(00:23):
Oh Lord, what a glorious thing to be known by you.
You are acquainted with all my intimate thoughts, most significant failures,
and fervent hope for the future. You intricately wo me
together in my mother's womb and mapped out greatness for
(00:47):
me to walk in. I take great comfort in your
intimate presence in my life. Wherever I am, you are there.
Whether I sin to the heights of success or descend
into the depths of despair, you are there. Your love
(01:09):
is always accessible, your comfort is always available. My worth
is in you, and my destiny is in your will.
As I lay down to sleep tonight, I pray that
(01:30):
you would search my heart for iniquity and cleanse me
from corrupting thoughts, draw out all the apathy's shame and
sin keeping me from walking in your ways. In Jesus' name, Amen,

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's Sleep Song by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on p. One hundred thirty nine.
Retreat to a quiet space, free of distractions, where you
can focus on God's word and feel the power of
His presence. Get in a comfortable position. Make sure your
(03:17):
back is flat and straight. Take a deep breath. Allow
the clean air to fill your lungs. Exhale slowly and
relax your neck and shoulders. Soften your muscles and joints,
and rest your hands gently by your side. Breathe in
(03:39):
and out slowly. Focus your thoughts on God as the Creator.
Close your eyes and think of traveling to the most
beautiful place you have seen in all of God's creation.
Visualize you are lying down in green pastures or sitting
atop a majestic mountain. Take a deep breath, soak in
(04:06):
the surroundings of this beautiful peace of God's work. Soak
in the light of God's presence. Exhale slowly, and allow
his beauty to lighten your heart and brighten your spirit.
Open your heart to hear God's word. Ask him to
(04:27):
speak to you through tonight's Psalm. Listen for his gentle
voice to lead you to his safe, secure path, where
you can rest peacefully through the night. The Bible reminds
us our God is all seeing, all knowing, all powerful,
and he is always by our side, taking delight in
(04:50):
his creation, guiding us with his light and protecting us
with his mighty hands. Psalm one hundred and thirty nine
from the King James version says, O, Lord, thou hast
searched me and known me. Thou knowest my down sitting
and my uprising. Thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou
(05:12):
compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted
with all my ways. For there is not a word
in my tongue. But lo, o, Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me beside and before, and laid thine
hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me.
(05:35):
It is high I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall
I go from Thy spirit, or whither shall I flee
from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou
art there. If I make my bed in hell, behold
thou art there. If I take the wings of the
morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
(05:59):
even they shall thy hand lead me, and thy right
hand shall hold me. If I say, surely the darkness
shall cover me, even the night shall be light about me. Yea,
the darkness hideth not from THEE, but the night shineth
as the day. The darkness and the light are both
alike to THEE. For thou hast possessed my reins, thou
(06:23):
hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise THEE,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy works,
and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was
not hid from THEE. When I was made in secret
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
(06:43):
Thine eyes did see my substance. Yet, being unperfect, and
in thy book all my members were written, which in
continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious. Also are thy thoughts unto me, O God,
how great is the sum of them? If I should
(07:04):
count them, they are more in number than the sand.
When I awake, I am still with THEE. Surely thou
wilt slay the wicked, O God, Depart me from therefore,
ye bloody men, For they speak against THEE wickedly, and
thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I
hate them, O, Lord, that hate THEE? And am I
(07:26):
not grieved with those that rise up against THEE? I
hate them with perfect hatred. I count them mine enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me
and know my thoughts, and see if there be any
wicked way in me, and lead me in the way
of lasting Tonight, find comfort in the almighty presence of God.
(07:51):
Even on the darkest night. His light will shine upon you,
even into the depths of the earth. He will follow you.
Know God is with you wherever you go, guiding you,
loving you, protecting you by day and night. Breathe in
and out, slowly, bask in the glory of your Creator.
(08:17):
Be filled with his everlasting love. Rest assured that He
fully knows you and fully loves you. Know you were
perfectly crafted by your creator's hands, fearfully and wonderfully made,
and he takes delight in you. Be confident in your Creator.
(08:38):
Allow his delight and love for you to warm your
heart and lift your spirit. Take a deep breath, be
still before the Lord, Meditate on his word, Ponder his
ways and thoughts. Exhale slowly, and allow his truth to
(08:58):
nourish your bones and restore your body. Take delight in
his commands. Know his ways are higher than our ways,
and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Know they
will help you rise above evil in this world. Invite
the Lord to search your heart and thoughts. Ask him
(09:21):
to reveal any sin in your life. Breathe in and
out slowly. Confess and repent any sin he has revealed
to you. Ask for his forgiveness and for his help
in following his ways. Take a deep, cleansing breath. Allow
(09:43):
his forgiveness to wash away your sin and shame. Exhale slowly,
and surrender to the Lord's will for your life. Knowing
in him you will dwell in safety and peace. Tonight,
marvel at the beauty of the Creator and his creation.
Praise him for the way he made you find joy
(10:06):
in the plans He has for you. Thank Him for
always being with you. Thank Him for his protection and
provision in your life. Think of a person who needs
to have confidence in the way God made them. Pray
God will reveal his special purpose for their life. Pray
(10:27):
they will rest in the love and delight of their creator.
Come before the Lord and lay your requests before him.
Put your trust in Him to provide for your needs
and to satisfy the desires of your heart. He knows
what you need before you even ask. Pray for God
(10:49):
to guide you into his path of life and righteousness.
Pray he will help you submit to his ways and
follow him all the days of your life. Pray for
God to pour out his blessing and favor upon you
and your family. Pray your loved ones will choose to
follow him. Pray for God to protect you as you sleep.
(11:14):
Pray He will sustain you and strengthen you as you
rest in Him. To night, take a deep breath, Rest
in the presence of the Lord. Exhale slowly and relax
your body from your head to your toes. Feel His
light in your room, keeping you warm and safe. As
(11:37):
you relax, allow God's peace to fill your body, mind,
and heart and help you experience deep, RESTful sleep tonight
