Speaker 2 (02:33):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleepsalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm fifty five. Take a
deep cleansing breath to relax your body. Exhale slowly and
relax your muscles. With your next deep breath, focus on

(02:53):
relieving the stress in any muscles or joints that are
still tense in heal's slowly and contract the areas of
your body that feel tense. Hold your breath for a
few seconds. Exhale slowly and relax your muscles and joints.
Relax your neck and shoulders. Close your eyes, and try

(03:19):
to control your breathing to help calm your mind. Breathe
in and out slowly. Concentrate on taking longer, deeper breaths
to clear your mind of any distractions. The more you
focus on your breathing, the quieter your mind will become.

(03:42):
With your next breath, focus on the oxygen flowing throughout
your body, rejuvenating you and restoring you. Meditate on the
goodness and faithfulness of God. Know he is the one
that never changes. You can always count on his promise

(04:02):
to love you and sustain you. Know He is ready
to lift your burdens and give you rest for your mind, body,
and soul. With your next exhale, surrender to day's worries
and anxieties to him. Open your mind and heart to
hear his voice. Ask for him to speak to you

(04:25):
through his word. Know his voice will lead you to
a safe, quiet place where you can rest in Him.
When we face the problems and pressures of this life,
it can be tempting to run away and leave behind
our pain and hurt. But the Bible tells us we

(04:46):
don't have to flee. With God by our side, we
can face our troubles with his strength, lift our burdens
to find peace, and call on His name to find
hope to night. Let's find strength and solace in God's
word and in his presence. Psalm fifty five from the

(05:09):
King James's version says, give ear to my prayer, O God,
and hide not thyself from my supplication. Attend unto me
and hear me. I mourn in my complaint and make
a noise because of the voice of the enemy, because
of the oppression of the wicked. For they cast iniquity

(05:30):
upon me, and in wrath they hate me. My heart
is sore pained within me, and the terrors of death
are fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me,
and horror hath overwhelmed me. And I said, oh, that
I had wings like a dove, For then I would
fly away and be at rest. Lo then would I

(05:54):
wander far off and remain in the wilderness, saylah, I
would hate in my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
Destroy o lord, and divide their tongues. For I have
seen violence and strife in the city day and night.
They go about it upon the walls thereof mischief also,

(06:16):
and sorrow are in the midst of it. Wickedness is
in the midst thereof deceit and guile. Depart not from
her streets. For it was not an enemy that reproached me,
then I could have borne it. Neither was it he
that hated me, that did magnify himself against me, Then
I would have hid myself from him. But it was

(06:39):
thou a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
We took sweet counsel together and walked unto the House
of God and company. Let death seize upon them, and
let them go down quick into hell, for wickedness is
in their dwelling and among them. As for me, I

(07:02):
will call upon God and the Lord shall save me.
Evening and morning, and at noon will I pray and
cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. He hath
delivered my soul in peace from the bottle that it
was against me, For there were many with me. God

(07:22):
shall hear and afflict them, even he that abideth of
old saylah, because they have no changes. Therefore they fear
not God. He hath put forth his hands against such
as be at peace with him. He hath broken his covenant.
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but

(07:44):
war was in his heart. His words were softer than oil,
yet they were drawn swords. Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the
righteous to be moved, But thou, o, God, shalt bring
them down into the pit of destruction. Bloody and deceitful

(08:05):
men shall not live out half their days. But I
will trust in THEE when we face opposition from those
around us, or when we have been betrayed by a
loved one, we might want to leave everyone and everything
behind to escape our painful reality. But rather than running away,

(08:27):
we should run to God and quiet our minds and
hearts in prayer and worship to find relief from our
pain and hurt. Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly and
release any tension in your body. Close your eyes and
focus on your breathing. Breathe in and out slowly. Concentrate

(08:53):
on your chest, rising and falling with each inhale and exhale.
As your mind and heart quiet down, focus on God
as your savior, your protector, your sustainer. Visualize God restoring
and redeeming everything that has been broken. Breathe in and

(09:18):
out slowly. As you lay down to sleep tonight. Know
God provides you a firm foundation on which you can rest.
Just trust in Him, lean on him, put your faith
in Him alone. No, he never changes. He is the

(09:39):
same God that created the world, the same God that
sent his son to redeem us, and the same God
that strengthens us and sustains us. Today. With your next exhale,
surrender everything to him. Think of a time when a
close friend or family member betrayed you. Confess any unforgiveness, anger,

(10:03):
or bitterness that is still in your heart. Ask God
to help you forgive others the way He forgives you.
Take a deep breath. Allow God's grace and love to
fill your heart as you exhale. Release any guilt and
shame you are experiencing. Praise God for his goodness and faithfulness.

(10:28):
Thank Him for never changing and being the one you
can always count on. Thank Him for sustaining you every
day and night. Think of someone who is struggling to
cope with the pain of a broken relationship or a
betrayal by a friend. Pray God will comfort them to
night and help them find rest. Cast your cares on

(10:52):
the Lord, for he loves you. Know he will sustain
you. You will never be shaken because He is your foundation.
Pray for God to expose the corruption in your community
and country. Pray Ye will protect you and sustain those
living in areas being destroyed by violence and strife. Pray

(11:15):
for God to heal the peaces of your heart that
have been broken by others. Pray Ye would help you
forgive others so that you may find peace and rest.
Pray for God to help you put your trust in Him.
No matter what pray, He will lift your burdens tonight
and help you experience a deep sleep that rejuvenates your body, mind,

(11:40):
and soul. Take a deep breath as you exhale, release
any tension and stress that is still lingering from today.
Know God is with you tonight, protecting you and sustaining you.
As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh your soul

(12:03):
and bring you peace to help you rest through the night.
