with your wisdom and direction, so that I may make
sound decisions that honor and glorify you. It is sweet

(01:13):
to be satisfied in your presence and near your heart.
I have made you my refuge and tucked myself into
your will like a child in a blanket. As I
drift into a peaceful slumber, I trust You're wavering love

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Hello, I'm Grace. For tonight's Psalm by Prey dot com.
We will be meditating on Psalm seventy three. Breathe in
the fresh, clean air around you to rejuvenate your lungs.
Breathe out any stress and tension in your muscles. Feel
the air. Cleanse your body from your head to your

(03:20):
fingers and toes. Maintain good posture to allow the air
to flow to all areas of your body. With each breath,
focus on contracting a different set of muscles. Hold your
breath for a few seconds as you exhale, relax your muscles,

(03:40):
and soften your joints. Take a few more deep breaths
and continue to relax your body and soothe your muscles.
As you relax your body, close your eyes and meditate
on the sovereignty of the Lord. Picture him on his clothes,
glorious throne, ruling the world in his justice and truth.

(04:05):
Know he looks down from his heavenly throne and sees
the burdens that are weighing you down. Today. In his strength,
he can lift your burdens. In his faithfulness, he will
give you rest for your mind, body, and soul. Take
a deep breath, Exhale slowly and surrender to the Lord.

(04:30):
Know he is with you, holding your hand, and guiding
you to a safe, secure place where you can rest
peacefully throughout the night. Breathe in and out slowly. Open
your mind and heart to hear his voice as you
listen to his word. Envy and jealousy can darken our

(04:53):
hearts and minds and keep us from finding rest. The
Bible tells us to find joy and hope in the
sovereignty of the Lord, rather than in the riches of
this world. Psalm seventy three from the King James version says,
truly God is good to Israel, even to such as

(05:15):
are of a clean heart. But as for me, my
feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped,
For I was envious at the foolish when I saw
the prosperity of the wicked, for there are no bands
in their death, but their strength is firm. They are

(05:35):
not in trouble as other men. Neither are they plagued
like other men. Therefore, pride compasseth them about as a chain.
Violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out
with fatness. They have more than heart could wish. They
are corrupt and speak wickedly concerning oppression. They speak loftily.

(06:00):
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue
walketh through the earth. Therefore his people return hither, and
waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
And they say, how doth God know? And is their
knowledge in the most high? Behold, these are the ungodly

(06:20):
who prosper in the world. They increase in riches verily.
I have cleansed my heart in vain and washed my
hands in innacy. For all the day long have I
been plagued and chastened. Every morning. If I say I
will speak, thus, behold, I should offend against the generation
of thy children. When I thought to know this, it

(06:43):
was too painful for me until I went into the
sanctuary of God. Then I understood their end. Surely thou
didst set them in slippery places? Thou castest them down
into destruction? How are they brought into desolation as in
a moment they are utterly consumed with terrors, as a

(07:06):
dream when one awaketh so o, Lord, when thou awakest,
thou shalt despise their image. Thus my heart was grieved,
and I was pricked in my rains. So foolish was I,
and ignorant I was as a beast before THEE. Nevertheless,
I am continually with THEE. Thou hast holden me by

(07:28):
my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel,
and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in
heaven but THEE. And there is none upon earth that
I desire Beside THEE. My flesh and my heart faileth.
But God is the strength of my heart and my
portion forever. For lo, they that are far from THEE

(07:52):
shall perish. Thou hast destroyed all them that go ahorring
from THEE. But it is good for me to draw
near to God. I have put my trust in the
Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. In
a world where the wicked seem to prosper turning to
God can help alleviate our frustrations and jealousy. As he

(08:14):
shifts our temporal perspective to an eternal one, we can
find hope in the eternal rewards that await us in heaven.
Find rest knowing our inheritance is secure in the Lord.
Breathe in and out slowly, close your eyes and imagine

(08:34):
all the riches of the world contained in one room.
Their beauty and worth are alluring, but in them no
one is fully satisfied. With your next breath, imagine the
ground opening up, plunging the riches into the depths of
the earth, never to be seen again, never to be

(08:57):
enjoyed by those who possessed them. With your next exhale,
release any worldly idols you are clinging to, knowing they
bring temporal pleasures and prosperity, cling unto the Lord, who
satisfies you with his word and rescues you and restores
you with his power and strength. Open your eyes and

(09:23):
know the treasures in your room are temporary, but the
inheritance of the Lord is forever. Your flesh and heart
may fail, but God never will. His salvation keeps you
safe and secure in him, His strength sustains you through
day and night. Think of a time when you are

(09:44):
envious of a person's wealth and lifestyle. Confess any jealousy
in your heart. Ask God to help you value Him
and his word above all else. Take a deep breath.
Allow his forgiveness to watch over you. Exhale slowly, and
release any guilt and shame you are experiencing right now.

(10:08):
Know his righteousness redeems you and restores you. Praise Him
for his wonderful deeds. Praise him for his faithfulness, Thank
him for his salvation. Thank him for his provision in
the present and the future. Think of someone who needs
to accept the Lord's gift of salvation. Pray he will

(10:32):
reveal his truth to them and draw their heart toward him.
Pray Ye will protect them as they sleep. Lay your
requests before the Lord. Cast all your anxieties on him.
Know he will sustain you through the night. Pray God
will guide you to his path of life and righteousness.

(10:56):
Pray you will find rest in his hands. Pray God
will help you put your trust in Him rather than
in the things of this world. Pray he will turn
your heart towards him tonight. Pray God will protect you
as you sleep, pray he will rejuvenate for mind, body,

(11:18):
and soul to give you strength for tomorrow. Take a
deep breath, Exhale slowly, and release any stress and tension
that is still lingering from today. Close your eyes and
allow God to refresh your soul and bring you peace

(11:40):
to help you rest through the night.
