Speaker 2 (02:55):
Hello, I'm Grace for tonight's sleep song. Pray dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm sixty two. Retreat to
a quiet space where you can lie down flat on
your back. Place one hand gently on your chest and
one hand gently on your stomach. Breathe in slowly through
(03:20):
your nose, and watch your stomach rise as it fills
with air. Notice your chest does not move when you inhale.
Hold your breath for a few seconds. Exhale slowly through
your nose and watch your stomach fall as your chest
remains still. Take another deep breath through your nose. Imagine
(03:47):
you are inhaling God's perfect peace as your stomach rises.
Imagine his piece spreading throughout your body. Exhale slowly and
breathe out your stress and tension. Close your eyes and
focus on God's love and faithfulness. Reflect on the difficult
(04:11):
times where you felt the presence of God in a
deep way. Take a deep breath and feel his presence
fill your body and mind. Exhale slowly and allow his
presence to soothe your soul. Open your mind and heart
to hear God's word. Ask God to remove any distractions
(04:35):
from your mind and from your surroundings so that you
can fully focus on him. Ask Him to speak to
you through Tonight's palm. We will have troubles in this world,
but God's word assures us we will never have to
face them alone. Tonight, put your hope in the Lord
(04:56):
and wait patiently for him to deliver you. Psalm sixty
two from the King James version says, truly, my soul
waiteth upon God. From him cometh my salvation. He only
is my rock and my salvation. He is my defense.
I shall not be greatly moved. How long will ye
(05:19):
imagine mischief against a man, Ye shall be slain all
of you as a bowing wall shall be ye, and
as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him
down from his excellency. They delight in lies, they bless
with their mouth, but they curse inwardly Selah, my soul.
(05:41):
Wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation. He is
my defense. I shall not be moved. And God is
my salvation and my glory. The rock of my strength
and my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at
(06:04):
all times, Ye people, pour out your heart before him.
God is a refuge for us. Saylah. Surely, men of
low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are
alie to be laid in the balance. They are altogether
lighter than vanity. Trust not in oppression, and become not
(06:25):
vain in robbery. If riches increase, set not your heart
upon them. God hath spoken once twice have I heard this,
that power belongeth unto God, also unto thee O, Lord
belongeth mercy. For thou renderest to every man according to
(06:46):
his work. The Bible reminds us there will always be
troubles in this world. Therefore our hope should be in
the salvation of the Lord, where we can rest safely
and securely. Our troubles in this world are temporary, but
His salvation is eternal. Find comfort in knowing your future
(07:08):
is secure, even if your present seems uncertain, Breathe in
and out slowly. Close your eyes and imagine a house
resting on a firm foundation. Visualize strong winds beating against
its door, threatening to tear apart the house. Yet it
(07:31):
is never shaken, it never succumbs to the storm. Open
your eyes and know this is you putting your trust
in the word of the Lord, which is your firm foundation,
keeping you secure and giving you strength to endure the
storms of this life. Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly
(07:57):
through your nose. Close your eyes and imagine a large
rock by the ocean, standing firm. As tumultuous waves crash
into it, no wave can bring it down and carry
it away. Open your eyes and know the rock is
the Lord, and on this rock your soul will find rest.
(08:23):
Breathe in and out slowly. Feel the power of the
Lord overcome the winds and the waves that threaten to
destroy you. You do not have to face the darkness
and the silence of the night alone. He is with you,
comforting you with his peace and love and strengthening you
(08:44):
with his power and protection. As you sleep, think of
a time when you harbored resentment and anger, towards someone
for hurting you. Confess any unforgiveness that is in your heart.
Ask for God's forgiveness and for his help to forgive
those who have wronged you. Take a deep breath. Allow
(09:07):
God's love and mercy to wash over you as you exhale.
Let go of any guilt and shame, or any bitterness
and resentment your carrying with you from today. Know His
love for you never fails, and His mercies are new
for you every day. Praise God for his love and salvation.
(09:31):
Thank him for being a god you can trust. Thank
Him for the times he has given you rest when
life was hard. Think of someone who needs to experience
God's salvation tonight. Pray God will draw them near him
and fill them with his peace and love. Pour out
(09:52):
your heart to God, Share your struggles and your feelings
with him. Trust in God to work on your behalf
and do what is right. Pray God will help you
value Him and his word above all things in this world.
Pray your desires and priorities will align with his. Pray
(10:15):
God will protect you from the lies and deceit of
those who seek to hurt you. Pray He will restore
your reputation and help you find rest by putting your
trust in him. Pray God will refresh your soul and
help you find deep, peaceful rest tonight. Take a deep breath.
(10:37):
Exhale slowly, and release any stress that is still lingering
from today. Find rest in God's salvation. Breathe in and
out slowly as you lay down to sleep. Allow God's
presence to comfort you tonight, giving you a peace only
(10:59):
He can do.
