Speaker 1 (00:03):
I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwine your
mind and spirit with tonight's sleep. Psalm Give thanks to
the Lord, for he is good, for his loving kindness
endures forever. Psalm one thirty six, Verse one. Dear Lord,

(00:28):
as I laid down to rest, I am humbled by
your might and power. You created the heavens and the
earth and all that dwells within your hands, crafted the stars,

(00:48):
and wove the fabric of the universe. Yet you listen
to my humble prayers and care for me daily. Tonight,
I thank you for your love that surpasses all understanding.

(01:10):
Your steadfast love endures forever, and I am grateful for
this gift. As I close my eyes eyes rest, knowing
that your power is greater than any storm, the thrones

(01:32):
of governments, and the shifting sands of culture. You are
my rock, my salvation, my comfort. May I sleep in peace,
encircled in your loving arms, and wake with renewed strength

(01:59):
to bring honor to your name. Thank you, Lord for
your steadfast love that never fades or diminishes. May it
be my guiding light now and forever more. In Jesus' name. Amen,

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm one hundred and thirty six.
Take a deep breath. Feel your lungs expand as the
air flows into your body. Exhale slowly and relax your

(03:49):
neck and shoulders. Rest your hands gently by your side
and release the stress in your muscles and joints. As
your body relaxes. Clear your mind of any distractions. Close
your eyes and reflect on who God is. Remember He

(04:11):
is your provider and protector. In him, all your needs
will be met. In his word, your life will be preserved.
Breathe in and out slowly. Ask God to open your
mind and heart as you listen to his word. Ask

(04:33):
for His voice to guide you to a safe, quiet
place where you can rest peacefully throughout the night. The
Bible reminds us God's love never fails. Tonight, find comfort
in this psalm that tells a beautiful love story of
God pursuing and delivering his people. Psalm one hundred and

(04:58):
thirty six from the King James version says, O give
thanks unto the Lord, for he is good for his
mercy endureth forever, O give thanks unto the God of
Gods for his mercy endureth forever, O give thanks unto
the Lord of Lords for his mercy endureth forever, to

(05:21):
him who alone doeth great wonders for his mercy endureth forever,
to him that by wisdom made the heavens for his
mercy endureth forever, to him that stretched out the earth
above the waters for his mercy endureth forever, to him
that made great lights for his mercy endureth forever, the

(05:46):
sun to rule by day for his mercy endureth forever,
the moon and stars to rule by night for his
mercy endureth forever, to him that smote Egypt in their
first born for his mercy endureth forever and brought out
Israel from among them for his mercy endureth forever, with

(06:07):
a strong hand and with a stretched out arm, for
his mercy endureth forever to him, which divided the Red
Sea into parts for his mercy endureth forever, and made
Israel to pass through the midst of it for his
mercy endureth forever, But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in

(06:28):
the Red Sea for his mercy endureth forever to him,
which led his people through the wilderness for his mercy
endureth forever. To him, which smote great kings for his
mercy endureth forever, and slew famous kings for his mercy
endureth forever. Sion, king of Amorites, for his mercy endureth forever,

(06:55):
and og the King of Bashan, for his mercy endureth forever,
and gave their land for unhertage for his mercy endureth forever,
even an heritage unto Israel, his servant, for his mercy
endureth forever, who remembered us in our low estate for
his mercy endureth forever, and hath redeemed us from our

(07:19):
enemies for his mercy endureth forever, Who giveth food to
all flesh for his mercy. Endureth forever. Oh, give thanks
unto the God of Heaven for his mercy. Endureth forever.
Meditate on the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. Meditate

(07:41):
on his love that never ends and his mercy that
is new every morning. As you focus your thoughts on God,
your heart and mind will be filled with his joy
and peace, and you will find rest for your body
and soul. Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes

(08:04):
and imagine a dark night sky filled with twinkling stars
and a bright full moon. Marvel at the beauty of
the sky and the stars. Rejoice in the wondrous creation
of the Lord. Know his light guides you in the
day and shines upon you in the night, reminding you

(08:27):
of his presence, reminding you he is with you on
the brightest of days and on the darkest of nights.
Take a deep breath as your chest rises. Visualize the
Lord rising against the enemy and delivering you from the
evil in our world. Exhale slowly and put your trust

(08:52):
in God's power and strength. Know his mighty hands can
deliver you from anything that tries to you down into
the pit of destruction and despair. Rest in his salvation,
knowing you are secure in his hands. Think of a
time when you doubted God's love for you. Reflect on

(09:15):
how you felt and what you did when you could
not feel his love. Confess any sin, Confess any fears
and doubts you still have. Take a deep breath, Allow
his forgiveness and love to wash over you. Exhale slowly

(09:36):
and feel His love flow through your veins, removing your doubts,
renewing your faith. Think of the time when you felt
God's love the most. Reflect on that moment. Allow the
joy of that time to flow into your heart and

(09:57):
sink into the depths of your soul. Feel your heart
and spirit be filled with praise for God. Rejoice in
the unfailing love of the Lord. Rejoice in his faithfulness.
Thank him for the times he has helped you and
delivered you. Thank Him for rescuing you and redeeming you

(10:20):
with his salvation. Think of a person who needs to
feel God's love to night. Pray he will soften their
hearts towards him. Pray they will hear his tender whispers
of love in the darkness of the night. Lift your
requests to the Lord. Tell him about your struggles. Tell

(10:44):
him about what you need and what you desire. Know
he is your helper, deliverer, and provider. Trust him to
take care of you. Pray for God to guide you
with his wisdom and understanding. Pray he will lead you
to a safe, secure path where you can rest in

(11:07):
His glory and power. Pray for God to provide for
you in a specific area of your life. Pray you
will find satisfaction in His provision. Pray for God to
deliver you from your fears and worries. Pray he will
keep you in his perfect peace. As you sleep tonight,

(11:30):
close your eyes and take a deep, cleansing breath. Exhale
slowly and relax your body, softening every part from your
head to your fingers and toes. As you relax, find
comfort in His presence and refreshment in his peace.
