Speaker 1 (00:06):
You were. Now to the Rhodo Experts. Yo, what's up everybody.
It's me Joey Joe Pizza Bia and welcome to Week seventeen.
It's Rhodo Experts in the Morning, live from the Fandels
Sports Book here at the meadow Lands. We got a

(00:28):
big game right here, Giants Eagles. The East could be decided.
Somebody's gotta win that damn thing. And some of you
are still playing for championships. We've got a huge day
of fantasy football. We're gonna do a little look back
at the season, maybe a little look forward to There's
a ton of guys who are out this week. Obviously,
we're gonna do our little fantasy roundtable. Davis Maddock will

(00:49):
join us later in the program. We'll still do the
starts and sits, but it's kind of a year and
review kind of scenario here. And it's not Sunday without
my esteem co host Jim Day. Jim, how are you
Fantasy Daz? Welcome to the program. It's Week seventeen. We
did it, We made it. Yeah, really, it's the last
week of regular season football. It's just got here too quick.

(01:12):
Looking forward to some interesting games. To say the least
today to be interesting to see who plays who doesn't.
Gonna be a lot of big name players sitting on
the sideline this week. Yeah, there certainly are. But luckily
these two big name players, and basically you and I
are still here no matter what. And we are here
on sports grid dot com, streaming live, We're on Zoomo,

(01:33):
Pluto and stir, We're everywhere that sports grid is. So
get on the gride even the YouTube channel as well.
Make sure you subscribe to sports gride over on YouTube
for all the great content here, and you can follow
us on Twitter at the same name. Uh So, before
we get into things Jim and all the news of
who's in and who's out, I think it's time to
talk to everybody who's actually playing this week for a
fantasy championship at week seventeen and how crazy that is.

(01:56):
So if I could just have a moment, I'd like to,
uh to share a little bit with everybody else. So
a little fireside chat time for week seventeen. If you're
still playing this week in week seventeen, uh, what's what's
wrong with you? Why are you doing this to yourself?
No one's playing, there's healthy scratches some of the best
players that leads you to a championship, the Lamar Jackson's

(02:17):
of the world, all of those guys, they're gone. Why
why are you doing this to yourself? You spent all
those months preparing, You spent all of those months putting
lineups in, playing fab doing everything you're supposed to do
to get there, to have your season be decided by
r G three and Gus Edwards. What's wrong with you?
Don't play week seventeen for championships. It's terrible, it's horrible,

(02:39):
it's awful. Don't do it. But if you're playing, we
got your cover. Don't worry about it. So, Jim, let's
get to some of the things going on here, and
let's start, obviously with big news, which is Christian McCaffrey.
They said he couldn't do it twice, but he's done
it nice. He is on the precipice right now of
another season here. Uh, just absolutely huge. He's going for
a thousand yards receiving and a thousand yards rushing. So, Jim,

(03:01):
can you believe this is happening back to back years
where McCaffrey is just all world on this incredible run
of volume, incredibly fantasy run here. Oh. Absolutely. The guy
is just playing phenomenal football at this point and you
have to like his chances today, even you know, with
Will Greer at quarterback, I still think they try to

(03:23):
feed him the ball a ton. You know, he's got
the rushing side of it, he needs the receiving side
of it, and that's what we'll see from him today.
I think they check down quite often to him. Um,
And it's gonna be interesting to see if the Saints
let that happen. You know, I think it's it's sixty
three yards or sixty seven yards. He needs to get
to a thousand receiving so it you know, Saints are

(03:45):
are definitely gonna be keyed in on that, especially with
no d J. Moore playing. So I think you know,
McCaffrey is the guy they're gonna be keyed on. So
it's gonna be an interesting chess game between the two
coaches of whether or not they can get CMC there
or they were not on the Saints sideline if they
can keep them from doing it. Now, look, I think

(04:06):
that do you look at it, and I think he's
going to get there. Um. It's an incredible feat when
you consider Roger Craig was the last guy to do
it in five until Marshall Falk did it, and uh,
that's it. It's not a big list of guys. So
really you're in a spot here where you've got Marshall Falk,
Roger Craig, and now Christian McCaffrey. So that is some
incredible company. Just when you just think about all the

(04:28):
football we've had, all the offense we've had, that it's
just not something you see every day or every season
where a guy gets over a thousand both rushing and receiving.
All right, let's get to some of the injuries, because
there are a ton of them. Julian Edelman the knee,
of the shoulder, he's questionable. He's gonna play, but he
has not looked healthy. Uh. Dak Prescott with that shoulder,
Look Spring Day, sea joints or no joke. I've had

(04:49):
one myself. Now I didn't play quarterback for the Cowboys,
although maybe actually should. Jim Day, how concerned are you
with this shoulder here as we get to the end
of the season in this game here for the Cowboys,
I'm very concerned. Look, you saw it last week. Sure
he had good velocity, but the one thing you saw
him do a ton last week was sail the ball high.

(05:10):
And a lot of that comes because he's not getting
full rotation of that shoulder. He's not following through all
the way through on the ball, and you know, when
that happens, the ball tends to sail high. And that's
what we saw from him a lot last week. So
it really is gonna depend on how much stronger the
shoulder fields this week. But I don't really have a
lot of faith after watching last week's game. No, I

(05:33):
don't either, And I also don't like the whole situation
where how it's going to affect the other pieces around him. Potentially,
this seems like it should be a big Ezekiel Elliott
day and they just ground and pound and ground and pound,
and that's what they should do. We'll find out if
Jason Garrett is smart enough to do that or hill
Field just keep clapping and they keep losing. Uh. DeAndre
Hopkins is doing with an illness, so he is questionable,
But really they don't have much to play for anyway,

(05:54):
so it would not be shocking to see him play
a series or two and then be done. Kind of.
Murray is a game time to decision. It looks like
he might not play, So no Kyler Murray, no Josh Jacobs.
You know, here we are at the end of the
season and Miles Sanders had a great run. Can you
make a case for Miles Sanders, who is going to
finish in terms of PPR points basically a top eight.
Can you make a case for him to be Rookie

(06:16):
of the Year? Well, you can, especially if he goes
out strong in weeks seventeen, if he has another big,
strong game against the Giants defense that's been playing pretty
well against the run, you know, then you could start
to make that case because while Jacobs, you know, has
had the bigger numbers, he's missed the end of the season,
which you know is when you want your guy to

(06:38):
really shine through, especially since Oakland still in the hunt
to get into the playoffs. So without Jacobs there, if
Sanders can go out strong again, if he has another
big game, then there's gonna be a lot of people
saying he deserves it all right. James Conner alt, Dalvin
Cook out, DJ Moore out, Chris god went out. Why
are you playing Week seventeen? What's wrong with you? Why

(07:01):
would you want If you want to play football still
in fantasy, go play DFS. That's what you should be doing.
Look at these names that are not playing, and some
of them even names that are healthy and not playing.
What is wrong with you? Payball? Look? I get it.
You love football, Jim loves football. I love football. What
are you doing? Week seventeen is not the time to
decide championships? It's crazy. Half these guys weren't even fantasy endities.

(07:22):
You don't want to pull out guys off the waiver
wire and have them decide, especially for games that you
have cash involved. Oh my god, I can't get off
this high horse. I'm on about not playing a week seventeen.
But anyway, here we are right well, arms is gonna
play instead of Leonard Fournett. Does that mean anything to you?
Here is right well? Armstead have a shot to be
useful today at all? In your opinion? Jim, Uh, he's

(07:46):
got a shot? What I want to count on it? No?
Absolutely not, especially in this matchup. I just I don't
feel very strongly that this Jacksonville team is gonna want
to come and play. And the Cults defense has been
playing well all right, We've also got a little news
on some contract stuff here, because Marcus Peters agreed to

(08:08):
a three year, forty two million dollar extension. He was
a great acquisition from the time Marcus Peters game onto
the Ravens all of a sudden, playing good corner that
allowed them to get a little bit more pass rush
up front. It really kind of helped out the defense there. Uh.
And also some coaching changes to a lot of coaching changes.
We're gonna get to that and a whole lot more.
We're gonna hit a break when we come back. Jim

(08:28):
Day and I are gonna do a little fantasy fly
around with some of the big games and how they
impact your fantasy day, and they're gonna impact the playoffs
as well. We're just getting started a year at the
meadow Lands at the FanDuel Sports Book. It's Rhoto Experts

It's Sports Grid. Get on the grid, baby, and we're
of course on Zumo, Pluto, Stir, and YouTube. We're everywhere,

(10:15):
We're omnipresent. That's a big vocab this early in the morning,
But hey, I know you're up for it. You've been
with us all year. I want to thank you all
for watching this whole time. And we're gonna finish strong
here and Jim Day and I've got a bunch of
games here that have big fantasy implications potentially for those
crazy lunatics that are still playing Week seventeen, but just
for fun as well. So Jim, let's start with the

(10:37):
Falcons and Bucks. Last year Week seventeen, this total went
over seventy. It seems like we could be working towards
that again. Now I know Godwin's out, I know Evans
is out, can Perryman Watson and the remaining cast, including
Jamis Winston who was back to being bad Jamis Winston
last week. Can he rebound and can we get to
a giant total once again for this contest on Sunday? Oh? Absolutely, Look,

(11:03):
Jamis Winston. Even in games when he's a bad Jamis Winston,
he's still putting up points for his offense and he's
been a great fantasy quarterback because of that. So, yeah,
this definitely could be a game. Both defenses have been
playing better. Tampa Bay played great defense last week. It'd
be interesting to see if they come and play that
way again this week. So, but I do expect both

(11:25):
of these teams to air it out. It's hard to
run against Tampa Bay, so you've got to go through
the air, and that's what's gonna happen. I think to me,
this has a chance of being the highest game on
the slate today. Um, And it's funny to say that,
but there today is it. There's no Monday night game
coming or anything like that. It's all Sunday today. But

(11:46):
I think you're depressing chance of being one of the
highest games. Yeah, sorry, I'm depressing myself as I'm talking
about it. I think it has the chance of being
the highest game of the week, and it's actually got
the highest over under of any game this week. And
and I just think these both of these quarterbacks are
gonna be slinging it all day. Yeah. I I find

(12:09):
I'm hard pressed for this one to disappoint. I really am.
And on the Falcon side of this, when I thought
Austin Hooper loved healthy last week for the first time
since he's been back. That's a huge addition to this emaily,
not just Austin Hooper, but a healthy finally is right,
damn it man. I mean when he came back, I
gave him a lot of credit for pushing through the injury,
but at the same time, he did not look right
last week. He did this week. Great matchup. Julio has

(12:30):
got a great matchup, so is Matt Ryan Adams. Do
you think that Ronald Jones is gonna be catching football's
like he was on Saturday too, because that was a
different thing that we were seeing. We didn't see a
lot of that during the year. But do you think
because we're at this point where you're missing so many weapons,
that almost out of necessity, we get Ronald Jones catching
the football again on Sunday? Yeah, but that would mean

(12:52):
Ronald Jones has two decent games back to back. I
just don't know if I can. It's not something we've
seen from him all. He has done one good game
and then he disappears for a few games, comes back
for another decent game, disappears. I don't know if I'd
trust him today. If I had to, I might take
a fire. I don't. But in the season long league,

(13:14):
I don't know. I can't argue. I can't argue with
all right, let's get the next one Eagles Giants. This
one's happening today right behind us at the Metal Lands
at right, Brian, not four o'clock, as I was corrected
earlier by our Steam colleague here Brian for so you
have an extra twenty five minutes to get to the game. Yeah,

(13:34):
that's right now, I called you out there. But look,
this one knows zach Ertz in this game, Dallas Goddard. Obviously,
we know the Giants struggle against tight ends normally. I
like Goddard more when Art is on the field, even
if he wasn't healthy, just him being there I think helps.
But it is what it is. This is where we're
at and out do you think Goddard can go out
there and have himself a good tight end one game?

(13:54):
With Er? It's not on the field and with Look,
the weapons are pretty limited here for the Eagles at
this point. Ward and Goddard and Sanders. That's what we're
looking at. So can Goddard be that guy against the
Giants today? Oh? Absolutely, I think Goddard has a chance
of being in the top three tight ends this week
just because there's nobody else there. I mean, you're looking
at like you said, Warden and uh Sanders are like

(14:18):
the only other two viable options. Uh r Sega. Whiteside
has been nothing you talked about, a big disappointment as
a rookie, just hasn't gotten it yet. Hopefully that changes
next year, but at this point, Goddard has to be
a big part of his game plan for the Eagles
to win. Now, that's the part that scares me as
a Giants fan. I don't want them to win another

(14:40):
meaningless game like they did last week, idiots losing draft
picks because of it, stupid play. I just I don't
want to see them win again. But you know what
the possibility is there If Daniel Jones is on again
this week like he was last week, then Philadelphia is
going to have a hard time with the Giants offense.
Is Barkley looking like he's back healthy, Daniel Jones throwing

(15:03):
some good balls, Philadelphia is gonna have to throw a
lot to keep in this game. Well, I guess here's
the question too, is you know Daniel Jones put up
another thirty spot this past week, Kwon obviously was a
big part of that, and him looking healthy has been
a game changer. He's reminding everybody why we liked him
as the number one overall challenger to McCaffrey, Which is

(15:23):
great and all. But do you think that with this
Eagle secondary being so mediocre at best, that Daniel Jones
can kind of throw in the upset here with the
weapons he's got, the Shepherd, Tate, Sae Kwon, Barkley, even
Darius Layton, who has been a very good rookie season.
Oh absolutely they can. I just hope they don't. It's

(15:44):
a Giants fan. I don't want to meeting this game,
but I know you want Chase Young. I get it.
You know their home, they're playing the Eagles. I don't
think we get Chase Young now. Um well, first of all,
Second of all, as he last I heard, he was
thinking about stay in school. So who knows if that
comes to fruition or not. Maybe they just to stay

(16:04):
in school and you can make millions of dollars. Come on,
he's gonna make millions of dollars. Nobody wants to stay
in school. All right, Let's get to the next one here.
Saints Panthers. This matchup enough, No, I don't want to
go there, Let's go Saints Panthers. Let's go there instead.
Alvin Camara then absolutely brilliant in the last couple of weeks.

(16:27):
Finally another guy that's kind of you know, it's taken
to like week fifteen sixteen to see the sa Quana
Camara that we drafted, but at least we're seeing them now. Uh.
Eleven rushes, eighty yards, two touchdowns. This week he faces
the Carolina Panthers, who are the worst team against the
run the NFL. So are we talking big Albun Camara game?
And they just kind of ride this guy all the

(16:48):
way through as that's what it seems like, Well you
would expect that. I mean, that's rational coaching. You look
at the numbers. Uh, everybody can run on them. Why
not run on the Uh? Just I don't know. I
think that's a big part of it. I think Lott
Murray is involved in this game plan as well. But

(17:09):
I still think Breeze is a guy who's a good
play this week because look, the Michael Thomas has the
record again. But I think they're gonna try and want
to build on that, and if he catches another ten balls.
I mean, you're looking at a record that's so far
in advance of what anybody else has done. It's pretty good.
So I think Breeze is gonna be throwing quite a
bit too. A lot of that might be to Camara

(17:31):
out of the backfield, which you work as well if
you're playing Camara, especially in DFS. I love Camara this week.
Paying up for a running back this week is probably
a great idea decision. There's a couple of them. I
know everybody's in on CMC because he wants to get
to the thousand thousand club. But man again, I just
can't imagine New Orleans not keying in on CMC. I

(17:54):
just think they're gonna make it a lot tougher than
people expected to. Yeah, I agree. Let's go to the
next one. Here's Texans. Now, Titans basically are in control
here of their own destiny. The Texans, they have nothing
to play for. I mentioned at the top of the show,
it looks like there's a good chance that Andre Hopkins
is either limited or comes out of this game, or
maybe doesn't even play at all. Is to get a
little closer for more updates on that stick around because

(18:16):
after I'm done here, Pro Football Today with Mike Blewett
and Friends is on next. So when you're looking at
this one, Ryan Tannehill certainly has been the savior of
this offense and of this team. Derrick Henry not add
percent with the hamstring, but he's gonna play. So basically,
all hands on deck for this one. Do you see
the Titans taking care in handling their businesses? Stay, Jim,

(18:38):
I do, but this one thing everybody say. You know,
Houston doesn't have anything to play for, but they might
if Kansas suit City manages to lose the game to
the Charges, then the Texans can move up if they
beat the Titans. So it's one of those few games
where one o'clock game is definitely going to effect the
four buck game. Right now, we're not expecting to play

(19:00):
much or Hopkins to play much, but if Kansas City
lewises that could change all right more, it could change too.
We're gonna get some more games and plus a little
recap of twenty nine. Davis Maddick is going to join
us for the Fantasy roundtable, so stick around right here.

We'll see Welcome back, everybody Wroteal Experts in the Morning
with me and Jim Day, and of course it's Fantasy
Roundtable time. That means Davis Maddock is joining us. So, Davis,
welcome to the program. It's Week seventeen. I'm equal parts

(21:34):
excited and equal parts depressed because we're at the end
of the regular season. But it's been such a great season.
So how are you doing with the fact that we're
here in week seventeen. It has been a great season.
Week seventeen, of course, always a little bit bitter sweet.
You know, we don't like to say goodbye to the
regular season, but you know what's at a certain point,
we've also been grinding, you know, all season long, We've

(21:55):
been doing podcasts and writing articles, and it is it
is nice to know that, uh, you know, at least
were we were about to we're about to come about
on a brief rest. Yes, a little break. I think
we could all use a little break. So let's start
off on a high note. Let's talk about our best
calls of uh. Davis. I'm sure over there at Rhoto
experts dot com you had a lot of great calls.

(22:18):
Who was your favorite one? You had a lot of
shares of maybe you around on a limb and maybe
the guy that you just said, you know what, I
believe in this guy and it worked out. Who was
that guy in twenty nineteen or guys for you? So
the number one guy for me has to be Dj
more wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers. Basically, uh, you know,
pounded him in every draft just you know, said that

(22:39):
this guy is the next you know, the next Julio Jones,
the next A J. Green, you know, the next guy
who's gonna come from the college rinks, and just established
himself as one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL.
I definitely think that he was able to do that,
and he was able to do that while playing with
Kyle Allen and Will Greer. So certainly I think that
DJ moore stance is one of the better calls that

(23:01):
I have made, you know, kind of over the course
of my fantasy career. All right, Jim Day, let's go
to you. What was your favorite call? Who is the
player that you are right that you stake the claim,
you planted the flag and you got everything you expected
and maybe more. Well, actually I'm gonna flip it around
a little bit. Because my best call I think of

(23:21):
the season was telling people to stay away from Levian Bell.
Um didn't trust behind that old line, playing in that
offense with Adam Gaye's coach, didn't like him at all.
People who started taking him late in draft season in
the first round. I couldn't tell him quick enough to
get away from him. He didn't have a bad year,
but definitely not the here that people were expecting him

(23:42):
that that drafted him in the first round. So to me,
I think that was definitely one of my better calls
because there were so many people beating the drums on
saying Levian Bell is back, and I couldn't say it
loud enough. I didn't think so all right, Uh, well
here's a question for you. I think that's a great one,
by the way, But is Levian Bell next year? Because
it doesn't feel like he's going to be with the Jets.

(24:04):
So if you had to pick a landing spot for him, Jim,
where would it be. Well, you know, Tampa Bay is
the landing spot of every one of these running backs
that may be out of wherever they are, David Johnson,
Levian Bell, any of these other guys. But you know
it's gonna be interesting to see. You know, what does
Miami do? Do they want to pay up for one
of these guys? I doubt it, but who knows. You know,

(24:27):
there's gonna be some landing spots for these guys. I
just I'm pretty sure at this point Bell doesn't want
to play for gays anymore. I'm not sure anybody wants
to play for gays anymore. You know, he may stay
in the Jets if they decided to get rid of gays.
To meet gays is the problem? Oh wow, I think
that's pretty obvious, especially when you see Davante Parker, Kenyan Drake,

(24:47):
everybody basically, uh, everything's going up roses for everybody except
for Levian Bell, who's stuck with him. Now. So if
we're right about some things, we're wrong about others. So, Davis,
who were you wrong about that? Yeah? A pound of
the table four and unfortunately things didn't work out for you. Well,
there are a couple of different running backs that spring

(25:07):
to mind here. The first, of course, Damian Williams for
the Kansas City Chiefs got he just couldn't stay healthy.
When he was active for the Chiefs, he actually was okay.
Now he wasn't He wasn't ever a workhorse running back
for the Chiefs when he was healthy. But you know,
he had a couple of games of over twenty touches
and really was their primary goal line back when he
was active as well. But the guy, I mean, he
just got injured all year long, and and overall, in

(25:28):
a more macro sent something that I was wrong about
was a new trend that we've seen this year in
the NFL is win running backs go down with injuries.
Instead of being replaced by one running back, they've been
replaced by multiple running backs. So the zero running back
strategy was just even more fragile this year than it
had ever been before. You know, so Carrie on Johnson
goes down and it's a three way committee, and and

(25:49):
and we just have a bunch of examples like that
where running back injuries happened this year, but there was
no clear beneficiary after the main injury. And you know what, Davis,
more to that point, there was no clear benefit from
handcuffing guys because of that. So having these guys he
hold all year waiting for it when that guy went
out ahead of him, it turns out being a committee anyway,
and he've been wasting roster spots and wasting opportunity to

(26:12):
add impactful free agents that could have helped you to
flex wide receiver three over those bye weeks. So lots
of things there, I think to take away, that's a
very good one. Jim Day, what were you wrong about
in Who was the guy that really disappointed you the most?
And don't say me, Uh yeah, Now I gotta go
with David Johnson. I was really high on him in

(26:33):
this offense. I thought he'd be a perfect fit as
a good pass catching back in this offense that wanted
to run, you know, move the ball as fast as
they did. And you know, he started off pretty good
until the injury, and then after the injury had just nothing.
I don't know if he never was quite right or
he fell out of favor with Kingsbury. I don't know
what the real real reason is, but he just fell

(26:54):
off the planet after that. So I was definitely very
high on him. He was, you know, like my number
five or six pick and all my drafts if I
had that choice and it just didn't come together, yeah
for me. You know, there were three wide receivers that
come to mind. We ranked them in the Black Book
this year in the NFL version, it was Courtland Sutton,

(27:15):
D J. Moore, and Chris Godwin. Not necessarily that order
is actually more Godwin and Courtland Sutton. Those three guys
pretty much made up all of my wide receiver corps
this year, and some either two of three or all
three of them based on the value based on the
returning investment, kind of faded away from that top group.
So that all worked out great for me. But I'll
tell you what, I had a lot of slow super
flex drafts where I took a lot of cheaper Andrew

(27:37):
luck shares thinking I'd get him at some point, and
uh didn't work out so well. But luckily I was
able to get Ryan Tannehill and that worked out pretty
well for me off the waiver wire, so all was
not lost. All right, Let's get to some of the
waiver wire. So Jim Day, let's start with you. Who
is your waiver wire pickup of the year. Well, you know,
part a few choices, but I gotta say the one

(27:58):
that impacted me the most got me a championship had
to be Tyler Higbee. You know, I've been streaming tight
ends all year fighting that battle trying to find the
right one each and every week. Whenever it went down,
I grabbed Higbee and you know, basically he just carried
me through the playoffs, got me a championship. So I
have to say, Tyler Higbie was it for me? All right?

(28:20):
How about you, Davis? Who was that guy for you
you plucked off the waiver on? Mine was Ryan Tannehill
brought me to a couple of super Flex championships. So
who was that guy for you that was the man
off the waiver wire that kind of saved your bacon
In a couple of leaks, well, Higbie Higbie is a
pretty good one. I was able to nab him up
in a few leaks. But I actually think that the
guy for me that I added in the most leagues

(28:40):
was DJ Shark. After week one, I really liked DJ
Shark and drafted him in some deeper formats, had him,
you know, in in the draft Bastball Championship a good bit.
But there were definitely a bunch of leagues I was
in where he just was undrafted, and after week one
I was able to snag him up in a decent
juncle leagues and thought, obviously he was great for you
know about two months of disease in Yeah, I'll tell

(29:02):
you what. Terry McLaurin another guy he picked off Waiver Wires,
who had a pretty darn good season. He was a
guy that I think floated to even week two because
nobody was buying in and that was just madness because
you said the Redskins clearly buy into it. Turned out
to have a pretty good season. He actually has more
PPR points than Odell Beckham. How's that for a fun stat? Man?
Is that depressing for everybody? All right, let's talk about

(29:22):
some strong finishes. For me. I mentioned at the top
of the show, it's Miles Sanders. I traded away Devin
Singletary in a in a league for Miles Sanders because
I just thought Sanders had the better opportunity to get
touchdowns and be a part of that. I did not
expect him to be as good as he was over
the last six weeks. He's basically PPR I think running
back number seven overall. So that's the guy for me. Davis.
Let's start with you. Who is that guy that finished

(29:44):
the season so strong for you that you were really
impressed going forward? For their value? I mean, for me, personally,
I think that Robert Woods and Davontae Adams, two wide receivers.
Both of them started out the year slow. You know,
Davonta Adam did not score before he got injured, then
came back from the injury and has had like a
thirty five percent target share in that Packers offense. And

(30:07):
then Robert Woods. Over the last month of the season,
He's been targeted over nine times and every single game
basically switched roles with Cooper Cup And I think that
Woods is the guy who did the most to improve
his stock for you know, over the last month of
the season or so. All right, Jim Day, how about you,
who was the guy that finished really strong for you

(30:27):
that really piqued your interest for next year's value in trafts. Well,
not only did he finish strong, he basically was strong
all year, which was surprising to me because I wasn't
a big fan of his before this. But as you
mentioned before, coaching changes can do that. Davante Parker over
the last six weeks of the season has been the

(30:49):
number two wide receiver, only behind Michael Thomas. So he's
been playing strong all year. The kid is finally showing
what we thought he could show coming out of college,
and obviously, like we talked about before, gays just killed
everybody's value. And now he's gone, and all of a sudden,
Davante Parker is being a stud here. He is gonna

(31:09):
be one of the most interesting value picks next year.
Where does he go in drafts? And that's gonna be
interesting to see. I'm really looking forward to that. All right, Davis,
I want to thank you for joining us all season long.

By the way, I want to thank Brian and Will
and of course my esteem colleague, the Fantasy Tazz Jim Day.
It's been a great season here over at the meadow
Lands at the FanDuel Sports Book. We've been doing this
show for seventeen weeks. It's flown by time flies. When

(33:58):
you're having fun, I want to thank every buddy behind
the scenes too over in New York who made everything work.
And of course Davis Maddock, who I just had on
last from Rhotal Experts dot com. Great stuff from him
all season long. But here we are. It's the end
of the year, Jim. Some people they're insane, they're they're
absolutely out of there. Gourd are still playing for championships

(34:19):
in week seventeen. I've I've told them not to do it.
They didn't listen to me. But here we are. So
let's do some starts and sits. Let's start with QB
one Tom Brady, Daniel Jones or Jimmy g If it's
all down the line for you, who would you rather
be playing? Tom Brady, Hall of Famer, rookie Daniel Jones,
or handsome Jimmy Garoppolo. I'm going with Daniel Jones. I

(34:40):
just think right now he's the most explosive of the trio. Uh.
He could end up coming out and putting up a
dog turning the ball over three or four times. We've
seen him do that as well. But you know he's
also a rookie who's gone out and now three times
had at least four passing touchdowns in a game. So
he's got the most upside here against the a Philadelphia

(35:01):
secondary that could definitely be beat. So I think I
have I have Jones highest, I have Brady right behind him,
and then Garoppolo a few spots behind him. All right,
let's do quarterback too in the super Flex League. Uh,
Kyler Murray's out, So here we go as another guy
who's probably I mean at least a game time decision.
So that's not good with the hamstring and god knows

(35:22):
what else. And we got Sam Donald, We've got Derek
Carr on the road in Denver, and then we got
r G three at home against the Steelers defense, which
has been pretty good. So I know this is depressing,
but do your best. Jim, Derek Carr, Sam Donald or
Robert Griffin the third? Who would you rather be starting
in your super Flex QB spot? Oh? I think I'd

(35:46):
rather be starting Derek Carr. But you know, just just
because I mean, it's a tough matchup at Denver, I
get that. But it's not like either the other two
have good matchups either. I mean, Griffin's going against a
killer Pittsburgh defense right now, and Donald's going up against Buffalo. Uh.
They may sit a couple of as starters, which may
help Donald, but I don't know if it's gonna be enough.

(36:08):
It's still a very strong team there on the defensive
side of the ball, and one of the main reasons
they are in the playoffs, Um, they don't have anything
to play for though, So Yeah, I think I still
trust Car the most. I think I would go Donald second,
Griffin third. Yeah, I agree with you. I think Cars

(36:29):
the way to go, even though the matchup is bad.
At least you're taking, you know, the guy who's playing
for something, and he's got at least most of the
weapons are and DeAndre Washington's played pretty well. Let's go
to the runn backs and wants start in New England
with Sony Michelle, who's dealing with an illness. He's questionable
now and whenever New England guys questionable. You don't know
what he's gonna be. So does that mean that Rex
Burkhead doesn't playing? Does that mean a better situation for

(36:52):
James White? You saw them use the fullback again last
week or their version of it now with Roberts the
linebacker filling in for Devilon who has been out all
year and that seemed to work. But now if Sony
Michelle was not feeling good, what are we gonna do here?
Would you still fire him up anyway? Or would you
look to pivot to a Rex Birkehead or James White
if you have everybody? Yeah, I wouldn't play Sony Michelle.

(37:16):
I I doubt he plays. Look, they're going up against Miami.
Miami has been playing stronger, but you know it's still
Patriots with something to play for. I think they take
this one. I mean they have a huge, uh huge
number and in uh in the sports books for them
to win. I think it was the last time I

(37:36):
saw it was sixteen and a half points that they're
favored by, So you know, they probably won't need Michelle
in this one. I think Burkehead gets fired up. White definitely,
I think is in play as well in this one,
So you know those guys are definitely in place. Sony Michelle,
the fact that he came up sick on Saturday is
probably not a good sign. And I just don't think

(37:57):
they're gonna feel like they need to get him out
there for this rather get him healthy for the playoffs. Yeah,
I would agree. Kareem Hunt's got a chance to showcase
himself one more time before he hits free agency. I
don't think he's going to come back there. He's a
start for sure. Ronald Jones. I'm starting in my you
know what, I know, it's crazy. I think you gotta
let it hang out there. I think it'll be a

(38:17):
huge total. You want to be involved in that game.
All right, let's talk about Boone, Mike Boone for the
Minnesota Vikings. So that hasn't necessarily gone like people wanted
last Monday. But do you go back to that well
if you need to go back to that well this week,
if you're still alive, Oh, I don't know. It's gonna
be tough. And that's the thing. Everybody you know went

(38:38):
for it last week, took the chance. He burned everybody.
So I think there's gonna be very few people that
want to take that chance this week, which most likely
means in the world of fantasy football, that he runs
for a hundred and fifty yards and two touchdowns today. Um,
so you know there is that possibility. Look, two weeks
ago he had two touchdowns in limited play. The possibility exists,

(39:00):
and we've seen it before. Everybody gets in on somebody
one week too early and then bails on him the
next week after nothing, and then they go off. It
could be possible. And you know, I'd much rather take
a shot on him in in a couple of DFS
lineups than I would in a season long championship this week.
There's got to be better options, all right, let's talk

(39:21):
about some other options here in Baltimore. Justice Seal Gus
Edwards are both now on the table. I know which
way I'm going. I'm taking Gus Edwards. I want the
guy who I think has more Touchdowt Upside, who I
really think you're just gonna kind of run the football,
run the football, and Justice Hell might catch a couple
here and there and be a little useful, a couple
of maybe design plays. But I think Us Edwards is
the better part. I know everyone's more excited about just

(39:43):
As Hill, which is understandable. He's the more exciting player.
But this is fantasy, this is not an excitement contest.
So who did you rather? Gus Edwards are just as ill. Well,
the problem for me with Gus Edwards, and I'm with you.
I like Gus Edwards. He'll get all the early down work.
He should get the goal line work. He's not gonna
have Lamar Jackson stealing any of that, so he should

(40:04):
have that opportunity. The only problem with him is he
almost almost absolutely needs to score to get you into
double digits. Otherwise you're looking at, you know, maybe eight
nine points without that because he just doesn't catch passes.
I think I'd rather take the shot on Justice Hill
and the fact that I think he could catch you know,
four or five six passes here and get involved that way.

(40:26):
So I think I'd rather take the shot on Pas
catching back. But Gus Edwards is not a bed you
know deal. If that's a guy you gotta roll with,
I would roll Gus Edwards over Mike Boon this week.
All right, let's rapid fire these wide receivers. Give me
your favorite Giants wide receiver. Slayton Shepherd Tate. Who's your

(40:47):
number one? Shepherd? Um? Absolutely, he's you know, once he's
back and healthy. He seems to be running the most routes,
he's getting the most intention I think he's the one
you want to run out there. Slayton in this matchup
against his secondary could be a nice surprise. Golden Tate,
you know, I think he could catch a few passes.

(41:09):
I just don't know if he has that real huge
opportunity to score. This week. Philadelphia has been a little
better against slot receivers and outside receivers. All right, give
me your favorite Jets wide receiver, Jameis and Crowder or
Robbie Anderson. Who you prefer this week? Well? I like

(41:30):
Prouder more. If Anderson plays. There's no guarantee Anderson plays.
He's pretty much said he's not gonna be there next year,
no matter what happens. Uh, So you know there's a
good chance he doesn't play. If he doesn't play, I
don't you know, I have to go with Crowder, But um,
I like Prowder more. If Anderson does play, Davis White,

(41:52):
so far they haven't said whether he's gonna sit or not.
If he plays, I mean he's gonna shut down Anderson.
He shuts down every number one he goes against, So
that would definitely make Prouder into play. If Anderson sits
down out, then Prouder becomes that number one. That for
Davis White is pretty much following all games. Does Larry

(42:14):
Fitzgerald go out on a high note today? I know
Kyler Murray is in question whether or he's gonna play,
But are we gonna get a nice farewell here for
the Hall of Famer Larry fitz Man. I would love
to see that. I would love to see him go
out on a high note. I'm just not sure we
can count on it. You know, it's a tough, tough
game without Kyler Murray, so it's really hard to count

(42:36):
on him being that guy doing what he needs to do.
But I would love it. You know how much I
love Fitzgerald. He's one of favorite players. But you know,
Brent Huntley, Brent Huntley is not dead and he could
still make that happen. I just think he still has
a tendency right now to want to run before looking downfield,

(42:57):
so I think that impacts it a little bit. But
I would love to see fits go out on a
high note. Alright. Doyle Smith, Johnny Smith that is, and
no a fant of those three, who's the best streaming
tight end? Possibly Doyle, Jonna Smith or Noah Fan Who
would you throw in there? I gotta go with Jack
Doyle against this Jacksonville defense that is just basically, you know,

(43:21):
rolled up its sidewalks and gone home. They're not. It
doesn't even look like they want to be on the
field at this point. I have to think that, you know,
Doyle is the guy that gets it done here. Um,
you know, Fantas definitely, He's always that one big play
away from putting up big numbers, and we've seen him
do that time and time again, but he just doesn't

(43:42):
get enough targets on a weekly basis yet for me
to trust you're not. John Smith is a guy who
could be big in this game, especially if Houston tries
to you know, slow down a J. Brown. I don't
think they have the weapons to do that, but if
they try to do that, then John nu Smith could
come up for them. So it's gonna be interesting. And
you know, it depends on how healthy Corey Davis actually is.

(44:05):
Looks like he's gonna play, but how much, you know,
how healthy is he is going to be the big question.
I know he hasn't done much all year, but he
still does take some of those targets away from John
and Smith. All right, and we've got Denver, Indianapolis, and
Philadelphia all in the bubble of defense today. I think
all those defenses you can stream, even the Eagles spite
some of their issues because of the turnos of Daniel Jones. Okay,

(44:28):
it's our last three and out of the regular season, So, uh,
this is what Jim Day and I are looking for
on Sunday. I'm start here. I'm looking for Christian McCaffrey
to get to that plateau a thousand yards receiving, a
thousand yards rushing. That would be an incredible season and
an incredible back to back for CMC. Jim Day, what
are you looking for this Sunday Week seventeen? I want

(44:52):
to know if Dallas is even good enough at this
point in time to beat Washington. I just don't know.
They've been so up in down all season. I don't
know if they have enough left in the tank to
beat Washington in Week seventeen. How sad is that? It's
It's definitely sad. I think the Giants can come back

(45:12):
next year and possibly win that division. I really do
you know? If they get a good player in the draft,
fix some offensive lines, some defense issues, they could be
right in this thing. Uh. The last one for me
can Marshawn Lynch. That's right, Marshawn Lynch. I can't believe
we're here and saying this, can Marshawn Lynch in week
seventeen show up and be useful for the Seattle Seahawks,

(45:33):
get that crowd going and get a W. A huge
W would be against the forty niners because they would
have the tiebreaker then and they're at home and they
have struggled a little bit at home recently. So I
can't wait for that. I can't believe we're here and
week seventeen and Marshawn Lynch is there. Yeah, you know
the Marshawn Lynch Lake was against San Francisco. I don't there,

(45:58):
you go there, you have it, Gonna leave on that.
Pro Football today is coming up next with Mike Blewitt

Here's what you missed on the Run of Experts. Well,
I guess here's the question too, is you know Daniel
Jones put up another thirty spot this past week. Kwon

(47:02):
obviously was a big part of that, and him looking healthy.
He has been a game changer. He's reminding everybody why
we liked him as the number one overall challenger to McCaffrey,
Which is great and all. But do you think that
with this Eagle secondary being so mediocre at best, that
Daniel Jones can kind of throw in the upset here
with the weapons he's got, the Shepherd, Tate, Sae Kwon, Barkley,
even Darius Layton, who has been a very good rookie season.

(47:26):
Oh absolutely, they can. I just hope they don't. It's
a Giants fan. I don't want this game, but I
know you want Chase Young. I get it. You know
their home they're playing the Eagles. I don't think we
get Chase Young now. Um. But first of all, Second
of all, as he last I heard, he was thinking
about staying in school. So who knows if that comes

(47:47):
to fruition or not. Maybe they to stay in school
when you can make millions of dollars. Come on, he's
gonna make millions of dollars. Nobody wants to stay in school.
All right, let's get to the next one here, Saints
Panthers patch up enough. No, I don't want to go there,
Let's go Saints Panthers. Let's go there instead. Alvin Camara

(48:10):
than absolutely brilliant in the last couple of weeks. Finally
another guy that's kind of you know, it's taken to
like week fifteen sixteen to see the sa Quana Camara
that we drafted, but at least we're seeing them now. Uh.
Eleven rush is eighty yards, two touchdowns. This week he
faces the Carolina Panthers, who are the worst team against
the run the NFL. So are we talking big Alvin

(48:30):
Camara game? And they just kind of ride this guy
all the way through. As that's what seems like, well
you would expect that. I mean, that's rational coaching. You
look at the numbers. Uh, everybody can run on them.
Why not run on them? Uh? Just I don't know.
I think that's a big part of it. I think
lat Murray is is involved in this game plan as well.

(48:53):
But I still think Breeze is a guy who's a
good play this week because look, Michael Thomas has the
it again. But I think they're going to try and
want to build on that. And if he catches another
ten balls, I mean, you're looking at a record that's
so far in advance of what anybody else has done.
It's pretty good. So I think Breeze is gonna be
throwing quite a bit too. A lot of that might

(49:14):
be to Camara out of the backfield, which you work
as well if you're buying Camara, especially in DFS. I
love Camara this week. Paying up for a running back
this week is probably a great idea decision. There's a
couple of them. I know everybody's in on CMC because
he wants to get to the thousand thousand club. But
man again, I just can't imagine New Orleites not keying

(49:36):
in on CMC. I just think they're gonna make it
