Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fucking out number two crazy times, Clay and Buck. We
appreciate all of you hanging out with us. Couple of
breaking new stories that are out there. Michigan Governor Gretchen
Whitmer says she will not accept the VP nod from
Kamala Harris.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Now that could be a and by the way, if you.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Were just not paying attention over the weekend and you
just got in your car, that sentence to start off
the day would just kind of give you an indication
of how crazy the world in which we are living is.
Kamala Harris is in She's got to make a VP
selection at some point in the near future. The gambling
odds right now, I think this is going to be
(00:42):
your pick. I think she's going to pick Josh Shapiro,
Pennsylvania's Democrat governor Roy Cooper, Democrat governor term limited out
in North Carolina. Second most likely Andy Goober Basher. I
can't believe you idiot Kentucky and voted for him. I'm saying,
anyone who in Kentucky voted for Andy Basheer, Yes, you
(01:04):
are an idiot, because this guy was one of the
worst COVID governors in the country. You're in a red state.
He locked you down, he didn't let you go to church,
and you guys rewarded him by re electing him.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
He is third most likely. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
I hope she picks Andy Basheer because the idea of
a Kentuckian. Did you see this Buck? He went on
MSNBC and ripped JD. Vance and said he's not a
real Kentuckian. Andy Basheer was born with a silver spoon
in his mouth. His daddy was governor. That's why he
got elected. He's a spoiled, little pampered brat, and so
(01:43):
the idea that he would be trying to attack JD. Vans,
who was raised in one of the toughest environments you
could possibly imagine, is frankly, I think it would be
an insult to Kentuckians. Now, my grandfather, all the Travis
family from Kentucky coal miners, legitimately, who came down to
(02:05):
work in the factory at DuPont, which is how I
ended up living in Nashville, So I know a little
bit about that. Historically, Mark Kelly is in fourth place.
The guy I wish she would really pick Buck. I
wish she would pick Pete bootage edge. If she Kamala Harris,
the ticket should That's what it should be. It should
(02:26):
be ka Ei. It should be the most DEEI ticket imaginable.
The gay mayor of of what's the town again, south
in Mayanna, South Bend. Sorry, apology Notre Dame people, the
gay mayor of South Bend, Indiana who had never done
anything in his life that somehow runs for president and
ends up transportation secretary. And oh, by the way, a
(02:50):
lot of you, I bet are listening to us stranded
all over the country. We didn't even mention this on Friday,
but they still have not recovered from this crowd strike.
Update Delta. Evidently, if you are flying Delta Airlines, it's
almost impossible to get anywhere in the country. For what
is it a fourth straight day. There are people just lost.
(03:12):
There are people driving all over the country. Some of
you are listening to us. We hope you are safe.
But we didn't even know the name of the Transportation secretary.
Mayor Pete gets in there, takes off. You know what
it was like two months for paternity leave during the
transportation issues when the supply chain crisis was in order.
So we can chess feed I mean, the whole thing
(03:33):
is just ridiculous. I'd like her to pick as VP
mayor Pete. But the latest is Gretchen Witmer, governor of Michigan,
says she would not accept the VP nod off air Buck.
You said, and I'm kind of just sitting around thinking
about it. A part of me feels like they're not
(03:54):
gonna let Kamala be the nominee because I think over
the next couple of weeks just follow me here. Over
the next couple of weeks, the polls are going to
come out, and I think they're going to reflect what
you and I said, which is now that Kamala is
actually in theory the next man up, next woman up
in this case, and people are actually like, wait a minute,
(04:16):
Kamala Harris against Trump. When they start getting called for
those polls, I think the numbers are going to be
way worse than Democrats think, even with their making big
stories about how much money they're raising. And I feel
like they may try to pull the ripcord on Kamala
before she even becomes a nominee, just putting it out
there so that would be total Like I've and now
(04:39):
this is going into her ongoing because you know, we've
been talking about this for a long time. That would
be a total mind blowing situation for me. And this
would bring us back to you saying two years ago
that Michelle Obama would be the eventual Democrat nominee.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I still think that's madness. But at this point I can't.
I can't rule anything out. One of the reasons why
I thought that even with Biden, of course I thought
I thought Biden. I went on the record, Clay, before
you and I were even teamed up. I thought Biden
was to frail in twenty twenty, to be the romanee,
he was to be fair, and he was.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, of course the Democrats were out of their minds.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I mean, he just sort of, you know, did the
did just enough for them to pretend anyway, So so
then they got all they got all the way to
this point, Kamala Harris has not been subjected to really
any serious oppo.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
The ads that.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
They're going to run against Kama, the little the little
surge in support that she had in Democrat voters based
on some of the polls that they used to help
ouse Biden out.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I also want to say this, I.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Am absolutely convinced that we only know a tiny fraction
of how the coup really happened. And just to be clear,
Trump and Jade Vance are calling it a coup as well.
So that Biden did not decide to do this for
the good of the country. They strong armed him out
of office. And the only miscalculation really that I made it.
I knew Biden wasn't going to give it up. I
(05:58):
knew Biden wasn't going to stop by thought he.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Was the guy. Somehow they were able to get him.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Now that people are talking about health that we don't
really know about, like a health issue that hasn't been
people are there's a lot of theories floating around. I
don't want to get too deep into the theories because
they're just that, but I do know Clay it is.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
However, before you even have to go it is even
without getting into theories, the fact that we have not
seen him is Bonker's Banana Land insanity. That he would
just post a letter, you know, LBJ addressed the nation
in sixty eight. I think that opens up the idea
of conspiracy theories. When the president of the United States
(06:36):
can't even be bothered to post a video explaining his rationale.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Yes, of course.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
And also this happens a week after his opponent took
a bullet in the ear. I mean, I understand that
people are just gonna tell us that's that's all a coincidence.
But I also can understand how some people have a
hard time with that that, you know, maybe there was
a sense if we wait this out, something will happen
to Trump.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
All I do know is that this wasn't the plan. Okay,
this wasn't the plan that the Democrats were hoping to unfold.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
This is a disaster, This is a cluster.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
This is absolutely frenzied, last minute running out of a
burning house. Okay, that's what's going on here. We don't
know the full story with Biden. And that then brings
me to why I've thought that Kamala is gonna have
a really hard time finding anyone else.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
For the ticket.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Let's say Trump wins, if you are Gretchen Whitmer, Jos Shapiro,
any of these individuals, in two years, Clay, you get
to set up your campaign in style, open field, get
to you know, raise the money you want, set the
narrative you want, and you're going for the big job,
right you get to go for the presidency, not the
(07:51):
vice presidency. If you attach yourself to a Kamala ticket,
now that gets that gets blown out of the water. Okay,
like Buck Island, very sad, blown out of the water,
very sad for Buck Island, very sad. Clay you go
into you go into twenty twenty five a loser, and
no one's going to think of it as helpful experience.
(08:13):
They're going to say, you were part of that disaster
of the Kamala ticket. So I think she may have
a really joshapierro I think Joshapier likes being a governor Pennsylvania,
sees himself as a bright fut, as a bright future.
He is not a household name. He does not have
name id. People, do you know what he looks like
in your head?
Speaker 2 (08:31):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
I mean, I'm do I could only in the wake
of the shooting that happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, I saw
him do video. I was gonna say, you know, they're politicians,
how you know when you see them, but you don't
have a visual of them in your head. I think
for a lot of people. First of all, a lot
of people couldn't pick him out of a lineup, and
I think even for people follow politics, you haven't seen
him enough that you have. Those things matter a national election,
(08:53):
right in.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
An election where maybe one hundred thousand votes across five
states could determine the future. Although I'm just gonna say
this right now, man, I probablyould probably should be a
little sheepish, little shy about bets. If Kamala Harris is
the eventual Democrat nominee against Donald Trump, he is going
he is going to win every every one of the
swing states. And I'm not gonna say he's gonna go
(09:15):
beyond that, but I think he takes all of them.
I think all the swing states go for Trump.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
I don't think that there's any way Kamala Harris can
beat this guy.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
And I know who they can cheat.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I know that the elections a weighs off, but honestly,
the Republican Party should just stop trying if they can't
beat Kamala Harris with three months to campaign. Three months, Clay,
this is the people who actually know Democrat politics and
party machinery think this is lunatic stuff.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
What they have done lunatic stuff.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
It's not even just three months. Buck, A lot of
you are going to be able to vote in six weeks.
I mean, for everybody out there who is listening to
us right now, many of you, and we encourage you
to get your votes in as early as possible. Many
of you are going to be able to vote by
mid September. So I mean we're gonna be in mid September.
(10:09):
You're gonna turn around and it's gonna be mid September.
So there's some of you out there in six weeks
you're gonna be able to go fill your ballots out.
I just I can't get over I know the Big
ten pretty well. My wife is from Michigan. All of
her family is from Michigan. I've spent a lot of
time in the state of Michigan in the last twenty years,
(10:31):
twenty plus years since we started dating. I have been
around covering college football. Before I did this, I've been everywhere.
We just spent a week in Wisconsin. I can't think
of a single person out there that was not gonna
vote for Biden, because there are a lot of people
(10:51):
who just vote for the party. I was talking about
this with my nine year old this morning in the
car driving him to a friend's house. He was really
kind of fascinated by the idea that there are a
lot of people who doesn't matter who the nominee is,
They're just going to show up and vote for the
party because they are party line voters. And you know,
if you're a young kid, that's kind of fascinating. I
was like, well, sort of like if you're a fan
(11:12):
of a football team and the coach gets fired, you
don't stop typically rooting for that team, right you're a fan.
There's a lot of fan based voting that goes on.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
But I'm talking about people who were unsure or who
were wavering.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Is there anyone in America who woke up today and
they were like, man, I really didn't know whether I
was voting against Trump. But then Kamala Harris became the
Democrat nominee, and I knew I had to make the choice.
I'm talking about in the big ten states, I'm not
sure there's a single person hardly.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
I'm sorry, I'm not somebody who tends to view these
through the rosiest possible scenarios. I just don't see how
Kamala Harris is able to turn around the poll numbers
that Trump currently because Remember, it's not just Biden weakness
that she's trying to make up for. Even want to
disagree with Trump, his Trump has the most united Republican
(12:03):
Party and the most fired up Republican base I have
ever seen in my life. Right now, you're going up
against that. I mean, you want to talk about a
sense of mission. I mean Trump almost after taking a
bullet through the ear, he's like a messianic figure to
a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Now he's a.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Delivered the country from the grip of the communists and
into a beautiful future of prosperity and freedom. I mean,
this is a real moment for the GOP. That a
good moment. I mean, I know that obviously the assassination
attempt was terrifying, but we've come through this, I think
incredibly well. And the Democrats are in just this absolute
(12:44):
state of disarray, and you have to wonder well they
think commal Clay Every Commalist speech, every Commalist speech turns
into a laugh line because she says, you know, unburdened
by what has been or something, and everyone goes, what
was that? And you know, the Kambala word solid and everything,
and she can't at least rely on being a cuddly
(13:04):
old grandpa with dementia.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
That's just how she talks.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
I mean, she speaks like a Dei seminar brought to life.
She is, wherever you work, the person who got promoted
entirely because of their race Engender. Yes, that person that
you probably don't respect very much inside of your office.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
That's Kamala Harris for the country. And I can't imagine.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
To your point, Buck, I just whatever you think there
are democrats they're going to show up and vote for.
I cannot imagine that in swing states that old white
voters are going to be like, you know, who's the
savior of the country now, Kamala Harris. They may not
like Donald Trump, they may think he's mean. Sometimes, they
may think he's brash and too outspoken, all those things,
(13:50):
But do they want Queen Cackles in charge of the country.
I mean, honestly, if the phone rang and China invaded,
do you what Kamala Harris making any of those decisions.
I can't believe this is real, that she is the
person and they're raising all this money for. I know
there's this possibility. You raise this possibility, Clay of Well,
(14:11):
maybe it won't be hurt. It'll be someone else. Well,
at that point, you're now creating in it. First of all,
the timeline matters, the timing matters, the fundraising matters. Now
you can't actually just they'll be legal challenges and who
knows how they end up going. You can't raise money
for one candidate, okay, and then just be like.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
You know what, we don't like this candidate anymore. So
the party is just taking all that money and handing
it to some other person. There'll be legal challenges all
over the place over that. If it's anyone other than
Kamala Harris.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
I just think there'll be billionaires who write billion dollar checks, right,
I mean if they had the right guy or the
right gal.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
But I just they're going to write those checks for
a Harris.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
I mean for a Withell Obama, like if there's a
savior candidate out there that they turn to. When like
these numbers, we got some poll numbers. All right, mister
fancy man, with your with your with your long term predictions.
Is it gonna be Michelle Obamber, Is it gonna be
Kamala Harris. I think it's gonna be Kamla I think
you'd have to put your money on her. But I
think that they're gonna look around and recognize that she's
(15:14):
getting her ass kicked so severely in the next ten days,
there's gonna be a panic.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
This is close.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
This is not a panic yet. What I'm noting you
just I'm gonna mark this down. The Democrats will rue
this day.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
What they have done is moronic. I'm telling you it's
and it's to our benefit. But I well, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
There's just all of a sudden, she's gonna have some
surge and like polling in Michigan or Pennsylvania, give me
a break, all right, we'll get back to this. Obviously
a lot going on here. We haven't eve talked about
the Secret Service director who's basically has no answers for anything.
You know, it's hard to imagine how the week could
be more eventful than it was last week, But who knows.
This week has already got a lot of stuff going on.
(15:57):
Load me up on Chad Moo and my friend That's

Speaker 3 (17:21):
All right, team, we've got a super fast turn here,
but we're gonna dive deep into all of the latest
in a moment. Nancy Pelosi just endorsed officially Kamala Harris.
They are all lining off around Harris. I don't think
they're going to be able to pull the plug on
this one, Clay, I think I think they've pulled all
the plugs they can up to this point, so we
(17:43):
shall see it.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
But you've got some polling numbers not looking great for
a Kamal against Trump. What a shock? Yeah, no kidding.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I'll hit you with those from a Democrat polling company
when we come back. In the meantime, cell phone service
with Pure Talk half the cost of Verizon AT and
T or T Mobile just twenty bucks a month, dumbled
Talk text, plenty of data. If you're thinking what's the catch,
No way Puretalk can offer cell phone service that cheap.

You're not alone.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
You can ask any of the tens of thousands of
fellow listeners who've already switched. I have already texted this

first month. Welcome back in Clay, Travis, Buck Sexton show. Okay,
let me hit you with a couple of polling datas.
Detroit Free Press on so morning before Biden dropped out
had Trump up seven points. They've been pulling the Detroit
Free Press has Michigan for a very long time. They said,
(19:12):
that's the biggest lead in their poll that a Republican
has had in the state of Michigan since.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Nineteen eighty eight.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Biden drops out, Oh, Kamala Harris raised so much money.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Oh she's going to be amazing.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
A group called Quadruple Polls Progress Action Fund, a Democrat,
left wing polling group, just released their Donald Trump against
Kamala Harris polls in Pennsylvania Trump buck fifty one to
forty five, six point lead for Trump. According to a
(19:51):
Democrat polling group in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Trump up fifty two
to forty four, an eight point lead. Again, this is
a Democrat polling group Michigan. They have Trump up two
over Kamala Harris. Wisconsin, they have Trump up one. Those
are the four that they just released. Again, this is
(20:15):
such a left wing group.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Buck.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
I tried to click on the Pole group and they
have me blocked on Twitter.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
I don't ever remember interacting. You can't.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
I can't imagine that I got into an argument with
a polling group. They have me blocked on Twitter. I
can't even see their info. Apparently they don't like the
First Amendment and boobs play. So you know, well, that
would square with a left wing polling group. So that
is out there and squares with what you and I
were saying, which is, I don't think these numbers.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Are going to be very good from Kamala.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Why would they get better for Kamala Harris. That's that's
really the question you have to ask, what is it
about Kamala Harris. I understand that the media is just
so ruthless and dishonest, and they are still powerful, unfortunate,
and they're all going to go to the mat on Kamala.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Is the greatest.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
She actually ran a great campaign in twenty twenty. It
was out of her hands that she got two percent
of the vote. I mean, they'll say absolutely anything. Fine,
But I think that the media is in a tough
spot right now themselves because they went along with the
Joe Biden is fine thing until the debate. Yes, they
were all in on it. They were look at morning Joe,
(21:26):
the best Joe Budden I've ever seen, right, Like, you
know too much.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
That's pretty good. That's a pretty good Scarborough. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
I can I can go. I can go full douche
what I have to full douchebag. You know, he's a
bad guy. So yeah, I have to say, you know,
here we are, and I find myself just wondering how
they think any of this is going to be better?
Speaker 2 (21:51):
You know, how is any of this going on with you?
Speaker 1 (21:55):
I'm with you which is why, in the back of
my mind, I still feel like they're maybe a rip
chord moment for Kamala Harris too.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
But let's let's talk about that in a second. But
let's play.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
I want to give credit to Greg on our team
who went back to try to figure out when did
we first start talking about the steak bet between Biden
and UH and whether he would be in the race
or not. Credit to your wife Carrie, who just ducked
in and said, I have to say when when Biden
dropped out? She said, your first reaction was, well, that's okay,
(22:29):
Clay needed a win.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
The being super generous even as Buck Island was overrun.
It's a little bit like the Uh, a little bit
like the guys who put on their tuxedos to play
to play.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Off the Titanic, for sure.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, as it went into the water, you're trying to
go out as beautifully as you can. But which can
we just mention what a badass thing that is to do.
Can you imagine anyone in today's era knowing that the
ship was going down and saying, let's just go play
music where men we're gonna put on tuxedos and own
(23:08):
our fate.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Maybe I'm wrong, I think that men would be throwing
women in the water. I think they would be commandeering
the last lifeboats.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Are you with me?
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Like the idea that men would just say in this
day and age, you know what, women and children get
them on the lifeboats. I'm gonna smoke a cigar and
stand here in my jacket and take my fate like
a man. I hate to say this as a man.
Do you feel like men would be gallant in that
same way.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
On a high I think a lot of Democrats would
start identifying as women as the ship was going down.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
So there's that great meme where the bad guy in
the Titanic is this is like the lifeboat guy says, sorry, sir,
women and children only, and he says, but I'm trans
which is a which is a very funny meme. But
let's play. This is Gregg's research. Some of you out
there may be able to find because there's transcripts of
all the shows that we do. Maybe it occurred earlier
(24:05):
than this. This is the first we can find. This
is July twelfth, twenty twenty two, over two years ago,
and September twenty ninth, twenty twenty two. Discussion about whether
Biden would be the nominee.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Listen July twelfth, twenty twenty two.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
I just don't see any way that Democrats I've been
referring to it as the weekend at Bernie's Part two.
I don't see any way they can drag him across
the finished line again. I think that that is going
to be a failure. I think it is inconceivable that
he could be the nominee and slowly, all of.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
A sudden, we're gonna have to throw some misteak dinner
bets out there. Clay, do you think he's going to
be the nominee?
Speaker 3 (24:46):
I'm not as I think if Trump announces, I think
Biden thinks he can do it.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
I will put a steak dinner on the fact that
Biden will not be the nominee.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Let me think about my bet. Yeah, think you want
to put it on the line. September twenty ninth, twenty
twenty two.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Buck Sexton, We have a stake bet, We have many stakes.
But I do not believe that Joe Biden is going
to run for reelection in twenty twenty four, because I
think even Democrats are going to have to acknowledge that
his mental state is so deteriorated that he doesn't have
the capacity to do it. In the wake of this
viral incident yesterday, are you sticking to your guns that
(25:25):
Biden is going to run?
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Oh? Absolutely, you're sticking to the guns. I'm sticking with it.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
I think that they they almost take I think there
are a lot of Democrats who privately take.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Some glee in ce we can even make this guy president.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
I'm just gonna tell you, man, you you recovered the
football on your own five yard line and ran it
downfield with like zero time on the clock because you
said that they were gonna pull like Biden wasn't gonna run,
and there was a play. We're three weeks for the
convention and he was the so they absolutely tried to
(26:02):
run him.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
They absolutely tried to do weekend at Bernie's two.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
And it's kind of like the end of Scooby Doo,
where they would have gotten away with it if it
wasn't for you dog gone kids. In this case, the
kids are the debate, which I think destroyed him and
made it much much harder for him to go forward.
But to be clear, everybody two years ago. I was like,
oh no, they're planning to run him. They one hundred
percent were planning to run him. The entirety of the
media went along with this. It just got so bad
(26:29):
that the very last minute they decided to replace him
with Kamala, which.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Is insane, insane, They're going to regret it. I agree there.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
I also think this is why I hope we get
an honest telling for the historical record. The decision to
have a debate on June twenty seventh. May we know
lawfair has blown up in their face, but that was
a little bit more unclear how it might play out.
You and I thought that it would help, but it
(26:58):
clearly is one up in their face. There's never been
a debate on June twenty seventh, There's never been a
debate before September.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
If they had just waited.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Until September or October, and so how did that come about?
Did somebody set him up? Who made that decision? Is
how much of a debate was there?
Speaker 3 (27:22):
That's I think I think that they really believe that
he could just pull it off for the night, because
I've seen him even in the last six months. Be
that that the problem that they ran into was it
was it and this is all real stuff. It was
late in the day. We know it's what is its
sundowning is when you have you know, senior stanility, dimension,
(27:45):
et cetera, and you're that old. It was it was
a late debate, and uh, he gave us the Biden.
The Biden that they hide and stage manage out of
public view showed up on that debate stage. And I
think they thought they could count on the Biden that
they present, you know, foggy, befuddled or whatever. Because Clay
(28:07):
here's the other part of it. They they put him.
If it was all a setup to get him to
drop out, why would Biden's own team, who clearly want
him to stay in because they've been saying he's staying
in until they look like idiots now and they're not
gonna have jobs in a few months, so why would
they agree to it. I think that that surmises or
(28:28):
that that assumes way too much for knowledge of how
the debate, because Biden could have there is a better
version of Biden than what you saw on that debate stage.
The problem is, yeah, he did have a bad day.
He had a day where he saw what he's really
like most.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Of the day.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
I don't understand why. And this is first guessing. This
isn't second guessing. You can go back. When this happened,
I said, it was like a pass fail for Biden.
It didn't make sense to me that if they were
trying to drag him across the finish line, they should
have followed the Fetterman move don't debate until super late
when tons of people have already voted, right. I mean,
(29:04):
they could have done their get out the vote campaign
all of September, most of October, and then on October
twentieth they trot out Biden for one debate and then
they just have two weeks to recover from it. Maybe
they were concerned that it would it feels to me, yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
You think it.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
You really believed that it was a setup, though, But
how how do you get that past Biden's own people
who they didn't want him to look like. I'm not
sure sure Joe Scarborough and company didn't want Biden to
look like an idiot on that debate stage because they
were saying he was great, you know what I mean,
there's a lot of people I.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Want to know the full story. I think you're right
that they thought. But the fact that they thought they
needed to debate in June is an incredible weakness of
the Biden candidacy.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
They needed to do.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
It if it's it's like they were in a cult,
and the cult truth to that, the cult leader was,
you know, with all the cult followers, wives and spending
all the money on rolls, royces and doing all these things.
And they were all they knew you cannot question anything,
You cannot question anything, or you were outside the cult.
And then I think it just completely blew up in
(30:14):
their faces because when it got outside of that cult
realm on TV for everyone to see, and there was
no spinning it. It was it was far too late.
But look, I said, and this is a prediction that
I got wrong, which I shouldn't be admitting this stuff now.
I thought Biden wouldn't debate him, by the way.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
That would have been so much, so much.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yes, just say he's a threat to democracy, you know,
blah blah whatever. But Clay, I really just think, you know,
I've talked about airline disasters and other things too, but
airline disasters cascating decision making or cascating problems right where
you do a little you know, I didn't press the
right button, and then I got up from the cockpit,
(30:53):
and then there was you know, smoke in the something
or other and I pressed the wrong thing and it
just keeps going. All of a sudden, you know, two
hundred people in the side of mountain, right, That's how
these things go. I think the Lawfare failed. The law
Fair then they got desperate because the polls started to
turn against them, and they felt like they had to
turn the polls back at least trending in their favor
(31:14):
going into summer to run the usual playbook. And so
in a sense, I think the Lawfair not only maybe
will catapult Donald Trump, has catapulted him ahead of the polls.
I think it may have ended up destroying Joe Biden's
chances at running. You see what I'm saying. Yeah, because
the prosecutions blew up in their faces. The numbers for
(31:36):
Trump were too good to be true. They had to
turn it around. They got desperate, and their desperate move
was having an early debate and that completely backfired as well.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
And Kamala is going to backfire too. I mean, I
feel so confident more. And this is why I'm sitting here.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
I'm like, that's why it's going to cost me a stake,
And how could they be so dumb?
Speaker 2 (31:57):
There's no way.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
I mean, I know people say, oh, look, we could
lose the House, we could lose the Senate. I take
nothing for granted. I'm sorry. If Kamala Harris beats Donald
Trump in an election and we can't find the fraud,
I don't want to hear about all whatever. We don't,
we don't catch it red handed Republican Party, like, well,
what are we even doing here, folks? What do we
even how do we even justify the existence of the GOP.
(32:19):
If Donald Trump, after taking a bullet in the ear
and raising his fist and saying fight and beating everybody
who has challenged him in all these prim Kamala Harris
wins it, at that point, we just, you know, you
really do have to ask the question, Democrats can't ever
win an election. If Democrats can't I mean sorry, if
(32:40):
Republicans can't beat Kamala Harris, then the party is worthless.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
I'm just being honest. I mean, that's the truth. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
So that's how I've and I see nothing to change
that analysis.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Kamala Harris is a super look, we see reality. We
knew all along, as you did too, that Joe Biden
had dementia and that this was absurd, but Democrats kept
pushing the absurdity. They are pushing absurdity again. The absurdity
is that Kamala Harris is a strong politician who's going
to be able to get swing state voters. I mean,
(33:14):
I think they're out of their minds. Let's talk about it.
We'll take some of your calls too. By the way,
I know a lot of you been calling in with
a lot of opinions on this big day here. You know,
a million dollars in the bank fifteen years ago, back
in two thousand and nine, that's now worth about seven
hundred thousand dollars in buying power. That's what inflation and
out of control federal government spending has done to our dollar. Now,
just for contrast, if that same amount of million dollars
(33:36):
have been invested in gold, it'll be worth twice that
at the end. Some how you protect the value of
your dollars and your savings account from inflation. That's a
decision you have to make. But let me tell you,
investing some portion of your savings in gold is a
smart way to protect the value of your savings account.
Gold has become easy to access, easy to own, whether
you want it in your savings account, your I ray

Speaker 2 (34:34):

Speaker 4 (34:37):
The iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Oh, welcome back here to Clay and Buck. Big Hour coming.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
Up more on where the Democrat Party goes from here.
They have basically decided unofficially, but Kamala Harris getting all
the big endorsements. All the big governors talked about as
possible contenders themselves, maybe even running mates for her.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
They've all endorsed her.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
So the Democrats are circling up and making it seem
like it has to be Kamala. So we'll take your
calls on this in a second. Also a very interesting
I was watching Morning Joe this morning and I just
ran up the stairs because I realized that I was
forgot the.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Time for a second. So sorry from breathing heavy.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
I was watching Morning Joe this morning, and Clay, they're
very upset, and they're going to be very upset at you.
I'm just telling you this for how you pronounce her name.
So we're going to get into this. This is now
a new thing, the disrespect shown to Kamala Harris, who herself,
I believe, pronounces her name multiple ways. Let's take Oh boy,
(35:46):
I don't know. It sounds like somebody is Bobby and Florida.
Here we go, Bobby, what have you got for us?
Speaker 5 (35:52):
Fuck? How you doing?
Speaker 2 (35:53):
I'm good man? What's going on?
Speaker 5 (35:56):
This thing? Is the plan for four years with Michelle Obama?
Because this, uh, this Broker convention will be chaos. It
will be and then what will happen is, you know,
it'll be like eighteen seventy six and the Republicans there
if somebody throws the Barfield's name in there, and then eventually,
you know, all of a sudden it's unanimous and she'll
be the.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Real let me start. You buy it, you buy it.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
We'll talk about this at the top of the next hour.
The problem with the Michelle Obama theory is it requires
either her getting in or multiple other people getting in
to contest the convention. Here's what I'll say. So far,
nobody has contested yet. Everybody has been the knee and
coronated Kamala as the unquestioned nominee. It first would require
(36:46):
a challenger. So far we do not have one.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
We'll see
