. And he's like another time, there
was like some branches hanging down from a tree. He
has this like really big pickup truck. The branches were
like touching my tree and I get some clippers out

(09:39):
to clip the branches, and she comes walking, you can't
cut the tree, And well, if it's all his property,
he can cut the tree. I did, Well, Seattle, what's
that on his property? I feel like it's like kind
of on both you know what I mean, like hanging
over but still like he's just like she's just always
such a bitch. She's just always complaining. So enough, so

(10:01):
who made the sign? He had it made? He had
it made. He like he's like I've had to sign
for like a year and I finally put it outside.
I'm like, what dang uge? And so like where's his wife?
She was outside too, she was like yeah, and these okay,

(10:22):
So these people we describe them like I tat it up, okay,
like tats all up and down the arms and legs
and like just like drives a big pickup truck, like
so just just you could just picture kind of like, yeah,
there aren't the people that I would have suspected of
calling other people, Karen, you know what I mean, Like,

(10:43):
I don't know. It was just it was so funny.
I was dying. I was, Oh, I think that's everything.
Everything everything, So we'll we'll post a picture on Instagram
so y'all can see it. Yes, but I I was,
I was like, this is the best thing I've ever seen.
So I have a question for people, like if you
all have experienced any neighbor drama, Like if you have, like,

(11:04):
send it in to us, share email us at what's
up at reasonablyshady dot com. Yeah, but like I've never
had neighbor drama.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Well, I had when I first moved into my house
because I had to do a whole lot of construction
with it. Now, mind you, you know were how my
house sits. You can't even see the house from the road,
but the people who are on across the street, which
is an older, older lady, would always like walk down
and complain and like, well, I have no idea with
you because it was like a bunch of trucks. But

(11:32):
outside of that, it's like nobody's bothering you. Nope, you
can't even see my house. You can't hear the construction,
like cut it out. So I can't go my shady kids, Well, mom,
she's not gonna be around long.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
So because she's very old.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
She's like, we gonna pay attention because's not gonna be around.
Law I'm like my kid, Yeah, my kid's are shady.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Oh that's funny. Yes, yes, that's hilarious. Yeah, I'm trying
to think if we ever had neighbor drama like anywhere,
I don't think so, yeah that is everything, Like, no,
that's everything everything, So yes, right right to us with
your neighbor drama. Yes, yes, yes, okay, so we have letters.
Well before we get into that, yeah, I have questions. Yeah.

(12:16):
So the other day I was in the public restroom
and I am I always go into the handicap stall
in the public restroom, and I would like I just
stopped to ask myself. I'm like, am I wrong for
going into the handicap stall because you know, I know,
like we we can't park in the handicap parking So
is this like the equivalent? Am I wrong for doing that? Well?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Okay, this is this because I always go on the
handicap as well, Okay, the reason being it's bigger, yes,
and typically they have their it's they have an own
their own sink and mirror, right, yes, So.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Well I don't go for that. I just go because
it's bigger and it's probably a little bit cleaner because
it's not as used. Yeah. Used, But I'm like myself
and and I apologize, you know, to anyone who is
handicapped and maybe finds offense to to people non handicapped
people using that stall. But I'm like, do I need

(13:12):
to stop doing that? Or is it okay? Or is
it a thing? It's like, okay, if I see a
handicapped person in the restroom there, of course I'm not
going to like go in the handicap stall. I'll let
them use it. But if there are no handicapped people
in the public restroom, isn't okay for me to use it? Well?
I feel like if like, just like you said, it's
few and far between when it's being used by a
handicapped person, right, so why should it go unused? You

(13:37):
should be able to use it. But that's the same
thing with the parking spot. You get you get a ticket.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Right, But then there's also the you know how they
have parking spaces for pregnant mothers.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah, how do you know that my big belly is
not a baby? Right? Right? So I don't know. I
think you just you have to use your judgment, But
so do your park in the pregnant mothers? What? What
do you need?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
But what the what are the possibilities that at that
moment that I'm there, a pregnant woman is in the
parking lot and needs that space slim to none so
and it's close to the door.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I mean, I'm all right with the parking spot thing.
It's like, okay, I'm I'm I'm going to be.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I say, use judgment, use your best judgment for the bathroom.
If there's nobody in the bathroom that requires it, yes.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Use it. I just wonder, I'm like, am I an asshole? Well?
I mean you can be an asshole for different reasons, Well,
for you, like for that, for using for using the
public the handicapped restroom, and for people who like don't
who kind of follow the rules and don't use the
handicapped restroom? Like are you looking at me? Like I
can't believe she just used the handicapped restroom. Well, you're

(14:45):
an asso hand but not for that reason. I am
not an a. No, you're not, Like, you're totally not
an ass. I am. Okay, other thing? Have you? Did
you ever see the post on Instagram about how to
like take the perfect model picture? Yes? Did you see it?

(15:09):
Like decide out it's like with your face, so they say, too,
now do it with me. Smile big, now lift your
raise your eyebrows. Now stop smiling, and that's your model post.
And I can't even do it okay smiling, hey, uh no,

(15:30):
stund smiling. Oh, I can see it, and that's I
feel like I just looked shocked. Hold let me see.
So yeah, who is this Tyra Banks? Per Tyra Banks?
It wasn't Tyra Banks. It was something and like when
she did it, it was I wish I'd saved it,
but I just like remembered in my head when she
did it, like she looked good good. I think it's

(15:53):
probably based on your face. I did take one good
selfie like that. Like I took a few, and like
the first one, I like I was like looking just
like shocked, but then I actually got like a really
good one. Okay, yeah, so I feel like you have
to like practice it a little bit. So you know,
that's the like little tip for y'all. Small big small,
big free syebrows and stops why and then there's a picture. Okay,

(16:18):
I like it. So I like it. I'm not mad
at it. Yes, so take those Yes, so you're welcome. Yes, okay,
so we got some letsh Okay, let's see what we
got here. This is from Oh, this is about the
Hunting Wives. Oh, yes, yes, okay, very important. Hunting Wives
is on Netflix and Robin and I give it a
five stars, four stars, three and a half. It's intriguing.

(16:41):
I give it a four stars. I think I had
it's it's it was juicy, but then it had sometimes
it was slow. Yeah, sometimes it was like ridiculous, you
know what I mean? But it kept you a good watch. Yeah, okay,
So this is from Snetta Houston.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Hey, ladies, just listen to today's episode eight slash elevenl
Oh the date eight eleven agreed with everything that you
said about The Hunting Wives. Definitely seem like a TP production, Oh,
Italian prairier production. Then later you talked about scandal. Did
either of you make the connection that the preacher's wife

(17:17):
is Katie Lowe, the actress from Scandal.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yes, I did you know? Do you remember oh yeah,
the brown hair one, yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah, she
was on Scandal. She was like one of Quinn. It
was quinnyes Quinn. Quinn was her name, Yes, Olivia, and
that was a totally different role for her. So that's
interesting to see totally. So Olivia's PI assistant and her
wig was definitely giving Melly Milly grant from Scandal. I

(17:42):
was waiting. Yeah, those wigs were terrible. Yes, yeah, so
I've talked about I'm watching Grey's Anatomy, so because Gray's
was I guess it could have started what fifteen years ago? Yeah,
a long time ago. Those actors, she's Shanda. I think
she's like loyal her people. She's put like they a
lot of them were in Scandal, uh huh and like

(18:04):
I've seen them in other things that she's done. Okay, yeah,
so it's nice, yeah, very nice. Yeah. Yeah, No, I
enjoyed seeing Quinn on Hunting Wives, and it was good
to see her in a different, different element. All right,
what's this is from Alan? He says, what's good, ladies,
my name is good, was ow I'm from Harlem, New York. Yes,
you said way back. Oh, I'm sorry her the subject.

(18:27):
I gotta read the subject first. The subject is Robin M. F.
Dixon and Giselle. Get to the bag Bryant.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Y'all whack, y'all Why are you f Robin? Yes, I
mean I can appreciate get to the bag Zell, but
y'all whack.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
So he said, what's good, ladies. My name is Alan
from Harlem, New York. You said way back when, a
few seasons ago, to get your attention to come for you.
Oh okay, yes, all jokes aside. I love you, ladies
for real. Since day one, I've been up to date
on every season of Potomac and reasonably shady in real time,
to the point I'm on repeat mode. It's insane. Thank you?

(19:05):
What is he repeating the episodes? He's okay and Potomac
and recently thank you Alan, thank you podcast at work, Potomac,
at home in the world. This guy's from New York, Harlem, Harlem.
I'll say, book it down, Harlem, but that's not right.
That's book it down Bronx. Yeah, what's Harlem? Harlem? Shake

(19:28):
uptown up? Uptown Harlem. Okay, I made that up. Yeah,
I don't know. Like I said before, I'm a big
fan of you. But my question is for Robin. I
know you peeped a few selects love you and you're
their favorite. But besides Lauren London and Nicki Minaj, has
any other celebts expressed their love for you? Wait? You're

(19:48):
Lauren London's favorite? Yes? She said, they don't watch Rappin's line.
What she didn't say, just own no? And the people
were mad? Why were they mad?

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Mad?

Speaker 1 (19:58):
It was like a time when I was like in drama?
Am I not in druma? But it was like you know,
drama and they were so mad. They were like attacking her.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Yeah, but I can I can see that because she's
very like no, not like no, not non confrontational.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
She's yeah, she's like she's like straight to the point. Yes, chill,
but chill. I can see her loving you. Yeah, So,
she said, has any others out said? Has any other
celebs expressed their love for you? And if so, who
was it? Okay, okay, so Christina Applegate, Oh yes, I
forgot that, yeah, tweeted when she heard that I was fired,

(20:35):
she was like up in arms. She was like what, No,
she was like, what are you doing? And you got
me something like yeah, she was really upset. Yeah, somebody
else told me and I didn't catch this, and so
I don't know if it's true or not. But they
said Leah Reminy, Leah M's actress. She was she's like
j Loo's best friend. Yes, I don't, I don't. I

(20:58):
don't know if it's true. But they said watch Weapons
Live or somewhere that. She also said that, Okay, I
know that a few people have like bought my hats. Yes,
so Aana Presley, who is a she's a politician. I
can't remember if she a senator or congress probably congresswoman. Okay,
Aana Presley she bought I know she bought at least

(21:20):
one hat. I saw her wearing a hat. The actor
from I gotta look up his name from Modern Family,
From Modern Family, I remember that, yes, damn, and he
bought hats. Yeah, hold on, let me look at his names. Yes,
your hat business, which is still in business, as you
said on your couch and make your money, Yes it is, okay,

(21:43):
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Yes, he bought a hat for like
his housekeeper. Oh I love that. Yeah. When I saw
I remember this was like you know when my hat
business was like first scene on Potomac and I saw
the name come through and I was like, I can't
be I'm like what Yeah, So I like I responded
to the and I was like, oh my god, like,
thank you so much for a purchase that I had, Like,

(22:04):
I'm so like honored and humble to see your name.
And he's like and he told me it was for
it was a Christmas gift for his his housekeeper. I
love that. And then I've seen se Cupp, who's she's
like a political She's like frequently on CNN, she talks
politics on CNN. I saw her wearing a reasonably shady sweatshirt. Yay,

(22:27):
why I think I did? Okay, So those are the
only ones that I can think of. Yeah that's all
I got. But thanks. Okay, was this recently for the CNN?
How could you be on CNN? No? No, she wasn't
wearing it on CNN. Oh she's running at a home. Yeah, okay,
I love that. I don't know this was this was

(22:47):
a couple of years ago, Like I saw her, like
I can't remember where she might have like tagged us
in it or or something, but that she had a
reasonably shady sweatshirt on. Okay, Yeah, we got to get
Patar to post that. Yeah, we gotta find it. Yeah,
find it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Okay, so love that. Yes, Robins loved. There's been no
one that has professed their love for me. And yeah,
celebrities get there, get it together.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Yes, there are you know it. They don't have to
profess their love.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Celebrities just know that everybody loves Okay, not really Okay,
so this says Darryl L.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Crawford Parker. Hey, oh wait, back up, I don't think
does it. Do you say don't say my name? Oh no,
maybe not? Okkay? Yeah, I was like, we always we
always need to read if they say don't say my name. Okay,
I don't see it. Hey, Green Eyed Queens.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
I've been rocking with both of y'all since season one
of Our Hop Day one fan here Robin and I Robin.
I seriously miss seeing you on the show. Our hop
is just not the same without you. I wanted to
chime in on the convo about D nine paraphernalia picks
in episode one ninety three. I remember that as a

(23:59):
proud there was some people wearing their stuff and looked crazy.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Yes, and the fraternities and sororities with vulgar stuff on there.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Yes, yes, as a proud member of five Beta Sigma
Fraternity Incorporated, aka the greatest fraternity in the universe known
to man, blue fie till I die.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Okay, that was too much. That was just too much.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Okay, moving on, he said he had to share his
two cents. Number one, our five illustrious Pearls would definitely
not co sign some of those comments and graphics scene
on the Zeta paraphernalia.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
No, they would not. This is not what it means.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
To be a finer woman period. Respect for the letters
means respecting the legacy.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
That very well put.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Yes, yes, okay people either way, I'm supporting some Alpha
Kappa Alpha right now. Yes, very dignified. Yes, yes, okay.
Number two, as a member of the.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Lbgt Q plus community, let me just say, the double
standards are real. I once had a whole conference call
where I was told not to post pics of me
and my husband while rocking my letters. You already know
I posted anyway. I'm a grown ass man. Love is
love and I'm always gonna wrap both my truth and
my frat with pride. Anyway, Thank y'all for keeping it

(25:15):
real and entertaining every single week. Your podcast is my
Monday morning therapy during my commute. Don't stop doing what
you do much love Blue Fine, All right, so love
this Darryl. I'm sorry that you know you had to
have that conference call, but I will say, as I
reflect back to my time being in the sorority and

(25:38):
just being around all the other fraternities and sororities, like,
I think there's been a lot of progression when it
comes to the LGBT community because I feel like when
I was in school, it was a lot of the
frats wouldn't even bring in someone that they knew were

(26:00):
was gay, right, Like, it definitely was something that I've
seen all of the frats be a lot more accepting
with bringing in gay members, and so, you know, I
want to I want to say kudos to all the
frats and sororities for being more accepting, but you know,
we know it's not going to happen overnight where they're like,
you know, everyone is going to be fully accepting, fully

(26:23):
on board, and so unfortunately you have like you know,
maybe some people that aren't quite there yet, but I
think there's I think you can be like optimistic and
appreciate and just appreciate that there's progress. Yeah for sure.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
So when I when I was at Hampton, no one
was out right, not one person. No, there were guys
that we assumed, but like being out and just walking
in your truth was not happening. However, I go to
campuses now because my kids are there and and and
they're loud and proud, and it's great to see like,

(27:00):
thank God that, you know, especially.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
The guys are just like not feeling like they have
to hide. Yeah. Yeah, and that just goes not even
just for the like frats, but like just in general,
like the student body. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, as
a as part of the student body, people weren't out
in loud and proud. They couldn't be, but now I
feel like they could.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
It was I felt like black colleges have always been
a safe zone.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Yeah maybe black colleges, but at Maryland's oh right, yeah,
I I honestly I can't recall many outs, No, not
one person m M, so I can't. So so to
see the frats and the fraternity's and sororities not only
you know, have gay members, but be accepting and you know,

(27:45):
treat them as equals and you know whatever. Like I
think that's great. It's not that they went in under
the guys that they were straight and then came out
later Like, no, they went out and they went in
knowing that they're getting Oh yeah, they touched them, They
accepted them into their fraternity already knowing that this person
is gay and they don't have to like hide it

(28:07):
and wait until they're they've crossed over. Yeah. Yeah, so
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know, they tried to dictate
what you do in your pictures with your husband. I mean,
I think that's extreme. But I do think like, you know,
thankfully we've gone we've they've made progress. We made progress. Yeah, no, totally.
You know, A door is a part of the modeling

(28:30):
I guess group at Hampton. Oh yeah so she.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
So like last year I went to go see her
in the fashion show and the gays are there and
they are swirling, they are doing their thing.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
They look amazing.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
So like I would always tell her, like I wish
that that was happening while I was back then yeah,
back then, so nice, it's nice to see that.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
It's happening now it is. Yeah, yet we're progress.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Even even though the regime does that's what the regime
take us back, yes, but we're not going back.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
That's what I'm saying. We've had progress, but people are
trying to hinder that progress or reverse that progress. But
you know, we just got to keep fighting. Yeah, keep fighting, John.
This is from John Reid. I think this is a rap. Oh,
let's go by the way. We have to find you

(29:27):
in our rap, Robin.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
We keep saying that we're gonna change our intro, We're
gonna make it a rap.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
But we're falling short, I know. But now we're getting
all these submissions for raps. So now we have to
like really like pull it together together. Now we got
to really do the work like we sen submissions. Now
we gotta do the work. Yes we did, all right, Okay,
just selling Robin the Green Nye Bandits coming coming at you.
All right, all right, let me try okay, because this

(29:53):
is like all around on sentence. Just sell in Robin
the Green Knighte Bandits coming what just l and Robin
the Green Eye Bandits. I don't I can't get this rhythm.
I can't get boom bozell and Robin Green, I man's
coming at you on the ones and twes reasonably shady,
coming at you. Robin over here spitting straight. Fact. The

(30:15):
only thing she embellishes is the hat. Jazelle over here
throwing the shade. But don't get made. She's just trying
to don't get mad. She's just trying to get paid.
So sit back and so sit back and relax and
enjoy the show. Who's reasonably or shady? You'll never know?

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Actually, Okay, the way you were acted was horrible, but
that well, it.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Was kind of It's like he wrote it like a paragraph,
so like I don't know where to Okay, we got
to keep that one. Yeah, that one's pretty good. Yeah, okay,
I'm not mad at it at all. So what's his name? John?
John Reid? He's written before. Okay, John, We appreciated that
was very good. We just got to get some some tunes. Yeah,
we gotta pull them on together. I want we gotta

(30:58):
make a little compilation of everyone's you know, raps, or.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Maybe we can do like an intro on an outraw
we could yeah, yes, y yeah, yeah, so that means
we need music.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Yes, well we have a we have an editor for
that can't tailor get it's generic music, I guess. So yeah, yeah,
he could send us some beats. Yeah, send us some beats. Okay, Yeah,
we're getting there. And does I mean this is like
Black Effect? Don't we have correction? There may be some
other people on the Black Effects podcast network? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:34):
Maybe, yeah, like Charlemagne like to call one here for
oh Envy Envy put together some beats for us.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
So way he just like presses play? Right? Does he
like make music? Just press play? So I talked? Did
I talk last week? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I talked last week about my one hour with Nick
Cannon and I was not impregnated. So he he started
like talking very badly about Hampton University because he went
to Howard. Oh really okay, okay, and he's like, you know,
Howard is the real HU now Hampton. So he was like,
you know, we have more notable people that have graduated

(32:12):
from Howard than Hampton.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
So he was like, oh, you got a DJ Envy,
So it's like who you got.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
He was like, Felicia, I can start and stop and
start right there.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
And I wanted I was this closed from saying Shawn Combs,
I know I closed, right, Shawn Combs just gonna take
it all the way. It takes all of y'all out. Yes,
but I didn't because I wanted to graduate.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Didn't.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Well oh yeah, but he he went there and he
proclaims it loud and proud he does.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
And I think they gave him an honorary degree. Yes.
So I didn't say it then, but I'm saying it now.
Take that. Nick. Yeah, Shawn Combe, so you should have
said that. I know, I was. I was.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
I thought about it later and then and we have
Wanda Sykes oh okay, yes.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
All right, and Jaselle Bryant yep, there you go, there
we go. Whoop. Okay. So this is from Amy. Hi, ladies.
I've been a long time reasonably shady listener, and I
was pregnant with my third child when I heard the
episode where you talked about whether you would have liked
to have another child? Who said that you, uh maybe? Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
At the time, I kept saying so much online about
how three is too many, how hard it is to
start over once you have older kids, and how tricky
it is to have an odd number. Since I already
have a six I've had six year old twins. That
shit was really starting to irritate. So you have two,

(33:42):
do you think you could have another one?

Speaker 1 (33:45):
I wanted three, yeah, and I wanted them eighteen months apart,
right back to back to back. And when I had
the second one eighteen months apart, Carter, I was like,
it took me out. I was like, asking, Carter, took
you sweet Carter? Carter, Well, it wasn't. It was wild Cory.

(34:07):
Oh on top of sweet Carter, like the baby, the infant,
yeah thing, and then just having two boys, like as
sweet as Carter is, he's still a boy, like, you know,
just wild all over the place. So once Carter was
up and walking, it was just like I was. I
was a zombie. I said, I was a walking zombie
for like, yeah, good three four years. Yeah, me too,

(34:28):
And so I was like, oh, yeah, I my little
plan to have my third one derailed. Yeah, I said,
I can't do it. But I still think that's a
wonderful number to have three. Yeah. I still wish that
I had three. Yeah. And you but you came from two, yeah, yeah,
I came from two. Like everyone in my family, it's
just two two too, to all my cousins, my aunt,

(34:49):
everyone's just two. But I think three is a wonderful number.
Three is good number. I agree with that. Hearing just
talk about her three quote twins as well, and Robin
says she would have had another.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Made me feel oddly comforted and validated. I already relate
to you both, so it was a pretty cool timing.
In June, we welcomed our baby, our son Carter. My
twins are Corey and is this Audrey?

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Uh huh? Audrey and Robin, you're the one who first
put the Corey Carter name pairing on my radar. So
both of you have both of my kids names. We
love you, Amy, Okay.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
So I've loved it ever since, and it makes me
smile that I know that I have my own Corey
and Carter.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Oh. I love that too. I love that. Aside from
listening to your podcast, I've always really enjoyed watching Robin
on the Traders. Thank you Gazelle on Love Hotel. I
miss Robin on Rhop, but it's been fun to follow
along in new ways. A reasonable mom with shady tendencies
that I love that. I think that's you.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
You're a reasonable mom. Was a regionable person. Yes, shady tendencies.
That is very accurate.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Yes, I am. I love Amy.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
It ain't Nobody tell me if they named their kids
Angel or Door Grace dang, but.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
I think those would be good names for people to
pick up, like, yeah, well there's a lot of graces. Yeah,
and I swear there was no graces before I named
Grace Grace okay, and now there's a million guys. Okay,
So I mean, yeah, I want to say I did it.
Do you think there are any other people in this
world named Beyonce or Lebron? I just think those are

(36:28):
the yes you do. Okay. So remember the girl that
who does she work for? This is a oh I think.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
Steve Harvey, Steve Hardy had somebody had an assistant and
her name is Beyonce.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
What and there's and it was It's kind of clear.
So Beyonce is like forty four.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
So yeah, I think she was named like the mama
was like, oh I like that name, and then named
her child Beyonce.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Oh my gosh, I would never want that name, yes,
oh totally never. Never.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You wouldn't want that, You wouldn't want Lebron, you wouldn't
want Oprah.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
No, right, are there any other Oprahs? Are there any
other Oprah's you wouldn't want? Yeah, well either you wouldn't
want Elon Musk. I mean, who would want that? Right? Well?
Not I don't want Elon Musk. But there are other Elons,
I'm sure. I mean, you know, there's a bunch of names.
It's just like it's for that person. Fiance. Lebron and

(37:24):
Oprah are so unique, yes, that no one should ever
name their kids after them. No, you know, I feel like, Okay,
Michael Jordan, a lot of people probably name their kids
Michael after Michael Jordan. Yeah, it's fine because that's a
common name, right.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Well, yes, but then there's Michael b Jordan's like her,
his mother knew their last name was Jordan's.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Why would you name the child Michael? Yeah, yeah, that
was intentional probably, yes, yeah, or people could name after
Michael Jackson or whatever like those things. Fine, like you know,
you'll never you can't. We don't know who you really
named your child after.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
But Bion okay, but let's but at the time, I'm
thinking Beyonce wasn't Beyonce. She wasn't Cowboy Card Beyonce. She
wasn't Renaissance Beyonce. I'm sure she was just Destiny's child
Beyonce Yiah.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
But still that's even right, okay, right, yeah, but that's
still such a Yeah. I guess like at the time,
you don't know know this young Destiny's child Beyonce is
going to be like megastar, Yes, and it's gonna be
really weird, like and that person has to live name
that name day, right, Like, Hi, I'm Beyonce. I mean

(38:32):
I wonder if she like calls to get dinner reservations
and she says she's Beyonce and they give her, you know,
the best seat in the house or something, or if
they're like, but does Beyonce make car to make dinner? No,
she's not doing that. I'm changing my name. I'm sure
what Beyonce. No, if my name was Beyonce, I'll change.

(38:52):
Oh for sure, you're gonna call me be You're gonna
call Beyonce. You don't call me? Say yeah? Or how
about your middle name? What's your middle name? Woul the Million? Yeah, yeah,
I'm changing it. Yeah. Or Barack. Oh, that's another one.
Can't be Barack No, no, no, no, no, no, no, okay,
or like Robin. Well, no, oh wait, we still don't

(39:15):
know Rihanna's baby's name. Does she have it yet? I
don't think she had it yet. She still haven't had
no she had the baby.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
The Grammy winner revealed the exciting news on September twenty
fourth on Instagram, sharing pictures of her cradling her sleeping daughter,
announcing her sweet name Rocky Irish Mirrors.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Re Re wrote in the caption that.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Her bundle of Joy was born on September thirteenth, which
makes her a virgo.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Okay, by the way, I saw a picture of Rihanna. Yeah,
and she was big and pregnant, and she was wearing
this dress. It was like white and pink, kind of
gingham like, looking like a big old moumo. Right, yeah,
and everyone's like, oh my god, Rihanna looks so fly,
she looks so cute. And I'm like, I know, damn well,
if I wore that ship that, you would get dragged, Yes, dragged.

(40:05):
I would be made into a meme. I would be
you know what I mean, It would just be like, right, yeah,
So it's not fair. Why does Rihanna get away with
wearing sometimes some crazy looking ship? Yeah, it's just just
like her, the way she carries herself, like her aura
her aura Aura, I G.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
I think people are like Rihanna can do no wrong. Yes,
But when I saw this picture, if you just covered
the head, like the.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Face and you don't know it's Rihanna and you see
this big ugly dress that she has on, ain't no
one going to be like, oh my gosh, she looks
so cute. I think it'd be like when is this dress? Yes? Yeah?
And she was walking across the street. I think I
saw yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Okay, So this is from Sukiana Giselle. Can you tell
us about the gang member you dated?

Speaker 1 (40:50):
Please? Yes, please do? Did you when did I I
dated a gang member? Did no, I dated a gang member?
Did you say that on Potomac? Did you say in
like an interview one time, like oh you want to bed,
they gotta go to jail or something? Tell it? I mean, yeah,
but that's not a gang member like the crips and
the bloods. Are you kidding me? Yeah? Did you ever

(41:11):
date a gang member? I don't know. A drug dealer?
What about a drug dealer? And you had to have
dated a drug dealer because they were like like back
in the eighties, everybody was a drug dealer. Yes, I
dated a drug dealer.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Maybe, however I was maybe, however I was always so
there was a girlfriend that I went to high school
with and she ended up in college and just too
and they because somebody just asked me, it was recently.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
It's so crazy.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
They they were killed because they were with the drug
dealer at the time. So like in one case he
didn't die, she did, and another case they both died.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Okay, So that always turned me off to drug dealers. Yes,
very dangerous quickly, Yes, yeah, so very dangerous. I just
decided to date cheaters instead. This is from Jack.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Jack said to Zell and Robert, Hey, girls, I have
put together oh a rap. Okay, I'm gonna do this
right another kay, another rat for your podcast. I would
love for you ladies to read it and tell me
what you think. While you're here. I want to ask
a question, how does it feel to be so accomplished
and successful in life? A lot of people, including me,
dream of achieving the success in life you ladies did,

(42:24):
and would like to know any advice on how it
feels now that you've made it.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
Good question. I think success is different for everybody. Yeah,
so my level of sucess is probably different from yours
and would be different from the next person. So I
feel I mean, I'm very grateful for where I am
right now, but I feel like there's still things I
want to do, so I'm not I guess I don't

(42:52):
rest on it. I don't really think about it because
there's still other things. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I would
say I probably on my list of like level of success,
like this wasn't on it, you know what I mean,
like being on TV or podcast or you know whatever,
like that was never kind of on my list of

(43:14):
this is what I consider being successful. So I just
think you just kind of it's very interesting just to
see where life takes you. Yes, you know, yes journey, right,
it might this might not have been on your on
my radar, but you know, it's it's part of my
path and it's been something that I've just kind of
enjoyed seeing where my path goes. So yeah, so I

(43:37):
don't really and I guess I would say back, you know,
before I was on this, I don't even know what
success like how I quantified it, right, I think, you know,
maybe being like a a billionaire or something is like.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
I think, I mean, for me along the journey, there
have been times where I'm like, oh, wow, like I
did that.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
I've you know, done things that I've been like very
proud of. But yeah, same like we've been doing this
podcast for five years, like who would have done? Yeah? Right,
so I guess we can like you can take it
in stages, right, So it's like, oh, okay, well, once
I got on Potomac something that wasn't on my radar,
looking back and saying like damn, I did that shit

(44:18):
for eight years, like that's that's that's significant, that's success.
That's huge. Yeah, And so it wasn't something that I
planned for or yearned for. But when I look back
at it, it's like wow, and I'm and I'm proud
that I was able to do it for as long
as I did. Yeah, because be clear, it's hard.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Yeah, everybody just look everybody looks at reality television.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
It is like, I don't know, some foolishness. It is hard.
It is hard to knock down season after season after season,
af after season. It's it's a grind. So for you
to have been done eight seasons, that is you should
be proud, and that is huge yeah, I think, and like,
when you're in it, it's a lot, but you don't
really realize until you like step back and reflect and
like damn, Like Okay, that was a lot and I

(45:01):
did that and I'm proud of myself for doing it.
And the same thing with the podcast. We started the
podcast and we didn't really have any expectations for it,
but now that we're going into our fifth season, it's
like now I feel like, oh, wow, like we're successful
in podcasts. You know, we're you know, we're not at
the top.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
We're not you know, but we're not at the bottom, right,
we're not at the bottom. And and we've seen a
lot come and go yes, yes, but we're still here, yes, yes,
being reasonably shady.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
So I really think it's like once you can like
sit in it and then reflect back, and then you
can appreciate what you've done. So what's the person's name
that wrote in Jack? Jack? So Jack? Instead of I
think you should look at your life and reflect on
what you've done or what you've accomplished or what you've

(45:50):
gone through and look at it as a success. Yeah,
you know, whether whether it might not be how you
quantify or how you envisioned success or dreamed of success,
like I said, Okay, my originally I thought being a
gabillionaire mint success. But no, like me going through what
I've gone through is a success. I think you just
hope you like kind of bring things down to like

(46:14):
the level where you are.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah, put it in perspective, all right. So here is
Jack's lyrics. Giselle and Robin are filming on set Beyonce
nos Carter's got. Robin upset Giselle's surfing face effortlessly every time.
Robin is a CEO. She knows how to make a dime.
You got everything from reasonable to shady. Giselle defends mine

(46:39):
Angelou if Stacy say something crazy. Their chemistry is beyond incredible.
Giselle and Robin make me laugh so hard.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
I thought I took an addible worldwide audience from Brazilia,
Brazilian to Italian. Robin's not a.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Fan of Make the Stallion. Okay, Jack, this is a mass.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
That it has good work. Where did you say you
don't like mag Stallion? I was, I was very I
don't I don't like her music. Okay, Okay, Jack, this
is a mess. Okay, you talk about us eating you
eating that edible because that's how how much we make
you laugh. Yeah, Jack, we could do better. We're gonna
pull out some some bits.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
Some bits and pieces, but overall, I'd give it a seven.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
Okay, seven is not bad. Seven is not bad. Six
point five. Okay, you don't make it bad like that.
Let me make it bad. No, it's not bad. I
appreciate the effort. I do. I do too, y'all. Y'all
are coming through with the wraps. I think mad some
bits and pieces that we can get with. All right, guys,
we love y'all so much. We're out of here. Don't
ever forget to live your life. Either reasonable or sure

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
