Speaker 1 (00:08):
Misspelling with Tori Spelling and iHeartRadio podcast. Okay, guys, whoof
So I would say my life is very interesting, and
what keeps it interesting is you can never have a plan.
I'm not a planner, so I guess this worked out
(00:31):
for me. But if and when you know, I've been
trying really hard and Ruth dancemen helping me, and we're
trying really hard to keep a calendar for me because
I'm the type that's very memory oriented, Like I keep
(00:52):
everything in my mind, which is a blessing and a curse.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Like I can literally I'm a visual person and so I.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Go back to which is great for my storytelling and
for when I wrote all my books and everything and
when I tell my stories in my podcast. But I
can literally when things have happened, you know, stories that
I can go back and I see them play out
in my head. I literally can see everything, and that's
how I retell the story. So no one can ever
(01:24):
like be like I'll be like, oh yeah, and you
were wearing this, and they'll be like, I don't think
I wore that. I'm like, I know you wore that.
I can see it right now. So it's that type
of thing. I'm very good with the dates off the cuff.
I'll be like, oh yeah, so for a long time,
I would literally not keep a calendar. And part of it,
I think is like a stubbornness. I'm very stubborn. I'm
(01:44):
a Taurus. I'm stubborn. My dad was very stubborn. Were
I'm very similar to my dad like my dad.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Now I know where you get it.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Oh, never made that connection, but everyone, boy is she
he stubborn.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Stubbing like a bull. I'm a tourist, the bull. You know.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
There's so many good qualities about me, but I am
stubborn to my own detriment.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Though. That's the weird part.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
But he was like that too, and like my dad,
you know, amazing creator, producer, writer, like everything, ran an empire.
He like, you know, when the times changed, he would not.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Go to a computer.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
He in fact, had his original typewriter from back when
he was a writer, which my mom gifted to me
when my dad passed, and I have his original typewriter.
He did move on eventually from that because he used
to like hunt and peck on his old fashioned typewriter.
He moved on to a yellow lined legal pad, and
(02:57):
he would rewrite all his scripts and make notes on
a legal pad and just like it was. And I
think people were like, woo wait, like you have assistance,
like can we put the simso notes and stuff or.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Can you do this? You know? And he was like no, no, no, no,
refuse to change with the times. I am so like that.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
I literally don't use a computer. Fine, I heard give
me one to use for the podcast. But before that
they were like, oh, you know you can.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Do this on a computer. I'm like, I don't have
a computer.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Like I do everything on my phone everything, And it's
just this very reminiscent of like and everything I keep
in my head. So when people are like, oh, a calendar,
you know, put it in your calendar on your phone,
I'd be like okay, and I just wouldn't do it.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
But I always remembered. But it's so much pressure on
some In some way, in my defense.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
It keeps my brain very sharp, like I am always thinking.
But it's a lot in this brain, Like you know,
there's a lot going on in there. Oh my god,
you guys, Ruth and Adrian, that'd be a fun thing
have someone they brain readings. Like they'd be like, whoa
what is going.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
On here.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
That would be fascinating to see what like, cause I'm
such a creative but I'm so can't focus.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
We were just talking about this last night, right, ruth An.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I'm like, the key to our success in the future
is finding someone who can speak Tory brain, which is
not normal because we were talking about, like, Okay, we
need to get like organized, because Ruthana and I have
so many projects coming up, and and it's the it's
the things that I don't do that I need someone
(04:52):
to kind of help me with, literally, like my refusal
to write things in my notes, my refusal to put
things in a calendar, my refusal to even put things
on a whiteboard, even though fifty million have been gifted
to me. In fact, I see five in a pile
right over there. They're in the corner doing nothing but
piling up.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
If I could just say, I think part of the problem,
which is not a problem in the big picture, is
that your worth brain moves so fast that it's like
impossible to keep up. It's like, by the time you're
at a place where you can write something down, your
brain has come up with like fourteen new things.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Oh my god, that's the challenge poor ruth Anne, because unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
She is the human I share these things with.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
So when you're a creative brain too, that's the problem
because you come up with an idea and then I'm like, oh,
and then we do blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
So then I'm not great at being just quiet and
being like, okay, let me take that down and detailed
fashion I mean, rando.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
But like last night, we were discussing some of our
fifty million meetings and like the and ruth Anne does
like keep me on point, like you need to get
this done and do that, and she'll put everything in
my calendar and like she's really helping me try to change.
And in the middle of it, I wanted to listen.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I was reading her text.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
I was like, oh my god, I just came up
with Monty's new biscuit line and it was like, remind
me to send it to you. And You're like okay,
but I know, like you must be like, oh, great idea,
but oh my god, focus, I can't. So to that point,
what was my point? It is chaotic here, That is
(06:48):
my point. A normal day, it's like anything that we
do plan Ruthanne.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Goes out this here goes to the window. Has it
ever gone smoothly when anything's been planned?
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Okay, yeah, like, but it always makes for a funny story.
I'll say that.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I was relaying to my brother the other day something
because my brother and I are both creative entities, but he,
as a libra, is also able to be completely organized,
loves a good list.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
And he was in town and we were he was
over and.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
We were talking and we have like all these like
ideas and we're talking about life and the kids.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Are both our kids and like, and I.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Was just like, oh my god, I tell you what happened.
And he's like what. I'm like, this happened yesterday.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
And he's like what. And I was like I know.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
And he's like why why do these things happen to you?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
And I took a beat.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
I've been and my brother has really been helping me
out lately because I have, really my whole life, I'm
such a people pleaser that I realize my instincts, my
gut instinct is not I'm not saying like, oh, I'm right,
but I always like if I follow it, or at
least listen to it, it usually leads to something good.
(08:24):
But in the past, I have an instinct. You know,
some people you ever have these weird moments when you're like,
look at something.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
You're like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Why I'm in the store and I'm randomly looking at it,
and then you go home and you realize, like eight
hours later, you're looking you're looking for something like let's
say you're looking for a band. You saw band aids
in the store, let's say, and you're like, what is
my brain focusing on band aids?
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Huh?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
And you like disregard your instinct and you go home,
and sure enough, eight hours later, something happens you need
a band aid to go Look, you don't have band aids.
You're like, oh my god, Now were.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
We predicting the future? Who knows.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
I don't even know what I believe there. But it
was like a gut instinct. And that's just like instinctual stuff.
So I'm really trying hard as my brother has encouraged
me to go with my gut lately, and because I've
been doing that, more and more is happening that I'm like.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
WHOA, that's cool. That's a cool sign.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
And anyway, my brother is a fabulous life's coach, so
I often don't want to bother him with stuff because
he gets paid to do this for a living, so
I don't want him to have to do it for
his sister, like when he has downtime.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
God, he's good at it.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
So anyway, I was saying, he's like what, he goes,
why did these things happen to you? And I thought
about it and I was like, gut. He's like, yeah,
we're going with that lately, and I'm like, chaos is.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
My freedom.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
And he goes, oh, okay, I don't know about that.
I was like, nope, just take it. I don't know
what it means right now. That's what my gut's trying
to say. And I've thought about it, and I was like, wow,
I think my brain moves so fast that I get
mentally bored if things are go as just planned. You know,
(10:19):
I'm the type I don't know what you guys are like.
You know, everyone's different. You know, when I went to
parties on we even go out anymore change that I'm
going to start.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
To go out more.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
I I would always be like, you know, my best
friend Jess, here's a great example of the two of us.
We're Yin and Yang yet we totally compliment each other.
If there's Jess will send me photos if there is
an event coming up two months away of what she's
gonna wear for it, and I'm like, why are you
(10:53):
doing this right now? And she's like, because you know that,
I like to plan things now.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
For me.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
That takes me down a rabbit hole because she'll be
like inspiring me and sending me pictures from her closet
and things or something she finds online and she'll say
should I get this?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Is it right for the party?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
And she will stick with something because that's how her
brain works.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
She is a lister, she is a planner.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Now me, I've tried to be like, okay, I want
to be more like Jess, like this would help my
life because she is, you know, said like your life,
you're just always stressed because you're just going, going, going,
Like if you would plan ahead, why Christmas presents ahead,
maybe you wouldn't be as stressed out and you can
(11:38):
enjoy and slow down me.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
If there's a party coming up. I tried her thing.
I got the outphit. The day came, I looked at
that outfit and I was like, ah, I don't want that.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
It was like an hour before and I was running
through my closet. But there comes my creative joy. I
was running through my closet being like, ooh, I could
mix this with this and put this and this is
HI mixed with low.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
And like I created something. I was a little out
of breath.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I was a little tired by the time we went
to that party, but you know what, I was inspired
and I was happy.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Does this make sense for me? Yes?
Speaker 1 (12:20):
So that said, I know when we put things like
we're gonna do this meeting, and do I follow through
our meetings?
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yes, But it's like I'm gonna go through.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
A day yesterday because there was a lot of stuff
that needed to be done yesterday, and I was like,
there was this schedule and in typical Tory fashion, none
of those timelines could be hit. Everything got executed yesterday
that needed to get done, but not in the calendar
(12:56):
version that was in my calendar. In the timeline, yeah,
about two days ago, was it? You guys know, I'm sick, like,
oh my god, for so long, finally getting better. Still
have the cough left over. Grateful that my kids never
got anything. Never say that out loud, because I think
(13:20):
I said it out loud on on the podcast. My
kids got everything, not COVID, but you know, they got
all all the viruses, the rhino, the Taro, the RaRo,
Farrow duo. I don't know, there's so many, but I
love this one. They have all these fun names. And
(13:42):
then I say to the urgent care because I'm like,
it's positive for this, for this, for this, And I'm like,
oh my god, oh my god, pull my mind's blowing.
And then I go, whoa, wait, go back, what is that?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
It's like the common cold? Like what?
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So they have all these viruses with all the like
crazy names, but they're just like the common cold, but
in fact, often the original COVID nineteen. I know this
because this has happened at urged in Care. They'll be like, oh,
that's a positive for COVID. You're like what, and they're like, oh,
it's the original one, not the new crazy stream. So
(14:21):
it's just like quote unquote the common cold, well all
of this stuff. I don't remember common colds being like this,
but whatever. Anyway, so my kids have viral infections whatever,
They're fine.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
You know, it's a lot more work for me. I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
I'm feeling better because I'm like running from room to
room and bringing them stuff and just it's it's a lot.
But anyway, so that's going on in my house right now.
And then so yesterday I had a lot of work
stuff to get done, right ruth Ann did I?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yes? I had a con You had a ton to
get done yesterday, and I was kind of freaking out.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Then of course I'm looking at the calendar, going how
is this all going to happen?
Speaker 2 (15:11):
But Toy had other plans.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
I had other plans, So wait, hold on, I got
two phones here, I'm just gonna go through what.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Of course, my phone said, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
If it's not one thing it's Toy, It's it's oh
my god. Okay, so I'm gonna go for my memory
because it's great. Whatever, fuck the calendar. Okay, So yesterday
some work things that needed to get done.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I had to tape a podcast done check.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I had to do a zoom meeting for an upcoming
campaign that I'm working on and meet with an entire
team and run through it.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
I had to so this other this other.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Brand that I'm working with this campaign because I'm also
a content creator in my spare time, Akay, used to
be an influencer.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
No, it's content creator. Those were the days. It was
so crazy.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
I remember like actors always got you know, or entertainment.
So as actors, you know, musicians, athletes, like if there
were campaigns that like came online like we were the
go tos, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Oh god, those were the days. That was some good stuff. Monty.
Please do not walk into that ring light right now.
It took me forever.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
The ring line situation here, the plugs, this is all
this is if I'm going to take a picture and
post what it looks like in my madness here, because
there's extend I don't know to do extensions like so
well I know how to do extensions of the hair
kind like the plugins, so I have like plugs everywhere.
It is it is, I don't know what it is.
(17:03):
It is a mad scramble. It is like a tetris
of cords and one false move and one gets some plugged.
The ring light goes out, the audio goes out, like
I'm a one man show here, I'm doing it.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
What did they call it? Man, I'm a one woman show.
I'm a one show. Welcome. So anyway I was talking
about he's totally fought. So back in the.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Day, you know, like it would be like we got
hired for campaigns and like that's when social was just starting.
Oh my god, I'm aging myself right now. And I
remember like saying, oh, there's this cool, like I see this,
you know, I would love to work with this brand,
and like I you know, I'm a dear wire.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
I'm cook.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
I can I can make anything. Tory ball trades like, oh,
you know, any kind of candy, any kind of cookies.
I could like make some recipe you'd never think of, like,
and I was always the go to girl.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
And then they were like, oh, influencers are taking over.
And I remember the day.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I was on the phone with my agent at the
time and I was like, what's an influencer?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
This is yeah, this is a long time ago.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
And then, in true Tory fashion, I got off that
phone call and I was like, can't keep me down.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
I'm gonna keep going.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
So I was like, Okay, I'm going to become an influencer,
and I'm proud to say.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
I've done a pretty darn good job. So yeah, so
I was like, Hi, I'm Tori.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
I'm a celebrity turned influencer and now I'm like, Hi,
I'm Tori. I'm a celebrity turned influencer, turned content creator
turned back into an actress. Like this is all just
big now my influencers, I'm back. But anyway, anyway, I'm
a content creator. So but it is not natural to
(18:56):
me the way I can't do a calendar a list.
When some jobs I'll get and they'll be like, oh,
this is an easy one. I don't take five minutes
to film and you know, just you know post, and
I'm like, okay, a true content creator. The younger people,
it probably does take them five minutes. Me, it's a
(19:17):
full day job. Like you see my post, when you
see my videos online, look at my Instagram and have
empathy for me or my tiktoks because those weren't easy
to create.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
They took me probably half a day.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
And also in between trying to edit and put music
and do all this stuff, I'm sort of add hashtags
and all the stuff you're supposed to do that is
easy to others. In between, I have to take a
break every five seconds because something on unexplained happens. Something
I wasn't planning on happens. A kid needs this something
(19:52):
goes out here.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
I have to do that. Take a break.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
I have to create something for Monty like I did
last night. Oh, his biscuit line is going to be
fun rebulus. So yesterday I'm just setting the stage. I
had a content creation and for some reason, because this
is such tory life, filmed it all.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
It was great when somewhere and filmed it.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Didn't check my recordings came home and the one informational
one I needed somehow I didn't record.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
That's my look.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
So I was like, okay, I gotta go redo this
because it was important. So we had a timeline this day,
I'm supposed to go do this, go do all that.
When I told Ruthie and yesterday morning, I said, oh
my god, the kids, they just they all are testing
for these viruses. Now she goes to me, you guys
(20:54):
need to get out of that house. And I don't
mean out of that house. I just mean you guys
you need to get out. My brain took what she
said initially and was like, you got to get out
of the house. This is what my brain heard. You
got to get out of the house. You got a detox. Okay, fine,
you got to get the kids out out. Keep in
mind the word out out. So I've done on my
(21:19):
work here, I am ready to go film my content.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I go into the.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Guest bathroom, which is downstairs in our house, and this
brush that I now have on my desk here, I
am brushing my hair in that bathroom.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
And oh, I did.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Pee first, so I peed first, but I flushed it
and the toilet was fine. And then I look in
the mirror, pick up this brush right here that I
have in my hand right now, and I'm brushing my
hair to fix my hair to go film this content.
And Liam is going to go with me and help me.
And as I'm doing it, in my mind, I hear
(22:00):
ruth AM's text, you gotta get out of the house.
You gotta detox, you gotta get out. I shit you
not no pun intended. There's no shit in the toilet.
All of a sudden, as I'm thinking this in my brain, I'm.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Like, God, why do my feet feel wet?
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Well, now my pants are feeling wet, And I'm like,
did I just peel myself? What's going on? I look
down and not only has the toilet started overflowing, it
is moving fast. It is surging, it is gushing. It
is the friggin Titanic here, you guys. It is happening fast.
(22:42):
I likened it to the Blob because it's like a
native reference the Blob. It's an old movie. Do you
guys remember that anyway? Uh, But this thing, I am
not kidding.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
There was no pee, there was no pooh. It was
clear water.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
But the toilet was not just overflowing, it was flooding.
It was like forcing us out.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
I am not kidding.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
By the time I look down, the entire bathroom is flooding,
like two inches of water. It is headed out the door.
I throw the guest bathroom door open. It's already gone.
I had never seen water move this fast. It has
gone into the foyer. It's gone in under the guest closet.
Oh my god, it's gone under the guest closet. I
(23:27):
fling open the closet door, and I'm like, oh my god.
I I'm not an organized person, and I just shove
everything in closets.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
You guys know this about me. And it is all
like the kids, like the crafting utensils.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Everything's on the floor and it's all soaked already it's
hit the back of it. Then I look, it's going
down the steps that go into our.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Lower level, which is all our dean akar like family area,
our kitchen, you see.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
I post a lot about that. It is surging so
fast the entire room is filling. I'm like, I'm screaming.
I'm like Liam, help, I'm like, the house is flooding.
The house it's like wild. So he comes and he
helps me. We're grabbing as many towels as we can grab,
(24:17):
as fast as we can grab, like running up to
the linen closet.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
He's grabbing towels.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
And then I'm like this had to go faster because
the house is now flooded, like completely covered in water.
I run into the laundry room all the like towels
from the laundry basket, didn't.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Care that they were used towels, like just we gotta
soak this up.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
And then I'm like we gotta stop it. And Liam's like, yes,
he got it. Oh, thank god for lamb.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
So he went in and he turned the water off,
turned the like I don't know what he did. He
stopped it, and I was like, oh my god, whoa
our house just flooded. Our house just detox. It's like
it's almost I'm like, we got to get out. I'm like,
what is happening?
Speaker 2 (25:06):
So I tell Ruth I'm I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I'm gonna be like twenty minutes late to go film
this thing because our house just flooded. We're on text though,
and she's like what. I'm like, yeah, it's wild. So anyway,
we fix it.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
We pile all the we clean everything up.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Liam and I are our hands and knees, were like
doing poor Stella's up in bed sick, Hattie's in bed sick.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Then like they're coming down. They're like what.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
I'm like, you guys, we gotta help. You gotta help
everyone like towels put in a basket. Okay, great, they're
soaking wet the towels. So then I'm like, okay, Liam,
we got this ready. I go change and then he's
like wait. I was like whoa wait I look, and
(25:56):
I'm like, Bo, Bo's home now he's homesick. He comes
down and oh, Bo's got an eye. He likes to
call us on everything. This guy he's always right though,
and he goes there's still water and I'm like no, no, no,
we worked really hard, and he goes, Mom, you can't
see it at certain angles, but when you look in the.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Light, there's water there.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
So all of the water had gone through the laundry
basket in towl is now flooding outside of that. So
we had to reclean that out. And I'm like, put
it out the laundry basket, get it out of the house.
So Liam puts it outside of the house. In fact,
I'm looking at it right now because of course i
have not cleaned it up. It's still sitting outside on
our patio. AnyWho, we go, we leave, it's like great,
(26:41):
About to get in the car.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I get a text.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Wait, Hattie's bleeding. I'm like, what come back in the house.
Hattie had stepped on some mystery piece.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Of glass in her carpet.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
That was unseen, and her foot is gushing blood.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I'm like, oh my.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
God, Okay, she's calm, everything's fine. And I'm like, now,
I'm like, are these signs? What is happening? And it's
like it's coming from inside your house? Do you remember
that as stranger calls? The calls coming from inside your house,
It's like whoa. And then I'm thinking and I referred
(27:26):
to my sickness previously as an exorcism. I'm like, oh
my god, it's like our house is now having an exorcism.
What is going on?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
So I'm like glass what? So then she's.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Like no, no, no, Mom, don't don't panic at something because
she knows I'll go there.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
I'll like cause I love horror films.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
I'm like, ooh, it's something creepy, like the mysterious glass
who And she's like, no, no, no, I think I
know what happened. She had these like ornamental figurines and
Marceau our cat. She's like, I think he knocked it
over in the middle of the night and it's broken
because she's looking and she's like, that's what it is. Okay,
no mystery, but I had to tend to it. She
was okay, everything was fine.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
We leave.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
We finally get there. I'm filming the contents and Liam
is filming it for me and he goes mom, and
I go what. He goes, there's another emergency at home.
And I was like, oh my god, what's happening now?
And he's like it was Hattie again and he's like
hat he's having a nosebleed.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
I'm like, I never has nose bleeds a day.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
We're hay, like, I know two viruses. She stepped on
a piece of glass and then she's getting a nosebleed.
I am not kidding you guys. This went on that
started around twelve pm with the first nosebleed at seven pm.
(28:45):
Because she would have a nosebleed and then it would stop,
we get it under control. But because she had a virus,
you know, she was anxious to blow her nose, it
would reopen the nosebleed. So here's me chatcheepreut, trying not
to get her scared, like how many nowswleez or too
many nosebleeds?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Like what are okay? What are the signs you should
go to the er? What do you do? You know?
But I'm saying to her, I'm like, it's okay, baby,
you're fine. Liam, since he was a kid, gets nosebleeded,
so he's coaching her through it.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Anyway, seven nose bleeds by seven pm last night. I
finally was like, go back to your gut instincts and
I was like, we're going to the urgent care. The
urgent care. So we go to urgent care, everything's working out.
But keep in mind, this whole timeline was just so
(29:37):
wild because all these work things are like coming in.
It's like we need approval on this. You got to
edit this, you know. It's like I have so many
different businesses and often you can't say because Ruthann knows
what's going on, but I can't say to my like
entire iHeart team when we have a schedule and answers
(30:01):
need it. Like you guys aren't gonna believe this. My
daughter is just after some nosebleed. I'm headed to the yar,
you know, and it's just like, okay, we'll give you
an answer. So I'm like multitasking like a fiend. And
it was just crazy, long story short, this poor child
(30:25):
seven nosebleeds at seven.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Pm at night. There was like an hour in between.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Here's what I thought, you know, and I'm going down
the rabbit hole of like asking.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Google Chatchie to you what do I do? Do I
go to the yar? Do I like it? My mind's like.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Oh, and I'm like nope, instinct, We're going to the
urgent care.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
The urgent care. Wow, I'm old.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Anyway, we went to the urgent care. Well, it's our
local urgent care, so they deserve a really rab title.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
We go in and it was good.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
The rape bet like Hattie said, she's like MoMA, I'm
not worried and I don't feel light ated. I feel okay.
And I said, I know, okay, put it on me.
It'll make my mom heart and soul feel better, just
having them be able to check you out.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Doctor checked her out and said everything's fine. She has
this virus.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
She's blowing her nose a lot. It's dry and there.
It's just reactivating. She told her in technical terms, I
wouldn't know. That made Hattie feel better.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
I felt better. So anyway, what was the answer aqua
for who knew? God?
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I love Aqua Foor for everything. It's more than just
a butt cream for babies. Anyway, moisturizing up there, happy
to say she hasn't had another nose bleed. So we
get home and Stella had helped Hattie through it, and
Liam's super helpful because he's gotten blatant noses his whole life.
Everything was fine, knows that stopped bleeding. Poor things. God,
(32:01):
I love her, she was so panicked. She has the
most beautiful blonde hair. She had blood all on her hair,
and she's like, mom, is blood gonna come out of
blonde hair? And I'm thinking in my head.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Oh, that's a hard one. God, I'm not sure. And
I looked at her and I said, of course, yes,
that will come out. Kim, who does my hair? Help
my hair?
Speaker 1 (32:26):
But anyway, she was calmed down. Everything was fine when
you laid down. Stella said, I'm gonna watch a movie
with you, which she's always super happy like that older
sister time Becauselle's a senior now she's out with her friends,
and you know, she kind of doesn't have a lot
of time for her siblings the way she used to be.
(32:47):
Like I mean Stella and I. Stelle is like a
second mom in the family, basically, like.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
We were raising these kids together.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
So Pattie's super excited when her older sister, like keeping
my voice down cause she is here six she's upstairs.
So she's like, Stella's gonna watch a movie with me.
I'm so excited, I'm going to bedroom. So everything was fine,
and I said, okay, why don't I go pick up
food for you guys.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
And bring it home? Are you fine? So I was like, yeah,
I got this so I say to Liam.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Okay, Stella's got all the kids, like, they're all fine,
how he's good with their nose. Leave, Let's go pick
up food. So we decide we're going to go pick
up food. And also I was like, oh my gosh,
it's one of his favorite places too, and how he
loves it too.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
So but you know, he did help.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Me all all day long the flooding the content film,
like talking through how he threw a Blaine out like
he was.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Oh god, I love that kid. Oh he's not a
kid anymore, my first adult.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
But so he and I get in my car and
we go to Tatsuki, one of our favorite places, and
they have a little bit of everything.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
I mean it's.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Japanese, so it's sushi, but it's also good for everyone,
like even Finn who doesn't.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Eat sushi, like he loves the cook stuff there.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
And and you can get me so soup and anyway,
so there was something for everyone that was feeling sick
not feeling sick.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
It's great.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
So I go there and and Colin who is he's
always there. I know all the guys there. This is
also Bo's one of his favorite spots. We frequent They
call it we walk in when bo walks in. When
he and I go there and Colin will shout out
to the chefs Bo Special and they're like they know.
(34:41):
I'm like, man, I wish I had that like clout
in town. Anyway, So go in and he's like hey,
and I was like hey, and he is.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
I said, oh my god. He said how are you?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
And I said, oh my god, it has been a day.
And he goes right, and I go, wait, what do
you mean? He goes Everything that could go wrong I
didn't even know could go wrong, he has gone wrong today.
I go meet what we talked me through this and
he's like oh, I said, like what and he's like, oh, well,
(35:13):
gonna leave for work this morning went out. Battery said,
I can't start the car, get here, our wife buys out.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
I can't even like think.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
He's like, uh, the pan and the and the back broke.
It was like he's like, it's just one thing after another.
I said, oh my god, and I was like, well,
did the toilet flood?
Speaker 2 (35:36):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Anyway, it was just one of those things where I
was like, wait, okay. It was kind of good to
know that wasn't just me anyway, I don't know mercury
and retrograde. I feel like, is that happening right now?
I mean, that's happening more often than not, so probably.
But anyway, it was a day. So so we get
(35:59):
the food, we go and I'm feeling a little bit better.
I'm like, hey, Colin went through this, I can go
there's everything is fine. Oh my god, I have to
give a shout out here really quick because I have
no idea how to reach this human. While I'm placing
the order, Leem and I go sit down. We're waiting
(36:19):
and Colin says, there's a customer here. He always comes here.
His name is Eric. He wants to say hi to you.
I was like, yeah, of course, and so I go
hi and he's like, oh my gosh, nicest guy.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
He's like, oh my god, He's like, you look great.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
I was like, oh, I had to I had to
film something. And I don't always dress like this. I
never wore dresses. And I was like no, no, no,
And he's like, I was like, you agree what you're wearing.
And he's like, oh my gosh. He's like I just anyway,
long story short, big fan. We have a great conversation
Eric and I and I was like, can I give
you a hug?
Speaker 2 (36:54):
And He's like, yeah, I never know what's appropriate. I'm like, no,
I'm a hugger.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
And anyway, we had this really cool conversation and he
was just like, things you have done, and you know,
from TV to movies to books like things and podcasts
like things you have done in life have mental lot
to me have been really special and I can't believe
(37:17):
I'm seeing you here, and so I just wanted to
say that. And I was like, oh my gosh, I
hope I see you again. And you know what, I
just when things come to me, I say him. And
I've really gotten to that practice because one thing can
change somebody's day. And my kids are always like, mom,
why do you say that. I look down Eric and
(37:38):
my feet. He's wearing flip flops. Very funny guy, right,
I can always read my audience. And as he's leaving,
I said, Eric, you have a beautiful feet and he
was like oh. And I said, well, if you ever
need a side house on feet finder.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
And he laughed.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
It made him laugh, and I was like, great, I
brought him joy and made him laugh. Of course he's like, well,
you can't say that, and I was like, why not,
Like if he's authentically Tory and he likes me and
likes me for me and he knows me over the
years from watching or reading, he gets it. He doesn't
take offense anyway. We go back and we're like waiting
(38:22):
and Liam and I are on the phone. We're like,
you know, texting is had?
Speaker 2 (38:26):
He okay? All that?
Speaker 1 (38:28):
So Colin's like, oh, your order's ready. I said, thank you, and.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
He goes Eric, Eric paid for fifty dollars if your
order and I go what what? Oh my god? Tory
and me.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
I was like I can't take that. No, no, no,
I can't accept that. I was like, well wait, and
he's like here are you left? Because he wanted to
do it, and he goes, let him do it. Let
people do things for you that are kind. You're kind
to people.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
And I said, I know, I.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
Just and he and he said he probably didn't expect
that you would have that like long conversation, like he
genuinely really wanted to do it.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
And I was like, ohing, you're right okay, And I
was like, how do I think Eric? I got to
reach Eric and he's like ooh.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
For some reason, he was like, I'm not sure it's
lest anyway, So he said, you'll see him again. He'll
be back in here. You'll be back in here. You
can thank him that. So, Eric, if you were out there,
I want you to.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Know, oh my god, thank you.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
No one does that stuff for me, Like, no one's
ever done that, Like, thank you. Totally not need it,
but you actually you made my day right back. Not
the whole money thing like I had a a You
made me smile.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
So thank you, Eric.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
But gosh, what a wild day of out getting it
out gushing like flooding. I don't know, And I honestly
this all sounds like a real big negative here. I
think it's a positive. I think it's like a rebirth,
(40:04):
Like I'm gonna go on a lemon and be like
our family, our energy, like we are cleansing of sorts
in all shapes and form all over our family, all
over the house. Oh shit, that reminds me Liam. We
got to turn the water back on the guest toilet. Yep.
Still gotta get that done.
