(01:31):
How you doing, Hey, I'm doing great show. It's uh
week eleven. That's just amazing to me how quickly it
goes by. And very interesting week. We've had two very
interesting Yeah, certainly a lot of things going on here.
We're getting healthier in a lot of ways, which is
actually kind of nice. It feels like the very beginning

(01:51):
of the season was nothing but injuries. But things are
kind of going better. We're getting some guys back, including
a couple of quarterbacks. So uh, in fact, they're getting
back in the same game. So let's start with that.
One is gonna be taking place today in Indianapolis this afternoon.
It's the Colts at home against the Jacksonville Jaguar. So
you're getting Jacoby Riscent back in this game. But I
can't imagine he's a hundred percent. He's basically going out

(02:14):
there and playing this week because this is a must
win game for the Colts. I think they recognize this.
I'm a little concerned here. Let's start with present and
then we'll go to the other quarterback. You tell me,
does this really help you feel comfortable about guys like
Pascal or the tight ends or is this a spot
where even Jacoby Brissette himself you're a little worried about
running out there because the health is probably not a

(02:35):
hundred percent and maybe there's the risk of him even
coming out in this game. Well, there's always a risk
when you're trying to come back from injury. We've seen
too many players this year trying to come back from injuries,
and of course a lot of them have come back
to early and I've gone right back out and that's
always in case, you know something you have to be
wary of. Look, I don't have him in my top twelve,
so in one quarterback league, I'm not starting two quarterback

(02:59):
league though, I'm gonna throw him out there. He's uh,
he's still a better quarterback than half of the other
guys that are on the field at this point. And
you know, you mentioned the other players. Now, Pascal, he
was stepped up. Okay, the first game back, you know
that he was the main guy and hasn't really done
anything since. Maybe with for setback, maybe that steps up again.

(03:19):
But in all actuality, the only got guys I like
on this indie team are the two tight ends, who
are both I think streaming options at the tight end position.
I think both of these guys will be involved. Debron
has a better chance to score, while Doyle may end
up getting more reception. All right, let's talk about the
other quarterback coming back. Now, we lost him in week one.

(03:40):
He was the big free agent quarterback signing here, Nick
Foles getting eighty million dollars. It's a lot of money,
a lot of money for Nick Foles. But here he
is week eleven, he's back. Garner Minshew takes a back seat. Now,
the question is is Nick Foles going to be fantasy productive?
Do we throw him back out there in those second
quarterback leagues? And what does this mean now for DJ

(04:01):
Shark because DJ has been that guy that has been
Gardner Minshew's favorite target. D D. Westbrook during preseason was
the guy that obviously full seem to favor. So Are
you excited about Westbrook, are you concerned about Shark? And
how do you feel about Foals? Because there's a lot
to break down here with this Jacksonville Jaguars offense now
with Folds returning, and you're right, absolutely a ton here. Uh.

(04:23):
One thing I do know is I think Bournett is
still going to be you know, get a ton of
touches and even targets in this one. I do believe D. D.
Westbrook goes back to being the number one with Folds.
We'll have to see. I do think Chark does take
a little bit of a back seat here, and that's scary.
I think he's a better wide receiver overall than Westbrook.
But you know, we know quarterbacks tend to favor one

(04:44):
guy over another, and he's worked more with Westbrook than
he has with Chark, So it's gonna be interesting to
see how that works out, hopefully. You know, one good
thing about Folds is he's not afraid to throw the
ball downfield, and that's where this offense can really make
use of it. You know, with Shark with commonly, they've
got guys who can get down the field and stretch it,
which opens up the middle A little bit more for

(05:05):
DD Westbrook, for for Net to get those short passing games,
especially over the middle, and make hay out of it.
So you know, there's definitely some fantasy goodness here, but
the wide receiver position is the one that really holds
the most what if fact? All right? What if is
going to befall the Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery.

(05:26):
He did not practice Thursday. He's looking at a game
time decision with this guy in the night game on
Sunday night. I think you gotta go find yourself other alternatives.
David Montgomery has a lot of talent, and David Montgomery's
opportunities have been limited this year. So if you are
waiting for the game time decision, unless you have to
recon also as your other option, I would make sure
you figure out your line up this morning, get it

(05:46):
in there, get your guys playing this afternoon. I would
not be holding my breath from Montgomery considering the questionable tag,
considering game time decision, and considering how they haven't used him,
because if he's not that healthy, it's not like all
of a sudden he's gonna out there and play and
be great. Going for game on decision to being fantasy relevant,
So just make other plans. Also, George Kittle, you gotta
make other plans for him. He is out of this

(06:07):
game against the Cardinals today. Tough matchup last week for
the forty Niners against the Seahawks, and now they have
their first loss of the year. We'll see how they
rebound in this one. Then you got Emmanuel Sanders also questionable.
So what does this do to Deebo Samuel in your opinion?
To me, I want Kittle, I want Sanders all in
the field. If I'm starting Samuel. If you're running Samuel

(06:28):
out there without Kittle and possibly without Sanders, is this
gonna be a good thing or a bad thing for
Deebo Jim? Well, first of all, the one good thing
is I've heard that Sanders is now expected to play, um,
so that's a good thing. And I'm definitely with you.
The one thing if you were running out Samuel's the
one thing you didn't want to happen with Sanders not

(06:49):
to play, because then Deebo is gonna see a hot
piece of Patrick Peterson all day long. At least now
that should fall mostly on Sanders. They could use him
as has a bit of a decoy since he's not,
and I think that opens up a lot for Samuel
that way. If Sanders ends up not playing, then I
definitely do not like Samuel's as much as Alright, some

(07:11):
more guys that are out. Adam Feeling is out for
this game today this afternoon against the Broncos. Marquis Brown
is expected to play. He hasn't been healthy basically all
year long. Damian Williams was supposed to travel with the team.
It seems like he's going to play, So I think
there's been a lot of weird miscommunication about that. If
you go read the original report was basically not whether
or not he was playing, whether or not he was

(07:32):
traveling with the team. So I wouldn't get to bent
out of shape on that one. But if you're concerned,
make proper adjustments. Alshon Jeffrey he is out for this
one even match up against the Patriots. Can we go
back to Damian Williams real quick ahead. This is a
really scary situation. Look, last week, Lashawn McCoy was a
healthy scratch because he fumbled the week before. Well, what

(07:54):
happens last week is that no la Shawn mccawy in
the lineup. But then Damian Williams fump. Now all of
a sudden, we're here and oh he may not travel
with the team. He may travel with the team. We
don't know. Man, don't be surprised if it's McCoy or
or even the rookie that gets more work this week.
Because Williams fumbled last week. That's definitely got to be
a concern at this point. Yeah, certainly there. Look, you

(08:18):
don't have to wait to make these choices. Go get
your lineups going, and we're gonna do all the start
sits on this show. We're gonna have Davis Maddock join
us a little later on the program, get his take
on everything, a little fantasy roundtable. I'm also also I'm
going to talk about Kareem Hunt too, and uh, since
he's been back, how good he's been. There's a lot
to get to. Luckily, we have a whole hour of

(08:38):
fantasy football goodness. So I hope you've settled in here
on the grid with me, Joey p We're gonna hit
a break, we come back. We're gonna talk about some
of those fantasy games that have our attension in terms
of scoring and the players that you want in those lineups.
Because of that, you're watching Root Sperits in the morning.
We'll be right back right after this. Are you ready

(09:45):

That's what we got here. On the show, We're gonna
talk about some of the games right now. Jim Day
and I are gonna break him down the ones that
have our fantasy focus. And before we get to the
big one, everybody wants to talk about lamarch Accent Deshaun Watson.
Let's take a breath. First, let's talk about another one
at one o'clock. Let's talk about the Falcons and the Panthers,

(10:06):
because I think this one is very exciting for a
couple of reasons. I know, the Falcons last week all
of a sudden, played defense a little bit, not a lot,
a little bit. The world has made a ton of mistakes.
I am not buying into the narrative by any stretch
of the means that all of a sudden, the Falcons
defense has resurrected itself and is really really good. They're not.
So that means. First off, let's talk about those Panthers.

(10:27):
Kyle Allen has a chance to be very relevant today
as a second quarterback. McCaffrey's always a fantasy god. We
know that he never comes out of a lineup and
nor should you even consider it, obviously, but your expectations
very high for him today. But I'm also looking at
DJ more today. I have a big focus on him
in the df S show Mike Bluet and I just
did and I want to put that to you, Jim,
because I feel like DJ Moore he's the most underappreciated

(10:50):
fancy asset at wide receiver because he's been so good,
but he only has one test shown on the year.
I think that changes today he gets another one. What
say you about DJ Moore? Is he basically a guy
that does not get enough creditive How good, how steady
he's been in terms of fantasy productivity? Oh, I agree
with you. Look even I was down on him coming
into the season just because I was more worried about Newton.

(11:11):
But even with Kyle Allen under center, d J Moore
continues to play well, especially coming off a great week
last week. Nine catches under twenty yards. That's back to
back Hunter yard performances for him. I think this is
definitely one where he gets another. UM. I will say
this so I know you put down the Falcons defense.
They did play better against the Saints. They forced a

(11:33):
lot of those mistakes, UM. And the thing that changed
for them is that they changed the play caller, and
a lot of times that can make a difference. They
do have some good players on that side of the ball.
I just think the play calling before was very pedantic
and just really didn't seem to stretch that what they
could do. Maybe now we start to see them put

(11:53):
a little bit more pressure on the quarterback and you know,
I know a lot of people are calling for Kyle
Allen to have a great week this week. But you know,
if this Atlanta defense place anywhere like they did last week,
I don't think it's gonna be as easy as people expect. Well,
I just look for Christian McCaffrey to just aid the total.
You know, you throw a couple of balls to McCaffrey,
next thing, you know, it's a hundred yards that gets

(12:14):
padded into those bassing stats. And I think that's what
I'm looking for for him. And on the other side
of this one, to know, Austin Hooper, another tight end,
goes by the wayside. He's gonna be out for at
least a month, So that's not good news. Uh. You've
also got no Davante Freeman, which means Brian Hill is
going to be in there. Very popular Waiver Wire add
this week, and Julio is obviously gonna be Julio. But
I want to talk to you about Hill. Uh. My

(12:35):
expectation for him is pretty much what we saw it
last week, which is a guy that has an all
purpose back, a guy that probably is a double digit
lock in PPR just based on volume, and he has
a little bit of upside, so I'm really comfortable starting
him out there is a flex. Are you feeling as
comfortable as I am with Brian Hill with this matchup? Well,
I do like him as a flex play in this one,

(12:55):
just because caroline Is defense has just been so bad
ins to run. I mean, they've been getting gash like crazy,
especially lately. Um, you know, you had Aaron Jones for
three touchdowns last week. Uh, the week before, you had
Derreck Henley with two touchdowns. Week before that you had
Tevin Coleman with four touchdowns and Monster It with another one.

(13:17):
So they've been giving up a lot of touchdowns lately,
and I think that trend continues and that's where Hill
is going to come into, you know, the big play.
I think I've seen a lot of people talking about, oh,
you know, he's gonna catch a lot of passes. Well,
he only caught the one pass last week, So I'm
not really sure where that's coming from. Everybody all of
a sudden, sudden expecting him to be a pass catching monster.

(13:38):
Of course, if you're playing him in PPR, you want
him to be. But I don't know if we've seen
enough of that yet to think so. I think people
are really high on him, think in some cases a
little too high. Yeah, I can understand where you're coming
from with that too. I think people are looking at
the role Freeman played in that offense and thinking, well,
he'll can kind of fill that same void. Uh, And
in a couple other weeks before last week's game, he

(14:00):
did kind of flash that ability. But you make a
good point. Maybe temper your expectations more reflects than a
RB two in terms of ranking. All right, let's get
to it. Here we go. I made you wait forward
a little bandam, a bit of a tease. That's fine.
So let's talk about the Ravens at home in Baltimore
against the Houston Texans. Now, obviously, Marky's Brown, you're gonna
play him, even though he's been banged up, he was questionable,

(14:22):
He's gonna play in this game. I Andrews never comes
out of the lineup, Ingram never comes out of a
lineup on this other side with the Texans. Look, I
feel like DeShawn Watson is gonna go into Baltimore today
and remind everybody he's part of this m v P race.
And you're gonna say a big day out of Watson.
My question to you is how does this filter down.
Does it filter down to Hopkins automatically or is it

(14:43):
more guys like Fells again getting opportunities to catch some
touchdowns and guys like Carlos Hyde running the football trying
to keep Lamar Jackson off the field. So give me
your fantasy take on this game here that everybody's got
their eyes on this week. Well, it's definitely gonna be interesting.
You've got two of the best young quarterbacks in the
game going up in this one with Jackson and Watson. Um,

(15:03):
you know, Jackson of course, just been making play after
play and playing very well. He's home as well. Um,
you know, their favorite in this one. And it's a
pretty high over hundred. So you know, beg Vegas is
definitely expecting some points to be scored. But you know it,
it really comes down to, like you said, you want
Hollywood Brown in your lineup. Look, I'm not sure I'm

(15:25):
all that ready to just throw him out there. The
kid has been struggling with injury all year long. I'm
sure he's one big play away from putting up good
fantasy points, But I just don't know if I'm buying
into it. It It really has to come down to what
my other options are. I'm not just gonna slap him
in there because he's in there playing. They didn't even
know till this morning whether or not he was going
to play, and that's a scary proposition for me. He

(15:48):
could go in there easily and play, you know, five
snaps and be done for the day. So it does
come down to what your other options are. But let's
let's face it. I mean, the one thing Lamar Jackson
is absolutely doing is getting these tight ends involved. Mark
Andrews with another big game, Nick Boyle's getting more involved
in the best in game, so he's definitely getting these
guys involved heavily. Outside of that, it's really a crap

(16:09):
shoot who gets involved. Ingram is definitely tailed off a
lot of after a very hot start as we see
Jackson doing more and more of the running and stealing
some of those rushing touchdowns from Ingram. But I think
this is a week where Ingram gets in the end
zone and could put can put up some decent fantasy points.
Well here's my take with Brown is you mentioned it,

(16:31):
he only has to catch a ball or two to
be really fantasy relevant. But you have to pay attention
to what the rest of your lineup looks like. If
the rest of your lineup is a lot of hit
and miss kind of guys, like if you have Stefan
Diggs in your lineup, I don't think Hollywood Brown is
a good start for you. I think you're looking for
somebody else there with a higher UH floor that you
can count on. Because God forbid both those guys tap out,

(16:51):
you're gonna get a big l handed to you this week.
So to me, Brown is all about what kind of
roster construction you have in your league. Just be careful.
I think you can start him. I think he's a
wide receiver three or a flex because of the explosiveness.
But at the same time, it's volatility, and if you
have too much volatility in that lineup, I don't think
it's gonna play. Let's go out to the next one here.
Stafford's out for this one again with the Lions. That

(17:14):
means Driscoll will play against the Cowboys. They are in Detroit,
Cowboys coming off a bad loss. Now, the question is,
we don't really worry about the Cowboys. We all know
Ezekiel Elliot will bounce back. We're starting all those guys.
Gallup ELO's guys aren't questions. But last week Driscoll was
okay against the Bears and actually made Kenny Golladay relevance.
So real quick, Jim, tell me, are you okay with

(17:34):
Jones and Golliday in this one as well? After which
is all last week from Driscoll. Drisco played better than
a lot of people expected. I got that, But you know,
it's not like the Bears have been the defense we've
seen even as earlier last year. This year, they just
haven't been the same as we've used to seeing from them.

(17:55):
But I think this week it's gonna be a little
tougher him. Dallas is like you said, coming off a
had loss. Uh, they definitely gotta be a little p
o from that one. I know they're going into Detroit
and this one, but I think they know they have
to come away with a win, and I think they're
gonna be all on top of it. Their number five
in the league against the posing quarterbacks, number two against
opposing wide receivers, So you know, I mean, I understand

(18:18):
that more likely. There's no way you sit Holiday, But
I don't love him his chances today and Marvin Jones
is Marvin Jones. I mean he no matter what matchup
he has, sometimes he just goes out there and has
a big game. And he's done that a couple of
times to Dallas in the past, so it's gonna be
interesting to see if you can do it again. All right,
We've also got the Saints and Bucks, Pats and Eagles,

(18:40):
Chiefs and Chargers. Those are three games that have a
lot of fansy implications. So we're gonna get to all
those two in that game. Like I mentioned, with the Eagles,
no Jordan Howard, no Alshon Jeffrey. Yeah, it looked great
in theory at Miles Sanders is the only guy, But
I don't know if you want to be the only
guy with the Patriots defense, uh, staring at you coming
off a bye and an L It's not exact where

(19:00):
you want to begin things. And that Saints Bucks games
certainly as a high total as well. We're gonna talk
about some more of those points when we come back.
Davis Maddock, Mr. Roto Export himself is gonna join us
for the Fantasy roundtable. Think of us as nights with
our swords, a fantasy knowledge helping you so We're gonna
come back in a second, and then we do, We're

And that person that always joins us is Mr Rotal
Expert himself. He's the Sir Lancelot, I would say of
this Fantasy roundtable. He's Davis Maddock. Davis, Welcome to week Levin.

(21:12):
How are you, my friend. I'm doing I'm doing great.
This is a you know, a great day. We were
already debating cheap running backs. We got you know, Miles
Sanders and Brian Hill basically waging war for our fantasy
affections right now, so you know, just already very excited
to see the outcome of that situation. Look at you,
the hair pulled back to day to you, very slick.

(21:35):
It's got like a cool gangster look kind of feel.
I'm very jealous of this. You know this, Davis. You
know I'm jealous of the hair that in the fact
that you have options. I'm out, I'm out of options.
But some people are out of running back options. So
let's talk about some of these and uh, you know,
we kind of talked at the break and I'll loop
this in with the next group here that Uh, Jordan
Howard out of this game, Miles Sanders, Darius Geiss is

(21:57):
back on the field this week. Uh, you got j d. Mckiss, like,
you got a lot of these guys that less than
thrilling in terms of matchups. Potentially maybe you like some
of the talent of these guys, but we haven't seen. So, Davis,
what do you take about Darius? Guys, so you wait
and see guy. Uh are you a desperation start guy?
Would you start him over? Say David Montgomery this week?
Who is out? Well, what's your take on guys? And

(22:19):
then we'll go through Sanders with Jim No, I I
would not guys to me is really not attractive. So
earlier in the season. Adrian Peterson was a healthy and
active for Washington in that first game, and then guys
got injured, and Adrian Peterson has just been their lead back.
And I do not think that Adrian Peterson is going
to go from getting eight percent of the team's carries

(22:40):
to getting zero percent of the team's carries. And even
if they did, Adrian Peterson with all those carries was
barely like a running back three in fantasy. And I
think Dwayne Haskins has a ton of room left to grow.
And that's just a very nice way of saying I
think he sucks right now. So I think Guys is
in a time share and a bad offense with a
bad quarterback. So you know, I'm not interested. Like, for example,

(23:02):
this week, I would start j D mckissic over Darius Guys.
I agree, I'm right there with you. I was heart
McKissick to Drisco was good enough. You imagine you're playing
from behind, so McKissick can catch the football. Uh Jim.
With this news that Jordan Howard's out, I know Miles Sanders,
the guy that we like at times. In fact, if
Jordan Howard was playing, actually think Miles Sanders was a
nice little flex play, but now he's kind of the

(23:23):
last man standing. I know they just signed J J.
I E. I don't think we should get too excited
about that. But what you're taking on this Eagles backfield,
with this Pat's defense in front of him on Sunday,
say away, stay far, far away, as far away as
you can get. I'm not really enamored with any of
these guys, but I just since he just came to

(23:44):
the team, won't get much, but he could easily be
the guy that they pop in into goal line and
could score one or even two touchdowns if that's all
he has to do. Uh Sanders, I mean he needs
a couple of big plays to do anything against his
defense because he's not going to be any kind of
consistent in it all. So I really don't love these
running backs in this situation. Uh. You know, if they

(24:06):
weren't going against some Patriots, I might give him a
little better shot. But I guess this Patriots defense right now,
I can't trust any of these guys. All right. Obviously,
tight end has been a struggle. Let's just say the
struggle is real. If you drafted tight end early, I
don't even know how happy you are with that. Kelsey
has been okay, it's been good. I don't know if
he's been second round good. Um Kittle out this week?

(24:29):
Another tight end falls by the wayside. Zach Ertz has
been good, not great also, and then you've got you
know that there's been guys like Andrews and Hooper. Now
Hooper's out, And I guess the question for you, and
we'll start with you, Jim on this one. Where are
we going for these other tight ends? Because are we
looking now to guys like Kyle Rudolph, Are you looking
to young kids like Noah Fanse? Are you looking at
Fells and just trying to play the touchdown upside game?

(24:51):
What's the best advice you can do in terms of
streaming or just picking up a guy if you lost Hooper?
Where do you go a tight end from here? Jim, Well,
you mentioned that you're all the guys you're talking about
are guys that you know they need that touchdown to
get any relevance. Rudolph is definitely up there, but you
know he does. He has been getting a couple of
touchdowns recently. But Eric Smith is still all seeing the

(25:12):
field more getting more opportunities, So that scares me. It
puts him into a little bit more of a play
for me in PPR leagues and even Rudolph, But you know,
for me first, if I'm looking to stream right now,
it's still got to be the Indianapolis Colts tight ends.
I think both of these guys are streamable this week.
I haven't both inside my top ten for the week.

(25:33):
Just it doesn't take much to get into a top
ten and tight end. Uh, you know, you get one time. Um,
you know, I feel like that's it. Yeah, if you're alive,
you're practically a tight end one at this point, Davis,
do you favor one of these guys? I know what
we've seen out of No A Fanto a little bit.
I know, you know, people have mixed opinions on him,

(25:53):
but Kyle Rudolph seems to make the most sense to
me of the guy that I would want to plug
and play right away because he's familiar in the offense.
Adam Delon's out good matchup this week you look ahead,
probably some good matchups there as well, especially as we
kind of go into the second half of the year.
I think Rudolph's the guy who do you think is
that tight end you can plug and play for a
couple of weeks. Well, this is a This is a
situation very near and dear to my heart because Austin

(26:15):
Hooper and George Kittle were the two tight ends that
I drafted the most heading into this year. So I'm
really scrambling for tight ends this week. And uh I
I do kind of like Rudolph. But the situation I
found myself in is a lot of people just got
frustrated with Eric Ebron and dropped him, and I have
him ranked as a top ten tight end this week.
I think that with t Y Hilton out and with
their ground game, you know, just kind of struggling over

(26:37):
the last month, I think Eric Ebron could pretty reasonably
see like eight targets in this game against Jacksonville. So
for me, Eric Ebron is is kind of a plug
and play and and and it will remain that way
until t Y Hilton returns. By the way, Davis Maddock
joining us from the matrix, it looks like with that
background today, I just want to know which pill did

(26:57):
you take? The blue or the red? I'm just want
to figure out which one to take. Let's let's figure
out David Johnson, because that's another situation that certainly begs
him discussion. David Johnson last week did not look good.
He looked like a guy who's back was absolutely killing him.
He couldn't turn the corner, He had no percy, had nothing.
We all know. Kenyan Drake last time out against the
fort Ninders came out of nowhere, had that huge game,

(27:18):
the most improbable game you could possibly imagine. Right, and
now we're in that situation again, Davis, what do you
do with David Johnson rest of the year, and more importantly,
probably what's your take on him going forward and keeper
in Dynasty leagues? Because I'm looking at this as a
stock that it's hard to imagine it getting better next
year somewhere else. Now, maybe it does, I don't know
what the chances of that are. Are you willing to

(27:40):
sell low on him just to get out from under
Davis or do you think that there could be potential
bounce back in for him? No, I actually think he's
a great bye in Dynasty. I think that he probably
has a few years left of being good, and he's
just hurt right now and he's playing because his team
traded for Kenyan Drake and because Jay Edmonds is, you know,

(28:00):
kind of barking at his heels. But David Johnson, I
think when he gets a full off season to train,
get healthy, you know, kind of he's got like four
or five nagging things he's dealing with right now. I
do think he'll be fine next year. So you know,
if you could get him for like a rookie second
round pick right now in a dynasty league, I I
think that's kind of a slam dunk, and he might
even be better somewhere else. You know, it could be

(28:21):
a Levy on Bell situation where someone tries to trade
for him, someone tries to give him a bunch of money,
and you know he might land in a situation where
he doesn't have any competition. Yeah, all right, let's I
think you make a really good points there, and certainly
the concern I think becomes, Yeah, he's hurt right now,
but he's been hurt a lot in the last couple
of years. So Jim Day, do you feel the same way.

(28:42):
Is he a really good by low where we're at
right now in keeper dynasty or there are too many injuries?
Are the myriad of injury starting to pile up? With
DJ where you probably want out and you want to
go with a younger guy. I'm with David's on this one.
I'm still going out and get David Johnson. He's trying
to play her and he's trying to play through it.
It's not working out for him. But it's just you know,

(29:04):
preak injuries. It's not like this has been a recurring
same injury over and over that he's really dealing with.
You know, even a couple of years ago when he
missed the season. I mean, it was just a freak injury.
It happens the running backs. The kid is still a
good running back. I know they got Drake there. Edmonds
is of course out this week, but they have him
there as well. But I still think David Johnson is

(29:24):
the best of the lot when he's fully healthy. I
just don't know if I can trust him this week.
After everything that happened last week and the week before,
we just don't know what to expect that him. And
then we heard during the week that Drake was taking
the practice reps ahead of him with the number ones,
and that's scary in its own right, So obviously they
don't feel he's either. I think Drake is the better

(29:47):
play this week, but I still want to go out
and get David Johnson, and if I could, can Drake
have a good game twice against the four Niners? Jim
Um he could. It was all he's involved in the
passing game, and they can continue to move him around.
He could, but I think it's definitely gonna be a
concerted effort by San Francisco to make sure it doesn't

(30:08):
happen again, especially after he embarrassed him last time. All Right,
we got a couple of seconds left here, real quick, Davis.
Bruce Arians was very positive about Ronald Jones last week.
Ronald Jones started to get the ball in receptions or
to do a lot more all purpose work. Looked really
good than he fumbled. He's come out in confidence this
week with him. Do you have confidence in Ronald Jones

(30:30):
having a good game against the Saints this week? Davis, absolutely,
I do. I think Ronald Jones has always been the
most talented running back in that backfield, and now we've
actually seen demonstrable evidence of him being the best running
back there, and Bruce Arians has said he's the starting
running back. Jones scored the rushing touchdown. I know Barbara

(30:50):
came in later in that game and scored a rushing
touchdown as well. But yeah, I mean, if you have
Ronald Jones, he is a very startable running back to
for the rest of the season. For me, yeah, I
agree with you. He has definitely shown he is the
best guy there. Uh. Davis as always great stuff from you.

got going on here. We got some fun football talk.
So Jim, it's time for starting sit which I know
is your favorite part of the program. We're gonna get

(33:43):
to some of these guys. Obviously, Stafford is out, So
if you're in a two QB league and you're desperate,
let's say you we're a Stafford owner, would you roll
out drist Well today? As your second quarterback? Yes or no?
Um no, I'm gonna sing all right, yeah, I just
hap him outside of my top twenty four. I don't

(34:05):
trust him in this matchup against Dallas at all. I
think Dallas is gonna have a pretty easy job is
shut him down. All right, Let's go to Kyle Allen.
Then a spot where you were kind of lukewarm on
Kyle Allen, But in a super flex league as your
QB two, is he a guy that is a an
easy start this week? I say yes. I think it's

(34:25):
a good matchup. I know they had some moments last week.
But if it's anything we've learned in the NFL in
it's just because the team looks good one week, it
doesn't mean it looks good two weeks in a row.
So I'll start Kyle Allen. Will you start him as
a QB two? I would. I would start him as
a QB two. I haven't made seventeen for the week,
so um in a two four super flex excellent? Okay,

(34:47):
QB one. This is a little tricky here. Kyler Murray
good fantasy quarterback, but tough match up here against the
fourty nine ers who may want to take it out
on Kyler Murray, Poor Kyler Murray. Uh do you think
you would start him as a QB one this week?
I would I have been number twelve. I take that
chance that a kid has been playing much better football

(35:08):
of late. And I know it's a tough matchup, and
like I said, San Francisco's gonna want to take it
out on somebody. But I just think he's playing at
a high enough level now that he can still put
up good fantasy points. All right, here's a question for you.
Who are the guys at thirteen and fourteen after him?
I'm in your rankings. I'm curious, Uh, Kirk Cousins and
Jared Goff and think that's fair? No, I I like

(35:33):
it's a tough week from some of the quarterback matchups
to uh what about desperation plays here at QB two?
Would you stream any of these guys? Ryan Finley, Ryan Fitzpatrick,
basically anyone named Ryan or Mitch Drabiskie, any of those
three guys float your boat. All three of them would
be in and the two Quarterback or super Flex League
is my number two. I have them all inside the

(35:54):
top twenty four, but just inside the top twenty four.
Did how many feelings about Ryan Finley last week when
you saw him? Um? Just I mean it seems like
Joe Mixing touched the ball a lot, which is great,
But do you think the move to Ryan Finley was
the right move for the Bengals out of what you
saw last week? Just to see what the kid is,
especially when it looks like they're gonna have possibly the

(36:15):
number one overall pick next year in the draft, Well
it is. They had to see what they have in
this kid and what he's capable of doing. At this point.
You know, you know what you have in Dalton, a
decent quarterback, but no one who's ever gonna make you
win anything on his own. So they had to see
what they what they have in this kid and whether
or not they have to go out looking for a
quarterback next year. And unfortunately, that quarterback everybody's not going

(36:38):
to be looking forward now is to Ah after that
gruesome injury he had, which really sucks. And you know,
again this is everybody coming out of woodwork. Oh that's
why you should have come out last year and you
had You know, you can't predict these things, but it
sure sucks for him. Yeah, that's a bunch of nonsense,
you know, and the kid wanted to play football. He
had missed a week. You wanted to go play and
get some more reps in his football. Injuries happen. It's

(37:00):
an unfortunate injury for sure. As long as two I
think can prove that he's healthy enough to go out
there in February and March hopefully and throw the football
and prove the teams he's healthy enough to do that.
Hopefully he can. I still think teams will take a
good look at him against very early and all that.
But if you missed it yesterday, one of the consensus
number one, number one overall picks to uh Taga Loyola

(37:22):
was actually knocked out of that game with a hip injury. Uh.
Not a good look. Obviously, got carded off, went right
into surgery for the dislocated hip and possible fracture. So injuries.
Twelve months recovery time for this injury. Wow, Well, you
know what if it takes twelve months, then that could

(37:42):
potentially knock him out of certainly the top ten. I
wonder if teams would on the back end of the
top ten take a shot on him and wait on
him a year to see, it's a huge gamble. But
it's not a running back position. It's a quarterback. Uh,
it's it's a tough one. It's certainly tough. Look how
long it took Teddy Bridgewater to come back from the
broken leg. All right, let's go back to the thing
backs here. I talked about David Montgomery. Let's get Jim's

(38:03):
take about that. I say, no, don't start him, go
out there, get somebody else. What say you about David Montgomery?
Is he a sit for you as well? Oh? You
have to. You're talking about a game time decision on
a Sunday night game, So you're not gonna know until
an hour and a half before game time whether or
not he plays unless somebody gets d info today and
shares it with us, you know, like Adam Chef would

(38:24):
nice take a little bit of that unknowing this out.
But as of right now, unless you have somebody else
going either in Sunday night football or night or somebody
else on the bench that you could go, uh, then yeah,
he's a really tough play this week, especially you know,
against a good matchup with the Ramps. I mean, that's
definitely not walk in the park. Rams the number twelve

(38:46):
against opposing running backs have been playing a little better
of late that way. Philip Lindsay is a guy that's
had a pretty good season. I think a lot of
people who are down on Lindsay coming into the year.
I'm down on him in this matchup against the Vikings,
Mike things have been very good lately, good against the run.
That building is really tough to play in. I know
Brandan Allen was okay in that first matchup, but I'm

(39:08):
a little less excited about him and this one for sure,
and I wasn't excited last time out. So Philip Lindsay
would just sit him or even Royce Freeman, both those
guys sits or do you play them just because you're
desperate and you might not have a choice this week?
I say you look for other options if you have them.
What say you, Jim Day? I think both of these
guys are in play because I think they're gonna need
to get these guys involved in this game plan. Uh,

(39:30):
first of all, to try and keep the Minnesota offense
off the field, UM and try and create some kind
of game pressure in which they're trying to control the clock.
And that's gonna have to come through the running game.
It's definitely not gonna come through the pass. It is
a tough matchup, absolutely, but Lindsay should get enough carries
in this one, enough play where I have him as

(39:50):
a running back too, and I have Freeman as a
flex option. He just because I think he's gonna, you know,
get five six targets in this game and make enough
out of that to get you to double digit. It
is a tough matchup, no doubt, but they're gonna have
to get these guys involved if they want to try
and keep this game anywhere near close. All right, David Johnson,

(40:11):
are you sitting him? I don't care if he's active
or not. I'm sitting him until I see something better.
I just can't run him out there. What do you think, Jim,
I'm I'm with you. Um. We just have no idea
what to expect from David Johnson at this point, and
I you know, at this point, I'm gonna sit him
on my bench. If he goes out there and has
a great game, I'll live with it because then I
know I can use him next week going forward. But

(40:32):
after what we saw last week and even the week before,
we're just nothing out of him and no, you know,
no real discourse from the team about why. Um, it's
obvious that he is still hurting and I'm not ready
to take that chance on him just yet. Draco'll be
fine and I'm pretty sure they'll use him a lot. Right. Uh,
let's talk about some of the Patriots running backs here.

(40:54):
Who do you prefer in this one? You're obviously gonna
start both of them. But do you think it's gonna
be the Patriots are up and then Sony Michelle kind
of get some some love there, touchdown, maybe runs out
the clock a little bit. Or do you think it's
a James White because they're going to be very aggressive
in the passing game in this one. I'll take James
White just because he's steady, he's efficient. You know, you know,

(41:14):
pretty much guaranteed you're gonna get double digit points out
of him. He doesn't have a high ceiling, but he
definitely has a high floor. So I'll take that Sony Michelle.
I mean, you just never know what's gonna happen with
Sony Michelle. Uh. You know they got Brandon Bolden there
and Rex birkheads back. It's just I man, I have
such a hard time with any other running back on

(41:35):
that team except James White, just because we know what
he's gonna do. The rest of him we have no clue.
All right, let's uh, let's move on. Actually, know what
one more running back, Alexander Maison. Is there enough for
Cook and Mathison today? We've seen that sometimes? Is he
in play as a flex play this week? Would say
maybe over a guy like Royce Freeman? Would you go
that route? Based on perhaps game script? I think there

(41:59):
is a shot for Madison, and a matter of fact,
I have to start him in a couple of my leagues,
so I'm definitely rolling them out there. I do expect
Minnesota to get out on on top of this game,
and in in that course, I think eventually we do
see Madison coming out in the field and getting some
playing time. And he's shown us that even you know,
in his limited playing time, he could still put up

(42:20):
a good Fantasy points. So I definitely take a shot
on him. I like Freeman too, but they're right around
the same place for me right in those early mid thirties.
All right, Let's move on to wide receiver here. Jim
Hunter Renfroz, a guy that's really trending upward. I think
it took obviously a couple of weeks for him to
get comfortable in the offense. Now he looks real comfortable

(42:40):
and he looks like a very productive guy as a
wide receiver. Three fleck somewhere around there. In the full point,
PPR has got a great match up against the Bengals today.
I'm starting them all over the place. How about you, Jim,
You're starting Hunter renfro Uh. Well, again, it really does
come down to what my owder options are. Uh. You know,
he looked good at those two weeks where he had
to touch down with them. Last week against the Charges,

(43:01):
which was a tough matchup. He had four or forty
two which wasn't bad against them against the Charges. And
you're right, the Bengals are definitely a nice matchup for
him today. They should get him involved. But you know,
as long as Ty Williams is healthy and Darren Waller
is healthy, he's gonna be struggling to you know, see
more than those four or five targets. Alright, Either or

(43:24):
you gotta pick one. Would you rather start Sammy Watkins
this week or Mike Williams this week? Again? The Sunday
night game, we got the Rams and the Bears, Or
would you rather go to that Mexico City game Monday
night with Sammy Watkins who has been okay, but certainly
it was everything's failed in comparison to uh what he
did week one? So Walkins or Williams? Who would you rather? Oh, man, Um,

(43:49):
I think I'm gonna go with Walkins. That's why get
the big guess. Yeah, I'm gonna go with Watkins just
because he has the better upside, the better offense that's
playing better right now. You know, my Williams is not
getting it done. He gets those weeks where you know,
if he gets that touchdown, it gets that opportunity, but
he hasn't been getting those, and that's the problem. We

(44:09):
can't count on the fact over the last two weeks
he's only had six targets in both teams combined, and
that just doesn't get it done for me. I know
Watkins has been down since Week one, but my homes
is back, he looks healthy. There's still some ambiguity in
the running game at this point, with Damian Williams having
fumbled last week, so I don't know what's gonna happen there.

(44:30):
I think Watkins is in play with this one as
as much. I just think he has a better chance
to score. All right, let's do a little three in
out here before we leave, and again when we're done,
stick around because pro football today with Mike Blewett's gonna
start and all his friends, so he'll take you right
up until game time with all the other things going on.
But let's do three and out. These are the three

(44:50):
things that we're looking for this Sunday in the NFL,
and I'll start here with how San Francisco responds to
their first loss of the year. Will they crumble up
and die or will they respond despite all the injuries
and put a whooping on the Cardinals? They probably will.
Certainly a good time to be playing the Cardinals. Jim,
what do you have your eye on this Sunday in
the NFL Week eleven. We've talked about it a lot, though,

(45:11):
but I do want to see how the Zona splits
the carriages between Drake and David Johnson. Look, I owned
David Johnson in a lot of places, so I'm really
hoping he can bounce back, even if it's only a
fifty fifties split this week. But he's able to do
something that will make me feel better, so I won't
really want to see David Johnson try to bounce back.
I'm not starting this week. I just want to see
how well he can do Alright, Last, but not least,

(45:35):
it's the game that everybody wants to see. It's Lamar
versus Deshaun Watson, two great young quarterbacks in the league
squaring off. Both are in that m v P race.
This one's in Baltimore. We'll see what happens here. I
think the Texans are gonna be real competitive in this one,
and I think they have a chance to really steal
a win here. I know Baltimore just beat the Bats
a couple of weeks ago, but I think Deshaun Wantson

(45:56):
is gonna make a statement. I'm gonna like the Texans,
especially with the four and this one too. So that'll
do it for us. And I want to thank Jim Day,
Davis Maddock, and everybody here for making the show possible.
Stick around here and stay on the grid for Mike
Blewett and Pro Football Today coming up next. That'll do
it for me. Joey P We'll see you next time. Kids.
