Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, I'm Roy Wood Jr. I'm a stand up comedian,
I'm correspondent on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. I'm
a father, I'm a Sagittarius, and I have a podcast. Listen,
everybody has a podcast. Why do I have to call
it that work turns people out? Hey? I have an
acoustic radio presentation called Roy's Job Fair. That sounds better. Now,
what's the job there about? Each week I sit down

(00:22):
with real people from all lines of work and we're
gonna laugh. See. That's what you gotta remember about employment. See,
work is like sex. Either you're getting some right now
or you're probably out there looking for it. Work is
where we spend a ton of our life, and it's
where we experience some of our brightest and darkest moments.
The job Fair is here to explore all of that stuff.

(00:42):
I want to know about your worst job. I want
to know about your first job. I want to hear
the story about the time you were still in stuff
at the job. Oh yeah, scammers get love. I'm the
job Fair too. If you have a cowork of another
race that you're having trouble relating to, the job Fair
has certified black people, white people all agist rot for sure,
Who's going to give you tips on ways to break

(01:03):
the ice with coworkers of an opposite race. Look, I've
been fired from multiple jobs. I've had guns pulled on
me at work. I've almost fought two co workers and
that was all before the age of twenty three. So
if I have those types of stories, I know y'all
have some amazing stories out there. The job Fair is
the place for those conversations. And oh, here's the cool thing.

(01:25):
Some of the people calling in they actually have employment
they can see at their companies. So if you're looking
for work, this podcast can be the place to come
to get ideas of what rocks to look under. If
you already got work, sit back, relax, and laugh at
the ups and downs that come with just trying to
make an honest buck. This show is a therapy session
for anybody who's looking for work, wants to slap somebody

(01:48):
at work, or is hiring somebody to work for them
so that eventually they can slap you too. One part laughs,
one part inspiration. I cannot wait to welcome you to
Roy's Job Fair starting on March seventeenth on the I
Heart Radio app Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcasts.
Excuse me, acoustical audio presentation. I'm not using the word podcasts.

(02:11):
I'm tricking people
