Speaker 1 (00:01):
Transmitting Liza, Welcome to Friday Show Morning Studio Morning.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I want to start with a voicemail. We got go ahead.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
So I was just on Instagram and I saw lunchboxes
post of the Crocs and how he said one for me,
another one for me. Just curious, were they freeze and
did he take more than one pair?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
So I've heard about this from other sources, So lunchbot
you can go first.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Yeah, at the CMA, like where we do interviews for
the artists leading up to the CMA Awards, there was
a Croc booth and they had a wall of Crocs
and they had iPads there and you got to order crocs,
and so I went and ordered crocs for me.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I ordered crocs for my wife. I ordered Crocs for my.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
Three kids, and then I got me a fuzzy pair
of Crocs like the warm ones for the winter.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So they weren't there. You just ordered it.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
They ordered, Yeah, And I got the email and it says,
let me see what it says. It says that my
order has been confirmed and I'm not sure when they
will arrive though.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, Morgan, were you.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
With him, Yeah, Oh yeah, I saw all this happen.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Did he He's been known to take advantage of situations.
Maybe this wasn't one of those.

Speaker 6 (01:20):
Uh no, you you definitely were just supposed to take
like one pair. The artists were allowed to do some
for their camp, but the rest.

Speaker 7 (01:29):
Of it, like we couldn't.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
We didn't even tell if it was actually for the
radio people at all.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
That's the way. It wasn't even offered to you.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
No, I was ordered number I was ordered number one
fifty five, and I'm confirmed my order from crocs CMA
Media Remote Portal is confirmed. Your package will ship and
we will send you a notification email boom.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
So it really they didn't go say, would you guys
like a pair of crocs.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
No, at no point attended anybody from CMA come over
and be like hey, like everybody's welcome to go get
one of these, you know, here's how many you can
have whatever.

Speaker 7 (01:59):
Never did that happen.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
But they were having artists there and doing some promotion
with the artists, and Lunchbot goes over there and pretends
he's an artist. He even took a polaroid over there
and like signed it like he was an artist and
doing this with the crocs.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's kind of funny yeah, I would do that. Pictures
ain't kind of funny, yep. I would be so nervous
so about like taking stuff because I'm just not a
good I'm just not good at being dishonest.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I mean, there was nothing dishonest. They were free. I
didn't do anything dishonest. I lady gave me the iPad.
I sat there and said, I want that one.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
That one. I guess I would have felt I was
being dishonest because it was for the artists that were there,
not for all of the people that were working interviewing
the artists. And they had like some USA crocs and
I was like, ooh, that was pretty cool exactly, and
I said, can I get those? And I want to
get a pair of form each one of my boys,
like like red, white, and blue. Okay, So I guess
that's the part to the fields where he got all
his family. Oh yes, yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
He was ragging about Christmas gifts for the kids.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
But the only problem is they didn't have the USA
ones and kids sizes, so I couldn't get the kids
ones and they didn't have any online they were all
sold out and those were two big so I didn't
get the USA ones.

Speaker 8 (03:03):
But it's like the artists really gonna go with an
iPad and I'm like, oh, I mean my crocs.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Oh, I don't see. I think they all probably did that,
or their management did it.

Speaker 9 (03:10):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
So what I would say though, is, and this is
a true question, please answer me truthfully, lunchbox. Do you
feel like you got one over on them?

Speaker 9 (03:16):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Okay, they could have taken that iPad away from it
anytime they wanted. Okay, but you saying that is you going?
You knew you were up to something. I guess in
your heart. Do you feel like you were sneaking free crocs?

Speaker 9 (03:28):
No?

Speaker 7 (03:30):
I think yes.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Do you feel like they were offered to you? Yes? Okay,
because they could have said at any time, but they
don't know who everybody is, Like you don't even know
who every new artist is.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
It's there, correct, But they could have said, hey, oh
what you know, what song do you sing?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Or something like that.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
But they could have had like proof of entry.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Another question, whenever you took like all the stuff from
Saint Jude, you should have gone backpacks. Those weren't for you.
Did you feel like you were getting one over on
the Children's Cancer Hospital? No, they were free backpacks but
for one a part. What about the gift cards for
the Christmas when they were given out one per Christmas?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Oh, that was good. That was at a restaurant on
the road. We haven't done that in a while. We
haven't gone back to that restaurant. Did you feel like
you were getting one over on the restaurant? Well, I
did go on one side of the room because it
was only like a ten dollars gift cards, so I
can't really buy anything with ten dollars.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
So then I went to the other side of the room,
got to get that at him because they weren't big enough,
and so I got thirty dollars worth of gift cards.
That way I could get a full meal. Did you
feel like you were getting one over on them?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I just called strategy, Yes, a little bit, okay that one,
maybe a little bit.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Is it amazing for you Morgan when he does stuff
like that.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Yeah, no, for sure, because you just don't know who's
watching and who's seen all this happen, whether it's artists,
people in the industry like CEA, who's hosting us, So
you just feel uncomfortable and he's and he's.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Bragging about it too.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
It's not that he does.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
It, you feel like he's didn't. Okay, if he's bragging,
why is he bragging because he knows he's just got
one over on if he's because if he were, if
it's just normal and he was getting that, it's like
a gift bag, you wouldn't be bragging about it. Yeah. No,
how long have I been wearing crocs? No, that's not
the question time.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
So you know what, I think I deserved it, and
now we're the truth. They were nice enough to give
me some pret pair of crocs. So crocs. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Shout out Boulder, Colorado.

Speaker 8 (05:09):
Shout out Boulder.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
That's where they're at. Well let's get the trut started.
Thank you everybody for being here. Did you get us
any you're just thinking about? Oh yeah, I didn't know
your sizes? Okay, you get a text? Easy text? Oh yeah. Man,
the reception there wasn't not good? Oh dang, that sucks,
yamous sin.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
There's a question to.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Be Hello, Bobby Bones. My girlfriend and I have been
together for almost a year. She still insists on splitting
everything down to the penny. Fiercely independent. She's a bit quirky,
which I love about her, but it feels a bit extreme,

(05:55):
especially when it's something like a coffee Jaska loosening up
a bit, or just like to go and inspect her boundaries.
Signed dating a penny pincher, I guess I wonder, is
she wanting display everything because you spend more money than her,
because that would be a thing, right, That would be
the penny pincher part of it, right, Or if you're
doing stuff but his tastes are a bit more expensive
and she's like, I don't want to pay for that.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
She's a big time in penny picture. She let him
pay so she can pinch all of her pennies.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
That's extra penny pinching, right.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
I think that she just needs to tap into her
feminine energy.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I think that if this is our thing, let her
do it. Yeah, Or you can divide it in different
ways so it's not so awkward on occasion. At the occasion,
So if you're getting a coffee, like, no one need
to split this, Okay, I'll get the coffee. This is
seventeen dollars. The next seventeen dollars thing, we'll keep track
of it. I'll get again. This is not what normal
people do, but this is the kind of stuff that

(06:46):
I do in my head, like I know what it's
like to kind of be ocd ish about stuff, because
this doesn't feel like full OCD, but it feels ocd ish.
I would let her do it with the idea of
you're trying to understand why she's doing it, because I
think instead of diagnosed saying the symptom, it's trying to
figure out what the actual and it's not a disease,
but I'm saying symptom, what the actual disease is, So.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Well, maybe the route behind why she's wanting to deadly
disease that way all the time.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah, instead of the symptom, find find the real reason
and then work work with her on that. Also, maybe
she didn't think you're in the future, Oh yeah, and
she's like, we're not together forever, so wonna make sure
to cover my crap ding. Yeah, I'll pay for me.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
It's okay for his needs to be met as well, though,
And if he has a desire to pay for her
sometimes like oh, he can express that like, hey, I
would really love to take you out and I would
like to pay for this.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
It sounds like he has if he's emailing us. But
I agree, but I think the way to meet that
is just kind of keep track of what you're spending
individually and fully spend and then lets the other person
fully spend after that, and said of having to split
everything because it's just awkward in the moment to be like,
all right, you hat a bagel, Starbucks coffee, it's a lot.
You have a Christy treat that is, it's a lot,

(08:04):
and it's awkward for everybody. But what I would suggest
one short term that long term, what happened back when
she was a kid that made her feel like you
needed to do this, like where is it? And then
work with work with that situation. I don't think there's
anything wrong with her. I think we all have our
our quirks and maybe you're alter sensitive to it. But
that's what I would suggest.

Speaker 8 (08:24):
Good luck.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
That's gonna be a tough one, but good luck with that.
Or let her pay for everything. But again, it may
not be yeah, that's not it may not be a
control thing. Yeah, but also it may be a full
control thing. But he's just calling her a penny picture.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
Yeah, I think that's what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Good luck, buddy, let us know how it goes. You
want though, all right, Bye. Here's a voicemail we got
last night.

Speaker 10 (08:44):
Hey, I'm listening here jamming out to Kane Brown and Marshmallow,
and it just drives me nut, says the guy who
spent years and years and years selling furniture. Just because
it's illiterative doesn't mean it's correct. The whole deal about
the king size bed right talking about the truck bed
that's wi like a.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
California You King.

Speaker 10 (09:00):
California King is not the extra wide King bed that's
the Eastern King. California King is longer and made for
people that are tall, not necessarily that much wider.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
So even though it's a.

Speaker 10 (09:12):
Jam, it's a really cool song. Every time I hear
it drives me nuts to hear him say California King.
Thanks guys, love the show.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
I love that guy too.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Wow, guy, he has to do something in beds too,
like his but like specially might special beds mattresses? Yes,
like he must spend a lot of time with beds
for that to trigger that.

Speaker 7 (09:31):
Could you turn the California King uh horizontal and then
it could be wise?

Speaker 2 (09:36):
It seems like too much work. I love it good.
Thanks for the call. You are insane, that's crazy.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
I never knew that.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Pile of stories.

Speaker 7 (09:47):
Have five things you should keep to yourself and never
complain about, okay, and a number one how much you
hate your job.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I think there's a group of people you can share
that with. But yes, not at your job out loud
so other people can hear.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
Yes, or just like complaining about it too much? I mean,
you can really drag down the vibe. Your partner's flaws
in at number two, because you should address that directly
with your partner.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Well, the problem there is you have your own flaws, buddy,
and so it's not like you don't have your own
and they're probably not complaining as much. And also get
over it or move on. That's all I say.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
Number three, how much you're struggling financially. This can make
people feel awkward.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah, there's a very select group people you can do
that with. You can't really do that when you go
to PF Chain's, you know, I mean you with a
bunch of people you just hang out with twice a week.

Speaker 7 (10:32):
Go you ahead, Uh, how you never have enough time
because nobody wants to hear everybody's busy exactly. And then
and at number five, how tired you are exactly? We're
all tired.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
We're all tired, and no one wants to hear how
much you work. No one wants to hear how your
Fens football team's doing. Nobody wants to hear the dream
you had last night. I have my own list of
these things nobody wants to hear. All right, what else?

Speaker 7 (10:52):
If you want healthier coffee? The new trend right now
is using maple syrup instead of sugar or anything else.
I don't know if.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Because maple syrup is natural sugar. But also don't they
add sugar to maple syrup?

Speaker 7 (11:03):
No, no, it's not. Maple is a natural, it's naturally
they don't add sugar to the way it comes.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I get what actual maple syrup is, but I'm saying
when it's package, you're telling me that no maple syrup,
they add sugar to make it.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
If you're getting like true maple syrup, it is sweet,
just like honey is already sweet.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Yeah, but here's my question. I don't know what true
maple syrup is. If I go to the grocery store
and get maple syrup, they add sugar.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
If you look on the back and the only we're
telling you if you look at the only ingredient, and
it's maple syrup. That's all that's in there.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I believe, I believe there's quitely good ones, but no,
that's not.

Speaker 7 (11:40):
Okay, Yeah, that's added. This is like the maple syrup
in a jar. And I don't know if maple tree
Farmers put this study out or what, but I've been
seeing it everywhere and they say, first of all, it's yummy,
but your blood sugar doesn't spike as much, and it
can help with digestion, and there's anioxcidents.

Speaker 8 (12:00):
As well, so it's not cheap.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I will say that, well, yeah, nothing natural is. It's
the opposite. It, like anything organic, costs way more and
it's like, dude, it came from the earth, give us
a discount.

Speaker 9 (12:11):
What else.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (12:12):
There's this thing that's going viral about this company that
will let you DNT about your bosses anonymously and then
they will like send a note to the boss like
scolding them for what all they're doing wrong.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I would never open. I think it was spam or
scam or one.

Speaker 7 (12:27):
Of the Yeah, it's a way for you to anonymously
voice workplace grievances through professional scolders and.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
You just like to a a burner account? Is email
the boss yourself to a burner? Hey, I guess you could.

Speaker 8 (12:42):
Yeah, I feel like somehow that'll get tracked.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Yeah, no not if you mean really, it's almost possible
to track those unless you put your name in like
that subject head by accident.

Speaker 7 (12:51):
I would get way too nervous that something would get like.
I mean, first of all, I wouldn't do this, but
just like, what's the healthiest way if you have a
grievance with your boss, like a, oh, have a conversation
with the boss, right, but like, and here's the thing
about bosses in general and why bosses always feel like
their employees are up to something or wanting something.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Rarely is there an employee that ever has a conversation
with the boss and goes, hey, you're doing a good job.
An employee usually goes to a boss and something's wrong.
So anytime an employee wants to talk to a boss,
you're like, great, now, what's wrong. It's like just generally
in life, even though they're like a TV show, you
know't get a message on it. This is my favorite show.
It's like, oh, this show sucks. It's just general. So
a lot of bosses their a relationship with their employees

(13:33):
is not a healthy feeling one because the only time
the employees really come to the boss, unless they're friends,
is when something's wrong.

Speaker 8 (13:40):
It's so right, Like I've never gone to a boss
and been like, hey, boss, you did really good.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
It's like you said you did a great job. I
know people, I don't tell you that, but yeah, it's
dis grievance site kick Crocks.

Speaker 7 (13:50):
Yeah, I mean yes, boss is rules. I say, this
is not recommended, but I just thought it opens the
conversation of like, you know, it's the end of the
end of the year, you're doing some reflecting like no,
but as you enter the new year, like how do
you want it to be? And maybe you could have
some hard conversations.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
No, it's end of the yearmericrousness in January. That was
Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.

Speaker 7 (14:13):
Bobby.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
I'm gonna helpe you save money during the holiday shopping season.
So I feel like I gotta go to the store,
I gotta go buy presents. They say, don't go when
it's crowded. I'm gonna save you money. Right here. Researchers
found that people tend to spend more in stores, and
there are a lot of people when it's very busy
because they have to make decisions quicker. Mondays and Tuesdays
the best days to go. The absolute worst time Saturday

(14:39):
and Sunday after lunch. So if you want to save
I'm saving you in right now. Everybody say thank you.
Do not go when it's busy. You see people, they're moving,
the wrestling, bustling. Yes, you will spend more money. Also,
don't go to the store hungry. But we know that one.

Speaker 9 (14:53):
We know that one.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, yeah, that's moment's the world all right, there you go,
That's what it's all about. That was telling me something good.
I have some flirtyish moments with Morgan and different artists.
Do you guys want to hear these?

Speaker 7 (15:04):
Yeah, so CMAS they're flirting.

Speaker 8 (15:08):
You just listen.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
And I don't want to lead you. I don't to
lead the witness. Okay, does Morgan you're single?

Speaker 5 (15:14):
Yeah, I'm single?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Wrong with being single?

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Living it up?

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Okay during the CMAS and this is the last time
after today, we'll do very little CMA talk. But I
wanted to play this. Tucker Wetmore came in. He was
a farm football player. Uh now he's got a song
about to be number one, big deal. And so they
were talking about what he wanted to accomplish in life,
and his answer led all the guys to make it

(15:37):
awkward because of Morgan and single and just listen to
this and give me your thoughts.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Here you go, What is something that you hope to
accomplish before you die?

Speaker 5 (15:46):
Not music related?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
A family?

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Want to be the dad?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
I do, not anytime soon. That's that's probably like one
of my mangles.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
Oh that's really awesome, but not right now.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
No, no, god.

Speaker 8 (15:55):
No, absolutely not.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
I mean, no position to be a fallow any particular reason.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
You say that.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
Just still learning to take your career, you know.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Okay, got it? I thought you did. Sorry, not bad,
I'm sorry. Oh my god, stop it right now.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
We're done.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
We're done, guys are no no, no, no, no, no, okay, Doug,
it's really great to.

Speaker 7 (16:19):
See you think.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
So okay, that was.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Flirting with Morgan. That was Morgan flirting with him.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
I think it was just working like yeyundward flirting.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
But Morgan, like it stopped in her track like single?

Speaker 5 (16:37):
Can I tell you why?

Speaker 6 (16:38):
I had just seen that he had a girlfriend online,
So I felt.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Really bad that I brought it up.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
I guess they had just broken up.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
A little bit of that also, I felt like she
was a little but if.

Speaker 7 (16:49):
You're if you're thinking they're with someone and then broke up.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
And yeah. Here's another one was Morgan flirting with Riley Green.
Here's here's the clip.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
You know, Riley, listen, everybody thinks you're so attractive, You're
like the we did a whole thing on the show
that you're the hottest man in country music. But I
feel like what just made you even more attractive to
me is that you love Christmas as much.

Speaker 11 (17:11):
As I do, and I like, but nobody has a
chance because I'm flung up on this.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Elf girl exactly.

Speaker 7 (17:16):
We got to find the elf.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
I need to find Miles.

Speaker 7 (17:18):
Yeah, anything, okay, it's the hot. It goes high when
she gets voice if they say something that indicates their looking.

Speaker 8 (17:32):
She said, what makes me attracted?

Speaker 5 (17:37):
And did we see.

Speaker 9 (17:41):
On the list?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
That's not our voting, It was the list that we.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
Read, and Morgan said his name, yeah, but she just
picked we were guessing what.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Was on the list.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
Every woman would say his name, he's.

Speaker 7 (17:53):
Good looking cat.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
She got the bug in that one, because she's like,
you know what makes even hotter than.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Me excited to talk about Christmas?

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Morgan fled with him, right, Yeah. I think Morgan took
a little, very small, put a little effort in there
to let her let him know she knew that he knew.

Speaker 6 (18:14):
These are like outwardly though, I feel like this might
my personality personality.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
This one here is the lead singer of Parma Lee.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
It's Matt and they're talking about jeep ducking, putting those
ducks on someone's jeep.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
You have ducks on your jeeps.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I don't have a duck on my jeep.

Speaker 7 (18:33):
Have you never been duck?

Speaker 12 (18:34):
No?

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Guys have them. It's not just a girlfriend.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Guys have them too.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
I need to du du me.

Speaker 7 (18:40):
I'm okay, awkward, Yeah, because we get the duck thing.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
But also, is that why it's called duck? No, I
don't know. Moment she goes, I need to duck you,
it's like a good looking dude, Morgan, guys, it was.
We don't hate you for it.

Speaker 6 (19:02):
I know I'm not trying to though, Guys, is the
thing I'm genuinely not You're not.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
And then she would let me tell you She was
so disappointed because Warren Zyders never came by our booth,
and she kept going, and when is.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
He gonna come by? I'm gonna talk about him not
being on our Sexiest Man list.

Speaker 13 (19:15):
I need to tell him about he's not on our
Sexiest You.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Follow up because he commented on the video. He saw
it and he commented, and I was like, that would
be a cool follow up.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Well, maybe it's.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Everybody else making it.

Speaker 7 (19:27):
I was just having fun. Warren was her first guess. Yes, whatever, Yeah.
In the video like you and me, you're like Amy sexy,
mean lab and I was like George Straight and you're
like Amy, let me go to someone that knows what
they're talking about. Morgan.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I didn't say that. I said he was too old
to be on the line way I clearly you exaggerated that,
and that makes me feel small.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
I mean, you're taking away the attention from Morgan because oh,
that's not taking my intent.

Speaker 7 (19:51):
No, let's go back to Morgan. And sorry, Bobby, that
was my own insecurity of picking George straight, and I
took it out on you.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Now, Morgan, who would you who would you rather duck from?
Parmalley or Riley? Green on a question. You get one
night of duck right right, Yeah, you're gonna duct a
lot of stop the cmas are now streaming on Hulu. Yes,
that's Morgan geting thirty all right, thank you. A fun

(20:21):
fact Friday. Before penicillin, the best available cure for syphilis
was intentionally giving someone malaria. Oh, it would cause such
a high fever that it would kill the bacteria that
caused syphilis. Of course it could also kill a person
to wait, whatever, But that is how if someone got syphilis,
they treated it by going and getting them. I don't

(20:43):
know how they got the malaria, you know, did they
get a I don't know, but yeah, that's that's crazy. Huh.
That's my fun fact. That's fun. That's fun fun because
discovering penicillin, that's wild because it was just mold, right, yes,
and all of a sudden that's like killing back. That's crazy. Amy,
What do you have over there?

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Just the smell of chocolate can help relax you and
reduce stress. You don't even have to eat it, just
smell it.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Then I become stressed. How quickly can I eat it?
Because I want it? It's a different stress lunchbox.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Once a chicken lived without a head for eighteen months.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Back in the nineteen forties.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
He survived because he's jugular vein and most of his
brainstem were still left mostly intact, allowing it just enough function.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
To stay alive. That's so sad, that's wild if true.
But also where's the video because it's like the forties,
nineteen forties. No, we trust that the hey get your paper,
like do we trust that it just may but yes,
they can't actually, not for a minute anyway. Even now,
how about this one Indiana, big basketball state to himI.
Oh yeah, big basketball state has ten of the twelve

(21:47):
largest high school basketball gyms in the country. They don't
even have like the biggest cities, like Indianapolis is the
biggest city and it's ranked like the thirtieth biggest city.
But they have ten of the twelve largest high school
basketball gyms in the country. The other two that aren't
our Texas in Illinois. But look at Indiana. Shout out
basketball all right, eddie.

Speaker 8 (22:03):
Okay, So there are one hundred and fifty two people
in America named lol law huh.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I don't know if it's lull or it has to be.

Speaker 8 (22:12):
It's gotta be the lull right, and most of them
live in Wyoming, which is weird family name.

Speaker 7 (22:17):
Like, yeah, oh, go over to Lowell's house.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
LOLd Johnson. Yeah, the original Lalls were before there was
the ability to text or even know what laugh out
loud meant. They just probably the Lalls right, go over
to lowls All the third Yeah, oh you know my pops.
That's funny, Morgan.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
So this is for all the friends in Gilmore Girls fans.

Speaker 6 (22:37):
While Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham were dating, the Friends
cast would hang out at Luke's Diner, which is a
place in Gilmore Girls set, and then both shows would
also swap close with each other.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
So Matthew Perry, So the other person you mentioned though
from Gilmore Girls.

Speaker 5 (22:49):
Yeah, Lauren Graham. She's one of the main characters in
gil Mom.

Speaker 7 (22:52):
God, well, not the mom mom, because there's a grandma,
a mom, and a daughter.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
But that's a grandma. That's her mom.

Speaker 7 (22:58):
True, But if you're talking about her, then that's her mom.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
But if you're saying the mom, it's the mom on
the show and not the grandma. Correct. Okay. The head
football coach at the University of Michigan quit to prospect
gold in Alaska. He actually struck it rich like that
was cool eighteen ninety seven, but he was a head
football coach University of Michigan.

Speaker 9 (23:18):
Was like, I'm out of this.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I'm gonna go look for gold, and then.

Speaker 8 (23:20):
He hit they're still looking for gold in Alaska. There's
a whole TV show about it.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Really.

Speaker 7 (23:24):
Yeah, wait, I'm going to google when cotton candy was
invented because I think that was also in eighteen ninety seven,
and I just remember reading that a dentist invented it.
Isn't that crazy.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
I think we talked about it. Oh we did.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
Maybe that's why I know it, because it's just in
my head.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
It was like I found this out, like, no, this
is from our shows.

Speaker 13 (23:40):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:41):
God, guys. Sometimes I'm like, why is my brain rumoring
this and it can't rerun that's called like fairy okay.
Cotton candy, also known as fairy floss, was invented at
eighteen ninety seven by a dentist who was craving something sweet.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
That's the same year.

Speaker 9 (23:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:56):
Well, when Bobby said eighteen ninety seven, my brain thought
of cotton candy.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
It's pretty crazy. I was finding rubbing off on us.
We're learning things. Another one, Anderson Cooper has no formal
journalism training. He got his degree in political science from
Yale and did his summer internships at c i A.
He just started doing like traveling, spending his own money,
going overseas with a camera to like where Middle East
conflict was.

Speaker 8 (24:16):
His mom is like famous family.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Very very wealthy. Yeah, that's how he keep the plane
tickets overseas. But like he still put himself in very
dangerous situations in order to be like, look, I'm covering
this crap.

Speaker 8 (24:26):
You remember him on one, sure.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Cooper back in the day. The original reels have gone
with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz and many other
classic movies. They're stored underground and Assault Mine in Kansas
to be protected. Well, now everyone knows, we don't know
which one. Yeah, a lot of there's a lot of
can that, a lot of can't. There's a lot of can't.
Morgan cans are pretty big, yeah, exactly. No.

Speaker 8 (24:51):
The salt mills, a lot of salt mills over there.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
No, they're just very somewhere under Yeah, it says under
assault mine, not a mill o salt mine. Lost salt
minds Morgan, you hang out. No, they're Friday like field parties.
You guess that's aalt my parties.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
We have lots of field parties, not a lot of
AsSalt mine parties.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Should all right, there you go. I'm it's time for
the good news.

Speaker 7 (25:17):
There's his husband, Andrew, and he just won Husband of
the Year with his wife's fortieth birthday gift. Our name's Jennifer,
and they both volunteered together at Chesapeake Animal Services. They've
been doing that for over years. They obviously love dogs,
and one of their own dogs died unexpectedly. Jennifer has
been really down about that. So for her fortieth birthday,

(25:37):
he came up with an idea to pay forty adoption
fees for people like in her honor, and so those
fees are covered. So if someone walked in that day
and was like, hey, I want to adopt a dog
and be like, oh, guess what your adoptions paid for?
Because of Andrew here and his gift to his wife.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
That's cool. Hope you also got a real gift. But
that's cool.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
That is a real gift. No, no, no, I think
covering forty.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
I think it's amazing way to give it back and
she loves it. But I hope for him he also
got her something for her because fellas.

Speaker 8 (26:04):
But we know what's up.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
We still got to get a gift.

Speaker 8 (26:06):
We do.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Even if we do something like that, I get my
wife a gift. I think that is an amazing gift
to give back in her honor. If I still should
have got it a little something.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
This is her Jennifer's birthday. Wish is that more people
will visit the shelter and adopt. I know she wants
to all have homes. And now he's attributed in her honor.

Speaker 13 (26:23):
For of the year.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Hopef they got a little treat I hope they got
a little treaty. Another treat. There you go, all right, that's
what it's all about. That was telling me something good.
My voicemails from last night. Go ahead, hey, Bobby comment
about Eddie saying he's gonna donate bone marrow.

Speaker 10 (26:37):
I actually donated bone marrow back in June.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
And Eddie is too old. You had to be forty
years old or younger to do it. So sorry, Eddie,
you're too old.

Speaker 9 (26:46):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Is that what you found out through your research that
you should have already been doing?

Speaker 8 (26:50):
No, I haven't even researched yet, but that's crazy. I mean,
he saved me time.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
No, this is not the gospel. This is like a
kid learning something on TikTok. You need to find out
for yourself, meaning don't google. You have to talk to somebody,
a doctor, a medical specialist. Yes, so we may actually
put him on the air as well. Okay, okay, because
if you google it, you're not gonna like what it says. Well,
it says that anyone you must be between the age

(27:14):
of eighteen and sixty.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Okay, it sounds like this guy's already done it though,
and they said, ah, you're too old.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
But he may be what they call.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
A geriatric doner.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
No, I don't like that unmarrowed. Oh that I made
that up.

Speaker 8 (27:28):
That sounds terrible.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Now it sucks to him, all right?

Speaker 10 (27:30):
Giving me Travis North Carolina, just wondering what y'all's thoughts
for on Morgan Wall and not being at the CMA's.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
He's the best country.

Speaker 10 (27:37):
Singer out there as of now, and I was just
wondering what y'all thoughts were.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
I'm fine with it. What's an award show anyways? And
these days I said, oh, that was kind of funny,
but we don't know why he wasn't there. No, but
he wasn't there. That's kind of funny. And he won
Entertainer of the Year, and I feel like they may
I'm not sure which award show. You know, there was
a point where one of the you know, one of them,
are like, hey, you're not welcome here when you got
in all the trouble. And although at the time some

(28:03):
felt that was just if I were him, maybe I'm whole.

Speaker 8 (28:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I don't know the reason. It's always kind of like, yeah,
he showed that. I don't know. I am not a
system guy. I am often held back by the system.
The country music man, the corporate country music world does
not enjoy me. So I like it when someone else
who has far far more reach and credibility than I do,

(28:28):
who also isn't at times embraced by the system, or
sticks it to him, because when I stick it to him,
it's more like you're poking with your pinky. When he
sticks it to him, it's almost like he's doing one
of those that the swat team comes up to the door. Yeah, yeah,
mine's like a pinky poke. His is a battering rama. Yeah, Yeah, yeah,
so ah, that's pretty funny. I'm glad he won. I
thought he deserved to win. Thought pretty cool. All right,

(28:48):
just get over to Amy in the morning Corny, the
Morning Corny?

Speaker 7 (28:55):
What did the turkey say when he met the president?

Speaker 8 (28:57):
What's happening?

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Pardon me?

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Funny good one? Yes, that was the Morning Corning. That's
what I'm talking about right there, we're broad contract.

Speaker 7 (29:08):
Okay. I thought about this though. Would it be better
if I said? What what did the turkey say when
you bumped into the president?

Speaker 2 (29:13):
What you said?

Speaker 8 (29:14):
Part of this? Not a big difference. What's the munch line?

Speaker 14 (29:16):
Here?

Speaker 7 (29:17):
Starting? Same punchline?

Speaker 2 (29:18):
But like you would, not a difference.

When you bump into someone you say party.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
You achieve the highest of high with that joke.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
Okay, keep that one in your back pocket for Thanksgiving Day?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Do all the other turkeys hate the one that gets pardon?
I don't think a turkey would understand what hate is even.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Yeah, and they don't understand because they're gone got it.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
But even if they hear about it, I don't know
they know English. We don't know that they're about to die.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
It's true.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
There's a lot they don't trust me. Turkeys are alright,
both really smart and really stupid, Like when it rains
they look up and drown. They can do that we
took out of our whole life. It's the hardest, least
least area to shoot. You got to be the quietest
of almost any animal. But also if it rains, Oh.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
Mike, haven't they learned to stop doing that?

Speaker 11 (30:07):
Wake up, Wake up in the mall?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
And it's from the radio and the Dodgas keeps on time.

we wanted to pass. I'm like, hey, this is awesome,
thank you guys, we love you. Whatever. For some reason,
Amy decided not to give the speech, and she was
I wasn't there. I was sick. Amy was like, I
guess I won't do it. You let Lunchbox do it, right? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (38:58):
Because I did it last time, and so I thought
it would be nice to share.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
Okay, that's uhl of you.

Speaker 7 (39:05):
Yeah yeah, I just assumed like we should rotate. That
seems that that's what I thought was the right thing.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
I've not heard this yet. Now you guys know me.
What will my reaction be after I hear Lunchbox of speech?
I would say, you're gonna put your face in your hands. Okay, Amy,
it could have been worse. Oh okay, that's Lunchbox. That
would you like to set this up?

Speaker 4 (39:26):
I think I nailed it. I gave a shout out
to you know, all our fans.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
I'll spoil it. Don't do this speech again. You're gonna
be like, man, that's pretty good. Okay, this a lot
of emotions.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
The end. Pay attention.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
How long is it? Ray? Thirty? Okay, here's Lunchbox. This speech.
We were giving a CMA award, and action.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Man who would think of college dropout would.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Be here exactly the CMA award tonight. And Bobby has
been seeing all week a stomach bug.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
So please say a prayer for Bobby because without him,
we wouldn't be here.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
And I mean all the other shows that aren't.

Speaker 9 (39:59):
Over here winning the war.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Now we're here, we go, we gotta go, we gotta
go it. Why did you guys yell no, no, what
we need to say.

Speaker 7 (40:20):
We didn't yell anything he was trying to say, which
I don't know that we need to bring up any
other shows at all, but he was like putting it
out there to other shows like, hey, we're here to stay.
We're not going anywhere. Like we're not going anywhere, So
is that.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
The place to talk about other people?

Speaker 7 (40:39):
That's what That's where That was the part that was
cringe for me. And then they all start yelling, and
then we're being told like wrap it up, walk off,
and they're just still yelling, sort of like sticking it
to the man.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I don't mind shout to me. I appreciate that.

Speaker 7 (40:53):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
It wasn't that bad last time, Stoma felt better. So
for some reason, at like six point thirty two that night,
I was like, Wow, the reason.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
I'm saying, Eddie's like talking about you're gonna put your
hands your head in your hands, Like, oh, I don't
understand what you would put your head in your hands apart.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Can I just say this, we don't compete with a
single other show, So stuff like that is always mind
blowing to me. We don't. We don't compre We don't
compete with a single other show. We compete with people
listening to podcasts, with people living life, watching YouTube videos.
We don't compete with other radio shows. Like, nowhere in
my mind do I ever even think about another radio
show ever. So that's like ten years ago. Maybe that's

(41:29):
how you do it. There's no competition in mind radio show. Yeah,
he's what show's youre talking about? Where this day?

Speaker 4 (41:35):
Well, what we're saying is like, you know, you want
to win that award. You're like, man, how do I
win that award? I was just letting them know, hey,
we're not going.

Speaker 7 (41:40):
In the category.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
No I know, but in my mind, we don't compete.
We're not fighting for people versus another radio show. We're
fighting for people versus every kind of media and out
there listeners.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
I was talking about winning the award. They are looking
at us, going, man, I want to win that award
one day, but they ain't gonna win, so you want
to yell there, we're not leaving. We can't win it
next year because you can't win it two years in
a row.

Speaker 7 (42:01):
It's only every other year.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
We are hopefully they stick it to us next year.

Speaker 8 (42:04):
Whoever wins it.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
I want to send him a text and be like, hey,
when you get.

Speaker 7 (42:07):
Up there, like, where are y'all?

Speaker 2 (42:08):
You were never show today losers.

Speaker 14 (42:10):
Yeah, they say that that's okay, that's so what do
you think?

Speaker 8 (42:14):
What do you think?

Speaker 7 (42:14):
It's fine?

Speaker 9 (42:15):
It was him.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
He was also being pushed along Raymundo and Scuba, and
I can hear you guys heard that you're pushing him along.

Speaker 8 (42:24):
I did not yell go back to the table and
he saying wrap.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
But I think that was you saying yeah, yeah, we
were drunking. Amy, you just have to be the leader.
This is on you a little bit. But Amy's refusal
to leave too. She goes, We're not no.

Speaker 7 (42:35):
I turned around and I was like, I'm leaving immediately.
I think it was the first one off the stage.

Speaker 9 (42:41):
Thank you, Bobby Bone.

Speaker 4 (42:43):
Show today is this story goes it's from Idaho. We'd
all say teenagers are really stupid, right, No.

Speaker 9 (42:51):
Not at all.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
I wouldn't think so, I think there's some yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
So there's a group of teenagers driving in an suv
and he's driving, eighteen year old and he's swerving all
the road, having.

Speaker 13 (43:02):
So much fun, and his buddy's like, oh, man, what
if we light your armpit hair on fire? Yes?

Speaker 9 (43:06):
What if? What if?

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Okay?

Speaker 13 (43:09):
And so they said, yeah, let's try it. Let's try it.
So they pulled out a lighter as the guy's driving
and let his arm bin on fire.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
And then then then then what there's nothing else? Then white,
it hurts. They slap it out.

Speaker 13 (43:20):
He wreck So I went, uh, he's like, god, he
flipped his car.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
Oh, there's just not a If the armpit hair was
three feet long, like you rapunzeled that armpit hair, I
can understand. Like the joke, let's light it on fire.
Even then it would be a good idea, But I
would get that because it would take a while. You know,
it's a long fuse. You ever see hair?

Speaker 7 (43:39):
No hair burns up so fast.

Speaker 14 (43:41):
I hear you.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
I'm just thinking, that's the only way that I would
even consider the possibility in my stupidest years.

Speaker 7 (43:46):
Okay, but then in your wiser years, you'd be like
hair is like.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Like, oh, it smells so bad.

Speaker 7 (43:51):
But it's not like a like a wick or a
rope like Rapunzel.

Speaker 13 (43:57):
Okay, I'm lunch bogs. That's your bonehead story of the day.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
I saw on Instagram Ray was spraying himself with the
Jake Paul spray, you know, when they were going down
in the car before the Mike Tyson and they kept spraying,
and then in the ring they kept spraying, and I
was like, I bet they're selling that. Whatever it is, Ray,
what is it?

Speaker 9 (44:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
My wife got me the body wash and it's the
axe type spray. But w what's W you mean on it?

Speaker 9 (44:22):
It's just his thing.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
It's like, yeah, that's what it means. Are you just
saying that?

Speaker 7 (44:26):
I'm saying that.

Speaker 8 (44:27):
What's the brand of it?

Speaker 13 (44:29):
Says it?

Speaker 9 (44:29):
But is it good?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
I will say the body wash is amazing. The Axe
spray could do better.

Speaker 13 (44:35):
But it's not acts.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Just so people know what I'm talking about. It's a
body spray.

Speaker 9 (44:39):
Ye, What's what's the name of it? Do you know?

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Mike's looking it up. It's it's just called W and
it's a body spray and they have body wash I
will say this, and I've said I think that's it's
the answer win cool.

Speaker 7 (44:55):
Oh yeah, I'm right.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
But it's literally called w that's yeah, the brand. Okay,
so they're the greatest promoters ever haha, they got us.
But also great athletes too, Like the other Paul brother
is a really good w W wrestler.

Speaker 8 (45:10):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
It's crazy, like he's legitimately good. And what upsets the
other wrestlers is sometimes he's like, I don't do a
lot of that extra like the either training or hanging out,
but he just talks about it and they're like, that's
not how we do it. So it's funny to hear
the old school guys like get mad. What's the other
brother's name called logan Ron Paul? The logan Ron is

(45:31):
Ron Paul is no.

Speaker 13 (45:33):
Politician senator?

Speaker 8 (45:34):
Yeah, oh yeah, Ron Paul.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
You know what?

Speaker 13 (45:36):
Too high?

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Shot? Too high with that? That's okay, So that would
have been funny too, Yes, we would have.

Speaker 9 (45:46):
Known who that is.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Their drink is good, Brian, Yeah, it's good. We were
in like Arizona.

Speaker 8 (45:55):
Where were we Arizona?

Speaker 2 (45:56):
And they were like, hey, should get the Paul. I
don't know which Paul. It is.

Speaker 14 (45:59):
I know.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
I was like on they were like, there's like super
citrus ginger strawberry lover lover. I don't know what it's called.

Speaker 9 (46:04):
So I got it.

Speaker 8 (46:05):
It's good.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
It's a good I mean, I I'm gonna say it.
I'm a fan of the drink.

Speaker 8 (46:09):
You drink it and you're like, oh this is delicious.

Speaker 9 (46:12):
What's in here?

Speaker 8 (46:12):
And you're like, uh, how does this have zero calories?

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah, I don't know that.

Speaker 13 (46:15):
I trusted it.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
I trusted about it much. I trust a fight they're
gonna put on.

Speaker 7 (46:19):
Yeah, yeah, Well, and just do as a parent. You
have to beware because there's the prime that has the
energy and then the prime that's like a hydration, and
you gotta know the difference because your kid will be
like I want prime, I want prime, and then you're
like giving them basically like a crazy red bull.

Speaker 13 (46:34):
Well it was good.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
It's all I know. Doctor the gas station, I got
it is good by everybody.

Speaker 13 (46:38):
Bobby Bone there go on the Bobby Bones Show now
formally boys, it is good to see you.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
If you don't mind, I'd like to walk through some
number ones. I have a point I'm gonna make here.
The first let's go back to twenty thirteen, right, Moondo,
what'd you play Carolina?

Speaker 9 (46:54):
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (46:54):
Give me a story about what you think about that
song when it was written or like the success of it.

Speaker 15 (47:00):
Just so much when our parents came and we got
our number one's plaques and everybody from our famili's got
to witness that, uh, you know, for the first time,
kind of their validation of supporting us through.

Speaker 13 (47:13):
The years, and yeah, getting to present those all.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Right, Just the way with Blanco Brown hit that one
twenty nineteen.

Speaker 11 (47:20):
Matt we were off in California and he decided to
go right and we had a day off.

Speaker 8 (47:26):
I'm like, we're going out, We're going to the bar,
You're going to write with some people.

Speaker 11 (47:29):
He came back with this song. I heard it for
the first time.

Speaker 9 (47:31):
I was like, Wow, this is amazing.

Speaker 11 (47:33):
This is gonna be big. We didn't have Blanco yet,
but that I knew it was gonna be a big song.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Question about that, because I hear the song and I'm like, man, catchy,
super catchy hook hook's grade? Do you ever think that
though it doesn't become a big song, are you like
this song's gonna be a Jenkins? We never get to
hear those stories. We're like, it's gonna be awesome, and
then it really doesn't.

Speaker 11 (47:53):
That was two years later also, so the song sat there.
Yeah he got Blanco on it. It made magic, but
it just sounded like I hit.

Speaker 13 (48:02):
But dear your question. Absolutely. I mean we've swung in
this before.

Speaker 9 (48:05):
We've had a million of those.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
I would think that about every song. I'd be like, oh,
by the mansion.

Speaker 13 (48:12):
This was maybe a lot of money, learn lesson about that.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Yeah, oh yeah, But then what would happen is I
would be scared to ever feel that way again after
I was wrong like nine times in a row. So
if you still are able to get it, like that
must mean what is it?

Speaker 12 (48:23):
Scott's always right, He's our go to guy when it
comes to picking songs. He knows which ones will be his.
He's what are you five for five?

Speaker 10 (48:32):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (48:32):
Three for three? Maybe four for four?

Speaker 2 (48:35):
But then it gets risky because and again now and
now they put pressure claim something in passing too much pressure.

Speaker 7 (48:41):
Now do you have you ever had the one where
it's like kind of the opposite. You're like, cause, song sucks,
but I guess we're gonna put it out and then
it does awesome question.

Speaker 9 (48:48):
Well, what a great problem to have.

Speaker 13 (48:52):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (48:54):
I think the other thing though, well, I mean when
we would put out Close Your Eyes that we didn't
really like that song.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
We didn't we as a single or in general or
they sing.

Speaker 15 (49:07):
We just didn't think much of it. It just sounded
like a song that sounded like a hit, and it
sounded like something that was familiar. So we were just
like you think, and then all of a sudden it
goes up and like goes top five and it's like, whoa.

Speaker 13 (49:19):
We didn't We didn't realize it was that catchy, you know.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
So who then recommended to you? And then do you
trust them more than next time?

Speaker 13 (49:26):
That was a lob of down over from the label.
He sent us a song and I heard it.

Speaker 15 (49:30):
I was like, man, kind of sounds like a couple
of things I've heard and I don't know where I've
heard it. And he's like, that's exactly why you should
cut it, That's what he said. And I said, yeah,
sounds for me. And I was like that's great.

Speaker 13 (49:40):
Yeah, that one of the right one.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Scots like, yeah, he's nine for nine records getting better
and we're.

Speaker 8 (49:46):
Going they love this.

Speaker 11 (49:48):
There's a lot of pressure here.

Speaker 12 (49:50):
Now, let's do ray give me take my name. I
remember playing this song for some radio people. We were
down in Florida and they listened to the song, and
I loved the song. I thought that they should be
way more excited about this song than they were. And
I was watching everybody listen to it, and I was like,
is there's something wrong with this song? Something's wrong with it?

(50:10):
And I was like, it's too long. It's too long.
So I immediately went in the hotel room, started chopping
up the song, editing the song, got it down to
like two minutes and forty seconds or whatever, and then boom,
it was.

Speaker 13 (50:22):
A answer your question. This was the one.

Speaker 9 (50:25):
Yeah, this is the one.

Speaker 15 (50:26):
I think we all kind of slept on and didn't
realize how massive, and it ended up being the biggest one.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
We felt like that was thirteen minutes long. You fell asleep.

Speaker 11 (50:33):
None of us knew how big this song was gonna be.

Speaker 13 (50:35):
I don't think anybody in the whole I.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
Can't remit is there a moment? And it could be
any of the songs, And I'm gonna save this. Is
there a moment question? But let's do a Girl in
Mind play this ray.

Speaker 16 (50:45):
My favorite thing about this song is the day we
shot the video for it. We shot it on the
roof of a high rise building right here in downtown Nashville,
and little known fact, Matt is terrified. He's scared of heights,
and they put him on top of this building, right
on the edge, with drones flying around and getting all
this footage, and I felt scared for you. I wasn't

(51:05):
enough as high as you. But that's my memory of
Girl in Mine.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
When is that threshold moment when you go okay, we
feel pretty good about it too? Oh yeah, this is
doing it? Like what does that feel like? Because it
doesn't have to just be a number on a chart,
because I'm sure sometimes it can hit a number and
it doesn't feel that way, or the opposite, Like, when
when can you feel that it's really going to do
something major?

Speaker 9 (51:27):
I think it's the live show.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
It is.

Speaker 8 (51:28):
I think it's all people showing up at the shows.

Speaker 13 (51:30):
Yeah, people singing showing.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
What do they sing the loudest back more than Carolina?

Speaker 9 (51:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (51:39):
Yeah, sometimes I just scream Carolina in my backyard by myself.

Speaker 7 (51:43):
My favorite is it?

Speaker 11 (51:45):
We used to end to say it always with Carolina,
and you probably would think we did end with Carolina,
we end would take my name now just when we
when that changed, we were like.

Speaker 16 (51:53):
And you would be amazed at the amount of proposals
that are happening. It shows we just had one a
couple of nights ago.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
I do a face going, I'd be like, proposed, never
worry that might have him. Yeah, you ever do you
ever I've done I've messed up before doing a gender reveal.
Do you ever do gender revels on stage?

Speaker 13 (52:10):
No, we've not done one of those.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Are we Okay? Well, I'd like to give you a
word of a little tipton if you don't mind, because
I've screwed this up very badly, because it's gonna happen.
You guys are successful stars and people are gonna want
to be like, will you reveal my baby? And so
I made the mistake once and I was doing a
stand up show and they were like, we wanted to
do great, let's do it. So in the envelope They're like,
you're gonna reveal it to us. I made the mistake
of going, Okay, what do you want now? They answered that,

(52:35):
and I believe they wanted a boy. I asked him
he wanted a boy. The problem is if I pull out,
it's not a boy in the picture. He's now never
ask what they want. Okay, okay, yeah, but you're taking yeah,
because all you can do is like be even Oh
you got what you wanted, and if you don't ask,
you just pull out. Everybody's gonna be excited. But it
was so awkward because what do you want a boy?

Speaker 9 (52:54):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (52:54):
It's a girl. Like I can't teach you much because
you guys just start. But that's the one thing I'd
like to leave.

Speaker 8 (53:01):
From this meeting here.

Speaker 13 (53:03):
Yes, there we go on the Bobby Bone Show.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
Now I got on social media and Matt, I'll talk
to you about this specifically. I I kind of get
annoyed for you guys. Sometimes it's not really at you, guys.
I like you. I get annoyed for you because you
do have massive songs. You might to have a fifth
number one, And I just said, I was like, you know,
it doesn't really get the credit, and you weren't asking
for the credit. You didn't even tell me to do it.
I was like, parmally kind of gets robbed from whenever

(53:28):
people talk about how successful accolades that bands getting deserve.
And I felt like when you were laying on the
couch of all your medals on you, I felt like
you felt that too. Dude.

Speaker 13 (53:41):
When I saw that post, I was like, I gotta
hit Bobby back. Thank you for doing that. You know,
it meant a lot feel good.

Speaker 15 (53:48):
I said, we gotta just yeah, we got we gotta
do the duet thing, man, because yeah, I mean, yeah,
what's up with that? You know, it's like, this is
almost if this song goes up, that'll be five.

Speaker 9 (54:00):
In a row.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Crazy, crazy at a time when there aren't a lot
of bands, because there just aren't a lot of bands,
never has been, especially a lot of bands having success
much less just bands that exist. You know, what's what's
what's the are you what's probably too good looking? What's
the guys? I mean, what's are you intimidated? Like?

Speaker 9 (54:14):
I don't know, man, I think that's.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
What it is.

Speaker 9 (54:16):
Yeah, me too, Like what do we think.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Fundamentally? Why do we think this happens?

Speaker 11 (54:23):
I don't know, Well, a lot of one likes a
lot's happened for us in the past three years.

Speaker 15 (54:28):
Yeah, I mean it's really I felt like we did,
you know, come out of which is part of the accolade,
you know, digging your way out and proving yourself and
coming out with some performing at award shows.

Speaker 7 (54:39):
Yeah, we do too, But how many years have y'
all been together.

Speaker 9 (54:42):
Longer than we have? A five years?

Speaker 2 (54:45):
No, really twenty five years, That's what I'm saying, Like
I want to say five years. It's not even like
I'm meeting. It's a great wish of like I'm really
rooting for you got like you deserve to play at
these network award shows. And I think that's where I
get frustrated, is it doesn't have to be you guys.
It could be anybody that is reaching the data point
of what the expected data point is. It's almost like, oh,

(55:08):
you've done this, so now you deserve to do this.
You're not asking for charity. I'm not. You're not asking
me for anything. I'm just saying I feel like life's
not fair. But I feel like it's a bit unfair
that you guys are not playing these main spots on
these massive award shows. I mean, what have we gotta do? Yeah,
tell us you got to do exactly only fans partly fantastic.

Speaker 9 (55:30):
We're calling it only bands hard.

Speaker 13 (55:32):
Has looked out for us. They nominated us for awards
several They've been great to us.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Yeah, I'm part of that.

Speaker 8 (55:39):
By the way, you love this shirt.

Speaker 13 (55:41):
Rest of the crowd, I.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
Don't know snub exactly exactly. So how are the live
shows going?

Speaker 3 (55:49):
Like?

Speaker 13 (55:49):
Amazing, amazing?

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Don't you wish you could get people out there to
see because again, I'd be very selfish. When I was
touring doing theaters and theaters are all full, I was like,
I wish I could be from home to see like
the people to think I'm funny. Like it was a
very selfish like thought. I was like, man, if think
of watching me do a show, they'd be like, oh,
that Gues's funny. And so don't you wish like you
have people out in like Des Moines, watch you fill
up thousands of seats and just crush it?

Speaker 9 (56:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (56:11):
Yeah, yeah, I mean what are you gonna do? I mean,
yess why you can post.

Speaker 9 (56:15):
Your stories and we're still trying to do it every night.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
I know, then I edit out the empty seat, do
you ey ever do that? I'd like crop out the
little corner of empty seat. I'd be like, I'm not
putting that out there. This song, and we've talked about
it on the show and so, and I don't think
I would even brought it up except for when I
was actually reading about the song I'm Gonna Love You,
based a bit on the shooting situation. Yeah, can you

(56:41):
for our audience? I feel like we're interesting everybody all
the time, all over again, even ourselves. Can you give
me an abbreviated version of that story?

Speaker 9 (56:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (56:49):
So this was back in twenty ten, before we had
a record deal. We were playing the club on a
Monday night and I think we had like twenty people there.
But anyway, short story, me and Scott were out in
the RV packing up after the show, getting knock on
the door. I'm thinking it's burying Josh, but it's two
guys and bandanas with guns at my head again at

(57:09):
my head. Pushed me up an RV, give me you
f and cash, and then fired the gun right by
my head.

Speaker 13 (57:15):
And I knew Scott was.

Speaker 9 (57:16):
In the back.

Speaker 13 (57:16):
It's just me and him up there, and I knew
he had his fire arm with him.

Speaker 15 (57:19):
He was considered concealed carrier. And I said Scott, I
need some help, and he didn't hesitate. He came walked
up that little hallway and engaged both the guys, shot
both of them. One of them is not here, the
other ones in prison. But in the gunfire he got
shot three times, one of them for more artery, and
he was fell out on the couch and was bleeding
out right front. When these guys finally made their way

(57:39):
to the RV to see what was going on, and
thank god, there was a cop right at the McDonald's
next door, and the first responders got there quick and
they airlifted him.

Speaker 13 (57:49):
But I think he bled out like twice on the
way to Charlotte got in. There was so terrible.

Speaker 15 (57:55):
Ten days in the coma, forty in the hospital, three
life saving surgeries.

Speaker 12 (58:00):
But when he when he came out of his calla,
the first thing he said was we ain't playing no
more than clubs.

Speaker 11 (58:07):
Yeah, first words out of his Yeah, they knew I
was gonna.

Speaker 9 (58:10):
Be all right.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
He's like, I think this song will be a number one. Yeah.

Speaker 15 (58:17):
I mean it was terrible, you know, but we got
through it, and we had a lot of help from
family and friends, and at that time we were just
about to come out of Nashville to get a record deal.

Speaker 13 (58:25):
We have worked on that we had already.

Speaker 15 (58:26):
Recorded Carolina and must had a good time and we'd
had those in the bucket, and this is the biggest
thing we've ever had in our career. Happened up to
this point as far as like being on the cusp
of getting finally getting a record deal and then boom,
this happens and everything just shut down, and.

Speaker 13 (58:40):
But everybody was supportive.

Speaker 15 (58:42):
They raised money, local bands, that shows people in Nashville,
that auctions, uh, you know, family and friends, everybody pray
and everything just came together, you know.

Speaker 11 (58:50):
Came back, got the record deal, and then we met
Bobby Bones and the rest. That's when you came to town.

Speaker 6 (58:59):
That is.

Speaker 2 (59:02):
So how does that story? How uh Int're gonna love you? Like?
What is the relationship there?

Speaker 15 (59:08):
It's just the song that we needed to tell the story.
And we had a lot of people ask us about,
you know, man, you should you have should do a
documentary or you should do a movie, and we wanted
to tell the story. And we just had the song
now and we hadn't had it before and I was like, Okay,
this is this is coming down.

Speaker 12 (59:22):
This is what all this is for and about unconditional
love too.

Speaker 15 (59:27):
Yeah, you know, having people's back. And you know there's
people that no matter when you call, they're going to
pick up and and so.

Speaker 12 (59:35):
We have that in ourselves.

Speaker 13 (59:37):
You know, answer my phone when I called last night,
you didn't answer.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Exactly change his number.

Speaker 13 (59:45):
I didn't see you call me back.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Question about the family dynamic here you got two brothers
and a cousin and a friend, but Josh not being related.
Do you ever not get invite to the family reunions
and you're like, what's up? Guys?

Speaker 9 (59:57):
Well, thankfully, no, he wouldn't go anyway.

Speaker 16 (01:00:01):
I wouldn't go anywhere. But I'm an only child. I
don't have any siblings, and being in this band, these
guys are my brothers.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
It's to day and by you the family reunion if
they have one, they don't exactly, it's not coming anyway.
That's funny.

Speaker 9 (01:00:18):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
By the way, you like, I don't know, you look
like extra trendy, Like look at you guys, like those
checksmen coming in.

Speaker 10 (01:00:25):
