(00:36):
in US Marines to quail protests there, but he is
being blasted by the mayor of Los Angeles, the government
of California, as well of the Democratic governors across the country.
Also on today's show, folks, slid Stone has died the
age of eighty two.

Let's go.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
He's got whatever the best, He's do it, whatever it

Speaker 7 (01:17):
Got, scoop the fact the fine and wait to place.
He's right on top and is rolling. Best believe he's
going putting it out from his Boston news to politics
with entertainment.
Speaker 8 (01:30):
Just bookcase.
Speaker 9 (01:31):
He's going.
Speaker 8 (01:34):
It's rolling out.
Speaker 6 (01:39):
It's rolling Monte. Yeah, rolling with Roon. He's Bronky's dress.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
She's real.
Speaker 6 (01:49):
Good question. No, he's rolling Monte.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Vice President Kamala Haras said that Donald Trump was going
to send the army after you, and the heel newspaper said.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Oh my god, she's lying.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Well, guess what happened.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Donald Trump's sending seven hundred marines to California after ice.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Well, we think it's ice.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Individuals proclaiming to the ice wearing mass not showing any
ideas starting the violence over the weekend. That's led to
massive protests there. Now Trump JD. Van's Republicans, they want
to make the claim that, oh my god, LA is
going up in flames, when that is not the case.
It is not the case, and the mayor has said so,
(02:44):
the governor said so, the Los Angeles Police Department has
said so. But this is what Donald Trump wants to do.
He desperately wants to use the military to quote unrest
or what he proceeds to be unrest in this country
his immigration policy.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
It started.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
They literally went to a school, a school graduation elementary
school graduation caused parents to flee, leaving kids stranded there.
That's what we're seeing happening. How ICE is operating. They
even arrested the head of the SEIU union. Uh there
in California. Let's talk about what's going on there with
our guests, Rudy de Leon, a senior Fellow National Security,
(03:25):
International Policy Center for the Center for American Progress.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Also, we have California State Assemblyman.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Mike Gibson with us as well, so glad to have
both of you here. Mike, I want to start with you,
just give us a sense of the madness happening there.
You have the LAPD that said peaceful protest with the
mayor say that.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
So the people in Los Angeles are saying one thing.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Donald Trump and his maggot folks are saying totally something different.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
That's right. First, first of all, thank you very much, Roland. Exactly.
Speaker 10 (04:06):
The President has since it in the National Guards, and
yet today in twenty four hours, we'll have seven hundred
marines coming into Los.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Angeles to try to keep the peace.
Speaker 10 (04:17):
According to what the President is trying to say we
have had peaceful protests taking place.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
We've had you know, young people, you.
Speaker 10 (04:27):
Know, put some things on fire, but by and large,
and I want to say, by and large it has.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Been peaceful protests taking place.
Speaker 10 (04:36):
I want to underscore what has taken place when the
National Guards, under the direction of President Donald Trump, have
sent those National Guards here. It further inflamed what is
taking place around the national around peaceful protesting taking place
with ICE, Oh, those masquerading as ICE agents going into graduation,
(05:01):
going to elementary schools, going and pulling.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Kids out of school.
Speaker 10 (05:06):
We had an elementary school student in Torrents at Torrents
Elementary School being uprooted at the elementary school and being
deported now in Texas and God knows where this child is.
We had one of our labor leaders, David Wartha, who
went to a demonstration, who was singled out, who was
(05:28):
abused at a detention center and he himself was detained
abused Central Hospital, was refused.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Any kind of medical attention. The mayor was called.
Speaker 10 (05:40):
The mayor sent medical attention there and he was transported
to the hospital and then detained and placed in a
detention center and was isolated and no one was able
to see him.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And today we had a.
Speaker 10 (05:53):
Demonstration, and today he was actually released on bail, but
that was thousands of people rally in and support. This
has been further exacerbated by the Trump administration by bringing
in these militarized units, coming in with AK forty seven,
with assault weapons, with tanks, with military kinds of weapons
(06:18):
and terrorizing our communities, and our communities are paralyzed, but
also enrage walking down the street, we had one we
had one man.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Testified and said he was walking down the.
Speaker 10 (06:31):
Street with his girlfriend and they jumped out of a car.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
He was holding to.
Speaker 10 (06:35):
His girlfriend, she pulled out her phone start videotaping. They
threw him to the ground and just grabbed her and
threw her in the car and arrested her and drove off.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
He don't know where this girl is at.
Speaker 10 (06:48):
And she's a United States citizen, she was born and
raised here as a college student. And this is what's
happening in the streets of Los Angeles, and people are
damn mad.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
I am mad at what's going on right now.
Speaker 10 (07:00):
So he is furthering flaming hysteria and just outrage what's
going on here. In Los Angeles, and so to bring
in the National Guard, to bring in seven hundred Marines.
He's causing a war right here, and he's attacking Americans
to further you know, Project twenty twenty five in this country.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
I'm looking at this tweet right here, said Ice rate.
ICE raid Los Angeles elementary schools to make welfare check
on first graders. Principal block entry. Disguised federal agents told
school staff they had parents permission to take kids out
of class.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
That was an outright line.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
They quickly hit their IDs when asked for details, arrived
in unmarked cars and wore casual clothing, leading to confusion
about who they actually were. Department of Homeland Security confirmed
that the agents we work for them, but they claim
they were not technically ICE agents. However, the federal agents
say if they were at the school to make a
welfare check on students, they claim were quote on accompanied
(08:10):
miners who cross the border. The parents and legal guardians
deny any interaction with these entities and certainly do not
providing authorization for these individuals to have any contact with
these children at the school.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
I mean, this is what's crazy. These people are doing.
Whatever the hell they.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Want to do.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
We don't know who they are. They're not showing IDs,
they're hiding up their masks. We don't know if they're
Proud Boys. We don't know if they are the Patriots group,
white supremacists. We literally do not know. And Donald Trump's
folks act like we don't give a damn. We don't
have to tell you.
Speaker 10 (08:43):
And that's just right. We're not going to release our
children to complete strangers. They could be pedophiles who are
for all we know. We're not going to allow anyone
to come up to our schools and grab our kids
just to say that you know, they're doing a welfare check.
So we've been educating now our principles, but our teachers,
but our communities to know their rights, not to if
(09:04):
someone knock on their door, no, we want to see
we want to see papers, We want to see a
sign order by some kind of a judge. We are
educating our community to making sure that they know their rights.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
And to have these these individuals.
Speaker 10 (09:19):
Go after children, minors and try to gain entry into
their homes or to elementary schools.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
How dare you? Donald Trump?
Speaker 10 (09:28):
And also ice agents have a conscience, so you know
these are the kinds of tactics they're doing to our communities. Yes,
our community is scared, and so we're calling on everyone
to one know your rights, to making sure that we,
you know, black and brown, one stand together, because we
know that we're powerful when we stand together against these
kinds of attacks against our communities.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
And so our mayor to.
Speaker 10 (09:52):
Even just yesterday, to have one of Donald Trump's appointees
to say that any elected official stands in our way,
we will arrest not only the mayor of Ceve of
Los Angeles Karen Bass, and the governor. How dare you
threaten the mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass, who was
a former member of Congress, but also our governor.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Of the state California.
Speaker 10 (10:15):
I mean, you are stooping into these kinds of low
kind of tactics, I mean down politics. This is the
leader of our state, the leader of the mayor of
the City of Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
You threatened that you're gonna throw them in jail. How
dare you?
Speaker 10 (10:28):
These are our leaders, These are what we're elected to
lead the state and the City of Los Angeles, and
you're gonna threaten them.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
All that's going to continue to do is anger.
Speaker 10 (10:38):
You know, Californians, and that's what they're doing, Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
Under the law, the members of Congress have a right
to go one look at detention centers and making sure
those who are being detained have the right to do
welfare checks.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
And they were denied entry into those facilities.
Speaker 10 (10:54):
Jimmy Gomans, Congresswoman Tourists, Congresswaran Maxine Waters, and the whole
entire LA delegate was denied entry by law. They have
a right to That is again a slap in that
delegation's face.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
And I hope that they.
Speaker 10 (11:07):
Will go to Congress today and tomorrow and raise him.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I won't bring in Rudy right now. Rudy, first of all,
you're seeing something. Donald Trump is not targeting red states.
He's purposely doing this in blue states. He wants to
provoke action. This is what he wants. This is exactly
what he wants to accomplish.
Speaker 11 (11:35):
So thanks Roland for the invitation to be on your show.
You're right, you know, today the use of military units
into a domestic environment that should always be the tool
of last resort. But deploying the National Guard to Los
Angeles right now just seems to want to inflame the situation.
Speaker 12 (11:56):
That started with the ICE agents last week.
Speaker 11 (11:59):
And it lead to an increase, not a decrease in
the tensions and the violence. It's actually unheard of for
units like the National Guard in California and now the
Marines to be deployed without the request of the governor
or the mayor. That's the standard practice. And so by
(12:21):
every measure, the l A Police, the Sheriff's office, the
surrounding municipalities. You know, they should be in charge of
dealing with their own citizens. You know, LA is a
complicated place. It has a lot of history, some good,
some not good. But I think in this particular case,
(12:44):
the law enforcement are the face to the community and
for the community, and to bring in Marines who are
very capable, but not trained for this mission. They're trained
to deal with, you know, guerrilla insurrections or other complicated
missions overseas. So we put them in an impossible situation
(13:07):
when we asked them to come into one of our
big cities, particularly the Marines that are coming from twenty
nine Palms, because that's a training center where you train
the Marines for military combat, not for law enforcement. Police
officers are trained to diffuse situations.
Speaker 12 (13:26):
Not to escalate them. Now to the Assemblyment's key points.
Speaker 11 (13:30):
You know, I know a little about Torrance, California, but
because long before I worked in the Pentagon for President Clinton,
I actually was raised in Torrance, California. So I know
the people. I know the community. It's Hispanic, it's Asian,
it's Caucasian, and everybody gets along with each other.
Speaker 12 (13:54):
So I think.
Speaker 11 (13:55):
We're walking into uncharted territory. You know, this is a
time where the White House this afternoon has put up
all of the fencing for the big parade that's to
occur at the end of the week. It's not lost
on me that the men that were driving the forklifts
and putting up the security fencing were mostly speaking Spanish
(14:17):
with each other. That's the strength of our diversity, back
with each each other.
Speaker 12 (14:23):
And so sometimes you put the accelerator on.
Speaker 11 (14:27):
Right now is a time to break, and that's let
the mayor and the governor be the face of the response,
and then everybody should take a step back and remember
that our Bill of Rights was written because there were things,
there were checks. We did not want a King of
England in the United States. And when you look at
(14:47):
those ten amendments to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights
that we now take for granted, that was exactly what
was intended to countercheck. So it really is a sad
day to see our troops being deployed.
Speaker 13 (15:06):
In this way.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Well, I think one of the things that we need
to recognize here again, when you talk about what a
person's intent is, Donald Trump was not lying when he
said he wanted to be a dictator. He wanted to
be a strong man. He praised He's praised other autocrats,
(15:32):
other dictators as well. And what I hope I hope
with his actions and mag look, they're gone, But I
would hope the ninety million Americans that did not vote,
I would hope independence. I would hope these people are
waking up and rising up and recognizing that these people
(15:53):
do not give a damn about the Constitution. They do
not care about checks and ballacies. They want you to
whatever they want. And there's only one party that is
going to stand up to them, and that is a
democratic party, Donald Trump's party, the Republican Party.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
They are not going.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
To do anything to put this man in check. They
simply are scared to death. They are scared to criticize him.
That Senator Lisa Murkowski talked about death threats, the Republicans
get get so it's real simple.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
You know, they're not going to do anything.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
And this is where the people have to rise up
and yes, take to the streets to say no, this
is not what we are going to tolerate in this country.
I'm gona go to I wanna go to Ruty first.
I'm gonna Ruty first. On that I'm gonna Ruty first,
or that I'm gonna go to Mike.
Speaker 11 (16:53):
Now, uh, you know, the president should be the first
person to try to defuse the current situation and not
to escalate it. And so that's the environment that we
need to step into right now. You know, it's the
irony of the announcement of the Marines moving was made
at four pm here in Washington, so it could lead
(17:14):
the national news tonight. We really do need to change
the storyline on not how do we escalate this, but
how do we turn it over to the local community,
to their leaders and let them solve this.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Well, again, Mike, I have an issue with the local
leader solving this. But what I am saying is this
is not going to end just right here. This Donald
Trump wants to instigate a fight, and the people need
to understand they cannot sit on the sideline watching this
thug do what he is doing.
Speaker 10 (17:54):
I absolutely agree with you, and it's right now. Mexine Congsow.
Maxine Water said at an event that everybody needs to
get in this fight.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
It's not just Latinos African Americans.
Speaker 10 (18:07):
We call on all those whose names have been written
down who's still alive, those who fought alongside Martha King and.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
John Lewis and others in the in you know, in
the sixties and seventies.
Speaker 10 (18:18):
We call upon them right now to stand with us,
even with the young people who's trying to gain their legs,
to get involved in this fight. Because we need everyone
who is able bodies to be part of this fight,
to be part of this narrative. We call upon those
because it's going to call it's going to mean that
all of us in this fight together in order for
us to one to making sure that we are able
(18:39):
to flip the houses in the next year that we
can gain and kind of redo what reverse what has
Donald Trump has been done with these executive orders and
making sure this is Supreme Court most of all the
Supreme Court holds the line to making sure that they
stand up against Donald Trump, because I know that the
(19:00):
governor of City, California, in turn of also our Attorney General,
Rob Bonta, is filing lawsuits against this administration this week
for what they're doing by bringing in the National Guards.
This is our domain and is not the president's domain.
This is setting precedents, and we need to make sure
that we push back in a large way. The state
(19:21):
of California, the legislature has one given the Attorney General
twenty five million dollars to want to make sure that
he is armed with the resources that we need in
order to fight against and file lawsuits against this administration
like we did we was president the first time, and
we're going to stand total toe with him. And again
he's picking these fights and we're going to make sure
(19:42):
that we stand total toe with them.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
We're not going to call down. And again, California is
a donor state.
Speaker 10 (19:49):
We give eighty billion dollars as a donor state.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
And I'm asking because.
Speaker 10 (19:53):
Of all the cuts and all the federal resources he's
cutting away from California, diverting these moneys, clawing moneys back,
that we don't give these money to the federal government
at all, especially what he's doing to us. We should
not be giving these moneys to the federal government at all.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
He is treating he is pissing on California.
Speaker 10 (20:11):
He's picking a fire with California, and I think there's
going to be a fight that we will give him
one back, but one with all of the ammunition he's
coming and the artillery he's coming in to California to
wage war. This is a political war that he's using
the military against California to try to prove some kind
of point. This is wrong because he's hurting Americans, he's
(20:33):
hurting Californias.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
And this should not be done.
Speaker 10 (20:36):
Because if Barack Obama had done this, if Joe Biden
had done this, it will be.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Outpours all over the world the country.
Speaker 10 (20:45):
But because he's doing this with Eli Muss and others,
we should stand up against all of them and call
of what it is.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Oh well, we have conference woman Matteen Warners on the
show last week and she said she absolutely called for
nonviolent resistance to what is going on, and it must
have been it must be constant pressure. The concern, Rudy, though,
is that Donald Trump is so unstable, so unhinged that
people are afraid that he is going to sick law
(21:15):
enforcement on folks if they do protest. But frankly, fear
cannot be the overriding issue here. This is where I
think we'll be assisted about many of our elders. And
I really hope that what has happened in California awakens people,
because we are seeing this all over. Later on this
(21:36):
when I talk to my panel, we're gonna talk about
a Chilean woman who was in New York on vacation
with her child, who cops just arrested her, left the
twelve year old daughter there and then held the one
for eight hours.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
The one was on vacation.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
These people are simply unhinged.
Speaker 12 (21:56):
Rudy, you are you know, you are exactly right.
Speaker 11 (22:02):
Everybody needs to come and vote, and we need to
change the climate. California is one of the great states,
and the notion that a president would, you know, disgrace
it like we have going on right now, just can't stand.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
But I appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yes, Mike, go ahead of this.
Speaker 10 (22:27):
If those ninety million people, if all what has happened
right now doesn't awaken those ninety million people, stayed at home.
I'm not sure what will if they're not convinced that
this administration should not be in the White House, should
not be in power. I'm not sure what will if
they have not seen what has going on on TV
(22:48):
and all across this country.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Just look at what's going on in California.
Speaker 10 (22:51):
I'm not sure what would be enough to convince them
if they have not seen enough bloodshed, you know, all
across this country. You know, just look at California's as
an example. I'm not sure what will. It's too much
at stake for anyone to stay at home in this
next upcoming election next year that we cannot afford to
(23:12):
one have another two more years to allow this man
to stay in power. Enough is enough, and we're calling
on everybody to do everything we can in a peaceful
manner to making sure that we can regain our democracy
back to control America and move it back to what
it once was a sensible country.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
But this is not the America that we know.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Well, Mike, here's the point that I consistently make. This
is the point that I consistently make on this show.
The election twenty twenty six is in November. The reality
is we cannot wait until the election November twenty twenty six.
People must be making their voices now, I believe through
non violent protesting, which is important because they are.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
Also state elections. There are things that needs to be happening.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
But in order for us to get folks there, we
have to inform them, enlighten them, educate them on what
the issues are. And I'll be honest, there were a
lot of people who said, yeah, he's not gonna go
that far. I don't think he's gonna do that. I've
heard this numerous places. Now they are seeing everything Hillary
(24:25):
Clinton said, everything Vice President Kamahana said, everything that we
said about Predict twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
All these things are real.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
And if they've already shown you four and five and
ten and twenty and thirty times, it's going to be more.
And so people didn't understand they are serious about what
they're doing. They're executing the agenda, and only the American people,
if they stand up and rise up, can they stop them.
But if people remain silent and quiet and meek and weak,
(24:57):
then they will be embolden. Gentlemen, I appreciate you having
on today's show. Thank you so very much, folks, We're
going to go to break.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
We come back. I'm gonna talk to my panel about
this yere.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Oh and that was a time when Donald Trump said, oh, no,
I just can't send the National Guardian because I want to.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Hmm, yeah, we have that for you.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
You're watching Roland Martin unfiltered right here on the Blackstar Network.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
Back anymore.
Speaker 8 (25:25):
On the next Get Wealthy with Me Deborah Owens.
Speaker 14 (25:29):
Have you ever had a million dollar idea and wondered
how to bring.
Speaker 8 (25:33):
It to life?
Speaker 15 (25:34):
Well, it's all about turning problems into opportunities. On our
next Get Wealthy, you'll learn of a woman who identified
the overload bag syndrome.
Speaker 16 (25:46):
And now she's taking that money to the bank through
global sales and.
Speaker 8 (25:51):
Major department stores.
Speaker 17 (25:53):
And I was just struggling with two or three bags
on the train, and I looked around on the train
and I said, there are a lot of women that
are carried two or three bags.
Speaker 15 (26:04):
That's right here on Get Wealthy, only on Black Star Network.
Speaker 18 (26:13):
Next on the Black Table with Me Greg Carr an
hour of Living history was doctor Richard Maria Kelsey, thinker, builder,
author and one of the most important and impactful elders
in the African American community. He reflects on his full
and rich life and shares his incomparable wisdom about our past, present,
and future.
Speaker 19 (26:32):
I'm a Virginia's saying that my uncle was Virginia's, my
brother was a genius, my neighbor was a genius. I
think we ought to drill that in ourselves and move
ahead rather than believing.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
That I got it.
Speaker 18 (26:46):
That's next on the Black Table here on the Black
Star Network.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
Hello, I'm Isaac. He's the third founder and CEO of
fan Base. Listen to what I'm about to tell you.
The window to invest in fan Base is closing. We've
raised over ten point six million of our seventeen million
dollar goal. That means there's room for less than six thousand,
three hundred and seventy people to invest in fan Base
for the average amount. The minimum to invest in Fanbase
(27:13):
right now is three hundred and ninety nine dollars. That
makes you an owner in fan Base today. Go to
start engine, dot com slash fan base to invest. Why
because current social apps have taken advantage of users for
far too long, with content suppression, shadow banning, homeful racist
content and no real tools for monetization and equity. Fan
base has over one point four million users in counting,
(27:35):
allowing anyone to reach all their following and monetize their
content from day one. Social media is the new TV,
and whoever owns an app to distribute that content have
the opportunity to own potential billion dollar companies. While big

fan base is stepping up to fill the gap. Don't

Speaker 25 (32:50):
I don't know, but that otherwise.
Speaker 29 (32:52):
They wouldn't have gun.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
One question.
Speaker 30 (32:55):
There's one statement that you call a message that you
can sent to Donald Trump's What is that message here today?
Speaker 31 (33:01):
My message to Donald Trump is you are a cruel
human being and that you're using the poorest people in
the land, the most vulnerable people in the land, to
promote your polity.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
You are wrong. We know what this is all about.
Speaker 29 (33:19):
We have people who are immigrants here who are.
Speaker 25 (33:22):
Trying to seek a better living, who have come from
places where they have experienced this kind.
Speaker 29 (33:28):
Of thing that he's doing here today.
Speaker 25 (33:31):
People who work every day, people who are paying taxes,
who raising their families, who's supporting education. They should not
be treated this way. They should be given an opportunity to.
Speaker 29 (33:42):
Tell their story whom they.
Speaker 25 (33:44):
Are and why they're here, and act the United States
to please do what the Constitution allows us to do,
and that is give them consideration for having citizenships here.
Speaker 32 (33:55):
He's another thing.
Speaker 30 (33:58):
Do you find it coincidental this is happening at this time?
Was the right count anything with the timeline that it's
happening with right now?
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Longsime No.
Speaker 25 (34:08):
I think that the President has not been able to
live up to the threat that he used during his
campaign where he's gonna get millions of them out of here.
And I think it's come to the point where he
thinks he's got to show something. But also his ridiculousness
is taken over the Armed services to celebrate his birthday's
(34:29):
coming up, and people are saying, are you gonna spend
millions of dollars celebrating your birthday using the Armed services
to do it?
Speaker 29 (34:37):
And I think that adds to it. All of this
is coming to the forefront.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
The councilman, how should the city of La in the
state of California react to us?
Speaker 25 (34:47):
All of the elected officials in this city should be
on the street. The mayor should be on the street,
the city council should be on the street. Everybody should
be on the street, all of the state elected officials,
all of us Congress.
Speaker 29 (35:00):
We're supposed to be in Congress tomorrow.
Speaker 25 (35:02):
But I want you to know I'm trying to stop
him from getting richer and richer on crypto. The more
money he has, the more powerful he has, the more
he will elect people. So we got a lot of
work to do.
Speaker 32 (35:13):
And some body's on the street, basically.
Speaker 29 (35:15):
Bodies on the street, people on the street.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Absolutely this one before we let you go.
Speaker 30 (35:19):
Anything that you can say to anybody watching for the
public that wants to come out here or just simply
watching or want to know, anything that you want to
tell him that.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
They should do or shouldn't do.
Speaker 18 (35:30):
Well, here's what I want to support.
Speaker 25 (35:33):
I want to support people having a voice. Peaceful protests
are okay, They're all right. I want them to know
what happened in the civil rights movement, where we got
on the street, where we marched, where we thought, and
we made the government change and we got voting rights
and peacefully.
Speaker 29 (35:52):
And so people can protest peacefully. They should come out and.
Speaker 25 (35:56):
They should have a voice, and they should not allow
the intimidation to force them to do nothing, do something, something,
something that the intimidation.
Speaker 30 (36:09):
If you have anything worse from ris from the near vaxine, WI.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
All right, join me right now on Roland Martin on
filter Teresa Lundy. She is Princeville and founder of TML
Communications out of Philadelphia. Ben Dixon Pasture, political commentator author
joining from Atlanta. Glad to have both being I want
to start with you. I mean, he's a thug. We
know exactly who he is, we know exactly what he
wants to do, we know what he wants to achieve.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
He wants this fight, he.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Wants to pick I'm sorry, Julian Malveaux president, he married,
have been to college author out of DC. She's also
with us. My apologies, folks. This is what he wants.
This is this is this is the fight that he wants.
This is the battle he wants. He is a thug,
and he is behaving like a thug. He's behaving like
a dictator. And that's who Donald Trump is.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
Absolutely you know who and what health is and what
this talk is.
Speaker 28 (37:05):
And they'll play their hands in any ways when they
have shown exactly how we are to come down with
the fangs of factory and put the military out on
the American citizens. They have shown that even in the
slightest pushback, any light elective action against this regime will.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Be met with new books and own that clearly, and
we are at a very decisive moment.
Speaker 33 (37:32):
Are we going to be intent intimidated by this reality
or are.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
We want to stand up to this reality?
Speaker 28 (37:38):
And I really appreciate the conversation we had with previous
guests because it really contextualizes it.
Speaker 32 (37:43):
For black people.
Speaker 28 (37:44):
You know, there are a lot of folks who are
time to tell Black Americans to stay out of this,
that this has nothing to do with us.
Speaker 24 (37:50):
But if you know Donald Trump and you know.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
What MAGA is, you have to understand they.
Speaker 28 (37:54):
Are always looking for an opportunity to use these weapons
against black people. And so if stand down in this
moment because whatever reason it's convinced us what has happened
immigrants is not to us in and of itself, right,
but we would be co signing the very very course,
(38:15):
the very spot that want to be used against us.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
So this moment is very Julian. Again, what we are
looking at is someone who desperately wants to pick the fights.
He he's attacking the government of California. I mean to
(38:40):
sit here and actually say, uh that that that the
governor California should be arrested is just insane.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
Uh. But we also know he's a liar. We know
he just makes stuff up.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
This is Donald Trump a few years ago talking about
the National Guard and the power that a president has,
and boy, it sounds a little different than what's happening today.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Do you have the clip on the control room? Guys,
this is wrong video. Thank you? That's not so okay?
So all right, so the thing all right, now, roll
the clip.
Speaker 34 (39:29):
I promised four years ago at the Democrat at the
Republican Convention, I'm going to restore lawin order, and I
have accepting Democrat run cities.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Look, we have laws. We have to go by the laws.
Speaker 34 (39:42):
We can't move in the National Guard. I can call insurrection,
but there's no reason to ever do that. Even in
a Portland case, we can't call in the National Guard
unless we're requested.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
By a governor.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Julian, did you hear Gavin new Some request the National
Guard to come in.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
I don't think so.
Speaker 35 (40:05):
Did it?
Speaker 36 (40:06):
Karen Bass didn't. The county executive in Los Angeles County didn't.
The fact is that this man has lost his you
know what mind. He has had the temerity to talk
about Joe Biden's acuity when he's shown all lack of acuity.
He talks about law and order. But this is unlawful disorder.
(40:30):
What he has done is really I just feel like
I'm back in the seventies.
Speaker 27 (40:35):
And we're living in a police state. And we're living
in a police state.
Speaker 36 (40:39):
That's what it sounds like. That's what it feels like,
you know. And I, you know, go back and back
in the day Fi Free Huey Rally nineteen sixty nine
in San Francisco. That was my first activism. And I'm
looking at this crap and thinking, this man has lost
his bloody mind. But the fact is that Republican refused
(41:01):
Roland refuse to stand up to him. They are so
coddled that they bid the knee and spread the cheeks
at every opportunity that they have.
Speaker 27 (41:12):
And so here's what we have. We have people who
are this is lawless.
Speaker 36 (41:18):
This nineteen countries rolling, nineteen countries travel bands and where
are you when the travel band occurs? This band is
bloody crazy. But guess what, FAFO. A whole lot of
people voted for this fool. They voted for this fool,
and now they're seeing it. But all of us are
(41:38):
seeing in and I'm just frightened, really frightened, not scarred,
but frightened about what might happen as people are traveling,
as people are moving around, as people are attempting to
live their lives, especially the little ones. When you take
a mom and leave a twelve year old, what are
you saying?
Speaker 27 (41:58):
What are you doing? We have?
Speaker 36 (42:01):
I mean, I'm almost I am apoplectic, but I'm almost speechless, which,
as you know, was not a common situation for me,
because I just I don't get why no one has
stood up. Thank you Maxie Waters for being there, thank
you so many others for being there. But they all
have to be there, and they have to put their
(42:23):
foots down and tell that Mariland Farmer that he needs
to get his act together.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
But you're not going, Teresa. You're not going to have
Republicans stand up. So I mean, so let's just take
that off the board. They're not the Republicans who are
in Congress at a news conference praising Donald Trump and saying, oh,
please do this to restore order in our state. And
they were sitting here. We know they were lying, we
(42:54):
know where they were lying. They're not going to call
the man out, so it ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 37 (43:03):
And then that Republicans are going to call Donald Trump
out for his actions. As long as he's been doing
this the actions, we can't be surprised anymore. So we
really do have to continue to use our voices, vote
to the ballot box, rally protests, galvanized, and do what
(43:25):
we know what works actually in democracy, and hopefully that
those that are voting the seat of the Republican title
that they are understanding that this is not how government works,
and then we're actually willing to make a chance.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Okay, I get us talking about we need to vote.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
I totally understand that, but there's no voting right now.
There's no voting right now, and so the only thing
is going to get these people's attention. If you have
mass action, that's the only thing then we can. Again,
the mid terms is not until November of twenty twenty six,
(44:15):
it's June.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
It's June.
Speaker 38 (44:19):
Americans need to be mobilizing, organizing and mobilizing millions of
numbers to say to this dictator, hell no, and we.
Speaker 24 (44:34):
Need to do it with urgency and efficiency.
Speaker 28 (44:38):
One thing I do realize is more than a lot
of people black people are concerned about this, and I
think that there is a genie concern here. The moment
we get involved, we will see this escalate even further.
But I'm a biical opinion that that's that's what they want,
that's they and we cannot isolate ourselves.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Not really do the Americans need to rally.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Black folks need to run.
Speaker 28 (45:06):
We need to rally with business, We need to rally
with the foresight of agenda of MAGA.
Speaker 4 (45:12):
We need to wait.
Speaker 39 (45:13):
We can't.
Speaker 28 (45:14):
You're absolutely we do not afford to wait until twenty
twenty six because it would be too late. And so
with every protest that we need organizing for voting, every
protest that needs organizing, to the word out in very
structured we cannot leave this up to MAGA.
Speaker 39 (45:32):
We cannot leave this people.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
We have to get involved.
Speaker 33 (45:36):
How we get involved, our prog how we organize, that's
our program. We absolutely cannot sit back with the expectation
that this is going to stay out anyway in the
favor if we're not in there actively is a positive resolution,
and the only way we can activate that right now.
Speaker 39 (45:54):
Is and with our bodies and standing.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Julian, when I when I look at this and when
I think about this here, and when I when I
think about in terms of how how should we respond,
how how should people be operating? I literally do think
about the fact that black people, when protesting to the
(46:26):
Black Freedom Movement, understood that.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Literally their lives are being put on the line.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
And and this is where, this is where. And I'm
gonna go back to all the folks who are out
there post George Floyd's death, where you're at?
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Where'd y'all go? Now?
Speaker 2 (46:47):
I know where black folks are. I'm talking about. This
is this Latinos nationwide? Hello, I mean, you've got the
woman who was what over Latinos for Trump? She I'll
put it in a second. She goes, this is not
what we voted for her.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Yes, it is. This is exactly what you voted for.
And we've told you this was going to happen.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
So to act like this is not gonna happen is insane.
Speaker 36 (47:18):
Well, that would be called Donald Trump insane. The fact
is that if Republicans would grow a pairer. Forgive the
gender analogy, but if they would stand up and talk
about impeachment. I mean, he talked about Biden's acuity always.
Now we all know that there was some challenges with
(47:39):
brother Biden, but this one here has lost his whole
bloody mind. He has lost his whole bloody mind. And
there are Republicans well meeting report who refused to call
him on it. This is again living in a police
state when you say that you can call the national Guard.
(47:59):
The governor doesn't want them, the mayor doesn't want them,
but you want them. If this is part of his
war on blue states and blue cities, part of his
war on sanctuary cities. And people are sitting there like, oh, yeah, okay,
it's all good.
Speaker 27 (48:16):
But it's not all good. And I don't understand.
Speaker 36 (48:19):
I mean, I don't understand why there are not more
people standing up and saying.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Oh, hell no.
Speaker 36 (48:26):
I mean literally, that's what Maxine Waters is doing.
Speaker 27 (48:30):
That's what others are doing.
Speaker 36 (48:32):
He has a temerity to say he's going to arrest
the governor of California, one eighth of the nation's population.
Speaker 27 (48:40):
You go to arrest the governor. I don't think so.
But that's where we are.
Speaker 3 (48:49):
It is where we are.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
But Teresa, again, this is a moment that it's going
to require something of Americas and not just sitting and
commenting on Twitter, commenting on Instagram, commenting on TikTok. This
is where you're going to have to see a mass
(49:12):
resistance against these thugs. This is where you're going to
have to have people in Republican districts say no, this
ain't democracy, this is not what it is. And when
you got this thug throwing him this one hundred million
dollar birthday party to show military might, this is where veterans,
(49:35):
conservative veterans, Republican voting veterans should be standing up saying
this is not how you deploy US marines, not against
American citizens. Teresa, you must be on mute.
Speaker 13 (50:00):
Yeah, can you hear me?
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Yes, now, we can hear you.
Speaker 37 (50:10):
So to address you know, the atonement of AH to
be a an advice of.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
Yes, see right now.
Speaker 37 (50:24):
You know Republicans all have uh.
Speaker 39 (50:31):
I feel like they are.
Speaker 29 (50:35):
But they are you know, doing a.
Speaker 37 (50:41):
Now feeling like you know, ober to their ability. So
there a voice of reason, voices and kind of turns
already are a hundred bus and and not to you know,
(51:06):
also think the the uh continue of promping eli conversation.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
Well type one second type one second were literally the
whole tight one second. We're literally catching every other word
that you are using.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
So we're going to go to a break.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
Uh, I'm going to come back with our panel because
I want.
Speaker 3 (51:28):

does it mean to be a single parent father? Spending
time with your kid, whether it's a son or daughter,
whether you ask for it, plan for it, or by
tragedy or accident, you step into the role.
Speaker 41 (52:46):
I didn't take it as a woe is mean moment
or it was like what am I going to do?
It's like, as a matter of fact, I looked at it,
I rolled up my sleeves, and I said, hey, whatever,
whatever it takes.
Speaker 40 (52:57):
That's all this Week on a Balanced Life with Dr
Jackson here on Black Star Network.
Speaker 18 (53:08):
Next on The Black Table with me Greg Carr an
hour of Living History was doctor Richard Maria Kelsey, thinker, builder, author,

African American community.
Speaker 18 (53:21):
He reflects on his full and rich life and shares
his incomparable wisdom about our past, present and future.
Speaker 19 (53:28):
I'm a Virginia's saying that my uncle was Virginia's, my
brother was a Leegenians, my neighbor was a genius. I
think we ought to drill that in ourselves and move
ahead rather than believing.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
That I got it.
Speaker 18 (53:41):
That's next on the Black Table here on the Black Star.
Speaker 9 (53:44):
Network this week, on the Other Side of Change.
Speaker 42 (53:50):
We are here talking about the unfortunate case of thirty
year old Adrian Smith, who was diagnosed and announced as
braindead at nine weeks pregnant and.
Speaker 9 (53:58):
Is being alive.
Speaker 42 (54:00):
By the state to carry this pregnancy outical term without
any input from her family.
Speaker 27 (54:05):

Sales and major department stores.
Speaker 17 (54:48):
And I was just struggling with two or three bags
on the train, and I looked around on the train
and I said, you know what, there are a lot
of women that are carrying two or three bags.
Speaker 15 (54:59):
That's right here on Get Wealthy only on Blackstar Network.
Speaker 4 (55:07):

about a lot of things, but especially.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
Is there a nothing? Is there another way to experience
Roland Martin than to be unfiltered? Course he's unfiltered. Would
you expect anything less? Why watch? Wat watch what happens next?
Speaker 2 (57:27):
All right, folks, we're gonna come back to the the
uh this story here, But at first I want to
right now to go to kandas Kelly Legal Anlys who
will give us our daily update on what's happening in
the Sean Diddy Coombs federal trial.
Speaker 45 (57:43):
Yes, partments. Actually, I'm hearing a little bit of a
people as we heard an opening apartments. We've heard is
that we would hear from number two, and we heard
that we would hear a lot of promestic style. She's
been on the standpo for days. She goes by a
synonym of Jane. But what we heard today is finally
(58:05):
this idea that there was violence involve. And I say
finally finally is because this is because of what was
promised in opening arguments. You always, as possibility, want to
make sure that what you say in your opening arguments
comes through.
Speaker 39 (58:17):
Now, she testified that she had a fight.
Speaker 45 (58:19):
With Sean Holmes about being with another woman, and that
in that time she pushed his head to encounter and
threw candles at him. She said that there were no bruises,
but certainly this escalated on Sean Full's side, who put
her in a tool fold and said that and then
said that she physically.
Speaker 39 (58:36):
Was pumped by Seawn Holmes.
Speaker 45 (58:38):
After this night, she said that Sean Holmes told her
to put on makeup, just go with the flow an
ecstasy hill because there was going to be another performer
or another entertainer as they say, meaning a big fall
for what she refers to as a hotel. Knight said
that this person was going to come over and that
at this point she says he not in the face
and say is this version? Is this porson?
Speaker 39 (59:01):
Which is very interesting because osion is a weak term.
Speaker 45 (59:05):
But she testified that she eventually did have to set
with someone else while Shawnmes a washed. She also said
that after this physicist brought about ten to Telfound, Thollars
ash to pay.
Speaker 39 (59:17):
This entertainer and damages.
Speaker 45 (59:19):
That took place before and more in her home during
that particular alter ktion.
Speaker 39 (59:25):
Now here's what we know.
Speaker 45 (59:27):
This is a witness that is a corroborating witness about passing.
This comes to life when he tells her story that
Seawn Holmes said that threat to show her sex tape
back in twenty to three of December, threatened to show
sex tape a.
Speaker 39 (59:43):
Huge part of to the father of her baby.
Speaker 45 (59:47):
Now it was at this time that she reaped out
to ak people know her as Tina Karan said that
she will old about all of this and said that
she was just heavily d during the stage where she
did not want the recordings to get out. She also
wrote that she needed time for wing from homes because
she was trying to work through all of the trauma.
(01:00:09):
Now this is important. It's possible.
Speaker 39 (01:00:10):
We were saying that time and time again. She said
she didn't want to be part of the street offs,
but that he continued to coerce her to do so.
Speaker 45 (01:00:19):
She also mentioned that on the day of the arrest,
that she was with him right up until that day,
and that after the raids, Holmes actually hired a lawyer
for her. That is the lawyer that right now he
is still paying for. And I'm sure, as you've already heard,
as many people have heard, he's also still paying ten
thousand dollars her rent right now as we speak.
Speaker 39 (01:00:40):
As she was all the stands today right now.
Speaker 45 (01:00:42):
Every single month for that rent. So it's just an
interesting dynamic to see what all of that means, especially
if he's testifying against you and you're paying all of
these services for that person, she said Cassie's lawsuit.
Speaker 39 (01:00:56):
When Cassi's lawsuit dropped.
Speaker 45 (01:00:58):
She said that it felt like a trigger, like just
exactly what she was experiencing in and that.
Speaker 39 (01:01:04):
He actually fainted when he heard it.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Now.
Speaker 39 (01:01:07):
She also pointed.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Out that Candace hold tight, Candace, hold one second, we're
having folks.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
I need y'all to fix the audio. Candas is coming
in way over modulated.
Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
I've been sending y'all notes, and so we're going to
go to a break. It's very folks should commenting. It's
very difficult to understand with them, to fully understand what
you're saying.
Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
So let's go to a break. Folks, Please, let's get
this fixed. We'll be right back.
Speaker 40 (01:01:39):
This week on a Balance Life, we're talking about single
father parenting. You've got it, faith, family, and fatherhood. What
does it mean to be a single parent?
Speaker 36 (01:01:49):
Father?
Speaker 40 (01:01:50):
Spending time with your kid, whether it's a son or daughter,
whether you ask for it, plan for it, or by
tragedy or accident, you step into the role.
Speaker 24 (01:01:59):
I didn't as a woe is mean moment or like
what am I going to do? Is like? As a
matter of fact, I looked at it.
Speaker 41 (01:02:05):
I rolled up my sleeves and I said, hey, whatever
it takes.
Speaker 40 (01:02:10):
That's all this week on a Balanced Life with Doctor
Jacksie here on black Star Network.
Speaker 9 (01:02:19):
This week, on the Other Side of Change.
Speaker 42 (01:02:21):
We are here talking about the unfortunate case a thirty
year old Adriana Smith who was diagnosed and announced as
brain dead at nine weeks pregnant and is being kept
alive by the state to carry his pregnancy out for
the term without any input from her family. It's a
really horring example of the lack of vely autonomy. We
have in a close row world, and we're going to

dream bigger. Join us on the other side of change,
only on the black Star Network.
Speaker 20 (01:02:53):

Speaker 32 (01:04:03):
Hello.
Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
I'm Isaacas, the third founder and CEO of fan Base.
Listen to what I'm about to tell you. The window
to invest in fan Base is closing. We've raised over
ten point six million of our seventeen million dollar goal.
That means there's room for less than six thousand, three
hundred and seventy people to invest in fan Base for
the average amount. The minimum to invest in fan Base
(01:04:24):
right now is three hundred and ninety nine dollars. That
makes you an owner in fan Base today. Go to
start engine dot com slash fan Base to invest. Why
because current social apps have taken advantage of users for
far too long, with content suppression, shadow banning, homeful racist
content and no real tools for monetization and equity. Fan
base has over one point four million users in counting,
(01:04:47):
allowing anyone to reach all their following and monetize their
content from day one. Social media is the new TV,
and whoever owns an app to distribute that content have
the opportunity to own potential billion dollar companies. While big
platforms with certain futures are failing to serve their users,
fan base is stepping up to fill the gap. Don't
wait until it's too late. Invest now. Invest for yourself
(01:05:10):
and your future. Go to start engine, dot com, slash
fan base, and own the next generation of social media.
Speaker 32 (01:05:23):
I'm Russell o' l Honoree litiend to Gerald, United States
Sorrow retired, and you're watching Rollad Martin.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
I'm feltic, all right, folks.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
So we're having some issues in terms of with our
panelist in the audio. I just wanted to stop it
and so we can get that and we're trying to
figure out if it's internet connection, what's going on. But
earlier today Democratic House Leader ha Kim Jeffries held a
news conference where he talked about the crazy that's happening
at sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue, and.
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
He was he was he was. He was very clear.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
He was very clear in terms of where he stood
with what Donald Trump is doing. So here he is
Democratic Leader Hakim Jeffries's.
Speaker 35 (01:06:16):
kNN everyone, the American people have a constitutional right to
peacefully assemble, to express themselves, and to petition the government
to redress any grievances that they may have.
Speaker 32 (01:06:36):
With policies that will impact their lives.
Speaker 35 (01:06:42):
That's a constitutional right that is contained in the First Amendment.
We encourage everyone who is exercising that right to do
so peacefully in Los Angeles County.
Speaker 32 (01:06:58):
And beyond.
Speaker 35 (01:07:00):
But the right to peacefully assemble to express themselves to
the government in order to bring about change in this
country is a fundamental American principle and we will continue
(01:07:21):
to stand behind it. Thankful for the leadership of Governor
Newsom and Mayor Bass in terms of managing a fragile
situation that Donald Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans are
(01:07:42):
intentionally trying to inflame. They should be ashamed of themselves
and these people have zero credibility, zero credibility On the
other side of the aisle when it comes to issues.
Speaker 32 (01:08:00):
Law and order questions, do you think that.
Speaker 26 (01:08:08):
Some of the images were seen from Los Angeles put
Democrats who are in swing districts in a tough spot
when they might be asked to defend some of these things.
When immigration and fighting back against ICE is not a front.
Speaker 35 (01:08:20):
Center is districts, no one is actually defending any unlawful behavior.
I am defending the right for the American people to
peacefully assemble and will continue to encourage people to exercise
that right peacefully, and if anyone crosses the line, they
(01:08:44):
should be held accountable by the relevant authorities. We will
not be lectured by Donald Trump and anyone in the
Republican Party about issues of law and order, not a
single one of them. Donald Trump promised to lower costs
(01:09:07):
on day one, costs having gone down, they're going up.
Inflation is going up. Donald Trump lied to the American people.
You know what he did do on day one. He
pardoned hundreds of violent felons, criminals who brutally assaulted police
officers and attacked the capital on January sixth. That's what
(01:09:31):
Donald Trump did on day one. The hostages weren't released
on day one like he promised.
Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
He lied.
Speaker 35 (01:09:39):
The war did end in Ukraine on day one. Donald
Trump lied. Cost didn't go down in America. On day
one of Donald Trump's presidency, he lied to you, the
American people. You know what he did on day one,
He pardoned hundreds of violent felons who brutally beat police officers.
Speaker 32 (01:10:01):
That's the insurrection.
Speaker 35 (01:10:04):
And so the notion that Donald Trump and his minions,
his sick offense here in the House of Representatives are
in the Senate who are nothing more than a reckless
rubber stamp for Donald Trump's extreme agenda, are going to
lecture America about issues of law and order, get lost
when not failing you at all, You have zero credibility
(01:10:30):
on this issue.
Speaker 10 (01:10:33):
What would you make of President Trump's comment saying that
it would be a great thing to see Governor gave
Newsom arrested.
Speaker 35 (01:10:40):
Donald Trump is clearly trying to distract from the fact
that he has a failed administration. A failed administration. He
promised to lower costs. He promised to deal with inflation
in America. Costs on going down. Life has become more
expensive the business this environment is shaky. Small businesses are
(01:11:03):
being forced to close, our credit rating.
Speaker 32 (01:11:08):
Has been reduced.
Speaker 35 (01:11:13):
The bond market is reacting adversely to Donald Trump's erratic policies.
Speaker 32 (01:11:20):
The Trump terroriffs are.
Speaker 35 (01:11:23):
Going to result in thousands of dollars of additional expenses
per year on everyday Americans. Donald Trump and the Republicans
are crashing the economy in real time and then driving
us toward a recession. His presidency has been a failure.
And now they're trying to jam this big, ugly bill,
this disgusting abomination down the throat to the American people,
(01:11:47):
a bill that's deeply unpopular with the American people.
Speaker 32 (01:11:50):
And we're just getting started. And then he's in a big.
Speaker 35 (01:11:54):
Fight with Elon Musk, the most personal disputes possible. Is
it any surprise to anyone that he's trying to distract
the country with this erratic and extreme behavior.
Speaker 32 (01:12:11):
No, and we're not going to fall for it, Thank you,
miss a leader.
Speaker 46 (01:12:18):
On Friday, a Districtcord judge in California granted approval for
billions of dollars in retroactive pay for athletes and pave
the way for athletes going forward to get paid for
their name, image, and likeness. This comes ahead of a
House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing this week on this issue.
As a sports fan and this top House democrat, what's
(01:12:39):
your reaction to that rule? And what role does Congress
play going forward and helping shape the landscape now that
this ruling has been granted.
Speaker 35 (01:12:47):
We look forward to our continued conversations with the NCAAA
and the relevant college athletic authorities in order to make
sure that in view of this court decision, that there's
a framework that exists nationally to make sure that there's
a level playing field and that athletes and their families
(01:13:11):
are in a position to benefit and not be exploited
by outside forces that may seek to take advantage of them,
and that at the same time, we can maintain a
competitive landscape across all sports, not simply men's basketball and
men's football.
Speaker 23 (01:13:32):
Thanks Anderson, that Senecocus is seeking an investigation into the
handling of the protests in Los Angeles. What do you
see as avenues for oversight and investigation into that matter.
Speaker 35 (01:13:44):
Well, we'll continue to press Republicans here in the House
to undertake their constitutional responsibility to serve as a check
in balance on an out of controlled executive branch. It
only takes a handful of Republics to actually show some spine,
some backbone, and some courage at what is happening in America.
Speaker 32 (01:14:06):
A clear assault.
Speaker 35 (01:14:09):
On the American way of life, on the rule of law,
and on our democracy, and the American people aren't feeling it.
It's why this guy in the Oval office is the
most unpopular president in the first one hundred days in
American history, claims to have some big mandate, and each
and every day that passes, he becomes more unpopular as
(01:14:32):
the behavior and the corruption and the cruelty and the
chaos becomes more erratic. So we're going to continue to
use every lever available to us as members of Congress,
partnering with our colleagues in state and local governments across
the country, to shine an intense spotlight on the egregious
(01:14:57):
overreach that is taking place by the Trump administration on
a daily basis as it relates to targeting law abiding
immigrant communities as well as dreamers and farm workers and
people who are actually contributing to the communities that they
(01:15:19):
live in on a day to day basis. That's why
you're seeing the American people express their discontent with another
lie that came from the Trump administration. Trump administration said
that they were going to focus on targeting violent felons
(01:15:40):
who should not be in this country and that's something
that we could have agreed with had that been the
effort that was undertaken. Instead, Donald Trump and his administration
are deporting American citizens, children with cancer to countries that
(01:16:03):
they've never lived in before. That's an assault on the
American way of life. It's why this administration is collapsing
in terms of popularity and public approval in real time.
And this reckless bill, this out of control budget, this
(01:16:25):
GLP tax scam, the one big ugly bill, the disgusting
abomination that they're trying to jam down the throat to
the American people. It's not going to make things better
for everyday Americans. It's gonna hurt every day Americans, and
American people are rejecting it because it's designed to help
(01:16:47):
extreme mega Republican billionaire donors. And that's unacceptable, that's unconsonable,
and that's un American.
Speaker 32 (01:16:58):
Second row, thank you, so.
Speaker 47 (01:17:02):
The Department of Homeland Security released some information about some
of the individuals that were apprehended during ICE's braid in
La over the weekend, and some of those people were
previously convicted of murder and sexual battery and cruelty to children,
amongst many other crimes. You say that if they wanted
(01:17:22):
to go after violent people, that's something you could agree on.
Speaker 39 (01:17:25):
So do you support.
Speaker 47 (01:17:27):
ICE detaining illegal immigrants that have criminal histories and backgrounds?
Speaker 35 (01:17:32):
The Department of Homeland Security under the leadership of the
so called Secretary Christynome is a complete and total embarrassment,
and so anything that they put out should be scrutinized
through that lens.
Speaker 6 (01:17:48):
Nonetheless, is that something that you would agree with.
Speaker 35 (01:17:50):
I've made my statement on this issue, and we've been
very clear that the deportation efforts of any administration should
be focused on making communities safe and deporting violent criminals
who are undocumented.
Speaker 22 (01:18:12):
So Elon Musk has gone on his social media network
and appears to be endorsing the Trump administration's response, also
deleting many of the posts from over the weekend, including
the claim that Trump is named in the Epstein files.
Do you think that we could be looking at greater
influence again from Musk over the Trump administration, something that
(01:18:32):
would Warren's congressional scrutiny.
Speaker 32 (01:18:35):
Yeah, it's not clear to me.
Speaker 35 (01:18:36):
At the end of the day, our view of the
whole sordid affair between Trump and Musk is that We're
going to keep the focus on the disgusting abomination that
is the GOP tax scam, the largest cut to healthcare
in American history. Republicans are targeting the healthcare of the
(01:18:57):
American people. More than fifteen million Americans will lose their
health care as a result of the GOP tax scam.
Hospitals will close, nursing homes will shut down, Tens of
millions of Americans will pay increased premiums, copays, and deductibles,
and people will die.
Speaker 32 (01:19:16):
That's a result of the one big, ugly bill.
Speaker 35 (01:19:20):
That's disgusting that this is the Republican agenda. At the
same period of time, they want to enact the largest
cut to supplemental nutritional assistance in American history. Literally, these
extremists are trying to rip food out of the mouths
of children, veterans, and seniors in the United States of America.
(01:19:42):
That's a disgusting abomination, and they're doing all of this
to reward their billionaire donors.
Speaker 32 (01:19:48):
We never said at any point that.
Speaker 35 (01:19:52):
We were going to let our foot off the gas
pedal as it relates to the so called Doge effort
to destroy the American way of life, to target thousands
of veterans who have been fired to take a chainsaw.
Speaker 32 (01:20:09):
To social Security. We disagree with all of that.
Speaker 35 (01:20:12):
Our goal is to take a chainsaw to Project twenty
twenty five, and we're not going to rest until that
gets done, no matter who is standing on the side
of the Trump administration.
Speaker 48 (01:20:28):
Two resolutions condemning the Boulder Attacker coming to the floor
this week. One of them from Connorston Gave Evans includes
language labeling free Palestine and anti Semitic slogan, and also
praising Ice for quote unquote protecting the homeland. I know
that some of your progressive members are very unhappy with
some of that language, wondering a how you plan to
vote on that personally, and be how you're advising members to.
Speaker 49 (01:20:50):
Vote on that.
Speaker 35 (01:20:53):
It's not simply a subset of members of the House
Democratic Caucus who oppose it, the so called Evans resolution.
Speaker 32 (01:21:02):
Who is this guy?
Speaker 35 (01:21:05):
He's not seriously concerned with combating anti Semitism in America.
This is not a serious effort. This guy's gonna be
a one term member of Congress. He's a complete and
total embarrassment. He's not even pretending to be moderated at
this point. He's all in on ripping away healthcare from
the American people, and this is a desperate attempt to distract.
Speaker 32 (01:21:28):
Why do we know that's the case, because.
Speaker 35 (01:21:32):
Every major Jewish organization, including AJC, has come out in opposition.
Speaker 32 (01:21:44):
To the so called Evans resolution.
Speaker 35 (01:21:46):
Every major Jewish organization, as far as I can tell,
these are organizations that are at the forefront of combating
anti Semitism in America. That resolution is an embarrassment. It's
not serious. It's a joke, and Gave Evans is a joke,
(01:22:07):
and he's on his way out.
Speaker 32 (01:22:08):
He's done in November of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 39 (01:22:16):
Leadership whipping again.
Speaker 32 (01:22:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 35 (01:22:20):
We don't normally whip one way or the other as
it relates to resolutions, and so it's not my understanding
that one a decision has been made different than the
approach that we normally take.
Speaker 32 (01:22:29):
I'm gonna know, and everyone.
Speaker 35 (01:22:32):
Will have the ability to make their decision in terms
of what's in the best interest of.
Speaker 32 (01:22:39):
The districts that they represent.
Speaker 35 (01:22:42):
Anti Semitism is a scourge on America shouldn't be weaponized politically.
It's not a democratic issue, an American issue, or a
Republican issue.
Speaker 32 (01:22:53):
It's an American.
Speaker 35 (01:22:54):
Issue, and we should tackle it not as Democrats are Colicans,
but as Americans. So I'm going to stand on the
side of the overwhelming majority of Jewish organizations who have
the credibility on this issue and have concluded this is
not a serious effort to solve what is a serious
(01:23:19):
problem anti Semitism in the United States of America.
Speaker 46 (01:23:25):
Thank you, Lead.
Speaker 22 (01:23:26):
You know, when we talk about the images that are
happening in Los Angeles right now, what is your argument
to the American people that the National Guard is not
needed in this situation.
Speaker 35 (01:23:38):
There are thousands of members of the LAPD and the
Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol.
Speaker 32 (01:23:51):
Who have the capacity, by.
Speaker 35 (01:23:55):
All accounts, according to Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass, to
make sure that the lawlessness and disorder that the Trump
administration is clearly trying to bring about.
Speaker 32 (01:24:13):
By fanning.
Speaker 35 (01:24:16):
Flames and inciting things on the ground in California, that
the state and local officials and these brave, courageous members
of law enforcement, thousands of them who are part of
the LAPD, the LA Sheriff's Department, other local law enforcement,
(01:24:41):
and the California Highway Patrol seem to have the capacity
to make sure that the situation is addressed, that peaceful
protests are allowed to occur, and that law breakers are
held accountable. The Trump administration has zero credibility on this issue. Really,
(01:25:09):
I was here on January sixth. Donald Trump wasn't a
leader on January sixth. He didn't send the National Guard
to stop the violent mob that was brutally beating police
officers in plane view for every single American to see.
Speaker 32 (01:25:29):
And this guy who likely withheld the.
Speaker 35 (01:25:34):
National Guard, he certainly didn't send them. Forward is lecturing
the country about law and order.
Speaker 32 (01:25:41):
And if this.
Speaker 35 (01:25:43):
Wasn't enough of a reason to dismiss his credibility on
any of these issues. On his first day in office,
Donald Trump pardons hundreds of violent felons, some of whom
have gone come back to their communities all across America
and recommitted crimes against everyday Americans.
Speaker 32 (01:26:08):
Give me a break.
Speaker 35 (01:26:11):
When not feeling you, particularly as it relates to this issue.
Donald Trump and all of these minions who support them,
the sick offense, the extremists have zero credibility on this issue.
Republicans have become the party of lawlessness and disorder.
Speaker 1 (01:26:36):
Thank you, mister leader.
Speaker 50 (01:26:37):
You said that you could find common ground on removing
dangerous folins from the country. What other specific provisions do
you and at least some members of your caucus feel
they can find common ground with Republicans when it comes
to potential for bipartisan immigration reform.
Speaker 32 (01:26:52):
Our view on this issue is that we have to
secure the border.
Speaker 35 (01:26:56):
We have a broken immigration system that should be fixed
in a bipartisan and comprehensive way. At the same time,
we need to defend dreamers and farm workers and law
abiding immigrant families. Those are the core principles that could
yield in effort to actually address the things that the
(01:27:19):
American people want to address, as opposed to allowing the
Trump administration to try to distract the American people by
unleashing masked agents. If they were proud of what they
are doing, why are they masked? This isn't the nineteen thirties.
(01:27:40):
Why are they masked? And so their core principles that
are pretty simple secure the border decisively. We supported legislation
that was negotiated. It was the toughest border security bill
to emerge from Congress in modern American history. And Donald
(01:28:04):
Trump killed it. These people have no credibility on.
Speaker 4 (01:28:08):
The issues.
Speaker 32 (01:28:11):
That they claim to stand for.
Speaker 35 (01:28:12):
It's all a distraction because their agenda to try to
rip healthcare away from the American people. They're blowing up
the economy, totally mismanaging it.
Speaker 32 (01:28:24):
The American people know it.
Speaker 35 (01:28:26):
This is why his approval ratings have collapsed in general
and specifically on the economy. And so every chance they
get they try to provoke the American people on this
issue related to immigration. These are people where facts don't matter.
Hypocrisy is not a constraint to their behavior. They say
(01:28:49):
one thing and they do the other. And they actually
believe that shamelessness is a superpower when not falling for it.
Speaker 32 (01:29:00):
Down not ever. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Right now, I want to go live to Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
She of course has been on the streets in Los Angeles.
She has been holding folks accountable, demanding change. Congress Woman,
we had you on the show last week. You talked
about people need to take to the streets. We actually
(01:29:28):
saw that in Los Angeles. Now you have this thug
in chief who is snding in the Marines. What's crazy
is Los Angeles has one of the large largest police
forces in America. You add that with the Los Angeles
County Shares Department, and it's not like they can't handle
these protests. But instead you got Donald Trump, who's itching
(01:29:51):
for a big fight.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
All right, college college woman, can you hear me?
Speaker 8 (01:30:07):
A lot of boys to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
College woman waters rolling Martin, can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (01:30:23):
Okay, let's try to get all right.
Speaker 13 (01:30:25):
So we're gonna do we start to talk.
Speaker 2 (01:30:28):
All right, all right, so let's just do this here.
Speaker 3 (01:30:35):
Uh, We're gonna go to a quick break.
Speaker 11 (01:30:37):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
And then I want to make control room. Make sure
that she can hear me so I can start my questions.
Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
I'll be right back.
Speaker 27 (01:30:47):
This week.
Speaker 40 (01:30:48):
On a Balanced Life, we're talking about single father parenting.
You've got it, faith, family, and fatherhood. What does it
mean to be a single parent?
Speaker 3 (01:30:57):
Father?
Speaker 40 (01:30:58):
Spending time with your kid, whether it's a son or
a daughter, whether you ask for it, plan for it,
or by tragedy or accident, you step into the role.
Speaker 24 (01:31:07):
I didn't take it as a woe is mean moment
or I was like what am I going to do?
Speaker 41 (01:31:11):
Is like, as a matter of fact, I looked at it,
I rolled up my sleeves and I said, hey, whatever
it takes.
Speaker 40 (01:31:18):
That's all this week on a Balanced Life with Doctor
Jackson here on black Star Network.
Speaker 8 (01:31:28):
On the next Get Wealthy with me Deborah Owens.
Speaker 14 (01:31:32):
Have you ever had a million dollar idea and wondered
how to bring it to life?
Speaker 15 (01:31:37):
Well, it's all about turning problems into opportunities.
Speaker 8 (01:31:41):
On our next Get Wealthy, you'll.
Speaker 43 (01:31:44):
Learn of a woman who identified the overload bag syndrome
and now she's taking that money to the bank through global.
Speaker 8 (01:31:53):
Sales and major department stores.
Speaker 17 (01:31:56):
And I was just struggling with two or three bags
on the train, and I looked around on the train
and I said, you know what, there are a lot
of women that have carring two or three bags.
Speaker 15 (01:32:07):
That's right here on Get Wealthy, only on black Star Network.
Speaker 9 (01:32:16):
This week, on the other side of Change, we.
Speaker 42 (01:32:18):
Are here talking about the unfortunate case of thirty year
old Adriana Smith, who was diagnosed and pronounced as braindead
at nine weeks pregnant and is being kept alive by
the state to carry this pregnancy outs for the term
without any input from her family.
Speaker 27 (01:32:33):
It's a really hiring example of the lack of motherly.
Speaker 42 (01:32:36):
Autonomy we have in a close real world and We're
going to dream bigger. Join us on the other side
of change, only on the Black Star Network.
Speaker 18 (01:32:49):
Next on the Black Table with me Greg Carr, an
hour of living history with doctor Richard Maria Kelsey, thinker, builder, author,
and one of the most important and impactful elders in
the African American community. He reflects on his full and
rich life and shares his incomparable wisdom about our past
president and the future.
Speaker 19 (01:33:09):
Genius, saying that my uncle was Virginia's, my brother was
a genius, my neighbor was a genia. I think we
ought to drill that in ourselves and move ahead rather
than believing.
Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
That I got it.
Speaker 18 (01:33:22):
That's next on the Black Table here on the Black
Star Network.
Speaker 27 (01:33:28):
This is a simple of.
Speaker 31 (01:33:29):
Man, and this is David Man, and you're watching rowland
Mark Unfiltered.
Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
All right, So I think we've sorted our audio issues
covers with my Maxine Waters.
Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
Yes, I can hear you now, Yeah, there we.
Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
Go, all right, man.
Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
One of the things that I said is that, first
of all, we had you on the show last week
and you talked about the need for folks to take
to the streets, and we see that happening in Los Angeles.
But what's crazy to me is that the city of
Los Angeles has one of the largest police departments in
the country.
Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
You have the Los Angeles County Shares Department.
Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
It's not like law enforcement there can't deal with this.
And the LAPD has come out and say it.
Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
For the most ports, you've had peaceful protest.
Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
But what we're seeing is that it's federal agents, supposedly
agents ICE agents. We don't know because they're not showing
IDs and are hind in their faces who are instigating
the violence. And so it has to be maddening to
see these out of control so called federal agents causing
(01:34:40):
the mayhem in Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
Okay, Roland, they're still.
Speaker 13 (01:34:48):
I get you. Let me try your question.
Speaker 49 (01:34:59):
First of all, they been along with being in many
of our neighborhood and the arrested one of our leaders.
They worked out and he was later so I went
(01:35:24):
uh and learned about it where he was.
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
I went to.
Speaker 49 (01:35:28):
The There was a peaceful, small protest.
Speaker 13 (01:35:33):
When I got there. After I was a you know about.
Speaker 49 (01:35:41):
Some come from the direction to go into the because
it was a lockdown. He certainly wouldn't have to talk
to about women enrolled and David working.
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
So I followed there.
Speaker 13 (01:36:01):
Yeah, and I asked them if I come in.
Speaker 49 (01:36:05):
Uh, I was a member of Congress and showed him
my jacket with the Congressional sign on it said slammed
the door.
Speaker 13 (01:36:14):
The protests were very.
Speaker 12 (01:36:18):
But the national.
Speaker 49 (01:36:21):
All of the heaven so basically wanted the Protestants who
were on the side walk and made it around for
a while.
Speaker 13 (01:36:34):
We try and.
Speaker 49 (01:36:36):
Find somebody we to tell us about what we would
We worked as members of Congress. We had the people
authority to go to the center un announ and to
put what is going on.
Speaker 13 (01:36:54):
But I denied that. But what we got a law
in several neighborhoods.
Speaker 46 (01:37:02):
They were in Compton, they're.
Speaker 49 (01:37:04):
In black and brown, and Ice was being impressive and
trying to people who were maybe undocumented, and they.
Speaker 24 (01:37:17):
Were several of these communities of time.
Speaker 13 (01:37:22):
I know that they were no they were compting.
Speaker 49 (01:37:29):
And so they were really creating and then that they
have a national part.
Speaker 13 (01:37:41):
But he has been provocable provoke all of.
Speaker 49 (01:37:47):
Our young people, black and brown into a confrontation.
Speaker 39 (01:37:54):
Wanted to have a mar.
Speaker 49 (01:37:56):
He is trying to live up that he made to
the minor cloud that he was going to deport millions
back to their country, and he has not been able
to do that, and so now they've been very but
today he's even to the National Guard.
Speaker 39 (01:38:16):
The Marines are there, uh.
Speaker 49 (01:38:18):
Still say one of our neighbor.
Speaker 13 (01:38:21):
And so he's been provocative.
Speaker 49 (01:38:24):
I believe, as someone said to me, they're even maybe
ancient provocave course that have been provided to try to
make sure that there is uh protests that they claimed
by them. And so, as president is responsible for what
in law we're where city, he doesn't he has before,
(01:38:50):
and so I think he's provoking protest that he could
uh a martial law.
Speaker 13 (01:39:00):
That's what he's.
Speaker 24 (01:39:03):
Cruel because.
Speaker 49 (01:39:07):
That the president of the United States could be creating
this part.
Speaker 13 (01:39:17):
Of confrontation when it certainly was not necessary.
Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
Well, it is certainly a significant drama there. We're going
to continue to watch this play out in h. What's
so unfortunate. We are seeing uh these parents who are
scared to death because of these actions. These people are
literally they literally rated an elementary school graduation. UH that
(01:39:46):
cause parents to begin to flee, uh, stranding kids. Kids
were in shock and in terror.
Speaker 3 (01:39:55):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
And again this is exactly what Donald Trump wanted to create.
He wants, he wants this mayhem. And Republicans they are
satisfied with this. This is what they voted for. H
And the bottom line is the people are going to
have to rise up against these fascists in order to
(01:40:16):
get them to stop the most ridiculous things that we
have seen. And let's keep in mind how many you know,
several million were deported under President Obama, about four point
four million were deported under President Biden. But you never
ever saw this type of mass hysteria as a result
(01:40:38):
of the actions that they had.
Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
But this is what Donald Trump wants.
Speaker 13 (01:40:43):
This is exactly what he wanted. This president as the
worst president.
Speaker 24 (01:40:48):
Of all times.
Speaker 49 (01:40:49):
You know, we'veil with we disagree with us, and we
disagree with them, but we've never seen anything like this
criminal president of the United States, who is provoking out breaks,
who's trying to provoke violence, who is intent on using
(01:41:11):
his extraordinary powers to create martial law and further exacerbate
the problem in doing that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
All right, Consoling Maxine Waters, She'll appreciate it.
Speaker 13 (01:41:24):
Thanks a lot, thank you, thank you very much for
rolling them.
Speaker 2 (01:41:31):
All right, folks, we've been having let's just be straight
audio issues all day.
Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
But the audio issues are.
Speaker 2 (01:41:37):
Being compounded by Internet issues in our control room. I've
literally been communicating with the folks who have been working
on our software there. So here's what I'm gonna do.
I'm going to end the show right now. Bottom line is,
horrible audio is horrible audio. It makes it very difficult
for people to actually listen to the show. It was
(01:41:58):
hard to hear Candice Kelly even our pain hand lists
as they were talking. So what we're going to do
is take the show down ended right now. We're working
with our IT team. We want to have a quality
show every single day. Again, we don't know what the
problem is. There's a new system. Just keep in mind, for.
Speaker 3 (01:42:16):
The longest we've been using Skype.
Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
Microsoft got rid of Skype and folded into Microsoft Teams,
and so we then had a special computer that was
built for us to utilize v mix or a program
called Live on Air, And so clearly there are some
problems with that. So I need this fixed. And so
I'm not going to continue to go on giving you
(01:42:39):
guys a bad show with bad audio where you can't
really understand what people are saying. And so that's what
we're going to do, and so listen, we're gonna close
it out. We're going to see you guys tomorrow right
here and Rollard Martin unfiltered again. I'm communicating with it
people right now. They're going to be coming in tomorrow
(01:42:59):
with our team to go over and get this fixed
because I do not want this craft to happen again.
