Speaker 1 (00:00):
If it was one v one v one in a ring,
who's the most likely to win the wrestling match between
I'm gonna go with Colton. I think it's that. I
think it's that mustache with the mullet. That's just you know,
it's just.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
It's cornbread strength, is what I have to call it.
Corn bread strength. What's up, guys?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
We are back six one five hours podcast Chris Rudigree here.
I'm pumped because today we don't have just a solo artist,
but we got a trio of guys.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
They've done millions of streams.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I think like two hundred million streams to date and
they are crushing it right now. They're on the road
with Russell Dickerson this fall. They got an album coming
out October twentieth. We're like, what a couple days out
from this?

Speaker 5 (00:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Very close, very close, baby, and uh god.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
They're a handsome group of lads here in Ashville with
some harmonies like no other. Please welcome into the hot seat,
restless road. Hello, thank you for having us. Look at that.
That's that's where we need like the clapping track to start, right?
Oh man, what's that?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
What's going on? Boys? House? The summer bend. This summer
has been incredible.

Speaker 6 (01:14):
We spent a lot of time on the road, some
of our biggest shows we've ever done. We were just
talking about in Boston. We got to play at Fenway
with Caine earlier this summer, so that was incredible.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Did you guys get a Fenway Frank?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
We know, no, Frank, Dude. The Fenway Frank is like
an iconic hot dog. You're sitting in the.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Ballpark, you got you got your beer.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Preferably Sam Adams Little Fenway Frank hot dog. Watching some baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Makes the Fenway Frank special.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I would say it has to do with the meat,
but it actually has nothing to do with the hot dog.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
It has to do with the atmosphere. You're just locked
in on the game. I get that.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
We were at I think we were in Cleveland and
we were watching a baseball game there and I had
the very first time I've ever had. It was a
hot dog with mac and cheese and fruit loops.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Damn restless recipes, anything's possible. Of the boys putting out
a cookbook.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It was.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Pretty pretty gas. It was really good.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
That seems like one of those items that like does
not make sense. On paper, but you try it and
it somehow hits.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
We'll probably just dip our toes in the coffee market
first with restless Roads.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Yeah, curried pods or something like that. That's the that's
the layup, right, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, and then then after that, you know, staying in
the caffeine market, We're gonna go with energy drinks called
road Rage.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Okay, there you go. Are you guys trying to have
a monopoly on the caffeine market as well Restless Road?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I mean it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, like move over Monster in Red Bull the Boys
the boys are coming in hot. Well, hey, I want
to get into it, man, I've been I've been following
you guys for the past couple of years. It's been
amazing to see your success on TikTok on Instagram and
now playing all these live shows with Caine with Russell.
But I want to backtrack a couple of years, like

(02:54):
how did this whole thing start for you guys? How'd
you guys link up in the first place?

Speaker 6 (02:59):
Man, this goes back ten years when we were eighteen
years old. We auditioned for this TV show called X
Factor and singing competition show, right, and we were individuals
we got so far on the show. We basically formed
the band on the show, and then Kane Brown we
met on the show and he went on to become

(03:21):
the Cane Brown we all know in love, right. We
stayed in Restless Road doing our thing, and then what
do you know, twenty nineteen rolls around. We've been grinding,
we've been writing songs, trying things out, but we hadn't
really had our moment yet and Kane Brown reaches out
to us and we all kind of just started working together.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
We got in the studio with Caine.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
He kind of took us under his wing a little
bit and he really encouraged us and supported us and
really helped us do the band in Restless Road the
way that we wanted to do it. And ever since then,
we've been on the road, we've been putting out music
and things have just been way different ever since then.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
It's about ass And did you guys meet on the show?
Did you know each other prior? No? Yeah, we met.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
We met on the show, and you know, it felt
like at first we were like kind of thinking we
were pitted against each other. I kind of thought like
and then they didn't show it on TV, but we
all had to like sing off against each other, and
they had like ten songs and they're like, everybody has
to know one of these songs. Well, we all picked
the exact same song. There was only one country song,

(04:25):
so literally back to back we had a step forward
and sing the same song against each other.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
And so who ended up winning the sing off? Well,
no one, no one. They sent everyone home.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
We got we got eliminated. But then we got this
this yeah, this chance to do the band. And when
when that opportunity came up for us, it was it
was really this just crazy god given opportunity because I
don't think it was on our radar being in the band,
but when we all met each other and we started
making music together, it was so much fun and it

(04:56):
just clicked, and we were so excited about how we've
grown up listening to so many country bands, and you know,
Rascal Flats was a big one for us growing up,
and there's been so many iconic bands through the years,
and we kind of felt like, wow, we could we
could be the next one of those. It sounds crazy,
but we could. And so that's just kind of every
day been the goal and the dream.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
That's amazing I mean, you guys are well on your way.
I love it. When did you guys, you link up?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
You come to Nashville, you link up with Cane Brown,
you said you start working on a couple of records.
When did you guys decide like, all right, we got
to start putting out music, We got to market ourselves,
get on social media, Like how did how did that
all happen?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Well?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Well, I mean when we first moved to town, we
we've been right in a while. And then in twenty nineteen,
when we met Caine, we got together with Kane. We
ended up putting out our first EP and that was
in uh at the top of like twenty twenty, like
rate before COVID, actually two weeks before.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Time.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, and so we put it out and like we
were on this like this high and then all of
a sudden, the world shut down. And during that time
was where we were trying to figure out, you know,
like we just had this EP come out, how do
we stay relevant? How do we stay like connect with
all these fans that we had just made from from

(06:16):
the EP. And that's when we started getting on TikTok
and we posted a bunch of videos and and nothing
kind of went and then all of a sudden, we
had our very first one that went viral, and then
from there it went from like zero to one hundred
on TikTok and we ended up growing from nothing to

(06:38):
like two million within the first year, and then from
there just moved it over to Instagram and started doing
the same thing. And I mean, I think we went
from like two hundred thousand followers across all of it
to now well over three million, and so it's been
been really cool to get there, but it's been a

(06:59):
you know, I mean, like social media is like the
wild West. You don't really ever know what's going to
work or how to make it. But we figured out
like trying to translate our music because at first we
were just these funny guys on TikTok, and then it's
like moving people then know we're actual artists, and it's
been cool to kind of watch kind of how it's

(07:20):
all taken, taking it morphed from like those funny guys
to now a real artist on these social media platforms,
and it's it's been really cool because now we're at
the point where, like this whole time we've been teasing
for our album and we're just seeing like people just
eager for the for the new music. So I'm just

(07:42):
excited to see what it's gonna like, what's going to
happen in the next few days when it comes out.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Yeah, it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Well, I always ask artists this because it seems like
a lot of artists have that same moment where they
get online like they're throwing darts of darkboard and then
one video hits. When you first had your viral video
where you guys just like refreshing your fil we're the
naxt freaking star like like walking through that.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
We didn't really know, like you know, TikTok was pretty
pretty new like back then, or at least to us,
Like we didn't really know how it worked. So like
Colon said, like we probably posted like thirty something videos
like you said, like dartboard, because it.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
Was a lot of them were just like copying trends
that we already kind of seen, trying to just learn
how the app worked.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Yeah, we didn't know because it was like you know,
there was like at that time, it was just like
a lot of dancing and a lot of that.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
There wasn't a whole lot of scene telling me if
I scrolled back there.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
We never did We never danced, but that's what the
landscape looked like. We didn't really know how to like
utilize it for like artistry, Like we didn't know what
we were doing, and so like, yeah, probably thirty videos.
We're just trying to trying a couple of things. And
then I think we went to bed, like we had
this funny song we thought of like in a right
and then we went to bed and we walked, which.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
We always do that when we're like, when we're notories
for this, we'll go in to write a real song
and we'll get so sidetracked and we'll come up with
a million funny jokes and and we'll make them into
little songs. And we did this one day. We were a
serious song. But then we wrote this funny song where
we remixed that Maroon five song hues, so the ones
that we loved.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Yeah, we did Here's to the beers that we bought.
We saw, Yeah, I saw that. We closed it.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
It was it was funny, but it was genuinely us
because we do that kind of stuff and like just
amuse ourselves by making up songs like that, and it
was just kind of us sharing that part of our
humor with people in that video, like overnight it got
a million views, and that was.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Like we were just losing it.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
We were like we were refreshing and seeing the followers,
like we got forty thousand followers in a day from that,
and I was like, oh my god. And I was like,
there's a million things we could write a song about.
Chick fil a, taco bell like we did. See you
guys went down the list. I think there was there
was like a taco bell.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Yeah, there were so many. There's market.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
There was like a little park in East Nashville out
in front of my house and there's this one wooden
bench and we would just sit there and we would
just I called it the park bench because it was
just that was such good luck. Anytime we filmed the
video here it does good superstitious.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
And we.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
Just started nailing nailing those and and people were loving them.
And then we transitioned from that into the mashups, and
like Garrett learned how to do, like you know, we
learned how to like record ourselves at home and stuff
during that time and like push ourselves just to learn more,
and we started recording these mashups and just taking our
favorite songs, and that was the first time I think

(10:27):
people started seeing, oh, like more of the talent and
the harmonies and the in the in the love for
country music and stuff. And then finally we get a song,
finally to go go on there are big love song.
Growing old with you started being like a trending sound.
So it all just kind of slowly like unraveled. But
it all just started from us having fun and just
doing stuff that made us laugh and feel good, and.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Well, I think that's authentic.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
You know, it's like you get frustrated, I'm sure, because
you spend hours making a video and it gets tanks,
gets like two interviews, right, and then you're used to like, oh,
before we go to bed, let's sing something whatever. You
spend five minutes on it at your biggest video. But
I think that level of like authenticity of just like
not almost caring in a sense is what probably made
people connect with a your personality and like who you
guys are as a group, but then also your harmonies, right,

(11:13):
and then you know you kind of go from there
and continue to build up that following I want to
talk a little bit about the switch from you know,
following trends into then pumping out your own original music,
Like what was what was the first song that you
guys put out on the platform?

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Like how did you how did you use it to
promote your own music.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
I mean, I feel like the very first one was
it took One Look at Her Mama was probably that
first one. And yeah, and to be quite honest, it's
like we really couldn't figure it out. I mean we
it's so tough. I feel like I remember one time
we we had this conversation with Granger and because we
were on the road with him for a couple of shows,
and he you know, he does the Earl Dibbles Junior thing,

(11:56):
and he was just always telling us like just like
kind of watched there's a fine line between like like
being funny and then like people yeah and then yeah,
people only caring about that portion of it. And so
that was always in the back of our head, like Okay,
we've got to like we've got to cool it on
the being funny kind of kind of stuff and really

(12:18):
start buckling down on our music. And we put out
took One Look at Our Mama, and we had people
that were they were there was people that were using
the video, but we really didn't have that kind of
success until Growing Old with You. And then when Growing
Old with You came out and we started sharing that,
I mean, I don't know how many, like I mean,
how many thousands of videos now have been made with

(12:39):
Growing Old with You, And I mean it was it
really kind of just blew the doors off for us,
like as far as from a musical standpoint on TikTok
and and now since then, I mean, now, like I said,
we've been able to tease all these new songs like
last Rodeo. We've had so many videos with that, people
using it, and a lot of viral videos off of

(12:59):
that and other songs, and so it's just been it's
kind of a grind though. I mean it's still even
I feel like what I would tell people if they
were just hopping on the platform and that don't get
so caught up in the views portion of it, because
I mean, we can still post a video and it

(13:20):
be a dud and we have like two point four
million followers. I mean, so it just don't focus on that.
Just focus on the repetition of putting out your music,
because that stuff collects and eventually you might have ten
thousand here, twenty thousand there, and that before you know it,
you've had seven videos and they've totaled up to be

(13:42):
two three hundred thousand, And those are three hundred thousand
people that would have never heard yourself.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So I think it's important crazy to think about too,
Like you have two point four million people that are
following you, Like, imagine putting those those people in like
a football statum. I mean it'd be several football stage.
That's more like a state that I'm from.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Yeah, unreal, right.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I think you bring up a good point, like it's
about building that loyalty beyond just looking for you know,
two point five million followers, Like how do you keep
the two point form or people that click that button
still interested in you?

Speaker 4 (14:13):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I think you've done a great job you mentioned with
with your original music and growing old with you, which
like people are actually using it in the videos.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Talk talk to me about like when you go on
the road and like.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
You guys have been been torn with Came Brown and
how you're now out with Russell Dickerson, Like what's that
feeling like when you have something that was you know,
put out online now being sung back to you like
firsthand when you're playing.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Yeah, I think it's it's really really cool because you know,
you can see the engagement or the people commenting about
you know, this was our wedding song and stuff, but
you don't really like get a great sense of it
until you're on the road and you're singing that and
and that's just like a really special moment in our
show because we try to keep keep it up beating
fun and you want people to have fun. But when
we when we do that song in particular some of

(14:57):
the slower, like more meaningful songs, it's a cool feeling
to see people singing the words back and you can
just see it in their eyes like what it means
to them and and uh, you know it's just a
part of their story. And like you can't really get
a sense of that, Like you can hear it online,
but you don't really you don't really like feel it
till you see someone's face. Like just you hear a
thousand people screaming it back and you're like, wow, like

(15:19):
that song really actually made an impact on people that
it's like lasting, and it's just like that's like a
really rewarding part of you know, being an artist is
just you know, you see all that stuff, but when
you're in the moment, it's like it's so powerful to
see like what you've been able to accomplish, like in
real life.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
I'll never forget. We were in Saint Louis on our
headline tour and there was just a couple that came
up to us and they told us, you guys saved
our marriage. And I was like, okay, well you need
to elaborate, ye, just like we saved like we saved
your marriage. And he told us. He said that they
had been separated for like four months at the time

(15:58):
and this song had came out, and uh, when he
heard this song, he sent this to his wife and
he and was telling her. He said, he just told
her like, I still want to grow old with you this.
You're still the person that I want to be with.
And that is what got them talking again, and from
there then it like rekindled that relationship. And this dude's breaking,

(16:20):
he's crying telling me this, and that's the reason you
do it. That's like hearing those stories is like, that's
that's why you do music, Chris.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
They don't call us the love doctors.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
From I was going to ask, because I've seen a
ton of videos of like, you know, people using the
song and weddings. Have you guys ever thought to just
go like wedding crash or you've done that so much weddings?
We've what's the best wedding you guys have gone? Why
can't even tell you can't even tell you.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
About it that we got. We got the manager shaking
his head like this one, this one's got to say.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Said, this one's off the record. I don't know we
did we did one in what was the one in?
Sam San Jose has done a handful.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
You know, when we get the chance to do it,
it's always really fun because you know, being at a
wedding such a fun, interesting dynamic, and when you get
to be there's like this surprise musical guest, it's like
just a fun it's a fun thing to pop in
for and you get to see the family. Everyone's always
in this like that wedding mood, you know what I mean.
It's just such a good time. And uh yeah, we

(17:23):
like got to play in like Wine Country, like earlier
a wedding out there was beautiful and got to surprise
like the bride and groom. They had a choreographed dance
for Growing Old with You and later Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
So it was really cool. I can't shock it up
any better.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
It's fun because the storyline ninety nine percent of the
time is like one or both of the people love
the song.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
It's like their song.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
And usually it's like the parents they reach out and
they say, hey, wouldn't it be cool if y'all show up,
Like they will have no.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
Idea, right, and usually everyone is in on it but them.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
So it's been really funny to just show up and
like the whole wedding party's in on it, and we walk.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
In there and then Brian Green were like, oh my god,
that's cool. It's so cool.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Look out for the Restless Road Wedding Tour in twenty
twenty four.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Right, no, you never know when we're going to crash
a wedding.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Well, we're gonna be right back when we take a
quick break here and you're listening to six one five
hours podcast here on iHeart.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
What is up? Guys? We are back here on six
one five hours podcast.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
We get the boys from Restless, ro Colton, Garrett, Zach
and the Crib.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
What's going on? I want to play a game with
you guys.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
All right, all right, very simple game, most likely to
All right, I'm gonna say most likely to do something?
All right, This is where the truth comes out, and
I want you to point to which person in the
group is the most likely to do it. Pretty simple,
right right, We'll start off easy.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
We'll say who is the most likely to miss? Bust
call Zach? Zach likes to sleep?

Speaker 6 (18:51):
Huh, yeah, you can see Beck I have sometimes I
struggle with time management.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Yeah, that's fair enough. I think I do as well.
Who's who's the most likely to flirt with girls?

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Zachau? Yeah, it's default. Colton's married with kids. I just
got engaged, so if either one of us were doing
it would probably be in trouble.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
So it's definitely Zach.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
There you go, all right, If if you're in a
if it was one v one v one in a ring,
who's the.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Most likely to win the wrestling match between I'm gonna
go with Colton. Colton has some.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
You look ripped over there, dude, I don't know s
I have to brag them. Colton like his his his
physiques came a long way last year. But but even
before that he was about my size and he is
scary strong, like this man, like he has like superhuman strength.
So like he's definitely I think if we were fighting
to the death.

Speaker 6 (19:47):
I don't know, I could you could, you could get
in there like a little you know, David. But I
got you slinging a rock and I have my money due.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Yeah, you never know. I heard that let's give Garrett
a baseball bat, make a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
He's been there. Give you a weapon, right, just give you,
give you some. I think it's that. I think it's
that mustache with the mullet.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
That's just you know, it's just I don't know. It's
corn bread strength, is what.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
I have to call it. I love it.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Who is the most likely to get too drunk before
a show?

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Probably me?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Yeah. What's what's the liquor of choice or beer of choice?

Speaker 5 (20:27):
Probably probably whiskey Jack's, yeah, Jack and coke King.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
But I yeah, I'm just so lightweight. I'm a little dude.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
So I think they can. I'll tell you a funny story. Actually,
if I have a second, you ever heard of you?
Ever heard of cut Waters? So like we they were
at this venue one time, and like I usually would
have like, you know, a cocktail, maybe two beers for
a show, like nothing crazy, just get a little loose.
And these cut waters were there and I had two
of them like really fast, like probably within thirty minutes,
and that was the worst thing I've ever done, Like

(20:57):
I would.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Percent.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
I didn't know that, and like I bet ten minutes
into the show, like I'm like definitely feeling it, and
I'm going, what has happened here? And when I get
off stage, I'm like like what, I don't understand how
this has happened?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
And they're like you do know?

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Those are like twelve percent each and two of them
before you go to stage. So I would highly recommend
not doing that.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Good to know, don't do hit they're great, but they're
great straight to the buk.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Don't hit them before they're sneaky. There you go, sneaky quack.
I like that. Who uh?

Speaker 1 (21:32):
This is gonna be controversial here. I'm very curious to
see what the answer is to this. We can cut
this out if we have to, No, you probably don't.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
We'll see. This is gonna be good. I can already
what do you think it is? Hold on, I'm curious
to see what you think it is.

Speaker 6 (21:47):
You're probably gonna ask some kind of justin timberlakey Harry
Styles question or something like that. I was gonna ask
who's the most likely to ditch the others for a
solo career.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
I knew it, and I knew that's when it was coming.
Three two one.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Oh, look at that, you're out number two. We want
you want to plead your case to uh to the
jury here.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
I don't know. I don't have any plans to do that.
I don't think anyone here does. I think. I think, honestly,
do you pick me?

Speaker 6 (22:22):
I don't know, because you you know, because of that
personality test that we took the other day.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Yeah, I am a dominant I am dominant, unreal, all right?

Speaker 6 (22:34):
And I think at some point we should all make
our own songs.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
We actually put our sauce on it. It would be cool.
I don't know how if it would.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Like this was a joke somebody told me the other day.
They said, we should be the first ever to do
our own Like when you get to like I feel
like arenal level, you do this, you do your headline,
but then we all three put out solo projects before it,
and then we be the openers for ourselves and we
each get wet it ten minutes, come out and.

Speaker 5 (23:04):
Like I'm like doing like like Christian metal, and like
I was like, this is actually.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
That's a really epic I like, is unreal because does
it like darks do that though with hot country nights?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Like that's such he opens for us?

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah, Like I think that it's such a cool like
why not do that and just do your just be
like a character like all three of us is is.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Well, this goes back to your X Factor days. Look,
you can go right back.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
We could literally, honestly, we really should do it because
you don't even have to release that much. You could
just release an EP of three or four songs because
if we only have fifteen minutes, that's all you're gonna need. Anyways,
just do three or four songs and then we all
come out and open for ourselves.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
And then there you go.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
Look at that. You don't even have to pay the
dang opener. Come you know that you're thinking smart?

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Why not unreal? Well?

Speaker 1 (23:51):
All right, that was That was a fun game, and
most likely too, I learned a lot about you guys.
It seemed like it's like there were a lot of
the Zach Area here.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
It seems like Zach, you got you got some interesting
people that you're working with.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
There's the same he's silent.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
You're really sinking into that you sometime, right, you say
it best when you say nothing at all.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
There you go, Hey, I do want to jump in
and talk about this album. Freaking Pomp comes out on Friday.
Can't wait. Let's talk a little bit about the project, songs,
the process of it. You know what, what was the
best part about making this album for you guys?

Speaker 2 (24:32):
I think just diving in, like and really getting to
focus on nothing but songwriting, because I feel like as
an artist it can it can be really hard to
juggle like four or five things because you're you're doing
your you're on the road, then you're juggling social media,
and then with little time you have left, you're trying
to right and then you have your family time and

(24:53):
all this. But we we finished out that tour with
cain Uh overseas and then we came back. We just
spent the next two to three months just nothing but writing,
and it was It's really refreshing to be able to
wake up and know this is my sole focus for
the next two to three months. I feel like we

(25:13):
were able to really just pour our hearts into every
single one of these songs. And you know, sometimes as
a songwriter, I feel like you're you're always trying to
think of like this, well, this could be a good song,
maybe this is what people want to hear. But we really,
I feel like, try to put ourselves in each one
of the songs and really make them personal to us

(25:34):
so that people when they listen to this album they
could really get a sense of who we are.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
That's amazing. And the album is called Last Rodeo? Correct,
what like what made you guys decide to go with
Last Rodeo as the title for it?

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Well, it's actually, you know, like the song is talking
about this saint my last Rodeo, and a lot of
people will be like, you know, like, you know, for us,
this is just the beginning. But we figured this ain't
my last Radio would be kind of a long, long one,
so we went with last Radio because it's simple and clean.
But sure, I think, uh yeah, I think just the
whole message behind it is like like you said, we
we've been together a long time and we've been through

(26:09):
so many ups and downs, and we really wanted to
tell people like, hey, like you know, this is our story,
but you know, never let anything or any any anybody
get you down, and just keep your eyes on the road,
like keep your eyes on the prize. And you know
you're gonna you're gonna go through some some stuff, but
like you always got to keep your head up. And
I think that, you know, once we had the full

(26:29):
track list and everything, that just kind of resonated with
us and you know, what did we want the album
to be about? And I think that kind of summed
it up in a really good way.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Well, I don't know if you guys know this, but
I did get a sneak preview of the music with
your team, and what to say, there's some uh, there's
some good songs on there. So I'm very excited for Friday.
I can't wait last rodeo from the Boys, Swashless Road
coming out. We gotta we gotta hit the charts on this, guys.
We got to get get the TikTok's going run it up.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
You know, I love it. Well, Hey, we got we
got a quick segment here that we like to do
with Aria.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
We got some jackets right there from areas sitting on
the table, there are there are homies.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
And the way it works is this is rapid fire questions.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Now I've never done this with three people before, so
it's gonna be very interesting. But just off the cuff,
first thing that comes to mind, we're gonna go. I
think we'll go this way to seem fair, cool, cool,
and just whatever comes to mind, you know, don't think
too hard about it.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
All right, here we go dream collaboration Brooks and done.
Oh for me too? Uh, Tim McGraw, I like that.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I would say, can I is it somebody that's alive?
Though obviously it.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Could be it could be alive or dead. We got
a I you can go back, Yeah, you can go
back if AI the voice.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
If I could go back, it would be.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Elvis. Wow wow, I just that'd be fun. Can you imagine?

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I know this is supposed to be rapid fire questions,
but we got it. We got to dig into this
a little bit here. You would want to go back
and sing with Elvis?

Speaker 4 (28:06):
That's yeah?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I mean, who, to be quite honest, who wouldn't want
to go back and sing with Elvis? And I think
he to me transcended so many genres it was. I mean,
he put out a gospel record, he he had a country,
he had he had rock, he had blues, he did
it kind of, he did it all. So I mean
to me, that would be yeah, I could go back

(28:29):
one person to be on stage that was now person
in history.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Come on, right, that's that's amazing. Are you a talker
or a texter? Uh?

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Talker, talk talk, cowboy hat or baseball cap?

Speaker 4 (28:43):
Baseball baseball?

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Honestly, I'm kind of a toss up because you'll catch
me in both.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
There you go and this.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Hey, you don't need to justify this, but there's a
hot dog a sandwich, yes.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Or now it could be yes, absolutely not. Wow, we're
going to talk about this dream venue to play. I
would love to play at Red Rocks. That's a classic.
I'd love to play the O two.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
You literally took both of mine, So yeah, both of those.
There you go make an internet here, I'll say Charleston
Civic Center, West Virginia.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
All right, there you go to watch shows. I haven't
heard that one before.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
All right.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Uh. If you could only play one Wrestless Road song
for the rest of your career, what would it be?

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Growing Oldie on My Way? On my way bar friends.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
I think mine's friends. And I have to say, it's
not that I don't love growing up with you. It's
something about bars going.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
It's just I've never there's sometimes in shows, depending on
how a show's going or how you're feeling on stage,
those kind of things where you go when it's something
gets to us part in a set. I have never
done that with bar friends. It's just always a party.
Everybody's always having a good time. It's the last song
of the set, and really, I mean it's just a

(30:15):
fun song to sing.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
It really is.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
It's awesome, dude, I I we use I use that
with my friends as we're getting ready to go out
and when we're in the bar boys, this has been awesome.
That was sixty seconds presented by Area. It our good friends.
We got like a few minutes left here. What else
am I missing?

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Like?

Speaker 1 (30:32):
What's going on this fall? You're on the road with
Russell Dickerson. What can we expect?

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Like are you going to tour this album next year? Like?
What's what's the news?

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Can give me something juice, I'll say, keep your eyes
out for next week, next week, keep your eyes out,
keep your big.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
New road next week, next week, next week, I'll say
what week, next week? There we go, come one week.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
That is next right, all right? Restless road albums out October.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
Twentieth, called Last Rodeo.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
It is not your last Roadie because it's really just
the start of your career.

Speaker 4 (31:14):

Speaker 1 (31:16):
