(00:25):
could use a little TLC. That's what Mako does. Affordable
paint jobs like collision repairs. Get a free estimate today.
Uh oh, better get Maco. Play of the Day, poll
question stat of the Day. Good morning. If you're watching
on Peacock that's our streaming partner, or listening on our
great radio affiliates around the country, iHeartRadio and Fox Sports
Radio as well. We got a basketball game coming up
(00:48):
tonight thunder Pacers and OKAC is favored by six in
this game, trying to even the series. This is a
must win. OKAC is great to win this game coming
up tonight. Oka See was favored by four four and
a half in the previous game, of course, Indiana came
out and had a ton of energy. You have an
(01:12):
interesting situation going on with the Bengals with their rookie,
Schamar Stewart. He has now left camp. This is a
guy who has a ton of potential but really never
kind of gave you or produced that potential when he
was in college. But the Bengals made him the seventeenth
pick of the first round and he's complaining about the
language in his contract. Your salaries are slotted with the
(01:35):
NFL first pick, fifth pick, nineteenth pick, you know kind
of what you're going to make. And then it gets
into the language there, and that's the problem that he
and his agent don't like the language in there, which
kind of puts a roadblock into getting the second contract,
at least from what I'm told with this situation, hockey
(01:55):
last night was spectacular. It was of course Leon dreisidel
favorite and it sounded like this in overtime in Florida.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Brings back memories.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Now, I think it sounded like this bols Cross to
the overtime. The epic turners to the series two games
a piece. I've seen more aggressive shuffle board kind of
(02:30):
you know, pushing, uh. It wasn't a shot. It was
kind of a nudge, but it worked. It's almost like
they were surprised that it was just kind of trickling in.
But Leon Dreisle, he does this as well as anybody
in the history of the sport. When you look back
on the regular season, I did a little homework today.
So fourth overtime goal this postseason, that's the most in
(02:53):
NHL history. He also had six overtime goals game winning
goals during the regular season. That's also an NHL record.
So when the game is on the line, it's not
Connor McDavid I'm worried about. It's Leon Dreisidle. But in overtime,
it's three to zero. It's three nothing in the first period,
and I go, oh my god. Florida. Florida is so unbelievable.
(03:17):
And they're at home there they just dominated six to
one in the previous game, and I'm thinking, allright, let
me hang in here for a little bit. Then all
of a sudden, there's a goalie change Fred Minton a oh,
then there's a goal. Then there's a goal. See it's
the one at the end of the first period. I go,
oh my god, that's a crusher because you have to
(03:37):
go in and just think about that for twenty minutes
in between periods, and then all of a sudden they
came out. Then all of a sudden they take the lead,
and then all of a sudden, closing seconds what eighteen
seconds to go, Florida ties it up Sam Reinhart and
then we go into overtime. Now I'm thinking, all right,
I got to make a business decision. Can I wait?
(04:02):
Can I stay up? Can I watch overtime? I chose
to go to bed. Anybody with me last night choosing
to go to bed? Oh okay, everybody did because my
wife goes, wait a minute, who won I go, no,
there's overtime. Where are you going? I'm overtime toohn. I
(04:24):
got to go to bed, and then you I don't know.
It's like two in the morning, and I wake up.
I go, I'll be damn Leon Dreisidel. Hockey's delivered. Man.
If you think about this season, the Alex Ovechkin passing Gretzky,
You've had a lot of excitement in the postseason. Maybe
Canada is going to get the Cup back finally Florida, Florida,
(04:48):
the state has had that Stanley Cup for five years,
or at least they've been part of the Stanley Cup
final for five years. This is the sixth year, and
maybe they keep the cup there. But it's been fun.
It's been a lot of fun. And then you have
the game coming up tonight. The odds makers still favor
the Thunder to win in seven. That's your lowest bet
(05:10):
plus one seventy that they win in seven. Thunder to
win in six is the next best bet for the
plus two hundred, and then it goes to the Pacers
winning in six, Pacers winning in seven, Pacers winning in five.
Shay gild is still your favorite to win the MVP.
But the game tonight, Thunder favored by six and still
(05:32):
favored to win the title. And I would have thought
that that game that they just won would have changed
things a little bit, maybe a little bit more. Maybe
the Thunder aren't six six point favorites, Maybe it was
going to be two or three. But the fact that
there're still favorites in Indiana says a lot about what
Vegas thinks of Okay, seeing all right, Seaton poll question
(05:55):
for hour one on this meet Friday is going to be, well, we've.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Got a few here from the Fritzal oh, if you're
interested in all okay, Oh, by.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
The way, it came in. The gong came in. And
this came out because Fritzy brought up the Gong Show,
which was a show where if somebody was bad, they
would hit a gong. And I said to the big german,
can you get me a gong? He said sure, So
we went on the old Internet and we found a gong.
(06:27):
And when something bad happens, usually a Fritzy bad joke
or maybe a bad limerick, maybe a bad song, then
you're gonna hear the gong and it. Let me try
this for the first time.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
Oh, that's pobulous.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
What do you think.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
That's a bad thing?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
If you hear that, yes, that is you know that
sounds like.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
An emmy, Dan, that sounds like a yes, you might
as well bang that thing with an emmy.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
I'm just gonna bang on the gong all day, man.
You know what.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
When they added the Gongda Show, though, that's really where
I put them ahead of PTI.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah, let me see the other shows that are gonna
add a gong after Yeah, bang of gone. I'm still talking. Yeah,
I'm still tugging bang of gong. Get it on, se Rex.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
Yes, Uh, I just love that sound.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
I know it represents something negative, but I think it's
a cool addition for the program.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Get used to it.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
There're we a lot of that.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, you'll be the reason why we bang the gong. Okay,
Seaton pulled question from Fritzy. Uh yeah, hold on, Oh,
I didn't do the menu yet. We have done clams,
casino clams, casino fried arted chokes, and we have lazagnya
vodka sauce lazagna. And also Dylan said that he would
(07:57):
whip up a batch of pesto for me. That is
it better than we do nobody? Yes, yes, Marvin.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Oh, I just shake my head.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Nobody. Oh okay, you put your hand up when you
were shaking your I was raising a roof. Oh okay,
all right, Uh Seaton, what's poll question?
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Well, we might as well start with I think four
out of the five of us are guilty of this.
Turning off a Stanley Cup Final game heading into overtime
is forgivable. I got to get up early for work
or inexcusable under any circumstances.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
That's one of those where you go Damn. I'm glad
I stayed up if you're an Edmonton fan or just
a hockey fan, because overtime hockey is spectacular. By the way,
Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift did show up, and the
Internet did not treat them kindly because they're like, they
don't have an affiliation with either of these teams. We
(08:55):
don't have to show them fifty times within the first
fifteen minutes of the game. But don't blame Travis Kelcey
and Taylor Swift for going to the game, right. I
don't know. Didn't I say something about your sport that
they would like to go and be part of it
watch it. I don't know. I got I got my
(09:16):
Taylor Swift sweatshirt on today, you know. For the Swifties
out there, I'm just happy they're in love. It's still
going strong.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
Yes, I didn't have a problem with it, but I
can see the hockey purists. You have nothing to do with.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
The Panthers or the Oilers, and you gotta all of
a sudden be at the Stanley Cup Final and now
TV is going to show them a million times to
get an extra rating point or two.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
I can see if someone's all in on hockey.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
They're already sentsive about a lot of people that don't
appreciate their sport.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Now they got them showing up.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Wait when you have somebody who is showing up for
your sport?
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Yeah, but now they don't go do they go to
regular season games? It's this game four, the stage final.
Any celebrity can show up when Okay, who did spotlight?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
They did?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I don't run down the other celebrities who showed up.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
Good point. I'm sure there were a few.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Was Pitbull there or Gloria Estefan?
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Yes see, I don't really like gatekeeping your sport like that,
like you don't deserve to be in or you shouldn't
be in watching my sport.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't really like that. Well, it
doesn't matter. She could go to a Chiefs game and
her boyfriend is playing for the Chiefs, but all of
a sudden, it's the networks who do this. She doesn't say,
I'll go, but you must show me fifteen times. It
doesn't work that way. Blame the networks, don't blame her
and him. The fact that they went to the game
(10:35):
tells you, man, it's pretty exciting, and you don't like
Taylor Swift, so that's why you're about I love Taylor.
Speaker 6 (10:43):
Swift, I said by saying I had no problem with
them being there, I'm saying I can understand the hockey
peer is saying, you know, if they go to games,
you know, periodically, and now they're at the.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
But no one was there, run down. This isn't a
Knicks game or a Lakers game. Did you have a
problem with some of those people who went to the
next game who probably don't know during the regular season,
And the answer is no, you didn't.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
Except when Boogie with a hoodie shows up and they
make a big deal about him. I'm still missing that
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Shaboozy.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yes, Pauline, I actually don't think anyone was bothered by
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey being there and the cutaway
shots by the network. What it is is three people
post that on Twitter, and then a bunch of like
half assed media companies take that and post something so
they could get clicks off of Taylor Swift Travis Kelce story. Okay,
this is not a real thing and no one's really bothered.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, they kind of ride the wave of Taylor Swift
and Travis Kelcey. Right, but hey, I'm happy they're going
strong and if they get engaged before this show comes
to an end, for he has to take a wedding
cake in the face. Yes, tout the other thing.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
The one thing I do have a problem with that
It happens with the Chiefs too, when something good or
bad happens.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
You got to show both.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
When the Chiefs are doing well and they're high fiving
and they're giddy, they never really go to them when
something bad happens, and bad things have happened. In the
course of a game to the Chiefs last night, they
high one goal, two goals, three nothing. They were obviously
rooting for the Panthers, and then all of a sudden
when things started getting messy. I don't remember them going
up to the booth there with despondent faces. How it's
now three two three three, and what's happening? So just
(12:12):
be fair and show the excitement and also the disappointment.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Okay, that's all. I would have been fine if they
went up there and showed the disappointment.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
I only saw the three the high fives and the
excitem when the Panthers did well. Did not see any
sad reactions. You gotta show both be a journalist.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
There's no journalism anymore. There's a horse named journalism. That's it.
Fair Fair, Bob Lee's not walking through that door. You know,
there's no journalism. And blame the networks. They're the ones
that show you know, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey. Oh, okay,
(12:50):
what else do we have? Pull?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Question Wise, let's see if the Pacers go up three
to one tonight, this series is over.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I'm not gonna say oh it is Oh. I will
not say that. I will not say that. But I
do think it's a must win situation for Okay, see
can it be both? Yes, yes, must win ish well,
they have to win it. If they don't win it,
I still think they obviously have a chance because they're
still playing. It removes must It's a musty. Okay, it's
(13:21):
a musty game four in Indiana peeling musty in here
the musty musty. Also to the networks who keep promoting
the Indiana Fever and their next game. Caitlin Clark is
not playing, but when you see the promos for that,
Caitlin Clark's there for the Indiana Fever. She's not playing
(13:41):
she'd game against Atlanta. She wasn't playing, but they are
keep promoting the fact that Caitlyn Clark and the fever.
I guess technically she can be there in street clothes,
but she's not playing the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark
like she's not playing.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Yes, Paul, he should alter the promo. Tune in to
watch Kaitlyn Clark watch the Atlanta whatever.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Caitlyn Clark will watch the game with you.
Speaker 7 (14:08):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
Yes, they should let Kaitlyn know somehow when they're gonna
put the camera on us, she should act like she's
kind of hurt or injured or just kind of getting
through it. I'm here at the basketball game, but that's
why I can't play. I'm okay enough to kind of
sit here, but I am suffering through some injury stuff.
Just just can make a little face like, ah, I'm
just gonna battle through watching this final game, but I
can't actually play.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
That's what I think.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
They should put put a little thing in her ear
and say we're gonna go to you now, act like.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
You're a little uncomfortable. That's one man's opinion. You had
a gong right there.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
No, I'm not I was going to set you up
so you could fat like the like it's a pretty
good setup. You you understand that you're gonna do the delay.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
It's actually set you up and you let her down there.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
I know, because then I'm like, oh, you're picking on
him again.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
At But anyway, but you were on Gong Watch.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
You just introduced the gong.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
People definitely weren't thinking that when you just told the
story about how you ordered the gong.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
I ordered the gong for the show because there are
times when there's some bad takes or somebody screws up.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
Line was a terrible take. They should show Caitlin Clark
looking like she's uncomfortable and injured.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
That's why, wait, you do this. Nobody will use an
injury to you know his advantage, like remember the Planner
fashion hoes.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Oh still not completely away.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
And then you got hurt playing whiffleball. How long you're
still recovering? You haven't played another whiffle ball.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
I got the couple, I went to the doctor and
we were talking about Tommy John. Thankfully it didn't go
to that point, but there were X rays taking there's
some kind of ligament swelling.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
You are the softest.
Speaker 6 (15:46):
I tried the icy hot, I tried stretching exercise that
wasn't working. I thought like I was off to go
in to the knife from a whiffleball swing.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Okay, it's not a coincidence that you played wiffleball once
and you played really well, then you got hurt. Now
you're done. You played pickleball and you played really well
and then you got hurt. Yes, you are very I
can't get I can't string two games in a rownd
it's called soft soft. All right, we'll settle on a
pull question. We're ready to go on this Friday. Yes,
(16:12):
Marvin is.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Fritzy Moore physically fragile or emotionally fragile?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Oh, let's take a break.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
I think it's physically fragile and mostly disturbed.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Let's we'll take a break. Which would you rather be? Yeah,
we'll vote on this. We'll explore Fritzy more mentally fragile
or physically fragile. We'll take a break. We're back after
this Stan Patrick show.

seem to have the time to discuss. And the fact
that we've been friends for the last twenty years and

Speaker 2 (17:43):
That's Covino and Rich Gott to lay the groundwork for
my next movie with Sandler. Gonna have dinner with him,
so got to see what he's working on. We've already
wrapped Happy Gilmore Too. In fact, I got invited to
a screening coming up in July. But yeah, I gotta
find out what the Sandman's doing, just so I can
(18:04):
drop a little hint see what my next role is
going to be.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Yes, Paul, Happy Gilmore Too released July twenty twenty five.
July twenty fifth, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Mm, hmm, that's cool. And I don't know since it's Netflix,
I don't know if they're going to have one of
those premieres because there's a lot of stars that are
in this movie, so it'd be nice to rub shoulders,
as we like to say. But I got to check
with Sandman on that. But yeah, late July for Happy
Gilmore Too. Yes, Marv, are you getting a plus four? No,
(18:37):
it's a plus one plus one, so obviously I'm gonna
take Tyler, Yes, Paul as Netflix.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Does Netflix ever release one of their films in a
theater and then you can watch it on Netflix after
just give both experiences.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
I think there are movies that are I don't know
what the movie industry is doing yere. All I know
is that if they're shooting movies any place but Hollywood,
it feels like but I think they'll have a limited
run in a theater and then they'll put it on
Netflix or some of the other streaming partners. Sandler's contract
(19:15):
is with Netflix. He makes movies for Netflix.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, point, I don't know the finances behind it, but
it feels like movie theaters are back ish after COVID.
I've been to a few movies in the past year
and they were kind of full, and you can buy drinks,
and the seats are way better and the sound is
way better. I wonder if they're I wonder if the
numbers are up.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah, I don't know what. And you know, it's a
lot of kids movies that you can go to the theater,
Marvel movies. Feels like. I just worry that these smaller movies,
independent films like those are the ones that may get
kicked to the curb. Because we do love a sequel.
I mean, I'm in one with Sandler. You know, grown
(19:55):
ups too in a sequel, Hey, water Boy, are they
going to do a sequel for that. Maybe that's what
Derrick Henry would be in if they did a sequel
to that. And I have to say to Sandler, how
about we lower the yardage total for Derrick Henry to
fifteen hundred yards? What do you think about that suggestion?
(20:15):
Two thousand? That's a lot fifteen hundred And I'm you know,
I'm going to say to Sandler, we're going to get
more interest the closer that he gets to that. If
he's got one game to go and he's two hundred
and fifty or three hundred yards away from two thousand,
we lost a little bit of that that oomph. But
maybe we can ride this a little bit and have
(20:37):
fifteen hundred yards certainly seems achievable for Derrick Kenry. Yeah, Seden,
So you don't think two thousand yards is achievable for
Derick Henry. I do, but I would bet on the under.
Isn't that part of the fun though? But I wanted
to be realistic where you can do the math and
go this is still a probability, whereas fifteen hundred yards.
(20:59):
Once he gets to one thousand, now we start to
do the math. How many games he plays, does Sandler
go to that last game or next to last game
where he's going to get over fifteen hundred yards, and
then all of a sudden cut away to Sandler on
the sidelines, big embraced with Dereck. Henry tears he's going
to be in the next movie and he gets to
(21:21):
go to dinner with Sandler. So I got to talk
to Sandler about our strategy or marketing strategy here. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Man, I think two thousand is the number. It got
a lot of buzz. It's already kind of branded as
two thousand Sandler Henry dan Patrick's show. I think if
you alternate officially, that's bad news. He was seventy nine
yards away last year.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
I know you lower it.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
By twenty five percent. It's like, oh, now, why didn't
you just put him in the movie in the first place?
Who cares about the yards?
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Yeah? Stick with two K. Yeah, I think it's a
huge mistake. Why two k? Yeah? Because see what I
did that time was okay good.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
I think you guys should have dual No. I might
come in Monday with Todd's own little handheld one. He
can get you.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
By the way, if you're watching on Peacock, Fritzy has
his own pickleball paddle, and it's a picture of him
when he was the Goat, when he had his headband
that said goat on it. Although it doesn't look like you,
I suddenly lost a.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
Lot of weight and got angrier. According to that, is.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
That somebody other than you. It kind of looks like you,
but it looks like they've doctored the photo.
Speaker 6 (22:27):
Very bizarre. It's not, I don't want to say off putting.
It's just odd. It's strange.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I think it's like a slimmer, sleeker.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
You had a more pissed off version of me. I'm
usually you're kind of smiling.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Oh, you're very scary. When somebody's playing pickleball and they
see that, they're going to be like, whoa.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
But it's weird. It's it's me and a morph of
somebody else.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Yes, others. Yes, it doesn't look like it's It looks
like you a little bit. But yeah, you have your
own paddle and it says goat on it. All right?
Some phone calls here, Uh Tom in North Carolina, Good
morning Tom, what's on your mind today?
Speaker 9 (23:03):
Okay, DP, I got a question about the gong, but
I was just gonna mention to Paully and see and
real quick about those movies that subject you guys were
going over. Yesterday, I was wondering about the movie Brian
Song In the movie Rudy, you got young Ben Vaughn
the Young Gangs con opts pre Godfather, so I was
(23:28):
kind of and.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Billy d Williams. Billy d Williams was Gail Seris in
that movie. But yeah, Rudy, Rudy's a good call. Jay
and Delaware, Hi, Jay, what's on your mind?
Speaker 10 (23:39):
Very very good morning, guys. Todd just has a play
the morning. I don't know who has control of that gong,
but I feel like they should just started hitting and
they said it's odd started talking. Earlier in the week,
I found out you guys had a a TJ. McConnell
in your squad sixth Man of the Year. Dylan is
my new hero after what he did other day at
(24:01):
the Ripe Age at forty years old, I would have
had to call out after a week or call out
for a week after.
Speaker 11 (24:07):
Doing that day. He had a day and I wanted
to add to that.
Speaker 7 (24:11):
Here's the conversation.
Speaker 9 (24:12):
I don't think you.
Speaker 11 (24:13):
Guys mentioned Greece was grease mentioning because yeah, Josh Olter
wasn't very big or I feel like quite a bit
of stars in a couple of movies from mar Childwood
Lethal Weapon. That was when we first found out No
Gibson was actually crazy.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, yeah, but mel was still a movie star by then.
And in Greece, Olivia Newton John was huge have a
very very famous singer. Yes, Marvin was Greece after Saturday
Night Fever. I believe. So does that sound right? Double check?
I believe?
Speaker 3 (24:50):
So.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Let me see David in Ohio. Hi, David, what's on
your mind today?
Speaker 9 (25:00):
Hey Dan, Happy meet Friday.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Nobody.
Speaker 9 (25:03):
I know Florida Panther fans are a little about the
result last night, but I think they just need to
shake it off.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
And yeah, okay, all right, thank you, thank you, David.
If Florida wins last night, then Panther fans don't have
a problem with Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
Yes, hut, I say, saur nighte Fever late seventy seven
and then mid June seventy eight Greece, they were like
almost right on top of each other.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, so Greece came after Saturday Night Fever by about
six months thank you to But Olivia Newton John was
a big deal as a singer, not as an actress. Yeah,
we got a lot of reaction to that. We were
looking for movies that were very successful but didn't have
box office stars, sort of like what you have with
(25:47):
the NBA Finals. We were trying to do a comparison
or draw a parallel there, I think is what we
were trying to do. Andy and Rhode Island. Hi, Andy,
what's on your mind today? Good morning?
Speaker 12 (25:59):
Dan?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Dan?
Speaker 12 (26:01):
Last night I was just the opposite of you. I
was sitting around eleven o'clock and I was like, wait
a second, Dan. I turned it on and it was overtime,
and I was like, whoa hold on and to my
to my luck, dr title you know come comes up
on the sub scores and I was this lesting amazement.
Speaker 10 (26:20):
Dan.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
It was wow, and it's Leon Drye tidle. Of course,
we only bring him up usually in in June, mayor
mayor June. I forgot to answer the question that was
brought to our attention is physic uh, pretty physically or
mentally soft? Marvin, what would you say.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
Physically?
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Okay, Paul, clearly physically, I think it's mentally pretty.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Tough seating, physical or mental aton.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
Who uh decisions?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I think physically? Oh well, Todd, do you think you're
more physically or mentally soft?
Speaker 5 (27:09):
I'm gonna go physically.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
I got my share of emotional issues too, But to
pick one and put me on the spot physically.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Actually, yeah, you know it is true, TODDA is uh
the ability to come back in here day after day
for eighteen years of this treatment. It definitely speaks to
a strong mental constitution. There's no doubt or maybe clueless yeah, yeah,
or just you could be completely unaware of it.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
I'm pretty sure he's aware of how he's treating John
and Tampa. Hi, John, Hey, good morning Dan.
Speaker 7 (27:42):
I'm a first time caller from Tampa and I just
had a thought a few minutes ago that I think
most people would initially think is hysterical because the person
answering your phones laughed hysterically when I told him what I.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Was calling about.
Speaker 7 (27:59):
But if the Panthers win this Stanley Cup Playoffs of
twenty twenty five, the state of Florida will now be
the center of the hockey universe.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Well, I think it already is. They're defending champs and
they're back in the Stanley Cup Finals. Then you had
the Tampa Bay Lightning and their run. That's exactly.
Speaker 7 (28:27):
But I don't think one percent of people realize that
the Tampa Bay Lightning went three years one, two, and
then the next three years. The Panthers are one and
one and if they win, which they're favored to do,
they will have won two out of three. So the
state of Florida will be four of six having been
(28:49):
in all six finals having won four.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
And Okay, John, I've followed along with you, and you
you explained it well. I would say Florida. If you
want to say the state of Florida is the center
of the hockey universe, Yeah, I'm okay with that.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
Yes, Ton, hockey might be bigger in Florida other than Canada. Well,
like a little sarcastic another gong if you want to
be in love.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
No, No, I got to use it sparingly to start
out with. I mean, I'm tempted to, but I want
to be very judicious with this that it doesn't feel
like I'm I'm piling on Yes, Pom.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
It does feel though, like the state of Minnesota is
the home of hockey in America, the most people playing it,
the most access to it, and the importance of it.
I know their NHL team isn't winning titles, but does
feel like Minnesota is the home of hockey.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Yeah, especially high school. Yeah, like Minnesota to high school
hockey is like Indiana to high school basketball everything, or
maybe Pennsylvania, Florida or Texas or Ohio to high school
football or California.
Speaker 6 (29:54):
Yes, time isn't the Frozen Four always like Minnesota and
Boston and maybe a sprinkle into Colorado or something like
every year, right, Minnesota's in the Final Four.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
They just put them in there, regardless of what their
record is.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
The Frozen Four, The Frozen Four. Yeah, yeah, yes, I feel.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Like there's a strong upstate New York contingent for hockey.
It's not the whole state, but that there's sort of
a Buffalo Lake Placid hockey obsession for sure.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
How about when Union didn't Union win the Division One
championship a couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, the Frozen Four this year, penn State, Boston, U
Western Michigan. I think it was their first time.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah, Denver is usually in Denver's usually pretty good. I
think Denver's lacrosse as well. Colin in Iowa. Hi Colin,
what's on your mind? Hey?
Speaker 9 (30:41):
How's it going?
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Great?
Speaker 9 (30:42):
First off, I just shout out to my dad for
early Father's Day. Happy Father's Day.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Todd Morner. Okay, why are you rubbing it in our faces?
Do you know that my dad's dad, Pauli's dad's dad,
Fritzie's dad is dad, and Marvin's dad is dead to him?
Speaker 9 (31:00):
Yeah, I was a little hesitant, but I have to
do it. He introduced me to the shows, so fair enough.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Right, So a big shout out to your dad, Havy
Father's Day? Yeah? What else do you what else do
you have common?
Speaker 9 (31:12):
So you guys are talking about movie sequels and NBA finals.
I was wondering what NBA finals would you like a
sequel to or a rematch?
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Mmm mmm if it could happen a rematch? Aren't we
talking one game? Colin?
Speaker 9 (31:32):
Let's do a series?
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Okay? So this is all time? Yeah all right, Well,
if you can give me Celtics Lakers again, I'll sign
up for that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll sign up for that.
Any day of the week, you're you're in buildings, but
there are times when you're in a building and you go.
It's just different. And being in the Boston Garden back then,
(31:58):
and you know, I grew up going, man, that's the
Boston Garden, Celtics against the seventy six ers. It felt
like every Sunday afternoon. Oh look at the floor. The
way the lights were, they made it as if it
was a stage. It was like Broadway. There was a
play going on. And then all of a sudden I
get there. I get there early, three hours early. I'm
going to the garden. Tell my family I'm going to
(32:19):
the garden. And I get there and I go, wait
a minute, what happened to the garden? This this is
a dump. And then I go down on the floor
and I'm checking out the parque and like, oh man,
this is great birds out there shooting three hours before.
(32:41):
Get to look and then you see big gaps in
the parquet and you're going, dang. And then I went
into the locker room, and my high school locker room
was nicer than the visiting locker room. The low ceilings
probably lead paint on the wall. I don't think they had,
but that was probably on purpose by red Arbach. But
(33:03):
I just remember going, when a man, what happened here?
There's a lot of history there. Yeah, seton.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
You know what I would throw on that list to
of ones to run back. Twenty sixteen NBA Finals Cavs Warriors.
That was Lebron and Kyrie together before Kevin Durant went
to the Warriors. That was that's a hell of a
finals right there.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
I would do Nix Lakers in nineteen seventy that went
to a Game seven with Willis Reed, you know, coming
out and hitting a couple of buckets, because he would
be healthy this time around. Would it be different? And
Clyde Fraser had one of the great Game sevens in
NBA history, one of the great Game seven forgotten Game
(33:51):
seven performances in NBA history. It's hard to go thirty
six points and nineteen assists against Jerry West and the Lakers,
and it's an oh, by the way, and your MVP
is Willis Reid. Wait a minute, he scored four points. Well,
Willis Reid is your MVP? Yes, bawling.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
My pick would be for a rematch the ninety three
Bowls versus Sons and Day Finals. More so of the
Sun's angle of it. I thought the Suns had him.
I think that's the closest Jordan came to losing. And
can you imagine if Barkley had one head to head
against Jordan, how much different that relationship would be and
Barkley's history would be the one guy to take him down.
(34:32):
I really thought Barkley had that one.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Yeah, they were a good team, which they were good.
They had a lot of depth.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Evan Johnson, I mean, yeah, Richard Dumas, he was only
in the league for a few years, Danny Ainge, Tom Chambers,
deep bench.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah, if Tom Chambers won a title, he'd be in
the Hall of Fame probably, sure, great player and Barkley.
All I know is when I was at the Jim
Valvano golf tournament in Carrie, North Carolina, and we sat
at the table after we had played around of golf.
Barkley was there, Buckner was there, Digger Phelps was there,
(35:08):
Lou Holtz was there, Michael Jordan was there, and I
just remember people were kind of going back and forth,
and then Charles said some things about Michael and then
got a big laugh from the table, and then all
of a sudden, Mike went Mike on him, and that's
when he went scoreboard, and then that ended the party.
(35:30):
It wasn't any fun after that. It was Mike was
going to take a couple of blows here and then
all of a sudden, he was going in. He was
going for the jugular and it had to do with
Charles not winning a championship anyhow. That's where you go
have another beer, please, huh, take a break. Our play
of the day is up next.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan
Patrick Show weekdays at nine am Eastern six am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio WAP Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Breaking Free is try Suddle to the Death song Cleon,
try suddle this time?
Speaker 3 (36:20):
This series?
Speaker 2 (36:21):
What is fourth?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Twitter of the Playoffs Final Star Edit.
Speaker 7 (36:27):
Ten five, Florida four and.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Burgon. Wow, I'd give that voice a a breather. Oilers
Radio Network. That's your play of the day. You're down
three to zero, You're on the road against the defending champs.
No problem. It's been crazy in the postseason. If you
(36:55):
look at what Indiana did, Edmonton's doing. These comebacks seem
more and place now now in basketball, we have the
three point shot, So there's a you know, ebb and
flow of big swing momentum scoring. But in hockey, it's
still hockey. But to be down three to zero on
the road and you have to win this game because
(37:16):
then you're going down three games to one against Florida,
and Florida's gonna win the Cup. But they got a
new life. Play of the Day brought to you by
the hottest Rookies, bigger superstars, all time greats. The only

Panini America dot net. The comeback of all comebacks, considering
what was at stake is the Super Bowl with the
Patriots against the Falcons at twenty eight to three. Seaton
sent out a tweet at halftime of that Patriots win
against the Falcons and it said, what.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
I believe it was, And so begins the greatest come
back in NFL history.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Did you truly believe that? Of course? Of course you
knew that was gonna happen. Of course because you got
Tom Brady on your side.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
I know.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
They're like, you know, everybody in the house is like, God,
this game stucks. What are they doing whatever? You're like, no, no, no,
this is the comeback right here. This's gotta be the
best second half of football we ever watched. I went
to a party because we normally go to the Super
Bowl for our coverage during the weekend that I try
to come home so I can watch the game. I
get more out of it when I'm watching it on TV.
So my wife goes, uh, we got a party. I go, no,
(38:31):
the super Bowl. She goes, it's a super Bowl party.
I go, oh. I said, I'm gonna stay for the
first half, and so it's it. You know. Of course,
the Patriots are getting roughed up, and then I decide
to leave, and then all of a sudden, the comeback starts.
So everybody was blaming me for the first half of
the Patriots performance, and then they were crediting me leaving
(38:55):
for the second half performance. And so I you know,
whenever the big Patriot fans they're like, yeah, there's our
good luck charm. I said, yeah, when I leave the
party on your good luck charm. When I was there,
they're like, because they said who do you like? I go,
I like the Patriots. They're getting smoked. Oh, you know,
like I for some reason, I'm to blame that the
(39:15):
Patriots are being blown out twenty eight to three, and
then the comeback begins. Yeah, seed, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
The I remember that day being because my son was like,
he was like seven.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
I think he's young. He's crying, you know, and he's like,
I stay whatever.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
And I had to tell him at some point in
the first half, if you don't stop, I'm turning the
game off and you're not watching. Nobody's watching the game anymore.
You got chill out, all right. And they sat like
startupat and then slowly they came ticking back inch by inch.
If you don't stop, we're turning the game off.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Steah. All of a sudden, you have a moment where
you're like, oh my god, I'm such a dad. How
did I have it come this dad? You know? Uh yeah, Pauly.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
They replay that game on NFL network all the time.
You can see that Super Bowl and when you're watching
that third quarter, you're like, this doesn't make sense. This
team can't come back. The odds are so against it.
I think I got the box score right here. Atlanta's
up twenty eight to nine. Late in the third, they've
got second and one and they get called for holding,
then an incomplete pass. Then remember Matt Ryan takes that
(40:14):
sack or they get a field goal. If they don't
take the sack, they probably get a field goal. And
now it's thirty one to nine going into the fourth.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Yeah, they had numerous opportunities to put the Patriots. What yes? Uh?
Zach and Knoxville. Hi, Zach, welcome.
Speaker 9 (40:32):
Back, ADP. Thanks for sake of my call. You said
earlier that you didn't want to pile up on Fritzy
with the gong. I just want to let you know
that that ship sailed about twenty years ago.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Oh but I didn't have the gong back then.
Speaker 9 (40:48):
Zach, wid you pile up on them?
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah absolutely. But he asked for it
and he wants it. Man, That is todd. Do you
ask for it and do you want it?
Speaker 5 (41:02):
I don't think I asked for it. I deserve it.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
That's definitely a diffricate.
Speaker 4 (41:07):
All right, there's a whole study of abusive relationships taking
place right now.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
But who is But who has given you more than
anything else in your career.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
Nobody that would be that would be you. You've from
the things we'd be.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Somebody that'd be would be you.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
I said that, Yeah, just just the things we've experienced
in the places we've gone and people have met, not alone,
forget about even what we do here every day.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Yeah, yeah, is it even? Is it balanced down of Well, I've.
Speaker 6 (41:37):
Had my share of therapy and medication and stuff like that,
so I don't know what kind of.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Balances that idea. Did you ever think that I had
therapy because of you?
Speaker 6 (41:45):
That didn't cross my mind. They're a lot more strong
minded than me. I didn't think that you would need
anything like that.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
I am mentally weak.
Speaker 5 (41:51):
That's not true.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
One hour in the books on this Speek Friday, two
more to go, Fritzy Mars Pauline, yours truly
