I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwine your
mind and spirit with tonight's sleep Psalm. But I will
sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of
your loving kindness in the morning, for you have been
my high tower of refuge in the day of my distress.
(00:27):
Psalm fifty nine, verse sixteen, Oh, my Strength. As I
lay myself down to rest, I seek your divine presence
to guide me through hump this night. May the peace
of your immeasurable power overshadow my fears and doubts, and
(00:52):
may your matchless grace guard my slumber. You alone are
my fortress, and I find refuge in your steadfast love.
As I close my eyes, I trust in your promise
to meet me in the night and to let me
(01:12):
look in triumph on my enemies. In the stillness of
this moment, I surrender my anxieties and apprehensions to you.
I place my tomorrow in your hands, and I trust
(01:33):
at whatever it brings, your unwavering, stetfastness will sustain me. God,
grant me the serenity to rest in your love and
the wisdom to discern your will. May my dreams be
(01:56):
filled with visions of your glory and my heart be
comforted by your holy presence. And when tomorrow comes, may
I rise with renewed strength and courage to face the
challenges ahead. For in you, oh my God, I find

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's sleepsong by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm fifty nine. Begin this
meditation by retreating to a quiet place and getting comfortable
to listen to the Word of God. You can lie
down flat on your back or sit straight up in
(03:53):
a chair. Lay your hands gently by your side or
gently on your lap, close your eyes and inhale and
exhale slowly through your nose. Relax your neck, and shoulders.
Release any tension in your muscles with each breath. Feel
(04:16):
your heart settle and your mind quiet. Open your eyes
and invite God's presence in your space as you meditate
on His word. Focus your thoughts on who God is,
the almighty one that sustains you, protects you, and delivers you.
(04:37):
Know He came to bring you rest for your mind, body,
and soul. With your next exhale, let go of everything
that is weighing you down and surrender to the Lord.
Breathe in and out slowly. Ask God to speak to
you through his word. Allow his truth to come for
(05:00):
you and bring you hope and peace. Open your mind
and heart so that you will hear his voice and
allow him to guide you to a place where you
can dwell in his safety. The darkness of the night
can exacerbate our fears and worries, but if we take
refuge in God, his love will be our light and
(05:24):
his faithfulness will be our strength. Psalm fifty nine from
the King James version says, Deliver me from mine enemies, O,
My God, defend me from them that rise up against me.
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me
from bloody men. For lo they lie in wait for
(05:46):
my soul. The mighty are gathered against me, not for
my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord, they run
and prepare themselves without my fault. Awake to help me.
And behold thou therefore, O Lord, God of Hosts, O
God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen. Not
(06:08):
be merciful to any wicked transgressors. Saylah, they return at evening.
They make a noise like a dog, and go round
about the city. Behold they belch out with their mouth.
Swords are in their lips. For who say they doth hear?
But Thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them. Thou shalt
(06:31):
have all the heathen and derision. Because of His strength.
Will I wait upon thee. For God is my defense.
The God of my mercy shall prevent me. God shall
let me see my desire upon mine enemies. Slay them
not lest my people forget. Scatter them by thy power
(06:52):
and bring them down, O Lord, our shield. For the
sin of their mouth and the words of the their lips.
Let them even be taken in their pride, and for
cursing and lying which they speak, consume them in wrath.
Consume them that they may not be and let them
know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of
(07:15):
the earth, Sayllah. And at evening let them return, and
let them make a noise like a dog, and go
round about the city. Let them wander up and down
from meat and grudge if they not be satisfied. But
I will sing of Thy power. Yea, I will sing
aloud of thy mercy in the morning, for thou hast
(07:35):
been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.
Unto thee o my strength will I sing. For God
is my defense and the God of my mercy. The
Bible reminds us God is our fortress, our refuge in
times of trouble. We can always rely on Him to
(07:56):
strengthen us and deliver us. He will detect us from
those who seek to harm us, and he will rescue
us when we face trouble. He will defend us when
the enemy accuses us. Tonight, find joy in the strength
of the Lord and find rest in his presence. Take
(08:17):
a deep breath as your chest expands. Think about the
Lord filling you with his peace, hope, and strength to
help you sleep well tonight and face tomorrow. Exhale slowly
and surrender any fears and worries you have about tonight
and tomorrow. Take another deep breath. Exhale and release any
(08:43):
tension in your muscles. Allow God's truth to nourish your
body and mind. Take delight in God's word. Meditate on
his love and faithfulness. Allow his love to bring you
home on this dark night. Find comfort in his faithfulness,
(09:06):
knowing he will always help you and save you. Rejoice
in the strength of the Lord. Take a deep breath
as you exhale, visualize God striking down your fears and
worries with his mighty hands. Know these same hands will
uphold you and preserve you through the night. Think of
(09:29):
a time when you doubt it God's love and faithfulness.
Pray he will help you turn to him in times
of trouble. Take a deep breath. Allow God's forgiveness to
remove any guilt and shame you are carrying with you.
Ask Him to renew your spirit and to help you
(09:50):
find rest in His mercy and love. Praise God for
his mercy and love. Praise Him for his faithfulness. Thank
Him for the strength and confidence he gives you. Thank
him for the times he has helped you. Think of
someone who needs God's strength to face the difficulties in
(10:12):
their life. Pray God will help them in their troubles
and deliver them from their fears and worries so that
they may find rest. Cast your anxieties on the Lord.
Know he cares for you and He will deliver you
from your troubles. Pray for God to help those who
(10:33):
are being persecuted. Pray they will find strength and rest
in Him. To night, pray for God to deliver you
from your troubles and your enemies. Pray God will sustain
you through the night. Pray for God to help you
find rest for to night and strength for tomorrow. Pray
(10:54):
He will help you experience a deep sleep that will
restore you and readew. You take a deep breath as
you exhale, release any stress lingering from to day. As
your body relaxes, allow God to keep you in His
perfect peace as you rest throughout the night.
