Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is a podcast called twenty five whists stuck in
fun Ball and they were a whist so yet it's
too bad, But what did you expect? It's a podcast
called twenty five Whistles.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Twine whin, Oh.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Eddie blow the whistle?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
All right?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
We went to the super Bowl last night.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's a terrible game that sounds so cool though it is,
and it'll be something that will get cooler the farther
away you get from it. And I got very fortunate
at the times I got to go, because it wasn't
because I had anything to do with going. So and
I could kind of give you the flip, we'll do
super Bowl first, made the game sucked, we'd remove all

(00:48):
betting aside because I lost every bet.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I mean, yes, let's check that out.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
So I lost.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Everybody, that's okay. I think it just full transparence. I
think I lost like three thousand dollars last night. I
kept loading up when the Chiefs were getting further and
further down because I just I think, like most of
America had an expectation that Patrick Mahomes would be Superman.
Instead he was I don't even want to say wonder

(01:13):
Woman because she's superhero too, and that would be very sexist.
So what I will say is he turned out to
be I don't know, who's one of the bad ones.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
I'm trying to think because even the bad guys like
the villains Aretty Good, they wouldn't have made it to
the major leagues of fights, the super videos, you know what.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I mean, right right, So I'll just say it was bad.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
It was a terrible performance, But I don't think that
it was a Patrick Mahomes sucks performance as much as
it was that Kansaity offensive line. They have been patching
it together all year. You got a guard playing tackle,
you got them barely winning a bunch of games you
have and more than that, you had that front four

(01:53):
from Philadelphia. They're just domint no dominated. They what was
it like, the second lowest blitz rate in all time
And when you're front four are getting pressure and allows
everybody else to not have to blit, it's very difficult.
And Mahomes had no time to do anything. So yeah,
as a bad game for Patrick Mahomes. But if we've
seen if Patrick Mahomes is any time to do anything,

(02:15):
he does it. He had no time, dude, he was
getting s sack sack sack sack, So bad game, good
for the Eagles. Very passionate fans. They're annoying, But I
like that. I like passionate annoying fans because that means
they're really passionate. That the arena was eighty five percent
seventy five percent Eagles fans.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Probably, Oh yeah for Estill.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
And if you're a Chiefs fan, you're the only team
to ever have a shot at a three peat.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
That's pretty cool. You didn't win, it sucks.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
You would have loved to have been the first team
to ever do it, because then you'd have been in
the conversation of the greatest dynasty ever. But now it's
going to take another three years or so for them
to get back to that. Hey, are they now the
greatest dynasty? And is Patrick Mahomes the greatest ever? I
think he had an argument if he was the first
one to three peat. Now he's got to get seven,
possibly eight rings to beat Brady or do something like

(03:06):
three peats. So Patriots fans, big sigh of relief. Patrick
Mahomes not a good game. Travis Kelcey not a good game.
But mostly it was that the Eagles had an awesome game.
Eagles were fantastic, beautiful day to be a Patriot fan.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
We had fair seats.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I don't know, they're fine, but in the Super Bowl
everything they were good. And this listen I looked before
I went on. I didn't want to say it to everybody.
I could have sold all six tickets seventeen thousand dollars and.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
That's just money I just could have kept.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
But this is the but I didn't spend that for them,
So it wasn't like I lost the money. And you'll
hear the scavenger hunt as we move on here. So
I don't want even want it to be like I
spent that because I didn't. I as part of my
contract with NFL, part of because I get paidtual money

(04:00):
to believe it or not, but they also buy the
NFL give me as give me four tickets, and they
were like, hey, you can use them or you can
sell them.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Like it wasn't like I had to.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Be there, but what we what I needed to be
there for was to do a bunch of the interviews
EMT Smith and Deon Sanders coming up. So I didn't
spend it on it, but I had them and then
I got it's coming up, right, Mike, all that, so
I didn't want to say everything that happened. You can
listen to it if you'd like. I think it was
a really fun week. I'm exhausted. So this first segment
is not going to be long because we were gone

(04:32):
Tuesday until we got back Monday morning in time to
do the radio show. Like I went to bed at
two am and the show started at five.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Man, the night was quick, Yeah, it was.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
It was.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
And I'll but this audience, I'll have full transparency because
this is not a Gen Pop audience on Gen Pop
show radio show, it's a little more hey, because people
are passive listening. Don't say things that could alienate people,
make them feel differently. It's a different environment if you

(05:04):
listen broadcast when there's passive listening.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Versus if you guys are here with us, you know us.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
And I feel like I can say things with nuance
and you'll have an understanding of it. So this next
story I say because of that, we go to the game,
we have to get back to work, so we fly
privately from New Orleans right after the game back to Nashville.
So we go to the private airport. We have a

(05:33):
plane and there's there's eight of us. It's our whole crew.
Plus I won't build their spots up, not that there's
anything to blow up. But it was just two people
that I work with in other capacities. They were flying
back and in case they didn't tell their wives or so,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
It just doesn't matter who it was. They weren't up
to no good. I just it's just not it's you know,
it's not the story.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah whatever.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
So this is just a couple of small stories from afterward.
So obviously the president was there. And whenever the president's somewhere,
and I've had this happen before, nobody goes anywhere.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
The president was at the game, yes and no. And
his plane was at the airport.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Was he at our airport?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Well, that's the airport. Oh dang, Well that's the biggest
private airport. That's where he was.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Until he went up, we couldn't go. And not only that,
you have to reserve slots out. Usually I only say
this to you guys, because I know you don't think
we're any different, better or worse.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
When I tell these stories.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Usually what happens is if you're flying private. It doesn't
matter when if you say you got eleven o'clock flight,
you get the eleven twenty eleven thirty.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
It don't matter. There's no TSA.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
You just get on with your Bayer crap and you
just go and the pilots are there and you just
do your thing.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Because the super Bowl it just lined up.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
You had to purchase a slot to get out so
you could be sure to get out. And we get
to the private airport and it's jammed, and I've never
seen so many rich people my life. Like, it's just crazy.
Like I got I would say I have new work money,
meaning I have new money, and if I'm gonna spend

(07:13):
it like this, it's for work because I got to
get back because we had to do the radio show.
So I'm only doing that whenever. It's like we got
to do it, because we didn't do that down there.
We took a tour bus down there because we were
stopping into the places, and so we get in, we
can't leave because the president hasn't left yet.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
They thought he was gonna leave way earlier.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
He stayed later, So we're just standing around and we
ended up getting out at an okay time, but I
think the awkward ish. There are certain rules that I've
had to learn the hard way about when you go
into these little airports and sometimes you see famous people
in there, and it's don't.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Like just play it cool.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
It's like, I don't know what I would compare it to,
like backstage in an award show. When I first was
I had to learn the rules your backstage at an award show,
play it cool. I never Sometimes I didn't want to
play a cool like this is crazy. I had to
kind of stop Kevin last night from taking a picture
of Adam Sandler and the private airport.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
And when he looked at me and put his knuckles
out and he was like, what's up, man, Well, you.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Were talking about the Eagles and he was rooting for
the Eagles. And Kevin grabs his phone and throws his
camera open and it is going to take a picture.
I'm like, do not take a picture of Adam Sandler
and the private.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Airport and then goes okay.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
So, but he could not be any more open, like
he was loving it, and I didn't go up to him.

Speaker 7 (08:35):
He came up to me and he was like, what's up. Yeah, Eagles,
blah blah, blah. I was like, perfect timing. I didn't
have to go up to him. Well, make it awkward.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
He didn't go up to He was getting food right
by our table, like he was. His back was at
that little thing. And then Kevin, who probably was drunk
a little bit.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
Yeah, I was having a good time. It was a
great night. Right one money and was like one chief's loss.

Speaker 7 (08:56):
It was beautiful.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
It was like loud, and Adam Sandler turns around and
looks him and goes, yeah, I throws his knuckles out
and then he Kevin takes his phone.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I was like, do not take a picture of somebody?
It was super cool.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Was Adam Sandler I would have loved it, went and
got a picture like I was like, and so was
my Mike and I were both like, oh man, it
was Adam Taylor was like my list of like top
seven influences ever. And so I at one point had
to be taught these rules and it's a it's a.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Hard role to learn.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
And so last night Kevin got a lesson in why
we're not good at being around those kind of people
just in general.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
Yeah, I regret it. I should have done it.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I shouldn't have done it.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Say that again.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
I said I should have done it. He was open
for it. He was ready.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
You regret what.

Speaker 7 (09:44):
Not going through with the picture.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
He wasn't at He wouldn't want you to take a picture.
You made a.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Loud noise and he looked at you because you like
like scared him. And then he was like yeah, he
throws his knuckles out.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
You probably did that the shut down the photo. Yes, yeah,
and Kevin just grabs his money. I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
Yeah, I don't know. You guys are pretty sour after
the game.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
I was having a good time. I saw it differently,
Are you still drunk?

Speaker 8 (10:06):
It sounds like it, and like we weren't sour, you
nobody just on a different level.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I wasn't sour at all. I had no no, I don't.
I won't bet enough at an event like that to
ruin the event.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
If it's like.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
An event that I don't have a team in. Listen,
if Arkansas has been playing, i'd have been defeated. But no,
I wasn't even one percent sour.

Speaker 7 (10:30):
Okay, I think I think.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
I was having a good time and Red was having
a good time, and we were like, dang it, don't
seem so down.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Don't put read in don't put read into it because
you were drunk and loud and all I all it
was was, hey, don't.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
The same role.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
I had to learn, can't take pictures in here, because
then they'll they put you in like rich person jail.
And I don't ever want to go to rich person
in jail, although it might be nice.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Is that where chrisly is in Florida somewhere?

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Yes, So we.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Flew back, got back, all good, we're back, We're tired.
I had to work hard to drink enough water not
to lose my voice. Like that's always a constant for
me because the post Malone pre show we went.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
We were at that and tailgate.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, and it was awesome and I wanted to sing, but.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Then I got to think I gotta be responsible, and
so I'm.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Like, that's ma, I'm kind of just moving my mouth,
but I don't want to blow my voice out.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I totally get that.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
But I drank a lot of water. It was, you know,
we in the end had a good time. I think
I'm gonna go take a nap. You can listen to
the rest of the show. I don't think anybody was
sour though, do you mind like nobody was? I think
Kevin was just drunk.

Speaker 7 (11:58):
I was having a good time. I had a great night.
It just seemed like everyone and maybe guys are just tired.

Speaker 9 (12:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
You keep calling it a great night though, Kevin just
to say, like, man, I was, I was buzzing, like
I was drunk.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
I said I was, Yeah, I was, like I was
feeling good.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
He keeps calling I think he's still drunk. I honestly
think he's still drunk.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
No, I've been sober for a while now.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Edie always sounds like an addict.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Eddie, what you're looking? Do you think there's any chance
he's still buzzing? But to be fair, we just got
home a few hours ago.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
Yeah, yeah, I think I think now at this point
of the day, I think tiredness could be mistaken as tired.

Speaker 7 (12:32):
Yeah, hey, everyone here is tired.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Did you sleep at all last night?

Speaker 7 (12:36):
Yeah? Sop, uh what do we see? Three hours? Four hours?

Speaker 9 (12:39):
Whatever it was.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
But I don't sound I don't sound topsy turvy like
he like his voices, right. He sounds sounds yeah very much.
So you're not drunk at all. Maybe that's what maybe
he's drunk. And that's why this we're getting the odd
version of Kevin right now, the villain Kevin. You know
you're completely good?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (13:00):
Are you asking me?

Speaker 3 (13:01):
He's drunk? Guys, I'm telling you.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
He me, you're asked him now. I don't know what
you're doing.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
I don't know what to going. I mean, he said,
I'm as sober as canna be. Been here and we've
been here all morning.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Bobby, this sounds like this sounds like a cop cam,
Like right now, I got it.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
The more he talks, the worse it gets for him.

Speaker 7 (13:18):
How much to take a breathalyzer?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah, I wish we had one, Come do it.

Speaker 7 (13:23):
I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Even Like before we came on, I was like, hey,
how long is this episode? How long do we have?

Speaker 4 (13:30):
And it just felt kind of weird. Kevin was like,
we have thirty minutes. I'll say I can't be true,
and he was like, okay, let me go check again
and comes back twenty two minutes something else like that
can't be true. That ione put my headone would take
my headphones off. I got some other stuff to work on.
We'll meet back in ten minutes. Let me how much
audio we have and so we look at it and

(13:52):
Mike's like, oh, we have like fifty seven minutes.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Kevin comes back and he's like.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Uh, fifty minutes and I was like, oh, okay, well,
well that's what I said.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
I said we had thirty.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Plus the interview, and I was like, well, and then
he got kind of angry.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
But he's drunk. Now it makes sense. Yeah, no, dude,
I'm telling you no.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
No, Before before the interviews, I said, without the interviews,
we have like thirty to thirty five.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Ever, why would we ever not count an interview in
the history of like how much time do we have it?

Speaker 3 (14:25):
For ad?

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Because you said how much time? Is all the other
stuff that we haven't I never said five.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
It doesn't matter except now I think Kevin's drunk. And
that's Keller.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
You're feeling good man, feeling great.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
You got an extra alcohol over there.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Let's vote, do we think he's still a little buzzed, and.

Speaker 8 (14:46):
Then we'll go, Eddie, I'm gonna go yeah, you guys
convinced me.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
I wasn't totally convinced either. Kevin's like the nicest, like
sweetest guy, and he's been a little aggressive this morning,
and so I knew there was something off, but that
is funny.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Now it's funny. I'm not drunk.

Speaker 7 (15:04):
I'm definitely sleep.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Now it's fake yawning though. Now it's fake yawning to
the officer.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
I was gonna go the other way to fake yawning
to the cop cam.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Okay, Mike, Mike, you're not time to vote.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
I was convinced he was just tired until that fake
yon came in, like he's really selling it.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Selling it hard. Watch officer. I can jump on one
foot backward. Just tired.

Speaker 7 (15:28):
Go Eagles.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
But you're not even an Eagles fan.

Speaker 7 (15:32):
I was last night. I was hugging Eagles fans.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Man.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
It's freaking awesome because because they were winning Pick six
one money, Eagles won.

Speaker 7 (15:42):
She's lost and beautiful.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Pig skin helmets, not jose jump Aliah. Okay, I don't
know what we're going to first, but let's go to
something here.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Okay, we're gonna get out of here. Let's get Kevin
some water and set him down.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Give him a black coffee. Yes, is that what it is?

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Okay, we're to go to you and Eddio at the stage. Okay,
at the stage, yeah, with we're on stage.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Yeah, oh you're talking about studio. Okay, thank you. This
is our episode today. As you can tell, Kevin went
to the super Bowl. As you can really can tell
Kevin went to the super Bowl, but you can hear
how all that went down. Thank you guys. And here
is the episode. Last night we went to NFL Honors.
We had pretty good seat second row, right behind i'd
say Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase, and the camera was

(16:37):
on them at parts of the night for significant amounts
of time. And they put them together on purpose because
obviously it's a Benkals quarterback who was up for a
couple of different awards.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
And arguably the best receiver in the game.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
So as they are roasting Joe Burrow or doing jokes
about Joe Burrow.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
There we are right behind behind him, and we have
to react. Do you have to like over? You have
to at least be aware that your face is on.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
So if you're not paying attention or you're not laughing
at the appropriate amount, you're gonna look like a douche.
And if you look at the camera, you look like
a douche. So I think he played it perfectly.

Speaker 8 (17:13):
My goal was to not look at Joe Burrow when
they were talking about him because you know, you watch
like the Oscars or any kind of award show and
you see people behind them and they're talking about say Snoop, right,
and everyone behind.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Him is looking at Snoop like, what's your reacted? I
was like, do not look at Joe, do not look
at Joe.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, I guess I didn't think about that.

Speaker 10 (17:31):
I looked.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
I just watched Snoop tell his jokes. Yeah, that's right.
I got a lot of pictures are tagged. The pictures
like you and Eddie at the award.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
I got more of that than I did presenting an award,
probably because it was way earlier in the show too.

Speaker 8 (17:45):
Well, what's funny is you know, like NFL posts the
reels about all this stuff, and we got tagged on
so many of those posts.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
So just like, is that probably Bose is that producer? A?

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Yeah, there's a meme with Joe Burrow in just my
head right behind him the NFL posted and it's just
Obera laughing and like perfectly squared up is my face
right over his shoulder.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
But I think the main, the main thing that they
did Clip Bones was the you know, the the joke
about the Batmobile, the Batmobile, and I guess they're trying
to make a thing out of how Joe was laughing
and then he got serious.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
But they made fun of his defense.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
Yeah, and also I would bet he knew that was coming.

Speaker 8 (18:21):
Oh, like to get my heads up, probably because even
like like say, like the joke was about you and
haha whatever, but he needs like a better best friend.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
You would be like not funny.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
You'd at least have to act it out, even if
he felt like maybe they were onto something.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
All right, but we saw Belichick.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Oh yeah, girl, his girl.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
I was backstage after I had finished doing my presentation
with Kyle U Chick.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
He was super nice, lart, he's kind of personally tall.
He went to Harvard.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
No, I didn't know that. Wow.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
I'm almost positive he went to Harvard.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Because he's a good football player, because it's smart.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Because I think I saw it on his Instagram. Okay,
Like if I think back, why I knew that? Uh No,
he's super nice. I mean he was just normal.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
It's not even that he was super nice or not nice,
because if I say super nice, it feels like he
was trying to be nice.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Everybody was just normal.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
I kind of was just put in with a group
of people and everybody was just a peer.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
And I'm really not a peer in that.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Group, but because I was in the group, they just
accepted me as a peer. So I was back there
with Snoop and Belichick and because there was a holding
room and yu Check was back there. It's a couple
other guys that were just big, so I knew they
had to be a player. But I don't want to
be like, which one are you?

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Oh, like physically big?

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah, right, And the worst thing that could have done
is go, hey, which which one are you?

Speaker 10 (19:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (19:42):
So I just kind of ate some ham back there
in the little ham station there. No, it's small food.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
It was like a full meal demo thing. On stage.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
I presented to George Kittle for the USAA like that,
the Salute to Service Award, And as we're doing the speech,
George Kittle tries to get up and accept the award early,
which would have thrown.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Timing off because a video has to run.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
And George Kittle has a big personality obvious obviously if
you watch forty nine Ers and know him, you know
he's all.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
He's all over the play.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
It's like super funny larger than life. He starts to
get up, and in the middle of my speech, I'm like.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Do I start And I'm like, George, hold on, George,
hold on, And then I go back to the prompter.
And I didn't know how it came off.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
I never even asked how it came off, because if
it didn't come off good, I didn't want to know.
And two different NFL guys stopped me last night and
they're like, hey, we're glad you said that, because George
was gonna walk up on stage, and they were like,
it came off great, Like so you knew.

Speaker 8 (20:38):
The format of the presentation, like you're gonna say something,
They're gona play a video.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
So we had to be way to be moved.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah, because we were standing at one part of the stage.
They run a big video overhead they run on TV.
And then when it comes backward the front of the
stage and Kittle's not supposed to come up toward the
front of the stage.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
And what he because I didn't look back, So what
did he do? He got?

Speaker 3 (20:54):
He starts, he stands up. He's two rows behind us.
He stands up and starts to walk toward it, and
he stands up enough that I know.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
He's not kidding, because you could do like where you
just kind of flint like you're just kind of play
get get No, he's up, and I'm like, George waits.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
We haven't even said it's George yet. Is the funny thing.
We never I don't think we said it. George was
the winner.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
I think you did. Whatever the case.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
He's ready to go, and he knew because his speech
was in the prompter, he knew that was an award.
He knew he won, and it was a you know,
military service awards.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
So we wanted to be able to say the right things.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
So that was good. We finished. It was kind of
a mess getting our car, but we found.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
It and we ended up walking to our car.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
We did.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
There's just a lot of people, but again a lot
of really cool people that you can just look around
and be like, holy crap, we can't believe we see
this person.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
I ended up talking to the chargers' owners last night,
owners of.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
The chargers, and I was like, hey, congratulations, like they
need of me to say it, like I'm the one guy,
thank you, Bobby Well. I think they also were like
why are we talking to eat? But I was thinking that,
and they were thinking that, and it was really they
were really nice.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Was this when you were talking to Ron Rivera too?
Were they all in the same So.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Yeah, somebody grabbed me and said, hey, come talk to coach.
You want to say hi to you. There's a hundred
coaches there, so I didn't know which coach it was.
And I'm like okay, and I go. And it was
Ron Rivera, who was on our show a few weeks ago,
and he's awesome. I'm like, hey, young, go out to
a new job at Cal. We're talking about that. And
as I'm walking off.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Whomever it was that introduced me to Ron Rivera says, oh,
and these are the owners of the Chargers. And I'm like,
I have nothing to say. I don't know, I don't
even I know nothing.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yeah, I don't know what.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
So I'm like going, And they also were the same.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Go.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
There's I see Deance Andrews right there. We're gonna have
to break in a second because he about to come
up here. I'll finish the story in just a second.
But they is he stopping by or no? Is he
walking up?

Speaker 8 (22:41):
He's still walking okay, And they're turning in our direction,
are they coming up. They are going to another stage.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Okay, good, perfect, he's probably going over there. Yes, he
has like twenty people around him, so he didn't see us. Yes,
I saw him last night though.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
It was awesome.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, so I mean talking to him. Keep going with
the story.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
So they pulled me from Ron Rivera and I'm just
with the charges of people and they think that somebody
prominence talking to them because somebody's introduced them.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
And I'm like, they're like, it's the guy from Weezer.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
We both were like we should stay in this for
a second because we think we're talking to somebody to
let's just be not And I was like, congrats on
your team, and they were like danks.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
I was like, hey, how about that one year?

Speaker 2 (23:21):
But I know what to say, dude, A good thing.

Speaker 8 (23:24):
You can come up with something, because I would have
been like, uh, justin Herbert was so good.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Well then I did any mini Ted talk on culture?

Speaker 3 (23:30):
I was like, you guys did it? He set the culture.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
And I'm just looking to get out of there now
because I don't like them. I don't know them, and
also know they don't know me, and neither one of
us really want to be here. Very long waiting on
the cars, and so I'm like, all, great, congrats, good
like next year, I'll be rooting for you guys, and
we walk off.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
And that's when I walked to and I go, we
gotta go.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
We got to find our car.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
I didn't want to stand next to them after I
said I already had to go, So that's why we went.

Speaker 8 (23:53):
Walking down the street to find our car. Yeah, so
I've never been part of that kind of experience. You know,
when you see like the Awards shows and afterwards everyone's
waiting to get their car and all these cars show
up and they start yelling like jam rcha jo marchase
your car's here, and a few times I feel like
either jamar I think it was a Belichick lost his

(24:14):
ride because they were.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Like, we're not waiting anymore, no Belichick, moving on.

Speaker 10 (24:18):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
So we did that in Our driver, whose name was Eugene,
was like it was great, and so we were like
usually one hungary and it was hard to get anything
to eat in the middle of New Orleans because it's
the Super Bowl and everything is packed and things that
are normal aren't even normal to rented out by other things.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
So we're like can you drive us somewhere to get
some food? And because the NFL picked the car, so
let's use the car. So he's like, yeah, no problem.
So we go and he takes this to like.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
This old It was a corner like a store like.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Iould I would have called it gas has no gas.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
No gas.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
It's just then of a building and it's old.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
It looks like the package has been there for twenty
like the oatmeal pies and there for twenty years.

Speaker 8 (25:01):
Everything's really tight, but it felt like a New York bodega.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
But then they can call the outside. It felt like
a New York store on a corner.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
So we go in barely take your elbows and push
them out because it's so tight, and he's like, order
the Murphy's burrow.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
That's not what it was called.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Don't know what it was called.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I don't know. Order the moof is lava something like that.
Move it was like Mufasa.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
And he doesn't get it hot.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
So we walk in and we're like, what, we're not
even in a restaurant. I thought he was taking it
to a restaurant. We'll take two Murphy's burrows. One I
can't eat cheese now it sucks and eddies and cheese,
and so we get on the drive.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Back to they did look at you no cheese. I
think the whole thing is cheese, like MUFAs with no cheese.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Yeah, So we get these and we go back to
our muf moffalata. That's it. We go back to our rooms.
We're different hotels, but we go back to our rooms
and I eat. It's pretty good. It's pretty good, I think.
Yet you don't like all of it.

Speaker 8 (26:02):
It's olive based, like whatever is the spread is olive based,
and so I don't I can't stand all of it.
So I think it could have been good if I
liked all of us.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
But to me, the olives kind of just ruined it
from me.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
I think it was pretty good, and I don't mind olives,
But like, my stomach is a little weird too, really,
I maybe my stomach just remembers what the gas station
looked like.

Speaker 8 (26:22):
Yeah, possible, it was not well, it was. It was
pretty greasy, and we ate it late, so it's never
really good to eat that late and then go to sleep.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
I'm a little unsettled, if I'm being honest, and usually
I know what the unsettling is. From and I think
that's about it.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Bones. I'm on a bat. We're in a bad streak.

Speaker 8 (26:37):
Dude, Gumbo, late night gumbo could be all that late
night muffiladas just not good.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
So we're back here again today and.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
We got some pretty good guess again. We just saw
Deon Sanders walk by and we almost cut because I
didn't if he was coming up here or not.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
Did you want to talk about Ron Rivera or do
you want to save that? He told me there's a
good story about that.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Well save I don't remember this story. Does it sucks?

Speaker 9 (27:00):
Well?

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Savicau? I don't remember it right now. But I did
see Dion last night.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
I was about to go on stage and he was
sitting there because he was going out.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
I think, did he go off with the Hall of
Fame when they.

Speaker 10 (27:10):
Pulled the Hall of famers?

Speaker 2 (27:11):
No, he presented he did, Okay, he presented it with
a Belichick.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Okay. I never saw that because I was a backstage
so it was when they pulled me back. So I
see him sitting on the side. He comes up and
he hugs me and he goes, look at you, look
at you, so proud of you.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
And I'm like what and like, right, as soon as
like we're about to talk at all, someone grabs me
and goes, Bobb, you got to go on stage. So
I did not get talked to him last night, but
he was wearing like all black and had on sunglasses,
and I was like, man, I wish I look like that.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
I know a lot of those guys, like even Jane
Danas had sunglasses, and I'm like, so cool, I.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Wish we could do that.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
I'm in like a pink bowling shirt today.

Speaker 8 (27:44):
You know what last night too, And you did tell
me and I just kind of ignored it, but I
might have been the only person there without a suit.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
We got it addressed. Yeah, you're for sure.

Speaker 8 (27:51):
Definitely underdressed, but everyone on TV that saw me said
I didn't even notice.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Because that's what I was worried about.

Speaker 8 (27:56):
Every time I saw one of those headset guys come by,
I thought they were gonna say, like, you have to
go in the back.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Well you only see like nipples up from the people
sitting there, but you also have to sling on and I.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Think the sling kind of looks like.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Yeah, So that's that's the story.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Now we have a bunch of guests, so We're gonna
take a break and we will come back with hopefully
the guests that show up.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Also, Kevin's trying to finish this, finish the scavenger.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
He's on a mission.

Speaker 8 (28:26):
He looks like a hawk, and when he sees prey,
he just starts running towards him.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
So by the time this airs, it will have already happened.
You'll already know the result. But you're in a time machine.
As of right now, we do not know if Kevin
has gotten anybody.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Yes, so that's it.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
All right, take a break, we'll come back another Dallas
Cowboys legend. It was basically Cowboys Day. This is a
guy who I love. I've talked about him openly a lot.
Has become a good friend of mine. Dion Sanders Coach
Prime one of the greatest athletes to ever play. He

(29:01):
obviously was in the NFL, played in the Major League,
did in the same day as well, like played baseball
the same day, which is crazy. He won two Super Bowls,
NFL Defensive Player of the Year, six times First Team
All Pro. The list goes on big thanks to Coach
Prime for joining us here.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
He is Deon Sanders, it great to see you again.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Likewise, my friend I was on rich Eisend a few
weeks ago, rich loves You, All love you, and I
was just telling him the greatest hype story I ever
got was me alone about to dance my final dance,
sitting you in the hallway, and you'd being like, you
got this far and nothing you can do but do
what you've been doing.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
And I was like, I got like a tier, slapped
the wall, played like a champion, walked out one one
the mirror ball. It's my favorite.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Oh no, I'm glad. I'm glad I was able to
inspire you to your level greatness.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
And I didn't even let chase you.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
I was like, God, pa us together in a random
hallway and a studio. So super Bowl wise, do you
travel with your rings when you come to a super
Bowl and you do this?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
I don't even wear my rings. I don't even know.
I haven't seen my rings in over ten years.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Where are in storage somewhere?

Speaker 2 (30:16):
They're in a safety depositive wix bro.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
That makes sense, man, I think, yeah, so we have friends.
They got the fake trophy. You have a trophy.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
I don't even know what.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
A trophy is. You know you played right, but you
know you played some Yeah.

Speaker 11 (30:32):
I do remember I play. Yeah, yeah, that part I get.
But the trophy is probably put up somewhere in storage.

Speaker 10 (30:40):
I don't have.

Speaker 11 (30:41):
I don't have a whole lot of sports morebilia in
my house in the bold?

Speaker 4 (30:45):
Is it because there's so much? What's what's your favorite piece?

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Like, do you have what's one thing that you have
the house that it could even be like from high school,
like that you love.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
I don't have nothing at my house.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Is that because you're like, my wife won't allow my
ball in the house.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I don't even have the mirror ball.

Speaker 11 (31:02):
Mirror ball is in my restaurant in Vegas, and some
of my high school stuff is in my out in
my restaurant in Vegas. So I put a lot of
the memorabilious stuff out there in Vegas, so people.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Who comes out to the restaurant I get a chance
to come see it. I even got a high school
jerseys out there I have. I have a jersey when
I was.

Speaker 11 (31:23):
Twelve years old that's out there as well.

Speaker 10 (31:27):
Well.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Award number forty five.

Speaker 11 (31:29):
Florida, like back back when I was back in punscolo.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Yeah, and Little League football.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, man, what what what hit? Do you remember the most? Like,
I'm a huge one. My mama gave me. That's the
one that I remember the most.

Speaker 5 (31:44):
Most.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
That you don't remember is because you got knocked out
and I got knocked out one time.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Yeah, when you were playing as a twelve thirteen year old,
did you play every position? Were you the guy every position?
Like put it we get put in a quarterback?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Yeah, yep, I did all of that.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
I did.

Speaker 11 (31:59):
Matter of fact, our starting quarterback when I was twelve
years old, Jodyeger broke his arm a week before a
playoff game or a tampionship game, a playoff game really,
and I was we ran like the wishbone, and so
they moved me from that put me back at quarterback.
They kept moving around quarterback, and then the game got tight,

(32:22):
they put me at the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Position and just teld me to just keep grunting it.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
At what level of ball to you, did you have
the most joy?

Speaker 11 (32:31):
Probably probably pop warning high school it was the most
joy because I didn't have the pressures of didn't think
about pressure at the time because I was just out
playing football, having fun with my friends and so forth.

(32:52):
Then when you get to high school, then things get
a little bit more realer, because a little bit more
real because you are actually have the ability to either
help a team win or cause a team to lose.
And then you start to understand the importance of the
game and the importance of your role, and then.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Things just change. It change from that point on.

Speaker 8 (33:15):
And then I got four boys. They all play sports,
and I'm in that sports world. You know of just
a lot of parents out there, different kinds of sports parents.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
What kind of sports parents were you though?

Speaker 11 (33:25):
I was one of those kinds that would laid back,
allowing coaches to coach my kids. I would talk to
my kids about finishing what you start.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
There's no quitting. You can start this. If you don't
want to play it again, you gotta wait tap the
end of the season. We won't do it again.

Speaker 11 (33:48):
If my kids had a bad, poor attitude on the field,
I would definitely yell from wherever I'm at to try
to spend them up. But I allowed them to be
kids because I wanted to be a dad. I didn't
want to and sometimes I regret that I didn't didn't
go in a little bit harder or a live it more,

(34:10):
But I allowed them to have fun and allowed them
to find their way. And so that's the kind of
pops I was.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Now.

Speaker 11 (34:19):
I did talk about things and analyze things with them, but.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Pat them on the back. Great job, hang in there,
we'll get the next one.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
I was at the game when you broke the record.
You were playing, You're playing the Seahawks. It was in Dallas,
you wrote the Uh, maybe it was, maybe it's yards.
It's been so long since, but I remember they put
the star together. But I remember the Cowboys lost the game,
but you had to go up and get the award
after the game. And I always felt like like, this
is like the front of.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
The paper and it breaks the record.

Speaker 10 (34:52):
But we lost.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
But I was like, but he lost. Yes, that had
to be a buildersweet moment. Yeah, a regular season game.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (34:59):
Still it was a bittersweet moment though. I mean it
was a bittersweet all the way around. Because if you
have a chance to do something so significant in terms
of becoming the all time leading Russia, doing something no
other man on the plan has ever done, you have
this vision of how you want it to happen, just
like everyone has a vision how they want their life
to go. Well, in my vision, I had Troy handing

(35:24):
me the football that had Daryl Johnson leading me up
the up the running lane, making the key blocks.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I cut off of them and get the get, get
the get the yardist had.

Speaker 11 (35:31):
Michael even't coming down making the block, and then afterwards
we all celebrated together.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
But that's not life. Life is reality. It's not It
doesn't happen that way. It's not always the way you want.
It's never as perfect as you want it.

Speaker 11 (35:47):
But here's the thing, coming up the sideline and not
knowing how they even celebrated in the middle of a game.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
I never did that before.

Speaker 11 (35:56):
When if I ever's I've never celebrated in the middle
of a game, never seeing the football.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Games just actually stopped for me. And so outside of
being hurt and so coming up the.

Speaker 11 (36:06):
Sideline and celebrating with folks, I run into Darryl Johnson.
Didn't even realize he was at the game. But he
wasn't in uniform. He was calling the game. Weird moment,
but a proud moment because he was so instrumental in
terms of helping me achieve that goal. He wasn't on

(36:28):
the field playing with me, but he was on the
sideline cheering with me Michael on the sideline enthusiastically about it,
because I told Michael my rookie year that I wanted
to become an all time of leader rush. He laughed
at me, But now he's there celebrating with me, understanding
how bad I wanted it.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
James Washington.

Speaker 11 (36:49):
Saw my goalless as a true rookie and saw the
all time leading rush on it.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
So he celebrating with.

Speaker 11 (36:56):
Me because they knew before everyone else how important that
was to be. And so things just didn't work out
in Troy. I know he wanted to be there, he says.
He said that during his retirement speech. I believe he
wanted to be there one day when I break the record.
In his mind, he in his mind, he's like, you're

(37:17):
gonna get it. I know he's gonna get it, and
he wanted to be the guy to hand me the ball.
I wanted him to be that guy too, and so,
but as life would have it, we all leave the
game at different points and times, and nothing is ever perfect,
so we always have to adjust to life accordingly to
where things are.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
Yeah, it was it was super moving to watch you
get it. But I was like, I know, he's such
a team guy too. It's got to be weird that
they didn't win the game. It's like a weird thing.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
It's a weird man. You can't celebrate. How you gonna celebrate.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
That's also when I knew the NFL wasn't rigged, because
they'd have rigged that one for sure if they could have.
I mean, you're here with so what's happening here?

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Yeah, I'm here with Narkan and Emergent.

Speaker 11 (38:03):
We're talking about opioid overdoses and continuing to spread the
word around opioid overdoses, letting people know that even though
the national numbers are dropping a little bit, but here
in New Orleans, these numbers are steady rising, and so
there's more work to be done.

Speaker 10 (38:18):
But we need.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Everyone's help to pay attention.

Speaker 11 (38:21):
Most people walk around, well, I don't do drugs, I
don't do this, I don't do that. But if some
evil threat was to blow something through here that can
take everybody out in a matter of seconds, it would
be fitinale and Fidina can hurt all of us at
one point in time. But this, this rade here, the
North Canon nasal spray is something that can reverse the
opioid overdose.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Effects right away.

Speaker 11 (38:47):
We have a method called lay stay, Lay spray stay,
and that means lay a person down, gently, insert the
nasal spray into someone's nose, give them a couple of
shots there, nine one one, and stay with the person.
We want people to continue to have life the way
that we want it and do it in the most

(39:08):
respectful way, and be able to help and serve another
person if that person.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Is in need.

Speaker 11 (39:15):
There's nothing wrong with being ready and being responsible, and
there is nothing more honorable than to help someone in need.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
Well, I really appreciate the time. Love.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
You got to get one of those rings in some days.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Got to get at least one of them, like out
the Divisit box.

Speaker 10 (39:33):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
I've seen them, I've warned them.

Speaker 11 (39:38):
I'm past that stage. My kids don't even know what
they look like. Seriously, my kids don't even know what
they look like. I had these replicarems in my old
house in my game room.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Oh how big replicareings. They thought those were my That's
another difference. They just don't know the difference.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Bums.

Speaker 8 (39:58):
Can I ask emma one more question? One more question?
When are we going back to the Super Bowl? Come on,
a man, one of the Cowboys going back to the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Bro, Bro, he broughed you, Oh.

Speaker 10 (40:09):
No, Bro, be ready.

Speaker 11 (40:12):
It could be a minute, and a minute could be
a decade.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Okay, all right, all right, thanks and good to say.
You'll be good.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Take care another Dallas Cowboys legend. It was basically Cowboys Day.
This is a guy who I love. I've talked about
him openly a lot. Has become a good friend of mine.
Dion Sanders Coach Prime one of the greatest athletes to
ever play. He obviously was in the NFL, played in
the major leagues, did in the same day as well,
like played baseball for the same day, which is crazy.

(40:43):
He won two Super Bowls, NFL Defensive Player of the Year,
six times First Team All Pro. The list goes on
big thanks to Coach Prime for joining us here.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
He is Deon Sanders way back.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
Please don't rush his interview. Let me take my time.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Thank thank you, thank you very much, thank you very much.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
Yeah, what we were going to do together, I don't.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Know where God stopped.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
I know I do, so you do what you're doing now,
show together.

Speaker 5 (41:10):
I don't know where God stopped.

Speaker 12 (41:11):
It stopped that because it's no way we weren't supposed
to do that.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
What if God didn't stop it?

Speaker 4 (41:17):
What if God was like, this is what he and
he should be doing instead?

Speaker 3 (41:21):
And maybe at some other point I.

Speaker 12 (41:23):
Think I think you're right, because after that, I'm watching.

Speaker 9 (41:26):
You just sore.

Speaker 12 (41:28):
No, you got to be kiddnous guys, I mean everywhere.

Speaker 9 (41:33):
That's my Bobby.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
I felt a little guilty last night because I wanted
to say hi. But you know how the because as
soon as I came over and gave your hug, they
pulled me back. Yeah, because you were sitting on your no,
I know, and I felt the same.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
You tell the people before we go back.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
We spent Let me say this, I was with Kurt
Warner last night and if your nose was it you?
My grandma used to say, like there were You can
always tell how people feel about somebody when they talk
about him and they're not there.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
True.

Speaker 3 (41:58):
And Kurt Warner.

Speaker 5 (42:00):
I love Kurt though Kurt is a great deal.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
Like we were just it was just a Dion LoveFest
and so we were talking about you walk back to say
I'm gonna try to say hi, and uh.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Curt and his wife were excellent.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
We sat with them for two hours last night and
oh my god, came back saw you and Kurt was.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Like, how do you know? How you know Dion?

Speaker 4 (42:19):
And I said, well, he let me sit with him
at lunch the very first I like, I went to
this cattle call. He didn't, Dean didn't have to go
to the cattle call. I went to the cattle call
because nobody even knew who I was by the show, Yeah,
by TV show, and and I said, I'm there with
like I make it to the second day and they
have Dion there with like the real famous people, and
I get elevated from like junior varsity divarsity and nobody.

(42:41):
Everybody had their own clicks. And the person that was
like so inviting was Dion. You could sit here. It's
like the forest Gump scene. And I said, I was like, wow,
I was so not so kind, I said. Then we
just kept working again. It was like felt like we
were just naturally we helew up together.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
I mean it just felt like that we was crocking
in tubs. And then we worked together for weeks and
we did the show. Loved the show. And then they
did they got some executives, changed hands, they shot it,
they shut it down.

Speaker 12 (43:08):
But it was crazy, like we our whole lives are
going to have to change, We're gonna have to relocate.

Speaker 5 (43:15):
And I didn't like that.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
And I didn't like that either.

Speaker 5 (43:17):
I didn't like that either.

Speaker 12 (43:19):
And I just could imagine because I was already thinking
for it, and like, Okay, I'm going to have to
take my son's because you know, because.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
You're coaching them in high school.

Speaker 12 (43:29):
I was coaching, yeah, and I wasn't going to take
my kids and put them in schools in New York.

Speaker 5 (43:32):
And I don't want to do this, like I don't
and it just.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
Fell through and maybe that's why. That's maybe why we
didn't do it right then. Yeah, So I love you
like and you know it's funny, is like the performer
part of you, Like, I understand and I love it.
But when people like start to slander, like the person,
I get upset, like, well, they don't know exactly exactly
that that's what it is, like people.

Speaker 5 (43:56):
Passed for lack of knowledge.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
They don't know, they don't know.

Speaker 4 (43:59):
But but I'm proud of you, man, I'm seeing you sore.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
I'm talking about sore.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
You coaching in the m v P, the softball game.

Speaker 7 (44:07):
That's crazy Oh my god, crazy dominating.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
That wasn't mean that you key in the rules where
everybody played one inning?

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Uh yeah, I mean that's my question. Why did you
keep him in coach?

Speaker 7 (44:16):
Like Bobby ain't leaving and I was.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
Like he was hot, you'd go with a hot hand. Yeah,
Bobbie not only like hitting while I was good fielding
like he was the MVP.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
He was just showing up and showing out and he was.

Speaker 12 (44:28):
You gotta understand, Bobby's a perfectionist and he wants to
do everything right and he wants to achieve and go
to the highest level. So why everybody's there playing a
softball game?

Speaker 5 (44:39):
He was playing? No, No, he was trying all right.

Speaker 13 (44:43):
You wanted to win too, though. You wanted to win
as bad as anybody. Yes, yes, they didn't want to win.
You keep this, I want to win, of course. So
I was like seeing the tall you can sit down and.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
Starts getting hutched back together.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
For that.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
You dominated that game, though, man.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
That's fine.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
Dominated.

Speaker 4 (45:00):
What's what's life like in Colorado? I love it, man,
Like just living life aside from the job, Like, what's.

Speaker 12 (45:07):
It's not even a job, man, It's almost like it's
it's it's fun. It's like going to be We never
know the voice of our navigational systems that we have
on our phone and cars, but it's like I'm the
navigational system for these young men, trying to direct their
paths through this and that, to and fro school relationships, life,

(45:30):
trying to get them to make sure they sustain for
certain things and they don't take advantage of certain things.

Speaker 5 (45:35):
I love it. I love the role that God has
me in.

Speaker 12 (45:38):
I love coaching these young men and being able to
form them and shape them and mold them. I love that,
you know, the last three semesters the highest GP way
over three point zero in the history of the school,
like the high GPA ever for the football team.

Speaker 5 (45:53):
I love all that. Nobody's going to jail, nobody's been incosserrated.
You know. I love it. I love being a coach.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Your office is wide open to anyone.

Speaker 5 (46:02):
No, no, you, I don't play that.

Speaker 12 (46:06):
And you know what else, You can't come in my
office with your shoes on because the carpet is like
that thick and it's beautiful, and you got to.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
Be accompanied by someone. I don't have private meetings.

Speaker 12 (46:16):
I always have someone there just in case, it goes
sideways and you try to claim like this happened, and
this will say it.

Speaker 5 (46:21):
No, no, no. I always have a witness in.

Speaker 12 (46:23):
The room or you're coaching for your position, But if
they schedule a time with me, they can. But some
guys come on you know, Travers come up there every day,
he did. Some guys come whenever they want to because
we've established that relationship. But you got to establish the
relationship to be able to do that.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
When I was growing up, you know, my mom was
an addict and I have a dad, so there were
people that stepped in my life, like youth pastor football coach.
I feel like that's a responsibility that you take with
some of those kids too.

Speaker 5 (46:51):
And I love it. I love it. I mean I
think not just football.

Speaker 12 (46:56):
Some of those kids were called to me, and I
was called to them for their lives, to help them
navigate through the storms and the pain. Because we're gonna
have dysfunctions. It's never a time where everything's gonna be right.
When you have all this together, some bull junk over
there's gonna happen. Then you get that together, that's something
over here is gonna happen. So it's gonna be tribulation,
and I'm thankful that I've been allowed to go through
so much bull junk that I could speak intelligently on

(47:19):
all the stuff that they're going through.

Speaker 5 (47:20):
That's why I'm navigating my sons. When I see Chador sitting.

Speaker 12 (47:23):
Up there and they are coming at him, and he's
sending them the interview, smiling and just giving it to
him and giving it to him professionally, I love it
because we prepare for these moments.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
How do you as a dad, because I think this
is a situation that I'm gonna have because circumstantially we
grew up very similar.

Speaker 5 (47:38):
Right, that's right.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
How do you as a dad because your sons are
not growing up the same way you did?

Speaker 9 (47:45):
Right?

Speaker 3 (47:46):
How do you make sure they have values and they
understand what they have and don't have.

Speaker 12 (47:51):
That use meaning the dog because most of us are
raising cats and not dogs.

Speaker 5 (47:56):
What I mean by that is your circumstances, my circumstances.

Speaker 12 (47:59):
The way we can came up without and what we saw,
what we witnessed, and what scarred us and what prepared
us and kept us and compelled us to get to
the next level. That's our story. Now, when we get
to be parents. We want to chaperon our kids and
we don't want them to go through that, but we
want them to be a dog.

Speaker 5 (48:16):
But we raising cats.

Speaker 12 (48:17):
So you got to make sure you take that cat
over to places that they can be a dog, because
they can't always be a cat. Because now when something
trial and tribulation hit them upside the head, they're not
gonna be to handle it because you've always protected them
and gutted them and that can't be the case. You
got to let them touch that of and so they
find out it's hot every now and and.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Is that hard to do sometimes it let them touch
the other, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
It is, but they got to They got to go
through it.

Speaker 12 (48:42):
And all my kids have gone through things differently at
different ages and stages, and you could just tell me
what happened, and I can tell you which one of
my five kids did it because I know them that
intimately and that psychologically.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
I know them like a book.

Speaker 12 (48:57):
And I know what they can with saying and what
they can and they could grow up in the same
home and be two totally different kids.

Speaker 5 (49:02):
And I have that coach.

Speaker 8 (49:04):
We watched you last night with Bill Belichick at the
NFL Honors he.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Seems kind of like a funny dude, you know.

Speaker 12 (49:11):
Like because away from the game has allowed his personality
to come out. It has allowed him to sit back
and look and say, I'm so intense and I'm doing
this and I'm not enjoying any of these moments. And
when people start passing away like I've had recently the
last couple of weeks, people very close to me, you
start thinking about these moments, man, in these moments you

(49:33):
have left and you want to enjoy and it can't
be all about the challenge and the game.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
It's got to be about life and people.

Speaker 9 (49:39):
Man.

Speaker 5 (49:39):
That's what makes us tech, That's what makes us smile
people in life.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
You talk about your son's playing football, being a basketball dad. Yeah,
with your daughter, yeah, like what.

Speaker 9 (49:47):
I love it.

Speaker 12 (49:48):
And she's learning right now because she made the decision
that she got to stick it out. I was trying
to chaperon her and lead her to certain places, but
she wanted to do it on her own and she
made a good choice. But she has the fight it out.
It's not as simplistic as she thought it was going
to be. So we have some great conversations and I
talking to it the other day, and she said, Dad,
you know, I just start reading the Bible.

Speaker 5 (50:10):
I'm reading Proverbs.

Speaker 12 (50:11):
And I almost cried on the Durant phone because it
seems like it's now. It's happening now, the maturation and
maturity and the understanding and the wisdom is starting to happen.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
So you're here with California almonds.

Speaker 5 (50:24):
I love it. I'm an almond guy, you know, like
you leaning me and win.

Speaker 12 (50:30):
I got to stay leaning mean too, man, I can't
be one of those out of shit did he really play?
So it helps me recover, It keeps me steadfast, keeps
the skin nice and and pretty impresonable. But it helps
me stay during fit and lean because when I'm hungry
at night, hungry out the.

Speaker 5 (50:51):
Day, I just snack on armors.

Speaker 12 (50:52):
Man, I don't get that peanut butter and jealousy, which
like I used to that baloney and cheese, like we
grew up on her.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
Those being an even worry when it.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Hump up, hump up in the middle.

Speaker 3 (51:04):
So you know about that too, Sorry, Yeah, yeah, I
love it, man.

Speaker 12 (51:08):
I you know I always think, Man, you have no
idea how many times I think about what would have
and could have and should it. But from that time
we spent together, we formed the tremendous relationships. And every
time I see you on television or doing anything, even
the tours, you do like that is my god, my god.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
It feels like you don't you don't miss a beat,
you know what I mean? Right, all right, Well, you're
the bell of the ball here, so I'm gonna let
you be the bell. But love your rooting for you,
and thanks for stopping by.

Speaker 5 (51:36):
You know what.

Speaker 12 (51:37):
I gotta get you because I love you looking in
the style of shades you were. I gotta get you
some blenders, but I gotta get a prescription for you
so you you could rock the blenders.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
Now, I don't know what that means.

Speaker 8 (51:50):
Like those truck like bones bones, this could be good.

Speaker 5 (51:56):
See. Oh my god, Oh my god, Jesus, how's the look?

Speaker 13 (52:01):
Oh okay, somebody please take a picture because this is
the look.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
Yeah, yeah, okay, this is the twenty twenty five look.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
This is the new Bobby Bones.

Speaker 12 (52:08):
Look.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
This is I'm gonna I'm gonna send my prescription to
one of your guys, say I'm getting the prescriptions. Yeah,
I got it, And I'm aware I got you. I'm
aware of all right, you go do your thing. Love
you say, I appreciate you.

Speaker 5 (52:19):
This is my brother from another mother.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
I'm meeting Almonds all day, every day for a week.
Please yeah, mere coach primerybody.

Speaker 4 (52:33):
Okay, we just had Terrell Davis, uh and the role
was we needed to recognize him as he walked up.
And this is for Kevin's super Bowl ticket? Eddie, your thoughts?
Would you recognize him?

Speaker 8 (52:46):
I try to act like I couldn't recognize him, that's
my honest opinion.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
But I recognize him.

Speaker 10 (52:50):
Well.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
I think the gold jacket helped too, because you're like
wearing a gold jacket.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
Good looking guy, bald head. Yeah, still look like he
could go, Still looks fit.

Speaker 4 (53:03):
So Kevin, you're listening to us if we both agree
that we recognize him. And I haven't said yet that
I recognize them immediately.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Oh okay, all right, so.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
How did you How did you get him?

Speaker 6 (53:12):
He was walking by him with his team and I said, hey, Terrell,
I got super Bowl ticket on the line here. I
need you for two minutes with my guys over here.
Bobby Bones, Well, we kept them for like fifteen weeks.

Speaker 9 (53:21):
I know.

Speaker 7 (53:22):
No one told us to listen. Listen I'm not done.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
I'm mad.

Speaker 7 (53:26):
I'm not done.

Speaker 9 (53:27):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (53:28):
Turns out his lady, who does his booking, has tried
to get on with us before. She's like, I know,
Bobby Bones. Remember we met her in LA at the
Chargers camp. Do you remember her in the parking lot?

Speaker 7 (53:38):
Of course, Oh my god, I did. It's same lady.
And she's like, oh my gosh. So she's like, he
can stay up there.

Speaker 3 (53:43):
I was.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
I was like, I'll just lie.

Speaker 6 (53:45):
It's read what the Bills were receiver from like the nineties.

Speaker 7 (53:50):
Andre Reid his wife. It's his wife. So it all
worked out.

Speaker 3 (53:54):
Dude, that's crazy. Okay. I absolutely recognized him. I actually
recognized me. Deal, I said, so, okay, yeah, yeah, it's recording.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
I just get Mike, are you sure recording? You know what,
I'm gonna be honest with you. If it wouldn't have been,
I'd have believed it. So definitely recognized him.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
Eddie recognized him.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
He had the gold jacket on Kevin, so Kevin I
will now declare you are going to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (54:25):
What a road from I even got another signature and
another video Cherry on top boys.

Speaker 4 (54:30):
Who's the other signature on the football how you look
at it. Okay, so again, just as a reminder, he
had to get a video of somebody that was famous
promoting twenty five whistles a signature on a football. He
didn't have a football. He had to find a football.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
Okay, here we go, we have the green.

Speaker 7 (54:44):
Look at the signature.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
Yeah, let me say if I can name it.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
So this first one is Logan Ryan who touched football
champ And that looks like Chris Sims NBC.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Wow, Chris Simms, you met Chris Simms, what.

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Like, It's cool? But I don't know if it's wow.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
I thought it was his dad. My bad. I thought
thought Phil Simms.

Speaker 4 (55:01):
And then I thought you were going a little too
hard because Chris Sims doesn't know taking Yeah, yeah, I
agree with Chris Sims. Chris Sims doesn't thought it was
Phil mean as a yes, as an announcer.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
Great. I hate Texas though, So that part of it
major apple White. Chris Sims remember that?

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (55:18):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, So you heard the whole thing.
Because you reacted in such a way I thought you
were lying.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
I'm telling you. I thought it was Phil Simms and
I was like, oh my.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
God, I think Chris Sims does a great job for
the record.

Speaker 4 (55:29):
Okay, for the record, Okay, And then you got another video.

Speaker 7 (55:33):
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. It's the same person.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
But you got another Andrew Whitworth videos.

Speaker 7 (55:38):
It's Chris Simms, but it's a lot better.

Speaker 10 (55:40):
Listen.

Speaker 7 (55:40):
Listen, yo, yo, what's up.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
It's Chris Simms.

Speaker 4 (55:44):
Listen to twenty five whistles wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Peace out right?

Speaker 4 (55:48):
You know what between two Chris Simms is and Andrew Whitworth,
a Logan, Ryan a Cam, Cam Hayward and Terrell Davis.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
You got a super Bowl ticket?

Speaker 6 (56:02):
Let's go all right, Hey, forget the baby, forget the baby,
send me on the scavenger.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Second of all.

Speaker 4 (56:10):
Second of all, he's having a baby, so it sounds
like he's yelling forget the baby.

Speaker 7 (56:15):
Yeah, hey, Alex, I love you. Hey, we got two
babies on the way.

Speaker 9 (56:18):
I love you.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
All right, all right. First of all, I'd like to
say the jacket it just demands respect because it is,
in all seriousness, it is the There are two jackets
that jacket in the green jacket. If you're in the masters,
those are the most elast I'm.

Speaker 10 (56:33):
Trying to think. I think you're right, that's it.

Speaker 14 (56:36):
Yeah, that green Master's jacket is pretty dope, but but yes,
I think this one gets more love. Yeah, when people
see it, you can't help but like to recognize that's
the gold jacket.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Where do you keep it? And then also can't tell
you that? Okay, fair enough, you don't want to.

Speaker 4 (56:56):
Secondly, though, if you get it now, all that company
to you, you do keep it at the house, So
maybe exactly do you send it off to get it
dry cleaned?

Speaker 14 (57:07):
You know, it's a great question, and I had I
did it before.

Speaker 10 (57:13):
I did it a few times.

Speaker 14 (57:15):
And you know, one of my my dry cleaner guy
doesn't even know who I am.

Speaker 10 (57:19):
Like I've been going to him.

Speaker 14 (57:20):
This is this is my guy out of LA And
he didn't know who I was for a long time.
But when he saw the jacket, he couldn't. He was like,
this is a beautiful jacket. He didn't know what what
it was. And he was saying, like this fabric you
can't get anywhere because that's what he was into. And
so I was like, that's cool because he doesn't know.
So I sent it him all the time. He never
asked questions about it other than say it was a

(57:41):
beautiful jacket. Like I don't think he read this. He
just he just cleaned the jacket and never asked any questions.

Speaker 3 (57:46):
And that's who you want to have.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
It doesn't understand, yes, because this is you're going to
do the good stuff to it and not like show
up to their buddies.

Speaker 14 (57:53):
Yea or or hey man, we don't know what happened
to it.

Speaker 8 (57:59):
It's also cool that the fabric is unique in a
jacket like that, like they actually put care into a
jacket like that, not just like here's your gold jacket.

Speaker 14 (58:06):
That's well, that's what they said so last that's what
they could business though.

Speaker 10 (58:10):
I was. I was.

Speaker 3 (58:12):
I was the NFL Honors. That's part of the show
is doing a little presentation.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
And my buddy Jared Allen, who had been passed over
a few times, you know, like a couple of weeks ago,
literally talked to him. He was like, man, like it's
sore spot, like I've been back, and he finally got
it and he got to go on stage last night.

Speaker 3 (58:29):
These kids like what are those?

Speaker 4 (58:31):
What does it feel like to finally be acknowledged And
for you you didn't have to wait, well I waited.

Speaker 10 (58:36):
I waited as long as Jared. Jared wait, No, Jared
only waited what like three years?

Speaker 3 (58:41):
How long did you have to wait?

Speaker 10 (58:43):
Eleven years?

Speaker 14 (58:43):
No?

Speaker 3 (58:44):
Way years?

Speaker 2 (58:45):
Revision is history.

Speaker 3 (58:46):
I feel like you got a year one.

Speaker 10 (58:47):
No, No, I waited.

Speaker 3 (58:51):
Who knocked on your door?

Speaker 2 (58:53):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (58:53):
That's when they had it? Where Who the hut was
the name? Blanking me?

Speaker 3 (59:02):
Do they not not going? Is it they switch?

Speaker 14 (59:04):
Because it wasn't so back then? No, it was David Baker.
David Baker was the who ran the Hall of Fame.
They didn't have it where players did it, so they
only had it where players did it just recently.

Speaker 10 (59:16):
So I had to wait.

Speaker 14 (59:17):
Not only was I waiting to get my name called,
you know, to be a finalist. When I when I
became a finalist, I had to go through another three
years of waiting.

Speaker 10 (59:28):
So you make it to the.

Speaker 14 (59:29):
Top fifteen, that's the finalists, and then you have to
then it goes from fifteen to five and then they
vote on those five to to go in.

Speaker 10 (59:37):
So I waited. I waited a long time.

Speaker 5 (59:38):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
I had no idea. It feels like then, I demand
to recount from year one. Yes, because you should have
got it immediately.

Speaker 14 (59:45):
No, I mean, listen, the bottom line was for me,
I kind of I respected the process and it happened
the way it happened.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
How close was the bus to your real head? Though,
when you look at it.

Speaker 10 (59:56):
Art, it's pretty damn close.

Speaker 9 (59:57):
Man.

Speaker 10 (59:57):
My wife was was right there.

Speaker 14 (59:58):
She was instrumental in can sure that the imperfections were
perfected right, like she wanted to make sure that it
was like me, and she did a great job. Because
what happens is they you sit with your guy he
makes the bus, and then they get they show it
to you and you can come in and watch. So
the first time they do it, you're sitting there for
hours and he's just sitting there with a big old

(01:00:20):
mold of clay and he's going through the stuff. And
then they take it. You go, and then they come
back a week or two later. I asked you to
come back, and my wife came with me the second time,
and then that's when the details were filled in.

Speaker 9 (01:00:32):
So I was.

Speaker 14 (01:00:33):
I was pretty pleased with it, you know, Unlike when
you see some statues, you're like, what the hell?

Speaker 8 (01:00:38):
Yeah, yeah, I look at yourself in the mirror.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
What are you questioning yourself? Do I look? God?

Speaker 14 (01:00:47):
Shoot, I mean who had the statue recently, Bado.

Speaker 10 (01:00:53):
But somebody just came in after him, right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
Uh so Rinaldo had the bad one, and then the
one that was even a real statue, we d Wade.

Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
Wade, Y d Wade one.

Speaker 14 (01:01:06):
That was the other one that was awful. Wait, like,
come on, dude, like respect the people enough to allow
them to see it and have an opinion before you
make it public. And I hope they're going to do
him justice and go redo it.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
It's so permanent.

Speaker 10 (01:01:22):
No, it's gotta go.

Speaker 14 (01:01:24):
I had two final questions should be if they don't
redo that damn statue.

Speaker 8 (01:01:28):
Which one of your teammates do you talk to the most?

Speaker 14 (01:01:32):
Probably a guy named Byron Chamberlain came in with me
in ninety five. He was a tight end. I was
one ninety six. I think he was in the was
seventh rounder. That was my buddy. Still my boy to
this day. Played on the Super Bowl teams with me.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Do you guys meet on the team?

Speaker 14 (01:01:48):
I met him, actually I met his buddy were we
were coming to Denver for a rookie after the draft.
I think it was our rookie symposium or something like that.
A rookie rookie camp. And I saw him at the
airport and he was sitting by. He was just sitting by,
like on a wall, waiting, you know, waiting for somebody.
Now I'm in We're in Denver. It's the only black
dude that's that's on the wall. I'm like, wait a minute,

(01:02:09):
that dude gotta be going where I'm going. Ain't nobody
else black and that dude and he looked like a
football player, And I'm like, this is figure out where
he's going. It's sure enough. He was waiting for the
Broncos bus to pick him up.

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Talking about Cameo for a second.

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
The last thing I want to mention though, is but
do you feel like it gave you an advantage playing
and training in Denver when you played in teams where
the altitude wasn't as high.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Oh yeah, it helped your.

Speaker 14 (01:02:31):
Yeah, because there's no better place to train. And when
you train at altitude and you're you know, you're giving
it everything you got and.

Speaker 10 (01:02:39):
You're you're expanding your lungs.

Speaker 14 (01:02:41):
When we played at sea level, it was it was
so easy to be in the game and just be
at you know, being the ninety percent, you know, basically
like energy wise, like you never had to come down
to sixty to seventy and then no, you feel like
you were always playing pretty high, which helps you on
the field, but the neutralizers would if you played in humidity,

(01:03:02):
you know, that would neutralize the altitude.

Speaker 10 (01:03:04):
I don't care where the hell you where you've trained.

Speaker 14 (01:03:07):
When you go play in humidity and it sucks and
drains all the energy that you you feel it something.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
I'm gonna get a cameo from you what to do?

Speaker 14 (01:03:14):
Yeah, well, so you got you call up. I mean
you know, I know, I got I got to get prior.
I literally have that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
I used cameo.

Speaker 10 (01:03:22):
Where you go.

Speaker 14 (01:03:22):
So just go ahead and book me. Just book me
and say just just say just tell me to say hi.

Speaker 10 (01:03:28):
That's it.

Speaker 14 (01:03:29):
Don't don't have me working, don't have me like some
people don't put a lot of details. Oh my god,
they will still say I'm like to wait a minute,
home boy, like this. This is not a full appearance
like like this, this this made me two different.

Speaker 10 (01:03:41):
You know, asks don't come through the whole list.

Speaker 5 (01:03:44):
Of do you do this?

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
We really appreciate the time.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
Thanks for the jacket.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
The jackets, so sick, so I thank you, big fan,
and I hope you up for great rest of the weekend.

Speaker 10 (01:03:52):
I appreciate me. All right.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Okay, we are in my hotel room at a Saturday evening,
six pm. I'm exhausted for a couple of reasons. One,
we've been on the ROAs since Tuesday, and that's finally
caught up between doing the radio shows and the podcast
and the live shows and that all the interviews.

Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
It's awesome. It's champagne problems for sure. But and then
it was a sick all day yesterday. So yeah, I'm tired.
I could go home right now to come back tomorrow night, absolutely,
like I could have gone home last night to come
back tomorrow night because we did nothing today.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Nothing. I could have stayed in bed all day.

Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
And I kind of did.

Speaker 4 (01:04:31):
The funny thing, I have a half a million views
on an Instagram I put up this morning because my
bathtube is rusted out. Okay, So the funny thing is
my stomachs.

Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
Were killing me.

Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
I mentioned that earlier, and for a whole day it's
been killing me. And food poisoning, which I think people
throw that around pretty loosely. I almost had food poison
I think I had food illness, food not work. It
wasn't violent. When I get food poisoning. Sometimes it's island
and it's headache and it's crazy vomiting. Like I had

(01:05:03):
diary a little bit, but I've just been hurting so
bad for like thirty six.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Hours from the move.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Yeah from MOFA said the bad guy in Lanking.

Speaker 15 (01:05:12):
I saw that when Eddie brought a target and I
was like, I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Like thinking about it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
I was like, no, you hear me, doesn't want to
talk about it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
Kevin still in the fridge. The other half of it
is you want to spend the wheel to see.

Speaker 16 (01:05:25):
Been a way to get a Super Bowl ticket? Eat
the other half of the muffle.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Here we god.

Speaker 4 (01:05:31):
So I posted that video on my Instagram and I
got a bunch of texts like, why are you staying
in such a disgusting room?

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
It's not it's it's a sweet it's fine. It's not,
it's fine. It's fine room.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
I mean, Carl, it's a nice hotel room.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
It's an okay room. But my answer was, we're in
the living room.

Speaker 15 (01:05:54):
We're in the living room of sid room.

Speaker 8 (01:05:57):
I think ours was built in the thirties and it
remained the same way.

Speaker 3 (01:06:02):
My point is there are no rooms, right, so it
doesn't to get any room was going to be difficult.

Speaker 8 (01:06:08):
What's funny is when you go down to like any
kind of front desk and say like hey, like say
your situation, Hey, there's rust in my shower, they'd be
like okay.

Speaker 15 (01:06:17):
And what Yeah, that'll be no extra charge.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
I know.

Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
So I have no complaints about the room I got into.

Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
I took a bath in that thing twice.

Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
That's tough, yes, because my stomach is hurting so bad,
And so I won't say it was from it. It's
from somebody that's pretty famous. And I texted the image
over to Matt Dell, who's here with us and still
and sleeping on the bus, who've been sleeping on the
bus under the overpass for the last three nights, shout out.

Speaker 15 (01:06:46):
I'm having the best experience.

Speaker 4 (01:06:51):
So I texted to Matt, like, I get this text,
I'll just read it to you because it does look
it looks like Dookie in the Bathroube as much as
it does anything else.

Speaker 7 (01:07:01):
I stopped watching the immediately.

Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Yeah, And the person who texted me said, JFC, JFC,
just no.

Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
Jesus, Oh, I got it.

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
That bathtub. Are you in the Hilton question Mark? And
I said, no, that would be a luxury. They have
me in that plank whatever, man, I said, I think
it's the NFL employee rookie hazing, and then he said,
holy f. So I texted up from Matt and I said,
I've made it when a childhood hero has professional compassion

(01:07:33):
for me. So I don't even care. I will not
take a bath anymore. I just want to go home
after the game. I'm tired.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
We got to get home due I'm tired.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
I think if we did God here a day earlier
or a day ago would have been great. But yeah,
that's what's up.

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
I have the Super Bowl tickets.

Speaker 10 (01:07:51):
I met me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:51):
Ask you has a question? We have passes to go
to the pregame concert where post Malone is playing. I
guess nice and we can go to that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Is this a situation where I only have four?

Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
It was it was I only had two, But apparently
there's so many people that are asking me things. I
just say yes to everything smart and then all of
a sudden, I have extras because I've said yes to
what I think is the same thing. But it's multiple people,
so they were like, do you want to go to
the pregame tailgate with post Malone performing Get the Ticket Anywhere?

Speaker 9 (01:08:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
And I was like sure, and they asked me again.
I was like where they told me yes, I'll just
say yes again in case.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
So like reading Kevin.

Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
Both Joe with the packages of tickets, so I have
six of them now. Eddie and I went to the
Commissioner's dinner last night.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Well that was something else that was different.

Speaker 3 (01:08:40):
That was different.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
That's where you.

Speaker 8 (01:08:41):
Walk in and you're like, oh wow, this is something
I've never seen before, Like this is a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
And not a lot of money.

Speaker 4 (01:08:45):
I probably would have been the poorest person in the room,
but Eddie was there. So the owners had their own
like booths with their team logo on it, and it
like circled the stage and it was like each of
the owners of their own booth.

Speaker 8 (01:09:03):
And no one was at the Cowboys booth Mike, so
I told bones, let's just sit there until they kick
us out.

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
But we didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
We didn't know anybody, and so we walked over with
Matt Castle, who I.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
Do my other show with.

Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
And I don't like to be the tagle because that's
like his group, but he was like, I've never been
to this, so I don't know what to do. And
I was like, we'll just go together and eventually one
of us will find comfort and the other person can
get his hang out, and then if anybody wants to bail,
just bail. It's kind of our rule. Well, he found
comfort immediately because with like all the ballplayers. So we
walk up immediately and I spot Belichick.

Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
And I see Matt.

Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
Matt Andaddy were sitting over there, and I said, hey,
Belichick's over here, and he's like, ohky cool. So it
comes over and talks to Belichick and I'm just standing
in this place and the circle like collapsed in front
of me, where I wasn't standing in the circle anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
So I was just like on the outside.

Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
Of the circle, but you're hanging hanging, so like I
was looking over the shoulder end of the circle, and
I was like, you know what, I'm out of here.

Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
So Eddie and I went walking through like a different area. Now.
I took no offense to it, because Matt was great
about it. Hey, this is pop.

Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
But people kept walking in and as soon as that
circle closed, I realized I wasn't cool enough. To be
in that circle. So we went into another section and
it just opened up bigger.

Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
We thought it was like some like sex part.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
It was like a because it was a.

Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
Red tunnel wearing masks. That's what he said. Some guy
came out of it and and somebody said what's back there?
And he goes, well, that's for the v v I ps.
We thought he was serious.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
What does a V stand for?

Speaker 4 (01:10:38):
Eddie goes, this is like that Nicole the eyes white hut.
Immediately I knew what it was, and so we walked back.
But it just opens up and there's another jazz band
on stage and hall of famers everywhere. They have gold jackets.
The hilarious move would have been for me just to
wear a gold jacket. You just to say just the
same color.

Speaker 15 (01:10:53):
Like the mother in law were in white. Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:10:57):
The biggest person that I saw and you, I guess
you saw.

Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
Kevin whenever we were doing the daytime stuff. Andrew Whitworth
is huge monster.

Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
He's like a basketball player, except a football player, like
as thick and big as an offensive lineman.

Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
But he's got to be six seven, yeah, six eight.

Speaker 15 (01:11:16):
And like well proportioned a monster.

Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Oh do you look Tristan, which area.

Speaker 15 (01:11:22):
Mostly bottom half. Got it, and then it made my
way up.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
Got it.

Speaker 8 (01:11:27):
So when you do look at the sea of people,
he's his head is above everyone else.

Speaker 3 (01:11:32):
When you look at the sea of big people, Yeah,
his head was above everybody else. So at this point
we know nobody and so no one.

Speaker 4 (01:11:41):
We're just walking through and there's I can't eat and
the stomach's bad, and.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
I think Eddie's eating a little bit. I wish I
could have like eating something.

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
And somebody comes up to me around the corner and
grabs me and hugs me, and I don't see well,
and so I just it's just a woman and she's like, oh,
so I just fake for a second like I know
who it is, and she pulls back and it ends
up being LeeAnne Tooey, who is.

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
The blindside bullocks well not saying. And so I know
the Tuy's pretty well, and I know I know their
son really well. He's a close friend.

Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
I mean he's as close as friend as you can
be without being like a main main close friend, Like
we talked two three times a week. And he's now
like one of the uh part of the administration at
Oral Roberts like he's eventually gonna be a big athletic director,
but he was at UCF. I met him at Arkansas
when he was a grad assistant. That's how I met him.
On a golf cart, right, he picked me up and
then I didn't know he was the kid from the

(01:12:37):
freaking blind Side.

Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
And then afterwards and was like, you know that kid
s J. And I was like the GA.

Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
It's like, yeah, that's the Blindside kid, and I was
like the actor and they were like, no, the actual one.
I was like, oh, how about that? And so we
just stayed in touch. But we talked that for half
an hour.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Oh yeah, we did awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:12:59):
And not only that, and I would never reveal things
that I can't reveal. It was an awesome conversation because
they were giving us some dirt even on like.

Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
Even on like coaching stuff. So it was good.

Speaker 4 (01:13:17):
I like them anyway, and usually I would feel bad
that I'm keeping someone because I was like, if you
guys want to go back, get back to your other.

Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Rich people, you should nobody like you. Like we talked forever, dude,
I was in all the dirt on coaches, athletic directors NFL.
It was awesome, nice, because he Jay's dad called the Griz.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
He was the announcer.

Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
Yeah, play by play guy from Memphis.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Yeah, really right?

Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
He was not maybe color now he had to be
play by play or announcer one of the things. I
think it's their TV color guy. One time though, I said, Hey,
who's your favorite color guy? And I said, my favorite
color guy is Frank Thomas and I think it was
Ryan Hurd. Yeah, And it was like, what you can't
say that?

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
I said color analysts should rank him.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
Yes, I was.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Shocked. I did not know what he was talking about.
I was like, Frank Tomas was my favorite color guy,
said I didn't think. And Ryan's like, and I mean, like,
what are you talking about? And it only took for
him to go to I was like, oh no, no, no, not.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
Color Commentary. So I kind of felt bad because I
had passes last night to go to.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Travis Scott.

Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
No, well, I had those. I didn't want to go
Travis Scott. I don't care about Traviscott. I don't even
know a song.

Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
No, I don't know it. Yeah, hey we know those.

Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
But we had Blake wanted to Megan Stallion, we could
have gone to that.

Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
I love Megan Stallion, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
But I did say Eddie and I's name.

Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Eddie and I's name were on the list, so I
sent it to Eddie and I was like, your name's
on you can go by yourself. I don't and I
guess you didn't go.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
We didn't go.

Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
Now there's no you can't take anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Well, that's probably why I was going to be Bobby.

Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Interesting, because I bet you get so crowded. They wouldn't
check an ID.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
Yes could.

Speaker 15 (01:15:12):
Yeah, they were probably pretty lax.

Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
Yeah what hmmm, probably, but it was vip entrance.

Speaker 15 (01:15:18):
It was worth a shot.

Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
I don't know, man, I would have been my aready
for taking the shot.

Speaker 6 (01:15:22):
Were yeah, we're going to but I think by the
time we met up it was only like an hour left,
and we're like, you know what.

Speaker 8 (01:15:26):
By the time we get there, won't even Honestly, the
way to get into all these things is pretty legit,
Like they just scan your face and Okay, there you are,
Eddie Garcia, You're good to go. Like, I don't think
you can fake anything really, Like if it scanned chemist's
face is like, you are not Bobby Bones, get out
of here.

Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Yeah, I guess it's extra secure. I tell you, if
this were like a normal Thursday night or Friday night
and I were walking in some of the places in
New Orleans. I was walking last night and it wasn't
Super Bowl weekend, I would not feel safe. Yeah, but
it's feels so safe here now.

Speaker 9 (01:15:56):
This place is yeah, lougged down.

Speaker 5 (01:15:58):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
There's a national was hard everywhere everywhere?

Speaker 8 (01:16:06):
Did were you woken up by marching band this morning? Okay,
there's a parade going right by our hotel.

Speaker 16 (01:16:12):
Really, they do that every morning in New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
And then I remember no rooster, just brass band, the.

Speaker 15 (01:16:20):
Second line brass.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Remember there in the street the band go.

Speaker 8 (01:16:24):
And then I was like, all right, let me try
to go back to sleep, and I did, and I
fell back to sleep, and I woke up and like, hey, Kevin,
I think they're done. And then as soon as I
said that, I heard the MC go we're just getting started.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Alright, that happened to you.

Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
I did not have its rooster. How far are you
guys from this hotel?

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Two blocks?

Speaker 4 (01:16:48):
So we left. I felt bad. I told it as
a dump stuf. Sorry, I just don't feel good. I
was feeling worse than I was going and he was like,
all good, all good. So we got way dressed up,
did the thing. We don't really know anybody that. I
don't know if anything happened last night. It was a
very I probably shouldn't have been invited. Not that I
showed up and was improper, but I everybody there was

(01:17:13):
like a.

Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
Player, an owner, like some kind of exact old and rich.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
I mean it was from a GM.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
It was that kind of crowd where you look around
and you go, dude, which one does belongs?

Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Yeah, so we met the medical We met the medical doctor.

Speaker 4 (01:17:29):
The head of NFL Medical who lives by us in Nashville.

Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
Because his wife comes up to me.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
He goes, I'm a huge fan, and I was like,
thank you for just talking to me because nobody was
talking about Yes, that was exactly what it was. She
was like, I'm sorry, I'm talking your ear off. I'm like,
I just want to talk to somebody like they please
stay with us. But she's like, yeah, my husband was up.
She said, my husband, uh works at Vandy and has

(01:17:56):
been ahead of a bunch of sports teams and is
now head of Medical c CMO of the.

Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
NFL Chief Medical Officer.

Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
Thank you, Edie.

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Thank you, sir, you got it.

Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
And so he's in New York a lot at the office,
but they could live in Nashville. When we talked to
them for probably fifteen minutes or so, and we're walking
out and I saw Jared Allen, who was a monster
and I hadn't met him, probably like a month ago,
when he came over to the house to do the
other show.

Speaker 3 (01:18:26):
Huge personality, had a cowboy hat on.

Speaker 4 (01:18:29):
Yes, and he got and so when he came over
and did lots to say, I didn't know how sensitive
the Hall of Fame was to him. And I started
the interview with dude des suction on the Hall of
Fame like I didn't know. Ooh, I'm glad I didn't know,
because I wouldn't have got the good stuff. And I
think at times, like I know artists so well in Nashville,

(01:18:51):
there are places that I won't go because I'm sensitive
to knowing them. Like I wouldn't ask Still about his
recent circumcision because I know that's still sensitive to him,
and it's actually sensitive physically, yes, but I'm like literally.

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
Yes, yeah, I started the interview in a very physical sense.
It sucks, you know, on the Hall of Fame and
he went off like twenty minutes. And so he got
in that night before, and so I went up and
I was like, I don't want to bother him.

Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
I was like, dude, I'm so happy. And him and
his wife are around and we talked for like ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
He's huge. And then I was like, do you see
drones over your house? That was literally what I was saying.
Oh no, dude, because they live right by me.

Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
They say yes.

Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
She said that she didn't know there were drones. She
was I got that.

Speaker 4 (01:19:36):
And then we had some other we worked through theories,
but I was super happy he got in the Hall
of Fame.

Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:19:41):
And then we walked back and I went to bed.

Speaker 8 (01:19:44):
How does real quick about the Hall of Fame thing? Like,
how does that work? Like you know you're eventually going
to get in?

Speaker 9 (01:19:49):
No.

Speaker 4 (01:19:50):
So the crazy thing was Vinitary did not get in.
Everyone expected Vinitary. Kevin's crying. You mentioned a freaking Patriot.
He starts crying.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
You know, did you know Chalty's up next year?

Speaker 15 (01:19:59):
I yeah, they'll make it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
No, I don't year one anyway?

Speaker 15 (01:20:05):
Yeah no, I mean they got to kickers got to
pay their dues.

Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
I think I was surprised that Venitary didn't make it.
Year one.

Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
I was mediumly surprised that Eli didn't make it for
a couple of reasons. One, he's got two super Bowl MVPs,
two super Bowl championships, top ten passing al too.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
You know he's got and he has the Manning name.

Speaker 4 (01:20:27):
But take it away, he's still got two super Bowl
and two super Bowl MVPs.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
So I was surprised he didn't get in.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
Not nearest surprises that Venitary didn't get it, because I
thought that was an automatic. They only let four people in.
It was a very small class. Yeah, that's it's the
hardest to get in. And I believe is it a
percentage of the voters has you have to be a
percentage up?

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Is what it is.

Speaker 4 (01:20:52):
And they used to show up and let you know
in a certain way. But I don't think Jared would
care that I say this, Like they let Jared know
like a week ago. Everybody got to know like a
week ago, but they couldn't say anything and told the
announce of it and he and you know, so who
I think one of his old teammates or something showed

(01:21:12):
up and to his house and was like, you're in
the Hall of Fame and it was big.

Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
I think his kid was there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:16):
He has a ten year old, and because his kid
saw it, he said, my kid had to sign an NDA.

Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
My ten year old did sure?

Speaker 16 (01:21:20):
Wait wait a minute, the your ten year old had
to sign in NDIA. But we just told a story
on the podcast.

Speaker 5 (01:21:26):
I get.

Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
No, it was you can't say it before it comes.

Speaker 9 (01:21:29):
Out, before it comes out.

Speaker 3 (01:21:30):
Yeah, we got just a surprise. Yeah, now it's fine.

Speaker 15 (01:21:33):
Actually here's this NDA.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
I didn't sign anything.

Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
Now it's fine. Now it's fine. So we talked to
him and then we walked back to the room and
I went to bed. And then I saw Emmitt Smith
dancing on Mike D's nice Instagram story and it was
so close. I thought Mike D was dancing.

Speaker 4 (01:21:53):
With Emmett for a second until he did the finger
zoom out. He just assumed way and I thought Mike
D was dancing with Emmitt Smith.

Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
That post line? So who went to post? Malone?

Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
You? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
You did? Uh retake a microphone? Do you guys go together?

Speaker 17 (01:22:09):
Uh? No, I didn't even know Matt was there, to
be honest, we.

Speaker 9 (01:22:12):
Met in the casino afterwards.

Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
So how did you get in? I just had a
good friend that had a ticket or were you on
the list yourself? Yeah, I don't know how people get on.

Speaker 9 (01:22:20):
List that it was through book an agent.

Speaker 3 (01:22:22):
It was like, I'll probably say similar to mine then
because you t put me on that kind of crap. Mean,
but yeah you changed dang.

Speaker 16 (01:22:30):
Yeah, only because my my agent left U t A
in the business all together.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
But yeah, shouting druma shout out to me for hooking
it up.

Speaker 9 (01:22:39):
Doug Neff, thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:22:40):
We were on this. We were I left c A.
We had U t A only because Matt was over
there and then Matt leaves.

Speaker 15 (01:22:47):
I just found out, Oh man, I'm gonna you just
signed that NDA.

Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
Dang it? How read? What was the party?

Speaker 14 (01:22:53):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Who were you with?

Speaker 17 (01:22:53):
So I was with Mike d We actually went and
showed up and we're like, okay, I think I really
had to go to the bathrooms.

Speaker 5 (01:22:58):
We're like, we'll just wait.

Speaker 4 (01:22:59):
So you tickets. You weren't like on a VIP list,
So this is okay, good. So this would have been
the difference in you guy, Eddie, you going to that
party last night?

Speaker 3 (01:23:07):
Going on it back way? What was it like to
get into this thing?

Speaker 15 (01:23:10):
It was absolutely terrible.

Speaker 17 (01:23:13):
We were in a line that was legitimately half a
mile long around. We could have just we walked up
to the entrance and he was like, yeah, the QR
code line is right here.

Speaker 3 (01:23:22):
We're like, oh, all right, that's cool, so we walked.

Speaker 9 (01:23:24):
We could have literally just.

Speaker 17 (01:23:25):
Turned around and then got in line, and then we
would have a ticket around badge or was it just
a QR code ticket you scan on your oh and
you forget, I gotta go it. Yeah, but it was
like three thousand people and.

Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
How long until you got in?

Speaker 17 (01:23:38):
It was a little over an hour?

Speaker 16 (01:23:41):
Yeah, dude, See I would not have done that.

Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
I would imagine Mike, you're a massive Postal Loan fan.
So was it worth the hour? Yeah? I didn't care
about waiting, but it did suck because we kept going
and they we were like, surely the line will in here.

Speaker 3 (01:23:52):
No, all the way around. We made some friends in line.

Speaker 9 (01:23:55):
It was fine.

Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
It's like six flags and you get up to the front,
except when you turn the corner, it's not actually the front,
and it's the wrap around.

Speaker 16 (01:24:00):
Where it's it's I walked up there when they were
first like queuing up on my way to supper, and
it looked like the worst morning you've ever.

Speaker 9 (01:24:11):
Had at TSA. Oh yeah it.

Speaker 16 (01:24:14):
Was because it's right there at the casino, So it
was just like what I saw.

Speaker 9 (01:24:17):
It was just right. It was just like down the
block in a row.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
Mister wm me, how did you get in differently than that?

Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Did you go to whatever? Like the drop off point was?
But like this is the drop off point going there?

Speaker 9 (01:24:33):
They just had it. I was I was late. I
think he started at nine thirty. I didn't get there
like nine forty five.

Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
That's so funny. He's like I got into different So
read how was the show?

Speaker 7 (01:24:44):
Like this was really good?

Speaker 3 (01:24:45):
Was it just him or somebody before him?

Speaker 9 (01:24:48):
No, it was it was just him.

Speaker 15 (01:24:49):
He brought out jelly roll. That was really cool.

Speaker 17 (01:24:51):
To be honest, I only stayed for like twenty five
minutes because that was going to meet up with them.

Speaker 9 (01:24:54):
In the casino.

Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
You say by yourself, like yeah, and but it was
really good.

Speaker 17 (01:24:58):
Like I ran into Young Gray on my way.

Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
Out, as in you literally bumped him.

Speaker 17 (01:25:03):
Yeah, Like I literally bumped him, Like I was on
my way out and there was nobody there, like where
the bar is and it was just him and some
girl that were walking in by himself.

Speaker 5 (01:25:11):
He's like, what's up, gravy?

Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
Do you say that like that?

Speaker 10 (01:25:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
Just in your head? Yeah? And little Dicky Mike, how long?
How long was the performance? Al And he play hit?
He played country stuff, hip hip hop stuff? Was that good?

Speaker 9 (01:25:25):
Show?

Speaker 16 (01:25:26):
Was that in the theater kind of? It was just standing.
It was like a standing theater. Then they had bleacher
seating on becoming both sides.

Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
Was the sound appropriate for a concert?

Speaker 10 (01:25:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
It was.

Speaker 9 (01:25:37):
Actually it was quiet. It was good sound.

Speaker 4 (01:25:40):
So it wasn't like a quickly built together stage where
it sounds terrible.

Speaker 9 (01:25:43):
No, no, and it was all there.

Speaker 16 (01:25:46):
I did not notice a track, like everything was coming
off stage, like even even he had a couple of
background singers on there to sing kind of the like
trappy parts, but like Derek Wells was playing guitar, and.

Speaker 9 (01:25:57):
Uh, what's the kid that wrote Channel? I had some help. Yeah,
I was playing steel for him. Ben was great. It
sounded really good.

Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
Did you stay until that? You both stay to the end?

Speaker 9 (01:26:06):
You stay the end. I left a little early. I left.
I left after maybe one song left though.

Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Was it hard to get out? That was fine.

Speaker 9 (01:26:15):
It was hard for me to get out.

Speaker 3 (01:26:16):
Because you too tangled up.

Speaker 17 (01:26:20):
I mean, we already got deep in there, so then
trying to get out. Man, it's like you're squeezing through people.

Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
Okay, here's a question. Don't go to a break or
kind of just keep going. Okay, hypothetical question, and I'll
ask it to read. You can give Eddie the microphone
back now, thank you, thank you read.

Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
We're limited microphone.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
Hypothetical question.

Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
If somebody calls you today and says, I got you
one thousand dollars I'm going to give you in one hour,
sounds pretty cool. Huh yeah for nothing. I have a
thousand dollars I'm going to give you in an hour.

Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
What's catch? No catch?

Speaker 4 (01:26:54):
You just get it and there is no catch. There's
one thousand dollars, you get it and fifteen hour, minutes
and fifty nine seconds and I'll be right over there
to give it to you.

Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
You kind of get excited.

Speaker 15 (01:27:04):
Yeah, right, I'm getting excited, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:27:06):
Like yeah, Let's say the person shows up in fifty
nine minutes of nine seconds, knocks on the door, and then.

Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
Goes, oh, crap, I messed up. Here's a one hundred dollars.

Speaker 8 (01:27:17):
No, no, I feel like this is an analogy expected value.

Speaker 15 (01:27:22):
This is so parable. I don't like where this is going.

Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
What happens?

Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
So are you a grateful for the hundred dollars that
you didn't have before the day started anyway, because you
didn't have one hundred dollars before fifty nine minutes and
fifty nine seconds ago, nor the thought of an extra
hundred dollars, But because someone said, hey I got a
thousand dollars, that hundred hits a bit different. Are you

(01:27:50):
a more excited you got a free hundred or more
upset that you didn't get the thousand?

Speaker 2 (01:27:55):
Be extremely upset that I didn't get the hundred thousand.

Speaker 4 (01:27:59):
There's no one hundred thousands in my mind, zeros over here.

Speaker 8 (01:28:07):
It's very disappointing that I didn't get a thousand, Like
you get me a hundred dollars? Like why do you
even tell me there was a thousand in there? Keep
the hundred get out of my face.

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
So your disappointment, yes, because even though there was no
hundred dollars, Yeah, you.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
Told me you were gonna be hearing anap fifty nine seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
And say hey, I got three hundred bucks for you.
Would you like that? That's different? A great day one
hundred thousand. I think that's it all off, though, because
you like really were exactly like, wow, it's a lot
of money. Okay, take a breath, Kevin, your thoughts.

Speaker 6 (01:28:36):
Yeah, I'm with Eddie. This is like another form of
blue balls. Basically, like you think you're getting something and
then it's only one hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:28:41):
So you're getting more than you ever thought you were.

Speaker 6 (01:28:44):
Yeah, but you're when you're when your mindset is like
I'm getting this, and this is what you get. You're
grateful maybe after the fact, but initially you're like, man,
I was ready, and.

Speaker 8 (01:28:55):
You're never grateful that you got one hundred dollars because
you're supposed to get a thousand.

Speaker 3 (01:28:59):
But I would be grateful, but.

Speaker 15 (01:29:01):
It just might take some time though, Matt. I don't know.

Speaker 16 (01:29:05):
I think I might disagree. Like I would be like, oh, okay,
you know, yes, would I rather have one thousand dollars? Yes,
however one hundred dollars it's okay too.

Speaker 2 (01:29:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
I think I would be that way as well. It
would take just a split second of reframing my mind.
It's like, oh, I want to get a thousand, Oh
oh it's only a hundred. Well, I guess I was
never even getting a hundred, so it's gonna be awesome.
So anyway, there's no reason I told that story.

Speaker 16 (01:29:29):
No, oh my god, I thought I was about to
get my super Bowl ticket.

Speaker 4 (01:29:33):
Right now, here's the thing you all are. But anyway,
so what made you think of that? Now I'm about
to tell you the real story as to why I
thought of it. So I've been tracking down trying to
find Kevin's ticket which to get into like the standing
roomish places, it's like three thousand dollars if you want

(01:29:55):
a ticket ticket it's like thirty to four thousand and five.
I got to find him a ticket whatever going through this.
He even was so kind to sent me a bunch
of links to get him tickets.

Speaker 3 (01:30:03):
That was hilarious. He was like, like, here you go.
They really it's just like listening. He was like, here's
step up, here's like I know the places in case.

Speaker 16 (01:30:14):
I just figured you would be alone with your thoughts
and your phone a lot. Yes, you don't want to
quit playing candy Crush or let me streamline it for
you a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:30:23):
So they sent me a whole page of links, just
Apple page. So I have all the tickets by the way,
so that nobody's not getting a ticket.

Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
Yes, the new development is because I did NFL Honors,
which this wasn't my understanding. They gave me two tickets
for doing honors. It was one of those things like
these these tailgate passes where I just said yes to
everything and didn't know I was getting multiple tickets. So
I have six tickets. Now, whoa, whoa, Well.

Speaker 3 (01:30:54):
There are six of us, so it works. Yeah, yeah,
Eddie's looking to bring somebody out.

Speaker 16 (01:31:00):
But my calculations appropriate amount of tickets for you.

Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
But it means that, but it means i'd like Matt,
Matt's going down Kevins go to spend money on the ticket.

Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
I have six.

Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
However, I hit.

Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
You with the analogy. I'm about to get to the analogy,
but go ahead.

Speaker 8 (01:31:17):
Because you did NFL Honors, which is a very exclusive.

Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
Uh like to do it on the show on telegray.

Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
Job a plus job up there. Got these seats.

Speaker 5 (01:31:28):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:31:28):
So here's the thing. Here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
No, okay, okay, So the six tickets that I got,
the four that I knew I was getting, which was
the four that we have been fighting over. Uh, they
were like they're gonna be great seats and down in
the lower bowl there like it might be down the
corner or it'll be in the lower bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
They don't have the lower bowl. They're like top of
the stadium. Oh oh yeah, So.

Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
They did the thousand dollars things they did.

Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
Go, Now, if you were gonna looked at it, you
gonna buy them online. It's thirty two hundred dollars a ticket. Right,
it's still in in this dome. I'm not I've not
eve been in this dome.

Speaker 9 (01:32:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (01:32:04):
I was here for the Sugar Bowl when we were
played a house state here actually Mallet.

Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
Yeah, we lost that game, right, yeah, but.

Speaker 9 (01:32:10):
They had to vacate it. So I not won the table.

Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
We don't get that. We don't get to win on
that though.

Speaker 9 (01:32:14):
No, that's true.

Speaker 16 (01:32:15):
But I did get to come to New Orleans and
be absolutely idiots.

Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
And the same the same stadium though, right, this one
kind of does it kind of sit taller, and yeah,
it's great and there's no such Listen, when someone goes
there's not a bad seat in the house, they're lying
because it no matter what the house is, there are
seats that are Yeah, but they were acting like this
dome's a little different where it's not as bad up.
So for the tickets are the one hundred dollars, but

(01:32:38):
you guys didn't where the tickets were anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:32:40):
No, no, you weren't even guarantee it.

Speaker 15 (01:32:41):
You really could have kept that to yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
To me, it was one thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
Yeah, and my and Jerry, who you guys know, My
agent was pissed. He was calling people today going these
tickets suck, and I'm like, dude, dude.

Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
We're good.

Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Yeah, like there's no need to fight for something that
we're in the door.

Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
So the other two that from Honors, they're mid not
lowerble no, yeah, like three, like level three or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
So we're four and two instead of being Kevin by himself,
Matt by himself and which is great. Yeah, so we
have to like pass out the tickets, but somebody can
go with me and set a little closer.

Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
It's not a whole lot.

Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
I'll do that. I'll talk about I didn't do that.

Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
And then we have six of these tailgate passes which
kind of happened the same way, which is uh tailgate
super Dome one thirty to four pm.

Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
That's a nice.

Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
Private party, admits one. Yeah, it's a ticket.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Listen to it.

Speaker 15 (01:33:46):
That things real buzzy. You whip your kids with it
with it?

Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
Yeah, yep, So that's where that's where we are as
far as the super Bowl. Now, the beginning of the show,
we talked because what we're going to do is we
recorded all this and we were doing the post super
Bow at the very beginning of this, so you heard
everything that we haven't seen yet.

Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
But that's the situation.

Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
I want to get everybody their tickets individually tonight while
we're in the same room because the transferring is always
weird trying to transfer tickets, and then let me look
at my notes, say there's anything else.

Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
I think I'm good.

Speaker 4 (01:34:19):
We did become friends with Kurt Warner and his wife.
I mentioned that in the other part.

Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
We talked a little bit about it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (01:34:24):
Yeah, we saw my Starbucks this morning.

Speaker 5 (01:34:26):
You did.

Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
Yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 9 (01:34:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:34:28):
He was waiting for his coffee along with other people,
and I was just like, cool, that's a cool story.

Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:34:35):
We met the Trophy last night.

Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
We did meet the Trophy. He was really nice.

Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
Yeah, we're very nice. Didn't talk a lot. You know.

Speaker 3 (01:34:42):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
The Lombardi for the Hunt the Lombardi is the main trophy. Yeah, yeah,
what's the hunt AFC is what it is? Yeah, okay,
So you could go up and take a picture beside
it and you couldn't touch it, and someone had to
take the picture for you. But the person that was
taking the picture was like a sixty two year old
white man who did not know how to take a picture.

Speaker 16 (01:35:05):
He was operating iPhones. Yes, bro, that is just a misstake.

Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
The picture I have of it, I didn't even want
to post it. I had to do Tokyo filter so
it looks halfway decent. Yeah, and that's like total gray,
so it's not good.

Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
I haven't even looked at mine.

Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Oh no, Papa was running the digital the depatman.

Speaker 15 (01:35:25):
That is just a bad fit. Yes, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:35:28):
I think he was protecting it, but he was also
being photographer. Any other thoughts. We met Belichick's girls with him.
She's twenty four, like in person four.

Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
She's very pretty good for coach.

Speaker 16 (01:35:39):
That just goes to show you that if you try
hard and believe in yourself and you work very hard,
success can open up doors you never imagined. Because Bill
Belichick could not take that picture. Right now, he is
dating someone that could take the picture.

Speaker 4 (01:35:54):
Did you see the picture they took with all the rings?
He had all his rings on I think in maybe
seven or eight, because he has also the when he
was coordinator Super Bowl rings and she had her championship
ring on, but it was from cheerleading in college.

Speaker 3 (01:36:06):
She was like, we all have a championship rings. She
won a national championship. I thought that's pretty cool, that's cool.
We saw Davis No no, no r I p L dude,
David's son, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mark and Mark. Yeah, the
banks Davis.

Speaker 4 (01:36:28):
Yes, and it's exactly there's a trip. You see him
and you're like, oh, that's real.

Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
That's that's real. Yeah, And they're cut perfectly.

Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
It's he has this has to have a like a stylist.
He does it exactly how he wants, not even somebody
who accidentally did that, but who does it exactly like that?

Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
So who that's Mark? Mike Mark, Mark Mark.

Speaker 16 (01:36:49):
I want to know, Like when his house goes up
for sale and the zillow hits the market, I want
to see what does what that that tasted haircut manifests
itself into square footage, Like I want to.

Speaker 4 (01:37:01):
See what looks like inside of all that, it feels like.

Speaker 15 (01:37:04):
A golden lion fountain as.

Speaker 16 (01:37:06):
You walk in, you know, I feel like there would
be some like Doctor Phil, remember Doctor Phil's house. No,
it was wild, like like Alice in Wonderland.

Speaker 9 (01:37:18):
It was like the Zillow listing or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:37:20):
We went.

Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
To the he's a minority owner of the Steelers.

Speaker 16 (01:37:27):
He bro you're on a you're gonna get canceled with
this minority this and color that fair enough?

Speaker 15 (01:37:34):
Can we clean it up?

Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
He's a part owner.

Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
Let's just say he's he The Steelers have a majority
owner and I think he's the second owner. So it's
a minority owner of the Steeler.

Speaker 1 (01:37:45):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:37:45):
So we went to his to his house and he
lives on one of his houses. Yeah, he has two hours,
so he lives on Disney in Disneyland. So there's a
neighborhood in Disneyland and each house millions millions millions and
bought two of them upside each other.

Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
And you go into one of the houses. We took pictures.

Speaker 4 (01:38:04):
I can say this only Jared Allenson and I signed
NDA's and we're done with that. At this point, he
has the ride in his house that's at Disney The
Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion. You can get in it
and it's like the elevator, eh, the ride.

Speaker 2 (01:38:18):
He has, the one where the room closes in on you, and.

Speaker 15 (01:38:21):
Yeah, I'm out on that, but that's awesome that he has.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
Every room is seemed a different you can go into,
like the Lion King.

Speaker 2 (01:38:29):
The Toy Story Room, Star Wars.

Speaker 4 (01:38:32):
Of them things opened, the bedrooms crazy amazing. It's unlike
anything I've ever seen, like literally a house, but it's
like their second house next to their other house. And
I would bet each house is worth ten million dollars.
And that's the party house. And we went in Eddie
Saws and Pappy van Wik went right at it. I've
never seen it before and he was like, I'm getting it.
Started drinking in out of the red Solo cup.

Speaker 16 (01:38:55):
See, I feel like that's an allegory for our lives. Yes,
you know, we'll go high low on. We have a
taste for the final things. But we hadn't forget where
we come from.

Speaker 4 (01:39:04):
That's right, That's why I did not complain about my
breasted tub.

Speaker 3 (01:39:09):
So, okay, we're done.

Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
Thank you for listening to this podcast.

Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
And I'm tired it's been a trip, man.

Speaker 2 (01:39:19):
But I am New Orleans doubts. I am ready to
go home. One more day, though, one more day.

Speaker 4 (01:39:24):
I don't like New Orleans. I like the local people
of New Orleans. But here's why I don't like New Orleans.
I can't eat anything.

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
Yeah, that's a lot of fright stuff.

Speaker 9 (01:39:30):
I've eaten everything.

Speaker 3 (01:39:31):
It's nice, just knows the fight.

Speaker 8 (01:39:35):
But everything's fried, Like even like a salad that I
got a sally that is fry every ding.

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
Yeah, it was like everything I've gotten. I'm like, that
looks kind of healthy. Oh it's frid okay, got it?

Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
Yeah, that's just how they do it here, man.

Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
So I love the people.

Speaker 4 (01:39:48):
I met a lot of listeners here that are actual locals,
mostly that are working, so go places.

Speaker 3 (01:39:54):
Andy'd be like, what a cops cops? A couple of
cops here, A couple of cops. So I love that.

Speaker 4 (01:39:59):
But the city makes me not feel good. Yeah, so
it's not my favorite when it comes to that.

Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
I love it though.

Speaker 15 (01:40:07):
I'm just like a pig and ship over here. I
love the city.

Speaker 16 (01:40:10):
I eat the stuff though, I can eat everything I had.
I had pork cheeks for lunch with you, yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
I ate and nowhere we took care of your meal.

Speaker 3 (01:40:20):
Yeah, we ordered and I did order them. Oh yeah,
did I tell that story here?

Speaker 15 (01:40:25):
You did not imaginary?

Speaker 8 (01:40:27):
And when you finish your story, we'll tell you our
side of the story was really which is really funny.

Speaker 2 (01:40:31):
