Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, the bones post show pre show. I was
listening to the show yesterday and I don't do it often,
and I was listening to the post show pre show
and I was just like, shut up and get to
the show. Oh so what again, this is me and
I don't like listening to me. So what I'm gonna
say is I'm asking for you guys. Let me know.
(00:20):
Do you like shorter post shows. Do you like longer
post shows? Do you like no post show? Because I'm
listening and I'm just like, I just want to hear
the show. Oh here, because we were talking about the
food that we were gonna bring and the party. Yeah,
I was like, let's go speed it up. So yeah,
let me know about that. I know you're watching on
(00:41):
Facebook here too, and that's that's a bit of a
different element too. Eddie was saying that, speaking of watching that,
sometimes we'll do interviews, and I've said this before, we'll
do them after a show for the next day sometimes,
and sometimes guests will come in and only have a day,
but their album is coming out the next Friday, and
I'll go, hey, we'll hold it. We'll put it on Friday,
so you'll get the biggest bang for your interview. So
we'll pre record some interviews and Eddie has to edit them. Yeah,
(01:04):
and the ones on the phone are apparently difficult to edit. Yeah,
sometimes because you know they're the artists we're talking to.
Starts talking and I think you guys kind of maybe
just lose a little bit of interest while they go
a little long and your bones. You start getting on
your phone sometimes and I'm like, well, I can't have
that on the screen. And then I'm like, I gotta
go to something else. So I'll go to Amy and
(01:24):
then she's on her phone. Then I'm really screwed. He's
gotta lunchbox staring at his Facebook. No, no, no. Then
I go to me and I'm like like acting like
I'm really listening anytime they Eddie listening shots because I'm bored,
Amy's bored, and you're not. You're faking it. But it's
not very often sometimes, Yeah, No, good at the phone
(01:45):
interviews can be really hard, but I think you do
a good job of I don't know that I do that,
but sometimes with someone that if I'm on the fence
about being interested in and I'm let me give them
a shot, they might be interesting. And then they're not.
I'm just like this all right. I can't see me,
so why not read some Twitter see what's going on
in the world. We talk about Raymundo's birthday and a
(02:07):
second it's also Abby's birthday. Gave her her little her
birthday gift today too. Abby's our newest show member. Um,
she Abby? What is your job during the show? Here?
Mover towards the oh, towards the Abby. What do you
do during the show as we're working here? Because I
see you typing and I walk by. What's what happens? Um?
(02:28):
I do like a rundown they send out to all
the affiliates and everything. Um, so you're just taking notes? Yeah,
and kind of look for news stories too, and edit
some audio. It's a little bit of everything. Yes, I
just brought an Abbey onto to my podcast network, so
she's gonna be working over there too. We have about
to have ten shows now awesome. We're about to launch
three more shows. So yeah, look at you. How's how's
(02:50):
the birthday weekend coming good? I'm probably gonna go to
a vineyard here Arrington. Yeah, just be outside, enjoy your friends.
Feel a couple. I do. But when are you all
going tomorrow. Oh okay, I have friends doing a birthday
there on Sunday, and that'd be fun, like a popular
(03:10):
place because you can be socially distanced. Yeah, what's outside?
Yeah yeah, all right, yeah. I think they just have
it like a whole bunch of tables, so I hope
we can get one. Yeah, well, happy birthday, Thank you.
I appreciate that. Oh it's awesome. I was gonna come
to raise and get um, you know, have some white cloth,
but he'll let me. I'm just kidding. All right, you
see you later. All right, we're gonna get today's show.
You guys can tweet me at mister Bobby Bones. Let
(03:32):
me know. Shorter post shows. I'm good for that, longer
post shows. Whatever, like said her, talk all day, um.
Check out the Bobby Cast. Today. We have Richie, the
late singer of Lone Star on talking about Whenever maybe
I'm Amade by You when that hit, what their life
was like, because it was like they were already putting
out country hits, but this changed it all up for them.
(03:53):
So I had him on. Eddie and I talked about
some things from the nineties nineties country music. Things you
probably didn't know that are pretty mind blowing. Um, so
check it out and always the new music that comes
out that week. All right, thank you, goodbye, We'll see you.
Um well, now we'll see you Monday. By Hello. What's up? Everybody? Morning?
(04:21):
Studio morn morning. Later on, Thomas Rhet comes in to
play for us. Everybody's rocking. It is a special day
here today. Are you ready? Do you know wide special day?
No Friday? Well, yeah, that's part of it. It's also
Raymundo's birthday. Raymundo, your birthday guests from mere RBM brought
(04:45):
into the studio right now. That's what I'm talking. Should
be three packages, go ahead. I got a phone call
at that exact same time. Did you play in that? No,
East Dundee, Illinois. I think it's just spam. Has nothing
to do with me, Bro, What are you Jordan's about
to come in here. No, it's nothing like that. It's
not not not big U Ray Holliday, Ray thirty five. Wow, yeah,
(05:09):
my chicks thirty three, so I got two years on her.
Nothing to do anything. Okay, grab you see your packages? Yeah,
Mike just brought stuff in. Okay, grab the big one.
They are two that are similar. Going to open it
out all here we go. Whoa, whoa, whoa. This is
this one hundred pound yeah, white claw, two cases a
(05:31):
white claw, dan case number one, number two. Dude, it's
your birthday. If you wanted to have one, thing's my
little slop. You could buy one open and then there
should be a bag in there. I got it right here.
(05:52):
I don't need anymore. That's very generous. Well, now this
is the real gift. It's actually something you can use.
It's a key, it's a it's a gift. Okay, that's
ball er. Thank you, dude. You're welcome man. Happy birthday
you and Caitlin. Yeah, that's right. So I have birthday too,
Raimundo there question. I thought it was tomorrow. It is,
(06:16):
but we're going to see him. Okay, Well I just
got nervous that okay, that's just I've now reminded you guys.
You have to do something for him. Yeah, yeah, no,
I have in the calendar, thank you, Scuba, Steve right
your birthdays tomorrow? Right, Yeah, it's on Saturday. Yeah, September,
and Gray's drunk already. What I mean nothing, Ray, I
(06:39):
heard you get in trouble for talking about your wedding
too much on the air. Yeah, So some of the
details I've been putting out there, I need to kind
of just keep them a little bit closer to the vest,
you know, Like what, uh the way that I told
people they can't come to the wedding, So your fiance
didn't like that. You made a bit out of disinviting people. Yeah,
it ended up being kind of brutal because people were
(06:59):
hearing on the radio that they weren't coming to wedding,
and I guess it didn't go over well with some people. Yeah,
that would happen to me too if iver that situation. Yeah,
what else a D I've made an offhand comment about
the DJ, so he kind of thought he wasn't working
for us anymore. But we still are going to employ him.
So I do need to just be careful in some
of the stuff that I'm saying. Is you, is there
a DJ playing your wedding? Yeah? Is it two d q? Uh? No? No? No?
(07:22):
Who is an up and comer? I gotta find out
up and comer? But yeah, there's some surprises too, So
she's just like, for the next couple of months, just
keep it quiet. There's surprises that your wedding and just
some stuff we haven't really talked about. It'll be neat
like what, oh that was great? Yeah, he gets in
(07:43):
trouble again, lead him to give him a Roebill hold on.
All right, yeah, all right, happy birthday, but thank you.
Thirty five tomorrow. Are you doing anything special? Uh? My
fiance just said, where's something really warm? And it's ninety
degrees in Tennessee. So I have no idea what she
has planned. What do you think? Um threw some stuff around.
(08:05):
You're going to Seattle, So I thought, maybe I'm tagging
along with you. That's colder there. I would probably wearing
a long sleeve shirt there, so that would make sense.
It is not. I'm going to work, Like as soon
as it shows over, I fly land and start working immediately.
And then I thought, she knows I love cruising around.
Maybe they rented out a corvette or something top down,
(08:25):
wear a sweatshirt because he can get kind of breezy. Okay,
who's they What could they rented a corvette? I'm guessing
her and maybe one of our neighbors. I mean, it's
got to be a small amount of people, right, Ray
doesn't need of a corvette. I mean, it's a limited
(08:49):
amount it. Maybe it's just me and her. I don't know.
It was just an idea. I'm just gonna get going
on the show here. It kind of went down a
weird path. It's always so funny. For the last eight
weeks we've been two food rivals against each other in
the food feud, but now we're taking all eight winners
and it's straight bracket time. We're gonna find the best
food item head to head battle the champions. There can
(09:09):
only be one winner. It's gonna give brutal folks. Come
on it right, all right, Here we go to fight.
In the red corner, they're made with flour, eggs and salt,
top with syrup and butter. Each one to run you
three hundred and fourteen calories. It previously won on the
show with a vote at three to two from the place.
(09:32):
It's up to twenty four hours a day, three hundred
and sixty five days a year. The waffle house waffle
everywhere it's facing off against in the blue corner. They're warm,
fluffy and syrup with a garlic topping. Each want to
run you one hundred and forty calories. It also won
on the show barely three to two from the place
(09:54):
that when you're here your family, it's olive garden bread
stew Right, what you got, Amy, what would you rather have?
Pound for pound? What's better? Waffle House waffle or olive
garden bread stick. Gosh, that's so hard. I mean one salty,
one sweet sweet. So I guess I'll go with. I'm
gonna go with I want give me a waffle. I'm
(10:17):
gonna go waffle too. We got two boats waffle, Eddie
hund P, no doubt. I'm gonna go with the garlic breadstick, Morgan, totally,
the olive garden bread sticks. Okay, we're back to even now.
We're z row lunch bus Man. When you said it
and you started describing it, and my mouth kept water,
and when you said that waffle house waffle. Un Yeah,
(10:41):
I'm gonna have to go waffle House waffle. They put
one in right next to us, and I may just
go after work. Right. That's it. That's your winner. It's
over Winter Waffle. Nice. That's a tough round, though those
two both are very loved. Next week will be Krispy
Krame Don't as versus Cole Ranch to Rito's winners from
marm That's tough I'll see you. I have a proposal
(11:02):
here by an amateur pilot. You know, I'm always curious
about how you feel about proposals that are done like
big public proposals, because yours wasn't done in public. It
was your's what. No, we're not a public posal proposal
got him marriage himself? Well, he ended up. He wanted
to be private on a balcony, but the balcony was
shut down for a private party, So we did it
(11:23):
in a hotel bar in front of everybody. Yeah, but
I mean a public proosal when you do it on
purpose where people purposefully see it. Okay, yeah, yeah, So
is this a romantic way to propose? Here's the clip
of the proposal. He asked his girlfriend read an emergency
checklist as they're flying. Oh no, and this happens. So
start at the red one airspeed seventy kias hold on.
(11:49):
Verified pilot is willing to give up his life for
copilot check. Verified pilot will provide for richer poor check.
Confirm a co pilot slept hand is ready for engagement?
What up? Is co pilot ready to accept the last
(12:11):
name of pilot? Were you married? Are you sure? I
think that's amazing. Yeah, that's so smaller. Yeah, so air
(12:32):
traffic control got in on that. That's public. Now again,
I don't know that's anymore public than yours when I
think about it, because it was private. Well yeah, I
mean I guess they put it out there. I don't.
I mean yeah, And when you're on those I'm like, dang,
why didn't my husband think of that? That's good? I go, yeah,
that's good. You go good, Eddie good. Oh, that's so listen. Okay,
(12:53):
you know here a it's lame and he's just doing
it for the cloud. He wants everybody to think, Oh,
I'm mister cool. He didn't even get like girls, won't
you get down one knee? Don't they? He didn't even
get down one knee and proposal. He can't after they
land o, no, but a proposal. Every girl's like, oh.
And then he got down one knee. And that's when
my mouth went wide open. This is good. I was
reading over a checklist. He never got down on one knee. Sorry,
(13:15):
didn't you propose your wife over the phone? Oh? Oh?
Got him? Yeah? All right? Making sure here was it
never left facts in the way of a good story,
you know what I mean? Yeah, it was more her idea.
She was like, oh, why don't we get married? Though, Okay,
are you serious? Good story man, So you never even
gave your own wife the down on the knee draw
(13:36):
dropping moment. No, because then her and her sister and
her mom went and picked out a ring, and then
I went to town, picked it up and gave it
to her. This is why novels like romance novels are
all so beautiful. Yeah, when this show's over and you
want to listen to my music podcast, it's called the
Bobby Cast. We're talking about the CMA's Chuck Wicks and
I are picking who we think will win. Also, the
lead singer of Lone stars on, and we talking about
(13:58):
the new music coming out this week. So check it out.
It's called Bobby Cast. Wherever you listen to your podcast,
if you love music, I think it'll be right on
for you. All Right, let's go fun. All right, the
five most fun facts that Amy could find on the Internet.
Here we go, number five. So Betty White holds the
record for longest television career of any female or male entertainer,
(14:21):
spanning eighty one years. She made her TV debut in
nineteen thirty nine. Well, she's really pretty when she was younger.
I think, no, no, no, no, no, no, you're just
not attracted to this stage. But I'm sure if you
were eighty ninety, you'd think she was eighty ninety, probably
going young like seventy five. All right? Number four. The
(14:44):
first Grammy winner for rap was let Me Guess sugar
Hill Gang. Nope, who DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh
Prince Paris don't understand that's rap performance for this song
in nineteen eighty nine. My first I don't think. Yeah,
I think there wasn't an award for hip hop until then. Wow, yeah,
(15:08):
they're really cool. I had summertime. I had that whole tape.
Listen to the front, the back. Yeah, I was right
after that one, all right. Number three? Number three. In California,
you can only get the number sixty nine on a
license plate if your car's model year is nineteen sixty nine.
Why are they trying to shut us down? The joke
doesn't hurt anybody. It's a dumb joke. You're always trying
(15:30):
to hold me down. What's funny? All right? Number two?
The President's limo has a refrigerator full of his blood type. Yeah,
that's anywhere he goes. Even air Force one has keeps
blood on there and there's a whole basically doctor surgery
station up in air Force One. It's crazy that that
much can be put in an airplane. Yeah, what's so big?
(15:52):
It's just crazy that there's a big couches living room.
I mean, I've never been an airplane that big. There's
some show on Netflix now I can't think of it
what it's called. It's like America's Secrets or something, and
there's an air Force one episode and it's fascinating. If
people are interested, you should watch it. Number one, Frank
(16:13):
Sinatra's publicist would audition and pay girls five dollars to
scream at his early performances to get the crowd hyped.
It's like they created excitement, that's I mean. And then
it's contagious. Yeah, I mean, yeah, I guess contagious is
one thing they're like when Trump was running at the left,
(16:34):
at the very beginning, they were paying people to stand
in the crowd and be cheerers at first. They don't
have to do that anymore, obviously, but it's just like
hiring an extra. Huh, Yeah, you're just hiring extras to
get it going. All right, there's thought that's interesting. Wasn't
the most fun? Oh? I thought, I really honestly thought
you would like be like, huh, Frank Sinatra had to
do that early. I think everybody had to, right, I
(16:56):
mean everybody has to do things early on that once
they get big, like I can't believe they head to
struggle this much. Yeah, like you when you buy your billboards,
It's true, that's true. All right, there you going, Thank
you very much. That's some back. Bobby Bone The latest
(17:17):
from Nashville in Tullywood and Morgan Number two, thirty second Skinny.
Kelsea Ballerini announced a new stripped album called Ballerini, coming
out September eleventh. Here's the strip version of Club. But
I don't want to go to the club. Oh, I
don't want to watch everybody around me trying to hook
up and say souff they Domaine get drunk and get you.
(17:43):
So what's wrong? Because I don't want to go to
the club. Lauren Elena's new EP is out today called
Getting Over Him. Here's the title song, Saturday Night you
(18:06):
Knew It Last co First Cone, No Fallen, Just You,
Getting Older Him and new albums out today. Adam Hamburg
released his album Top Down, Southbound Party shared his album
called a Rock, and Tyler Rich shared his debut album
(18:29):
called two thousand Miles. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.
It's time for the good News Unbox Something Good. A
thirteen year old boy in Florida has invented something to
save lives at the beach. He was hearing about people
drowning in the Gulf of Mexico and he's like, man,
I'm a boy scout, I gotta invent something. So he
(18:51):
invented something called the life Box, and it's filled with
life s, a lifesaver and CPR instructions and you put
them on the beach. That way people have access to
him and can help save live. That's interesting. So he
invented a new way for people. Yeah, I guess that's it.
He because when I've been into Bobby Water at Sonic Okay,
(19:12):
I kind of just named it like Kaitlin had put
all the stuff and I was like, no, let's make
this a thing and we'll call it the Bobby Water. Now,
he didn't invent the life jacket or or CPR instruction.
He put them all in one place, so people kind
of have access. So Khalil is his name, so for
both of us, for me and Khalil, great job. A
lot of listeners tag me in those sonic Bobby Waters
(19:34):
about just for the record, Bobby Water is Route forty four,
ice water, double ice, real fruit, cherry and strawberries and nerds.
You're welcome, and that's what it's all about. That was
tell me something good. Sorry to day. This story comes
to us from Hoboken, New Jersey. A man was playing
(19:58):
soccer with his friends right near the hut River and
the soccer ball, oh, goes into the Hudson River, and
the twenty four year olds like, I'll jump down there
and get it. He jumped in the Hudson, the ball
starts floating away. Police had to be called and they
had to rescue him before he drowned. Wow. I don't
want to laugh at hard because I've done that before too.
Not soccer, but had a ball go on the water
and you jump in the lake like I'll get it,
and then it starts to float on you and then
(20:19):
you're like, oh crap, that stinks. All right, I'm lunchboxed
out your bone head Story of the day So Kanye
West was talking about the time he jumped up on
stage during Taylor Swift's awards speech and by the way,
here's a clip of the sweet speech from back in
the day. No, Taylor, I'm really happy for you. I'm
let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best
(20:41):
videos of all time, one of the best videos all
time that made both of them so famous too. Yeah,
that's but it was a real idiot thing to do.
It just wasn't cool. But now he's finally saying why
he did it. He said that God ordered him to
do so ordered him. Interesting quote. God has a calling
on all of us, and he uses it in different ways.
(21:03):
West forty three told Nick Cannon, which about the way.
I think we can all agree with that, right. Yes.
The infamous incident occurred when twenty year old Swift was
receiving an award for Best Email Video for You Belong
with Me and Beyonce a single Ladies didn't win, and
that was the clip and he says, listen, I'm sitting there,
(21:23):
God told me to go do it, so I did it. Okay,
that was God? Or like Eminem behind him at the
awards at Honey One, Amen, amen, you every funny go
out there. I don't know, but that's I mean, I
guess I do know, but I don't. Maybe God did
tell him. We can't prove he didn't. That's right, you
can't prove he didn't. This story made me think about you.
(21:44):
There's a couple and they adopted four siblings, and so
they go through the process. They already had a biological
sun named Henry. When they adopted four siblings. They had
been fostering for years. So they get all four, They
do all the paperwork at the four commands, so it's
now the House of five, right, and then they find
out they're expecting quadruplets. Oh what five to nine? It
(22:05):
goes one to nine like that, Wow, isn't that crazy?
And how much does that cost to raise nine kids?
That's a baseball team at the same time? What? And
then they they were trying to get pregnant, right, and
maybe doing IVF or some form of tres yes, okay,
So it's not like they're just like, what how did
these four? I mean, I know, and I know that
(22:27):
that's hard, but that's the reality of if you do
that stuff, you have to be you know, you could
end up with multiples, right, So man, how John and
Kate got eight? Yeah? Sure, but they had two one
or two already, like they had twins, right, and then
they had six more? Yes, right now she was pregnant
(22:47):
six and then there was Octoma otom Ate at once.
How in the world, I don't know. I don't think
I let it shake me as much as I should
have back then. I think I'm struggling with the more
now than hey kids, Well that's a nido. But now
I'm like, oh my god, hey kids at the same time.
(23:09):
So I saw that they put out the Dancing with
the Stars cast. We talked about that, and they put
out their odds of winning. They have a j McClain
as the odds on favorite to win. I think this
Johnny Weird will win the Olympic figure skater. I mean,
if I were to put a few of them up
at the top, I would put aj because he's a
great dancer, he's warm, he's a factory boy. I'll have
(23:30):
that fan base from the beginning. Johnny Weird. Those professional
athletes on that show and he is are great and
figure skaters are basically dancing on ice. Anyway, He's gonna
be great and he's got a big personality, which will translate.
And then I would also say this Monica from Cheer,
because she does have dance, she's a bit, she's in
her probably forties. I think that will appeal. She's not
(23:53):
like some hot twenty two year old if people are like,
all right, yeah, no, she's very likable and she's extremely likable.
Like those are the three that I will put. If
I were having a bet now and Monica's way down there, oh,
I would move her higher. She's well, she's six at
nine to one or t'o bet. I tell you this.
When I went off, I went off at here you
(24:14):
were you were bad. Yeah, I went off at the
same thing. Carol Baskin's going off. They to win this thing.
They had me at the same and she didn't look
at one of those odds, but that's what they had me. No,
And Carol Baskin, I don't think physically can make it
through the rigors of this show. Well we don't know that. Yeah,
(24:35):
I mean, just by looking at the past seasons and
the people who have won, you really have to be
really good shaped to win that show. And so but
I was Carol Baskin and just way less famous, just
way less famous, and I won. Um so then Nev
guy from catfishes next to last. But it's interesting I
saw Tom Bergeron changed his Twitter bio. He doesn't say
(24:58):
he did Dancing with the Stars anymore. He just totally
took that off. Well now he says that he did
a show called, um what was it? But work with
the famous? Oh funny. Yeah, well he's not happy. It's
such a good guy. And listen, he made a lot
of money over twenty six seasons. I bet he made
over fifty million dollars. Really, yeah, hosting that show. Maybe
(25:23):
not his first contract, which usually three or four seasons,
but yeah, I would think so, I think he's probably fine. Now,
all right, let's go to the phones. Hey, Bobby Morning Studio.
So I was out a couple of weeks ago sick,
and I'm not sure if I missed it when Amy moved,
but I was just wondering if there is a microwave
inside for kitchen at the new house. But y'all have
(25:45):
a great day, love listening. Amy's been very anti microwave
anti the last ten years longer probably okay, but yeah, so, yeah,
there is a really fancy one and it was built
in till the wall. You can't And if there's just
no way to get rid of it, no, I probably no,
there there's not a way. We'd have to pull it
(26:07):
out and patch the wall or put a shelf in
or something. It's stuck in there, and it's it really
is fancy. I don't know what the people were thinking
that lived there before me, but it is awesome and
I love it. And it broke and now I'm very
sad because I'm either going to have to leave it
broken and it just looks they're like an accessory that
(26:29):
we don't use, or I'm gonna have to get it fixed.
And again, it's a microwave, but I never would have
bought so it's kind of fancy. So I don't know
how much it's gonna cost a fix. But are using it, Yes,
we're using it. It's so I'm saying like, and it's
things I never thought I would say. Are then we
need to get the microwave fixed, or oh, I can't
believe I have to go over to the stovetop and
heat this up. I lived archaic like that for years
(26:52):
and it did not bother me. And now when I
have to go over and turn on the kettle or
heat up my coffee, or heat up something on the
stove top, like, gosh, this five minutes when it would
have been done in forty five seconds in the microwave.
Do you think, and this is seriously, you think you're
gonna be okay? I hope. So I think some of
that was I've been letting go a lot of them
of my That was my part of my food issues,
(27:15):
like trying to just control weird things that I put
my body. And I thought the microwave was bad, but
I don't know that it is all right, according to
my research, is pretty good. You're Samy's pile of stories. Well,
this is genius marketing that is working on me because
Reese's has created a little cake that you're supposed to
(27:36):
eat in the morning. It's a breakfast bar. Okay, they
just breakfast, No, they did it. It's a snack. They
call it a snack cake. Technically, they say this is
the perfect thing for you to eat between breakfast and lunch.
So it's sort of like brunch in a little cute package.
And it's a cake like thing made with real milk chocolate.
It's a candy bar. It's a breakfast candy bar, I know,
(27:58):
but just seeing something about a snack cake and the
package will come with a little two pat cakes sort
of like Reese's cups too, and it'll be only a
dollar ninety nine and available in convenience stores. I can't
wait for breakfast. Eminem's so good man. I saw this
headline and it sort of deceived me. Prince Harry Megan
(28:19):
Markle sign multi year Netflix steel Did you see that? Yeah?
But I don't give a crap about those two at all. Oh,
I give lots of craps yea. And I clicked on
it and I'm so excited, Like, what kind of documentary
real life the crown are we gonna get with this?
You know, separated from the palace or the royal family.
But they're just working to develop documentaries, feature films in
(28:43):
scripted television series like children shows and stuff for adults.
There was a little sentences that they may also appear
on camera in documentary programming, so I'm hopeful for that.
But you really like them, huh? I like anything royal family,
not as much as some people. A lot some people.
I know we're super obsessed, but I would say I'm
above average I'm so resentful of people that are born
(29:04):
into money. I just stand, what's that their fault? Ye?
Give it all away? And Megan marcle she married in
I know, but I don't know. I need to shake
that myself. Would you rather mean told the uber mask story?
What's that? Where? So? I guess that you can get
written up like say you get in an uber and
you don't have a mask, Well, the driver can make
(29:25):
a note in your profile like, hey, this person didn't
wear a mask. And so then the next time you
order an uber you have to upload a selfie of
you wearing a mask in order to have an uber
come pick you up. Oh nice, You get put like
on a list, and until you show her that's funny,
they're not going to pick you up. Okay. So yeah,
for those of you that weren't interested in Prince Harry
and Megan Markle. Also last, but not least, and this
(29:48):
is predicted, but the CMA announced that there will be
no live audience for the awards this year. It's going
to be essential personnel only. It's normally a bridgetone in Nashville,
tons of fans and people get to attend, but none
of that this year. No one's surprised, right, everybody gets
to do anything anymore thing? No, I guess maybe some
people thought it could, they could socially distance inside Bridgestone
(30:08):
in some way, shape or form. But they're not even
doing it at that venue because why would Why would you?
You don't need that much space you got as you
got one of Brooks over here, one I'm done over there,
you got one Osborne over there, a fly over there,
and over there is up there. I guess for the
host like hosting to a lot of it, Well, I
don't know you host things, so how much do you
(30:28):
depend on a live audience to help feel your vibe?
They won't be doing a comedy routine. There will be
no stand up type performance. I know it's hosting. I
did't announced it, have they? Oh I don't. I kind
of know Biden know, so I don't. I think I
heard from you. Maybe so, No, it won't be comedic.
So y'all, gonn tell us who's hosting? Well it is?
I mean it's people. It's not Brad and Carey. It's
(30:49):
not either one of them. I thought you said it
on the radio, but maybe not adults. I don't think, so,
don't say it. Okay, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That
was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news, Okay.
This fourteen year old named William Cabenus started his own
(31:10):
nonprofit again. He's only fourteen, and he makes his own
vanilla to support Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
He started baking and then he realized, like, I can
bake and support. What if I sell an ingredient that
helps support and people will buy it? So for thirty dollars,
you can buy eight ounces of vanilla, which he makes
(31:30):
from Madagascar beans, and then all the profits go towards
helping feed people. Oh, it's feel bad for vanilla. Why
because it's a real life flavor, yet it's associated with generic.
It's like, how did vanilla get that associated? Because vanilla
is a good flavor. Yeah. I love vanilla and it's
a taste. It's a distinct taste. However people are like
(31:52):
vanilla or Vanilla's like average? Yeah? Why well, I was
just going to shout out his website in case of
other people love vanilla too. It's vanilla feeds tomorrow dot com.
How cute is that? So? Inspired? Like promote vanilla now
for something. I love vanilla too. Yeah, I just feel
like it's been given the old s end of the stick.
As my grandma would say, all right, there you go.
(32:13):
That's all right, there you go. That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good. What's happening to friends.
Let's go over to Amy now with the morning Corny,
Morning Corny. What's the strongest vegetable? What's the strongest vegetable?
Muscle sprout? Morning Corny. It's pretty funny. Here is Alicia
(32:42):
from Seattle. I heard it on your podcast that you're
going to be in Seattle and just the head up
with the weather. Even though we get all for being
the most grandious and well, it does get really hot
and monkey, so do act an extra can of sun Street.
I'm going to Seattle today soon as the show's over.
Fly Land starts shooting my show. I've only been to
(33:05):
Seattle once and I think that was for American Idol
another time. It is so far up there, it's I
think the furthest place you can go from where we are,
Like we get on an airplane. It's the name of
place farther in the states, Alaska in the mainland. Yeah, yeah,
like in the in the forty eight the Continental. Okay, well,
Hawaii obviously right in the state. Oh, okay, I got it.
(33:30):
Kaitlyn tell told me the last night when I was sleeping,
because I talked in my sleep like crazy. And I
haven't been feeling great for a couple of days, and
I've had this scionus thing which I was dealing with
all last week on the air, and so I've been
taking stuff to sleep better. And so I took some
melotone and I took some like CBD sleep stuff, and
so I've been talking. So when I sleep hard, I talk.
(33:53):
And she I woke up this morning for us coming
in and she goes, hey, um, so can I tell
you something? And I was like, oh right, she never
asked to tell me something. And then I was like, yeah,
what's up. She goes, when you talk in your sleep,
you talk like a girl. What are you saying? I
don't know, but she's always like, I'm like, girl Like,
(34:13):
apparently in my sleep talking voice is like a girl. Huh?
How about that? Okay. I didn't know if the tone
was girly or the topic was a girly possibly both,
because because I was explaining to her what my dream was,
and she was like, yeah, that's a pretty girly dream
and you sound like a girl when you talk, so yeah, yeah,
well interesting. Yeah. The Friday morning conversation with Thomas Rhett
(34:38):
Good Thomas Rrett name having a conversation before we get started.
I could hear it and he's like, hey, how are you?
I'm like, what's having it that? You go? I'm good man.
What do you feel like it's starting to pick up
a little bit for you, Like, are you starting to
get the band back together and play a little bit? Yeah,
we are. We've been rehearsing the last couple of days,
and uh, this is the first time I've seen any
of them since October. So it's been nice to get
(35:00):
to play music with with the band and and get
to do a couple of things this week. What's coming
up for you? Um ACM Awards, um playing the Ahart Festival,
which is gonna be super fun, and UM a couple
couple of things here and there. But those two, for
sure is what we're hearsing for. All right, Thomas Redd
is here with us, you know, I remember it's probably
been a few months. I don't know, time's just weird. Now,
so I may be wrong on my time. When be
(35:22):
a Light came out and I said, hey, somebody came
to me and said, hey, Uhcar's putting the song out
and it's really great. It's not a radio single. Yeah,
he's just putting it out because he just loves the message. Yea.
And so we played it on the show a bunch
of that morning. But then it just it caught. Yeah,
and where you had two songs, you had the woman
(35:42):
John Party, the beer you Can't fixer I can't fix
and this one kind of running one after the other accidentally, right,
am I right on that? Yeah? For sure? I mean
I wrote the song on the road last year under
completely different set of circumstances, just wanted to kind of
get a message out there about kindness and um. When
when all this stuff started to happen, I think it
was February, and I knew that everything was going to
kind of shut down. I called George and Scott over
(36:05):
the label and I was like, hey, man, I'm turning
thirty in March. A birthday has been canceled because we
can't go anywhere, can we can we just put out
a song on my birthday? And this song seemed to
be one of those ones that I felt like people
could use in their life, you know, just a little
bit of encouragement during such a strange time. And on
the other end of that, we wanted to all of
us songwriters and the label are given our royalties to
(36:25):
music cares to help all of our for my band,
for everybody's bands in Nashville, for for bands you know
all across the country, and so um. Basically, man, it
took on a life of its own and never in
a million years so I think this would be a single.
I just wanted to put it out. Um, it kind
of started to catch on, and it's just been amazing
to watch the reaction from people you know, across the country,
in the world, just kind of how this song hit them.
(36:46):
So it's been pretty awesome. Keith urban'son at Rebaison at
Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin. Yeah, why those one too? Why
those four? I mean, I know why they're all fantas
I say, but why did you choose them individually? Well?
At first I thought maybe I'll just do this by myself,
but then as we started to kind of record the song,
(37:07):
I was like, man, I feel like it's a It's
a great message coming from me, but I feel like,
you know, how much more powerful could the message be
coming from UM? For sure? My heroes and people that
people that a lot of ore that are that our
fans love. UM. I've also always wanted to do a
song with reba Um that was a long shot. UM
reached out when she said yes, where You're like, holy cred,
I mean freaking out, I mean bucket list moment to
(37:27):
do a song with reba Um for sure. UM. And
I've got to know Chris Tomlin a lot over the
last couple of years. I've been a part of his
his new record that just came out, and then I've
known Hillary for forever and m and then Keith came
on and sang the song and played the whole guitar
solo and UM. So these people are all people that
I've wanted to work with for a long time, and
it felt like all of our our views kind of
aligned with this song and I felt like they could
(37:47):
just make it that much cooler and that much bigger.
So UM, it was really cool to record a song
with all four of them. The nerd music question is
did you record it all yourself? First? And then you
slowly pulled you out in places put them in. Yeah. Yeah,
so I mean we have it. There's definitely a version
with just my voice on it, and so that was hard, dude.
It's hard getting in the studio and trying to figure
out how to put four people on a track and
(38:09):
give all of them enough time for you to be
able to kind of realize who's singing the next part.
So we had about sixteen different edits flying around, but
we finally played it on this one. So Thomas Retz here,
I know you have. Your guitar was like a c
foam green it is, and I didn't know that this
was a guitar I was playing, and I wore the
same color shirt. It's like a green screen. We see nothing. Yeah,
(38:30):
so if you don't mind, I mean, I haven't heard
you play this song live ever. Here's don't think I
have either, because be a light there we go. Hey, guys,
So because of licensing roles, we can't play anything with
music on this iHeartRadio channel or podcast anymore. But you
can't go to Bobbybones dot com to see it. We
hate that we had to take it down. Wasn't our decision,
but I just wanted to keep you up, and we
(38:51):
wanted to keep up as much as possible. So I
go to Bobbybones dot com to watch or here whatever
you're missing right now, and thank you for listening to
the show, and sorry about all the legal stuff. Where
were you when you wrote that song, man, I was
on the road. I was up in Canada actually on
a on a run, and I had three of my
buddies writing with me, and I'd had its title on
(39:13):
my phone for forever called in a World Full I
Hate to Be a Light. And we uh, we kind
of started this thing right before meet and greet and
it was all I could think about for the rest
of the night. We came back at the bus and
finished at like two o'clock in the morning, and everyone
was like, this is this is cool, but you know,
what are we gonna do with it? We're gonna put
on a new record or what? Um? And then it
all kind of worked itself out just we released it
in March, and Um, like I said earlier, Man, this
(39:34):
song means so much to me just because as an artist,
UM with a with a band that's been with me
for five or six years, plus all the artists I
know that. Um, there's so many bands that are just
out of work, you know. I mean nobody, nobody can play,
nobody can can do their craft. And um, I was
like talking to George the other day about, Um, there's
a lot of band members out there that literally cannot
pay their mortgage right now. Um, and so they're selling
(39:58):
every bit of gear that they got, you know too
to pay that rent or to even buy groceries for
that matter. And so um, this this song hits home
for me so much because just that with every single
spin that happens, all that money goes towards music cares
to help these people out. And so um, these people
are like my family, man, um, and that the people
that make these shows happen and make them possible. And
so um, that's why this song means so much. Man.
(40:20):
I love the song and I love the message, but um,
I love the fact that it that it really does
go towards directly. You can actually see it helping people physically. Um.
And so uh yeah, man, this is this is a
a heavy song and a heavy topic. But um, well,
being a little bit humble here, you gave up a
bunch of money. I mean, you're both a song he listen,
(40:40):
you got a number one song that's worth about a
million dollars overall, for sure, Um, and I ain't money
ain't going to you. You decided to give that up, yeah,
for sure, And so did all the other writers as well. Man,
I mean we were all kind of aligned on this,
and so I mean, honestly, any any any time you
listen to it or downloaded or whatever. Um, it's just
directly helping all of our our bandon crew families. All
proceeds benefiting the recording uh, the Academy Music Cares and
(41:04):
you know they've done a lot for much of my
friends in town too, for sure. Uh. Well, man's that's good. HEYU.
On a lighter note, what song do you play to
your kids or what's what song of yours do your
kids get stuck in their head the most? Um, we
listen to Crash and Burn to the point of I
can't stand the song anymore. Um. I mean it's like
on the way to school, it's on the way home
from school. That's like the only song they request of mine.
(41:25):
And they're pretty quick to tell me when they when
they don't like a song too so, but they like
your music though. Jenna they do, that's kind of all
they want to listen to. Oh really, yeah, Well if
what secondary though to you James Brown? Wow? Yeah? Is
that because you played it a lot and now they've
I think so, I mean, I think I mean me
as a kid, you know, when you when you listening
to what your dad or your mom plays it, you
kind of becomes a part of your of your story.
(41:46):
And so, I mean, we have dance parties in the
gym all the time, and it's usually it's mostly my music,
but we'll put on some some Bruno or some James
Brown every now and then and rock together. So all right,
Thomas Retz here, we're gonna come back in a second.
We'll kind of walk through some other of your hits.
He got a guitar. I'm asking to play a few things,
he laughs. And he brought a lyric sheet with him
because he said he hadn't played so long. He doesn't
know fifteenth number one this year. Whenever you first start,
(42:12):
you know, you're pretty precious with picking what song as
a single. Ye, your first couple, you're like, all right,
we really gotta Now that you're fifteen in is it
equally as precious toward let's try to find something that
hits or now, are you precious more to let me
pick something that feels good to me and then whatever
happens happens. I don't know, it's different. It's different every record.
I feel like, Um, I mean, obviously you want to
(42:32):
be in love with a song, like you don't want
to just put something out there that you think, oh,
this might sound like a hit. Um. I mean, in
the in the beginning of my career, I mean, when
you're trying to when you're trying to make a name
for yourself, you just you gotta have a hit or
at least a song that is polarizing enough to to
for people to know what your name is. Um. But
these days, I feel like, you know, I've kind of
I feel like I've carved a little bit of my
own path out, you know, to the last five or
(42:53):
six years. And so now when it comes to picking singles,
I mean, I have to like love the song first
of all, and if it happens to sound like a hit,
and that sho's a cherry on top. So whenever Beer
Camp Fix came out, I was like, all right, Thomas Rup,
you wrote that one, right, Yeah, I was like Thomas
Rup wrote this one, it goes this is a hit. Yeah,
Like as again, it's it's not very deep, like I
don't underlying, you know, when I had to do like
(43:16):
we do these cut by cuts, you know, when you're
putting your record out, and they were like, so tell
us about beer camp fix. I was like, I mean,
it's a pretty self explanatory. You know, it's fun, it's
a hit, yeah, exactly. And and sometimes you need those.
Sometimes you just need songs that people just don't think about,
you know what I'm saying. And in your set list,
you're also putting out singles. So when you play live,
oh dude, if you put out all the slow songs, yeah,
then you're just gonna sit up there. Anybody's gonna go
(43:37):
to sleep. And during a life that's a whole different thing.
I mean there's a time for that. I mean, one
day I would love to just go play theaters and
be like, no one stand up. Actually, everybody just sit
down the entire time because I'm just gonna sit here
and play a bunch of ballads. But for now, in
this in this life, I mean, if it were up
to me, when I sit down with the guitar. It's
it's a it's writing a ballad every time. So that's
why co writing is so special for me, because I
need somebody to say, we're not writing a ballad today.
(43:59):
We're going to write something fun and up tempo, um
and so. But yeah, when you come to your show
man and you look at your set list and you
have two or three ballads in a row, you're like,
here it comes here. It goes about seventy percent of
the crowd going to get a beer, and then they'll
come back when they hear something exciting. So well, let's
do a verse in a chorus. A beer can't fix you?
Do that? Have you have you said at home and
(44:19):
play done this? And I told you I haven't. I
didn't rehearse specifically for this so that I could see
if I know any of these songs. Here we go.
Is there a song in your set list that when
you're playing a live show, it's the easiest for you
to sing, regardless of you're sick or not. You're like,
this was right in, right in, no problems for you
to sing. The easiest song for me to sing? What
is that? Probably? I think sixteen is a really easy song.
(44:42):
For me to sing. Is it because it's not too
rangy and um, it's just kind of a you know,
straightforward kind of singer songwriter or type song. But I
would say that's the easiest. Most of my songs are
hard to singh and burn is miserable to sing. Yeah,
and we had to drop it a little bit in
the show. So why do you do that to yourself?
I don't know, because I think when you're in the studio,
you have your producers going, come on, man, we can
we can go up a little bit higher, and then
(45:03):
you record it and you're like, I cannot do this
on a Saturday. There's no there's no chance. Let's do
the easy one and give us a little bit of
sixteen You wanna do that one? Yeah? Yeah, I wouldn't
pick the one with the most words. Um. You know
Amy hosted your wife's Virtual Books, did yeah, And she
was kind of telling me some stories from it. And
is there anything in her book that came out that
(45:24):
you're like, dang it, say you know one second thought
maybe which I would have put that. Yeah, there's a
few parts. Honestly, Um, I would say reading the book,
I mean I laughed a lot. I cried a little bit. Um.
And there was a couple of parts where I wish
that I wouldn't have been made out to look like
such a jerk. Um. But there were certain parts in
our marriage for sure that I was a little bit
a little bit jerky, if you will, um, especially through
(45:45):
the adoption. UM. Not that any of this was really
my fault, but when when Lauren was in Uganda, I
was still She told you all this, but I'm back
in Nashville and I'm I'm playing shows. I remember there
was one night where she called me and it was
the second night of our of our Nashville dates, and
literally every one of our best friends, Lauren's friends, my
friends are at the show and I and Lauren called
me because it was like nine o'clock in the morning
(46:06):
and Uganda and all my friends were on the bus
and you know, we're all hanging out and having a
good time. And she hears all of her friends in
the background. Meanwhile, Lauren is, you know, seven months pregnant,
throwing up in a bathroom in Uganda. And so at
that moment, that's when Lauren was like, we are living
two complete separate lives right now, you know, And so
(46:26):
that was a really humbling experience for me, just kind
of knowing what she was dealing with over there, that
just the sense of a loneness while I'm kind of
living life as usual, you know, back in back in
the States, And so that part was was really hard
for us for sure, kind of getting over that and
getting going through some therapy, especially over that one night.
(46:47):
But coming on the other side of that, man, I
feel like I learned so much from that experience, and
you know, it just it just made me know that
in a marriage, you do have to just figure stuff out,
and you have to talk about it, and you gotta
be real about it and gotta be honest about it,
and so um, you know, hopefully there's somebody else in
the world that's reading that chapter going men, I feel
like I've been in that same position, and if they
can work it out, we can work it out too.
(47:08):
So maybe a little bit not that their husband's like
a superstar, but yeah, I think that that's important, is
that she was willing for both of you. I mean
you you willing to let her. Y'all share that part
with other helps them not feel alone when they're feeling lonely.
(47:28):
Maybe it is that they're pregnant and at home and
the husband's still just continuing on with his life as
usual when they're sick and or they're at home with
the kids and the husband's just doing his work dinners
and this, and exactly that it can get lonely, but
that you can come out on the other side and
for sure living testimony that live and love. That is
Lauren's book if you want to check it out. Yeah,
(47:49):
do you get any writing credit on that book? No? No,
she didn't ask me to do the forward like that. Oh,
she does have to say in the beginning that she's
that Thomas Rhett is Thomas Rhett's name. That's how that's
not her being kind of people think it's formal. Yeah,
but it is so funny what people think all of
our names are. I mean, there's still certain people to
(48:10):
think Lauren's name is Laura, and so they'll yell Laura
at concerts or whatever. And then people think our last
name is Atkins and it's Aikins, And they think Willa's
name is Willow Grace, and they think Ada's name is
Ava Jane, and so it's just like read the book
and yeah, but she had a dedicated thing in the
beginning to like, hey, guys, I'm not being I don't
know they're trying to be like I'm married to Thomas Rhett,
(48:32):
like that's his name. Yeah, all right, Center Point Road
Towards being rescheduled to kick off in June to twenty
twenty one. Yeah, they feel about that. Can't wait. Cannot wait? Boy,
me too. I can't wait till we get something that
feels like we're moving normal direction. I don't even need
to feel all the way normal. Yeah, I just need
to see that's progress for sure. I mean, this is
(48:54):
the long I mean, this is the longest I will
have not played a show in like almost ten years,
and it's very very strange. All right, well, well well
let's um. I'm gonna beg you for one more clip
of a song here. Okay, how about a little bit
of the song I listen to you before I go
to sleep every night. Happy man. Yeah. If I forget
the words of this and my career is over, let
me say this before you go. Yeah, that you're nominated
(49:16):
for ACM Entertainer of the Year. Yeah. I couldn't be
happier for you to be man, to be in that
upper upper echelon. I was with you whenever you want
Male Artist in Vegas, and I was super pumped for
you then. And I'm so excited to see you up
in that level because you deserve to be there. And
I feel like, this is just my editorial here that
because you do things differently, sometimes you get left out
(49:39):
of things. Yeah, and I think what got you here
is also what's keeping people from going we should include it.
So to see you actually included in the biggest and
most deserving category for you to me, I love thank you.
I'm gonna cry. I appreciate that now. This We've been
working so hard. I mean every year we get into
rehearsals and that is the goal, you know, for that
for that nomination. So it feels really good and thank you.
Thanks for being a porter. I appreciate it until you leave,
(50:02):
and then I'm like, all right, who's next? You know, man,
I'm just kidding. I'm totally kidding. All right, there he
is Thomas Strett. I'll mention one more time every time
you download or you stream blight that ray. If you
know what I'm playing the clip underneath me here, that
music will go toward the Music Cares Foundation to help
a lot of the crews of bands, the artist c
who aren't making any money right now, and Tom Shred
(50:22):
gave up all of his money for writing this song
and performing this song to make sure that they can
afford their mortgage and groceries. And so just love you
coming in. I always love to see you. Great to
see him. My friend there is Thomas Wright ever read it.
It's time for the good news. The residence of Lake Charles,
(50:43):
Louisiana knew that Hurricane Laura was headed for the city.
There was a mandatory evacuation in place, but someone had
to protect babies. At Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women.
Fourteen nurses, two nurse practitioners, three respiratory therapists stayed behind
and watched over the nineteen babies through the storm. I
never think about that when a storm's coming. Yeah, it's
crazy awesome. Some of the babies were born premature somewhere
(51:05):
on respirators and ventilators. There was no air conditioning. The
water went out in the hospital through the night. One
of the doctors posted updates about all the babies on Facebook.
And that's just said, that's a really great thing, huh
that they said, We're supposed to evacuate, but we're gonna
stay with the babies. Wow wow, wow Wow. Despite it all,
the NIKI staff kept all nineteen of the baby's safe
through the Category four storm. How about that shout out
(51:29):
to you guys. That's what it's all about. That was
tell me something good. This guy's at the beach and
people are like, what in the world's happening with that guy?
There was a shark that had been into him and
was still on and just kept biting harder and harder.
Oh yeah, people could not believe what they were seeing.
It's fish clung to him on the beach in Martin County,
(51:51):
and every time we tried to pull it off, it
just bit down harder. I like, feel the pain right now.
The chilled man laughs and jokes with a gathering round.
You know, everyde had their phones up too, like interesting,
like crazy, like look at this, look at this putting
the little jifs on there, shark bite jifs um. So
here's the clip of the guy on the beach with
a shark on his arm and he responds to someone
(52:12):
asking does it hurt? Here you go, does it hurt?
I'd buy a hard two of people were stuffing, got
something in his wild or something? Yeah, his arm, No, yeah,
that's syringe. Oh so that little it'll release them out. Yeah,
(52:32):
it really has. The shark's like five foot long. Oh
my gosh. And you know when you bend your arm
inward like to make a muscle, it bit that's the
inside part of the elbow and it's just gripping on it.
And he's standing. He's a really buff dude too, and
he's kind of smiling. But they couldn't get the shark
off of them. Isn't that crazy? Can't you can't just
like spank it, Yeah, spank it. Can't you hit him
(52:54):
in the nose with the oar that happens to their
eyes or something. So that was a crazy story. Another
one was do you know who Octavia Spencer Rose, the actress? Yes,
she was in The Help, She was in Hidden Figures. Yeah,
and so she was talking about um years ago whenever
she moved to Los Angeles. It was, you know, in
(53:15):
the nineties or so. Her car broke down and so
she's off on the side of the road. Her car
broke down and some like motorcycle guy comes up behind her.
You see the story. No, some motorcycle comes up behind her.
She's like, oh great, and she was looking to have
somebody help her. But she was like, I don't know
because I listen if some motorcycle pulled behind me and
all leather and black, and I'm like, I've seen enough
(53:35):
TV shows and no, maybe that's bad news. And so
she said, I had an audition. My car was broken down.
No one would help me until this guy in a motorcycle,
his motorcycle helmet, sunglasses, like do you need some help?
Took it off. It was Keanu Reeves. I was about
to say, is it him older? She goes, I kid
you not. I was gonna have him get in and
I was gonna push it, but he was like no, no no, no,
I can push you. And I was thinking, oh no, no no,
(53:56):
you're not touching my car, she said. In order to
pay it back to him over the every time he
has a movie out, she goes to the opening weekend,
how any of these stories are out there? Like, Gano's
a great guy. Wow, I'll be watching Bill and Ted
on the flight today to Seattle, the new one. You
haven't seen it at home? I have not. I cannot
wait to hear you. You haven't seen the new one. No,
we're watching it this weekend. Okay, she goes, I go
(54:19):
to his movie every opening weekend, whatever he has, because
that's a very sweet thing to do. And then I'll
wrap on this. A guy in Texas proposed to his
girlfriend and when she turned him down, he hit her
with a bike tire. He was arrested for assault, which
top falls his marriage proposal was turned down. Police get there.
There's a woman a sun dress yelling for the police
opened her. The victim had injuries to a knee, both shoulders,
(54:41):
her left wrist had some blood, and she had some
blood coming out of the corner of her mouth. She
told them that her and this dude have been dating
for several months. Four days earlier, she moved in with
him and he was working on a bicycle and said, hey,
do you want to get married? But she said no.
He got a bicycle tire and frame and hit her
with him. Police on him inside the house with his
mom and said he refused to come out. All these
(55:03):
things make sense, Yeah, but are you moving with someone
you've been dating for a while? What that question could
come at any point? Oh? The purpose? She also had
to know he was nuts that's why she said no. No,
but no, why do you live with him? No? No,
I don't know. I thought the opposite of where you know,
like the guy should know when someone's gonna say no,
(55:23):
like you have an idea. If you're going to ask,
you know they're going to say yes. There's all things
two are both bad as crazy because crazy doesn't move
in with not crazy or not crazy doesn't move in
with crazy. You gotta be the same sensibilities draw people together. Okay,
I mean that makes sense too. It has to be
just this volatile relationship. And maybe he thought yes, I mean,
(55:46):
she just moved in, but then he go hides hides
with his mom. I love that part. All right, it's
Labor Day weekend. Do you know what Labor Day means? Yeah,
recognizes all the labor that we do, so it gives
us a day off pretty much. Yeah. Labor Day paste
tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and
(56:06):
is traditionally observed in the first Monday in September. It's
also the unofficial end of summer. So because we love
hard working Americans, we're gonna do a little American trivia today,
all right, you asked trivia to celebrate. Are you ready?
This would be an easy US trivia, so you all
can BM. But when you're you miss it, you're eliminated.
It's easy, though, okay, but when it's easy, suddenly it's hard.

(58:23):

in geography, Lunchbox, what state is Mount Rushmore located? Good? Gracious,
(58:51):

Actually Edie has gone having no I understand, but no
one really. I want to go like it's over there
where it's in the area where there's not a lot
of population. And I know Chelsea from teen Mom is
(59:12):
from one of these states, but I don't know which one.
She's from Okay, say it which one? What's your answer?
I'll go South Dakota. See he was messing. Now you
do this. You go on. It was either North Dakota
or I don't know, Like right out of the gate,
(59:33):
be like, okay, it's either North Dakota or South Dakota.
You're like, it's one of those states. I'm on the mic.
I'm gonna take all my sweet time. Like, um, Eddie,
how much time do I have? What president is on
the twenty dollar bill? Oh? Okay, let's see. Let's just
(59:54):
go down the dollar bills real quick. Um, George's on
one of those dollars that George. It's Green Hamilton. I
think is rectangle at George Abe Hamilton's ten. Let's go,
um is it? Jackson? Andrew Jackson? Correct? Nice? Everybody? All right?
They get a lot harder here. Amy. Okay, you're up first.
(01:00:14):
And what city was the Declaration of Independence signed? H in?
What city was the Declaration of Independence? That's also where
the Liberty bell is? Why do I think it was signed?
(01:00:35):
Where that bell is? That bill is? So I'm thinking Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Philadelphia,
pennsyl In an answer, Pennsylvania's though date so Philadelphia. Is
(01:00:56):
that your answer? That's my answer? Correct, lunchbox. You must
be how old to run for president? Thirty five? Correct? Eddie?

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from what country? France? Correct? Wow, lunchbox.
(01:01:17):
What's the smallest state in America? It's that state. There
aren't a lot of people there because it ain't that big.
Let's go down the fifty states. It's not Alaska or Alabama, No, Arkansas.
B pick what's the smallest state, lunchbox, Come on, lunch
(01:01:40):
I'll go with New Hampshire. You think he's right or not? Guys,
I don't think we go over us all the time.
It's like Rhode Island or yes, you already said he
said New Hampshire. He said New Hampshire. New Hampshire isn't correct?
What is it? What up? I forget Rhode Islands even
(01:02:01):

We're down to just two people here. Amy, who was
the first first lady Martha? Correct? Good one who wrote

each branch of the US government to have its own powers?
Here we go a branch legislative, judicial? Which system allows
(01:02:42):
each branch of the US government to have its own powers?
Oh gosh, the name of the system, it's the the digestion. Yeah, Eddie,
any five seconds from you. Let's go. Let's go legislative,
he says, the branch of legislative. Answer is separation of powers,
which makes Amy winner. I'm proud to be an American.
