Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Tutor Dixon Podcast. Before I bring in
my guest today, I just want to tell a little
bit about my experience with her quickly, and that is
that as I got more and more into politics, I
started to sort of watch this lady and she has
five daughters and I have four daughters, and all of
a sudden, she goes from being heavily involved to working
(00:21):
in the White House. And I had the pleasure of
meeting with her in the West Wing when she was
working in the White House, and that meeting was very
impactful for me because that was kind of the moment
where I said to myself, Okay, you can do big
things and still be incredibly close to your daughters. So
I am honored to have Mercedes slap with me today. Mercedes,
(00:41):
thank you for joining.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Me, Tudor. What a journey. I know. I feel like
the proud older sister watching you grow so much and
all that you've done as well to stand up for
freedom and stand up for Michigan and for America.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Well, thank you.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
I mean, honestly, it takes other people to get you
into this, and you are that person for me. You
really I've watched you and Matt and what you've been
able to do, and just you know, being the director
of strategic communications for the president, what a huge job.
And I think that as we watch what's happening in
this campaign, there's a lot I mean, it's all communications.
(01:17):
And so that's why I was like, Okay, this is
the perfect time to have Mercedes on to talk about this.
And we just saw this or listened to this interview
with Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and I heard somebody
that I saw somebody tweet out this is sort of
like going back in time. It's like bringing radio back
where we're all huddled around listening. And we were at
(01:37):
my house, so I'm assuming you were as well.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well. I think we had problems getting into the interview itself, right,
we've been able to capture some bits and pieces of it,
and just I think the millions and millions of listeners
who were able to really get a picture get a
glance of how President Trump is as a person. I
think that you've seen what the media has done to
(02:02):
demonize President Trump and the Democrats, to destroy President Trump,
his family, and his supporters. And it's nice when you
have such a stroke like two of the most fascinating
world known men in you know that to basically be
able to have this conversation in talking about what solutions
need that we need here in America. Look, we know
(02:25):
right now that America is in probably one of the
most delicate states that we've seen this country. We're at
the basically right there on the cliff about to fall
over here if we don't try to really start to
get this country going back in the right direction. Our
(02:46):
freedoms are at stake, our values are at stake. And
we know that Kamala and Tim Tim Walls are not.
They are so extreme, they are such socialists that they
do not represent where the vast majority of Americans are.
Despite the fact that the media is trying to quote
unquote recreate, reintroduce Kamala Harris, make her into Barack Obama
(03:10):
two point zero. And I hope to god the American
people are smart enough to see through this and not
fall into this and accepting this deception that we're seeing
coming out of the Harris campaign.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
And I like the way you said that, because I
think that was what Elon Musk was trying to show
when they had this interview on x and he said
that ahead of time, he was like, look, I want
you to actually see who he is. I think you
can get a lot more from a conversation than you
can get from an interview. An interview is very stuffy,
it's very formal. I want you to see what he's
like to talk to. That was meaningful to me because, yes,
(03:46):
it's a different conversation, and this was someone who is
kind of a larger than life figure. I would say,
Elon Musk is a larger than life figure. And he's saying,
I've had this conversation. He's a normal guy. I want
you to hear it. But I also think it was
impactful because if you are a voter out there and
you are being kind of enticed by this whole Kamala
(04:07):
Kamala shebang and everything that's come out about, you know,
it's like a party, right, But where is the substance?
And I always tell people ask where the substance is
because if you cannot talk on all of those subjects.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
And that was the beauty of last night.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Donald Trump wasn't sitting there with having people pass him
notes and trying to learn things on the fly, or
sitting there with a notebook. He was able to talk
to every issue because he lives it in his heart.
And that's what I think people don't understand. Kamala can't
do that well.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
And that's the thing. So it's interesting because you're watching
the media and you know, even even the Trump campaign
and other Republicans saying, oh, Kamala is not given an
interview in twenty days, and you know, oh, well, Kamala
won't speak to reporters. And I'm thinking to myself, I'm like,
of course the campaign can't. That's like a brilliant idea.
I don't know if I'm on there, a like Kamala,
(05:01):
we're gonna lock you down. It's gonna be locked down, Kamala.
We've seen basement Biden that worked. We're locking you down
so you don't go talk off script because we know
that when you speak without a script, without the talking points,
you're gonna you're gonna fail. And she's very weak when
she's put in those types of situations. So like this
idea that oh, she's got to give an interview, like no,
(05:24):
Like the Kamala campaign could literally be like, yeah, well, whatever,
we're not gonna give an interview. We have eighty five days,
y'all can complain I'm gonna do my thing, and her
thing right now is working her whole recreation of her campaign.
You have the Obama people in charge of her campaign.
They're trying to set it up as being a joyful
(05:45):
place to be. And that is where you why you
want to vote for her, because they are going to
try to make that differentiation that Kamala is a light
that Trump is is darkness. And let me tell you something.
Where Trump has to stand strong is not have to
worry about giving twenty million interviews. It is about pointing
out the policy differences, basically saying are we better off
(06:06):
today than we were four years ago? This idea that
Kamala is basically saying she'll be ready to serve on
day one. She's already been quote unquote serving in office
for three and a half years. We know their record.
Their record is families cannot afford to pay for their
grocery bills, they cannot afford to pay for gas electricity,
(06:27):
families are financially stressed out. Young gen xers, millennials, they
can't even afford to buy a first home. They're living
with their parents because it is so ridiculously expensive. And
then on top of that. You have, you know, more
and more wars that have broken out under the watch
of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. You have an open
(06:49):
border where you've seen millions of people come in illegally,
many of them from you know, it's from different countries.
I mean, you're talking about China. Roan goes on and
on and the essen since we have no idea, there's
been no proper vetting of these individuals coming into America.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Where's And she's already been on record saying she's going
to get rid of detention camp, she's going to stop
even stopping people at the border. And now I think
they're trying to manipulate that and say, oh, that's not
really She's not for that anymore.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Wait a minute, you can't. It doesn't go both ways.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
But it does for them because they have the media
on their side. So they will eliminate everything she's said
in the past. They will erase her past behavior, her
past comments. They will create this new Kamala and they
will not show the American people who she really is.
And so you as you're saying this, I'm just in
my head, I'm thinking, gosh, you know, I'd rather not
(07:44):
have all of the rallies, not have all the money
spent on rallies, and have an education campaign that is
targeting people's social media cell phones.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
They're spending so much more money there than we are.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
So I go a lot. I love my you know,
I'm Catholic, So I love going on my YouTube Catholic channels.
I love, you know, go get my prayers, do my rosary.
Freaking ay, Kamala Harris appears every single time I have
to look on YouTube. I'm like, how is this possible?
Even match flap? I mean, come on, he's getting texts
from the Kamala Harris campaign.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
I do too.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Okay, she hasn't targeted me, which is kind of hysterical.
But all I'm saying is you're right. It's like, I
know everyone's talking about crowd sides and rally sizes and
oh she's not doing the interviews. It does not matter.
What's going to matter is early voting ground game, making
sure that there's true election integrity. Who's going to be
(08:37):
watching those ballot boxes to make sure that they're not cheating.
I mean, we have such bigger issues to deal with
in states like Pennsylvania, In states like Michigan and states
like Wisconsin, because at this point the Republicans are going
to be outspent, out maneuvered by the Democrats if we
don't get that ground game and that legal game really
really into a point that we are even remotely competing
(09:01):
with the Democrats at this point in time. You've seen
it in Michigan and how they do this. The cities
are a disaster when it comes to these voting issues. However,
you can't really talk about them because then they're gonna
call you an election denier. This is what these people
have done.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
I mean, in Michigan, it's so bad that if you
even so much as say something about the election online.
We had a woman who said she was complaining because
she claimed that the polling places had been changed within
sixty days instead of giving sixty days notice, gave the change.
It was here, now it's here. That was all accurate.
She got to cease and desist from the attorney general
(09:36):
and said, if you don't take this post down, you
will be criminally prosecuted. That's what we're dealing with. And
that's what happens if you don't win elections. I mean,
it's like the chicken or the egg. Come on, guys,
let's get it together. Who's on first here? I keep
hearing people, Oh, we've got the ground game, We've got
the ground and oh no, they've got the ground game.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Like, just tell me, does somebody have the ground game?
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah? And look, I do have confidence in Michael Wattley
and Trump at the RNC. I think that was a
very positive change to the RNC. I think, you know,
they have been able to build out the Trump Force
forty seven force, which I think is really smart. It's
a good strategy to make sure that we have boots
on the ground. But we got to make sure that
(10:17):
if you're voting early, that then we make sure those
ballots get in early. That we don't depend on election
day just for people to go because God only knows
if there's going to be a cyber attack on the
voting machines. I mean, we have really big issues where
we do not know if these secretary of States in
these critical states are basically prepared to handle a cyber
(10:37):
attack that could take down voting machines that can handle
you know, the fact that if there's some discrepancies with
ballot boxes or signatures, like we don't know because it's
all so different in these different states, and so we're faced.
We're in a situation where, look, I think the campaign
Trump campaign has to go in as the underdog. They
(10:57):
have to go in like with their ten points down. Yes,
she has a momentum right now. I think Kamala Harris,
as you're going into this convention, they're really going to
build it out as a Hollywood style type of convention.
They're going to pull out the emotional strings, which is
what Democrats do best. But we have literally to peel
that onion to show how extreme these individuals are. You're
(11:21):
talking about a Harris Walls ticket is the most extreme
far left ticket that the Democrat Party has ever supported.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Stay right where you are for more of my interview
with Mercedes Schlapp, But first I want to tell you
quickly about my partners at IFCJ. We are approaching the
one year anniversary of the horrific Hamas attacks on Israel,
and still the Holy Land continues to be attacked on
multiple fronts. Deadly threats are increasing across northern Israel. Constant
rocket attacks from Hesbula have been fired at Israel, causing
(11:56):
widespread damage with raging wildfires destroying precious farmland. Since the
war started, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has
been on the forefront in Israel, addressing the needs of
the most vulnerable. And you guys can help. That's why
I'm partnering with IFCJ today. Your life saving donation will
provide emergency food as well as critical security needs such
(12:19):
as flak jackets, firefighting equipment, armored vehicles, bomb shelters and more.
We're looking for five hundred listeners to join the Fellowship
and me by donating one hundred and fifty dollars to
meet their urgent needs. And you, guys, you know I
talk to them and they know it's you. They know
it's Christians in America, and they're so grateful that we
are helping them through these troubled times. And now, thanks
(12:42):
to your generous gift, an IFCJ supporter will double your
impact in the Holy Land. Call to make your gift today.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
It's eight eight eight four eight eight IFCJ. That's eight
eight eight four eight eight four three two five, or
go online to support IFCJ dot org to give. That's
one word, it's support I f c J dot org.
Israel needs your support now more than ever. Thank you
so much and more with Mercedes slap after this.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I see it already in Michigan with our local elections
and the manipulation, and I can just imagine what this
convention is going to be.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
And the lies that will be spread.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
That's the frustrating thing is yesterday you had one of
the folks at the White House Press conference who was
asking KJP, is there anything you can do to stop this?
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Elon Musk inter.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Yeah, yeah, that But that to me is it's so
I mean, I guess gaslighting is the word. But because
I know that next week when they go into the DNC,
they're going to start with the they're gonna get rid
of contraception, and they're gonna ban abortion, and they're gonna
do this, and they're gonna do that, and it's all
stuff that federally can't happen, but they're gonna say it anyway.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Well, and I love you. That was a Washington Post
reporter who asked the question to Karine Jean Pierre. I
actually remember back in the day when the Washington Post,
while always i leftist paper, was still kind of manageable
to read. Once in a while. It has gone so
far left, and you look at every single one of
their news headlines and it is first of all, they're
(14:20):
trying to destroy JD Vance like I've never seen before.
And then they praise anything that's commoner or anything that's
tim Walls, and Tim Walls talk about talk about beyond
like a fraud, like this guy had we had to
retire basically as was his position was reduced to a
major sergeant. He didn't have, you know, he had to
(14:40):
he didn't hit the requirements when it came to his
military duty, and that he abandons his unit when they
get deployed to go to Iraq. I mean, this is
no hero. This is not someone who even carried weapons,
you know, in military, in it in war. This guy
is a wimp, and yet he tried to sell himself.
(15:01):
Is like I completely connect with you know, the military,
and you know, and it's all just such a fraud.
On top of that, abortions without limitations, basically stripping parental
rights when it comes to these surgeries on these children,
these gender surgeries on these children. It is outrageous how
extreme Tim Walls is and he tries to come across
(15:25):
being this like likable white dude, which I don't you know,
and try to see if he can be relatable to
working class Americans. But when you dig deeper, it is
an extreme agenda where again like women need to wake
up and be like, I can't, we can't support.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
This an extreme agenda that is so horrible for working
class Americans. I mean, look at what has happened in
the state of Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
It's a sanctuary state.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
He wants to bring in all of the illegal migrants
to take the monies that would be used to help
people who are in working class or other income levels.
They're taking that away. They're taking taxpayer dollars in paying
for health care for migrants. He's also look at what
he did in Minneapolis. Why would you let working class
people's businesses burn? Why would you let that happen for
(16:12):
days on end and not do anything knowing that you
had the opportunity to do something, And why would you
be okay with your wife then saying that she opened
the windows of the mansion so that she could smell
the businesses burning. Why do middle class americans look at
that and say, hey, someone who is anti police, who
wouldn't send the police into businesses when they were desperately
needing help, watched his own police department burn. I mean,
(16:35):
this is insane when we look at this. But then
also where do his ideologies come from? His obsession with
China has been incredibly scary for many, many years, and
why is this not being reported on if it were
the other way around, if this were Jadaevance to be
all we hear. Now we find out that they're going
into JD. Vance's Wikipedia page. They're trying to take away
(16:56):
accolades and metals and everything else that is positive in his.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
History and build up walls.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
I mean, they have control over the democrats and the radicals.
They have control over all of the information, and they're
changing histories. And this is something that we know from history,
is that any group that comes in and starts to
try to erase history, like socialists and communists do, where
they take down statues, where they get rid of history books.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Where they get rid of the stories.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Of the wars and the battles and the hardships and
what you've overcome when you take away even the knowledge
of yes, we've had ugly parts of history and we've
overcome them. When you take that away and you reshape
the future, you go back to the wrongdoings, and that's
where we're headed under a governor Walls and him getting
into any higher power. I think he's his connection to
(17:49):
China and his romanticized view of that country and that
regime is very scary.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah, no, I agree with you. And look, I think
that's why it's important we're entering into this kind of
last several months here in this election that people need
to wake up, like I think that more so, I think, yes,
there's this huge excitement and enthusiasm that's definitely going in
the direction of Kamala. The media is basically shaping this
(18:18):
propaganda to get her reelected. They will do everything they
can to stop Donald Trump, to the point that they
even want to erase the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
I mean, no one talks about it anymore unless Congress
is going to do this congressional hearing. That's it. No
one talks about the fact that President Trump was so
close to being killed and that you you know, and
(18:40):
yet we're still dealing with the fact that, you know,
there's all this hatred towards Donald Trump, all this hatred
towards the MAGA movement. But yet when you think about
a Trump economy, when you think about how much safer
we were under Donald Trump, even the world was just
a calmer place, you know, I think that. But that's
what is so important to talk about. You know, I
(19:04):
have friends who literally say, look, I don't love everything
about Donald Trump, but I'm more aligned to him than
I am to Kamala Harris. And I think pointing out
that extremism of Kamala Harris, where you know, she was
part of letting out violent offenders, you know, pedophiles who
have raped and killed young girls. And you've seen these
(19:24):
illegal immigrants as well, that should have no business being
in America. Yet they have you know, killed mothers, they
have killed and raped children. This is all under the
Kamala Harris watch, and she has to be held accountable
and the American people deserve to know the truth.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Stay tuned for more of my interview with Mercedes Schlapp,
But first I want to take a moment to tell
you about my partners at Bond Arms. It's Tutor Dixon here,
and everyone knows I'm a firm believer in our own
God given Second Amendment rights, and I'm hoping that This
November election is going to restore every day American values.
But now is the time for you to purchase a
(20:05):
firearm to protect yourself, your home, and your loved ones.

thirty year old handgun company called bond Arms. Bond Arms

com and learn about the bond Arms handguns with MSRPs

up to a fifty dollars rebate on your new bond

sent you. It's get Bondarms dot com and stay tuned
because I'll have more with Sadie slap after this. I
always find it interesting these people that are like, well,
there are certain things that I don't like about them. Well,
(21:09):
you're not asking him to marry your daughter, you're not
asking him to become a part of your family. There
are you don't want to be sitting down with Putin,
but you certainly don't want somebody who isn't going to
be able to hold their own sitting down with Putin.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Like, let's face it, this job is not for the
meek in the mild.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
It's not for the random person that can go up
on stage and dance with the latest rap artist.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
That's not the requirements for this job.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
And the fact that people think that the funny social
media videos, that the TikTok videos, that the dances on
the stage with the rest of your colleagues, that that's
the requirement for the job, it blows my mind.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
I'm like, you're not asking this person to be your priest.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
You're asking them to lead in a very complicated world
right now.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Well, I mean, and part of it is because our
society has become almost so superficial where it's like the
quick you know, uh x post or the quick TikTok video,
and it's really saying, wait a second, you got to
dig deeper. You got to know the facts. You got
to differentiate between what is real and what's propaganda. And
the left is say, know how to do this? This
is what they've done in Marxist you know the types
(22:19):
of governments where and they're being applied here within the
United States. It's taken a hold in this country. But
you know, I will say, you know, yesterday I had
one of those days where I, you know, was getting
all these calls about the Trump campaign and what was
happening there, and there was just a lot of kind
of this stressful conversation. I walk in the girls, you know,
they're still in summer breaks some of them, and they're
(22:41):
watching Dance Moms, and I freak. I was like, turn
off the I'm like, police, turn off the TV. I
can't handle this. I can't you know, I need silence.
Like it was one of those and the girls on
you oh gosh, mom's having one of those. Is having
a tough day. Then I went to Mass at night
and it's you know, it's a Monday, so you you know,
but watching about fifty people were in that church at least,
(23:02):
which is shocking. It is a Monday night, and I
have to say there was this moment where I literally
just prayed to God and I was like, what is
the message? What do we need to know? And the
word that came to me and it was literally the
priest was in his homily set it. He said, it's
about perseverance. It's we have to have perseverance. We have
to continue this fight. We have to do it with
(23:25):
brave bravery, we have to do it with wisdom. We
have to pray really hard during this period of time.
We have to pray for miracles. We saw that miracle
happen on July thirteenth when the president through literally like
too you know, less than two centimeters where he didn't
die and and I where the bullet didn't hit his brain.
(23:46):
And so we're at a point in time right now
that there is so much of this hype around Kamala Harris,
and we got to go back to the basis of
literally of prayer, of having that wisdom and focus and
persever year and to be able to effectively communicate the
truth of Kamala Harris and the truth about Donald Trump
(24:07):
and what Donald Trump can do to ensure that our
country gets back on track, for the sake of our families,
for the sake of our future grandchildren, for the sake
of America. And I think that that, to me is
what really came to me. Where I know for the
next eighty five days, that's what we all have to
focus on and also get involved in the selection process
(24:30):
in your own community.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Right it is overwhelming, I think right now it's really
overwhelming because we have never seen this before. We have
never seen our opponent suddenly change, and there's a lot
of preparation that goes into a race of this magnitude,
and what they did was shocking and absurd, and yet
we're here. And it's funny because in Isaiah forty when
(24:53):
you read about if you rely on God, you will
have wings that you will soar like wings an eagle.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
You will run and not grow weary.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
You will walk and not grow week And I'm I
keep thinking to myself, that is what we need to hear.
You will soar on wings like eagles. You know you
will continue. You have three months to go, just continue.
You will run this race and not grow weary. You know,
God is telling us, Hey, look at me, I've got
this and whatever the plan is, the plan is good.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
That is right, amen. I mean I do that with
I know with your kids, you do the same thing,
which is, you know, we sit down and have very
serious conversations. It's kind of funny because my oldest who
you know, swore off of politics because she's been doing
politics since she was twelve years old. Now she's a
senior in college, she's right back to it again. Where
she's like, here's a deal, Mom, I'm not going to
date anyone who's not you know, Catholic or Christian, conservative
(25:46):
and like and is not a Trump supporter if they
have to be a Trump supporter. I was like, I've
Mom's done good, you know, because she knows what's x stake,
and she knows the president's heart, and she knows that
he's fighting for the right things, being a very imperfect man,
fighting for the right things for the American family, and
that we cannot fall to the lies and the deception
(26:07):
of Kamala Harris no matter how good she looks, no
matter how I mean, I feel like she's been copying
some of my like suits for the past couple of days.
Every time I see her, like, oh, I own a
suit like that, and I'm trying to recreate her, and
I'm like, you are not me, okay, So like, back off, lady.
You're the one that doesn't, you know, talk about you know,
(26:27):
the woman who does not understand what the needs are
of families. I think it's clearly her.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
It's so true, and I just I appreciate you coming
on here today. It's such a good reminder, and for me,
I feel like it's a time of us to say, yes,
we watch this race, and yes we're all engaged. And
if you're listening, you're likely also engaged in what's happening
in politics. But I think sometimes we can step away
from that in our own houses. And I like what
you just said that your daughter came back to you
(26:56):
and said that, because I think it is important to
continuously say to our kids, especially our daughters, find someone
who has the same values as you. Find someone who
shares faith, find someone who adores you. These are the
important things in life. And no matter what we face
in the world, if we are one with our spouse
(27:16):
and God, then we'll get through this.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Amen.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
That's right, sister, Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
So don't be shy about talking to your kids about this.
I'm learning this and I'm learning it from people like you.
You are always a great mentor. So thank you so
much for joining me today.
Speaker 2 (27:29):

crazy leftist media clips and there are crazy opinions and
then we you know, we have fun kind of criticizing them.
(27:56):
So that's always fun. And I'm a Newsmax contributor to
so on the Right Squad which tutor you need to
come over to DC? And yeah, on that show. It's
a great show.
