Speaker 2 (03:07):
Hello, I'm grace for to night's sleep Psalm by Prey
dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm thirty one.
Before you meditate on God's word, get in a comfortable position.
You can lie down flat on your back and rest
your arms by your side, or you can sit in
(03:29):
your favorite chair with good posture, sitting up with your
back straight and your shoulders relaxed, resting your hands in
your lap, and planting your feet flat on the floor.
Once you are in a comfortable position, breathe in and
out slowly and close your eyes. Imagine the presence of
(03:54):
God filling your room. Focus your thoughts on his goodness,
on his mirth, on his love. Remember he is the
all powerful one that knows you, sees you, and sustains
you through the night. He will never leave you, nor
(04:14):
forsake you. He will always be by your side. Breathe
in his power and strength. Breathe out today's worries and anxieties.
Know he came to bring you a life filled with joy, hope,
and peace. Breathe in and out slowly release any tension
(04:40):
in your muscles. Open your mind and heart to hear
his voice. Ask for him to speak to you through
his word and reveal his truth to you. The Bible
tells us there is nothing God won't do for you
if you put your trust in him. To knight, commit
(05:01):
yourself to the Lord, and know you will find strength
and hope in him. Psalm thirty one from the King
James version says in thee O Lord, do I put
my trust, Let me never be ashamed. Deliver me in
thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me, deliver me speedily.
(05:25):
Be thou my strong roc, for an house of defense
to save me. For Thou art my roc and my fortress. Therefore,
for thy namesake, lead me and guide me. Pull me
out of the net that they have laid privily for me.
For Thou art my strength into thine hand. I commit
(05:48):
my spirit. Thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, God of Truth.
I have hated them that regard lying vanities. But I
trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice
in thy mercy. For thou hast considered my trouble. Thou
hast known my soul in adversities, and hast not shut
(06:11):
me up in the hand of the enemy. Thou hast
set my feet in a large room. Have mercy upon me,
O Lord, for I am in trouble. Mine eye is
consumed with grief. Yea my soul and my belly. For
my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing.
(06:33):
My strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones
are consumed. I was a reproach among all mine enemies,
but especially among my neighbors, and a fear to mine acquaintance.
That they did see me without fled from me. I
(06:54):
am forgotten, as a dead man, out of mind. I
am like a broken vessel, for I have heard the
slander of many. Fear was on every side while they
took counsel together against me. They devised to take away
my life. But I trusted in thee, O Lord, I said,
(07:15):
Thou art, my God, My times are in thy hand.
Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies. And from
them that persecute me, Make thy face to shine upon
thy servant. Save me for thy mercy's sake. Let me
not be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon thee.
(07:37):
Let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent
in the grave. Let the lying lips be put to silence,
which be grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. O,
how great is thy goodness which thou hast laid up
for them that fear THEE, which thou hast wrought for
(07:58):
them that trust in THEE before the sons of men,
Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence.
From the pride of man, Thou shalt keep them secretly
in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues. Blessed be
the Lord, for he hath shewed me his marvelous kindness
in a strong city. For I said, in my haste,
(08:21):
I am cut off before thine eyes. Nevertheless, thou heardest
the voice of my supplications when I cried unto THEE. O,
love the Lord, all ye his saints. For the Lord
preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer be
of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart. All
(08:44):
ye that hope in the Lord. God's word should be
our source of comfort to night, because in his word
we are reminded of his faithfulness, mercy and love. No.
Following his word will bring light to your eyes, nourishment
to your body, and refreshment to your soul. Take a
(09:06):
deep breath, breathe in His truth, and breathe out your
stress from to day. Know you can completely trust God
with everything in your life. Inhale slowly as your chest rises,
Lift up everything you have to the Lord. Exhale slowly
(09:31):
as your chest falls. Completely surrender your life to Him
and relinquish your control. Letting everything go releases the tension
in your body, softening your joints and your fingers and toes.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
No.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Fully committing to the Lord will help you find deep,
peaceful rest as your body relaxes in this sweet surrender,
Meditate on the strength of God. Close your eyes and
imagine a rock that never weathers in the storm, a
(10:09):
strong fortress that never crumbles in the face of the enemy.
Know the Lord is your rock, your fortress, made to
uphold you and protect you through the darkness of the night.
In his mercy, he will rescue you. In his faithfulness,
(10:30):
he will preserve you. Believe you are safe and secure
in Him tonight, so that you can sleep peacefully during
the night. Think of something or someone in your life
that you have put in the place of God. Confess
any idols that you worship and depend upon in your life.
(10:54):
Ask for God's forgiveness. Ask him to help you worship
Him only and to help you put Him above all
else in your life. Take a deep breath. Allow his
mercy to wash over you as you exhale. Release any
(11:14):
shame you are experiencing. Know He will save you in
his unfailing love for you. Think of a time when
you experienced God's faithfulness. Thank Him for delivering you from
your difficulties. Praise Him for being your rock you can
always count on. Think of some one who needs to
(11:37):
experience God's protection. To night, Pray God will preserve them
through the night. As you settle for the night, lift
up your requests to the Lord. Know he hears your
cry and is faithful to answer your prayers. Be strong
(11:57):
and hopeful in the Lord, Rest securely in him. To night,
Pray God will protect those who are being persecuted in
His name. Pray for their families to find comfort in
His presence as they sleep. Pray God will teach you
his ways and guide you down the path of life
(12:19):
and righteousness. Pray you will remain in Him and find
peaceful rest to night. Pray God will give you strength
and courage when you face adversity in his path. Pray
he will rejuvenate your body and renew your mind to
help you feel refreshed in the morning to night. Put
(12:42):
your trust in God. Know he will restore you through
the night. Relax your body and take a deep breath
as you exhale. Release any tension and stress that is
still lingering from to day. As you rest in His presence,
(13:02):
allow God to give you rest that is deep and
peaceful as He gives you life that is abundant and joyful.
