Speaker 1 (00:01):
The longest governments shut down in America's history. Finally over,
the stopgap funding measure keeps the government operating through January
thirtieth while Congress works on a long term deal. Now,
let's be very clear, there's a very good chance come
January thirtieth, the Democrats could shut the government down yet again.
(00:27):
President Donald Trump signed the legislation to fund the government again,
putting an end to the longest shutdown in history. And
Democrats got nothing from doing this. The exact same deal
that was made in Washington to reopen the government was
on the table before the government even shut down. So
(00:49):
why did they hold Americans hostage, hurt so many Americans,
and make sure that Americans suffered, whether it was food
stamps or missing a paycheck because they wanted to hurt
Donald Trump, and they put politics ahead of the country. Now,
Trump signaled Monday the government would reopen soon. As consequence
(01:10):
of elapse and funding continued a snowball, including miss paychecks
for federal workers and airline delays stemming from air traffic
controllers staffing shortages. Some Democrats wanted this to actually move
past Thanksgiving to really hurt Americans because they believed you
would blame Donald Trump for it. Now, the bill keeps
(01:31):
the funding of the government at the same levels during
the fiscal year of twenty twenty five through January the thirtieth,
to provide additional time to hash out a longer appropriations
measure for the fiscal year twenty twenty six. Now, the
measure also funds a Supplemental Nutrition assistant program known as
SNAP or food stamps, that more than forty two million
(01:54):
Americans rely on through September. Yes, that's far too many
Americans that are on foods Sampson. We can talk about
that as well another day. But the main point was this,
Why hold families in need hostage? That's exactly what the
Democrats wanted to do by design. There were multiple votes
(02:15):
to just fund food stamps, and Democrats every time voted no,
while at the same time claiming that Donald Trump is
hurting poor people in America. Now, the reopening of the
government comes after more than forty days of a lapse
in funding aimed at a stallmate between Senate Republicans and
Democrats over the stop gap spending bill that would have
(02:39):
funded the government through November twenty one. After a lapse
in funding started on October one, The Senate passed legislation
Monday night that would reopen the government by a sixty
to forty vote, the exact bare minimum number needed to
reopen the government. A total of eight Democrats voted alongside
the Republican colleagues for the measure. Subsequently passed its version
(03:01):
of the measure on Wednesday, and the deal came as
fallout from the shutdown came to a head, including, as
I mentioned, massive travel disruptions at US airports where the
air traffic controllers and the TSA officers were required to
work and we're gearing up to miss a second paycheck
as a result, these staffers were calling in sick, taking
(03:23):
on second jobs, creating staffing shortages and massive flight delays. Now,
the standoff between Republicans and Democrats all originate over a
disagreement about Obamacare. And the fact is Obamacare knows the
Affordable Care Act is not affordable at all, but healthcare
(03:44):
providers health insurance. I should say, carriers are making billions
off of Obamacare. And that's one of the problems that
conservatives wanted to talk about. Now, I also want you
to hear what the President had to say from the
Oval office as he was signing this bill into law.
Take a list of the present's words, carefully.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
United States, and an attempt to extort American taxpayers for
hundreds of billions of dollars for illegal aliens and people
that came into our country illegally, from gangs, from prisons,
from mental institutions. They wanted to pay them one point
five trillion dollars, which would have really hurt our health
care businesses and our recipients at levels never seen before. Today,
(04:32):
we're sending a clear message that we will never give
in to extortion, because that's what it was they tried
to extort. The Democrats tried to extort our country. In
just a moment, I'll sign a bill exactly like we
asked Democrats to send us all along many days ago.
This cossed the country one point five trillion dollars, this
(04:53):
little excursion that they took us on. Republicans never wanted
a shut down and voted fifty times for a clean
continuation of funding. There's never been a time when one
or the other party ever didn't sign a continuations.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Just a continuation, not a big deal.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
It's a continuation of Will PAULK later Yet, the extremists
in the other party insisted on creating the longest government
shut down in American history, and they did.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
It purely for political reasons.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
I want to thank Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader
John Thune, as well as House Majority of Leader Sievescalise,
Majority Whipped Tom Emmer, and numerous other great Republican leaders
and Congressmen and senators who are here and frankly spent
a long time in Washington getting this thing to go away.
(05:45):
I also want to thank the broad coalition of Americans
that stood with us in this fight to reopen government,
including the Teamsters, the American Federation of Government Employees, the
Fraternal Order of Police, Amvetstional Small Business Association, the American
Farm Bureau, the American Trucking Association. These are all incredible patriots.
(06:09):
Airlines for America, the Allied Pilots Association, the National Air
Traffic Controllers Association, and many others unions and non unions.
Over the past seven weeks, the Democrats shut down as
inflicted massive harm. They caused twenty thousand flights to be
canceled or delayed. They departed so many times so late,
(06:31):
people were hurt, so badly. Nobody's ever seen anything like
this one. This was a no brainer. This was an
easy extension, but they didn't want to do it the
easy way.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
They had to do it the hard ware. They looked
very bad the Democrats do.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
They deprived more than one million government workers from their
paychecks and cut off food staff benefits for millions and
millions more Americans in need. They caused tens of thousands
of federal contractors and small businesses to go unpaid, and
the total effect of the damage their antics cause will
take weeks, in probably months to really calculate accurately, including
(07:10):
the serious harm that they did to our economy and
to people and the families. So I just want to
tell the American people you should not forget this when
we come up to midterms and other things.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Don't forget what they've done to our country. You also want.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
To call for a termination to the filibuster so that
this can never happen again. If we had the filibuster terminated,
this would never happen again. And don't forget we have
another date coming up in the not too distant future.
We can never let this happen again, and we should
be able to pass great, really great legislation. So I
(07:43):
say terminate the filibuster because by the way, the Democrats
will do it immediately if they ever assumed office, which
hopefully they won't.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Today we had.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
The highest stock rocket price ever in all of the
different markets, set a record. It's the forty eighth time
in the nine months that I've been in office that
we had this record set. So think of that, forty
eight times we had a record set.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
But today is the highest of them all. We're going
to break new grounds. Nobody would have thought.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
I have with us, not only the great political leaders,
but the great business leaders of our country. They're standing
right behind me and right really alongside of me. And
if we would have told them a year ago that
we'd be having stock prices to side, none of them.
In fact I just asked them that question, none of
them would have believed it. And that anures to jobs
(08:36):
and very importantly to four oh one case, which have
also set a record today, a record high for the
people that have four oh one case. And also I
want to thank Walmart because they came up with a
fantastic study. It was the cost of Thanksgiving coming up,
and the cost of Thanksgiving from a year ago under
(08:57):
Sleepy Joe Biden and twenty five percent lower this year
than we were a year ago.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
And it's a very inclusive report. So I want to
thank Walmart.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
They've done it for many years, but we believe in
that and we believe in that company. I want to
also thank the eighth Senate Democrats who finally did the
right thing in voting to end this.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Craziness, this madness.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
But unfortunately the vast majority of Congressional Democrats were happy
for millions of Americans to suffer. They really did suffer too,
and the Democrats admitted, they said, well, no, we finally
have a point. Even though people have to suffer, we
finally have a point. And that didn't work out too
well for them. But they really went out and they
(09:41):
could appease the fringe benefits of their far left base.
But that didn't work out because now they're far left
base is angrier than ever before. We actually elected a
mayor of New York City who happens to be a communist.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
When was that going to happen?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Remember I said all the time I'm during my campaign,
we will never be a socialist country.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
And that's right.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
We turned out to have a communist in New York City,
and if you look at his views, those are the
views of a communist, not a socialist. So this is
no way to run a country. I hope we can
all agree that the government should never be shut down
again again, and the filibuster, terminate the filibuster.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
It will never happen again.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
So with my signature, the federal government will now resume
normal operations, and my administration and our partners in Congress
will continue our work to laura in the cost of living,
restore public safety, grow our economy, and make America affordable
again for all Americans again. Costs are way down, energy
(10:45):
is way down. Gasoline is at two dollars and fifty
cents a gallon versus four dollars and seventy cents for
the Democrats, and we think we're going to hit pretty
close to two dollars a gallon. That's like a really
mass of tax cut. It's the equivalent of that. And
speaking of tax cuts, our great, big, beautiful bill is
(11:05):
giving everybody in our economy, middle income workers, low income everybody,
the biggest tax cut in the history of our country.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
And there's no.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Tax on tips, no tax on social security, and very importantly,
no tax on overtime. You work overtime, there's no tax.
That's among the things that add up to the biggest
tax cut in history. One other thing, you know, you
hear about rich people with deductions, Well, when you buy
your car and you borrow money, you're allowed to now
(11:36):
deduct the interest on that loan.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
So you can take that interest deduction.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
And what you can take is that interest payment and
deduct it for income tax purposes. That's a tremendous tax
cut right there. But it all includes fixing the healthcare
system that Democrats broke with the disaster known as Obamacare.
Obamacare was a disaster from day one. It's done nothing
(12:02):
but go up. And if you remember President Barack Hussain
Obama when he came up with this crazy idea, he said,
everything's going to be great. Rates are going to go down,
payments are going to go down, everything's going to go down.
In what the exact opposite with the biggest increase of
any of healthcare in any country.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
It's a disaster.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
And I'm calling today for insurance companies not to be
paid but for the money, this massive amount of money
to be paid directly to the people of our country
so that they can buy their own health care, which
will be far better and far less expensive than the disaster.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Known as Obamacare.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
And I've had I think great support, I've even had
Democrat support. So we want the money that would be
going to the insurance company, which is hundreds of billions
of dollars. You know, their stock prices have gone up
by one thousand percent in many cases a thousand percent
over short period of time because our country stupidly pays
(13:03):
them so much.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Money with this Obamacare scandal.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
So I want the money to go directly to you,
the people, and you go out and you'll buy your
own health insurance and you'll negotiate different plans and you'll
get much better insurance, and you will be an entrepreneur
for yourself. So I'm always willing to work with anyone,
including the other party. We'll work on something having to
do with healthcare. We can do a lot better, we
(13:28):
can do great. So much money is involved, and we're
willing to pay so much money to the people.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
So we're going to pay a lot of money to
the people. They're going to go out and buy their own.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Health care, and we're going to forget this Obamacare madness.
So with all of that, I just want to tell
you the country has never been in better shape. We
went through this short term disaster with the Democrats because
they thought it would be good politically, and it's an
honor out to sign this incredible bill and get our
(13:58):
country working again.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
There's a couple different takeaways from what the President had
to say there in his remarks. Number one, when he said,
quote today, we're sending a clear message that we will
never give in to extortion, because that's what it is.
They tried to extort. The Democrats tried to extort our country.
Trump said the Democrats inflicted massive harm and keeping the
(14:22):
government closed since October the first. There's data that clearly
backs that up as well, and the President talking about
what the Democrats actually did. They caused harm, and that
harm included so many people that couldn't get around the
country to see family members who were sick, those who
(14:42):
were dying, those who had died. This was real and
it was personal, and that's part of the reason why
the President said it the way he did.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Makes the Democrats shut down as inflicted massive harm. They
caused twenty thousand flights to be Kidd delayed, They departed
so many times, so late, people were hurt so badly.
Nobody's ever seen anything like this one. This was a
no brainer. This was an easy extension. But they didn't
(15:14):
want to do it the easy way. They had to
do it the hard way. They looked very bad, the
Democrats do. They deprived more than one million government workers
from their paychecks and cut off food stamp benefits for
millions and millions more Americans than need. They caused tens
of thousands of federal contractors and small businesses to go unpaid.
And the total effect of the damage their antics cause
(15:37):
will take weeks and probably months to really calculate accurately,
including the serious harm that they did to our economy
and to people and the families. So I just want
to tell the American people, you should not forget this
when we come up to midterms and other things.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Don't forget what they've done to our country. You also
want to.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Don't forget what they've done to this country. Now, this
is the fight, and this is where it's going. I
think there's a very good chance that the government is
going to be shut down again. Democrats don't think that
this is a bad thing to hurt the American people.
But you also have to understand this is par for
the course with Democrats. Now, when I say that, what
(16:19):
I mean it's simply put this way. Whatever they have
to do to weaponize, they will do it. There is
nothing that the Democrats will not do to hurt Americans.
Another example of that is what they did with allowing
millions of illegal immigrants to come into this country, another
(16:41):
example of them putting illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens.
So the government has reopened and the big question now
is for how long. If the Democrats keep going the
way they are, there's a very good chance to end
up January the government will shut down on yet again.
(17:02):
Did you see that gold just hit an all time
new high of over four thousand dollars an ounce? And
if you hear that, you're like, are you kidding me?
And you're thinking, gosh, I missed my opportunity. Well, I
don't know if you missed your opportunity, But my friends
at Kurt Elliott Precious Medals they can answer that question
for you. You also may not be paying attention to
(17:23):
the incredible gains with silver that are happening right now
as well. And that's why I trust the guidance of
the team at kirk Elliott. In fact, I literally just
got a hundred ounce bar of silver the other day.
And the reason why is because after I talked to
the team at kirk Elliott Precious Medals, they let me
understand exactly where I could have a big upside in
(17:46):
investing in silver. Now, the other part that I love
about them is this they have transparent pricing. There are
a lot of gold companies that you'll hear about if
you listen to talk radio or podcasts or watch TV,
but they tell you how the pricing actually works well.
At kirk Elliott, they're real simple, just eight percent when
(18:07):
you buy and zero commissions when you sell, with no
hidden fees. Ever, that is the other reason why I
recommend them to all of you. They also don't sell
you quote rare coins or precious coins that you pay
insane markups on and then when you go to sell
them you find out they're really not worth that much.
They are a bullyon only approach. They focus on investment
(18:31):
grade metals, no overpriced collectibles, no gimmicks that means you
get more gold or silver for your money at fair value.
When it's time for you to sell. So if you're
ready to find out if gold and Silver is right
for you in your portfolio, then call them and get

dot com. I want to move to another story that's
really important and it deals with corruption. It is a
story that you've probably not heard a single word about
this why because it is to protect the leader of
the Democratic Party. There is a front runner for the
man or woman who will be the nominee for the
(19:36):
Democratic Party for president, and right now that is the
California Governor, Gavin Newsom. Well, there's a story that if
this was connected to someone like Donald Trump, the world
would be freaking out. The media would be covering at
twenty four to seven and they would say, where there's smoke,
there's fire. Let me tell you the story of the
(19:57):
former Gavin Newsom chief of staff now the chief of
staff in your administration. There's literally no one higher that
has more influence than the chief of staff. The chief
of staff has been arrested in charge is part of
a political corruption investigation. California Governor Knuwsoon's former chief of
(20:20):
staff was arrested in charge with having conspired to commit
bank and wire fraud, among other things, as part of
a political corruption investigation. In a press release from the
United States Office of the Eastern District of California, it
was revealed that a federal grand jury charged Dana Williamson,
(20:42):
fifty three with conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud,
bank fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States
and obstruct justice, subscribing to false tax returns, and making
false statements. Quote. This is a crucial step in an
ongoing political corruption investigation that began more than three years ago,
(21:06):
is what the US Attorney at grants in a statement.
As it always has, the US Attorney's Office will continue
to work tirelessly with our law enforcement partners to protect
the people of California from political corruption. Now part of
the press release, the political consultant Dana Williamson, fifty three,
of Carmichael, California, was charged by the federal grand jury
(21:28):
with conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud, bank fraud,
wire conspiracy to fraud the United States and obstruct justice,
and then subscribing to his false tax returns making false statements.
The twenty three count indictment was unfiled following Williamson's arrest
in the morning. Court documents reportedly show that between February
(21:49):
of twenty twenty two and September of last year twenty
twenty four, the chief of staff for the Governor Newsome
conspired with others to divert approximately two hundred and twenty
five thousand in funds from a dormant political campaign to
(22:11):
an associate person use. According to the press release, Williamson
and other people also reportedly funneled the money through various
business entities and disguised it as a pay for what
was in reality a no show job. This again, according
to the press release, Williamson also allegedly conspired with a
(22:35):
business associates to create false backdated contracts after receiving a
civil subpoena in January of twenty twenty regarding paycheck protection
program known as PPP loans. This also coming from the
press release, and then the FBI said this quote. Today's
(22:57):
charges are the result of a three year relentless investigative
work in partnership with IRS Criminal Investigation and the US
Attorney's Office. This coming from the FBI Sacramento of Field office,
they said, quote. The FBI will remain vigilant in its
efforts to uncover fraud, corruption, and ensuring our government systems
(23:20):
are held to the highest standard. In a statement to
Fox News, a spokesman for the California governor clarified that Williamson,
who was Newsom's chief of staff literally until late last year,
was no longer serving under newsomb administration. Miss Williamson no
longer serves in the administration, the spokesman told the outlet,
(23:42):
While we are still learning details about the allegations, the
governor expects all public servants to uphold the highest standard
of integrity. Now, this just goes back to corruption. One
oh one. We see a lot of corruption the Democratic Party.
This time it's Gavin Newsom's long time time chief of staff.
And notice how if you're listening to this show right now,
(24:05):
this is probably the very first time that you've heard
about this story. If this was connected to any Republican governor,
especially in a swing state. The media would cover this
twenty four to seven, wall to wall, So why now
(24:26):
be silent. Well, they've got to protect Newsom. He's their guy.
They understand that he has the best chance of winning
the nomination, and so there's many around him that I'm
sure are saying, hey, we'll just look the other way.
But this goes back to the core of the Democratic Party.
Right now, the rules really never seem to apply to them.
(24:49):
You can look, for example, on college campuses at UC
Berkeley and the radicals that went after turning point conservative kids,
all caught on camera. You can move from there to
what we're witnessing all across the country and what we've
seen with anti semitism and Democrats taking over college campuses,
(25:10):
with radical activists, kids who are now turning into anarchists.
And this really all goes back to the issue of
following the money. Whether it was Occupy Wall Street, Black
Lives Matter, and you go on and on with Democrats
who are now going after college campuses and conservative organizations.
(25:32):
What Democrats are clearly trying to do right now is
make you feel unsafe. If you saw the videos coming
out of UC Berkeley, I can tell you if you
were there as a conservative, you would not have felt safe.
And that's exactly what democrats want by design. They want
you to be quiet. They want you to be silent.
(25:54):
They don't want you to stand up for what you
actually believe in, and so that is what this is
all about. Finally, let me say one other thing. Democrats
also are eating their own right now, and Representative Mikey Cheryl,
a Democrat from New Jersey and the New Jersey governor elect,
(26:14):
had this to say about the Democratic Party right now
and the government shut down.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Of the Garden State. Congratulations on your promotion, Congresswoman. We
should note, along with other notable Democrats, you won last
week after campaigning to a large degree on the issue
of affordability. Right now, Democrats are voting on a bill
that does not extend to Obamacare subsidies, so healthcare costs,
insurance costs are going to go up significantly for millions
(26:43):
of Americans on the Obamacare subsidies, on the Obamacare exchanges.
How do you square what Democrats like yourself ran on
what seems to be an important issue for Republicans to
wake up and pay attention to if they want to
keep their jobs next year. And what's playing out on
the floor of the House right now.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
Well, I think you know I'm going to continue the fight.
To me, this is unacceptable. That people were pretty clear
when they spoke in New Jersey that they wanted somebody
to fight for them. And so I'm going to keep
fighting for affordability, to drive down costs. I will keep
fighting against all of the attacks coming from Washington. And
then you know, we are going to address the key
(27:23):
ways in which Trenton is not working for them either.
But this is a travesty right now to continue to
raise prices on people. This with this bill, we're going
to see prices in the affordable care market go up
by almost one hundred and seventy five percent. It's just
harming families across the nation and certainly in New Jersey.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
You listen to what she had to say there, and
there's one big takeaway. She is in the party that
created the Affordable Care Act, which is no longer affordable.
In fact, many would argue it never was. It was
all smoking mirrors. And now your tax dours by the
billions are going to one place, the insurance companies that
(28:03):
are making record profits right now. And then there's another
president who's saying I don't want your money to go there.
My name is Donald Trump, and I wanted to go
directly to you. And that's where the fight is going.
Will the government be in charge of every aspect of
your life, that's what Democrats are advocating for. Or will
(28:24):
Donald Trump do what he says is right, give you
your money and your own options to do what's best
for you, your healthcare, and your families. That's what really
this is all about. Don't forget to share this podcast,
by the way, with your family and your friends on
social media wherever you can hit that subscribe or auto
