Verse ten. Dear Heavenly Father, as I come to the
end of this day, I thank you for your abundant blessings.
As I rest my head on my pillow, I pray
you will cover me with the comforting blanket of your mercy.
(00:53):
May your spirit guide me through the night, leading me
to paths of righteousness. Lord, let my soul be set
in serenity as I sleep. Let the bright beams of
your benevolence light up by night as I rest, knowing
(01:15):
that you are watching over me, and as Sadahan approaches,
Remind me of your faithfulness and let me rejoice in you,
my refuge and strength. I will rejoice in you and
(01:37):
take refuge in your power. Tonight, I thank you for
how you have kept me, and I look forward to
another day of living for you. In Jesus' name. Amen,

(02:47):
this episode blessed you, follow the podcast so you never
miss a nightly encouragement. Hello. For tonight's sleep Psalm by
Prey dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm sixty
four tonight. Begin this meditation by getting in a comfortable
(03:12):
position in a quiet space where you can relax your
body and refresh your mind and soul. Lay flat on
your back or sit straight up in a chair. Relax
your neck and shoulders, maintain a good posture. Breathe in
(03:33):
and out slowly. Take a deep breath. Feel your lungs
fill with air as your chest expands. Exhale slowly and
feel the oxygen flow throughout your body, rejuvenating every cell
and every muscle. With your next breath, focus on your
(03:56):
heart rate. Take another deep breath, hold your breath for
a few seconds, and then slowly exhale. Feel your heart
slow down. Relax in your body and calming your mind.
Close your eyes and focus your thoughts on God. Meditate
(04:19):
on his goodness, reflect on the wonderful work of his hands.
Think about his love, for you know he came to
bring you a life filled with joy and hope. Breathe
in his peace. Breathe out any stress and anxiety. Release
the tension in your body. As your body relaxes, open
(04:44):
your mind and heart to hear his word. Ask him
to reveal his truth that will give you life. Allow
his word to comfort you tonight as you prepare for rest.
We live in a world at war with an enemy
that likes to conspire against us and ambush us in
(05:05):
our weakest moments. But the good news is if we
take refuge in God, the victory is ours to night.
Let's put our trust in the Lord and find joy
and hope in his word. Psalm sixty four from the
King James version says, hear my voice, O God, in
(05:27):
my prayer. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy,
Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from
the insurrection of the workers of iniquity, who wet their
tongues like a sword and bend their bows to shoot
their arrows. Even bitter words that they may shoot in
(05:48):
secret at the perfect Suddenly do they shoot at him
and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil manner.
They commune of laying snares privily, They say, who shall
see them? They search out iniquities. They accomplish a diligent search.
Both the inward thought of every one of them and
(06:10):
the heart is deep. But God shall shoot at them
with an arrow. Suddenly shall they be wounded, So they
shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves. All
that see them shall flee away, and all men shall fear,
and shall declare the work of God. For they shall
wisely consider of His doing. The righteous shall be glad
(06:34):
in the Lord, and shall trust in him, and all
the upright in heart shall glory. Meditating on God's word
helps us face the many enemies we have in this world.
Whether our enemies are the people who oppose us and God,
the thoughts that tempt us to go astray, or the
(06:54):
dark spiritual forces that seek to devour us in our
weakest moments. God can protect us in the middle of
the battle. He can help us overcome our enemies. To
win the war. All we have to do is take
refuge in Him, and we will dwell in his safe place,
where nothing can harm us, where we can rest in
(07:17):
his perfect peace. Take a deep breath as your chest rises.
Imagine God's hands pulling you up, helping you rise above
your enemies. Exhale slowly as your chest falls. Imagine God
striking down anything and any one that tries to bring
(07:39):
you down. Know you are safe and secure in his hands.
He will protect you throughout the night. Close your eyes
and bask in the glory of God. Feel his light
shine upon you, keeping you warm as you lay down
to sleep. Breathe in and out slowly, allow his presence
(08:05):
to soothe your soul and renew your spirit. Confess any
hurtful words you have spoken against someone out of anger
or retaliation. Confess any unforgiveness in your heart against those
that have spoken against you. Pray God will help you
do what is right when others attack you. Pray he
(08:27):
will help you forgive others. My key forgives you. Take
a deep breath and allow God's forgiveness to calm your
mind and heart. Feel His love and grace fill your
spirit as you exhale. Let go of any guilt and
shame you are experiencing right now. Let go of any
(08:50):
anger and bitterness you may have in your heart. Breathe
in and out, release the tension in your muscles. Relax
your body and mind. Rejoice in the name of the Lord.
Thank him for the times he has protected you and
delivered you. Thank Him for the wonderful things he has
(09:13):
done in your life. Think of some one who is
in a difficult situation and needs God's protection to night.
Pray he will strike down anything or any one that
is trying to harm them. Pray he will keep them
in His perfect peace as they sleep. Cry out to God.
(09:36):
Tell him your struggles and troubles. Know he will always
listen to your prayers and he is always working on
your behalf. Pray God will help you resist temptation. Pray
he will lead you down his safe, secure path where
you can experience deep, RESTful sleep. Pray God will deliver
(09:59):
you from you evil. Pray he will help you with
any struggles or addictions you are facing right now. Pray
God will protect you as you sleep. Pray he will
keep you in His perfect peace throughout the night. Take
a deep breath. As you exhale, release any tension and
(10:20):
stress that is still lingering from today. As your body relaxes,
allow God's presence to comfort you and refresh your mind, body,
and soul.
