I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwind your
mind and spirit with Tonight's sleep song. I will lift
my eyes to the heels. Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth,
(00:28):
Psalm one, verse one in two, Heavenly Father, Tonight, my
soul looks upward. Just as the stars cover the firmament,
so does your providence cover me. The day's burdens have accumulated,
(00:49):
and tomorrow will have its fair share of struggles. But
where does my help come from? I declare with confidence
that it come from from you. You have been the
one to sustain me throughout the day, and I know
you will keep me tonight as I sleep. There is
(01:13):
no space I could wander into that is outside your
reach and ability to help me. There is no distance
I could run that would ever take me from your
loving protection. You are before me and behind me. Those
(01:35):
who run from you will not slumber. But tonight I
will sleep soundly in your sanctuary. As I lay down
and the day's burdens fade into memory, I pray you
(01:55):
would refresh me and feel with new purpose. In Jesus' name,
I pray, Amen, thank you for praying with me. I'm

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by Prey dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and twenty one.
Retreat to a quiet space where you can focus on
God and his word. Lie down flat on your back
or sit straight up in a chair or against a wall.
(03:32):
Relax your neck and shoulders, open up your chest. Rest
your hands by your side or on your lap with
your palms facing downward. Take a deep, cleansing breath. Feel
the stress in your muscles and joints. Exhale slowly and
(03:54):
release the tension in your body. Breathe in and owl slowly.
Meditate on the sovereignty of the Lord. Know as the Creator,
he is in complete control of our world and our lives.
Meditate on the faithfulness of the Lord. Know he is
(04:17):
always there to help you find comfort in his powerful
presence that follows you wherever you go. Close your eyes
and focus on the Lord's presence in your space. Breathe
in his peace. Breathe out your fears and worries. Breathe
(04:39):
in his strength. Breathe out your stress and anxiety. Feel
his mighty hands lift your burdens, lightening your heart and
quieting your mind. Take a deep breath, Exhale slowly, and
get ready to listen to tonight. The Bible reminds us
(05:03):
our help comes from the Lord, the creator of this world,
so we can let go of anything that hinders us
from finding rest and sleep securely in his hands. Psalm
one hundred twenty one from the King James version says,
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills. From
(05:23):
whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord
which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy
foot to be moved. He that keepeth Thee will not slumber. Behold,
he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The
Lord is thy keeper, The Lord is thy shade upon
(05:46):
thy right hand, The Sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee
from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord
shall preserve of thy going out and thy coming in,
from this time forth and even for evermore. While we
(06:07):
rest in Him, we can be assured that God does
not slumber nor sleep. He is always working on our behalf,
keeping watch over us and protecting us every day and night. Tonight,
surrender to the Lord and allow his presence to comfort
(06:28):
you and his strength to sustain you. Wreathe in and out, slowly,
focus your thoughts on God. Reflect on him as your creator,
the maker of the heaven and the earth. Know the
hands that formed the mountains are the hands that can
(06:49):
move the mountains or help you climb the mountains. Find
strength in his power. Find rest in his sovereignty. Take
a deeith breath. Bask in the powerful presence of the Lord.
Imagine him looking down on you, attentive to your needs,
(07:10):
aware of the dangers up ahead. Exhale slowly and allow
God's power to rest on you and prepare you for
your next steps on your journey. Know he will keep
you from evil, and he will guard your life in
his hands. You will sleep safely and securely through the night,
(07:34):
knowing He will never leave your side. Think of a
time when you put your hope in the creation rather
than in the Creator. Confess any idols you are struggling
to let go. Confess any doubts you have of God's
power and strength. Ask for his forgiveness and for his
(07:56):
help in looking to Him for deliverance rather than to
the things and the people in this world. Praise the
Lord for the times he has helped you and delivered you.
Praise the Lord for watching over you and protecting you
every day and night. Think of a person who needs
(08:17):
God's help and deliverance tonight. Pray God will intervene in
their circumstances. Pray they will feel His presence and protection
tonight as they sleep. Lift your requests to the Lord.
Look to the heavens and know your help comes from
the Lord, from the hands that made you. Know he
(08:39):
is upholding you with his hands. He will not let
you slip nor fall. Pray for God's help and a
specific area of your life. Pray you will trust Him
to deliver you at the right time. Pray for God
to be your strength tonight Pray you will depend on
(09:00):
Him for everything you need throughout the day and night.
Pray for God to protect you and your family as
you sleep. Pray you will put your trust in Him
and rest peacefully in his presence. Take a deep breath,
look to the Lord for provision, protection and peace. Exhale slowly,
(09:26):
and surrender to God. In this sweet surrender, close your
eyes and sleep peacefully, knowing the Lord is watching over
you through the night.
