This is a podcast called twenty five wist talking and
they were a whizz So, yeah, it's too bad, but
what did you expect. It's a podcast called twenty five Whistline.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh blow the whistle there. Okay, so this is coming
out on Friday. We actually recorded this Wednesday afternoon before
we went to Thanksgiving, So anything that said if it
happens on Thanksgiving Day, we didn't know to hold that
against us. I said, let's all get together on Thanksgiving.
Nobody wanted to.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Do it, so I know I was behind you too, man,
Kevin and Casey and Reid didn't want was bring in
the turkey.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
H So anyway, that's what's up. We're happy to get
an episode up because we got some really cool stuff
we're doing here talking about. But we recorded this like
not on Thursday afternoon on Wednesday afternoon, So don't don't
hold it against Do you want to predict the winners
and the Thanksgiving games that happened yesterday? Yes, Bears and Lions,
Lions a ten point favorite. The Lions won, but it
(02:09):
was weird to see Klabi Yams regress and he had
as bad.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I know, man from a couple of good games.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Good.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Yeah, I agree, but the Lions looking strong again. Many
they're unbeatable.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Right, and they played in leather helmets, which I thought
when they came out, I thought it was weird.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
It was the Lions versus the monsters of the Midwest.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Thought it was weird, but they did it and they
want it. Giants and Cowboys. Now, the Cowboys went into
this a four point favorite, Eddie. What was your favorite
part of the game, the Cowboys winning? Dude, I mean
it's just, you know, two wins in a row, like
what happened? Are we gonna make the playoffs now?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Doubtful?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Okay, Now there's fantasies and they're super fantasy. But he
just went into super fantasy.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
But then I went real again. It's very doubtful.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
No, but it really is not. It's a no, it
is a no, it's not a doubtful.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Well no, if they win every game from here on out,
it's definitely possible.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
You're not even a fan. We've already had this, you
already gave up on them. Yeah, right, Packers Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Game, best game of the day.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
That was good. Yeah, it was crazy to see Roger
suit up for the Packers again all of a sudden.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
That was when he came out in the smoke.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Didn't expect it, didn't expect it. But uh yeah, good
Packers victory there.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Did you know that Vince Lombardi lived right in one
of those houses right by the stadium when he coached.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
I did not know that.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
I don't know what. I think it came out like
on Sunday Night football or something they had and after
games he would throw parties at his house, like literally
right across from the parking lot. Legend that'd be pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Anyway, I guess I'm not I'm trying to think how
I'm like processing. I guess I'm not surprised. That's not
one of those factor are like wow, but you're also
like huh about that?
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Well, I just you know, they show the stadium and
then they show the little houses that are right across
the street and people parking the yards and everything, and
I never thought much about it, but now it's like, wow,
head coach, probably some players live there and you just
walk to work every day. Pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, I think that's mildly cool.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah, that's about it.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Games tonight, Chiefs and Raiders. Chiefs should run that one. Yeah,
so we can do college football, which is a little
more entertaining because there are a bunch of rivalry games
that actually could matter. I mean, this is the points
present gigantics like Boise State's gonna kill Oregon State.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
That just happened.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
It's Friday games.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I was like, I the schedules all weird. I was like,
it didn't just happen because I don't know the score, right,
so we have to guess that one. Yeah, Alabama Auburn ship.
It doesn't matter anymore, does it. It doesn't matter USC
Notre Dame is interesting. When does that game happen?
Speaker 5 (04:37):
That's Saturday.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Okay, I'm done. Rivals, We're not doing that. I'm not
guessing what day's games are guess all of Yeah. No,
I just expect there to be a bit of mayhem
that happens. So anyway, we got a good show here.
We're gonna let's go to our interview. First to Greg
Rosenthal because this will make the most sense. So he's awesome.
He's been working with the NFL since twenty twelve. He's
had numerous shows, including the one he hosts now called
(05:00):
NFL Daily Podcast. It's a great NFL podcast. You can
download a where we listen to podcasts. If you listen
to us and you're like, I get all my NFL
information from twenty five whistles, don't.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Go check out Greg ros We don't recommend that.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yes, you can follow him on Twitter at Greg Rosenthal.
Here he is Greg Rosenthal.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Okay, Greg?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
First off, squon is he the MVP right now?
Speaker 6 (05:20):
No, I wouldn't.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
I wouldn't mind if someone voted for him, but we
got what six seven weeks left of the season. I
would still go Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen, but he
would be in my top three. You got to do
a top five now he would be number three on
my list.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
So you would go right now, say it again, Josh Allen. Two.
Lamar Jackson won Saquon at three with a few games left.
Speaker 7 (05:39):
Is that what I heard, yeah, and it's more than
a few games left. I've remembered so many of these
MVP races. There was that year where Tom Brady was
unanimous with three weeks left of the season. Everyone was like, hmm,
is Michael Vick the MVP now? After one good game?
And it tends to really start at Thanksgiving, I think
when people really nail it down, if Saquon keeps us up,
he is right in the mix. But I would probably
take a quarterback playing at a super high level, which
(06:02):
I think Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have done over
Saquon Barkley. If it was last year where we were
kind of searching for an MVP, I think Saquon would
be in a better shot.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
No, I think he nailed the two because one of
our friends is like, bet a thousand bucks on Dak
do the MVP, and I did, and then Dak wasn't
the MVP and he flamed out last year and I'm
still angry, angry at that thousand bucks. I've bet on
that one. So yeah, I felt that talk about the
Eagles because every sense he shaved his head, they've won
eight in a row. Are the Eagles for real?
Speaker 7 (06:26):
They are, and I was worried because I don't know
if you noticed this, but he kind of took it
back again before the Sunday night game against the Rams.
He got it trimmed up, and I just thought, don't
don't mess with what's working that you had that hospital
look that he went with, but it still worked. He
always does something goofy, like the way they ended that
first half, and yet they're just so talented on both fronts.
(06:48):
I always that's what I look for at the beginning
of the season. Who's good on the offensive line in
the defensive line, and you can kind of find maybe
who are going to be the surprising teams. I think
Denver is one reason they've been so good this year
is because of that. And right now Philadelphia I think
is number one. If you just combine offensive line defensive line,
they're the best in the league.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
You bring up Denver, I'm a big bow Knicks guy.
Early on, even when he sucked, I was like, man,
he sucks, but he sucks hard, meaning like he went
for it constantly. When he was terrible, he was terrible,
but I love that about him. And now bo Nix
has come on, where Jayden Daniels probably ribs still a
little banged up. They haven't won. Is Jaden Daniels still
the rookie of the Year right now in your mind?
Speaker 7 (07:27):
Yes, And I actually don't think it's that close. BONNICKX
has played awesome, He's in a great spot, his coaches
getting open receivers for him.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
And if he keeps this up.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
And Jayden Daniels keeps playing worse, then yes, by the
end of the season. But at this point we've only
played eleven or twelve weeks. In the first six weeks
of the season, I think Jayden Daniels could have been
the MVP.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
So to me, that weighs heavy enough.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
That bo Knicks, who started slow, hasn't caught up to
him yet. But if it continues like this, I'm not
giving Jaden Daniels that rib excuse because I just think
we struggled in the media at the talk about that
after the rib injury, he played two really good games
and then yesterday people probably would have blamed it on
the rib, But then he made a lot of great
plays in the fourth quarter, So like, was the rib
(08:09):
not hurting then?
Speaker 6 (08:10):
I don't really know.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
All we can evaluate is what we see and he
hasn't been playing as well lately, but I think that
lead he built up in the beginning of the season
is still enough for him to be the.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
You know a lot more than me. You're very much
an insider. However, I've had the theory all year that
the commander sometimes will just look in the mirror and
they reminded that the commanders, so eventually they would suck again. Thoughts.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
I hate to think that's true.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
Maybe it's just the other teams are looking at the
plays that they run and say, oh, this is Cliff
Kingsbury's offense. It's the exact same as as Week two,
as Week three. Even you saw in that Cowboys game
they weren't adjusting to this blitz that Michael Parsons was
running over and over in this game.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
And that's coaching.
Speaker 7 (08:49):
So I think that might be more of the problem
of what they see in the mirror as Cliff Kingsbury, and.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
We've seen over I don't know, the last ten years,
regardless of where Cliff is, it always seems like the
second half for the season, Cliff falls off a cliff, like,
what is even happening there? What are they finding figuring
out scheming about Cliff that he can't figure out.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
I think it's about adjustments.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
Compared to other NFL offenses, they're certainly static, like they
don't get Terry mcclurein open They do a few things,
and they do them really well, and they tend to
be really well coached that coming into the season, But
once other teams figure out what they're doing, they don't
seem to have a plan B.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
And I think that's what's happened.
Speaker 7 (09:29):
If you watch that game against Dallas, who was not
playing great defense going into that game, there were not
many open receivers.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
And that's what I've seen with Jaden Daniels.
Speaker 7 (09:36):
He's a guy who needs to see it to throw
it sometimes, and he had open receivers early in the
season and he just not has not seen him lately.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
We've talked about Jadon Daniels a bunch. I want to
bring up one more thing ausse early in the year,
it was, well, they're running very much a college offense
for Jadon Daniels to they're integrating that integrate in the
NFL style into his game a bit. Is it possible
that they have decided to go more NFL complex and
he's struggling with that.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
No, I don't think so. If anything, it's more that
they need to do that. I think what they did
early in the season was rely a lot on the
screen game and the short passes and these manufactured throws,
and I don't even know if that's college or how
the NFL is now. Miami runs a lot of plays
like that too, but you need to be able to
hit the intermedia and the deeper throws more often. There's
(10:24):
not a lot of real drop back passing game and
that hasn't been developed. I want to see more of that,
if anything, because I think Jane Daniels can handle it.
He's an older starter, like Bo Nicks for a rookie,
but right now he's not seen a lot of open receivers.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
When you talk about older starters, that's kind of funny.
I was reading the Anthony Richardson thing, where Anthony Richardson
is like twelve, and everybody else, even some of the
college guys are like older than Anthony Richardson is now.
And do you know, he's played a little better with
the Colts after he got benched. What are your feelings
on Anthony Richards' long term success.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
I think he's gonna be okay.
Speaker 7 (10:53):
He's gonna be boom or bust in a best case scenario.
He's a Cam Newton type. Can he get there consit
instantly enough? As a passer, he just loves to throw
the ball downfield. I think he will. I think he's
going to be a fun long term quarterback. I would
take Drake May over him, though, I would take Jay
and Daniels over him. I just feel like they have
a stronger base to work fro him.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
You didn't say Caleb Williams I would throw.
Speaker 7 (11:15):
I would definitely take KYLEB. Williams over him, too, who
has looked incredible the last two weeks. I feel like
that's sort of gotten lost in the shuffle. I thought
it was his best game as a pro last two
weeks ago, and then it was even better on Sunday.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
It's almost perfect for Bears fans.
Speaker 7 (11:26):
I think, if you're a Bears fan, you want Caleb
Williams to look like this so you feel better about
your pick. But you also want to get Matt Eberflus fired.
So I feel like these two games have been perfect.
Speaker 6 (11:35):
If you're a Bears.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Fan, did you feel too that at times when Kayleb
Williams was really playing well the last couple of weeks,
he was getting rid of the ball quickly. In the
times he would get in trouble, it seemed to me
like when he was trying to create again these Caleb
Williams type plays and that would result in a big
sack he shouldn't take. Is that still a bit of
the struggle in what he's doing day to day.
Speaker 7 (11:57):
Yeah, you saw it in the overtime sack that he took,
which was a bit of a disaster. Then again, he
had that throw to Swift where he evades the rushers
and makes just a ridiculous Patrick Mahomes type of throw
for a forty yard played down in the side.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
But I think you're right.
Speaker 7 (12:11):
Overall in that game, the best throws that he had
were in rhythm, getting the ball out quickly. I thought
it was the throw he made with twenty seconds left
after they recovered the on site kick to get them
into field goal range. From the original view, it looked
like a good throw, but when you see the all
twenty two how he had to layer it over the
top of the linebackers but in front of the safeties,
but with some real pop on his throw, like that
(12:33):
is a number one overall pick type of throw.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Let's talk about New York. I don't know who would
you rather be, the Jets of the Giants.
Speaker 7 (12:41):
I'd rather be the Giants just because it's tough. I
lived in New York for ten years. They were bad
for most of that, although you had the Eli pop
up and they've been as bad as the Jets. But
I do feel like it's a more stable building. Ultimately,
you read some of the reports that have come out
about the Jets, and that just seems like it's doomed
to keep failing over and over and over again.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
What do they do at quarterback? Both and so I
can ask individually. So let's go with the Jets first.
What are they gonna do?
Speaker 7 (13:12):
I think they cut Aaron Rodgers if they can't find
a trade partner for him. It's clear that ownership is
not on board with Rogers and the coaching staff is
going to be totally different.
Speaker 6 (13:23):
So he could probably get a job next year.
Speaker 7 (13:25):
But you're gonna draft someone and you're gonna find some
second tier quarterback to kind of hold it down.
Speaker 6 (13:32):
In the meantime. The Giants are all in on this. Draft.
I mean, they don't have anyone on their roster.
Speaker 7 (13:36):
I think that's going to be a quarterback for them
a year from now unless Tommy DeVito is number two
or number three, and they're checking that out right now.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
And it did not look good on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Is it time to give up on the forty nine
ers for this season?
Speaker 6 (13:48):
I think so.
Speaker 7 (13:50):
I think that was one of the biggest takeaways from Sunday.
First of all, we got to see what's up with
brock Perty shoulder. When you get a second MRI, it's
late in the week. They thought he might play early
in the week, then he didn't. That says to me
that it could be a longer term issue. They have
the Bills this week. If they lose that, they're five
and seven. I know it's not a good division, but
they're just missing a lot, not just in terms of injuries,
but I think they were going to struggle to make
(14:11):
the playoffs, be right about on the borderline, even if
they were healthy. And if Perdy misses one or two games,
you're not going to win any games without brock Perty
with the schedule.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
That they have.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
When Terrell Owens was talking about Deebo and he was like,
Deebo's too distracted by off the field issues. When Terrell
Owens is saying that, is that is that significant or
is just to just talking?
Speaker 6 (14:30):
He probably knows something.
Speaker 7 (14:31):
I know, I don't know what he's talking about when
he speaks about that. I'm not glad that Teo said that,
but I have noticed Deebo Samuel is not a difference
maker that he used to be. He's just not as
explosive as a runner. You can just look at his
rushing stats. It's a great indicator because they used to
use him in the running game and he would be
a nice change of pace. Now he's one of the
(14:52):
least effective runners in the league, and I think that
speaks to him not making a ton of plays on
his own. Still a good player, but not a premier player.
I think he's going to get traded in the offseason.
He will absolutely have a market. What that is, whether
that's a second round pick something like that, we'll see.
But I do not expect him to be on the
forty nine ers next year.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
The Lions the clear cut team number one in the
NFL in your mind.
Speaker 7 (15:13):
I would say the Eagles and the Bills, and certainly
the Chiefs, you got to throw in there in the mix.
But when I watch Detroit every week, it's crazy. They
can just beat you so many different ways. On Sunday,
they beat you by running on third and log I
mean they hit three different third and long runs for
first downs on drives that quickly turned into touchdowns. Just
no other team has that pitch, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
We stopped talking about Aiden Hutchesson because they keep winning,
right so, you know, for a while, it was what
are they going to do? Are they going to go
after Max Crosby? All these dream scenarios right that people
just we just like to talk about it because it's fun.
But I feel like their offense is so effective that
possibly they can take the hit on not having that
on defense and still feel like they can win games.
Speaker 7 (15:57):
Yeah, I think they can win the Super Bowl without
Aiden Hutchinson. They are hopeful maybe he'd come back for
the super Bowl if they got that far. I do
think when they play the best of the best teams
in the in the offensive lines that they have, I'm
thinking about Philadelphia, I'm thinking about Buffalo, and certainly if
the Chiefs make the Super Bowl, that's going to be
difficult because I don't think their pass rush has been
(16:18):
great this year. But the difference, Bobby is that I
think their defense has improved dramatically from last year to
this year despite losing Hutchinson. Just the rest of the
group is so much better, especially in the secondary. They're
one of the best defensive backfields in the league and
they were one of the worst a year ago. So
can they still be a top ten to twelve defense?
I would say yes, And if you have the best
(16:39):
offense in the league, you can win the Super Bowl
that way. But it would really help to have Hutchinson back,
especially for that Philadelphia matchup. You're not going to get
any pressure on Jalen Hurts without him.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
How would you describe the regression of the Texans really disappointing?
Speaker 7 (16:53):
I actually think their offense has been consistent this year,
like consistently bad.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
I've just been waiting and waiting.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
My son became a Texans and for some reason, I
live in Los Angeles, but he just likes CJ. Stroud
so much. He jumped on board and he's dying each
and every week. And I've said from the beginning, I
just said eventually they might turn around, But they just
don't look like a good offense. You look at their
efficiency metrics, they're twenty fifth, twenty six, They're down there
with some of the worst teams in the league. They
have a good defense overall, but at a certain point,
(17:20):
you kind of are the team that you show yourself
to be. It's offensive line, it's really bad run blocking.
You have talented players in Nico Collins and Mixing, but CJ. Stroud,
I'm as shocked about him regressing and losing confidence and
being in his own head as I am about literally
anything that's happened in the NFL. I'm stunned because I
would have said, about six weeks ago, if you can
(17:43):
give me a.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
Quarterback to start my team with. CJ.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
Stroud is very close to the top of the list,
and right now he's just going through some growing pains.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
If we're flipping that over to quarterbacks who are gaining confidence,
would you say that you have liked what you've seen
from Bryce Young over the past couple of weeks since
he's back.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Had a conversation NFL Daily one of our reporters with
Vance Joseph after that Broncos Panthers game, and I watched
that one, I thought, wow, Bryce Sung is being more aggressive.
That was his first game after Dalton got hurt in
the car accident, and he just looked like a different player.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
Maybe he had nothing to lose.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
Maybe he just was more confident in what he was
seeing and the numbers weren't quite there, and then each
week he stacked up to the point where now if
he continues playing like this, and he played really well
on sundaygainst Chiefs, there's no question they will go into
next year with him as their quarterback, which I just
didn't expect. And he's starting to look like a valuable
NFL quarterback now. Whether the ceiling for him is Alex
(18:39):
Smith or it's something higher, we need to find out.
But it's a really good development story for them considering
where he was at early this season.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
If you were a starting quarterback, would you rather play
for the Panthers or the Jets.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
The Panthers, yeah, because they.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Right.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
I mean, they have a young, energetic coach, they have a.
Speaker 7 (18:58):
Pretty good offensive line in a decent running game, and
the Jets like no matter what happens. I have so
many friends that are Jets fans, and I used to
live in New York, and no matter what happens, like the.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
Rot just start taking over. It's been fourteen years.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
Bobby, the whole and a point of the NFL, my employer,
is to even out the playing field so everyone gets
to go to the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (19:18):
It's been fourteen years.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Yeah, I feel that we have a Jets guy here
on our show too, Bill Belichick. Does he coach next year?
Speaker 3 (19:25):
If so?
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Where?
Speaker 7 (19:27):
Yeah, I don't have a great prediction. Jacksonville has been
talked about. That makes sense to me about as much
as anyone. I actually think Tampa Bay would be a
really logical place if Todd Bowles didn't get them to
the playoffs. The problem is, I think that's an underrated
team that has a really good offense, good offensive coordinator,
(19:48):
and has a chance to go on a run here
with a very easy schedule. So I actually think they're
gonna end up with a winning record and probably get
to the playoffs. That one would make a lot of
sense based on the history and Jason light being the GM.
Speaker 6 (19:59):
Who used to work with with Belichick back in the day.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
What about the Dolphins they're playing now too, Can they
make a late season push?
Speaker 6 (20:06):
I think they can. They are.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
He is playing at a really high level right now
and doing it in the way that people used to
accuse him of doing just a lot of short stuff.
It's really nothing down the field, but extremely effective, accurate.
McDaniel said, he went to a next level this Thursday night.
You know, Thanksgiving game is huge for them. They play
the Packers in Green Bay. It's all the demons that
they've had. They don't close the season, well, it's the
(20:30):
cold weather. If they can win that game, and they've
won three straight, looking very impressive doing so, the rest
of their schedule is easy. I think they'll be favored
in every game the rest of the season. Their only
game that's challenging is the Texans, and that Texans teams
taking on a lot of water, and other than that,
it's a lot of Jets and Patriots and yeah, this
team could win a lot of games your Broncos if
you're into Bow next. I don't know if they'll lose
(20:51):
enough though, that's the problem, Like you might need eleven
wins to get into the AFC playoffs, which is is
a big ass for that Miami team.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Do you think with two al and the Dolphins losing
so much and again two has been scrutinized since before
Mike McDaniels even got there. Then he was a system quarterback.
But then TWOA was out and they couldn't win. It
didn't matter if snoop, it didn't matter who was in.
But now the two is back again. If anybody could
run the system, well, anybody would have run the system
and they were not able to. Now that two is back.
(21:19):
Do you think that a bit some of the naysayers
have to realize they possibly could have been wrong.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
Yes, I think Tua has grown each every year. This
is what young quarterbacks do. He is a much different
player than he was two years ago. Certainly three years ago.
He's the best version and he's been in this offense now.
I think it was terrible coaching, terrible front office work.
You can't collapse to the worst offense in the league
when you go to your backup, especially when your backup
(21:46):
had been in the building for three years. So that's
on Mike McDaniel and Chris career if they don't make
the playoffs. But it does show how valuable too it is.
Maybe it wouldn't be that valuable for every team, but
for that team, it's the difference between an eleven win team,
I think this year twelve win team and one of
the worst offenses in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Three teams we're gonna talk about we're gonna do Chiefs,
We're gonna do Vikings, And I got a guy here
that once ask Cowboys, and we'll do Chiefs. First ten
and one? Do you DeAndre Hopkins? You know we're in Nashville,
and you know DeAndre Hopkins here not much of a
threat because no one could get him the ball. What
is his ceiling? I mean, could he be the guy
(22:24):
that actually makes that offense happen? Because that offense really
wasn't happening, Not that it is now so much either,
and they're really relying on their defense. But could he
be a key factor into them actually winning three in
a row?
Speaker 7 (22:38):
Yes, because they just needed competent players that are quality starters.
Now he doesn't help their biggest issue, which is that
they are slow, and they were one of the slowest
teams in the NFL. When it's him and Juju Smith,
Schuster and Justin Watson on the field, and the and
the tight ends like Noah Gray, their second tight end
is their most explosive, explosive players. To me, that is
(23:00):
an issue, but you know he's gonna do it. He's
gonna make some red zone plays, He's gonna have some
key third down conversions. And the numbers may not be crazy.
They have n't been crazy. He's having a lot of
games like five for sixty, but I can just see
him in big moments giving Patrick Mahomes a guy that
he trusts in the red zone. I don't know if
it's a difference between him being a great offense and
(23:21):
a bad one. But I don't know if they need
to be great if their defense is playing well.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
What about Worthy in Kansas City. I mean, he's explosive,
but it's the only running one way. I mean, it's
just go.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
It seems to be a mental thing. I at least
was wrong about how he's going to be as a rookie.
I thought he did more in college than people gave
him credit for. But mentally, you can tell they don't
trust him. And he makes a big mental error almost
every week. So he's only playing twenty five snaps and
they try to manufacture things, but it's not really working
(23:51):
for him. It might be till year two that he
makes a bigger impact.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Two Vikings questions, what's the ceiling for the Viking? Nine
to two? Now? How good can be?
Speaker 7 (24:01):
I know Vikings fans are so annoyed with everyone just oh,
that's nice, you're nine and two. I mean, it is
pretty impressive that they beat all the teams that they
have to, and they have a coaching staff that in
any one game season in which the playoffs are, they
can beat you with their game plans on both sides
of the ball. It's a really good offense and Sam
Donald has played well the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 6 (24:21):
So they're dangerous. But are they dangerous enough to win
three road games?
Speaker 1 (24:25):
No?
Speaker 7 (24:25):
Do I think they're gonna win the division over the lines? No,
so they it's they're at a tough spot. If they
were in any other division other than the AFC West
with the Chiefs, they'd be winning it. But ultimately they're
gonna be the five or the six seed and that's
going to be a tough road.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
So then next season J. J. McCarthy comes back, although
he wasn't actually ever there excepting like body, because he
didn't play. Sam Donald has really shined. Like what happens
in the quarterback room there, let's.
Speaker 7 (24:53):
Say it just continues as is. I think Sam Donald
gets a nice contract. It'd be hilarious, by the way,
if it was the Jet or the Giants for that matter.
I think he gets a nice contract. A Geno Smith
or Baker Mayfield type of bridge quarterback. You're not one
of the top quarterbacks in the league, but you're somewhere
in between. And we might draft a kid in the
(25:14):
second round elsewhere because Minnesota's not going to pay that money.
Speaker 6 (25:17):
They're going to be all in on JJ McCarthy. From
everything I hear, all.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Right, we're gonna go to our Cowboys guy, and I'm
sure he's gonna have a couple. Just brace yourself. He
is a diehard Cowboys fan. He is a delusional eddie.
Whenever you ready, what's up?
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Greg? You know? Yeah, like you said, I do love
my Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys for life. Right, But is it
time to hand off the America's team titled to someone else? Now?
Speaker 7 (25:41):
Yes, I mean it's been beyond time. What a marketing
employee that was. I don't I think NFL films actually
called them that way back.
Speaker 6 (25:48):
In the day.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
They do.
Speaker 7 (25:49):
They do get the numbers though, that's the problem. Like
people don't want to hear about it. It's the reason
why First Take talks about him so much, or they're
on network so much.
Speaker 6 (25:59):
And it's true, people really do watch them.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
I did see something that I didn't listen to it yet,
but I was looking at my podcast feed this morning.
I saw Bill Simmons. It was like, is Dallas back?
It's like, no, they're definitely not back. Now they might
beat the Giants. I thought that's what you were going
to ask me, Are they back? Defense is playing a
little better though. I'll give them credit to get have
a nice win on.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Side, But I will ask you though about the coaching situation,
like McCarthy's done right and then what do we what
do we do now?
Speaker 7 (26:24):
Yeah, it's not going to be Belichick. There's no way
that Jerry Jones, I think would want to give up
that much power.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
And I don't think Belichick would want to be anywhere
where he didn't have the power.
Speaker 7 (26:34):
So if they're smart, they'll pay top dollar for the
best candidate out there, who I think is Ben Johnson
with the Detroit Lions. I mean it like, show us
Jerry you got you got Jerry World. You're collecting all
that money for those tours that are coming around, like
spend it because Ben Johnson, I think is going to
make more money for a first time head coach than
(26:56):
anyone we've ever seen because the bidding war for him.
I think since an if they don't make the playoffs,
they're not going to get into a bidding war.
Speaker 6 (27:02):
But that would be an interesting spot.
Speaker 7 (27:03):
If I'm Ben Johnson, I want a really good quarterback,
and I think he could be intrigued about coaching Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Who are the Cowboys draft. Let's say they have a
top seven or eight pick. Who are they drafting?
Speaker 6 (27:14):
Oh Man?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Is it best available for them?
Speaker 6 (27:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (27:18):
There's actually not a lot of positions that they couldn't
use help. And if they hadn't given back that contract,
you'd even think quarterback would be possible. But this isn't
the draft for it. There's some good tackles in this draft.
There's certainly good defensive players. I don't know if there's
a wide receiver that you would take that high. So
it's almost best available. I mean, what position on that
roster couldn't use some help. It's not a deep roster.
(27:43):
It's a very top heavy roster with seven or eight
really good players, but offensive line especially this year, has
been quite disappointing.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
You guys, check out Greg's podcast. It's great. I listened
NFL Daily Podcast wherever you listen and on YouTube check
it out on YouTube. You did a whole thing where
the Seahawks, and like the Seahawks have kind of saved
their season, but what's the ceiling on the Seahawks.
Speaker 7 (28:07):
I think winning a playoff game, winning this division at
this point, I would be surprised if the division winner
is not the Seahawks or the Cardinals.
Speaker 6 (28:15):
And I think that Commander's loss on.
Speaker 7 (28:17):
Sunday pointed out that that last wild card spot that
we kind of were just penciling in for Washington, that
that division gets two teams in. It could be the
Bucks or the Falcons, or it could be second place
in the NFC West. So this defense has really turned around.
I think they have enough talent. Mike McDonald has them
playing well and he can scheme it up.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
I mean he sent some crazy blitzes out there.
Speaker 7 (28:39):
You have a quarterback that I really trust in Geno Smith,
in the talent around him. It's not a good offensive line,
so they're not a complete team, but I think they
can get the three seed, or maybe if the Cardinals
win that division, get the seventh seed and be a
tough out. To me, the NFC is very much Philadelphia,
Detroit and everyone else. The other teams are fun, but
I don't really see them going to the super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (29:00):
Think it's going to be Detroit Philly.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Check out. We'll put all Greg's information, including you can
go watch this podcast down on our notes. We mentioned
it before. You came on as well, and follow him
on Twitter at Greg Rosental. Greg, you're the best. We
really appreciate the time. Hope you have a good rest
of the week.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
Appreciate it, Bobby anytime.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
All right, let's build to parlay here. Last week we
went over four. I thought it'd be fun if we
could pick all losers instead of all winners, but it'd
be the same thing. We just wouldn't do it. Yeah,
so let's just pick three, and I don't care if
it gets up on the app because it's just humiliating
when we lose over again. So, Edie, do you already
have a game or do you mean to pick all three?
Speaker 3 (29:36):
No? I mean I have the Notre Dame. I do
believe Notre Dame will win that game.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
It's just like, right now, the spread is at only
six and a half.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Yeah, six and a half, and I think that's good.
But I think that's gonna move at some point, So
get on it asap.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
But they can't a sap because this is a day later.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
You can as soon as you hear this, get on it.
Notre Dame six.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I'm just gonna hit one without you, guys, because I'm ready.
Tennessee minus eleven at vander Built. We like Vanderbilt, but
Tennessee's playing not to get in the SEC Championship game.
They're just playing to get in the College Football Plaoff,
which is kind of the best place to be. They
win this game the rent. So it's not even moneyline.
Bet Tennessee minus eleven. Boom book it. I'm also going
South Carolina money line. Now, South Carolina's getting plus two
(30:17):
and a half. A screw at South Carolina plus two
and a half. We'll take the points, make it even
Why make it even harder myself? I would to pick
South Carolina win up. Why make it even harder on myself?
So we're going South Carolina plus two and a half.
Take that one and go. I really want to I
really want the Texas Texas A and M game. Like
I'm but I can't let my bias. I feel my
(30:38):
bias cloud again. Well, I want A and M to win.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, I'm going.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
A and M plus five and a half.
Speaker 6 (30:47):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
I'm letting the bias cloud. They're playing in at Kyle Field.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
Huge rivalry. They happen in a lot of a lot
of your team.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
We're not like one hundred. Since he was living outside
of Sam of Green Bay.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
I think they said Justin Tucker was kicking when the
last time they played.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Yeah, I remember that. I think he made the kick
to win the game.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Did Yeah?
Speaker 1 (31:05):
I think we run Austin.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Gosh, that's crazy. Oh that's right, because I saw him
in the parade.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
I'm taking Texas A and M plus five and a half.
There you go. I can't rely on you guys anymore.
Also can't rely on me because I've missed every week too. Right.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Hey, it's all on you now.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Okay, so here's the thing again. We did this before Thanksgiving,
so if any of our quarterbacks we are not starting anymore,
which I think mostly we're there forgive us. But we
did the worst quarterback draft, meaning if we had to
draft the best quarterbacks, we'd go Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson.
But instead we drafted the worst and try to make
the worst quarterback team. So here is this means segment.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yeah, I felt bad after we did that segment. Oh
you did yeah, just a little bit. I liked it.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
They're millionaires. I don't care. We're gonna do a reverse draft,
meaning you're gonna draft the absolute worst starting quarterback. Oh,
so the first round pick will be the of every
starting quarterback with everybody every team listed who you would
want the least. Okay, we'll do four rounds and then
(32:45):
we'll put a graphic up on Instagram Bobby Bone Sports
and see who people think has the worst team, and
we'll do snake. So somebody can volunteer to go first,
or I can go first, and we're gonna do snake.
It's gonna even itself out.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
He's interesting. I'll go first, go ahead. Uh, for the
first pick of the worst quarterback, were starting quarterback, worst
starting quarterback team, Go ahead. I'm going to go with
Will Levisnes.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
It's terrible, good, bad pick.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Thank you, thank you?
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, okay, okay, So I'll be
second here. Oh, it's tough. For the second overall pick
the commissioners out there, I'm gonna go Tommy de Vito.
Probably he probably shouldn't even be starting. He should be
(33:40):
the backup, because I felt like he was the third
string quarterback. But I'm taking Tommy DeVito as the second
overall worst quarterback. Kevin dang.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
I was gonna trade up and try to get Tommy from.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Because true Locke, I think is a better quarterback than
to Vito. It's a better story though, And I don't
think they want to win. I think they want the
bad draft pick.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
Yeah, go ahead, Okay, now for the sake of this,
So we're gonna go with Trevor Lawrence or Mac Jones.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Trevor Lawrence is the start, Okay, okay, because unless he's
out the whole year.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
Yeah, that's fair. Okay, then, sorry, Eddie, I gotta do
it going with your boy Cooper Rush.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
It's a smart pick. That's a smart pick.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
I don't even think a he hates that one. I
don't not your real quarterback.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
He's our backup, so no, no offense.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
But would i'd rather have Cooper Rush or Will Levis?
I think under the Cooper Rush probably, but Cooper Rush
is older. I don't know that's a good pick. Okay,
So snake drop, now you go backward, Okay, Kevin, let's
do it four rounds here. Yeah, So who is your
next bad quarterback pick?
Speaker 5 (34:43):
Well, we all love him, love his hair, love his style,
love his stash. But I'm sorry, I gotta do it
to Gardner Minshew.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Good pick.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
I mean he's usually a backup, that's who I had taken. Yeah,
good season with the Colts, but also probably a product
of his environment, like right or suck. Yeah, this is
an organization they suck, So it's not like you're gonna
have great quarterback play out of a tweener anyway. Or
if he went to a good organization, like if he
was playing with Kansas City, he'd probably be a pretty
good quarterback like he was with the Colts when he
(35:11):
was a pretty good quarterback. Yeah, good pick though, Okay,
I'm gonna go Jamis. I like him big one over
the Steelers. I do. I like him a lot, but
I think of the remaining quarterbacks on the list, there's
there's a reason he's a backup. Yeah, I'm gonna go
(35:32):
Jameis Winston Cleveland Browns for my second round pick.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
Yeah, we're getting We're getting to the point here where
you're gonna fend someone. I know this is tough, but
for my second pick, I think I'm gonna go with
Bryce Young. You're not gonna like it bones, but I
think I'm gonna take Bryce Young.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Hate that for you. He's gonna be a star.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
No, I know, but right as of now, I have
to putzation. I hear you.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Oh that hurts me. Got a lot of rookie cards.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
I no.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Okay, two rounds in Eddie Snake drafts, so you'll go
first this round, so you have the next pick.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
Dang, it's getting tough.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
This is getting really tough.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Because overall we're each taking four quarterbacks, so that's twelve.
I mean, it's basically a third of the league. We
have to pick a third of the league in this.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I think he's going to be okay, he's showing improvement,
but all the hype coming in with Caleb Williams, I
think that I need to pick him because as of.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Now, Oh my god, the number one pick.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Wow, I take Caleb Williams.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (36:35):
Look at the laws on that.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Dude.
Speaker 6 (36:37):
I'll talk about you.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Wow. Not that hard guy.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
I don't hate hate it. I just kind of hate
it because there's a lot of potential there and I
think people hold that against you.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
I agree, But dude, it's a rough spot right now
because you're dealing with quarterbacks that are okay, but you
got to pick the worst of the okays.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yeah, that's why my next pick is going to be
rough Wilson. Wow, he's not good. He's fine. It was snowy, dude, fine, snowy,
but just generally he's fine.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah. Right, and he's getting older.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Yeah, and with what I have to deal with here,
that's good. I think I take Russell Wilson as the
next worst quarterback.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
Okay, all right, yeah, third round pick, Kevin Higgins getting
slim here.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
I had to pick a Super Bowl champion on him.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
He was just gonna say, I know, but I feel
like anyway, go ahead, Okay, I'm gonna go. Anthony Richardson
got bench brought back. There's a reason for it.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Trevor Lawrence stayed alive.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
He's still alive. Wow, we have them around.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Yeah. Oh, we have another round, four round, so it's
even for everybody. Dang, Okay, okay, who.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Anthony Rison may be a little too early for that one,
but but who would okay.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Naked snaked?
Speaker 5 (37:54):
All right, now we're going again.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
One more round to go. Okay, are you taking pride
that nobody's picked? Drake may heck yeah, being a nobody
even touched the AFC East in general. Well not yet, yeah,
not yet? Oh no, not yet. Oh you're going with
Drake huh hey.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it.
Speaker 8 (38:11):
To okay, talk, Let's go with the guy that's gotten
a lot of whack throughout his career, a lot up
and down, Derek Carr.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
Oh yeah, that's a good pick. Solid pick, solid, terrible pick.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
This is so mean.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
It is they make millions of dollars and it's like
they're not even real. It's like their cartoon characters. They're
not even real people.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
They're not listening, and also like we're not one.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Hundredth of the athlete they are, and we're like they suck. Right, Okay,
my last pick, my fourth round pick for the worst quarterbacks?
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Are you between two?
Speaker 1 (38:54):
I don't even want to talk about who in between
becuse I don't want to give it to you.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
Well, I have my two that that I already have
queued up.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
I have two and a half queued up. Are your
two one in the AFC South yeah, and one of
the FC East?
Speaker 3 (39:11):
Yeah? Oh we might we might have the same too.
So whatever you take, whatever you don't take, I can
take it.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
I don't know that we're on the same page here,
but I'm going Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, yeah, we're on the
same Okay, I'm going after Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
Yea, it is crazy. He sucks.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
They suck.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Do you have two Super Bowl champs?
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Yeah, but they're also old, right, so who oh, I'm
left with Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
Yeah, I'd get him out of here. I mean, I mean,
welcome to my team, Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
You were last picked a being not the worst. So
then let's look at who made Who made it? Josh Allen,
Tua and Drake may made it. Questions lamar Borough, Stroud, Mahomes,
Justin Herbert bo Nicks made it as a rookie, Jalen Hurts,
Jade and Daniels, Jared Golf, Sam darn Old made it.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Yeah, look at that you turn it around.
Speaker 5 (40:02):
Redemption Air Rodgers didn't and Sam Darnold did.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Jordan Love Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, that's redemption. He had
to go to your last year. But I'm saying he's
fought back the garbage. Can Murray Stafford, Gino Smith and
Broock Purty.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Kyler Murray too. Kyler Murray, Like I think a lot
of people wrote him off.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Oh yeah with the Cardinals. Yeah, I just can't see
him when he wrote him off. I just I couldn't
see everybody. I could see his.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Head when he runs. It's so funny to see.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
It's like maybe the Colors have something to do with that.
I don't know. Maybe it's their uniforms make him look smaller. Somehow,
I think it's just him.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Do you remember rb I baseball? Yes, like you remember
when you're the guy gets out, like whenever he gets
till he runs back to the dugout. That's what he
looks like to me.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Again, we're not near the end. No, no, no, no,
we're better than them and anyway, because you're fast, dude, Yeah,
it is. He's so little. Yeah, in real life, what
do you think he is?
Speaker 6 (41:03):
Five?
Speaker 1 (41:04):
Five ten, five eleven? Oh? I think I think he
can't be five nine. No, chances five nine. He's gotta
be taller than that.
Speaker 5 (41:10):
You sure five ten?
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Max?
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Really? Max? I never met him, like we met Bryce Young,
and I would say Bryce Young is five eleven to
six foot.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
I would say that I think he was my height
and I'm your five eleven six foot.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
You're not six foot? Okay? Then okay, fair, you're gonna
make a deal here, Yes you can be six foot.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
You're not giving that to me. The doctor gave that
to me.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
Just listen to ideal. This is what i'd like to
suggest here the question I'm going to ask you, and
I would like your honest answer. Am I taller than you?
Speaker 3 (41:40):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (41:41):
If you're six foot, you're six to one? Okay, and
my driver's license sys six to one? Am I legitimately
six to one? No, I'm probably like six foot and
a half.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
There we go. Yeah, but so we're both right because
you are taller than me.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
Can you I'm gonna give you six foot if you
give me six one? And I'm saying, unilaterally, why can't
you do six and a half, because it's stupid to say, yeah,
and my driver's license. If you're gonna use doctor, I
can use driver's license. But this is this is the
pact we have to make right here and right now.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
No, but the doctor's off. Wait, the doctors is legit.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
So it's this driver's license.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
No, you tell them what to put on that they
don't measure you.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
My doctors to measure me to measure my height in years.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
Wait, yes, when's the last time to take your height
at the doctor?
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I mean probably ten years ago? But what I didn't
get any shorter? That's not true.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Okay, let me say this. I like to present one
final time. Come on, not just here, but in life.
I will protect you from being six foot tall. If
you say six foot out, you will not hear me
raise my hand to go. No chance, I will not
say that is not true. If somebody says no way,
I will fight for you. But you got to give
me the same respect for six to one. And if
you want to make that deal, I will make it
(42:46):
with you right now. But it's not just this room.
It's every room for the rest of our lives.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Okay. I can no longer say you're not six to.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
One, not just that. If someone tells me stop saying
you're six to one, be like, no, he's six one
is okay?
Speaker 5 (42:57):
You got to stick up for him.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Yeah, and vice versa for each other. If it comes
to it, you will say that. And this never gets
addressed again either, like this like fight. We don't even
talk about this conversation anymore. It only lives on this podcast.
Is proof that it happened, but we never mentioned it again.
And if you're good with it, I'm good with it.
But but we are what we're saying we are as
(43:19):
of today. You're not six foot tall.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
You are six to one.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
No, I'm not. Yes, you are, if own, but you
didn't agree. If you said if you.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
Lock it in, yeah, you never said yes.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Yeah, you never like officially locked it in.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
I mean, I feel like we're both going to benefit here,
lock it in because I have no problem in modion
that you're taller than me. So bones, I am going
to lock it in and.
Speaker 5 (43:40):
I'm locked into and I'm six four guys.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
No, no, you are not part of.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
How tall are you?
Speaker 5 (43:48):
Six to two? No, I'm the same. It goes up
an inch for all three of us. I'm like six'
one in a quarter. Okay when I say six.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
To two, he said, whatever you want. Uh, okay. Good
job on the game, guys.
Speaker 3 (44:02):
That was fun.

Speaker 5 (46:06):
TikTok is my fantasy app.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
Why don't have TikTok? Huh?
Speaker 5 (46:11):
No, I just try. I just there's a lot of
social media, and I like social media just as much
as anybody else. But I also hate it just as
much as anybody else, and I just try to keep
my time as limited as possible.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Great, super healthy. I think TikTok to me is the
most fun of all.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
It's the best.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
My girlfriend's all over it. It's it doesn't matter what
you love. I'm not doing a commercial for it, but
it doesn't matter what you like. Yeah, there's a whole
corner of your world there, Eddie, me and you. Ten swipes,
let's go. I'll open mind for like mine's not open.
By the way, there's no cheating here, okay, ten swipes.
First up. When the only team there's a bunch of
kids walking down the hallway they're in high school. Looks
like when the only team to make it to state
(46:49):
is the varsity fort nineteen. Oh, that's funny, and it's
a bunch of like nerd kids look like me in
high school. That's their state champion. They're having like a
parade for their varsity state champion. Fortnite. That's what is
that kind of sports?
Speaker 3 (47:04):
No, because they did someone making fun.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Of their school, but it probably like fed it to
me from like state championship. Oh, interesting, it doesn't have
to be. I'm asking you guys that kind of sports
that my.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
Ten yes, say yes because the state championship.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yeah, okay, Then something to watch on streaming this weekend.
Speaker 3 (47:18):
Here are five movies from the five.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
So this is not this is movies because I follow
a movie Mike or Mike Distro, so I get the
movie stuff. Okay, So no, next one up A.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
This is that dog talking?
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Yeah, it's a it's a dog looking at food. Even
it's one of three I forget to charge of it's commercial.
I think yesterday was the first time I actually got
this is sports. This is from Barstool the podcast. It's
a podcast.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
Okay, explain. I loved to see it. You're met. So
there you go.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
So that's Barstool. So far, we got to sports.
Speaker 6 (47:57):
I don't want to do a special in Nicara's.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
Not sports.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
Not sports.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
That is not nicker Wagran. Uh. We're gonna have to
edit that out too, because that's that time closer.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
I'm in the market for a cowboy and I think.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Megan Maroney, okay, bring me one.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Then we got a request.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
Were so I'm two of six so far.
Speaker 5 (48:20):
It is day three of the Brightest Shambo Challenge seven.
Speaker 6 (48:26):
This footage of Donald Trump that's now leaking from maur
A Lago, something.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
That's not sports sports three of eight.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
I'm flabbergasted that he slipped it.
Speaker 5 (48:38):
Not Dawn connect, Okay, team.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
I can't believe that the heat passed on him at fifteen.
So four that storm dude stream doesn't count.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
About the sports dude, here's five hundred, but it's time.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Yeah, I'm five hundred and sports related algorithm feeds.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
You're gonna beat me, for sure. I bet you. I
get two out of ten just because I'm so diverse.
You know there's gonna be some fishing in there.
Speaker 1 (49:09):
Okay, well that's that'd be a sport. That's a sport.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
Oh really, so like a guy trying to catch an Now.
Speaker 5 (49:14):
You go to state for Fortnite, after you can go
to fish.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
I sponsored my school state fishing. Yes, let's go, baby,
I need to see though.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
Okay, here we go, pulling it up.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
I grow them, I grow them.
Speaker 3 (49:26):
Challenge First one speaking language, gonna become friends with your daughter?
Speaker 1 (49:30):
I don't know that some guy. Oh for one, go ahead,
that's an ad. Okay, that's chaboozie country music. No sports
over two.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
We like it though, commercial Chanelle Lunch of the In
and Out.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
I'm not hungry.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
That's just from Chevy Chase.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Oh for three.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Oh that's the guy from Minute Work.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
He looks old. Yeah, Colin Hayes, Wow, I mean he
is old, but we're all going to get on. It's
pretty good though, man, So far over four dorm dudes? Okay,
what's what's the clip?
Speaker 3 (50:09):
Let's go? Portland fans were going wild after Yuki. I
mean a lot of Yuki oh from Memphis Yuki for
the Memphis Kid.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
Yeah, okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
I don't know, dude, I don't know what that is.
That's an ad uh some my home video for I
don't know. I don't know what this is? One for seven? Oh, well,
it's Lebron Jason Williams versus Randy Moss ad.
Speaker 1 (50:42):
Okay, okay o, that counts that baby.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Okay, what is this? I don't know?
Speaker 1 (50:50):
Somebody playing guitar flamiko.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
I don't know who that is?
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Okay, yeah, musical now yeah, it looks like I don't
know too, right, I don't know what that is? Two
more left?
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Okay, two more? Here go for Following Your Dream. That
a lot of ads so that's ESPN. Guy had no
clue he was chatting with Kyler Murray. That's it, go
back all right?
Speaker 5 (51:12):
Three for nine.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
He didn't know who the young child was talking to him.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
That's funny kids playing football.
Speaker 1 (51:20):
That's okay. Podcast. That counts four okay? Four?
Speaker 3 (51:24):
Ten? Not bad, that's pretty good. That's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
I mean only one lesson me, two more than he thought.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
That was a risk And no, fishing fishing didn't didn't
pop up there.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
Maybe you don't like fishing.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
No, man, I get a lot of deep fishing.
Speaker 1 (51:35):
Are you are you doing that that? Five K?
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Well, here's the thing. My family's coming into town. I
got like, my mom's coming, my sister's coming, my brother's coming,
and they're all coming for Thanksgiving. I'm thinking that'd be cool,
you know, in the morning, Thanksgiving morning, we can all
do the turkey trot. Five K. I google it, look
it up to register. It's fifty dollars a person. There's
six of us plus them three. I mean that's nine people.
(51:58):
We're not gonna pay fifty dollars. So have you ever
done this?
Speaker 1 (52:02):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (52:02):
You ever done the turkey trot?
Speaker 1 (52:03):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (52:04):
Did you know you did?
Speaker 1 (52:05):
I did in Texas did you know you had to pay?
I signed up for it.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
I paid for it. Yeah. Is there any way we
can just show up and.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
Just walk it? Yes, they don't own the street, yeah,
but it's enclosed. I think you can. It's a good
question because you know, I think yes, I think they
can't keep you off the street.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Maybe maybe we do, like three people and it's like
one hundred and fifty bucks and whatever charity it goes to,
we've donated one hundred and fifty bucks, but then the
rest of.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
Us Just so you know, you're not going to donate
the money. Let's be honest, you're gonna do it. You're
not gonna donate the money too.
Speaker 3 (52:36):
Well, if you tell me that, I won't get caught.
I mean, yeah, we'll just walk up there.
Speaker 1 (52:39):
I don't think anybody's going to enforce step Mike, you're
a runner.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
I don't know how much they enforce it for five k's,
but for marathons, if you don't have a bib, there
are people that look out to find people who don't
have bibs and make them get off the street.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
But I don't know about a five marathon is much
more serious. It's more expensive too, everyone's dressed like a
turkey like. Also, the costumes, yeah, yeah, they're not going
to see the bib.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
So if I wear a costume, I'm gonna be like ya,
my bib's under here.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
I don't think you even have. What would be the
integrity way to play this would be to pay for it, Okay,
but that's a lot of money. I also understand that
there's a lot of money. Why not do your own
turkey trot run the neighborhood. Yeah, you could do that.
That's integrity based, But part of it's.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
The vibe of everyone dressed.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
Like so you want to experience what they paid for
having to pay for it. I mean that's really the question.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
I guess that's kind of it.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
So a little less integrity play here is to do
a partial sign up or a partial donation.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
So three of us sign up.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
But do I think that you're going to get caught
and like run out of town? No, I think you'll
be fine.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Let me run in by my mom because my wife
and I were on board. I mean, she's just like,
there's no way we can pay all that for everyone,
So she's on board and maybe sneaking in my mom.
I don't know she gets embarrassed.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
By but it's not sneaking in. You're in public.
Speaker 3 (53:56):
But don't they have a route? Don't they kind of
like lock it up, Mike, don't they kind of.
Speaker 1 (53:59):
Just like and then they barricade. They can't barricade all
the miles. It's like a starting line and an ending
finish line. You could hop in a tenth of a
mile into it and they would not know. That would
cost a lot. If they barricaded the whole thing, that'd
be amazed, that'd be amazedly.
Speaker 3 (54:12):
You're right, didn't I shut it down for a five K?
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Yeah? All right, I think you could regardless, you can
go do it. You and your family can go do it.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
Okay, we have your blessing.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
No, I don't give my blessing unless you pay for
it because it's for a charity, right yeah?
Speaker 3 (54:27):
Is it for a charity? Mic or do they give
that just to the people at the barricade costs? It's
usually a charity. Yeah, okay, maybe I donate to the charity.
Like fifty is a lot, though I thought it'd be
like fifteen dollars a person or something.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
You definitely can do it without paying. You can as
in you, you'd be able to. No one's going to
enforce a rule on you. If you feel good about that,
you go for it.
Speaker 3 (54:49):
You guys want to talk a trot with us?
Speaker 1 (54:51):
No, But if you finish and you're like, dang it,
you could then just go make a donation to the charity.
That's not even the full price for all the people
that is a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
Yeah, you could just.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
Go don't on a hundre bucks to whatever the charity is.
And I think that would even be a move, okay,
because I think they'd rather have the one hundred bucks
and you come and cheat the system, then you not
show up at all and then not get the hundred bucks,
right like, I think that's a win for the charity.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Yes, Now, if I do get caught, do I tell
them that? No, it's playing on donating at the end.
Speaker 1 (55:15):
The problem with getting caught is your kids are with
you and they're gonna see you lie.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
Correct, correct, And kids watch everything we're doing.
Speaker 1 (55:22):
So if you get caught out, just run, yes, run faster,
run away. Yeah, you can't get cont front of your kid.
But I don't think anyone's going to care enough to
catch them, right mate?
Speaker 3 (55:31):
Yeah, I don't think so. Okay, Okay, I.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
Think the move is because it is a bit unrealistic
feet to pay nine times fifty Yeah, right, nine people,
fifty nine people do? The math is how much money?
Speaker 3 (55:42):
I can't do that, ma, calculator four to fifty nine
times five forty five? How did you do that?
Speaker 1 (55:46):
Nine times five forty five at the zero?
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Got it?
Speaker 1 (55:48):
I don't think that's any I'm not.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
Sure I would be the shortcut.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
How would you have done that the same way?
Speaker 3 (55:53):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Yeah, I think if it's for a charity, they would
rather people that have massive families that cannot pay the
four and fifty bucks to all still do it, but
pay something better than getting nothing. That's my suggestion, Kevin.
Speaker 5 (56:09):
Yeah, that's probably your best bet.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
No one's gonna catch you, No one's gonna call him out.
Speaker 5 (56:12):
No, they're not gonna care that much.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Especially if when they don't win the race, you can't
finish like top ten year age group or anything, then
then that's here comes the leader.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Yeah, you can say he doesn't have a.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
Bit blend in.
Speaker 5 (56:26):
Blend in.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
Yes, you can't win, so pull that. Well, go ahead,
I'm sorry to interrupt.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
No, No, that's it.
Speaker 1 (56:32):
That's it, because if you're like on the internet as
one of the people the winner of the Turkey truck
or like top, you can't do any of that.
Speaker 3 (56:39):
And then the news you know, interviewed me.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Okay, I think we're I think we've reached a good
place here.
Speaker 6 (56:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving. Hope you
have a great few days of watching football. I got
nothing else because we're just pretty much not even speculating games,
speculating if the game's even happened, right right, if we're safe.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
If we're still a lot.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
So I'm saying we might be dead right now, right
So that's weird of like bad Turkey. I don't think
gonna die from them.
Speaker 5 (57:10):
We're not coming to your house.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
I don't think so are you. What are you doing for? Wow,
we already did it. Never mind, you want to know
what we already did. We already did Thanksgiving. Thank you, guys.
We have Joey Logano coming on next week. We're pretty
excited about that, and you, guys, hope you had a
great holiday. We will see you on Monday. By everybody
