put my ultimate trust in you. I want to be
unwavering like you, consistent and immovable like a mighty mountain.
Establish my feet in your word and forge my character
(01:19):
like refined metal. Set me on your heel, and stretch
my roots down deep. I pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen,

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's Sleep song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on song one five. As we
get ready to listen to God's word, invite the presence
of God into your space. Close your eyes and take
(02:58):
a deep breath. Ask for the Lord to surround you
with his presence and to fill you with his peace.
Exhale slowly and allow his powerful presence to relax your body,
quiet your mind, and settle your heart. Take another deep breath.
(03:20):
As the presence of God surrounds you, ask him to
carry your burdens and alleviate your anxiety. Exhale slowly and
release the stress and anxiety from today. Feel his presence
lift the weight of your burdens, relax in your neck
(03:41):
and shoulders, lightening your heart. Focus on the presence of God.
Meditate on his power and strength. Remember he is the
sovereign God, the maker of mountains, that rules over all
the earth and all its people. No, you can put
(04:03):
your trust in Him and he will be your provision
and protection. There are so many dangers and uncertainties in
our world, but the Bible tells us we can be
certain God will protect his people every day and night.
Psalm one hundred twenty five from the King James version
(04:24):
says they that trust in the Lord shall be as
mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. As
the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is
round about his people from henceforth even forever. For the
rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot
(04:45):
of the righteous. Lest the righteous put forth their hands
unto iniquity. Do good, o Lord, unto those that be good,
and to them that are upright in their hearts, as
for such a turn aside unto their crookd ways. The
Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity.
But peace shall be upon Israel. Putting our trust in
(05:10):
God empowers us and strengthens us to stand firm in
our faith until the very end. Rooted in His love,
grace and truth, we cannot be shaken by the forces
of this world. Tonight, relax in the presence of the Lord,
and allow him to fill you with his love, hope
(05:33):
and peace. Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes
and imagine a fortress surrounding a city, keeping its walls
safe and secure. Walk through the city and see the
people move around with confidence and ease, knowing they are
(05:55):
protected from the evil outside of their walls. Oh, God
is our fortress, and we are his holy city, protected
by His might and power, protected by His sovereignty and strength,
protected by His righteousness and love. Take a deep breath.
(06:17):
Meditate on the sovereignty of the Lord. Know you are
safe in his strong, capable hands. Exhale slowly and relinquish
your control, putting your confidence in His power and his strength.
Reflect on several areas of your life. Think about in
(06:39):
whom or in what you put your trust. Think about
the places you go and the things you do to
find personal satisfaction and fulfillment. Think about the role God
plays in your life right now, Confess any areas where
you are putting your trust in some or someone other
(07:01):
than God. Confess any idols you are chasing. Right now,
ask God to turn your heart back to him and
to help you put your trust completely in him. Ask
for Him to transform your desires and to help you
find satisfaction in Him alone. Take the deep breath. Lift
(07:26):
up your sin and shame to your creator, your redeemer.
Exhale slowly and feel his love and forgiveness flow through you,
freeing you, cleansing you, renewing you. Rejoice in the kingdom
of the Lord, for it cannot be shaken. Praise his
(07:48):
sovereignty and strength. Thank Him for the times he has
protected you. Thank Him for the salvation that secures your
future and provides a firm foundation for your present. Think
of a person who needs God's protection tonight. Pray God
will make his presence known to them and will help
(08:10):
them rest safely and securely in His hands. Lay your
requests before the Lord. Ask for his provision and protection.
Know he will do good to those who love him.
Pray for God to reveal the wickedness in this world
and to administer his justice. Pray for protection from the
(08:34):
vulnerable and the oppressed. Pray for God to bless you
and your family. Pray he will lead you down his
path of hope and peace. Pray for God to protect
you and your loved ones. Pray you will rest peacefully
knowing you are safe and secure in his hands. Take
(08:58):
a deep, cleansing breath to relax you feel the clean
air rejuvenate your lungs. Exhale slowly and feel the air
flow throughout your body, restoring you, refreshing. You take another
deep breath as you exhale. Release any stress and tension
(09:23):
in your body. As you relax, allow God's presence to
comfort you and to soothe your soul
