Speaker 2 (02:57):
Hello, I'm grace for to night's sleep Psalm by Prey
dot com. We will be meditating on Psalm sixty nine.
Begin by finding a quiet space free of distractions where
you can get comfortable to listen to God's word. Lie
down flat on your back or sit straight up in
(03:20):
a chair. Rest your hands gently by your side or
on your lap. Take a deep breath. As you exhale,
release any stress and tension in your muscles. Relax your
neck and shoulders. Breathe in and out slowly. Close your
(03:42):
eyes and focus on your breathing to clear your mind
and open your heart with each breath. Focus on slowing
down your heart rate by taking longer and deeper breaths
inhalees slowly and feel your chest fully expand as your
(04:04):
lungs fill with air. Hold your breath for a few seconds.
Exhale slowly and release any anxious thoughts and clear your mind.
Inhale and exhale slowly. Feel your heart settle, feel your
(04:25):
mind calm. Feel your body soften from your head to
your fingers and your toes. As you relax, focus on God.
Think about his power and strength. Reflect on Him as
your savior that came to rescue you, redeem you, and
(04:46):
restore you. As you get ready to listen to God's word,
ask to hear his voice that will lead you to
a safe, secure place where you can rest tonight. Just
like Christ suffered on earth, we will face pain and
suffering too. But the Bible reminds us we can find
(05:08):
joy and hope in the salvation He freely offers us,
and we can find rest knowing Ye will deliver us.
Psalm sixty nine from the King James version says, save me, o, God,
for the waters are come in unto my soul. I
sink in deep mire where there is no standing. I
(05:31):
am come into deep waters where the floods overflow me.
I am weary of my crying. My throat is dried,
Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. They
that hate me without a cause are more than the
hairs of mine head. They that would destroy me, being
mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty. Then I restored that which
(05:55):
I took not away, O God, thou knowest my food
and my sins are not hid from thee. Let not
them that wait on THEE, O Lord, God of Hosts,
be ashamed for my sake. Let not those that seek
thee be confounded for my sake, O, God of Israel.
(06:18):
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach. Shame hath
covered my face. I am become a stranger unto my brethren,
and an alien unto my mother's children. For the zeal
of Thine house hath eaten me up. And the reproaches
of them that reproached THEE are fallen upon me. When
(06:40):
I wept and chastened my soul with fasting that was
to my reproach, I made sackcloth also my garment, and
I became a proverb to them. They that sit in
the gate speak against me, and I was the song
of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is
(07:02):
unto THEE, O Lord. In an acceptable time, O God,
in the multitude of thy mercy, hear me in the
truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire,
and let me not sink. Let me be delivered from
them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Let not the water flood overflow me. Neither let the
(07:25):
deep swallow me up. And let not the pit shut
her mouth upon me. Hear me, o, Lord, for thy
loving kindness is good. Turn unto me according to the
multitude of thy tender mercies, and hide not thy face
from thy servant, For I am in trouble. Hear me
(07:46):
speedily draw nigh unto my soul and redeem it. Deliver
me because of mine enemies. Thou hast known my reproach,
and my shame, and my dishonor mine adversary are all
before thee reproach hath broken my heart. And I am
full of heaviness. And I looked for some to take pity,
(08:10):
but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.
They gave me also gall for my meat, and in
my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. Let their
table become a snare before them, and that which should
have been their welfare, let it become a trap. Let
their eyes be darkened, that they not see and make
(08:33):
their loins continually to shake. Pour out Thine indignation upon them,
and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Let
their habitation be desolate, and let none dwell in their tents.
For they persecute him. Thou hast mitten, and they talk
to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. Add
(08:55):
iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into
thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book
of the Living and not written with the righteous. But
I am poor and sorrowful. Let thy salvation, O, God,
set me up on high. I will praise the name
of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
(09:19):
This also shall please the Lord better than an ox
or bullock that have horns and hoofs. The humble shall
see this and be glad, and your heart shall live
that seek God. For the Lord heareth the poor and
despiseth not his prisoners. Let the heaven and earth praise him,
(09:40):
the seas and everything that moveth therein, For God will
save Zion and will build the cities of Judah, that
they may dwell there and have it in possession. The
seed also of his servants shall inherit it, and they
that love his name shall dwell therein. When the storms
(10:01):
of life overwhelm us, the Bible reminds us we will
not be overtaken by the tumultuous waves, because the Lord
will rescue us. In his salvation. We will find his
love that sustains us, and his grace that saves us.
No matter what storm clouds seem to be hanging over
(10:22):
your head, no God is right there with you in
the eye of the storm, holding you, comforting you through
the night. Take a deep breath as your chest rises.
Feel the Lord's strength pulling you up out of the
deep waters, out of the depths of the earth. Exhale
(10:46):
slowly and release any fears and worries. Knowing God has
you in his hands. Know he will deliver you from
your troubles. He will sustain you through the night. Breathe
in and out slowly. Reflect on the pain and suffering
(11:06):
of Jesus Christ. Think of the times he was scorned, mocked,
and humiliated before all to see. Now imagine him in
all his glory and power, sitting on the heavenly throne
with his Father. Know you will share in the joy
of his inheritance. As you share in his suffering, his
(11:30):
suffering will lead you to his salvation that restores you.
Allow his joy to lighten your heart and his hope
to soothe your soul. Tonight, acknowledge your sins before the Lord.
Ask for his forgiveness. Know nothing is hidden from the Lord.
He already knows your sins, and he already has forgiven you.
(11:56):
Take a deep breath, Allow his mercy and love to
wash over you. Exhale slowly, and let go of any
guilt and shame you are carrying with you. Tonight, Rejoice
in the salvation of the Lord. Praise his name. Thank
(12:16):
him for the times he has delivered you. Thank him
for his faithfulness in your life. Think of someone who
needs to be delivered from troubles in their life. Pray
they will turn to God and he will help them
and rescue them. Pray they will find peace tonight as
they lay down to sleep. Call upon the Lord. Cast
(12:41):
all your anxieties on him. Tell him about your struggles.
Know he will hear your voice and he will rescue
you at just the right time. Put your trust in him.
Pray over an injustice in your community. Pray ye will
be overcome by God's power and for his justice to prevail.
(13:05):
Pray God will comfort your community during this time. Pray
over a specific area of your life where you need
God's deliverance. Pray you will put your trust in Him
and find peace as you wait on Him to rescue you.
Pray over your family and friends. Pray God will protect
(13:27):
them and keep them from stumbling. Pray they will experience deep,
RESTful sleep to night as they rest safely in His hands.
Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly and release any tension
and stress that is still lingering from to day. Surrender
(13:49):
to the Lord and know you are secure in his salvation.
Close your eyes as your body and mind relax. Allow
His soothing presence to refresh your mind, body, and soul
as you sleep
