Speaker 1 (00:00):
Third hour of Clay and Buck kicks off now. And
to put it simply, Trump is not tired of winning.
He's not tired of winning at all. And there's a
lot of wins racking up today. We can rack them
and stack them for you. You have, for example, the
wins handed down by the Supreme Court. In summary, the
(00:22):
court came with a six or three decision saying that
these lower courts can't just stop Trump anytime they feel
like it, essentially limiting the grounds on which they can
going forward try to strangle trump administration policy and in
essence affirming that yes, he is the president. You may
not like it random Obama or Biden appointed federal judge
(00:46):
who is by no means up for the task of
interpreting the law in a fair and impartial manner. You
may not like it, but that is the reality. Trump
is the president and has the powers of the presidents.
They also parents are able to opt out for LGBTQ
books that violate their religious rights of conscience. Another win
(01:07):
on that one. Clay. I'm also I wouldn't say I
think it's likely, but I do think there's a realistic
chance that the Supreme Court will do the right thing
and say that birthrights citizenship going forward is not granted
to people who are subject to another jurisdiction by right
of their actual citizenship, So we won't have this game
(01:28):
of people coming here for birth tourism, or people running
across the border and then having a baby as quickly
as they can while they're waiting for their false asylum claims.
So then they get to stay here because then they
have a child as a US citizen. I'm hoping that
that will be the case. And we also have the
S and P five hundred at an all time high today?
Am I missing? What other wins? Am I missing?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, look, there's another case that's not getting a great
deal of attention. But I do think it's also important
as it goes to parental rights. But states are able
to rest strict people under the age of eighteen from
accessing pornographic material on the Internet, which I think is
something that most parents would say is something that should
(02:11):
be done now. Doesn't mean that your kids might not
be smart enough to get to things on the Internet
that you don't want them to see. Just like back
in the day, kids may have been smart enough to
get onto cable or satellite and be able to see
movies that you didn't want them to see. But it
shouldn't be standard that everyone is just exposed immediately to
(02:33):
pornography in a way that never would have happened pre Internet.
And so I think that's a really smart, rational take,
and I think taken collectively, there are two stories that
I would say come out of this year's term that
are going to matter going forward. One is, the president
(02:54):
has a lot of authority, and that's going to apply
for Republican, Democrat, independent, LIGs, you know, socialist, libertarian, whoever,
whatever political parties are in control going forward. The President's
going to have a lot of authority. Second one is
parents have a lot of authority too, And I think
(03:14):
who has the authority, who is the binder, who is
the decision maker is one of the most important questions
that any court ever has to decide who has sort
of the bucks stopping with them? And I don't think
it's coincidental that when you look at the trans minor
surgery issue, when you look at pornography on the Internet,
(03:35):
when you look at what books kids are exposed to
in classrooms, this court by and large has been very
protective of parental rights, And I will just point this
out because I do think it's important. The two least
protective of parental rights in America judges are two women
(03:55):
who never had kids. Now, again, maybe that is just coincidental,
and Sodo Mayor and Kagan, neither of whomever have had
a child. Maybe they just happened to believe that parents
shouldn't have that much authority over their children's education and health.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I don't think it's coincidental.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
No.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
I think if you raise kids, which is why I
think Katanji Brown Jackson is uniquely alone on an island
here his parents.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
I think.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
You know, after this decision came down, Buck, I said,
one of my kids thought he was a Jedi when
he was a little kid.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
He dressed up like a Jedi.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Would be really cool if he had been a Jedi
had those powers, But we didn't actually think he was
a Jedi.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
We let him dress up because he's a kid.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
And we figured that he was going to grow out
of it, and he wasn't going to always want to
put an Anakin fake scar on his face, and he
wasn't always going to want to have a long Jedi braid.
At some point in time, he was going to grow
out of it. Most kids grow out of the idea
that they're the wrong gender, and I think parents get
that uniquely because you've had kids tell you their dinosaurs
(05:04):
or they have imaginary friends, or they are something that
you know is not true and you have to work
through it with them. And then you have two non
parents that basically think the state should be able to
make the decisions about your kids, or the kids should
have the right to make kid choices. And I think
(05:25):
that a lot of parents are rejecting that idea. So
those are the stories that I think our most significant
here are that really who makes the decision, and the
president and parents have been and have been emboldened and empowered.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
And Trumps certainly feeling his stuff. Also on the aftermath
of the strikes on Iran, they I think have quieted
down some of the efforts to convince the public that
these weren't super successful and very sophisticated strikes. I do
believe that has the gun to you know, be pushed
(06:02):
back on effectively by Pete Heggs at the Secretary of
Defense and others. So when you rack all this up, Clay,
like I was saying, got great Supreme Court decisions coming
down today. Economy is look s and p is at
all time high. Your four to one k's are rocking.
Inflation is tamed. They should lower rates. We'll get to
that in a second. But prices of stuff going down.
(06:24):
Tariff's in effect. Trump's winning these tariff negotiations. Revenue is
coming in. Border. Oh g, how is the border? This
has cut twenty three. Trump talking about the border in
the last twenty four hours, talking about how it was
last month. Play twenty three. We've done so well on
the border.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
You know, last month we had zero people that cross
the border.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Zero.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
So Christy and Tom Homan and some of the people,
what a job you've done. What a But you know,
people forget about that. They don't care. The border has
been fixed. I want to talk about the border two
days ago in a big group, sir. They don't want
to hear about the border. Why it's fixed. You know,
it's a second time it happened. I mean in twenty sixteen,
I won on the border. I fixed it in about
three months. It was beautiful, and they wouldn't let me.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Talk about the border.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Sure, nobody wants to hear about the border. But we're
going to talk about it anyway, right tom um, And
we're talking about it anyway.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
There's one thing, Clay, we talked to the President about.
We were in DC at his request to come by
and hang out for a bit. Said, mister President, you know,
the one challenge we have now is you fix the
border so fast that expectations are so high on other
things that it can get a little unrealistic that you're
going to solve all the problems super fast and effectively
solve them to the point where they're not problems at
(07:42):
all anymore, which is true of the southern border, not
true of immigration enforcement yet and the interior. But it's
a huge win. Another one to add us. You got
the Iran strikes, you got the border, you got the economy,
you got the Supreme Court. Good things happening, Clay, Good
things are happening.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah, and he's about to get the big beautiful bill pass,
which is going to effectively enshrine budget related issues for
the term. I've said this before on air, but I
do think it's it's really kind of worth contemplating. He's
moving so fast, I don't know how much more he's
going to be able to do and I don't mean
(08:20):
that in a negative way. I just mean he's addressing
the things that he ran on so rapidly. And I
think in the background, you're starting to recognize people on
the left realize that Trump really is delivering in a
way that we haven't seen a president who's a Republican
(08:41):
deliver in basically a generation.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And you say, Okay, what do you mean by that?
George W.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Bush got into office and he'd barely been in office
and nine to eleven happened, and basically it through whatever
governing agenda he was going to have. And you know
this better than anybody bought because you who graduated and
went into the intelligence services, but everything else became secondary
after nine to eleven for Bush. If we have been
(09:07):
able to not have nine to eleven happen, what would
George W. Bush presidency have looked like? I don't think
anybody really knows. Frankly, I don't know that Bush knows,
but it would have been profoundly different. Trump one point zero.
I feel like from the moment he got in, because
of the Russia collusion and the lies about his election
that were spread, felt like he was battling for the
(09:29):
legitimacy of his entire presidency. He still delivered, but it
was a backfoot delivery. He's throwing punches and landing in
a way in two point zero that I think is
staggering a lot of his critics. And one reason he's
having the success that he is is because of the
consequences of his win in twenty sixteen, because a lot
(09:51):
of these six to three decisions would have been five
to four the other way if Hillary Clinton had won.
I think it's really important to continue to point this out.
The lasting, durable conservative majority of this Supreme Court that
is ruling by and large in a way that makes
many people out there listening to us very happy, is
only a result of Trump's win in twenty sixteen, and
(10:13):
I think a lot of people are forgetting this. Six'
three sounds. Substantial it's two judges changing their mind and
you lose five to, FOUR.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
I. UNDERSTAND i mean two.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Judges think about What trump, did changing the majority and
providing a, dural, durable generational change in the direction of the.
Court he now is benefiting from that over one term,
later and, unfortunately it looks like we're going to be
stuck with a moron In Katanji Brown jackson for a
generation or more, two but we could have had three
(10:45):
or Four Katanji Brown, jackson's but Four trump's win in twenty.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Sixteen And i'm happy to see as well that while
the big beautiful bill is making its way through AND
i do believe it's going to get done here next
week and we'll probably talk to a cent or two
before we sign off for the holiday next, week that
The trump administration has done what we've wanted them to,
do all along with the incredible urgency of now or
(11:12):
the acting with the sense of urgency that you really
have eighteen months to make substantial changes To america and
then things start to get bogged down to the mid
term fight and then you're a lame duck president and
they're moving IS i don't THINK i could ask for,
them to ask them to be moving any faster on
(11:32):
the big issues than they have. Been and they've been
tackling a lot of things at the same. Time and
it just goes to show that for people who had
tremendous faith In, trump even through some crazy stuff going
on with the trials that they were putting him. THROUGH i,
mean they criminally prosecuted this, guy he got shot, at
another guy tried to shoot at him another. Time the
stuff That trump had to go through to get to this,
(11:54):
moment and now to rise to this moment in a
way where the administration is so far a just a booming.
SUCCESS i think in every, respect national, security, economics the.
BORDER i think a lot of you should just take
a moment to feel really good about the faith that
you had In trump when you cast your vote for
him this, time the faith you had in the agenda
and in this. Administration and of course the great irony
(12:17):
of it Is clay you, know the purple haired communists
who Hate trump and we're hoping he was thrown in
prison at, all they get to benefit from all the
Good trump policies, too because they're good For. America so,
they despite their their you know utmost wishes and, Attempts
trump is making things better for all of us who
live in this. Country and it's it's a really good
(12:37):
feeling everybody should have going into This Independence. Day you,
know LIKE i always, say take the wins when we've got,
them because you AND i were sitting here when it
was multiple criminal trials up against, him, Dementia joe still
pulling off the con with the. Media you, know there
are plenty of reasons to be concerned about what was,
coming and sure, enough here we. Are it should feel
(12:59):
really good for Every it's been quite a ride.
Speaker 2 (13:02):

Speaker 1 (21:01):
A.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Bears, yeah look buck back WHEN i was a.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Kid, oh Mister Tennessee, like he's Like Davy krockett himself over,
here look at this clay From.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Nashville, well, no look back in the. DAY i don't
think they do this. Anymore but they used to put
bear in concrete pins in Like Pigeon, Forge, tennessee and
you could feed. THEM i don't think they do this.
Anymore but as a, Kid Pigeon forge is, basically AND
i say this affectionately Because i'm From, tennessee the most
(21:34):
redneck place In america AND i have a lot of redneck,
tendency So i'm not judging. It but it is the
only place In america where they still advertise that motels
HAVE hbo And jacuzzie. Tubs it is, perpetually like nineteen
seventy eight or nineteen eighty four, There and WHEN i
was a, kid we would take vacations To Pigeon forge
(21:56):
and Or Pigeon forge like leads Into. Gatlinburg what have
you been to this mountains and buck they had you
would have you would have as A New yorker coming,
down you'd have been, LIKE i can't believe this place is.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Real they had.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Got cart putt putt and bears in concrete pins and
you could pay like two dollars and you could feed the.
Bears well that's not a wild to be clear, that
but they had. Them they had them all out in
the distance In Cade's. Cove that was like the place
where you could see the real, bear but up close
(22:28):
you could basically touch a. Bear you could like just
give a bear food AND i probably not, safe probably
not good for the. Bear but they were, everywhere and
uh and so this WAS i was obsessed with bears
as a, kid BECAUSE i, mean why wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
You they're pretty much like big, dogs, really you, know
at least tend to.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Be, well you just told me somebody got killed by
a bear In florida and.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Kill people, too that's. True, Yeah BUT i saw grizzlies
WHEN i was In, alaska and from far away they
look they look almost like a person in a Grizzli
they kind of lope around and they're all and then
they get close and you go that thing is like
very large and much bigger and stronger and scarier than,
me AND i should probably give it more. Distance so
(23:12):
bears very we're talking about black. Bears this is third hour, conversation.
FOLKS i know we're supposed to do the news of
the day, here But Clay clay stepped into a bear,
trap if you, will and now he's fighting his way
out of.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
IT i just want to make sure that we don't
get anybody. Killed these are black, Bears grizzly, bears tremendously.
Dangerous we have a lot of people listening to us
in grizzly. Country not, lovable not like big. Dogs this
is not A you don't want to be anywhere near
a grizzly. Bear so we're talking about black. Bears no racism.
Funded you, know there.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Really are podcasts where they have full grown managers sit
there like which animal would win in a? Fight and
by the, way it's very rarely a Hard you, know
people think gorillas are way more fierce than they. Are
that's a whole other. Conversation we got into that whole
thing about one hundred people fighting a gorilla with. Silliness
but you know that there's only one In Norse, america
one animal that that consistently, views consistently views not a mistaken,
(24:09):
identity and human beings as. Food what is, it clay.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
One consistently eats humans. Intentionally, yes, lions you mean mountain
lions in The United. STATES i mean like, LIONS i
Said North. America OH i missed The North america. Part,
Yeah North american land. Animal there's only one that will
view a that will view people as, food not eat
(24:35):
if it's, sick not you, know, opportunistic but will Be
oh there's a, Person i'm going to eat that.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
PERSON i, mean grizzly bear would be the. Answer polar.
Bears polar. Bears, yeah they're they're larger and more, aggressive
and they only. Remember grizzly bears eat a whole range of,
things so they'll. Eat Polar bears just eat. Seals they're just.
Carnivores they really don't get into much of any anything.
Else so it is the polar bear that if they see,
(25:02):
you they will track, you they will hunt, you and
they will eat. You so stay lion. Story when you say,
lying you mean like a, puma like a mountain, lion,
right because we don't Have african. LIONS i, mean, Yes
i'm lying for like one hundred and sixty pounds or.
Something you, know you get probably if you let them
get you from the. Backs, Guys i'm, sorry this is
what this show has got off the. Rails, Now i'll
get us back in the news of a. Second but
(25:23):
if the mountain lion gets you from the back with its,
teeth you, know in the, neck if it gets, you
then you're in deep. Trouble but if you square off against,
it you, KNOW i THINK i give it a Swift.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Tabe you got a good right. Leg you're a young.
Dad i'm thinking about trying to save. Children you got
like a four or five year old out, there mountain
lion that is. Dangerous you know this IS i spend
a lot of time when your. Dad you spend a
lot of time preparing for combat with.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
ANIMALS i was throwing.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
My wife under the bus earlier for being wrong about,
Bears but if you asked, HER i expect That i'm
going to have to fight an alligator at some point in.
TIME i WISH i had had to do it. YOUNGER
i haven't had to do it. Yet, yes this is
Like i'm always you. Have, yeah, Well i'm always around
bodies of, water And i'm always prepared for an alligator
to try to attack a. Child i'm always heads on a,
(26:13):
swivel Like i'm gonna. Be i'm going down to the beach.
Tomorrow there are the barrier lakes that might be alligators.
There i'm just, saying if your child, is if you're
drinking beer and you're not paying, Attention i'm gonna save your.
Kid i'm ready If i'm there when an alligator. Attacks
i've been preparing for this my whole. LIFE i know
what to, DO i know my strategy and you, know
(26:34):
preparation is a huge part of the. Battle and, uh
and not to go full G I joe on, you
BUT i am prepared to go after an, alligator not a,
crocodile but an, alligator which is in Northern florida What
i'm gonna come across most. Frequently so who wants to
talk About jerome pal getting fired here at the end
of this at the end of his Ten Jerome. POWELL
(26:55):
i don't think would be very good if an alligator
tried to come after your. Kid not good on interest,
Right also doesn't seem like a guy who's ready to
take on an alligator.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Either just light on.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
EVERYTHING i could See trump throwing an alligator in kind
of the, side you, know the side headlock And trump
is a one THING i will tell you about. Him
for those of you who haven't met him in, PERSON
i know some of you, have he is a when
you're he is a surprisingly large and sturdy. Figure he
is not a you, know he is bigger in every,
sense like when you're, Near like his hair is, bigger his.
(27:25):
Shoulders he's a big.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Dude he's at least six two sixty three and probably
about two SIXTY i would say To Elon musk, similarly
is actually a. Monster he looks Like elon, does like
AN nfl. LINEBACKER i think we tend to think, of you,
know like sort of tech, guys this court of nerdy
and wimpy size.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Wise, well this is why he, said straight, UP i
don't care how Much Mark zuckerberg. Trains i'll just kick
his ass because zuckerbergs, like, YEAH i think that's. True
having SEEN i don't think there's any way that he
would lose that. BATTLE i Think Lauren carrie jiu jitsu
could probably still take Out, zuckerberg you, know even with
his little cool Cool i'm not getting any love On
facebook these days, Anyway so what DO i care so For.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Zuckerberg nobody has any respect for. Him he's like trying
to get back into good grace that you know the
people are talking.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
About you know what else we got by the, way
we got the what's his Name bezos spending a dollar
on a wedding invent For i'm gonna tell you something right, Now,
venice so one, day maybe two day max. Place it's
it's amazing for what it is to see some of
the stuff that's. There, no it Has i've been a
couple of. Times it has no, parks no greenery really
(28:34):
of any. Kind. Uh it smells when it's warm out
because there's a lot of sewage in that, water so
it looks really. Cool and photos and everything. Else but you,
know And i'll tell you the food is kind Of
i'm not a Big venice. Guy other parts Of ITALY i.
Love i'm just trying to save you all the. Disappointment
the best thing you'll see In venice is the scenes
From Indiana jones in The Last. Crusade but now which
(28:56):
is which is very well? Done oh that's the best
of The Indiana jones. Movies, YEAH i think that's probably.
True even THOUGH i used to Say raiders a lost.
ARC i was just trying to BE i just like
to be contentious sometimes and takes me like get.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Older you watch them some hold, Up they hold up
pretty well as a. Group but production Value Last crusade is.
Superior so you don't agree With bezos's decision to have
one hundred million dollar wedding In, Venice well what is?
Speaker 6 (29:18):
He?
Speaker 1 (29:18):
What what is he? Doing? WHAT i know he's got the,
money and people say, Whatever but there's a lot of
things you can do with one hundred million dollars that
are far more meaningful than spending it on on. Them
but then, Again i'm a small. Person this is a
personal preference. Thing my wife AND i, group we're small wedding.
People we didn't want to do a big wedding. Thing
SO i get. It So i'm at the whole opposite.
End for. Me it's like it's the, Church, god immediate,
(29:39):
family that's what a wedding. IS i don't need to have.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
This, yeah the average wedding now costs like forty k,
right that seems crazy to.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
ME i think that's what about what that's. Nationwide that's
if you're going a wedding and you know the outskirts
Of Oklahoma. City average wedding In New york is one
hundred grand. Average that's the average cost of some of these.
Plays that's absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Bonkers but For, bezos if you got two hundred billion,
DOLLARS i actually think that he's making we Threw zuckerberg
under the. BUS i actually Think bezos is starting to
behave more rationally as a reasonable guy compared to the
choices that he was making In trump one point. Zero
(30:25):
AND i don't know If Lauren, sanchez the new, wife
is deserving of this. Credit you, know he moved From,
MIAMI i mean From seattle To. MIAMI i think that
might have given him a little bit of a cultural.
Swing not to take a shot at anybody living In,
seattle but if you're a rich, GUY i would much
rather live in rich single, guy would you rather live
In miami Or? SEATTLE i, MEAN i don't even see
(30:46):
that as remotely a. Choice AND i Think bezos is
From miami, originally and, look The Washington post is still a,
mess BUT i think he's been more open to free
speech as Had zuckerberg the wake Of Evon musk Buying,
twitter WHICH i think is maybe the blaze trail that they.
Followed and SO i hope the wedding goes, well.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
But i'd like to go at some point throw something
else your. Way we try to think of of fun
trips to go on and things that are worthwhile for the.
Show you, know we just went TO dc and we
Had Palm beach before. THAT i was just In france For,
iHeart and you, know we we have to sometimes have
excellent adventures here on this. SHOW i don't know if
(31:30):
you saw, this But North korea just opened its first
ever water park with room for twenty thousand. Visitors they,
say and this is the eeriest scariest water PARK i
think you. Can it's In North. Korea, Everybody, clay if
we were guaranteed that we would come back, alive would
(31:54):
you want to go see The North korean water?
Speaker 2 (31:56):
PARK i, would BECAUSE i think IF i wrote a
story about going to The North korean water, Park it
would probably be an incredible, story AND i don't know
how Many americans will ever see.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
IT i can't believe.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Only open To russians And chinese and obviously Wealthy North
koreans right, now that's the only people that are allowed to.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Go Kim Jong un is a good test case scenario
for what would happen, if, like the whole world Of
korea is A North korea is so crazy that he
would decide he's like the kid who was the fat
kid In Pee Wee. Herman do you remember the fat
(32:36):
kid at the what's that guy's? Name the fat kid
playing with the boats And Pee Wee herman that decides
he has to Have Pee Wee herman's bike in the
basement of The. Alamo, francis thank. You Kim Jong un
is what would happen If francis had grown up and
ended up in charge of a. Country if you Watched
(32:58):
Pee Wee, herman think about. It the kid in the
pool that Is Kim Jong. Un francis would have been, Like,
hey we're going to build a huge water park and
we're gonna have nuclear. Weapons that Is Kim Jong un
all grown, up the fat, kid fat rich kid from
The Peewee herman movies.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
And it kind of sums them.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Up everybody out there who's seen those, movies, like, yeah
that is exactly What francis would have been.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Like so there you.
Speaker 2 (33:22):

boy went down to the, canoe alligator jumped up grabbed
him by the. Arm some adults nearby saw it happen
immediately jumped on the gator before he could go into
a death fire and rip his arm. Off they managed
to free the. Kid he's, okay except for a few functure.
