Speaker 4 (01:30):
This is a podcast call twenty five whists stuck a
funball and they aware a whizz So yeah, it's too bad,
but what did you expect?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
It's a podcast called twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Whistles twenty line.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Hellod addie, thank you. Calvin Johnson coming up. We talked
to him.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
He's awesome, pretty cool man.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, it pretty cool talking to him, but he's also
it's pretty cool talking to him.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
It's also pretty cold talking to him.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah that well, it's pretty cool talking to freaking cal Johnson,
but it was also pretty cool talking to the human
the Discalvin Johnson's they both are pretty cool. Glad everybody's here?
Where do I start? I struck out and slow pitch softball.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I can't I can't start. He can't shake it. I
can't shake it. Is it humiliating? I've seen other people
do it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I only don't care that much, but higher standard to
the MVP of the celebrity softball game. I it was playoffs.
I was trying to hit a homer. I was just
trying to hit as hard as I could, and that's
the rule.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Did they put spin on it?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Was there nothing, It was just right. And I was like,
I gotta give this a rip. And I missed and
I tucked my tail. I didn't time my tail.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I did the tuck like they did in uh Hannibal Lecter.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
That's what I was about to say, silence of the lamp.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
He did the wa over his legs. So I reached
in and did that and then walked to the dugout.
And then we lost the game. Not because of that,
but it was as late in the game and I've
never done in my life.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Did you go back to the dugout or straight to
the parking lot.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I went back to the dugout.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
But there were some listeners that I met that I
did not go say bye to because I was humiliated.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I was so humiliated I couldn't like to share it, just.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
To like to get it out.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yes, I did it feel better after you got it out?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
No?

Speaker 4 (03:04):
I hate it.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I like want to chew my fingers off.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Hey, what did your teammates tell you bones?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Like, did they like?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Hey, Man's OK. It happens to everyone or team.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
It's really nice.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, some of them were.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
But I actually played really well all season, Like I
was mostly bat lead off and played first or left
field wherever they needed me, Like I was pretty good.
So I don't think they could be like, man, you sucked.
But I would have thought that I'd have been so disappointed.
And who never did that?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
But it was me?

Speaker 4 (03:33):
It was brude to the game of the season, playoffs.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Oh it's sober, I'll retire. I'm done. I'm done with soul.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
So that that's the headline that's gonna be all over.
ESPN wanted to start with that. That's tatory of the day.
An injury news. Obviously, she rise probably out for the season.
Towards a cl The Chiefs do not have a wide receiver.
They have Zaviriel Worthy, but they don't have what are
they gonna do be nice. They got Devanta Adams. I
only had the money to do that. Let's their defense

(04:01):
is so good that they're going to have to actually
rely on their defense a bit other injury news.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Read. I was about to say, yes, that's why I've
even brought this up.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Happening here well before we even.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Went on to hit record, our lovely Reid does this ow.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
And then we hit the button and I don't know
if that was in the recording because it was before
the recording. Do you think it was caught, Mike, Yeah,
I think it was in there. Leave it in there.
So Read over the past, how long you've been working
out with us? Five months?

Speaker 4 (04:34):
All right, it's been that long.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Read's been going pretty strong with us. Reid's form, for
the most part, has improved. But anytime it comes to
anything with legs like he he's all back, and there's
a point where you have to not lift in comparison
to the other people you're lifting with.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Eddie went through this when he first started. Eddie's very
strong now, so thank you man. Yeah, a lot of
times sometimes I had to do the same weight. It's pretty
likely and we do that, but still give I'm actually
getting it. Eddie is very strong.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
We used to have to like change all the weights.
We don't have to do that anymore with Eddie. If anything,
it's like a small one, a five or something five.
He used to be a full transform takes forty five's off.
But Eddie has worked hard.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
And he's he's like strong. It's it's really.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Cool to see read he does it wrong, but he
won't lower the weight because he's not wanting to seem
less than the problem is. He has now heard him.
I a injure myself many times. Mine's usually from overdoing it,
not the heaviness of it, but like mind's in my

(05:44):
feet and my legs from like doing sprints, like constant
start stops. Not about doing something wrong. Yeah, just a
whole lot of start stops. And I'm forty four years old.
Now things start to hurt. I tore my rotator cuff
on my shoulder from throwing too much. Right throw Reed
just has to put less weight on and do it right.
But you won't do it yet, you'll don't make an
excuse like and undercook Sam, Like be consistent if you're

(06:08):
gonna like make excuses, make excuses and nothing.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Protect your health now.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
The other day was under spicy spicy talc wait oild eggs.
I only did it for ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
My tacos were too spicy? Did you matter that one
to day before.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
Spicy tacos, like spicy tacos before it workout?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
At least be consistent, like there's always something up. Just order,
just put less on.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
You can't like be macho during part of it and
not be macho during another. Yeah, be non macho completely,
be like I did my spicy taco.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Who's got me?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
And then I should do less weight. We'll be like
class agreed. Good job, buddy, you're showing up. All we
care about is you're showing up. That's all we care about.
Oh man, But you can't be like undercook salmon and
oh lift it all.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, it's not on brand.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Yeah you man.

Speaker 8 (06:56):
Have you seen the new The Penguin show on on mac.
That's kind of what I look like when I walk.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
So he is a penguin.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
According to him, His diagnosis is a disc Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
In the I don't know. She said. If it's not
better by the end of this week, then to go back.

Speaker 8 (07:16):
But I used to have sciatica pretty bad, like five
or six years ago to s Yeah, yeah, it's it
went away now until now but I'm sitting down.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah yeah, it's just which won some aer better than others.

Speaker 8 (07:32):
If you push on that nerve, it like just kind
of goes all down your leg. And so I think
a couple of weeks ago when we were lifting, I
felt it first and then I just kind of let
it go for a little bit, and then like a
couple of days it was fine, and then this time
around it really messed it up.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
And so I guess video him.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
To go like, watch yourself, this is what you're gonna
hurt your back. But he just keeps doing it, doing it,
I know.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Yeah, and uh, I love my little baby bird read.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I don't want to slap him sometimes, I know because
I tell him you can slap if you want to
get you want to say you want to get better
at it, you want to get bigger, faster, stronger, you
want to get whatever your goal is.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
There is a point where you'll get to where you
want to get. But you can't.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
You can't go out and train for a marathon and
do twelve miles your first day. Yeah, like if you
actually want to get to run twenty six point two miles,
just using as an analogy.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
If that's your actual goal.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
It's not by doing twelve the first day, because you'll
never get to twenty six point two because you'll be
still hurt the next day and so sore your feed
er blistered that you'll be like, I'm done.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I can't'm hurt.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
But I will say that when you do work out
with like other people, like the way I was when
I first started, you.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Feel like less than it And that's okay.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
I know you're lifting off those forty fives for us,
so I can just do the bar, Like.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Oh, what's the goal?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Is the goal to get stronger, feel better, be healthier,
look better? Then you have to put aside your micro
pride for what your macro pride could be that you
are actually stronger, healthier now now you can't work.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Out for a while, Yeah, you're out. I think I'll
be good Monday, for sure? Oh you think so well?
Not for sure?

Speaker 3 (08:59):
You can?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
You coughed, went al.

Speaker 8 (09:01):
Yeah, and I'm loaded on medican medican medicine right now,
so loaded on it.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Over there. Man.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
I wanted this to be a learning lesson in the
most positive way. Again, you're my baby.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Bird. Thanks man, You're also like threes is taller than me.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
But for you to get better, you're gonna have to
accept that you're starting from a lesser place because you
started later.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Same with Eddie. Eddie started later and just never was
about ego. Yeah, it was less.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
It was less sure that I laugh and write little
journal entries about what.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yes, but now he's like a boss because he did it.
So you just have to pace yourself if the goal
is to get better.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (09:48):
And I'm mean I started with body weight and now
I got some weight on there, so like I can
take some off and still feel good about myself.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
But a lot of it is I'm.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Not making about feeling good about yourself. I'm you're already
in the wrong headspace. Don't make it about you're feeling
good about yourself because the weight that's on. Make it
because you're feeling good about yourself because of the work
you're doing and the process, because you will eventually have
all the way you want.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
But you're not if you don't go slow.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I wonder if Kevin Kluge is around to answer. Oh, yeah,
told him. I talked to him yesterday. I haven't talked
to him today. Kevin's true. Remember, Kevin knows everything for us,
friend him, and I'm surprised that Reid didn't call him
at the doctor. Listen to this, Kevin, can you talk
to the doctor for me?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah, Hey, we're recording our podcast, so you're on just
so you know, okay, what.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
You know?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
You were all it's me and Read and Naddy and
the rest of the crew.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
But we're recording our podcast now, so you're on, just
letting you know you're okay. Red, as he may have
told you, thinks he he like did something with the
disc in his back. What do you know about this?

Speaker 6 (11:00):
What do I know about his injury?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, like he said, he has like a herniated disc
in his back, and he coughed earlier and went owl.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
What would you what?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
What do you say about the whole situation? And what
should we learn from this situation?

Speaker 6 (11:16):
I'm not going to play doctor. What I know?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (11:24):
So he was squatting, and I know in the squad
he felt something pull right.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
Yes, later on he tells me he's running down his leg.

Speaker 9 (11:34):
Anytime it runs down the leg, it could be a
herniated disc, It could be side nerves.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Could that's true?

Speaker 6 (11:41):
So I've been I haven't seen him since Tuesday, so.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
You know, we're trying to lecture Read on not so
much about how he hurt himself, but why he felt
the need to try to compete weight wise when he
knows it's probably a bit too heavy and drop the
ego part of it and not feel like he has
to lift the same as me or Eddie and understand
that it's a process.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
I will actually take blame more than Read on that one.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I'll take it.

Speaker 9 (12:11):
Yeah, yeah, you know, it was a decent jump for him.
I I didn't say anything. I essentially invited it to
have him lift that weight. I think he could handle it.
His form actually looked great. I told him when when
he got injured, a bracing technique could help that, because

(12:35):
you know, you know, you know, that's what That's all
I got to say on that.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I guess you know, do you feel like though it
could have been and follow me here, it could have
been this that the under cook salmon.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Did.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
This could be the under cooked salmon.

Speaker 9 (12:56):
I will say I will take the blame on on
it over, you know, more than Reid.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I will say that I'm not going to allow that.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
But and you're and he's a Kevin's a selfless guy,
and I can hear him trying to take the blame,
which is not his fault.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I had lifted that weight before you have.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
But my also, my point is, I bet you it
wasn't that exact squad that hurt your back. You have
been trying to do everything with all back, yeah, and
not going, oh, maybe I.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Should do a little less because of an ego thing.
And Kevin's gonna push us.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
But he's also if I'm like, dude, I'm hurt, and
I'll hardly ever say that. As a matter of fact,
I don't say that I'm a bad example of this.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
I'll say it.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
You are, Yeah you are.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
But if I remember, like, hey, like my leg is
killing me, I have to say it, and he had
just accordingly.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Yeah, I like, I don't think i'd say I wouldn't say.
You didn't say that, Yeah, So I.

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Actually want to, like, I know you guys aren't asking
for this. I knew he was going to be an
extremely tough challenge, having him squat a seventy pound dumbbell.
He never has done that. His death has looked good.
I thought he's been brazen perfectly you're.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
You're a kind guy trying to take blame. I'm not
going to allow it because at any time any of.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Us can say no, I don't think this is because
I've done that before, Like, uh, this is a.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Little too much right now because of when my shoulder
was out. My shoulder was out for six months.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Yeah, and we had to do.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
All we're trying to explain to Read is the process,
like he did. There's no need to prove yourself to
anybody but yourself.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Very true with Reid.

Speaker 9 (14:21):
I feel like I'm being dodgy here with Red being
two three months in. You are right, Bobby. I'm also
for sure the main focus he should be focusing on
right now, this is on podcasts, like what we've bouncing
all this shit to everybody.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Mean we're literally talking about it. And I knew you
would come on and try to be the nice guy
and take the blame for it. And the whole purpose
was that Reid shouldn't feel because I used Eddie as
an example. Eddie didn't feel like he needs to do
the same weight I did forever. And Eddie's very strong
now because Eddie went through the process and and you
do push us.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
That's your job.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
But if you push us to a place where we
feel like, oh, it's our job to say it back.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (14:58):
Well, I hope you guys know when I ask how
are you feeling, it's not for just to say it.
Also in between sets, I know Bobby hates this. How
does the ankle feel? How are you feeling? I'm not
doing that just to speak and to fill the empty air.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
It's me.

Speaker 9 (15:12):
I need feedback how does it feel? Because I do
gauge that on where the weight goes. After that, obviously
I can do the eye test like is he moving
to fast? Is moving easy for my perceived eyes? Like
is it difficult? I you know, all those are in account.
I did make a judgment call him like, seventy pound Dumbell,
let's ride.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
And I think he's got I don't think this. I
don't think seddy poundumbells will hurt him. Think it was
what he was doing before. What are you gonna say
about Reid?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Though? You were like, and then you stop?

Speaker 6 (15:40):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 9 (15:41):
Did south because someone who's starting just now, you know,
I look at as the nutrition side of things to
where the thing I'm focusing on with him outside of
the gym is like just getting the protein down.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
And I was gonna pick on him for eating kellogg cereal.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
And but you but that's why I was like, wait,
this shouldn't be going up publicly if.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
I'm just you know, that's right.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
But yeah, I mean, Bobby, you are right. It is
a process.

Speaker 9 (16:09):
Uh yeah, the ego thing amongst everybody, including myself. Can
you know, yes, everyone everyone can do that. But it
is also my job to prevent that.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
So it's your job to push us.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
But also it's our job to speak up if it
starts to be a bit dangerous, because you should push us.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
That is the job. He pushes me.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I want to punch him in the face sometimes, but
I also am like if it's not good, I'm like, oh,
I need to chill on this for a second, because
this is nice.

Speaker 9 (16:37):
For sure, Because yeah, because my job is to bring
the intensity of what you guys would not do on
your free time. My job is to put you guys
in a safe zone. Find that even though even though
you guys hate.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Me some days we hate I mean you mean sometimes
all days, but just for a little bit of time,
like we hate it.

Speaker 6 (16:59):
It's a small talk.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Yeah, I hate small talk too. He's like, how the
feeling I'm like, fine, does work? And he's like, I'm like,
gonna just skips small talk.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Like but now you know he's asking for a purpose.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
But he's not. He do just because he knows. I'm
also never going to say I'm hurt unless I just
can't do it. Read. The whole point of this is
that you're going to get there. Don't rush back. I'm
not rushing. But also, don't be a puss. I got you.
It's a fine line. That's a fine line to walk
in the middle.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
Yeah, may I add one thing?

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Yeah, it's two things.

Speaker 9 (17:27):
This is a prime example of uh reads. Let's say injured, hurt,
whatever it is. It's a prime example of so still
come in today because we Bobby and Eddie will.

Speaker 6 (17:38):
Do their own thing.

Speaker 9 (17:39):
Reid will do something different, but he'll still get sixty
minutes of activity.

Speaker 6 (17:42):
In that will completely work around his injury.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I think we was planning on not coming. I was
looking at this. Reid was planning on doing nothing but skipping.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Is that right, Reid?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Originally you can't hear you a microphone.

Speaker 8 (17:53):
I like, oh yeah, originally you can still.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Talking to the microphone.

Speaker 8 (18:00):
Originally I was just gonna do some weighted backpack walks
around the track here, but I'm like, fifty.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Better to just come in. He'll do things that have
nothing to do with your back. That's great. I'm down.
I'm totally down for that. And so you go ahead, Kevin.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
I was just gonna say, so we have the three
A Migos at three.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Three Migos at three. Let's get it. We will be there.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
And Kevin Kluge. Kevin, what's the Instagram that you want
to promote?

Speaker 6 (18:21):
And I know you have two clue, Fitness that's the
main one.

Speaker 9 (18:25):
Unless you guys want to go look at my kids.
I'm the and the wife on my personal phase, but
fitness is the main one for all.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
Thanks Fitness, you know.

Speaker 9 (18:33):
Yeah, I put my personal stuff up on the Kevin Klug.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
They're still hashtag and I got kluge, but kluge fitness
one G or two.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
One G German baby.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
German Baby? Is that like anti America?

Speaker 10 (18:47):
Yeah's like I want to say, it's clogged.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
But all right, buddy, we'll see you later on today.
I just wanted to get you on. So we were
talking about you.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
We wanted you to be able to say something knowledgeable,
because what.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
We were saying was not appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
All right.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Anyway, he's so nice, he's the warm he's so nice.
What we said to him.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Tuesday because two days ago, Because Kevin, I've been friends
for a long time to the point where it's like
you're The relationship you have with the trainer is very intimate,
especially because him and I were one on one for years,
three or four years, because it's just you two doing
something together. You're angry at him, you're happy with him,
you have to trust him. They have to push you
and make you uncomfortable the same time. So all these emotions.

(19:37):
And but he is a he played college football and
he's jacked. Yeah, but he's also very warm. And I said,
from a musclehead.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
You're extremely warm.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
I think this Tuesday, that's why people like you. And
I see you, I don't like you, and you do
not look warm because you're jacked meathead. Yes, And I said,
but you're very warm. No, he does, he does.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
I told him that too. I said, do you want
first media? I'm like, there's no way I want to
be friends with this guy. And lovely, we're great friend.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah, he's super kind.

Speaker 10 (20:05):
Yeah, he's super nice. He couldn't say a bad word
about reader.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
It is all his He's like it's my fault, yeah,

three at Vanderbilt.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Are they here?

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
It's kind of weird because it seems like a big
school wouldn't go play a smaller school.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
I know, but they're in the same conference.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
But I remember that.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
You're right, you forget Sometimes.

Speaker 1 (21:02):

also feels weird, is oh that's here too?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, oh that's cool.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
All right, Sorry about Okay, what were we talking about?
Trying to put a parlay together?

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Alabama minus twenty three at Vanderbilt, ole Miss minus nine
at South Carolina.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
With me, No, what was that second one?

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Oh my god, I just said it then.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Oh, so I was looking for Bbama.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
So you have Alabama minus twenty three at Vanderbilt, O,
Ole Miss minus nine at South Carolina and then Missouri
plus two and a half at Texas A and m
hilarious there getting two points.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
I'm telling you, TEXTA A and anything good. I know.
So you have and I'm gonna read all this, Eddie,
But do you have them all?

Speaker 3 (22:02):

Speaker 4 (22:02):

ninety five.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
One unit is a dollar for one dollar. All right,
there you go.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
We're about to talk to Calvin Johnson, who is probably
the most dominant receiver in NFL history, like physically dominant.
Pretty cool that we have him on a couple things.
You have hurt my foot and he has a CBD
company that that they're working with athletes on injuries.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
You're gonna bring that.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
I'm gonna bring it up to start it.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Usually at the I'll bring on whatever plug is at
the end, but I almost start with that.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Al right, So he does an athlete, you know, he'd
be like, no, this guy's athlete.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Right.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
So with Calvin Johnson, NFL record for most receiving yards
in a season one and sixty four yards, NFL record
for most consecutive one hundred yard receiving games eight in
a row. NFL Hall of Fame twenty twenty one, College
Hall of Fame twenty eighteen. Second overall pick in the
two thousand and seven NFL Draft behind were you here?

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Yeah, but I don't remember who it was.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
JaMarcus Russell.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Marcus Russell, Yeah, played at Georgia Tech, played with.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
The Lions nine years, yeah, and retire I think it
was nine years. Has already been almost ten years since
he's been out.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, that's crazy and also full transparency. We literally just
finished the interview, like right, right, when we're recording this.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
He still looks young.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Yeah he does.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Like when you said that, like, yeah, he still looks
like he could still go.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Three time first team All Pro, six time Pro bowler,
I could keep going.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
He has like pages and pages of just stats. He
also made a four three forty at six four, like
six four and thick dang like he was big, but
he was like the perfect possession receiver but could also
fly and not be a possion receiver.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Crazy, He's a freak in the best of ways. And
we're super excited. And here is Calvin Johnson. Hey Calvin,
thanks for the time. Man, Hey good, I have a
question for you. I was I was reading about your
company Primitive and I have like this this and we're
on by the way, so I'm gonna ask your medical
advice as we're on.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Here, Like I still train why I.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Don't know, zombie apocalypse or something, but I have like
this tendon itis issue in my foot up through kind
of the left side of my shin. So what is
primitive and can I put it on my leg and
can and is it possible that this helps like injuries?

Speaker 9 (25:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (25:19):
Yeah, So Primitive performance is it's our CBD company, and
we use multiple kannabinoids, especially in our topical So for
that superficial you know, irritation, pain you inflammation, Yes, it
would be great for that. You know, it features CBD,
c b G, CBN and whether I say CBG or
CBC one or two, but those cannabinoids come together in

(25:40):
that entroage effect to attack and fight inflammation. So that's
the key sources of our pain. But I would say
that if it's going from you, you say, your foot
all the way up your leg a little bit, to
your ship, to your shins.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Yeah, I mean it's it's foot.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I thought it was an ankle injury at first, but
I went to the doctor and had the x ray
and stuff, and he's like, no, your structure is all good.
It's probably like some tendonitis like in that little area
right there, and he had recommended stuff.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Yeah, yeah, definitely definitely throw that thing on there.

Speaker 11 (26:06):
If we don't have it, I'll have the team singing
some but it's great for that, and I'll stay on
top of that.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Man.

Speaker 11 (26:11):
Massage therapy would try to make sure all those muscles
are online where they're supposed to be with help out too.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
I get that I get.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
I also do like the dry needling when you were playing,
how much did you invest in your body when you
were playing then? And like how much do you wish
you would have known then considering what you know now?

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Man?

Speaker 11 (26:30):
I did the house at myself. Man I had I'll
probably invested at least a couple of hundred grand and
just things from like hyperbarried chambers to this like post
electromagnetic electromagnetic therapy machine, to saunas to just all kind
of little like.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
A little machine, little hammer machines or whatnot. Got all those.
I got my own tens unit.

Speaker 11 (26:54):
You know how to put a patch on you and
you feel like the needle, kind of like the needling. Yeah,
I bought everything, and then I spent countless dollars on
my massage therapy. Like I said, I truly believe in that.
I still use the same lady I used when I
played in Tracy today. But I mean, and then dry
needly to your point chiropractic. So I mean, who knows

(27:17):
countless dollars spent? But I mean, this is your business,
this r here, this body is your business when you're
playing professional sports, So behoove you to do everything you
can to keep that business running.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
How do people get Primitive if they're listening, how do
they get Primitive?

Speaker 11 (27:30):
Yeah, Primitive Performance is available online. You go to Primitive
Performance dot com. We have a rehydration solution which features CBD.
Like I said, we're just trying to attack inflammation both
internally with our RS and then superficially we're our topical.
So our topical is our big seller. You try it,
you love it. It's great for authoriatis, it's great for the
professional athlete. And to that to the professional athlete, we

(27:52):
made it with a professional athlete in mind, because to
your point earlier, you know, we had some of these
things today. You know, maybe that's one of the things
I really wish I would have had you is our
topical just to beat down inflammation, whether it's my ankles
on my knees is something that can constantly use and
I used I use it today. So just being able
to have a product like that when I played with it,
maining play longer. Who knows, you know, but there's definitely

(28:12):
something that not only the professional athletes, but professional athletes
are using it. Because we went and got our NSF
for Sports Certification which allows athletes to use it so
they don't get popped for PDS. So that's crucial for
us to be able to, you know, achieve our goals
and have professionals using it. So looking forward to you know,
some ap stories coming out about some professional athletes using it.
So that's that's really been the dream of ours.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
You think you could, I don't know, get in three
catches a game now right now, and I feel.

Speaker 11 (28:40):
Like I'll blow a tire out the first time. I'm
running full speed and I try to change direction. I'm
not going back the other way. I want to keep
on going that way.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
How hard are you training now? Just in general life, I'm.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Not really training hard.

Speaker 11 (28:53):
I walk a run every day, I get my three
miles in at least, and I work out twice a week.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
I push it a little way twice a week.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Are you still in Detroit?

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Yep, still live in Michigan.

Speaker 11 (29:03):
And I met my wife here, started business here, so
probably gonna be for a little while.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
And how do you feel about the Lions' success right now?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Love it? Love it because it's coming from an authentic place.
You know, you got Brad.

Speaker 11 (29:19):
I mean it starts at the top of she but
I always say that, But you got Brad Holmes, you
got Dan doing his thing, you know, being just a
I mean just just being a player coach. You know,
you got a player head coach, and then you got
a staff full of player coaches. Like guys are going
to your athletes are going to be more inclined to
pick up any tidbits that those coaches are dropping off

(29:41):
because they've been there and done the things that you
want to do. I was fortunate enough to have a
player coach, you know, when I played in Sean Jefferson,
So I already know how that goes. Like I know
the guys are, they're locked in, you know, they're tuned
in to what's being said.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
And it's a beautiful thing because you see the results
on the field.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
I want to talk for a second about the Lions
game last week, and not so much that specific game
of golf.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
He didn't have an incompletion in the whole game, and.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
You know, and a lot of these quarterbacks now it's
a lot of checkdowns, a lot of cover to you know,
two high safeties keeping the big play from happening. Was
that not happening a lot while you were playing because
they're acting like, now, it's such an epidemic. It's all
two safeties running cover to trying to shut down all
the big plays.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Was that not happening as much or did you just bully.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
It that was happening.

Speaker 11 (30:25):
I mean, yes, that's the decordinator's jobs to stop that
big play receiver, that big play.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Threat from going off. So they're definitely going to have
a shell.

Speaker 11 (30:32):
If not to have a shell, they're going to have
that safety and another maybe one or two DB's like
triangulating that receiver that they want to take out the game. So, yeah,
that stuff's been happening. You know, we just busted the
top off of that thing.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Was there ever a time that run like cover zero
against you and there was no safety, right, there's nobody
back and you're like, oh my god, this is for sure.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
You just get me the ball, it's over.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
That was really rare.

Speaker 11 (30:52):
If they're going to run covers happened rarely, more so
maybe on a goal line situation or just in a
situation where we just didn't expect. Maybe they came with
it all out, But I'm sure there was times that
have happened.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Did you have very.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Often like a hand sign like you look over Stafford.
That just show me the freaking ball, Like, how was that?

Speaker 11 (31:09):
Oh yeah, there's multiple hand signs. This just depends on
what route he wanted me to run. You know, if
he wanted me to just run an run a quick fade,
you might just throw a finger down.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
You know. We had all the signals from all the
every every route had a signal.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Talk about going to Georgia Tech as a what was
your freshman year like? And did you show up physically
where you could compete immediately?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (31:30):
Man, when I got to Georgia Tech, I mean tough
as school man, tough as nails. You know, if you don't,
if you don't have your academic hat on, you're going
to get failed out of it. But definitely they do.
Coach chan Gaily threw me in the fire day one.
You know, I was making plays day one and then
that's why I ended up playing as a freshman my
whole year. So I was fortunate to have Chang Gaily
throw me in the fire like he did. You know,

(31:51):
I didn't believe. I think he told me that you
know company there, that he don't put me in there
right away, but.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
I didn't believe it.

Speaker 11 (31:56):
I'm a freshman, come in, you got like you know,
you got you know, you got sophomore, junior seniors that
have experienced and you just do me in the fire
and you know, I just, you know, just put the
blinders on.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
It went to work.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Did you fill your freshman year three four or five
games into it like you're like, oh, I'm I'm already
competing or a metal level where I can outperform these
nineteen twenty twenty one year old kids, or did it
take you a little bit?

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Man?

Speaker 11 (32:19):
It's my second game, my second game. We went down
to Clemson, went on Depth Valley a night game talking
about places rocking, and we went there and I caught
a game win touchdown and.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Shut that he can put it overtime. Maybe I don't
remember if it's overtime or not.

Speaker 11 (32:33):
Caught a game winning touchdown there or no, it was
eleven seconds left on the clock when I caught that thing,
and man, that was a welcome to America.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
What about high school? Like, how man amongst boys? Were
you in high school? Were you just dominating everyone in
high school?

Speaker 11 (32:49):
I really didn't really, you know, get my footing until
my eleventh grade year. I was playing JV a little
bit my playing JV and varsity my sophomore years, They're
trying to get me into you know, just give me
the feel of it. You know, I was dropping balls
left and right to call me butterfingers, you know, all
that kind of craziness, and uh, you know, I just
kind of, you know, put the work in after that
junior year because I was like, man, I can't be

(33:09):
out here dropping balls. And so then had a great
I had the stellar senior season and had offers from everywhere.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Were you also playing punt return like packages with quarterback?
Were you such an athlete that were putting you everywhere
to just have the ball in your hand?

Speaker 11 (33:24):
I played mostly receiver. I ran some reverses and whatnot,
but I was I was strictly receiver. I was six
four and then just all bones.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Oh so you were you were a skinny six four.
I was.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
I was like one eighty five in high school.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Yeah, yeah, that's pretty.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
That's a pretty And then I left college at two forty.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
What did that weight all come on because of like training,
eating or was it just like you just put it
on naturally genetically through those years?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
It was it was it was a natural thing.

Speaker 11 (33:51):
Over every every year, probably put on another ten pounds,
but it was I mean, I worked out like a
mad man. We ate good, and it was just still
had like, you know, than six percent or less body fast.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
So it was all muscle.

Speaker 11 (34:03):
And I remember when I got to the league, they
wanted me to play at like two thirty two to
two thirty five, and I'm like, dude, Like the things
I had to do to get down to wait on
Friday or Saturday, it was ridiculous. I'll be taking cast
role and I'll be running to the tour at two
in the morning just clear my system, and then after waiting,
I have to just pump everything back into me.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Calvin, what do your friends call you?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Man?

Speaker 3 (34:27):
It just all depends who it is.

Speaker 11 (34:28):
Family they call me, see you know anybody else you
might call me Cayle Calvin. And then if you don't
really know me, they might be calling me making trying
on the streets.

Speaker 7 (34:37):
All right, So, cal So, what do you think about
the current pass interference rules? What would you change about them?

Speaker 11 (34:46):
And not only in the pasting interference room, it was
just touching folks after five yards, man, I mean it's
just it's so subjective, you know, to whoever's calling the.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Calling them doing the flag.

Speaker 11 (34:59):
You know almost you see, it's just some inconsistency there
on what might be a PI or what might be
a hold or whatnot. So I just wish I had
the rules when I was playing, because I was draggon.
I was dragging people down the field all day. I
would have been I would have had a lot more
yards with that was the case.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Do you wish that the refs would take a look
at some of these passinger ference calls?

Speaker 3 (35:20):
I wish there was I wish they could do. I
wish they could be challenged.

Speaker 11 (35:24):
Are cases I'm like, man, that was not a PI
or whatnot. But for the most part, you know, they
get it right for the most part. I can't say that.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
What's your favorite NFL catch of your career that you
think back like, that's the one. If they were only
going to show one clip of me, this would be
a man.

Speaker 11 (35:40):
That's tough man. I mean, my favorite just because of
where we were in the game. We didn't win the
game with playing Cincinnati Bengals, and Matthew was about to
get sacked by my former teammate Mike Johnson in college,
he was on his toes and he looked. He launched
that thing fifty sixty yards and I went up on
it was pac Man was there around it perfected and

(36:01):
was right there.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Reggie Nelson was right there.

Speaker 11 (36:04):
I can't pronounce the other safety thame that was on
my back, but I had three four guys in the
immediate vicinity went up on and brought that thing down
that I think it ended up tying the game late
third or fourth quarter, So that was a big moment.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
We did end up winning the game, but that was
a hell of catching up.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
You ever make one of those catches where you didn't
realize you caught it. You're like, oh my god, I
can't believe I caught that ball. Like you came down
there's arms and legs everywhere, and you're like, I cannot
believe I actually have this ball.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Even though those happened all the time.

Speaker 11 (36:28):
You know, the reason that those happened is because you're
so used to doing some of those things in practice
that it becomes instinctial. So you're like, damn, like, I
don't even remember how that happened.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
To your point, what about the one.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Hand catch, because everybody's doing it now, did you train
doing one hand catches because I feel like they weren't
as prevalent back when we were a little younger.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (36:47):
No, I never trained on one handed catches like you
see guys before the game. I was always two handed.
I only caught a ball one handed out of the necessity.
I feel I only caught like like three maybe one
hand passes in my career. And my thing was like
thing I was always coached. You know, if you get
two hands on it, get two hands on it. Because
one thing that frustrates me, and I see it every year,

(37:07):
see these guys that come out here and try to
catch in one hand, either they do have alligated arms
or they just don't make the play.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
And I'm just sitting here like how easy would it
have been to get that other hand out there?

Speaker 2 (37:19):
It urks the hell out of Hey, what's Turf to you?
R F?

Speaker 1 (37:22):
I know it launched earlier this year, so and i'd
seen that it was like, uh, inspired by tech Mobile,
which I played a lot when I was a kid.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
So what is turf?

Speaker 11 (37:31):
Yeah, Turf is so primitive is our main brand. Turf
is more more economical brand, you know, So we said
it to begin with greatness. They want to be the
great products that everybody can enjoy. So is our economical
brand of flour and gummies.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
So it's like the junior varsity version.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
Is that there you go.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
I need it like broken, I need I need like
very very simple for me. No, I'm going to get
some of this primitive I can and I can order
it right like I can order it be SENTI me here.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
If you're in Michigan, you can, Wow, that's you know, cannabis.
You can there's no interstate you know commerce, but anything
on the CBD site Permitive Performance dot Com. Yeah, you
can get that.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
That's what I gotta get then in Michigan. And I
ain't trying to go to jail. I want to.

Speaker 6 (38:14):
I want to.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Hey, So with the NFL adding games and you you know,
holding the record for yards, I don't know, do you
feel like they're adding a game it gives people more
of an opportunity to break a record that probably would
have never been broken.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
One percent. It's gonna get I mean, at some point
it's going to happen. You know.

Speaker 11 (38:29):
You see, guys got close for a couple of years
and then I mean I feel like every year that
they might be get you closer maybe not last year,
but every year they get closer and closer. Man, all
you need is a good healthy quarterback and a good
healthy receiver for seventeen games now, and it's definitely possibly
saw Tarik and see how his quarterback went down. You know,
he had a great start to the season, but that
severely impacted your ability if you don't have a stability

(38:51):
at that quarterback position to attain that.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Final three questions.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
How important. We're seeing this with a couple of teams
that I can go to. The Dallas Cowboys, that's my
buddy Eddie's favorite team.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
Love them.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
They don't really in my opinion, they don't really have
a number two.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
I mean, Brandon Cooks is a good receiver, but I
feel like that they're not getting the output out of
him that they expected. So it's hard for the And
I'll use you as an example. If you don't have
a solid number two, does it make your life so
much harder as a number one?

Speaker 11 (39:18):
No, one hundred percent, And let me let me start here,
like I don't know a lot of hell, Dallas is
America's team. They ain't won like for these thirty years.
That probably should be like the Patriots, right now or something.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (39:28):
They don't even deserve it right now. Anyway, I'm off track.
But now as far as that number two receiver, man,
you gotta have it. I remember when I got Golden
Tate here, Nate Burrolson as well. You know they're able to,
you know, to make some plays and you know, at least,
you know, make the defense think about them. You know,
not saying that Brandon Cooks can't do that, but you
still I think you need to get another guy with

(39:48):
some stature that could go across them, that can do everything.
You know, you can't just have put them in one
place and be like, okay, I want move CJ around
and just leave you in one place. You got to
move them both around. You got to keep the defense guessing.
And not to say that Brandon Cooks can't do it,
but it wouldn't hurt to have somebody there, like uh,
I mean, can you imagine if they still had a
MARII Cooper and CD. I know, obviously the numbers don't

(40:10):
make sense as far as what they got to pay
the guys, but you know you kind of need that
dual presence.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
You know.

Speaker 11 (40:14):
I've never I was never fortunate to have like a
twin tower situation, you know, I mean that would been awesome.
You know, I remember growing up watching Clemson back in
the day and they always had two big receivers and
they used to kill guys back in the day.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
But no, man, that's that That is a uh.

Speaker 11 (40:30):
That was a dream of mine. But just getting another
guy over there that can make plays and make it
it has the respect of defensive coordinators, has their attention
to the all defenses. You got to have that if
you want to let one, I mean, if you want
to have uh that the other receiver get off.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Kansas City has they have Xavier Worthy, who's rookie and right,
he's a downhill guy at least that's what he was
in Texas, and that's a bit what he is now.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
But they've lost everybody. Like what is Kansas City to
do with out a real number one or number two?
Like what would be your advice to them?

Speaker 3 (41:02):
Yeah? Yeah, I heard of Mark Cooper out there.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Yeah, Davante Like the Raiders just said they would trade
DeVante Adams.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
But like that costs money.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
That costs money.

Speaker 11 (41:13):
You still got these guys on your staff that you're
going to want to have there for years of really
rice hell of a receiver. But yeah, he just went down,
you know, So it's tough. Man, It's gonna be a
heck of my feet. And I mean we already know
Patrick Mahome is great, but man, if he could get
them even close to sniffing up Super Bowl, I mean, damn,
Like the kid is the kid?

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Is it?

Speaker 4 (41:32):
Cal?

Speaker 7 (41:32):
When you stopped playing, what was the one thing that
you were able to do? Because it was it like
stay up late on Saturday nights, you know, because like,
what was the one thing that you could finally do
because you're not playing anymore?

Speaker 3 (41:44):
You know.

Speaker 11 (41:44):
When I was playing, you know, I worked my tail
off while I was playing, so I always look forward
to the time that was gonna be able to just
go sit on my couch and just chill out and
do nothing, have.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
The clicker in my hand, you know.

Speaker 11 (41:55):
But that didn't last for two weeks, you know, and
after I retired, because we're so used of being on
the go from being from high school on up, you know,
consistently have a schedule going from one thing to the next,
So that kind of just like, you know, just having
that built in for so long, it's kind of hard
to get away from that. So I instantly, you know,
it was like what's next. You know, it's time to

(42:15):
put my business hat on. So I went into doing
some franchising. Didn't really love it then really it wasn't
really passionate about it. So sold that off and then
continue doing real estate, real estate until the cannabis industry
came online in Michigan and just by chance, you know,
we're buying properties and you know, Boston properties in the
quote unquote green zones. And we had to make a
decision at that point whether we want you want to

(42:37):
be a tenant and collect the passive love check or
start a business, and we chose the latter started a business.
Now we've been in this thing like shoot seven maybe
go on here about at least seven years and got
a team of at least sixty people.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
You know that we're that we're that we leave.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
If Calvin Johnson was telling me real estate, I buy
a house, even if I didn't need it for sure,
I'd be like, oh, yeah, you're a real estate guy.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
I'll take two.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
Cal were you showing how this is the living room?

Speaker 11 (43:01):
I wasn't actually, you know, I was working on getting
my real estate license, and then I stopped doing that
when the cannabis industry came online, so we were just
buying properties and just you know, being landlords.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
Got it all right.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Final two things.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
After you retired, did you ever have a moment where
you're like, I think I may want to give it
a shot again.

Speaker 11 (43:17):
I mean, you think about it, and then what makes
me second guess that? Even was like, Okay, so I
did my camps every year at Detroit, and you know,
I mean, I am doing my camps, just showing the
kids a couple of drills, and I'll get home that
night and like after a game, like I'm like, I
can't let my feet. I'm dragging my feet across the
floor just because everything's swollen. And I was like, damn,

(43:38):
I'm just doing a campus showing some drills to these
kids and I can't even move. So I knew that,
Like it wasn't didn't take long after I retired. I
mean I knew I was done just because of where
I was as a buidy. When my body was like
trying to put in the same level of effort and
work in the off season, all the things that I
did to get ready, it just wasn't it was hurting
so much that it took all the zepth, all the

(43:59):
fun out of what we're actually trying to do and accomplish.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
A lot of trophies, a lot of balls behind you.
The final thing I'll ask.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
You is like, what what's your favorite piece of memorabilia
behind you or what's one that you see now that
you can tell us a story about.

Speaker 11 (44:13):
Mmmm.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (44:16):
I mean I got one back there with with my
I had a touch or touchdowns with my son's birthday.
But I mean, I'll tell you one thing, man, I
only have a ball for this. But should We played
that snow game and in Philly that year, Like before
the game it was sunny, and you come out like

(44:37):
you know, we go in, you know, warming.

Speaker 3 (44:38):
Up and go in. You put your jersey and foot me,
you put you pass stuff on. You come back out.

Speaker 11 (44:41):
They're snow on the ground, Go back in, come back
out for the game. It's like six inches of snow
on the ground. But the significance of this game was
it wasn't anything that happened in the game. It was
my parents. They came to the game, and so after
the game and Mom was going to the airport and
she slipped and fell and from that, you know, they
wouldn't got her. She got checked up and she found
out she had pancreated to cancer. And she's still here
with us today only because you know, she fell at

(45:03):
that game, so she wasn't at that game, we would
never know she wouldn't be here with us today. So
you know, that's one of the most you know, just me,
just I think that, you know, timing is everything. You know,
God puts people, you know, puts you in opportunities in
your life. But you have to be ready. You have
to go work to tell off to be ready to
be to accept the step through that door when those

(45:23):
challenges come. And I was just fortunate to be playing
in the NFL at the time so that you know,
this situation did happen. And you know, I said, she's
still here with us today and she was that she
celebrated on Sunday as a thank you at a cancer
survivor so that's or Monday. So that was pretty.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Awesome, great story, Thanks for sharing that.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Congratulations and so check out Primitive So what's the website
where can people go to get this?

Speaker 11 (45:45):
Yeah, Primitive Performance dot Com is our CBD site and
then check out more about what we're doing here in
Michigan is just primitive dot com or or Primitive group
dot com. So yeah, check us out. We're doing a
lot of good things here in the community, our cannabis company.
We have a giving arm that we're able to do
things in the communities that we work in, you know,
whether it's you know, fighting food and securities, you know,

(46:07):
doing book back drive, just trying to help out our
community that we're working there. So we do a lot
of good things both in Lancing which is where near Lancing,
which is where our cultivation is, and then out and
now just closer to South Bend which is where our
retail shot is. So go check it out. We have
a wonderful team. If they give you any trouble, just
let me know.

Speaker 4 (46:25):
Well.

Speaker 2 (46:26):

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Hope you have a great day, Good luck with the company,
and just appreciate your generosity of those stories.

Speaker 3 (46:31):

caluc Everybody.

Speaker 10 (48:09):
Your Razorbacks play Tennessee this weekend? Where do you rank
the balls on your top five most Hated teams?

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Power Rankings for the most hated at number five, North Korea.
That makes sense, I'm listening to all these are the
groups I hate the most, the North Korea regime. I'm
sure the people are fine, but like the North Korea
at five, Cobra Kai at.

Speaker 7 (48:29):
Four, Oh, are you talking like eighties Cobra Kai or
the new Cobra Kai.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Both well when they're bad like in the in the movies,
but also for parts of the Netflix series that I watch.
I know it's shifted because I don't know good people
turned bad back to but Cobra Kai at number four,
at number three of my most Hated teams list, Kentucky basketball,
I know we're talking football about put Kentucky basketball number three.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Again, they can hugg a root, kick rocks, huggar root.
I've never heard that, and lick on these new whoa.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
Those are the three things that Kentucky basketball as a
group can do do. I like the people individually absolutely,
as a group difficult, so hug ondes.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
That's why I say Kentucky basketball.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
Number two, Tennessee, oh number two more than North Korea
and Cobra Kaine.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
But again as a group, right, because.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
You have all yeah, kind of individually too, but okay, no,
I've I have all fan friends.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
But as a group, I think it's been a couple
of things. With Tennessee. One, they were our constant whenever
SEC SEC East, SEC West does.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
A whole thing, and you played one constant across, so
we were West and our one we played every year
with Tennessee. South Carolina was our constinant as well. We
did have dropping Tennessee after a while, But because we
played Tennessee so often, you start to form a rivalry.
Not only that nineteen ninety eight were undefeated. We fumble
the ball on a drive or we just had to
take the ball. That we're playing national championship, we do

(50:00):
they beat us. They didn't cheat and do anything except
piss us off and played rocky top after we fumbled
the ball.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
They just made a documentary about the nineteen ninety nine season.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
It's called Like the re Emergence, and we beat them
and kept them out of the National Championship Game in
ninety nine, So there are games that actually made that
a bit of a rivalry.

Speaker 2 (50:16):
Tennessee fell off.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
For a long time, and we were kind of good
after that because the part of Houston and the barby
Patrino era. We were averaging nine wins a season for
ten years, which is good because we had some ten
to eleven game win seasons. So Tennessee is at number two.
Texas is number one for sure. Sure, Yeah, it's just Orange, man.

(50:37):
I'm sprised syrac used to make the list for no reason.
They're just Orange, so I don't but no. And also proximity, right,
big deal too. Texas Southwest Conference were it's a bit
before me. But everybody in the generation above me. When
you're in Arkansas, you are just told you must hate Texas.
They're bigger, they have more money, they have more of

(50:58):
a history, and we're a little brothers' play.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Just to hate your big brother.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
The Texas rivalry is humongous, from us to them, from
them to us not so much.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
That's a little insulting, by the way, but it is
what it is.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
We're not even thinking about you, not really.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
We beat them the last time we played, and we
stormed the field. They ended up going three and nine
that year, didn't matter. At the time, we thought they
might be good. We stormed the field.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
It was awesome.

Speaker 10 (51:21):
Is that like a West Coast version of because I
didn't even know that until I moved out here.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Biggie Tupac. Correct, it's exactly what it.

Speaker 10 (51:26):
Is, exactly what I was, Kobe, No, I was thinking
UCLA and USC U c l a little brother.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
I think they both kind of hate each other.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
Though.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
Texas really doesn't hate us because we're just like a We're.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
Like a little gnat on them.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Yeah, and we've been problematic to them over the years
at times.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Yeah, Texas hate us because we're just little goofballs. That's true.

Speaker 7 (51:48):
Having a school he runs city though, that's gonna be tough.
USC and U c l A like they're both La, right.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
La is so big though, and USC runs I mean, yeah,
but LA is so.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Big that they have multiple sports teams, two schools, they
got a couple of gas stations, a few nine says,
so that.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
Would be my list, and I hate sorry, go ahead
all right? Although they are nine point favorites.

Speaker 10 (52:12):
Do you think Ole Miss is in trouble this weekend
at South Carolina?

Speaker 2 (52:16):
I don't. I think I would hate to play ole
Miss after they lost that.

Speaker 4 (52:20):
Game, because they're gonna be pieased.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
Yeah, I'm a big emotion guy.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
You're they're really good.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
I'm sure they were discounting Kentucky. You start to believe
in what everybody tells you are, even if you don't
mean to, even if you're saying you're not.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
It's kind of hard.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
So I think they thought they'd go in and just
take care of Kentucky, and they did not.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
I think now a bit of a reality check.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Because they lose another one, there's a shot they will
not be in the College for Ball playoff.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
So now it even matters more. They're not even allowed
to lose another game.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
That's the thing too about these teams, even if they're
not overlooking the who's eating cereal?

Speaker 2 (52:59):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (53:01):
I think that's a new element of it too, is
where everybody doesn't have to be extreme one hundred percent
dialed and focused on losing every game because you can't
lose a game.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
So you're gonna see these big school I mean, look
at who was it the week Missouri Vanderbilt.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
Yeah, like they almost lost that game. But I think
teams now they don't have to feel like, oh god,
we can't ever lose, want to get I think there's
kind of a little room for error.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
But I think they're gonna run it. Really, I think
you do. So that's only three and one. They're good.

Speaker 10 (53:30):
Yeah, and LSU should have lost to South Carolina. At
South Carolina, that's a tough place.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Yeah, I agree. I just think oll miss I wouldn't
want to come off that loss. If they were coming
off will win, I think I would feel different about it.
And I think coming off that loss is they're going
to be pretty motivated to not let that happen again.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
Is Rocket Sanders running back at South cauth Carolina?

Speaker 2 (53:48):
No, hey, yeah, okay, I thought I heard him. I
was watching the LSU game and I was like, what
he's over there. I did not know that. Raheem Rocket Sanders. Yeah,
dude did some a lot of nil with him.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
That's where we met him.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
Yeah, all right, what else?

Speaker 3 (53:58):
All right?

Speaker 2 (53:59):
NFL?

Speaker 10 (53:59):
Here with the ports of the Raiders willing to trade
Devonte Adams, which team do you think you go after him?

Speaker 3 (54:05):
Ah?

Speaker 2 (54:05):
You know, I know you want me to say Cowboys.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (54:08):
Here's the I didn't think you.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
Here's the interesting thing about this trade. In the DeVante
Adams contract, they basically have to pay him thirteen million dollars.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
That's it forever.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Now he's making you know, thirty thirty, whatever those numbers are.
The next two years, those are not guaranteed years in
the contract, so and we're already for games in those
game checks have already been paid for this year. So
with the money left for this season, it's basically like
thirteen million dollars thirteen or fourteen. I'm gonna be a
little fuzzy on the numbers because I don't have anything

(54:41):
in front of me here that says that they don't.
Those next two years are not guaranteed. So a team
that gets him and he does not have no trade
clause from what I see and know. So let's say
they trade him too. Let's just pick a team, the Vikings.
Then I can turn the Vikings. But he goes to
the Vikings, they pay them thirteen million bucks and they're like, cool,
we rented you for a year.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Now you're a free agent. Do your deal. They could
do that. He's thirty two, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
Believe, so that's not old old in receiver world. It's
like the thirty year old running back. So it's not
going to be the massive financial commitment that a lot
of folks think it may be. If you just look
at his contract, because those two years are not guarant
you're not on the hook for sixty.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
Five seventy eight million dollars. You're all look for thirteen million.

Speaker 10 (55:29):
It's pretty dangn good for him. Thirty one.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Yeah, yeah, so it would be fun if he went
to the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (55:37):
I don't know what I mean, they need him?

Speaker 3 (55:39):
No?

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Why do you say?

Speaker 10 (55:40):
Because I like Devontae Adams and I hate players that
I like go to teams that I don't like.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
They have no Budy's selfish.

Speaker 5 (55:46):
The Raiders trade them to the Chiefs is like a
division rival right.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
The Raiders will do whatever they can do to get picks.
Who are they rivaling?

Speaker 3 (55:53):
Right?

Speaker 2 (55:53):
The Raiders aren't redersn't rifles anyway, ready to rivals on.

Speaker 4 (55:56):
But yeah, Vegas, they suck. Vegas don't even like them.

Speaker 1 (55:59):
The Raiders arrivals to RENOFL team, yes, so, and that
is always a concern, right, And we saw an inner
division trade earlier this year that was kind of rare.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
I forget maybe it was the Eagles they got oh
yeah commanding, Yeah, yeah, so rare, But do happen?

Speaker 1 (56:22):
And I think the Raiders just need something because he's
not gonna play again, and he's if you don't get something,
you're going to get nothing. And I don't think they're
in a place where even if they were to trade
them to a division rival, whatever they gets really not
gonna affect any time when he's playing, because what's he
got two three years left of really?

Speaker 2 (56:42):
Yeah, Casey just wants someone in the Jets's why get
there and getting there?

Speaker 1 (56:46):
So I think the Chiefs will be interesting. The Chiefs
can't mess with anything on their defense because their defense
is really good and it gets overshadowed a lot because
they have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcey and they've won
Super Bowls. But their defense is really good. But they're
gonna have to rely on their defense to ken it
and they have to get them through some of these games.
So Chiefs will be fun. They need a wide receiver.

(57:07):
They're gonna have to get one somewhere. I don't know
where they're gonna get it. Like an Adam Thinlam would
be interesting for the Chiefs then too, because.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
They need he hurt.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
He's hurt, Yeah, but he's not dead. He's not a
ton a but he's not young. I think they I don't.
I think he's coming back though. Yeah, he he didn't die.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
So are somebody like that, like a a middle of
the field possession receiver. Again, they've got speed on the outside.
They need somebody who can just catch the ball. I
mean Rashi Rice was doing a lot of that, a
lot of the.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
Short routes middle of the field. So they just need
somebody to run routes. Chiefs be interesting. Cowboys would be awesome.

Speaker 4 (57:42):
That'd be great.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
We need him and a lot of It's like, oh,
they don't have any money again, but they're not committed
to seventy million dollars with them.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
They're committed to thirteen.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
Yeah that changes everything, it does.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
But how eager and motivated is he going to be
to play when he doesn't have another year.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
They don't add they don't guarantee another year or so
on the contract unless he just wants to go play
for a team that has a shot to.

Speaker 2 (58:04):
Win this year.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
Nobody, nobody wants to go play their final year of
their contract and play hard and get injured and be old,
and all those are factors there. If you're twenty five
in your dominant if you're Brandon AYUK twenty six, twenty
seven and your deal's coming up, it's last year deal
and you get hurt, that's okay because even if you
take a year off, which doesn't happen, you're still young.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Yeah, and what are they gonna do? Hey, modern man,
modern medicine. Modern medicin is pretty nean.

Speaker 4 (58:34):
We've heard about it.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
Yeah, So it's different with him though, Like I don't
know if he's gonna want to go and not make
business decisions at thirty two with at least another year
in this contract.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
So cowboys be fun. Brandon Cook has gone that what
happened to?

Speaker 5 (58:46):
Yeah, I know, you got like an infection or something
like that.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
Yeah, I don't know a week either.

Speaker 5 (58:51):
I just saw he was out, like wait what Yeah,
it was like, I think he got surgery and then
the surgical area got infect Do you have him in
that fantasy or no?

Speaker 1 (59:00):
I just was I just saw Brandon Cooks out and
I was like, I don't remember an injury.

Speaker 4 (59:04):
And he played fine on last Thursday.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
So they're number two, which even Calvin Johnson was talking
about not really a number two.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
They need somebody. He wasn't even now he's hurt.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
Who is bad?

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Who is it? Now?

Speaker 4 (59:17):
It's bad?

Speaker 7 (59:17):
Tolbert, Tolbert, We got tolver Albert needs to be a
full back. And then the little guy turping. I mean
that's the way.

Speaker 10 (59:23):
He was a good full back. Mike Colbert, Yes, he
was good.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Oil When I see him catch a ball, I'm like,
he's just playing the wrong position. Mike Tilb had a
little belly. Remember that he was a little bull.

Speaker 4 (59:34):
This guy's name the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
The Steelers are interesting. Huh.

Speaker 5 (59:39):
I didn't even hear that one.

Speaker 4 (59:40):
That's the one.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Yeah, he's just not going to get the ball a lot.
They're not going to blow your doors off offensively.

Speaker 10 (59:48):
Yeah, you're not gonna want to go from Aiden O'Connell told, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
I don't even know if it's an I probably would
want to go from Vegas to anywhere though that organization.
But I don't know that the Steelers is where I
would to go because they're not going to really run
an offense that highlights you, especially if they're not gonna
pay you two more years. Maybe you go to the
Steamers if they guarantee the next two years, because then
you know you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Get that seventy million. But if they don't, I would
not want to.

Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
Go play in Pittsburgh because they're basing a lot of
their success off their defense as well.

Speaker 7 (01:00:15):
When you demand a trade, do you have a choice,
Like are you telling them like that's where I want
to go.

Speaker 6 (01:00:19):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
But yes, but no, NBA players have a little more power.

Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Yeah, but you still can't force it. We saw like
Lillard try that, Yeah, and he wanted to go to
Miami and that didn't work. So then he goes to
the city that's closest to Miami in every way, right
down the road.

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
So no, but I mean they'll probably listen.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
But it's like, Okay, if you want to go to
trade there, let's see what they'll offer us. I'm sure,
but if you have no trade clause, everything's different.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
But the answer is no, they don't. They don't have to.
The final one is there's.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Two hold I'll get I'll get to the big two
that make the most sense. But I think even the
Bills make a little sense because they.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Got no one they could I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:01:04):
I mean, I don't know the receivers.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
Number one, and I think he's developing into that. But
you're right, I don't think he's a number one right now.
I think he's a one and a half or a
really good two one big possession.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
You were just saying, yeah, I think he's JV T. Higgins.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
So the Bills are a place that he could possibly go.
Now it gets to the big two now that make
the most sense because of the relationships the Saints. He
went to Vegas to follow Carr like he left Green Bay,
Roger leaving green Baby left that he left to go
because you want to play Derek Carr.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
That's this guy called as this guy from college. So
I've even read the.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
Stories to say he's he's open to going to the
Saints and they may actually be okay, new head coach
and offense. According to the running offense, they're throwing the ball.

Speaker 7 (01:01:53):
Like if you followed him to the Raiders and you
weren't that good?

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Like, why do it again?

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
Because Josh mcda the coach.

Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Yeah, it could be an offensive philosophy, it could be
a ton of brea, but you're seeing Car. He's playing
a lot better because he's he's in a but he's
in a position to actually play better the coaches That
offense allows him to make throws that he can make.

Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
You love Car Man.

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
I like Car. I think he was. It's a bad
running with the Raiders. They suck.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
They suck in every way. So why are we going
just Car sucks? No, everybody sucks. What's the common theme
the Raiders? Not every player like Devont Adams sucks right
now and it sucked for two years.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Does he suck? No, but every other the Raider sucks
because the Raiders suck.

Speaker 3 (01:02:38):
So uh.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
And then it's the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:02:41):
Let's go baby?

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Is that what you want?

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
I mean, if it's gonna get rid of Hassan Reddick
and that whole thing. If I don't know that it is,
but I might. I mean, for the Raiders standpoint, you
got Max Crosby on one side and then a Son
Reddick on the other side. I mean, you could build
around that, you know what I mean? If you're trying
to reset here with Antonio Pierce defensive mind.

Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
Beating a perfect scenario for you.

Speaker 11 (01:03:08):
To make.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
He's like, here's what you got should do right, let
me break it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
Down for you right now.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yeah, would you be willing to give up because they
want a second round pick?

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Plus? Would you be willing to give up a secon
round pick for de Montay Adams for one year? The
rest of this year?

Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
I think? So? I mean this year is the all
in year.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
I mean, I don't think we're gonna keep this whole
thing going next year if this is an utter failure.
So if it's just me, if we swing for the fences,
let's just get him. Like you said, we don't have
any commitment to him, so why not he knows Rogers.
The whole thing with Garrett Wilson right now is that
they're not on the same page.

Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Would you as.

Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
That's tough, that's tough. Yeah, I don't know if you
could do that. You can't do that, you know, yeah,
I mean twenty four, Yeah, you can't do that.

Speaker 6 (01:03:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
If you're all in, Jets have an extra third round
pick this upcoming draft up they could give as well.
So there are there are ways to make it work.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
What about Garrett Wilson in a second and a third? No,
DeVante Adams in a second and a third for Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
I don't know if I could pull the trigger on that,
but I I think we need Garret Wilson. I think
I don't know. I would say no, do you guys
draft a quarterback this year? We might have to. I
don't know who it's gonna be, but.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
I hope it's not like that means you sucked.

Speaker 5 (01:04:33):
Yeah, well yeah that then yeah, then we're definitely getting Shadder.
If we have a chance to get Shadur, yeah, then
we're gonna blow up everything.

Speaker 4 (01:04:40):
So I don't know. There's actually another.

Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
Team that I think could be potentially interesting is the
Bengals if they swap T Higgins for Davante, Like if
you're going on because they're not gonna be able to
pay both receivers Jamar Chase and T Higgins, so why
not get rid of Higgins, give him to the Raiders,
You get Davante for the year, and then you're all
in this year on when with Burrow and Jamar Chase
before you got to pay Chase. Interesting, I thought that

(01:05:05):
might be.

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
Yeah, I don't hate it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
I guess I never saw anybody talk about that that
knows more than I do, So I never really considered that,
But maybe you just heard because you're right. Even Calvin
John's talked about that. They didn't. He have so many
big stars in the show. Confused. If I'm gonna pick
just blindly, if they're like, beout one hundred bucks, I'd

(01:05:27):
bet the Saints. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
I think they feel like they really have a shot.
Maybe not this season, but I think they pay him,
and they'd get him and then pay him. Yeah, and
he wants to go play the car. It's not the Raiders.
I probably I would probably bet the Saints.

Speaker 5 (01:05:40):
But it's the least dysfunctional out of all the franchises.

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
That you could go to.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
The Chiefs would be at least well, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:05:47):
I guess I'm still don't think that's I don't know.
The whole division thing I feel like is functional. Steelers
are weird, Jets are dysfunctional. Yeah, they're cool for the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
I like that, like that. Yeah, why do people hate
the Chiefs like Kevin?

Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
Kevin's like Kevin's a big fat hypocrite. I'm gonna tell
you why, because he's like, no, the Patriots are nice.
They were good.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Yeah, we say babies crossing the street. And I'm like, well,
you only people only hate him because they want a
whole lot.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
And he's like, yeah, that stupid. He's like it, Chiefs, Okay,
you're a hypocrite.

Speaker 7 (01:06:16):
There's nothing unlike unlikable about the Chiefs.

Speaker 10 (01:06:20):
You thought, what wait, what did Tom Brady do off
the field or off the field.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
But it's not the point. He didn't. That's not the
point the balls and spygate.

Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
But listen, my point is they just want so people
hated them unfairly, and you're doing that to the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
I just think that they don't. You don't want to
because they take away from your Patriots.

Speaker 10 (01:06:39):
I don't want them to win, but I just don't
think that they get any flock that they should like.
They get a lot of the same class. Travis Kelseys
throwing a lot of fits doesn't get anything for it.
Twice and then mom, did you see his mom sold.

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Team Tom Brady like to get touched on the shoulder flag.
You're literally yelling at yourself five years ago right.

Speaker 4 (01:06:59):
Now, No, I don't understand it.

Speaker 10 (01:07:01):
Okay, I'll be the first to say we did get
the calls, and we did, but you look back, I
think it was it was like Patrick Mahomes already had
more past interferences overturned or something like that than Tom Brady.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Something like that. I'm moving on. Next question, hater, last
question here. How great is Tom Brady?

Speaker 10 (01:07:19):
Do you think the Vikings or more likely to lose
the first game or the Jags more likely to win
the first game?

Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
This weekend, the Vikings played the Jets in London. It's
at nine am game.

Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
I like that. Yeah, those are cool.

Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
I rarely catch the beginning of it, but I don't care.
I wake up.

Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
I'm like, it's a halfway to the first quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
Oh wow, I love wake up, I said an alarm.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
I like, I don't know. I don't because I want
to wake up my own time and I like to
wake up like this. Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
So they play the Jets in London. Sam Donald has
eleven touchdowns, three interceptions.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
The Jags play the Colts.

Speaker 7 (01:07:52):
But it's the NFL, right, Like the Jags are gonna
win at some point. Yeah, but he's asking about this
week probably this week, is what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
And the Vikings are going to lose at some point.
The Jags have to win, right you know. I like
about the Colts, though.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Joe, He's I think this could be the week where
they both win. I think the Vikings beat the Jets,
but I think the Jags can beat the Colts.

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Sorry, dude, Hey there, you guess that's the tittle Tittle.
Thank you closing his name ever the tittle Tattle.

Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
So I'm gonna say this before we go, and we're
gonna beat this. Remember to beat this before we put
it up, and then we can play it back on Monday. Okay,
I can just say what was beeped on Monday. So
I'm gonna beat what I'm about to say. But I
want to tell Eddie and get his reaction and then
I will tell everyone. I just can't tell you right now.

(01:08:51):
I've been told I can't say anything about it, but
I'm gonna say it. I Mike can get your reaction.

Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Okay, so on back towards.

Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
Yes, yes, it's happening, So all that's we that's crazy, dude.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
We will tell you what it is.

Speaker 7 (01:09:14):
That's the coolest thing I've ever heard like, I'm so
happy for you. Funny, that's amazing. Do you tell your wife?
Of course you told your wife? No, you haven't told
your wife. Are you just gonna Are you just gonna
let me? Are you just gonna let her find out? Yeah,
when it happens.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
But she also won't care.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
If I'm telling you, I know my wife that stuff
doesn't impress her.

Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
No, but what about she won't care?

Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
Say nothing, say say no more. I'm not gonna say
less because that means keep, but I'm gonna say say
no more.

Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
I'm done.

Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
We'll tell you on Monday what it is. That's awesome, dude,
Pretty funny. Huh, that's awesome. Big games, real quick.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Michigan State a number six, organ Organs twenty three point favorite,
Syracuse number twenty five U and I be let's go
you and ob minus six and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:09:57):
Why you wear a Syracuse shirt because that's my alma mater.

Speaker 6 (01:09:59):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
You would there?

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Yeah, big orange baby.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Either orange scrowm You don't like Illinois either, but I
do like Baltimore. I'm ruing for them there. I know
they lost like eleven in.

Speaker 6 (01:10:10):
A row or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Done, so.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
I lost money on I got root for Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
I feel bad for Orioles fans. Isn't that day? It's
eleven and something like that. You haven't playoff games in
a row, so I guess it was nine.

Speaker 5 (01:10:23):
They've kind of been in free fall like ever since
the second half of.

Speaker 6 (01:10:25):
The Sea sucks.

Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
I hate that for them. Penn State it's my UCLA
big favorite. Texas A and M's a favorite of Missouri,
which is to me a bit crazy. But they're playing
in College station. Ohio State and Iowa. Not really a game.
Georgia Auburn not really a game. Ole Miss at South
Carolina could be a game. Alabama at Vanderbilt not a game.
Tennessee at Arkansas not a game.

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
It's only like thirteen. Yeah it's at Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
This is the kind of game we win, just so
you guys know, and we're like, oh my god, we
just got injected with a little more hope. And then
we lose every game after that, including like Northwestern Louisiana's
cousins Maormount.

Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
I hope you win.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
I hope we win too, and I'll be looking at
the TV. I just I can't.

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
But just because I'm angry doesn't mean I don't care, right,
you care because or you're angry, you're you do care.

Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
I can't like we blew to get we'd be and
I'm not. I'm not the guy that wo'd be this
if that, But I'm gonna be.

Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
We blew. It wasn't like unlucky play. We blew two
games that we had handily. We be undefeated. We blew too,
not lost.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Not a ball didn't bounce our way because that happens
a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
We undefeated right now, but we don't deserve to be unefeated.
It makes me. It just pisses me off so bad.
Miami at cow who cares?

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Just let them go?

Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
I what else? What do you do? Just let them
just sit there and sunk in?

Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
It bothered me way too much. Okay, let's run these
real quick. Just give me a winner, real quick. Jets
at Vikings, that's in London. I'll go first, Vikings.

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
J e t s just just Jets.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Oh boy, so are you one of the Jets. I'm
gonna go Jets from my guy. Thank you, man, Eddie.

Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
I mean, let's just be real Vikings.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Oh wow, yeah, school.

Speaker 1 (01:12:13):
But Panthers at Bears Bears a four point favorite. But
who wins the game, I'm gonna go, you know, I
mean I've been I've been riding the Panthers anyway I
think over I didn't whoever is the quarterback, I always
have a trade, Bryce Shong, give the guy shot.

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
We are saying, give Rise a.

Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Change, give him.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
Panthers at Bears. I'm gonna go Panthers.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
I'm gonna say Panthers to Andy Dalton, Xavier get thank
you for fantasy this past week.

Speaker 7 (01:12:37):
He's watching to Yeah. He pointed the camera on Eddie. Oh,
Panthers man, Andy Dalton. All the way the.

Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
Bears are for sure winning. Then we're like, oh god,
you going put the graphic up. Ravens at Bengals. That's
a good one.

Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
It's a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
They're playing in Cincinnati. The Bengals do not have a defense.
Their defense is a wet piece of paper. I'm still
gonna go with the Bengals. Wow, die Hard, Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
I bet him in the Super bowls Now, I'm like, yeah,
I'm not biased.

Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
How to get that?

Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
Yeah, if they were to win this game, that'd be
huge in that division. The Ravens may also be the
best team in the NFL, even though they're just two
and two. If remember the loss of the Chiefs in
a crazy game when the Chiefs had better players and.

Speaker 5 (01:13:16):
They had no business losing that Raiders game either, but
they did, and they did.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. Bengals, are all you
guys going, Ravens, Ravens. You guys are intelligent. That's why.

Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
Yeah, stopping Derrick Henry. Dude, how are they gonna stop
that dude?

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Well, if you asked me, I'd say, hit him.

Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
Low, take his links out. That's a good one they
tried to do.

Speaker 7 (01:13:34):
You see that other guy that he tried to tackling
his shoulders, like.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Oh yeah, I got knocked out. He looks like thin
though in that uniform I guess pads in the purple. Yeah,
like he looks good, looks like he lost some some
color weight.

Speaker 10 (01:13:45):
Did you hear him talking about his diet? He like
doesn't eat till four o'clock in the.

Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Long noon and all that stuff. One meal though, too, right, Yeah,
one meal day. I think you try that no sugar,
all that stuff reach It followed Derick Henry. Die I
was thinking about that Brown dolphinsive Patriots.

Speaker 7 (01:13:59):
Oh God, such a toss up. Can they both lose
zero zero? That's a bet that it ends in zero zero,
and it's like.

Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
The Patriots are minus one. I don't think home field
is now considered three points anymore. I think it's considered
like one and a half to two points, So that
means neutral field Dolphins will be the favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
I'm gonna go Dolphins. It's crazy that they can't play
offense without Tua.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
Yeah, can't. There's nothing there.

Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
I thought to suck everybody they went, and again they
didn't have a brigad start of the season.

Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
But yeah, I'm gonna I still go Dolphins. You should
want Patriots to lose, even though it's your team. I know,
you can't really want them to lose. You should see
the bone the benefit now of when they lose.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
It moves up.

Speaker 10 (01:14:47):
We just lost our center to our best office lineman.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
You have a good one office. Yeah, So I go
Dolphins and the Pats are gonna win this.

Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Nice to get out Dolphins, Let's go Patriots.

Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
Nice? Why not going past?

Speaker 8 (01:15:01):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
Browns and commanders, commanders, you know, I think the commander
is gonna lay an egg think so that time?

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Yeah, a little too hype, a little too.

Speaker 10 (01:15:12):
Hiphe Yeah, reality's got to hit at some point.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
Browns have a decent defense. They're a little too hype.
Just because of that, I think it's time for them
to lose.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
I'm gonna go Browns.

Speaker 5 (01:15:21):
I think it's gonna be a close one, but I
think the Commanders will still win.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
I'm gonna go Browns. By the way, I was just question,
why are we going to read Red doesn't watch football?
I know I love it.

Speaker 4 (01:15:29):
Well, I'm waiting for him to go After his answer,
I think picks.

Speaker 12 (01:15:35):
Which one of us he likes about Cane and then
what is the Commanders? Yeah, Washington, cults of Jaggs.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Let's go Jags. Let's go Jacks.

Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
They need to win one.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
This one read, Yeah, let's go man, here's a good one.

Speaker 10 (01:15:56):
Bills at Texans, Yeah, Davante nothing, I'm sorry, it's the
fun digs back, it's.

Speaker 5 (01:16:03):
The fun revenge games.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
I'm gonna go Bills.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Same.

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
That's hard.

Speaker 7 (01:16:07):
I can't believe in I can't believe in the Texans anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:16:09):
Like I just I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
They ran them last week.

Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
Stroud's getting figured out a little bit. Yeah, Yeah, Collins
is a beast.

Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
He's a bast he's a bad like freaking are thinking
of a game like weeks ago, No, just stroud.

Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
His fancy points have been like, oh yeah, I have them.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Last week I had thirty points. No, he got.

Speaker 4 (01:16:25):
Seventeen or something like nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
Yeah, dude, the quarterbacks are doing good.

Speaker 7 (01:16:30):
Though, that's not true. Daniels is like, I'm thinking about
starting them this week.

Speaker 10 (01:16:34):
Jam Donald's like the best quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
You're right. Over all the quarterbacks are not because nobody's
throwing for high yards.

Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
Dak is pretty decent. He's been consistent.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Yeah, because they're way down and he just chunks.

Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
Correct.

Speaker 10 (01:16:43):
That's really because I have twenty four yeah four okay,
crowd last week?

Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Yeah no he had I have them. Yeah. So yeah,
I know he played well and he can put up thirty.

Speaker 4 (01:16:52):
Yeah, because he's all right, let's go to Texans.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
No, I don't change it. We have four more Cardinals
and forty nine ers Niners.

Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
Yeah, I really want the Cardinals to win because I
have Color Murray. Thanks for Packers at Rams, go pack girls. Yeah,
I think the Pack go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
Put the pack cares. Yeah, it's a game. That's who
cares games whatever. Giants and Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
It's got to be the Hawks.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
Hawks Man.

Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
Cowboys at Steeler Steelers two and a half point favorite.

Two teams are that was a good game.

Speaker 1 (01:17:38):
Two teams that are so yeah? I mean how about
