Sleep Songs Podcast. If this episode blessed you, follow the
podcast so you never miss a nightly encouragement. Hello, I'm

(02:55):
Grace for Tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com. We
will be meditating on Psalm one hundred twenty three. Let's
lift our eyes, our minds, and our hearts to the
Lord as we prepare to receive his word. First, lie
down flat on your back. Use a pillow to elevate

(03:19):
your head. Choose a focal point on the ceiling to
get rid of all the distractions and help you focus
your eyes and thoughts on the Lord. Take a deep breath,
relax your neck and shoulders, Rest your hands gently by
your side. Exhale slowly, and release any tension in your body.

(03:45):
Look at your focal point and reflect on the goodness
of the Lord. Meditate on his love, on his mercy.
Look to the Lord for guidance, for rest and refreshment.
Breathe in and out slowly, surrender the stress and anxiety

(04:07):
that distracts your mind and weighs heavily on your heart.
With your next breath, lift it all to the Lord,
knowing he is strong enough and powerful enough to carry
your burdens and give you rest. Tonight, Look to the

(04:27):
Lord and dwell in his safety, where you can rest,
assured that God will rescue you, restore you, and refresh
you with his ultimate peace of heart and mind. Psalm
one hundred twenty three from the King James version says,
unto thee lift up mine eyes, o thou that dwellest

(04:50):
in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look
unto the hands of their masters, and as the eyes
of a maiden unto the hands of her mistress. So
our eyes wait upon the Lord, our God, until that
he have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O Lord,
have mercy upon us, for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

(05:15):
Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those
that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
When the enemy ridicules and mocks our faith, it can
be difficult to not take matters into our own hands,
but the Psalmist reminds us to keep our eyes on
God and patiently wait for his justice and mercy. Be

(05:39):
confident in the hope of the Lord, knowing he will
lift you up in due time. Breathe in and out slowly.
Look to the Lord, for he is good. Look to
the Lord for help and guidance. Know he will intervene
at just the right time. Take a deep breath, Allow

(06:02):
His hope and peace to fill your lungs. Exhale slowly,
and surrender control to the Lord, knowing he will keep
you safe and secure as you wait on him. Think
of a difficult time when you grow tired of waiting
and lost confidence in the Lord. Acknowledge any unconfessed sin

(06:26):
from this time, Confess any fears and doubts. Ask for
Him to continually restore your confidence in Him and strengthen
your faith during difficult times. Take a deep breath. Allow
his forgiveness to fill you with his love and grace.

(06:47):
Exhale slowly and feel his forgiveness flow through your veins,
cleansing you, purifying you, renewing you. Lift your spirits to
rejoice in the One who dwells in the heavens but
rules over the earth and all its people. Praise the

(07:07):
Lord for his salvation. Thank him for the ways he
has shown you mercy. Thank him for his love and grace.
Thank him for the times he has delivered you in
your past, and for the times he will help you
in your future. Think of a person who needs patience
and guidance as they wait on the Lord's help. Pray

(07:31):
God will comfort them with his love and lead them
to a place where they can rest safely and securely
until He intervenes in their circumstances. Call upon the Lord
and lift your requests to him. Put your confidence in
him and wait for him to act on your behalf.

(07:53):
Know his help is on the way. Pray you will
fix your eyes on the Lord and make every thought
obedient to him. Pray you will look to Him for
guidance as you take your next steps. Pray you will
trust God to administer his justice and mercy in your life.

(08:13):
Pray you will find peaceful rest as you surrender control
to him. Pray you will find rest in the Lord's
promise to help you and deliver you with his mercy
and love. Pray he will refresh your mind, body, and
soul to night with his hope. Breathe in and out slowly.

(08:37):
Be comforted by the presence of the Lord. Dwell in
his safety. Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
Exhale slowly and release any stress and tension. To soften
your muscles and joints. As you prepare for sleep, ask

(09:00):
God to fill your heart with his peace, to relax
your body and mind, and to soothe your soul.
