Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Sleep Psalm by pray dot Com.
We will be meditating on Psalm seventy one. Prepare to
receive God's word by relaxing your body, calming your mind,
and opening your heart. First, retreat to a quiet space
(03:39):
free of distractions. It is important to be comfortable and
to be able to focus your energy on meditating on
tonight's song. Sit up in a chair with your back
straight and your shoulders back. Relax your neck, rest your
hands gently on your lap with your palms facing down.
(04:03):
Inhale and exhale slowly. When you inhale, allow your lungs
to completely fill with air before breathing out. With each exhale,
focus on releasing the stress and tension in your muscles
and softening your joints. Close your eyes and focus your
(04:26):
thoughts on God. Meditate on his faithfulness. Remember He is
the sovereign Lord in whom you can have confidence and hope.
Take a deep breath. Allow Him to fill you with
his joy and peace. Breathe out any stress and anxiety
(04:47):
from today. With your next breath, concentrate on slowing your
heart rate down. Take a deep breath, hold your breath
for a few seconds. Exhale slowly and feel your heart lighter.
(05:07):
Open your eyes, breathe in and out slowly. Invite the
presence of God as you listen to his word. Ask
him to refresh your mind, body, and soul with his truth.
From the time we are born to the time we
reach old age, the Bible reminds us God is always
(05:31):
with us, rescuing us, restoring us. Tonight, meditate on the
wonderful things God has done for you, and allow His joy, hope,
and peace to comfort you throughout the night. Psalm seventy
one from the King James version says in thee O Lord,
(05:54):
do I put my trust, Let me never be put
to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness and cause me
to escape incline thine ear unto me and save me.
Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort.
Thou hast given commandment to save me. For thou art
(06:16):
my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O God, out
of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand
of the unrighteous and cruel man. For thou art my hope,
O Lord God, Thou art my trust from my youth.
By THEE have I been holden up from the womb.
Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels.
(06:39):
My praise shall continually be of THEE. I am as
a wonder unto many, But thou art my strong refuge.
Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with
thy honor all the day. Cast me not off in
the time of old age. Forsake me not when my
strength fail, For mine enemies speak against me, and they
(07:04):
that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, saying
God hath forsaken him. Persecute and take him, for there
is none to deliver him. O God, be not far
from me, O my God, make haste for my help.
Let them be confounded and consumed that our adversaries to
(07:24):
my soul, let them be covered with reproach and dishonor
that seek my hurt. But I will hope continually, and
will yet praise THEE more and more. My mouth shew
forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day. For
I know not the numbers thereof. I will go in
(07:45):
the strength of the Lord God. I will make mention
of thy righteousness, even of thine only, O God, Thou
hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I
declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old
and gray headed, O God, forsake me not until I
have shewed Thy strength into this generation and thy power
(08:09):
to every one that is to come. Thy righteousness also,
O God is very high, who hast done great things,
O God, who is like unto THEE. Thou which hast
shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again,
and shalt bring me up again from the depths of
the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me
(08:32):
on every side. I will also praise THEE with the sultery,
even thy truth, O my God, unto THEE. Will I
sing with the harp o, Thou, Holy One of Israel.
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto THEE
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also
(08:54):
shall talk of Thy righteousness all the day long, for
they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame. That
seek my heart. Thinking of all the wonderful ways God
has been faithful in your life is an excellent way
to relax your body and calm your mind as you
prepare to sleep. The joy of His salvation and of
(09:18):
his marvelous deeds will lighten your heart and help you
rest peacefully through the night. Breathe in and out slowly,
bask in his presence. Allow His glory to shine upon you,
keeping you warm and safe. Know He is your rock,
(09:38):
giving you a firm place to stand. Know he is
your fortress, surrounding you with his love, power and strength,
protecting you from the darkness around you. Take a deep
breath as your chest rises, feel God's hand bringing you
(09:58):
up from the depths of the darkness into the light
of His righteousness. As you breathe out, feel his light
flow throughout your body. Restoring you, giving.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
You a new life.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Breathe in and out slowly. Release any tension and thoughts
that are weighing you down. Allow the power of His
presence to soothe your soul and renew your spirit. Think
of a time when you took credit for something in
your life that should have been attributed to the glory
(10:33):
and power of God. Ask for his forgiveness. Ask him
to help you bring him glory in all that you do,
and say, take a deep breath, allow his salvation to
fill you with his joy. Exhale slowly and allow His
righteousness to flow through you and restore you. Rejoice in
(10:57):
the righteousness and salvation of the life Lord. Praise him
for his goodness and faithfulness. Thank him for the times
he has delivered you. Thank him for the wonderful things
he has done in your life. Thank him for being
the one you can always count on. Think of someone
who needs God's protection and provision tonight. Pray he will
(11:22):
help them in their circumstances and fill their heart with
hope and peace so that they can find rest in Him.
Lay your requests before the Lord, Lift your fears and
worries to him. Know God is always faithful, and He
will rescue you and help you. Pray for God to
(11:45):
deliver you from your fears and worries. Pray he will
give you his peace to help you find rest. Pray
for God to remind you of his marvelous deeds every
day and night, so that His joy will lighten your
heart and calm your mind. Pray for God to protect
you while you sleep. Pray He will rejuvenate your mind, body,
(12:10):
and soul. As you rest tonight, Breathe in and out slowly.
Relax your neck and shoulders, relax your fingers and toes,
close your eyes, and allow God to refresh your soul
and bring you peace to help you rest through the night.
