Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Best Bits of the Week with Morgan, Part.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
One, behind a scene with a member of the show.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome to the weekend, everybody. It's Best Bits time, and
Amy is joining me.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hey Amy, I'm Morgan.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
It's a little weird weekend here. We're doing it on zoom.
Amy and I have never done best Bits on zoom.
We've always managed to do it in person. But I
am out with Vertigo. So if I sound a little
weird this weekend, just roll with it. We're doing the
best we can every year.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Like, it's not me, it's the Vertigo.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yes, if I say anything weird, I'm not held accountable.
It is all Vertigo. But Amy, you talked about something
on the show this week.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Well, I didn't know we were talking about it.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
If I need the details, So Amy has a boyfriend?
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yes, Well, I mean that's pretty much all we said.
So I'll leave it at that for now and then
give details. I just kind of thought I was. I
feel like it's a little bit of a curve ball.
But I don't know what details to give later because
like I didn't even I feel like saying something on
my podcast and saying that I'm dating somebody is very
(01:10):
different than like the big show. And when it comes
to details, I mean me saying that I have a boyfriend,
that's totally fine, but I mean I didn't even get
a chance to really to talk to him, like, hey,
this is happening, you know. Yeah, so okay, so you know,
the details are still out, like of just I think
(01:31):
we'll share more, but you know, he has three kids
and you know very yeah it's exciting. Yeah. So yeah.
I don't know what else to say other than was
that awkward for you to hear?
Speaker 1 (01:47):
No? No? But I was like, oh, wait, she did it.
But also like I was kind of like, this is
a bigger announcement. Why is it along with these voicemails?
But I get that it came in as a voicemail
because you mentioned it on your podcast, But I was
just like, this is a this is huge. Why are
we not talking about this more? Why do we Why
is there not like a segment, a full segment on this.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, I'm not sure, but also I think in that
I would be prepared to share a little bit more. Yeah,
since it just kind of came in as that voicemail,
I that's just that's what it is, Like, that's what
we'll share, because that's all I've said to the extent
of like even on here of like, yes, I'm dating somebody.
(02:28):
And then on the podcast, you know, I co host
it with Cat Therapy Cat and she, you know, we're
often like she knows him and we're talking about him,
or even you, you and I haven't talked about him
a lot, and you just privately and you know, she's like, yeah,
it's your boyfriend. And so I've said it like yeah,
(02:50):
I have a boyfriend, which is still weird to say,
and trying to be just also careful in how we
share things because there's other people involved.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, yeah, there is. Okay. So I think there's two
questions I can ask you that aren't really about him
that will allow you to share some things. Does this work? How?
How are the kids feeling with you dating somebody new?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Great?
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Okay, they're loving it, They're doing well.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
They like it. I think Stashira said something at dinner
the other night because we were eating dinner with him,
and she said, oh, yeah, I just thought mom was
going to end up alone forever.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
You're like, thank you. I think Google so.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
They like him. I think his kids like me.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I'm sure they love you. You're amazing.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Well, our kids. I have met his kids, he has
met mine, but we our kids have not all met.
We haven't done that part yet.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Okay. And with Valentine's Stay coming out, do you have
Valentine's Day plants?
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, yes, we are doing something. I don't know exactly
what yet because he maybe is taking his kids to
a Virginia basketball game that weekend fun and Valentine's is
on a Friday. This year, it's still up in the air.
Their schedules, the kids, they have lots of sports and whatnot,
so they don't know exactly what's going to be happening.
(04:23):
But if they can go, they all really want to go.
They're big Virginia fans uv A And yeah, what else?
What was I going to say? Oh? So that said,
we may do something on Thursday night, like just dinner,
but if not, they don't travel, We're going to do
something on Friday night.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
How does it feel to have Valentine's Day? Flans? I
just after everything you've been through and now this is
where you're at, Like, how does it feel to have
like new kind of Valentine's Day?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Flans It's fun? But I was like, Okay, yeah, what
do we do. It's not like I'm totally out.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Of no, no, but you know what I mean, like
new in the dating and.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
A long time but yeah, like to have plans and
to shop for somebody and have to think through some things. Yeah,
it's interesting and I'll get a little nervous and it's
also fun.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Okay, and give me are we doing okay and not
talking about anything that you don't want to talk about.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I'm totally okay, doing great.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Okay. Give me three words to express how you're feeling
in this new relationship.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Okay, three words comfortable, content, and cute.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, I like alliteration, so that made it easy to
Comfortable honestly was the first word that came to my mind,
and then I was like, okay, I'm just going to
stick with all seeds. The cute part is just I
think that, yeah, we're cute. We're cute, like how we are?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
You guys are cute together?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Okay, I won't say anymore because I do know. I
do know a lot of information, and I know that
there's things that you still have to share on the
big show. So that's where I'm leaving that right now.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Not even just you know, sharing on the Big Show,
but listeners have so many listeners of the Big Show
have followed our lives for a very long time, and
so there's that component of like, okay, I've let you
into certain things, so yeah, I would like to let
you in and you be the first to know of
like this, this and this, and then also just you know,
(06:36):
once it became time to say this, this and this,
I want him to be very aware, you know. Yes,
That's why when the voicemail was played, I'm like, yeah, okay, cool, Yeah,
I have a boyfriend, but I'm I'm I'm not really
going to say anything else at this point because it's again,
it's not just just me, and you know, the the
(06:58):
last time I was in a relationship that I announced,
it was two thousand and six and I was dating
Air Force guy and that's all we would say. And
plus we we're young and not very considerate of other people.
We were just like we're just on the radio talking
about everything. And I remember going to Ben and being like,
what can I say? What can I say? And He's like, well,
(07:20):
not much. I'm much more private. I was like, okay, fine,
we won't disclose who you are at all, we'll just
call you Air Force guy. And so we did, and
so I would. I shared and detailed all kinds of
stuff about him and our relationship and how it unfolded,
and it was very much in real time, and I
don't know that real time is necessary anymore. I think
(07:42):
that it's It was fun at the time, but then
as you mature, you learn, Okay, not everything is content
and not everything has to be in real time and
everyone has to be ready for it. And I personally
like letting listeners in. And I do think that there
are parts of my story that have been relatable to
(08:07):
a lot of listeners or helpful to get a peek
behind the curtain, because I know that I've benefited from
other people that have given me a peek behind the curtain,
and that's how we can all connect. Now, do listeners
know every detail? And do I know every detail of
other people's lives? Know? I think that we have to
be careful of what we let out. But if there's
parts of your story that can be comforting or therapeutic
(08:32):
or healing, or just for someone to know like they're
not alone and in the highs and the lows, like
just I feel like listeners have come alongside me in
so many highs and lows. They have celebrated alongside us,
they have wept alongside us. And I think that this
is one of those things where you know, I wouldn't
(08:55):
share something unless I was absolutely ready, and I thought
that it was going to be like an actual, real relationship,
and this feels like that. It's still sort of a
new ish, but it feels good and it feels right,
and he's okay with letting people into some of our
(09:16):
story once it's time to share that, And I do
think it's one that will be you know, I don't know.
I'm not like, I don't want to put too much
on it, but I'm just saying I think that there
likely will be one person that will benefit from hearing
it and feel comfort and piece of like, oh I
(09:38):
can do this and this is a cool story and
the story gives me hope.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Well, I think it'll also do that regardless, just for
the fact that, like this is after you went through
a divorce and you've shared that news and then you
started dating again and you're a mom that's with kids
and you're dating, like all of that is relatable. So
I definitely think there'll be more than one, but yes,
I love you shared that kind of behind the scenes
in your thought process behind it, because it is we
have to be very delicate with how we share things.
(10:07):
And it's so funny. There's a lot of people, like
when I talk about my dating life, everybody's like, you
you know these people care. I'm like, first of all,
you don't know the timeline of when these things happen.
These things going to happen six months or a year ago,
and I'm just now sharing them. You don't know where
they are in the timeline of events in my life.
So the person, the only person who will know that
this has happened will be the one person this is about,
(10:30):
and that's it. Nobody else is gonna be able to
put the pieces together. And we do that on purpose,
just to protect people. But it's funny. Do you remember
Sally When Sally came on after my birthday and she
had a story to share. Yes, So a person who
that was about apparently their friend had sent them that
(10:50):
segment and said, hey, don't be this person, and they
sent it to me and was like, I just had
my own karma, and I was like, you know, you
kind of deserve it and this person and Sally's story
was like, you're right, and I'm sorry. I'm like good,
I'm glad we could come full circle in this moment.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Oh that's good.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Is that funny?
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Though I didn't know that, but yeah, it is interesting
how we can put certain things together, you know, even
stuff we share about our friends, which my friend did
not care about this at all. She thought it was
hilarious and she gave us permission to say it. But
do you remember when I went omber my friend's list
of things that she was looking for in a partner,
and it is, you know, simple things to very ridiculous
things like I want them to be strong, oh you
(11:33):
know OCD, but not more OCD than me, like no naps,
like uh, I can't remember some of the other things.
She said, Oh, athletic, because I want to have athletic offspring.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I do very very much. Remember this list. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
So she was on a date with a guy and
somehow if they had a list came up and he
started talking about how he has this list and she goes, oh,
I keep the list on my phone, and she pulled
it out and she started reading it and he was like,
wait a second, I swear I heard this list on
the Bobby Bone Show, and she goes, how is me?
He was on a date and he recognized it, and
(12:11):
he's like, oh my gosh, that's so funny talking about
all the things, and the guys are making fun of
like how impossible it was going to be to find
but funny enough the date, the guy she was on
a date with was a former pro athlete, and he
checked a lot of the boxes, so it's kind of funny.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
See it works out somehow or another. And that's what
I love to tell people. I'm like, regardless of how
things get shared on the radio, like, the right person
is going to fall into all of our lives and
it's going to be the right person for a reason.
So all of that to say that what we share
on the show is it's there's part realness to it
and part also like protectiveness layer that we're doing our
(12:50):
jobs and our due diligence to protect people. Right, So
thank you for sharing some of this stuff. Hopefully we're good,
you feel good about it?
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Totally good?
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Yeah, okay, just making sure. So we're gonna take one
quick break and we'll be right back. So on the
complete other side of all of this, I have vertigo again.
Amy's looking at me on zoom, and I'm wearing glasses
and I haven't showered in like four days, and life
(13:23):
is weird over here. I am not okay, Amy, I
think I'm losing my mind.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Well, I know when we sat down to record and
you have your little red blot like it's like you
they are glasses with a red tint. I assume that
those are your special Vertigo glasses. Actually remember you coming
in the studio with them last time. But I don't
know if they have an official name.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
So yeah, they're called their aspects.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Okay, you have on your their aspects. And I said, Morgan,
we don't have you know, like we can do this
like in a more condensed manner because I know that
you're not feeling well. So you're a trooper for uh
showing up for best bits.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
You know. We had to do it. We had to
do it for the listeners. I have a actually out
for delivery right now as a neck brace that's on
its way to my house. So the crazy thing with
Vertigo is once I had my pet friend Holly come
over here and do the maneuvers on me that are
supposed to help get all my crystals back in alignment.
I know this all sounds crazy if you've never had
(14:22):
vertigo or known anybody who has. But once she did
the maneuvers, you have to keep your head so still
and so upright. So I've had to sleep upright. I've
had to I can't bend over, I can't move my
head left to right. So I'm getting the neck brace
in hopes that it will force me to not even
move a little bit of an inch to keep those
(14:43):
crystals in alignment, and hopefully I get better quicker than
last time, which took several weeks. So I'm gonna be
looking funny with these glasses and a neck brace.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Yeah, whatever maneuver she was doing on you, you were like,
hang off your bed. You posted it on Instagram and
I was like, oh, that looks so I know you're
in pain, So I'm not you. I get it. You're like,
what this is? I really have to have it? But
I was like, oh, I don't even have her togo
right now, and I would give anything to have that
girl come over and do whatever that is that she
just did to Morgan because it looked so relaxing.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
You definitely want it without the vertigo, because when she
does those maneuvers, it induces the vertigo. So you're getting
sick as she's doing it because it's literally so the
best way I can describe this when you have vertigo
is like there's a rocky wall in the back of
your head acting as your body's level, your equilibrium, and
when the crystals get loose out of that, they end
(15:32):
up in your ear canals. And so the only way
to fix that and get them out of your ear
canals is basically to roll your body and move your
body around in these very bizarre ways to get them
back into the rocky wall and give you your equilibrium back.
And so she's like moving me on my bed like
that because she's literally moving the crystals around in my
head to hopefully get them back in place. So when
(15:55):
she's doing that, she's inducing the vertigo. So I'm like ill.
I end up like and you have a vertigo hangover
after those maneuvers happen.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Okay, that's careful to say, Like I know that they
weren't inviable for you, and I know you feel like crap,
but it looked like it was gonna be awesome if
you're a normal person.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Yeah, so that's say you, but you know what I mean. Yeah,
that's why I say you'll want it, just you don't
want it with the vertigo because it isn't. It's a
cool experience to like move your body in that way,
but yeah, not in the in the way that you're
gonna bomb that afterwards. So that's what we're dealing with
right now. That's a weird time. But I do have
(16:35):
some fun also things to talk about. So we had
the Grammys that just happened. But did you see that
ye aka Kanye West got kicked out?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
No, but Therapy Kat just sent me a text right
before we started recording, and all she said was Kanye
West right now and then she did that whoa emoji
face kind of like what is happening? And I don't
know anything about this, so you'll have to let me know, Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
So he showed up with his girlfriend. She was well
completely naked.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, I saw her outfit. That was I don't even
know how that's allowed.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
It wasn't. And also he wasn't invited. So he showed
up to the Grammy's red carpet like this and he
wasn't even invited. Okay, insane, So she wasn't completely naked.
She had like a sheer over, but you could see everything. Essentially.
She had a fur jacket that covered when they're on
the red carpet, she took it off. Well, it made
me like kind of have this like thought process, when's
(17:32):
the last time that you've been kicked out of somewhere?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
If ever, I don't think I've ever been kicked out
of anywhere?
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Have you ever gotten trouble?
Speaker 2 (17:41):
That?
Speaker 1 (17:41):
It was like could have been a kicked out type situation,
because I bet they handled this with care, knowing that
it's Kanye West or E and they had to be like, sir,
you guys need to leave, and they were gently pushing
him out for the versus like the kickout that we
probably think in our heads.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
But yeah, no, I don't think I have. Have you
ever been kicked out as somewhere?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Okay, so this happened recently when I was in Paris.
So there have you heard of the Arc de Triomph,
the like really cool statue in Paris?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
No? Because well, I mean I'm sure I've seen it.
Oh yes, Like they have one that in New York
that looks.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Like it yeah, it kind of like basically it's these
in these different cities. I think it's known for like
when they win a battle and it becomes like this
thing in war and they build the statue to remember.
So Paris has this Arc de Triomph, which is known
for a lot of tourists. You go and you visit it,
but it's in this roundabout, like this traffic circle. And
(18:37):
it was like two o'clock in the morning, and I
had lots of alcohol at this point, but I wanted
to see the Arc day Triomph like up close, and
I saw like a gate around it. I wasn't going
to go in the gate, but I wanted to run
up to the gate and like take a picture of it.
And I ran up that there was these two police
officers that like kind of came like fastly moving over
and started speaking a lot of French to me, and
(18:58):
I just was like, I don't speak French. I don't
know what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Even though I didn't know that they were definitely kicking
me off of that. I played the dumb American card
like no a blah. Literally, I was like, I don't
know what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
But I did like why do you say it with
that accident in English? I don't know what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Because I'm pretty sure I was drunk and I was
saying it a lot like that where I was just like,
I don't know what's happening, but I didn't know, and
I didn't know. I probably wasn't supposed to be there.
I genuinely wasn't trying to like break into it or anything.
I just wanted to picture up close because of the
all the cars that moved by, and it was like
two am. There was hardly any cars. But that was
my kind of kickout moment where I could have ended
(19:41):
up in a in a Paris jail if I would
have escalated that situation.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, Rebel, I had no idea you lived life on
the edge like that. I really I can't racking my
brain trying to think of something like. I know, in
high school we had parties and fields and we'd get
it get busted and we don't have to run.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
So what you're telling me is you've matured and I
have not.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Well, no, I mean I don't. Maybe it just hasn't
happened yet. I don't know. I haven't been to Paris yet.
Maybe I'll get kicked.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
I did have a I was having a wild hair.
It was like here, you know, I was in Paris
and I did not care and I was just having
fun and listen, I was there was also might have
been a Greek man involved, and I was just having
fun living.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Like a Greek man. Have you spoken to him since?
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Yes, Yeah, we have spoken since we have a really like,
really cute romantic photo by the Arc de Triop. I like,
that's a cool memory. Thank you for that.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Okay, so when you say you're still talking to him,
what does that mean? Like, y'all are texting, whatsapping, dm.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Dming on Instagram. But it's not like anything. It's more
just like staying in touch and maybe one day we'll
see each other again. But it's not like a we're
gonna see each other again, we're gonna get married type thing. Okay,
just more fun messaging. Nice to meet you. Cool, one
day we'll see each other again. Maybe, right, So that
was mine. Nothing come to mind though. Maybe. Okay. I
(21:11):
hope you get to have a moment like this in
your life though, just for the heck of it. But
you don't get arrested, you know.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, No, okay, I'll look for moments.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Baby don't, baby don't. Okay. Also, since Laney Wilson has
blown up, she's gotten a whole lot of major brand deals,
Like I just saw one recently with what a Burger.
She has one with the bell bottomed jean. She has
one with hats. If you were to get like megastardom tomorrow,
what three brand deals would you agree to? Almost immediately,
(21:43):
no questions.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Asked, Oh, CTA, I would be the face of CIA chips. Okay,
it's done so much and I'll love anything Cia. And
it's all just a little bit on the price of
your side because of the equality of ingredients. Although I
do feel like ever since PEPSI bought them and the
(22:07):
integrity and the ingredients has stayed the same, because sometimes
when companies get bought out by the bigger ones, certain
things and the ingredients alter. I KNOWA was like, oh no, no, no,
that's not going to happen. But I think I do
notice CIA stuff on sale more just sharing that in
case you've never tried it. I Target has it on
sale a lot. So I would be the face of
(22:30):
DETA for sure. Maybe, Like I don't know, do you
have yours, and I can think about mine because I'm.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
I and we can bounce off too, like because I
it was I was just seeing this and I was like,
I wonder what that would feel like, Like all of
a sudden, all your favorite brands start coming to you.
I do think Taco Bell would be one for me.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Oh yeah, that'd be a good one.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I am at Taco Bell way too often and that's
definitely not good for my immune system for the fact
that all that's gluten. But you know here we are,
so Taco Bell would definitely be one for me.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Okay, So I mentioned being on a lot, So shoot,
why not Target? I'll be the face of Target.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
See you love to Target? What did that be? Insane?
You're like, oh, I'm now the brand woman for Target.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah. I feel like then you have gift cards to Target,
probably for days, and then you have lots of what
you need exactly and pretty much anything at Target.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
See. Okay. On that same side, I think I would
go Trader Joe's because I am definitely part of the
cult that is Trader Joe's. I love Trader shows.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Okay, So if you're a parent and you do have
a Trader Joe's near you, and you're trying to sneak
vegetables into your kids' bodies. My kids have been drinking
smoothies a lot lately, and I need to get things
in like broccoli, cauliflower, those types of veggies. Yep, And
it's really difficult any other way. But Trader Joe's has
(24:03):
bagged frozen organic cauliflower rice.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Oh so I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Yeah, and it's great because it's cheap, it's already chopped
up tiny, it's frozen, and it's organic, and you load
up on that and start. If your kids like smoothies,
start it makes your smoothie is really creamy. They have
no idea that it's in there. And that's my little
trick for getting more veggies into my kid's bodies.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
No, that's so good. I love that stuff. How do
use that for bowls? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:37):
It doesn't change the color of the smooth because if
I put anything green, they're instantly like why is this green?
And I'm like, okay, So I threw some mixed greens
in there because you need veggies. But the cauliflower, because
it's white and gives that creaminess. I also have been
chopping up zucchini.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
I love zucchini.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
You can shave off the green the skin if you
don't want the grain to show up in the smoothie,
and then if you freeze that, it gives it a
creamy consistency as well and just helps make smoothies more
nutritious for your children.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
But I love these pro tips. I might need a
new to it for my own smoothie. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Trader Joe's just has a lot of little nuggets like that,
and their produce everything is just so much more affordable.
It's just that Trader Jo's aren't everywhere.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, that's what sucks about Trader Joe's. And that's why
I call it like kind of a cult. That's why
everybody who's like you're if you have a Trader Joe's,
you end up loving it because it's just so it's
so good and it has such easy stuff to make
and throw into your food.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah, you just have to know that the parking is
always going to be terrible and some stuff about the
location is just not going to make sense. But you're
gonna be like, I don't care Trader Joe's. I'm still
going to go no matter what. Oh, which a strong
contender Sia speaking of them, I try to chip this
week that they like a elote. They came up with
like a Mexican streetcorn version of their chip, and Trader
(26:01):
Joe's has one. Now, the ingredients are very different, but
it's like, have you.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Had the No, I know what you're talking about. I
love them.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yes, they're so good. It's like a freeedo, but with
all the streetcorn.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yes and there. I don't know if you've noticed this either,
but Trader Joe's I feel a little bit more comfortable
with all the ingredients because like even the pasta stuff
literally comes from Italy. That all the different freezer stuff
is stuff that they're It's just the ingredients are easier
for me to read. I'm not feeling like there's multiple
ingredients and all of that stuff. I don't know about
the chips, but at least the freezer items.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
The chips are going to be very different than the
ingredients wise. But my sister did tell me, like she
doesn't have a Trader Joe's in her town in Colorado,
but she had to go to Albuquerque to take my
niece to the airport or her daughter. And while she's
if she's ever in Albuquerque. She goes Trader Joe's and
she did a hall and she said that she didn't
realize that they stopped. They don't carry anything that has
(27:00):
the red dyes, so none of their stuff. They haven't
done the complete overhaul. I don't think with like seed oils,
but they have stopped, or maybe they always have I'm
not sure. But she didn't realize that. And she was like,
oh good, it's just nice to go somewhere and you
don't have to think, yes, like oh what does this
have in it? But then also I do that, and
(27:23):
then I go to the gas station and I get
em and M's and I'm like, okay, this has red die.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
You know, it's a hard balance.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
You know, we're just doing our best.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
We are. Okay, So you have Target and Sieta. I
have Trader Joe's and Taco Bell. We each have one left.
What is the brand deal we're going with?
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Hush? Maybe Fini? Can I even make up?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Of course yeah. I like her lip glasses and contour sticks,
and my daughter likes her stuff too, So maybe we
could do like a mother daughter campaign and that would
be fun.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Oh that's so cute. I love that. Okay, if I
probably would have to go Lululemen, because I'm pretty sure
most of my closet is Lululemon Smart. Honestly, I just
feel like that would just make the most sense. I
wish that the dupes and stuff worked on me, but
I am. I love I love the Lulu Women stuff,
like the leggings. It is just a game changer because
(28:16):
I think it's because I work out, like the workouts
I do with CrossFit and hot yoga and stuff, you
sweat so much that those leggings are just a game changer.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah, A line is my favorite.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, bloop, A line is the best one.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
I A line is new to me. I think I
only started buying a line last year. I used to
be a very wonder under girl and now I'm a
line all the way.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Yeah. See, and those A line are just they're comfy,
They're perfect. So I think I go, Lulu, look at
us we would have That would be amazing. Honestly, I'm
like thinking about that, And I love this for Lanny
that she's getting to do this, but that would be crazy.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yeah, no, it's got her. World has changed so much
in the last and full of years, even just a
few years not even handful. It's been less than five
and her life is night and day, and she is
very deserving. So it's cool to see.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
I know I feel that same way. Okay, we're gonna
take one more quick break. We'll be right back and
think of some reviews aman. Everybody loves Reviews Day, so
we're just gonna kind of throw out a bunch of
things here. Okay, take quick break, will be right back.
So listeners really love the segment we do Tuesday Reviews Day,
and we share a bunch of things. And I have
been cooped up at home, so I have lots of
(29:31):
things to add. Have you been watching anything recently? Amy?
Speaker 2 (29:34):
I started Recruit?
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Oh yeah, did you already see the first season? And
you're on season two?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
No, I'm on season one.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Okay, well you will like it, but I refuse to
now suggest that for Bobby after our us getting totally
ridiculed for Night Agent.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Oh yeah, I'm watching Night Agent with my son too,
and Stevenson loves it so but Recruit I just kind
of have on in the background. It's easy to kind
of keep up with that way, Let's be honest, That's
how I watched most of my stuff. I saw this
funny ADHD video of this guy making fun of people
with ADHWO. When they find a show that they really like,
(30:09):
they walk around their house with their computer and they're
doing everything. They're like in the shower and they're trying
to hear and watch, they're brushing their teeth. They take
it to the laundry room. And that's me. I just
walk around my house with my computer and I've got
the show on. So that's why sometimes I miss a lot,
but I don't care. I still will advance to the
next episode. I don't need to go back and figure
it out. I'm like, oh, it'll sort on self out.
I'm not going to rewind. But that's what I'm doing
(30:32):
with Recruit right now. And I'm on season one, episode three,
and I like it.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Okay see, And it's probably in that same vein as
Night Agent. So that's why I say I want it.
I want to send it to Bobby now, especially after that.
But I really liked Recruit. I thought it was really good.
I finished season two because I binge that when it
came out, and I loved it. I think i'd give
it a oh three and a half out of five.
(30:58):
I'd say both seasons and a half out of five papers.
The penis Yeah, we can go with that. I was
trying to think of something that is not going to
throw you off for the next season, so I'd say
those two. I like that one on Netflix. What would
you give it so far?
Speaker 2 (31:16):
So probably saying three to three and a half. Like
I'm not it's good enough for me to keep watching,
but I'm not obsessed with it like I was. What
was that one on Apple TV with Jake Jillen Hall
that we were all obsessed with.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Oh, I don't think I've watched that one, but it was.
It was the is the ambulance one right or no?
The court one? Court room? Well?
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Why do I want to keep saying the proposal? But
it's not the it's sartually the pee. I know that
it starts with a pee, presumed innocent. That's it, seem
that's fine.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
I didn't even watch it. I figured it out.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
I don't know why I don't get words right. Like
last night we went to dinner and we went to, uh,
in the gulch Uh, what's a pig? I keep wanting
to call it.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
In pecco Iberian pig querian.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
There you go. Yeah, but I kept saying we're going
to Impickable Pig, and I think looks like a clothing
boutique or something.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
It is it is, that's why you keep saying that.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
So I just you know, as long as you get
it close. But if you are ever in Nashville, that
place is so good. Iberian Pig.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I do love Iberian Pig, but Barcelona still wins for me.
In tapas, Yeah, do you say tapas or tapas? I'm
probably wrong and it's probably tapas.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
No, I don't think there. I think it's like almond
or almond. I don't know that there is a right
or wrong or pajamas pajamas, It's just either or.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
I feel like when I was in Barcelona, which Barcelona,
Spain is really where tapas come from. I'm pretty sure
they were saying tapas and the tapas is me very Kansas.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Oh no, it's the Vertigo that too.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Yes, this episode I do so. I love Iberian Pig.
I think it's my second favoritt Tapa's restaurant in town.
Have you been to Barcelona?
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Oh? Yeah, I love Barcelona.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Okay, but do you like Iberian Pig better?
Speaker 2 (33:09):
I think I like the vibe think, Look, they just
did a really good job with the I don't know.
It looks like it used to be an old warehouse
and they completely renovated. It looks really cool. I like
the bar area. But last night we ate upstairs. I
didn't even know they had that up there. I didn't either,
they have a whole upstairs area. I'm like, this place
(33:30):
is packed, and I'm like, this is what people do
on weeknights, Like I'm normally in bed. I don't understand.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
We're learning. We're learning to go hot on school night.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, but I'll let you in. I'm a little I went.
My boyfriend's dad wanted to take us out to dinner
and his wife, so my boyfriend's stepmom, but she's been
a step mom for a really really long, really long time,
and his half sister. We all went to dinner because
(33:59):
he's dad. He's like, oh, I would like to get
to know Amy better.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Oh, so how did it go?
Speaker 2 (34:04):
At the reservation? They said, you know, we're going to
impeccable pig get some new clothes first, y'all are invited,
And so we went and it was fun. I've hung
out with his family before, but it was just better
to get to know them more intimately.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Yeah, and that's a cool spot for that because you
get it. What I love about tapas is that everybody
gets to get a bunch of different things and you
try it all.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Okay, that's fun. We added a new reviews day part.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Of this VILLETT Reviews. Yeah, because I don't have another
TV show? What else do you have?
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Okay? Did you ever watch The Sweet Magnolia's TV show
on Netflix?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Okay, so a new season just came out, season four,
and I just binged it yesterday because I can't literally
move from my house, so I've benched the.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Whole Okay, I might do that soon. I really liked
that show a lot, and I met eat a break
from CIA stuff because between Lioness, the Night Agent, the Recruits,
it'd probably be nice to have it just a cute, little,
cute romantic show.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Yes, and this season was very good. I'm assuming you're
caught up to that point, so you just need the
new season. Loved it. It still keeps getting better. There's
definitely cheesy moments because it's just Netflix. I think I've
accepted that Netflix. We'll just have some cheese in it.
But I really loved it. I love that shows. It's
one of my favorites.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
So have you watched Younger? Oh?
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yeah, I love Younger?
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Okay, same, I just I rewatched all of that. I
watched it originally, but you know again, because my ADHD
I missed a lot. When I was rewatching it, I
was like, oh, I had no idea this happened or
this happened. And so that's the fun part about if
you ever rewatch something, and you watch TV like I do,
is there's always something noo to.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Learn you can rewatch. You'll have always had an endless
supply of things to watch. I did watch. This is
how my TV watching happens is like kind of like
how we're mentioning the CIA shows. When I find something
that I like, I'll then go on a bender of
watching things similar to that, and then I'll like switch
gears and I'll find something new. Like I'm also really
(36:19):
obsessed with sitcoms right now because I watched and I
feel like you could watch this with your kids and
they may actually love it. But it's called Neighborhood. Did
you ever watch New Girl?
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Okay, you know Schmidt on New Girl, So he's in Neighborhood.
And it's so funny. It's this white family that moves
into a black neighborhood and it's all about like their
friendship and as as him living in that neighborhood, what
that all looks like. I have laughed so many times
watching that show. And it has like seven seasons.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Okay, that's gonna be something good that. Yeah, I could
watch with both my kids and I.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Think they would love it. Okay, So that's been like
something that I'm obsessed with lately in sitcoms. So Neighborhood
on Paramount Plus. And I've also started watching Man with
a Plan, which is with the actor Matt Joey from.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Friends, Matt LeBlanc.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Yes, Matt LeBlanc. He is in this sitcom, which is funny.
It's like about a married couple and it's very like
real life of just their experiences with their kids, and
I like it. I don't know if I'm just on
this like sitcom funny, kind of wishing we'd have thirty
minute episodes again, but that's what both of those are,
So two cool sitcoms to watch.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Okay, noted, yes, thank you. Yeah, that's check out Neighborhood
And I didn't know a new season of Sweet Magnolias
is out. I guess I saw it Papa on Netflix,
but I thought maybe it was just I didn't know
it was a new season.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I thought they was like a spotlight. Yeah, no new season,
and I binge watched it all on one day. I
guess that's what you get when you're stuck at your house.
So those are all where I'm at right now. I
think I also started watching the other it come with
Tim Allen Shifting Gears. So again I like, like I said,
I get on these kicks of things, and I've just
(38:09):
been on a sitcom kick. But I used to watch
with my dad Tool Time. What was that show Improvement? Yes,
with Tim Allen, and so this is supposed to be
like a similar version to that. So that's Shifting Gears.
I don't know how I feel about that one yet,
but I do. Neighborhoods definitely the top, and then Man
with a Plan I'm kind of leaning into. So that's
(38:29):
where we're at with all of those. But fun easy
that you could totally watch while you're doing other things
and like hap in the background, we'll just up your alley. Okay,
so we're gonna get out of here unless there's anything
you want to add.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
No, I just hope you feel better soon. Make this
for you. Like I'm watching right now and I'm like, oh, Morgan,
do you feels yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:52):
I but I have zofrin. Thank goodness. My doctor prescribe
me zo friend. So that is a miracle nausea drug.
But yes, as soon as that wears off, I feel immediately.
I'm like, oh, pop another one.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah, so Friend's legit. That's what. When I did my
ketamine therapy, I was getting so nauseous, and the first
time I did it, I was like, oh no, I
think I'll be good. Like I don't normally get impact
like nausea. I don't really get carsick. I just kind
of thought I was not going to have an issue,
(39:26):
and I was so sick when I came out of it.
Never again, I am taking zofran. So you take zofran
before you do your little trip. If a guided praist.
By the way, I did it all buy the books,
legal with the next thing, professional, the whole thing, and
(39:50):
so Frank came in clutch.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Oh yeah it is. I'm telling you it is. I
have had so many nausea medicines because I am a
prone to nausea with everything, but Zofran is a game changer.
So yeah. Besides that, I just feel kind of inhuman
because I can't really move my head, so I just
kind of feel like I'm a robot right now. Well,
you'll get your praise and then, yeah, just wait till
(40:13):
you see me coming in the studio Monday. I'm gonna
look so funny.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Oh yeah, you think you're where to work on Monday.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
I think I'm gonna have to. I have a feeling
this is not going to be over by the weekend.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Organ if it's not over, do not come in. You
don't need to be driving.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Well, I told Lunchbox. Lunchbox texted me because you and
Lunchbox both texted me were like, do you need anything?
And Lunchbox like, I know you don't like asking for help,
so let me know if you need something, and I
was like, well, if I do manage to make it
into work, you're probably gonna have to go and pick
me up.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Yeah, okay, he's probably closer to you, but if he can't,
I can pick you up too.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Yeah, no, he is closer. I would not make you
drive in the crazy Nashville traffic to come get me.
It would be worth it. Okay, we're gonna jump over
to listener Q and A because that's about all I
have left to manage. But Amy, thank you for doing this,
Thanks for being on here on zoom for a weird
little best bits, and for sharing some little pieces of things.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Yeah, no problem.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
That's the best Bits of the week with Morgan. Thanks
for listening. Be sure to check out the other two
parts this weekend. Go follow the show on all social.
