Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome to Waken Jake Myself, Jake's story, Ellie
producing his buns off BBD is The New York Yankees
fight for their lives in the World Series after going
down three games to nothing. Last time I talked to
on Monday morning, I was like, oh, you know, let's
(00:22):
bring it back home. That Game one loss, just put
it in our rearview. Win game three, get the bullpen
day here we go. They did not win Game three,
They got dominated in Game three. The scoreboard looks a
lot closer than it was, as the Dodgers had a
couple They had runners on first and third, nobody out,
(00:48):
and they also had a basis loaded situation against believe
it was Mark Ler Junior. I think both were that
Game two if you look at the box score and
it pops up a four to two score or Game three,
excuse me, they both did. But Game three that was
not a four to two game. The Yankees literally homered
(01:11):
with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to
make it go from four to nothing to four to two.
Would have been cool if Claver got out and gave
so too a chance. He did not, So the Yankees
are down three to zero. And very very well known
in baseball circles. But only one team has come back
(01:33):
down three to nothing, and it was the Boston Red
Sox against the New York Yankees in two thousand and four.
There's documentary out about it right now. I think we
were supposed to kind of be in a couple of
the scenes produced by the Barnacle Bros. They came to
our office. I think our friends at MLB said, you
sure you need those guys. That's for another time. That's
(01:55):
for another time. And in the World Series, this is
what was. I'm gonna label this as cool for now
because I'm still a little broken about the Yankees. We
don't think the Yankees are gonna win the World Series.
But the stats that were coming out were nuts. The
(02:16):
fact that only was it only three teams had taken
it to Game five.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
It was like two had ever taken it to a
Game six, and not a much bigger number had even
won Game five.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
The stats were nuts. And I don't know if it's
just good team versus bad team. I don't know if
it's being broken, and I don't know if it's the
baseball gods or whatever it is. Well, hey, it's a
really hard task in any sport, in any of the
sports that play seven game series, if you go down
three to zero, you're usually out gunned and it's usually
(02:54):
gonna be hard to come back from that. We have seen,
and it's a theory that I've been working on in
my shower thoughts, the the fact that analytics has gotten
into sports with more scoring, Like that's kind of the key, right,
Like they used to rush the ball on every down
in football, Basketball they've shot started shooting more threes. Baseball
(03:15):
they essentially try to hit more home runs. That when
these things come to fruition, there's more scoring. Which if
there's more scoring, that allows wider range of results. There's
something there I could publish, something I won't, but we
have seen what the Celtics came back from down three
(03:37):
to zero against the Sixers, if I remember correctly, but
they lost game seven. Tatum got hurt on like the
the first play. Otherwise I think that would be something
we talk about more. Football obviously doesn't work this way,
but you know, we're seeing the largest comebacks in football history.
Do you remember when the Jaguars came out back in
(04:00):
their wild card game? Say that was like twenty eight
to three. The more scoring, the bigger the comebacks for
the Yankees. God, I hope Game one doesn't haunt us
as Yankee fans, because I might as well do this part.
I just did it with my guy Louis at the
front desk of our building. H God, I hope Game
(04:22):
one doesn't come back to hurt us. He a little
inside Louise, awesome cat about, very similar body type to me,
nice little goatee, play soccer. We talk about it. And
for Game one of the World Series, he's like, you know,
he opens up the DraftKings app in front of me.
I'm like, okay, slippery slope for us, Louise, but I
(04:44):
was like, the Yanks should win this game. I'm a
Yankees fan, but it was Garrett Cole. It was Jack
Flaherty coming off of a very bad start that we
didn't know. We didn't know what that meant. And for
Yankee fans, I think Yankee fans, I think the other
thing going through their head. Me and Jim were in
(05:07):
locks up on this. The Yamamoto game seemed like the
scarier game. I think the Dodgers even lined up Yamamoto
for Game two just because they know what they're gonna
get from him a little more than Flaherty. The Yankees
had a really good chance to win that Game one,
whether it's the not connected relay throw, whether it's you know,
(05:31):
there's two outs in the tenth inning. If Freddy Freeman
gets under it by another inch and that's caught at
the warning track by Soto, we're talking about a two
to two series. We are not. Dodgers won Game one,
they go up three to nothing. It is now three
to one. After the Yankees win bullpen day, the offense
(05:55):
goes off. It is against pitchers that had not pitched
yet series and are currently not a part of the
Dodgers winning formula. Casparius, Hudson, Knack and Honeywell could be
their last outings of this postseason. Brett Honeywell with a
fifty pitch inning, I'd have to assume that's the only
one this year. I don't know how you research that.
(06:16):
That feels like something you type in and you hope
stat muse has.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
But postseason, I'd say, for sure, postseason.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
You'd like to think, right the thing that will be
interesting tonight. We'll be in the building for Game five,
excited for that. Never been to a Yankees World Series game.
I've been to Diamondbacks Game five elimination last year. People
(06:45):
forget that. That's been haunting me a little bit. That
was kind of a bad time. Guy just wanted me
to get in the damn pool. I said, if the
Diamondbacks score, you're a run. They did not score him
a run in and out one day. That was a
big jake one. Also the twenty twenty World Series in
(07:10):
the building for that the Randy Rose Arena crazy play
at the third base game. Very excited to see the
stadium tonight. It's Garrett Cole. Part of the reason people
thought they lost Game one was that they pulled Garrett
Cole too early. The Yankees have loved their a bullpen
(07:31):
this playoffs and their bullpen has been great. Their bullpen
has been the best unit on their team throughout the playoffs.
Their bullpen has been really strong. That they pulled Garrett
Cole after eighty eight pitches, they went to their bullpen
and you know the sliding doors effect. If they had
given Garrett Cole one or two more batters, would that
(07:53):
have extended Luke Weaver frest innings? Do they win that game?
If you play that game all day. Part of me
think the Yankees analytics team was like, this series is
you know, it's only three percent. The Yankees get swept, uh,
then they're looking at a sweep. It's where sports gets
dramatic and it's what people want to hear. It's truly
(08:15):
a bit of a Garrett Cole legacy game in a way.
It's not if the Yanks go down and it's sad
like they're at bats wear in Game two and three,
It'll become something we talk about in talking Yanks when
next postseason rolls around. If Garrett Cole has a solid
start tonight, if he has a mess start tonight, you're like, oh,
(08:36):
you know, Garrett, that Game five, this series was over.
No team's ever come back three to zero. He should
be no restrictions, Garrett Cole Tonight should be what baseball
has been asking for starting pitchers for the past ten
years now, is to get back to the Hey, dude,
(08:57):
you've got this is a World Series game. You've got
one hundred and fifteen bullets if you need him. I'm
obviously rooting to see a special type performance from Garrett Cole.
The Yankees have their good bullpen available. They did not
burn them out last night, Tommy Cainley does not pitch.
(09:18):
Luke Weaver throws nineteen pitches. He was going to come
out for the ninth inning, but they didn't need him
because they opened up the scoring. So it would be
his third day in a row pitching six bullets on
Monday twenty one last night. Excuse me twenty one? Can
you do something for me? If the Yankees win tonight,
(09:44):
beliefs starts to kick in for Yankee fans, which is
scary and stinks. I'm also the range of emotions remembering
that game one. Whenever those emotions come back into play,
that's going to sting a lot. Potentially the thing I'm
interested to see because it was a one run game
(10:07):
at one point last night and decent, decently into the
game and a risky I shouldn't say a risky move
by the Yangies. I think it was the right move.
Luis Heel had looked pretty good after giving up another
two run homer to Freddie Freeman. It was a five
to two game. They put Louise He'll back out there
(10:29):
and they try to steal at least two outs. They're
in the bottom of their lineup. The eight to nine
hitter home run, Will Smith walk, Tommy Edmond, here comes show, Hey,
tying run at the plate. Hello, welcome, Welcome to the
goddamn show. They end up somewhat getting out of it.
Glabor can't turn a double play, which I was joking
(10:51):
last night on Talking Baseball if we were doing defensive
run saved in nineteen ninety two, when we were just
like tracking, it literally would be at minus two defensive
run saved from the relay throw and not turning that
double play. Last night with the tough toss to Volpi,
he hits a three run homer later, So net Net
(11:14):
Labor good, Dave Roberts and the Dodgers did not use
their good bullpen in this game. And this has been
a topic that I have now covered through the Mets series.
I think I've covered it in the Padres series. The
Dodgers have an a bullpen that is an absolute weapon
(11:34):
for them except Trining little Asterisk. The Yankees have now
gotten to him in both of his outings between Banda
and Vessia, the lefties and they can go through the
bottom of the order and then Kopek and then Bruce
Starr graderol you who had big Bruce Starr looking like this.
(11:54):
We didn't know he was going to be on the roster,
and he has an argument for the best reliever in
the series right now that they've got Kopek and Graderol
to go through the righty lanes, they've got Vesia and
Banda to go through the lefty lanes. And again Blake Tryning,
still Blake trying, but the Yanks have had a little
bit of success against him. Could they have gone out
(12:16):
and tried to get that game yesterday, I don't know.
The answers probably know right and we've seen them. They
punted Game two against the Mets. You know, they lost
Game five and didn't deplore their good bullpen against the Mets,
and it didn't burn them at all. In fact, it
kind of allowed them to refresh one of the strengths
(12:39):
of their teams. They came out, they won the rest
of their games that they needed. The only thing I
would say for the Yankees, and you know, it's what
you believe in in sports and baseball. They did allow
the Yankees' bats to wake up, and momentum in baseball
(13:03):
is something that the nerds argue and doesn't exist in
the old phrase used to be momentums only as good
as your next starting pitcher. I believe in that to
a degree. I believe in feeling good at the plate.
And every Yankee had a hard hit ball yesterday except
Anthony Rizzo, who made a nice diving catch into the
net psychedelic flashback for riz made his presence felt Yeah,
(13:29):
he was there, and let's be honest, he's currently not
there to provide pop for the Yankees lineup. Hasn't Homer
since June.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Given more in that regardless playoff run than the Yankees expected.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Hit by pitch walks, slap a single. Why not Anthony
Volpi hits a grand slam. He had been a huge
part of flipping the lineup in the CS and the DS,
along with Anthony Rizzo, Austin Wells, who had been lost
at the plate, and man maybe circle him the most
(14:04):
because Austin Wells. This Yankee season was I don't want
to say laboring a little bit, but this Yankee season
was laboring a little bit. They couldn't find a leadoff
hitter and they couldn't find a cleanup hitter between Verdugo,
between Glabor between uh, you know, Stanton was out for
a little bit, and they liked the balance. Rizzo wasn't performing,
(14:28):
they couldn't find a leadoff hitter, and they couldn't find
a cleanup hitter. Austin Wells really settled this team down
and allowed them to take off and essentially win the
division with a four month run that entered him in
the Rookie of the Year chase. You know, we can
(14:49):
get the butter knife if you want it. But he
was essentially an eight hundred eight fifty ops type player
for four months of this season. He started very slow,
had a slow ap, he limped into the finish line.
Peeps will get you the best split. He's on it
before we even get into it.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I know there's two different versions of it.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
I can do. There's splits on him. He was really
good for a chunk oh the baseball season, and Glabor
Torre is in the leadoff spot who we've seen this postseason.
He just had a bad first half. He had a
really solid second half where he's getting on base a
ton which in front of Soto and Judge is normally
all you ask uh that Austin Wells being an actual threat,
(15:33):
because he might have been. He might have been the
biggest zero in the lineup he was giving overall, the
least I like for Dougo at least in a couple
of these situations has given you like the RBI ground
out feels.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
And it feels like the hits for Dugo did get
were like, hey, he picked the right time to do it.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
It could be expectation plus, it could be expectation a
little bit. But Austin wells if he returns to being
a threat. And all of this is before big Aaron Judge,
who's at bats have been looking better and something. Our
guy Ryan Ruco texted us before the series. He was like, hey,
I think Judge has gotten better the longer each series
(16:16):
has gone. And we were like, okay, little head tilt
and if you look at the box scores, there's something there.
Obviously it's not, you know, zero hits, one hit, two
home runs, three home runs, but you know, Judge has
looked a little bit off. Last game he was barely off.
He had a nice single that he put a charge
into and then he had two of his a swings
(16:38):
that were just off the end of the bat. That
the only thing that could be interesting if this, if
this series makes itself get actually interesting, by not going
to their a pen. The Yankees bats feeling good, do
they get them sparked or not. I think there is
(16:58):
something to that, to feeling hot, to being hot, to
having good at bats, because Game four they did not,
and all of this could fall on its face tonight.
If Jack Flerity comes out and essentially did what he
did in Game one, they basically need four innings out
of him, and they've got good bullpen to cover it.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
It's a formula they'll feel good about it's worked, even
with the off day looming. If it somehow goes wrong,
they would still deploy it the same way.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
They didn't use their good bullpen yesterday. They got an
off day tomorrow, Jack Flerity, I mean, they essentially need
three good ones. Four is what they truly want for
the two lefty lanes and their three good righties. That, yeah,
Jack Flerity can give them that he did last time.
(17:47):
I will say something about these veteran Yankee bats seeing
the same guy in the same week. Hey, let's be honest.
You guys can read through this. You know I'm a
Yankees fan. The Yankees have a good chance tonight, and
if they have a good chance tonight. That means there's
a chance and maybe I'm just talking myself through it,
and maybe there'll be a some follow up sad John
(18:10):
Boy media content tonight. But the Yanks could make this interesting,
and twenty four hours ago, I would not have told.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
You that I've got some butter drives on Austin Wells.
I believe the best more concentrated one is June sixth
through September ninth. That's June July August. That's four months
to eighty four batting average of three seventy three on base,
he slugged five seventeen. That's an eight to ninety ops
(18:40):
overall out of the catcher position. Twelve homers, yeah, with
nine doubles. But I believe you can go even further
back because his slow start wasn't as lengthy as.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
No, it was just so empty. It was just so
empty for three weeks.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Yeah, so from his fifteenth game of the season, so
literally three weeks into the year, or so April twenty
fourth on to September ninth, again as that end date,
because he seemed to have hit a wall in September
two seventy three batting average three fifty four on base
(19:17):
and eight thirty seven ops out of the catcher spot.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Out of the catcher spot, and I catcher hitting is
a little back, but I'd say more importantly, it was
out of the cleanup spot. It was a lefty bat
for the Yankees, and where he's currently positioned in their lineup. Hey,
I guess it would be hmm, they can't change the lineup.
I was gonna say, can you flip him in jazz?
(19:43):
But I think they're just gonna roll that back. Let
him be comfy, Hey, don't give up a two run
homer to Freddy Freeman in the first inning. That would
be helpful. And it's not anything yet. Nothing is anything yet.
Maybe that's what I should have started. Yet nothing is
anything yet. The Dodgers could win a ball game tonight
(20:07):
pretty easily, and not surprisingly. They could get four off
a coal, a solo shot and a three run homer,
and the Yankees' bats go quiet again in the first
couple of innings, and that's it. If the Yanks do
find a way to win a game and show Hey,
who's been having a tough World Series and is obviously
banged up. He's literally running the bases while holding his jersey.
(20:29):
I don't know. We haven't seen that one before.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
And I think, like Roberts straight up said, like in
his postgame last night, he will not be stealing right,
just like given the way he was running.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
I guessed that, Yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Kind of crazy to straight up say it.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
He kind of can't can't slide right. I guess we'll see.
You know, that's that's something that could world series. You
could look back out on wink. But yeah, it currently
doesn't feel like the bottom It feels like the bottoms
of the lineups flipped last night. Monsey had some tough
at bats, Keith Gay didn't do anything that Yeah, between
(21:13):
passing the baton to Freddy and the constant threat of
ta Oscar Bets and show Hey that the Dodgers were
kind of relentless. It felt like the top of their
lineup was coming up every other inning, where the Yankees
they only had their two innings with a chance. Last
night felt a little different. So let's see, we'll be
in the building for it. If they win tonight. Yankee
(21:37):
fans are gonna believe. I need to slow myself down
because I think they can win tonight. Let's have another
fun day of baseball. Last night's game was fun. It
was against the Dodgers C squad pitching and man, man
oh man, let's uh. I don't know. Dodger fans just
(21:58):
want this to end. And I get that. I would
if I was a Dodgers fan. That's what I would
be saying too. Let's see what happens today. Let's see
what happens today. Let's tee up the football weekend a
little bit because again, sad, nine innings of baseball later
and it could be football. It could be only football
(22:20):
for some people this weekend. No more London games, sad. God,
there could be a Friday night baseball game. Don't get
me started, get me started on that. It starts off Thursday. Hey,
Thursday night's going to be free of baseball. Either way.
It is Halloween. It's spooky noise. Speaking of spooky, the
(22:45):
New York Jets currently on a five game losing street
or am I selling that short? It's a five game
losing streak. If you remember, they went to and one.
They lost a ten nine game too, Nicks and the
Denver Broncos. You remember that one and then it has
spiraled for them. They lost a one score game to
(23:08):
the Vikings. They lost a three point game to the
Buffalo Bills. They got kind of whooped by the Steelers
after going up on them early, and then the New
England Patriots beat them. The Texans come into town. I
don't know, man, I think the Texans are a really
good team. Hey, use this. If you are a sports
(23:31):
gambling person. Let's say you're your Joe's Sports and you
don't gamble. That's okay, good for you. Houston at the Jets,
what would you think the spread on that game would be?
I'm Joe Sports. The The Houston Texans are six and two.
(23:52):
Their losses are at the Packers and at the Vikings,
two pretty good losses that are aging better and better
every week. The Vikings loss, they got whooped a little bit,
but they've Packers, was a two point loss. Like the
Texans are currently one of the premier teams in football,
(24:12):
You'd say, okay, well it's in MetLife. Maybe the Jets
are going to have some fight. Maybe it's Texans minus three,
Texans minus four. Jets are two point favorites, which, if
you're one of the people that believes that Vegas and
the books always know something more than this is exhibit
(24:36):
A they I would put a chunk of money on
the Jets and say Vegas always knows. I will not
be anywhere near this because what is this? The Jets
feel primed for disaster. It feels like they're currently in disaster.
They're living out a Jets season in front of our eyes.
(25:00):
So I don't know. I guess enjoy the rhythmic stylings
of old Aaron Rodgers and young CJ. Stroud Joe Mixon.
With that Houston office, they feel like, I want to say, unstoppable,
but they feel like they're clicking on all cylinders. They
did just lose Digs and Nico Collins with a hamstring thing,
so maybe there's something there that they don't believe in
(25:21):
Houston's offense as much. But I will watch that game
with no skin in the game and see what happens.
I'm and enjoy your Halloween. Why not? That brings us
to Sunday? No weird early games. Bummer Dallas at Atlanta.
Hey feels like you should see some scoring there. Falcons favorites.
(25:48):
I don't know both these teams. Although Atlanta as much
as they stung me with their bad Seahawks at home loss,
and sometimes that just happens in the NFL. They bounce
back with nice bucks win. They've got a pretty little
lane here, Cowboys who are going through their own stuff
right now. And then it's Saints Broncos that they might
(26:12):
be able to go on a little something here, and
it feels like their offense is clicking. The Kirk Cousins
Darnell Mooney connection is real. Pitts had a huge National
tight ends game. Yeah, I don't think there's a lot
of believers in them them boys right now, and I
think the Falcons believers are growing. But last time I
(26:34):
did this with the Falcons, they got rolled by Seattle.
Should be an entertaining should be a lot of action,
Like you feel like you're gonna look in one of
the quarterbacks is gonna have four hundred yards passing Miami
at Buffalo Buffalo. Let's see if two in Miami has
any fight to them. Dropping to two and five into
(26:56):
his first game back, three and four would have felt
a lot better, while buffer flow kind of continues to
roll on Man six and two three game win streak
out of them, Although is this a sleeper game or
two sleeper games? Dolphins Colts before that Chiefs game I've
been hyping up they're a touchdown favorite, Cincinnati and Las Vegas.
(27:19):
I'm kind of going away from Cincinnati for a little bit.
They're a touchdown favorite and they should beat Vegas. But
the scent with them has just been off. And maybe
this is the week it clicks, and maybe they're gonna
get on everyone's radar soon. They've got the Ravens the
week after that. I just don't know. Sometimes there's just
lost seasons, and this one has been feeling this way
(27:42):
for a lot of weird games. Since he's got to
win me back, I'm off the bandwagon for now. Cleveland
Famous Jamis they host the Chargers. This is must watch
Harbaugh and the Chargers versus Jamus after last week's miracle win.
Oh yeah, sign me up for that. Chargers one point favorite.
(28:06):
Tennessee and New England down in nash Vegas. No, politely, politely, no,
you don't need to watch that. New York The g Man.
They host Washington. If you remember, they basically beat Washington.
They didn't have a kicker. They should have won that
game by six points or so. Kicker got hurt on
(28:29):
the opening kickoff, which sneaky part of this Jaden Daniels run.
Let's see, this is a little potential hangover game for Washington.
They won on a Hail Mary. It was Caleb versus Jaden.
He's banged up, but he played in that game. I
don't know. Seems seems like a New York Giants moment
that this might be my my hot take game for them,
(28:51):
that they played really well in the first Washington game.
They just did everything but win Carol in New Orleans.
No oh no. In the final one PM game, my
Denver Broncos are heading two Baltimore to face the Orioles. Orioles. Ravens.
(29:14):
Orioles are done. Sorry, guys, to play the Ravens. Man.
If I get my against the spread pick this week,
I think I would pick Baltimore. Oh, it's nine and
a half points. That should tell you everything. Again, Vegas,
if you're a believer in that, my five and three
Broncos five and three Boo Nicks, They're going into Baltimore
(29:38):
as nine and a half point dogs. I will not
be taking that. It's a lot of points, but that's
how that's how people truly feel about Baltimore, and that's
how people truly feel about Denver. So in the one
pm slate, it's a little bit of sicko stuff. If
you're into James versus Harball, which I am. I mean
(29:58):
I have that as the highlight game. So maybe you know,
if there is a World Series game seven Saturday, maybe
you could sleep in a little on Sunday. Jake, wake up,
You're gonna be sad soon. At four pm, Philly host Jacksonville.
If I'm whatever stock I sold on Cincinnati, I think
(30:21):
I'm buying on Philly. Their past couple box scores has
looked like Philly box scores Man Jalen Hurts, only throwing
the ball twenty to twenty five times and accurately like
easy wins, pounding the ball on the ground with some
strong defense behind it. Seven and a half point favorites
(30:41):
against Jacksonville. Jacksonville has been playing a better brand of football.
Were they just in London for two weeks in their
Season's pretty much over the Doug Peterson ball No. Arizona
Chicago Arizona one point favorites. God, I I have loved
(31:02):
the product Arizona has been putting on the field the
past few weeks. They've won three of their last four.
Forty nine Ers, Chargers, Dolphins with Tua. I think that
deserves to be mentioned. Two late game drives from Kyler
when you need it Man, the Bears. I know I've
been a little bit of a Kleb hater, and they should.
(31:24):
They're a hail Mary away from being five and two themselves,
But yeah, I really like Arizona in that. Okay, green
Bay and Detroit. Here is your game of the weekend man,
green Bay in Lambeau, Jordan Love on any given week
can light it up with the best qbs in the game.
(31:46):
They are on a four game win streak. Jaggs, Texans, Cards,
Rams e E lost a close one to the Vikings
before that. Otherwise we would be talking about these Packers
in a very different light. Detroit has become the pseudo
super Bowl favorite with teams not that have Patrick Mahomes
(32:08):
on it well phrased Drake Detroit and green Bay at
three and a half point favorite. Boogey, boogey. I actually
don't like that for Detroit. A motivated green Bay team
that has been very impressive. Wow, surprised to see that one.
Seattle in LA not really Rams favorite. On the road,
(32:30):
Rams felt like they salvaged their season last week, a
chance for them to get to four and four while
Seattle's at four and four should be some good NFC
best action and then your nightcap Indye at Minnesota, Joe
Flacco gets the starting gig over Anthony Richardson only because
he got too tired to play quarterback, which you can't do.
(32:53):
You just gotta should have fibbed. Exhibit a of why
you should fib sometimes ibably still be the starting quarterback
this week. If he told a little white lie, I
had a little stinger on that play. Minnesota five point
favorites at home. That's ugly in Minnesota, I don't. Indianapolis
(33:15):
is my favorite, like weird team roster for a while.
For a couple of years there they were the like
everyone was kind of like, yo, the Colts are really good.
Imagine if Andrew Luck stayed like this roster stacked. I
kind of like every position they have except quarterback, Like
their wide receivers are weird ones. Pittman is one of
(33:37):
the best jump ball guys in the league. Outside of
that he's been banged up whatever Alec Pierce. He feels
like he has an extra limb on his arms. That
he's a great jump ball guy that you're gonna get
two great ones a game from him, I feel like.
And then Josh Downs people, Yeah, Josh Downs. People really
(33:58):
like him and he had a standout catch the other
day that like their wide receiver unit. If they were
with another quarterback, I think people would talk about them
as like, I don't think they're the best in the league,
but these guys are pretty good. And that's without getting
to a Doni Mitchell and Ashton Doolan, who I think
had a big punt return in the top pick out
of Texas for Mitchell with Jonathan Taylor as their running back, like,
(34:24):
I don't know if their quarterback situation was a little
more normal and that's why they're starting Joe Flacco. In
the year twenty twenty four. I think this Colts team
we would look at a little different. We don't. They're
four and four in Minnesota. It's a tough ask. Let's
see how they look with Flacco behind the wheel. And
(34:45):
there will be a Monday night football game that'll be
Tampa Bay at Kansas City. You guys know where. I'm
at Kansas City in the wind Street quaiting for Buffalo
so Hey. By the next time I see you. The
baseball season will be over. I will probably be sad
about it in which fashion I don't know, or I
(35:10):
might become like a vile version of myself. If they
somehow do this, it might be a Joe's McFly Awaken Jake,
and it might be NR seventeen. So we thank you
for that. Let me poke on one thing. Let me
see if there's any college football you need to watch
on Saturday day. Ohio State Penn State at noon, boom,
(35:34):
get in, whatever your morning stuff is, keep your night free.
Ohio State Penn State four at number three. Penn State's
been waiting for a game like this for a long time. Oh,
that's beautiful. And then you could watch Game seven that night.
All right, tell him about Uncle Dan Beachs Waking Jakes.
