Speaker 2 (03:15):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm sixty. The darkness and
stillness of the night can make us feel alone. Our
anxious thoughts are sometimes our only company. As you lay

(03:36):
down to sleep, invite the presence of God into your
space and allow him to refresh your mind, body, and soul.
Know you are never alone. God is always with you. No,
He is the almighty, sovereign Lord who has the power
and strength to lift your burdens and give you rest.

(04:01):
Take a deep breath. Feel his power and strength fill
your lungs. Hold your breath for a few seconds, Exhale
slowly and feel his power and strength lift your burdens
from your shoulders, relaxing your body, lightening your heart, calming

(04:23):
your mind. Breathe in and out slowly. Feel the power
of His presence. Calm your mind, soul, and spirit with
his joy, hope, and peace. Meditate on his goodness, on
his faithfulness. Breathe in and out slowly. Open your mind

(04:49):
and heart to hear his voice. Ask for him to
speak to you through his word. Know his voice will
lead you to a quiet place where you can rest
safely and securely in His power and strength. When our
circumstances seem out of control, the Bible reminds us of

(05:10):
God's sovereignty and of his power to do mighty things.
To night, put your trust in God and find rest,
knowing he is in complete control of your life and
of our world. Psalm sixty from the King James's version, says,
O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us,

(05:35):
thou hast been displeased. Oh, turn thyself to us again.
Thou hast made the earth to tremble, thou hast broken it.
Heal the breaches thereof for it shaketh. Thou hast shewed
thy people hard things. Thou hast made us to drink
the wine of astonishment. Thou hast given a banner to

(05:58):
them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because
of the truth Selah, that thy beloved may be delivered.
Save with thy right hand, and hear me, God hath
spoken in his holiness. I will rejoice. I will divide
Shechem and meet out of the valley of Sukhote. Gilead

(06:23):
is mine, Gilead is mine, and Manssa is mine. Athrom
also is the strength of mine head. Judah is my lawgiver,
Moab is my wash pot over Edam, will I cast
out my shoe Phelictia triumph Thou because of me, who

(06:44):
will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead
me to Edam? Wilt not thou, o God, which hadst
cast us off? And thou, o God, which didst not
go out with our army. Give us help from trouble,
for vain is the help of man. Through God, we

(07:07):
shall do valiantly, for he it is that shall tread
down our enemies. Knowing God is in control can help
us find freedom from our fears and worries, and help
us find hope and peace in the middle of chaos.
We never have to face the darkness in our world alone.

(07:29):
God is there to help us and guide us through
every situation we face. Breathe in and out slowly. Know
you can rest safely and securely in God's mighty hands.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath. As your
chest rises, imagine God lifting his right hand to deliver

(07:54):
you and protect you. Exhale slowly and trust your enemy
and troubles will fall at the power and strength of
his hands. Take a deep breath. When your chest fully expands.
Exhale slowly, releasing any tension in your body. Focus on

(08:17):
God's promise to help us overcome the evil in this world.
Under the banner of His truth, we will be victorious
over the enemy and over our fears and anxiety. Rest
in His sovereignty. Find peace in His mercy and love
for you. Acknowledge any unconfessed sin before the Lord. Confess

(08:44):
any doubts you have of God's power and sovereignty. Ask
for his forgiveness and for his help to turn back
to him. Take a deep breath. Allow God's mercy and
love to wash over you. Exhale and release any guilt
and shame you are experiencing. Know He is always faithful

(09:07):
to us, even when we are not faithful to him.
Praise God for his strength. Thank him for the times
he has been faithful to you. Thank him for the
times he has protected you and delivered you. Think of
someone who needs God's deliverance tonight. Pray he will intervene

(09:30):
in their circumstances and turn their heart toward him. Pray
they will find strength and hope in Him so they
can sleep peacefully throughout the night. Lay your requests before
the Lord. Tell him about your troubles and struggles. Know
he is always faithful and he will help you when

(09:52):
you call upon him. Pray for evil in this world
to be revealed. Pray God will admit to his justice
in our world and will have mercy on those who
love him. Pray for God's protection as you seek to
do his will in a fallen world where so many
oppose his word. Pray he will give you strength to

(10:16):
do what is right. Pray for God's help in a
difficult situation in your life. Pray you will put your
trust in Him and find rest tonight in knowing he
is in complete control. Take a deep breath as you exhale,
release any stress lingering from to day. As your body relaxes,

(10:42):
allow God to keep you in his perfect peace as
you rest throughout the night.
