(00:27):
were now teamed in to the Roto Experts. Hey, yo,
what's up everybody. It's me Joey p Joe Pizza Pia
and welcome to Roto Experts in the Morning, live from
the Vanduels Sports Book Here at the Glorious meadow Lands, where, apparently,
after I watched The Irishman, Jimmy Hoffa is not buried here. Apparently,

(00:49):
that's not I always thought that was the case, But
I did watch The Irishman this weekend like so many
people did, and uh, Jimmy Hoffa not buried buried here
under the meadow Lands. So I guess that legend is
not true after all. But we've got a couple of
legends joining us today. Davis Maddock's gonna join us in
a little bit, plus Jim Day and as always you
can see us on sports grid dot com, Get on

(01:10):
the Grid. You can watch us on Zumo TV channel
seven one no and Pluto TV five one seven, and
of course you can watch us live on sports grid
dot com on YouTube. My goodness, Really, if you're not
watching us at this point, I'm just wondering why. I mean,
we are basically everywhere and we're making that playoff push.
We are right here. It's week thirteen, so we are

(01:31):
just a week away from the Fantasy playoffs. I know
everyone here is very excited, and I know you are too,
So it's time to get everything right. We have our
starts and sits later in the show. These are the
most important starts and sits all year, because this is
gonna make or break a lot of teams in Week
thirteen of the NFL. And it's not sim Sunday without
Jim Day. So Jim the Fantasy Taz, How are you,

(01:52):
my friend? Are you ready to get people into the playoffs?
Absolutely ready? I'm ready to get myself into the playoffs.
But let's take a few other but with us. Yes,
let's take everyone with us. Let's get the whole gang there,
and let's start with some fantasy headlines here and uh,
the first one is this running back situation with the
Seattle Seahawks. Now, last week obviously were shot, Penny had
himself a game. Some more questions about Chris Carson. So

(02:15):
here's the latest here. Uh, Schottenheimer says, Chris is our guy.
That's what they're talking about. We know that, but we're
going to try to work everybody in. So now it
feels like a committee. Now we're up against the Vikings,
who have a very good, uh run defense. So I'm
gonna ask you, if you picked up Penny off the
waiver wire, or if you're a Chris Carson owner, how

(02:36):
do you react to this news? Are you playing Penny
no matter what? Are you sitting him and just waiting
to see what's going on here? If you're a Chris
Carson owner, are you looking for other options? Tell me,
Jim Day, where are you at with the Seattle backfield. Look,
I'm still gonna go with Carson. He's their guy. They've
been saying it all year. I know it didn't work
out last week. I do think they try to go

(02:57):
back to him this week. You know, the second fumble,
the first fumble definitely on Carson. Second fumble not so much.
It looked like there was just a miscommunication in that
play totally. I think everybody's blowing that out of proportion.
But I do think Carson gets the first chance again.
And you know, he has been their most solid runner
all year. That was the first time Penny has looked

(03:19):
good basically since he's got there. So it's definitely a
concern for me that everybody's jumping on Penny right away
because of last week. You know, it could be a
one week operation, folks. So right now I still have
Carson higher. All right, we got some returns to Jim
because we've got Andy Dalton back to play the Jets today.

(03:40):
So the Bengals had their little moment. They got to
know Ryan Finley, see what he is, because after all,
they are going to have their pick of the litter
because they're so awful this year, and it looks like
they're gonna have a chance of the new franchise quarterback
and that guy's not Ryan Finley. So they're gonna go
back to uh Andy Dalton today in this one. Now,
Andy Dalton, I think we all know from a two
QB leae perspective, it's not the worst match up here

(04:01):
today for him. Andy Dalton is also going to be
auditioning basically for other teams because he's probably gonna be
somewhere else next year too, So keep an eye on that.
If you're desperate for a second quarterback and someone dropped him,
he might be somebody that you can stash there or
play this weekend stream against the Jets. Also, Kyler Murray
was questionable with the hamstring. He is going to play today,
so that's good news for Kyle Murray owners. Tyreek Hill

(04:24):
also going to play. But Damian Williams is out in
that Chief's game. So with Damian Williams out, how are
we just back to Lashawn McCoy wagon again here or
is it just it doesn't matter because all the Chiefs
are going to do is just throw the football all
day long on the Raiders. Jim, what do you think
about that? Well, Look, the big problem here for me

(04:44):
is when I'm looking at the weather for this Chiefs game,
we're looking at sustained winds of nineteen and twenty miles
per hour. Now, we know Mahomes has a strong arm,
but even with that kind of strong arm in those
kind of wins, makes it really tough to go down field,
so I think we see a lot of short passes today.
I think that plays well for both Williams and McCoy.

(05:06):
But I still have McCoy higher over Williams, but it's
gonna be a very close I think, if not fifty
fifty split, I think sixty in favor of McCoy. So
I think both are decent plays in this game. If
those winds are as high as they expect, and uh,
you know that's how I played. I just I don't
usually like to worry about wind, but once you get

(05:27):
over fifteen miles per hour, it can definitely start to
affect long term, longer passings. Alright, some more news to
get to here. Juju Smith Schuster officially ruled out for
Week thirteen with the knee. James Conner or doubtful as well,
so he's not gonna play, which means he's gonna get
Bennie Snell. So I think from the workload standpoint, Betty
Snell is definitely a flexiblay. You can throw them out there,

(05:48):
Jim and I'll talk about him a little later in
the program. Golden Tate officially ruled out with the concussion,
so that means Darius Slayton probably also upgraded. Uh in
your lineups as well if you use floating out there
a waiver wire which he shouldn't have been, picked him
up and stream him this week and Giants will be
playing from behind the Eagles. Al Sean Jeffrey was not
listed on the injury port. I know it's crazy, but

(06:10):
he wasn't, so he is actually gonna play in this one.
Jordan Howard, though, will not, so you can see some
more j A. G I in this game today, and
you're also probably going to see a fair amount of
Miles Sanders as well. UH. We mentioned earlier to UM
we were talking about some of the zach Ertz situation
with DFS today and it's looking like zach Ertz is
gonna try to power through. We'll have more updates as

(06:32):
the morning goes on here in Pro Football today with
Mike Blewett and all his friends. But I'll tell you
what it looks like. Dallas Goddard is probably gonna be
the guy you want, though even if Earth's is on
the field, that does not look like a great situation.
Adam Feeling is questionable against the Seattle Seahawks, so keep
that in mind too. We've been waiting for weeks now
for Adam want to come back, uh, and has not

(06:52):
been a good scenario there for him. But on the
defensive side of the football, Derwin James is back after
missing significant chunk of season there with injury, and we
have also got a debut. We got Drew Luck. So
Drew Luck is going to be playing quarterback for the
Denver Broncos today. Thirty seconds Jim your take on locks
first start against the Chargers at home in Denver. Oh, yeah,

(07:14):
I'm not really loving this. We look, we we don't
know what he's capable of really at this level yet.
But coming into the season, you know, out of the draft,
he was definitely supposed to be a project, somebody that
would take a little while to get going. Unfortunately, they
don't have the time they got to throw him in there,
so we'll have to see what he can do. But

(07:34):
I'm not expecting a ton from true Luck because I
just there's a lot to his game I don't like,
and that's has me worried. We've seen, you know, after
David Blouse performance on Thursday. Look, you know, we also
know defenses don't have a lot of um you know,
a lot of tape to go off of here on
Drew locks, so they can't really prepare a lot for him,

(07:56):
so he could surprise. I just don't expect that. There's
too much of his game. I just don't trust. Well,
we didn't trust Blow and he looked okay for the
first half, and Brandon Allen nobody trusted. So maybe the
first shot out of the gate is the best one.
Maybe that's the one where you have your best opportunity.
We'll talk about some of the weapons that he's got
and how that starts going to affect those. But we're

(08:17):
just getting started here on Roado Experts in the morning,
So when Jim and I come back, we're gonna break
down the fantasy games of the day, the ones that
have the most implications to your lineups and the biggest
totals as well. We'll do the Fantasy roundtable and a
whole lot more because we are live on the grid,
so or get on the grid with me, and the
Road to Experts will be back in a little bit.

here talking fantasy football with you and Jim Day the
Fantasy Taz. You can follow us on the Twitter machine
at Fantasy Tazz and of course at Joe piz Ps seventeen.
I'm a fun follow. That's uh, That's what I've been told.
Did you know that? Guys? You know I'm a fun follow?
You don't. They don't care, the guys, they don't care

(09:41):
at all. They're completely wrapped up. I don't know what
they're playing over. There's some kind of game. I don't know. Anyway,
we're back here playing little fantasy football game here. They'd
like to follow you. Yeah, you know, that could be it.
That could be it. That's very possible. But anyway, let's
talk about some of the marquee matchups and fantasy and
let's start with the forty Niners and the Ravens, because

(10:01):
this is the one we're all looking for. I know
the term Super Bowl preview gets a little overdone and whatnot,
but it really could potentially be that. So what happens
when a big time defense matches up with a quarterback
having a transformative, unbelievable season and Lamar Jackson basically is
doing that. I mean we have backed back years now
with Mahomes and now Lamar Jackson, who are showing you

(10:23):
that this young crop of quarterbacks is ready to take
the mantle from the Drew Brees and Tom Brady's of
the world. So uh, I know my take on this one,
which is I've watched the forty Niners this year to
know that Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson, those are kind
of quarterbacks with that aggressive pass rush, they are able
to kind of make that move to get out of

(10:44):
the pocket and make things happen. And that's basically playing
into the hand of Lamar Jackson. So I think Lamar
is in line for a pretty good game today, as
he always is. I think this home crowd is gonna
be really hyped up here. I'm curious, Jim, do you
think that the forty Niners defense can up the menace
the m v P that is Lamar Jackson at this point? Oh,
I don't think they can. Absolutely. I'm with you. These

(11:07):
quarterbacks that know how to, you know, move around in
the pocket and then get out when they need to
get out, they definitely can hurt a fast pass rush
and that's exactly what we're seeing from San fran And
you know, it will be an interesting game because we
have the number one total offense in in the NFL
with the Ravens at four thirty three point three yards
per game, going against the number one total defense and

(11:29):
that's the forty Niners who have only allowed two forty
eight yards per game. Something's got to give. We're gonna
find out today if the forty Niners are for real
or not. We know that, you know, the Ravens are
for real. They've done it against top talent. They've knocked
out top talent already, and it's gonna be you know,
ken San Francisco keep up with this team, and I

(11:51):
just don't think they can. I think right now, the
Ravens are rolling over everybody and it's gonna be that
again today against these forty Niners defense. Yeah, I I agree.
I mean, you're never taking answers out of your line up.
Hollywood's always one of these guys that we talk about,
do you want to play him? Do you want to
sit them? But we'll get to him a little later
on the program. What do you think about the forty

(12:11):
Niners offense against this Ravens defense has played much better
since Marcus Peters came to town all of a sudden,
he shut down everybody on the side there that's allowed
that pass for us to be more aggressive. So do
you feel like it's all hands on deck, everything's fine
with the debos of the world and the Emmanuel Sanders
and kiddles, or you a little concerned with Jimmy g
and company, especially with Brita out again and this one

(12:32):
that they are maybe a little bit banged up. But
on top of that, traveling on the road to a
tough place to play against a defense that has played
very well in the last six weeks. Oh, absolutely, it's
this is gonna be a tough game for the forty
Niners offense. First of all, Sanders. You know, with Kiddle
on on the field, debot active has has outside of
that first week has really dropped off a ton since then.

(12:54):
He hasn't been a hundred percent and that hurts Um. Kiddle,
we know is in a hundred percent but played well
last week. But like you said, this Ravens defense, while
they've been pretty strong all year, they've been very good
the last month. Over the last five weeks. You know,
their number two against the quarterback, number seven against the
running back, number eight against wide receivers, and number seven

(13:15):
against tight ends uh in fantasy points allowed. So they
are playing really well right now and they're in Baltimore.
So that's definitely not another sign that helped San Francisco. Again,
this is really gonna you know, this is the game
that San Francisco has to prove the people that they
are for real. This is it. This is the one
game that's gonna set them aside and say, look, we

(13:37):
are not the frauds that some people think we are.
We can come out and play with the big boys,
or they can't, and we're gonna find that out today.
This this is absolutely my favorite game on the entire
slate this weekend. Oh It's gonna be fun to watch,
that's for sure. And I'll tell you what. The first
test I think they had with Seattle and they failed it.
Now they failed in overtime, but that was in their building.

(13:58):
I think it's gonna be a tough thing to go
on the road. Speaking of going on the road, the
Patriots are going on the road on Sunday Night Football
to take on the Texans. Lots of implications for this
one as well, especially if the Ravens win. The Patriots
have to continue to win order to maintain their home
field advantage throughout the playoffs that they're set up for.
Right now, that Patriots offense has not been running well.
We started to see a little Nikila Harry last week.
That's a positive we're starting. It's difficult to gage them

(14:20):
off that last game they played against the Cowboys because
the weather was so atrocious. But Bill Belichick has never
lost to Bill O'Brien. I don't think that's going to
change in this game on Sunday Night. So do you
think that the Patriots offense starts to open things up
a little bit here with the rest of what they
have left here in the absence of the Gronks and
Antonio Browns of the world. Hopefully a little bit more
time to get healthy here. What are your thoughts on

(14:42):
the Patriots offense tonight against the Texans. Look, I think
what we're gonna see from the Patriots is they're gonna
do just enough to win. That's what we've been seeing
for the last month. They do just enough to win.
Their offense isn't clicking the way we're expected to click.
Brady isn't playing the way we ex spect Brady to play.
But we were saying these all the same exact things

(15:04):
last year at this time of the year, when Brady
wasn't playing well, the offense was just barely eking by. Look,
this defense is so good that they keep them in
every game anyway, So as long as they continue to
do that, Brady and company will do just enough to win.
Do I expect big points in this game? No, I don't.
I just don't. I'd be surprised if this is a

(15:25):
high scoring game. Uh, at least, you know, the Texans
have a good offense, but they're going against a tough defense,
and Watson has been hasn't been playing as good as
we expected. And you know, it's gonna be a tough game.
Right now, the over under has at forty six and
a half, and I kind of like the under in
this one. I think that there's a chance it could
be just another low scoring game like seventeam or even

(15:49):
possibly less than that, and I think the under is
a good bet in this game. What are your thoughts
on Hopkins in this game too? Because Gilmore has been
so good this year, and uh, look, it's not like
you could Hopkins into your lineup, but we always talk
about you always run their studs out there no matter what.
That's why you drafted them the first and second third round.
But what are you gonna do for the rest of
your lineup? Thinking that probably Hopkins is going to be

(16:12):
more on the disappointing and potentially you're looking for a
little bit more boom. Who are those guys that you
think have more boom? Is it a Sammy Watkins per
se or somebody else that you have in mind that
you could put in a lineup that has Hopkins in it,
that you think maybe just maybe we catch lightning in
a bottle here week thir team, Well, yeah, you definitely
have to be looking for that. I mean, I don't
love Hopkins in this game, no doubt. Um, you know,
there's there's a good question in the chat room and

(16:35):
on the site that's you know, asking for good wide receivers,
including Cooper Cup. Now we know Jared Goff hasn't been
playing well, but just should be the game he can
get right because Arizona's defense is one of the worst
in the league. So I like, you know, Cup over Hopkins.
I like quite a few guys over Hopkins this week.
I'm just not loving him in that matchup. But we

(16:56):
know that all he needs is one or two big
plays that get you there, you know, And we could
be looking at a line like Gola Day had on Thursday.
You didn't catch a lot of passes called four passes,
but right over a hundred yards and had to touch down,
and that could easily be Hopkins. All he needs is
one big play to put you there. And that's why
you never take them out. And that's why you never

(17:17):
ever take him out. Yeah, that's that's why you always
play yourself no matter what. Absolutely, Bucks and Jacks, this
one has got a ton of points on it, uh,
and it should because we're talking about Nick Foles got
a pretty good his arm there in terms of throwing
the ball downfield, Terrible past defense for the Tampa Bay Bucks,
and a very aggressive pass attack for the Bucks. So

(17:38):
it's all hands on deck here. Is this one gonna
live up to the hype? I say yes, And I
actually think this is going to be a fun fantasy
game in terms of totals, in terms of guys slinging
the football around. And I'm not worried at all about
for Nett and this matchup, this whole thing with the
Bucks against the run. I know they're ranked really high.
That's because nobody. Nobody runs on them because you can
throw on them all day. Real quick, what are your thoughts?

(18:00):
Bucks Jacks today? Bucks Jacks are gonna be an interesting game,
no doubt. For some reason, Tampa Bay secondary played well
last week and you know, really shut down Atlanta. I'm
not exactly sure how that happened or why it happened.
Julio wasn't right after the injury. We saw that, but
still this passing offense, you know, Atlanta's passing offense should

(18:22):
have been able to do something and they just couldn't
get it done. Jacksonville didn't play well last week on offense.
This should be the game that Nick Boles gets right again.
The Bucks are thirty second in the league on the
season against opposing wide receivers, thirty first against opposing quarterbacks.
This should be the week Nick Boles gets right. Yeah,

(18:43):
and we're always getting it done here. We come back,
We're gonna get it done with our good pal Davis Maddick,
Mr Rotal Experts. So stick around. The Fantasy Round Table
is gonna be here when we get back, and we're
gonna talk about the biggest questions of your Sunday Week thirteen.
We'll be right back right after this on the grade.

where millionaires are made. Welcome back, everybody, roto Experts in
the morning where fantasy football championships are made. And it's
that time again. It's time to make the table round.
This is kind of round. It's it kind of stops here.
It started off round and then somebody just gave up
and that It's like that person in your league who

(20:28):
drafts and then they put a line up in for
the first couple of weeks of the season and they went, nah,
you know, I don't want to play fantasy football. Anymore.
That's the same thing. The construction of this table is
the same. They stopped on the ends, but that's okay
because we never stop here. Davis Maddocks joining us. Davis,
how are you are you all full from Thanksgiving? My friend? Oh?
I I think I'm still full of Joe. I I
think that three days on now, I'm still working through

(20:52):
the massive coma that I put myself in from Thanksgiving.
Did you get your green bean casserole? I know that's
what you were looking for. Got the green bean casserole.
Grandma had it made pie, got got everything that. It
really was the day we dreamed of. I like the
peacan pie. I don't know, you know, some people don't
like that. Give me the peacon and the chocolate peacon.

(21:13):
Give me that. The fact hid in me makes that
very very excited about the pecan pie. All right, let's
talk about some of these deals going on here with
fantasy football, because he got a lot to get to here.
We talked earlier about Drew Lock getting the first start today,
and it seems like just yesterday we were talking about
Brandon Allen getting a start and Driskle. Lots of quarterbacks
here making debut so now Lock is the latest one

(21:35):
to do. So I'm looking back and to me, I'm
looking at Philip Lindsay to really step up here in
this void here help support the young kid Freeman bounce
back as well. Are you concerned with Sutton, Freeman and
Lindsay with this change over at quarterback or do you
think that, like we've seen the trend here, Davis, that
whenever you have this rookie quarterback making a debut, everybody

(21:57):
kind of steps up and that first game is actually
much better than we expect. I'm not concerned about Sutton
at all. Sutton has basically the best and most stable
target volume of any non super elite wide receiver in
the NFL this season. This is actually true. He's had
in between six and nine targets in every single game
that the Broncos have played this year. So I'm not
worried about Sutton. The guys I would be more worried

(22:20):
about would be Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. In the
sense that Joe Flacco was throwing a lot to the
running backs and then Brandon Allen did not at all.
The running backs went from a twenty percent target chair
and that offense to a nine percent target chair and
I would think that Drew lock would be playing more
like Brandon Allen than he would be Joe Flacco. So
Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman's fantasy value is gonna be

(22:42):
It's just gonna be all tied up in touchdowns, and
I don't know if those are gonna be there today
against the Chargers. All right, Jim, let's talk about this
Andy Dalton return. So the red rifle returns just in
time for Christmas? So will he shoot his eye out
and make Joe Mixon kind of useless? Or do you
think at this is a good situation here for the

(23:02):
likes of Tyler Boyd and the rest of the weapons here.
Getting Andy Dalton obviously is an upgrade Jim, But is
it a downgrade for Joe Mixon because mixing has been
better lately since Andy Dalton has not been around. I
don't know if you want to make that equation or not,
or if it's just a coincidence. So where do you
stand with Andy Dalton and the impact of his return? Well,
I do think it absolutely is a positive for the

(23:25):
running game, I mean for the passing game. I'm sorry, um,
no doubt, There's no doubt about it. He did upgrades
all of the receivers. But you're right, when Dalton was
in early in the season, mixings touches were way down.
As soon as Dalton was taken out, mixings numbers went
up and his number of touches went up and he
played much better. So that definitely has me concerned. Plus,

(23:47):
you're talking about going up against a defense that is
playing very well right now in the Jets. Over the
last five weeks, the Jets are number one against the
running back position. They've been number ten all seasons, so
they've been playing good all season, but they've really stepped
it up of late, and I think that's going to
even make it harder for Mixing. Uh So, I definitely
have a little bit of an issue with Mixing going.

(24:08):
But I do like boyd, I like do like Autumn Tap. Heck,
I even like Ericson a little bit more in this one.
How about you, Davis, do you get concerned? Do you
just think it's maybe just bad play calling early on
for six weeks or so with Dalton, where they weren't
getting mixing enough carries there, and now they found a
little bit more balanced potentially between Mixing and the passing game.
Even with Andy Dalton returning. Do you think that this

(24:31):
kind of brings Mixing back or is that really have
they discovered in the last couple of weeks. Hey, you
know what, We're a better offense when Joe Mixon touching
the football. Davis, I actually think Andy Dalton being back
is it's probably neutral for Mixing because the team is
going to be on the field way more. They're gonna
be able to gain more yards and score more points
with Andy Dalton versus Ryan Finley. Uh. The issue is is, yeah,

(24:54):
they were one of the most past heavy teams in
the NFL in uh score score neutral situation with Andy
Dalton and the quarterback, and then when they got behind,
they just went you know, pure pure air raid basically,
and you know they're probably gonna be behind in this game.
The Jets are a better team than the Bengals. The
Bengals are winless. So if mix And doesn't score in
this game, I do think that he probably is gonna

(25:16):
have a tough day at the office. All Right, Rams
and Packers, those are two teams that certainly need to
bounce back. Now on paper, you would think, wow, these
are two matchups where a bounce back would be easy. Now,
I definitely buy you into the Packers bouncing back here
against the Giants. To me, the Giants are not a
good football team. I think we all realized that, especially

(25:36):
on the defensive side of the ball. It's nice to
see Daniel Jones kind of learning on the job, and
I do think next year there's gonna be some positives
takeaway no golden tating this one. Sai Kwon Barkley hasn't
looked like se Kwan Jim day. Let's start with you
Packers and Rams. Which one do you like to bounce
back today the most? Are you with me in Green Bay?
Or do you actually think maybe both? I think both

(25:58):
have a chance. There's no doubt about it. Um Rams
have a touch of tougher matchup because Kyler Murray is
playing so well, but you do have that hamstring. That's
a little bit of a concern. He's gonna play um
and that's good, but you know, when it comes to hamstrings,
you just don't know what's gonna happen. So that bothers
me a little bit. So I do expect the Rams
to bounce back. Hopefully we get Jared Goff of old

(26:19):
and not Jared Golf of recent in this one. But yeah,
the Packers as well, going up against the Giants defenses. Yeah,
this should be the game Aaron Rodgers gets right. If
he doesn't get right in this game, there's some huge
problems in Green Bay because everybody can throw against the
Giants and that should absolutely come into play this week.

(26:41):
So I think both of these teams have a good
chance to bounce back. Both of these quarterbacks have a
good chance to bounce back in this game. All right,
how about you, Davis? Do you think that after the
Rams got absolutely embarrassed on Monday Night by the Ravens
that they can actually bounce back in this one against Arizona?
Or is this shaping up to be a season where
it just feels like the Rams or not who we

(27:02):
thought they were, or that Super Bowl hangover and the
Todd Gurley injury, everything is just kind of become a
perfect storm where they just really can't even get out
of their own way. The defense hasn't played well, the
offensive line hasn't played well, But can they do enough?
You're on the road to get you excited as a
fantasy owner. Where Golf has struggled on the road, Davis,
they might be able to win this game. I don't
think it's going to be particularly pretty. Uh. The Arizona

(27:25):
Cardinals are like, from a talent level, they are much
worse than the Rams, but they are better. Coach Clip
Kingsbury has just called better plays on offense this year
than Sean McVeigh, and the Arizona Cardinals have a huge
advantage at quarterback. You know, Kyler Murray seems like already
like he's probably one of the ten or so best
quarterbacks in the NFL. And I don't know if You'ared
Goff would rank inside the top twenty of NFL quarterbacks

(27:48):
right now if you were, if you were just picking
them for a game or even for a season. Really so, uh,
I you know, I still like Robert Woods in this game.
I still like Cooper Cup. I think Brandon Cooks is
kind of a you know, a low end flex play. Obviously,
if you have Girly, you're starting him. But you know,
I'm not mega excited about any of these guys alright,
So we've had one good game from Nick Foles on

(28:10):
their turn, one bad game from Nick Foles. If he
should play poorly against Tampa, which on paper certainly looks
like it should be an easy one. Do you think
at all that they would go back to Gardner Minshew?
I'll start with you Davis on this one. Do you
think that there's any chance if Fols go out goes
out there today and performs a subpar that they would

(28:30):
consider going back to Minshew next week? I definitely think
they would. I think that it is possible that they
would go back to him. The issue is, of course
going to be the money. So Nick Foles is going
to have to be really bad, like we're talking like
probably uh, you know, multiple interceptions, you know, three four,
five interceptions, probably one going for a pick six. Like

(28:50):
he has to be like viscerally bad for them to
go back to Minshew. I think the most likely scenario
is that they let Fowls play out the rest of
this year and then figure out the on track situation
for next year, and Minshew starts the years the quarterback
in All right, let's talk a little bit about those
Seattle Seahawks weapons. Jim, where are we at now with
the Seahawks? They had acquired Josh Gordon. Now we're in

(29:13):
that that mix at running back here. We kind of
talked about earlier, but the wide receivers have been a
bit of an enigma. I think all year Russell Wilson
has played well, Hollis has been good. But where are
you at right now? Real quick? Give me thirty seconds
on the Seattle attack, specifically the wide receivers, which our
confidence level is in any of them because d K
keeps dropping balls everywhere. Yeah, K keeps dropping balls, but

(29:35):
you know Russell keeps going back to him, which is
a good sign. So you know, hopefully that trend stops.
But I do like mccalf and this one. Look, the
Vikings defense is not the Vikings defensive of old, at
least not in the secondary. Uh their number twenty eight
against opposing wide receivers all season. I like them. I
like Lockett, even though he's coming off that abysmal game
last week. He got into practice this week, not a

(29:57):
full practice, which still scares me a little a bit.
But he's got that big play potential in this game,
so at home in Seattle, I think I have to
go with Lockett. I like mccalf Gordon, I just don't
know if he's anything more than a chain mover at
this point going for those first downs. I don't think
he does more than that yet. Alright, a real quick, Davis,

(30:18):
Marlon Mack looks like he's gonna be back in Week
four teen, that's next week, first week of the playoffs.
Do you think you have concerns about him coming back
to a committee here or is it Marlon Max's job
and he goes back to being the number one guy
right off the bat. I think that Jonathan Williams performance
to day against the Titans is really going to dictate
that if Jonathan Williams rips off another hundred yard games

(30:38):
scores again, I do think that there is a real
concern that Marlon Mack would at least have to give,
you know, five to eight carries a game to Jonathan Williams.
And the interesting thing is before he got hurt, he
was in a game where both of them were sharing
and looking really good, both one over a hundred yards.
That does not happen every day. As always, you can

Uh here road experts in the morning, as you are
looking at the week before your fantasy playoffs starting, so
a lot of you are trying to win, to get in,
trying to get those point totals up, maybe get that
last spot in your league's playoffs. So Jim Day, let's

(32:49):
start them and sit them. Let's start with the QB ones,
So single quarterback league, Carson Wentz against the Miami Dolphins.
Great matchup on paper wide receivers of not play well.
Carson Wentz to struggle at times, to put it mildly,
or Nick Foles. Who would you go with Nick Foles
with the matchup or Carson Wentz with the matchup, both
guys probably in play at QB one. Who would you rather?

(33:14):
I'm gonna go with foals? Uh, you know, just against
Tampa Bay again, we talked about it. For some reason
last week Atlanta couldn't get going. This is gonna be
a game. Nick Foles has to get back and get
right after last week he's got the tools to do it.
Against his defense, He's got you know, guys that can
get down the field and Chris Connelly and DJ Shark
and you know d V Westbrook underneath, and of course

(33:36):
you know they're using for net great in the passing
game as well. So I have to say I like
Bowls better just because Wentz, like he said, he gets
his guys back. He looks like Alston, Jeffrey and Nelson
Aghilora Bolt is gonna be there. Zach Ertz might be
in question now. He may not play, which definitely bodes
well for good or if Earth's doesn't play. But whence

(33:58):
you know he's had even when he's a full complimented players,
hasn't looked right this year. I just can't bet on that.
I'm gonna have to go with foals over him. Yeah,
keep an ear out in an eye out too, because
on Pro Football Today, after we wrap up here, Mike
Blue will have the laos on Zack Urtz Reas of
right now, the news is he's going to try and play,
but stay tuned. That could change at any moment. Let's

(34:19):
go for another QB one situation. Tom Brady and that
lackluster Patriots attack or Jared Goff and that lackluster Rams attack.
My goodness, so much to choose from both on the road,
but both have had better fantasy year. So Jared Goff
or Tom Brady QB one, who would you rather? Oh?
I think I'd rather take a shot on golf than Brady.

(34:41):
I just golf hasn't played well. But again, this is
against one of the worst defenses in the league. Uh,
and they're playing an offense that should be able to
put up points. So they're gonna have to be in
contention here and he's gonna have to throw. So I
think I have to take golf over over Brady. Again.
We talked about it before. Expect this game with Brady

(35:01):
to be a low scoring game. They'll do just enough
to win, but that's not gonna bode well for your
fantasy purposes, you know, take the name out of it.
Look at the numbers. Brady's numbers have not been good. No,
definitely a bad streak for him, that's for sure. Uh.
This just out from NFL Networks. I and a rappaport.
Philip Rivers is in danger of being benched today in

(35:22):
favor of Tyrod Taylor if he doesn't play well. Now,
clearly has not gone well here has been a lot
of turnovers there for Philip Rivers. So with that news,
I'm curious, let's go to that second tier quarterback. So
this is for super flexing quarterback two leagues? Would you
say that you would rather start returning Andy Dalton or
Philip Rivers on the road in Denver with the now

(35:43):
looming potential benching of him if he does not perform well.
So where are you at with those two? You know what?
At this point, I'm gonna I'm gonna bet on Rivers
playing better because it's on the line. You know, I
just can't see them benching him for Tyrod Taylor. I
just can't. Um. I understand Rivers isn't playing well, but

(36:04):
you know, a lot of that has to be on
the offensive line, and that's not gonna do Tyrod Taylor
any any much better than it's doing Rivers. So I'm
gonna bet on Rivers stepping up and having a good
game here a little bit more than Dalton. I like Dalton,
you know, in two quarterback leagues, I think they're both
in play, But I do I do think, you know,

(36:25):
gut says Rivers, has a better game in Dalton. All right,
let's go to some of the running backs here, and
let's start with Ronald Jones. This one looks like a
big passing day, but can Ronald Jones be a useful
RB two? Are you starting or sitting Rojo? I think
you gotta start him in this one. Hopefully they you know,
get him involved and keep them involved against the Jacksonville

(36:45):
defense that hasn't been playing well against the running back. Um.
You know, on the season, there twenty six against imposing
running backs, but over the last five weeks they've actually
fallen to number thirty, so that means there's only two
teams have been worse against the running back over the
last five weeks. Then Jacksonville, that should play into Road
Joe's hands. Hopefully they keep him involved in the passing game.

(37:06):
He gets four or five targets would be nice. That
plays right into it. Gives him a nice little floor
there if they do that, and I think he should
have some room to run against his team. All right,
how about Kenyan Drake, another guy that you know showed
up on the doorstep there against the four diners for
the Cardinals, had a great game. It's been kind of
all right, since, so are you confident starting him considering

(37:28):
what you saw the Rams basically get tors and just
run all over or do you think the Rams kind
of find their self respect again against Kenyan Drake? Would
you start or sit Kenyan Drake? I think Drake is
a decent flex play, but outside of that, I have
a hard time. Look, they get Chase Edmonds back again. Uh,
who knows what's going on with David Johnson. I just

(37:50):
don't know. You know, we could all be surprised and
all of a sudden David Johnson's back, or or they
turned to Chase Edmonds. This whole thing is scary to me.
He got three good acts back there. Uh, and like
you said, Drake had that great game against that tough
defensive Forty nine is the first week back, but since
then it's been okay, um hasn't been outstanding. So yeah,

(38:11):
I'm with you. I think I'm a little bit more
hesitant Andreke uh than most people are. Just I'm not
sure what we see out of that backfield today. All right,
With James Conner out, we've got Benny Snell and Jalen
Samuels left in the backfield. So Jim Day, Is there
one that you favor more or is this just a
sheer hey. In the PPR you go with Jalen Samuels.

(38:32):
In the half of the standard format, you go a
Benny Snell word. Are you like me? Where you just
prefer what you've seen out of Benny Snell here going
forward and think he's gonna take more of a lead
back role. I understand doesn't catch the ball a whole lot,
but it seems like that's kind of the route they're going.
Do you agree or do you think Samuels has more
appeal than I do? Uh No, I'm with you, I'm
with Snell. I mean, Samuel didn't do nothing last week.

(38:54):
They didn't give him a shot to do anything, and
that scares me. Um So, I think you know clip
and it's a tough defense against running backs over there
on the season the thirteenth, but over the last five
weeks they've actually stepped up the number six, so they're
playing really good. That may play into Samuel's hands, But
after last week, when they could have gotten him involved
in the past the game, it didn't. That's scary to me.

(39:16):
I think Snell is a guy who has a better
chance to at least score in this one. All the
needs is you know that one goal line funds to
put him over the top. So I think I'm going
with Snell over Samuel Samuels right now. Scares me? All right,
let's move on to the wide receivers here, from one
Samuels to another, it's still Deebo Samuel. When I was close,

(39:37):
it was it was almost a segue one extra s
one less as close enough Anyway, Dino Samuels played really well.
I find it hard to take him out of the
lineup now. But it is a tough matchup. So, uh
do you think you just keep rolling out there and
hope for the best today. It is a tough matchup
and that scares me a little bit. But you know,
he has been playing well, but you know it gets

(39:58):
his Baltimore defense. And I'm having a hard time because
I think it's not really gonna come down to Samuel,
It's gonna come down to Jimmy g Can he continue
to play he's been playing of late, which is much better,
or do they get him? The one problem with him
is if you start getting bodies around him, he starts
looking like he's lost. He starts looking scared, and that's

(40:20):
the problem I have with him as a quarterback. And
I think they do that. I think they bring everything
at him and make them, you know, make them try
to beat him on the ground. And that really hurts
what Jimmy g is gonna be able to do on offense,
which hurts all the receivers that aren't named George Gittle,
because George Kittle has done it against everybody. All right,

(40:41):
well let's play a little would you rather would you
same game? Would you rather start Hollywood Brown or would
you rather start Tebo Samuel? Great question. Um, that's why
I get the medium bucks jim exactly. Look, I think
Debil Samuel is a safer play because I look, san Franci,
this was still a great defense. But I think Hollywood

(41:03):
Brown still has more upside, just because again he's a
big playing machine. He can turn anything into his score
at any time. And while Samuel has been playing better,
I don't trust Jimmy G and this one, I think
I'd have to go Brown. All right, let's go through
a couple of these names real quick too. I'm gonna
rattle off a bune. You tell me, give me your

(41:24):
favorite one or two out of this group, Robbie Anderson,
Mike Williams, Curtis Samuel, James Washington, Darius Layton, Larry Fitzgerald,
any of those guys kind of popp to you. I know,
for me personally, Robbie Anderson, I liked this matchup today,
and Darius Slayton pops to me, especially with Golden Tate out.
Anybody for you as well in that group. That's the
same exact too. I was gonna say, I totally agree

(41:45):
with you. Look at us, we're meant to be Jim Dad.
You see, well, look like you said, exact same reasons.
I mean, Anderson going against Cincinnati, Donald playing well, everybody
expects Donald to have a big game. So if Donald's
gonna have a big game, I know Crowder has been
the number one basically a number of touches. But Anderson

(42:06):
is still a big play receiver. So I like Anderson
and this one and again with the Giants with Darius Slayton.
Every time one of the other top two receivers has
been out, Darry Slayton has stepped up in a big way. Uh,
and he doesn't receive the dramatic, you know, defensive attention
that starling Shepherd's gonna receive. So with Golden taed out

(42:27):
with ingram out, I think Darry Slayton is in play
big here, and you know, I don't have them very
high in my rankings, but just a nut field that
he comes out and plays a big game, all right.
Of these tight ends, obviously Dallas Goddard with the Earth's
injury news, whether Earth's plays or not, god Hear is
viable in this game. So out of this grouping Kyle Rudolph, Micasecki,

(42:48):
Noah Fant, Jimmy Graham. If you had to stream one
of those four, who would it be with Becasecki, Rudolph,
Fant or Graham. I'm gonna go with Rudolph. Look, he's
been playing better at score and touchdown age and that's
what we need. Um And Seattle's defense is terrible against
opposing tight ends on the year twenty Over the last
five weeks, definitely the easiest matchup of the four. Philadelphia's

(43:12):
defense has been playing great against tight ends. So I
don't like kasecky Vant. We have no idea what he's
gonna do with a new quarterback. And Jimmy Graham, you know,
Giants defense is pretty decent against tight ends as well,
because the wide receivers can catch anything they want, so
I go to the tight end. Jimmy Graham is always
a do or die prospect. He's got us score to

(43:32):
get you anything because he doesn't do anything else. Alright, Last,
but not least, let's stream of defense. The Rams on
the road or the Denver Broncos at home against the Chargers,
and all of a sudden, the very turnover prone Philip Rivers.
Would you go with the Broncos and the rookie QB
or the Rams against Kyler Murray. I'm curious where you're
at because I'm on the fence. Uh. I think I

(43:55):
gotta go with the Broncos. I have the Broncos a
little higher, but neither one or in my top twelve
out for the week. All right, let's do a little
three and out here. These are the three things that
jim and I have our eye on, and fantasy I
will start. It's Derrick Henry season. As I said earlier,
I have my eye on him going over a hundred
yards again, and I think he's gonna make a real
run at that rushing title. That was my bold prediction

(44:17):
at the beginning of the year and it's starting to
roll right now, and so are the Titans. Jim Day
when he got your eye on today, I want to
see if Aaron Rodgers can get right this week. There's
no doubt about it. He just hasn't been right for
what jeez, the last month. He hasn't had a game
where he's been over fifteen Fantasy points. If he can't
get it done against this Giants defense, then we may

(44:40):
be looking at, you know, a guy that you want
a bench for the rest of the year, because this
is the best matchup he's has on paper for the
rest of the season. It is an amazing part is
he's had some good ones already. Uh and it just
it seems to be like he can't get over that
to twenty and a touchdown maybe too, like we the
old Aaron Rodgers days of the three fifty and the

(45:01):
four touchdowns, they just don't seem to be there, maybe
because the way they've pivoted, obviously to the running game
of late to the last thing that I've got my
eye on and three and out is Patrick Mahomes wind
and all reminding everybody, Hey, last year I was the quarterback.
Everybody was talking about. Everybody loves me, don't forget about me.
Everybody's talking about Lamar Jackson. He's the flavor of now.

(45:21):
But Patrick Mahomes is pretty good last year, you know,
Els is pretty good. Mike Blewett and he's up next
with Pro football today. So stick around. All more fantasy
football action for you. Week thirteen in the NFL. I
want to thank Chris Bavona. I want to thank Will
and Brian over there. I love you guys. You're the best.
All right, stick around, everybody, more football coming at you.
It's been fun and always we'll see you next time. Kids,

(45:44):

action first end per cent discmp Taylor Order dot com
where millionaires are made stop by and that much. Here's
what you missed on the run of experts. I've watched

(46:27):
the forty Niners this year to know that Kyler Murray
and Russell Wilson, those are kind of quarterbacks with that
aggressive pass rush. They are able to make that mover
to get out of the pocket and make things happen.
And that's basically playing into the hand of Lamar Jackson.
So I think Lamar is in line for a pretty
good game today, as he always is. I think this
home crowd is gonna be really hyped up here. I'm curious, Jim,
do you think that the forty Niners defense can stop

(46:49):
the menace the m v P that is Lamar Jackson
at this point? Oh, I don't think they can. Absolutely,
I'm with you. These quarterbacks that know how to move
around in the pocket and then get out when they
need to get out and can hurt a fast pass rush,
and that's exactly what we're seeing from San fran And
you know, it will be an interesting game because we
have the number one total offense in in the NFL
with the Ravens at four three point three yards per

(47:12):
game going against the number one total defense and that's
the forty Niners who have only allowed two eight yards
per game. Something's got to give. We're gonna find out
today if the forty Niners are for real or not.
We know that, you know the Ravens are for real.
They've done it against top talent, They've knocked out top
talent already, and it's gonna be you know, Ken San

(47:33):
Francisco keep up with this team, and I just don't
think they can. I think right now the Ravens are
rolling over everybody and it's gonna be that again today
against these forty Niners defense. Yeah, I agree. I mean,
you're never taking Andswers out of your line up. Hollywood
is always one of these guys that we talk about,
do you want to play him? Do you want to
sit them? But we'll get to him a little later
on the program. What do you think about the forty
Niners offense against this Ravens defense has played much better

(47:55):
since Marcus Peters came to town. All of a sudden,
he shut down everybody on the side there that's allowed
that pass rush to be more aggressive. So do you
feel like it's all hands on deck? Everything's fine with
the debos of the world and the Emmanuel Sanders and Kiddles.
Were you a little concerned with Jimmy g and company,
especially with Brita out again and this one that they
are maybe a little bit banged up, But on top
of that, traveling on the road to a tough place

(48:16):
to play against a defense that has played very well
in the last six weeks. Oh, absolutely, this is gonna
be a tough game for the forty Niners offense. First
of all, Sanders, you know, with Kiddle on on the
field debot active has has outside of that first week
has really dropped off a ton since then. He hasn't
been a hundred percent and that hurts um. Kiddle we
know is in a hundred percent, but played well last week.

(48:36):
But like you said, this Ravens defense, while they've been
pretty strong all year, they've been very good the last month.
Over the last five weeks. You know, their number two
against the quarterback, number seven against the running back, number
eight against wide receivers, and number seven against tight ends
uh in fantasy points allowed. So they are playing really
well right now and they're in Baltimore. So that's definitely

(48:57):
not another sign that helped San Francisco again. This is
really gonna you know, this is the game that San
Francisco has to prove the people that they are for real.
This is it. This is the one game that's gonna
set them aside and say, look, we are not the
frauds that some people think we are. We can come
out and play with the big boys, or they can't.
