Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The Crown
is yours. Happy Thursday. NFL Week eleven is here. I'm
Brandon Kravitz, joined by my two faves, the Prime Minister
of Degenerate Nations, Stucky and the Queen of the Pod,
Miss Kendra Middleton. On today's episode, we're gonna submit our
official plays of the week. We've got our stat of

(00:30):
the day, two Kings and a Queen Parlay. National Pickle
Day is tomorrow, so of course we've got Kendra's pickle
prop action under distraction. We've got fun, fun on top
of fun, and hopefully some winning picks along the way.
The Thursday Night Football line continues to tilt the way
of the New England Patriots. We said on Tuesday it

(00:51):
was Pat's minus eleven and a half or pass, so
if you wanted New England, hopefully you got in on
that early. Let's kick things off with Evan Abrams Shrimp.
Unbelievable stat of the week, straight from the primer. Both teams,
in terms of the Seahawks and the Rams seven and
two entering this game in Week eleven, both teams covering

(01:11):
at a rate of seventy seven percent as well. First
time since nineteen ninety that we've had two teams with
a cover rate that high play against each other. After
Week ten, Sean mcvayh eleven and two ats against Seattle
in their last thirteen matchups. But this Seattle team feels different.
They are so good Seahawks now with three point dog though,

(01:34):
So it looks like money's coming in on the Rams. Stucky.
How did we get here with this number? This feels
like such an even matchup. The Rams don't have this
historically great home field advantage, and yet the number continues
to tilt in their direction.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, just a lot, just sharper. Money came in on
the Rams. That's pretty much what's gonna move the line
other than injury news. During the week of the NFL
S I I would at over three. I would look
at Seattle. I'm just really looking forward to this game.
There's not been many like just amazing games the NFL

(02:12):
this season. There's just so many bad teams. This week,
we have a couple of games where you're like, all right,
I need to tune in for this, and I think
that they'll live up to the hype. I could I
could make a case that the You know, I talked
about this last week that the Rams defense might be
a little overrated statistically. I mean over the last month
and a half. Right, they should have given up thirty

(02:34):
to the Colts at home, They had the drop at
the one, they had the tailor touchdown called back. They
are carved up by Matt Jones twice. And then if
you look at their other games, you know, they played
Cooper Rush when they played the Ravens, they played Tyler
Schuck in the Saints, so they've benefited from some of
their opponents. I think that that secondary is attackable. We'll

(02:54):
see if Sam Darnold can have more success against the
Rams than he did last year in Minnesota. A completely
different offense, but that's how his season ended last year,
and we also saw him struggle during the regular season.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
But I.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Could also make the case that Seattle's defense is a
bit underrated because they played a good chunk of the
season with a lot of secondary injuries, and they've had
some guys step up. They've gotten a bit healthier on
the back end. It's a ferocious defensive line. They can
get pressure without blitzing. Coach by Mike McDonald, I mean

(03:33):
just the x's and o's matchup between McVeigh and McDonald.
I'm really looking forward to there. But yeah, I don't
have these teams too far. Apart as far as power
ratings are concerned, the Rams offense is a machine right now,
so I could only look at Seattle. But as of

(03:55):
right now, I haven't gotten to the window yet.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I bet Seattle early because I thought the same thing
last week when we were having the argument about the
Packers and the Eagles. I thought, no way that number
touches three on Philadelphia. I thought the same thing going
into this one, and it looks like it might end
up closing it three and a half. So I'm sitting
on a pretty bad number here at two and a
half on Seattle. But I still like Seattle in this game,

(04:20):
just looking at it opinion wise, but not ahead of
it in terms of the market. Read Kendra, this is
easily the game of the week for me. Are you
an agreement there?

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah? I think it has to be.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
I also lean Seahawks in this game haven't gotten to
the window I did here. This morning, I was listening
to a podcast that there's expected to be a massive
Seattle crowd show up for this I mean, the Seahawks
fans travel well in general, the team is good, LA
doesn't really have a ton of their own fans. I
think that there could be a heavy Seahawks crowd here,

(04:52):
so I think that that's something to pay attention to
as well. These are my two favorite teams in the
entire NFL together, so I think that there's no way anyone.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
But me could say that this is my game of
the week.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
The public percentages heavily on the side of the dog.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
No surprise.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
When you have two teams that are this good and
you've got one that's catching points, obviously people are going
to gravitate towards that side. Seventy four percent of the
bets seventy nine percent of the money on Seattle right now,
But the number continues to tilt the way of the Rams.
So if you're just looking at this sharp analysis, wise
it looks like the Rams are the smarter side, but

(05:32):
as we know in the NFL, doesn't necessarily mean that
they're going to win and cover all Right, stuck, you
what do you got? Let's dive into the weird, random,
bizarre world of the thoughts that live inside of your brain.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Hey, this is a dumb question. Let me ask you
a personal question kind.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Of question is that is question?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I saw we we minted the last penny and at
the two hundred and thirty years production is ended. Some
people collect coins, So my question for you is what
do you collect anything? And if so, what I know
that Kendra probably will answer random animals or shrimp. But Kendra,

(06:15):
I'll start with you. Do you collect Do you have
any weird collections?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Coins? Actually? Uh so, yeah, yeah, I like to what
I don't get.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
Change very often, but every coin has like like obviously
like a marking to differentiate when it was made in
that type of thing and the year on it. So
when you look at a coin, there's like a D
marking or a C marking or whatever, and that can
also mean.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
It's more valuable.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
So I just like to like look at coins when
I get them and see what they're currently worth, if
they're super old or like a manu like they had
like a manufacturing issue or something like that that makes
them more valuable. And then I also have I guess
animals would be one. And then I collect trinkets from
like a little like a country I go to.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
I get like a little really weird random like animal trinket.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
I had a Funko Pop collection going for a while,
but I had to cut that off. He was getting
a little expensive. And now I just have a drawer
in my garage. I can't get rid of them. There's
just a ton of Funko pops. And we were talking
about everything from like Ninja Turtles, pro wrestling, entertainment, characters
from the Office and things like that.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
But the one for me that you don't know what.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
It's like a bobble head that does. You can't pull
up a picture for him.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
You've got to see this.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
You definitely know what they are.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Tiny bodies, big head, little figure you put on the
shelf in my house.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I would grab one right now, but I'm I'm at
the office doing the show. They do have.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I have Evan Andrew Luck Funko Pop. I've got an
Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
You see these?

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Yeah, I think I've seen them.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Okay, But every state that I go to I get
a magnet. It has to be purchased. My rule is
that it has to be purchased inside of the state.
I can't buy it online after the fact, just because
I find a better one, and it has to be
something that is identifiable to the state itself. It can't
just be one of those from like a Flying J
gas station. It's got to be something super unique to

(08:17):
that state. So you like in Kentucky, I've got one
that's a it's a horse stuff like that your neck
of the woods Stucky.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Guess.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I collect bourbon for our basement bar. But my favorite
thing to collect is books, like I have. I actually just.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Got How did I never notice until right now that
you have a million books behind it?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
You're a fucking library.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I have a thousand and fifty I think I.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Have you read all of those?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Yeah? Not right now, but in the spring, as soon
as college basketball is over. In summer, I try to
read like thirty forty books in the offseason. I am
not I think all, but maybe ten or nonfiction. So yeah,
I have. I think I have like eight full book

(09:11):
shelves and bookcases in my house all filled up. I
cannot read on my phone. I cannot read it.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
On a tablet, I can't nothing electronics.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Having the actual yeah, the sacond book. I love collecting.
I love showing people. I love giving people books when
they come over and I'm like and they're like, what
do you like to read? And I'll just lend it
to them and then never get it back.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
But what's your favorite category of book? Is it history?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
History, non fiction, sports, anything nonfiction, anything about like any
random topic. Like these books right here we have. This
is a Vietnam marine memoir, River of Doubt. This is
UH about Roosevelt's trip down the Amazon Destiny disrupted. This

(10:00):
is history of the world through Islamic guy. Some people
need killing. It's about the Philippines and them killing uh
like just na naming everyone, saying, calling everyone a drug
dealer and killing everyone with their.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
This is so endearing, you guys, so cute.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
We need an entire episode on this in the off season.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
This is killing.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Giant steps is cool. This is the guy who went
from walked all around the world and like just about
all stops.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
This is the same energy as when some reporter asked
Bill Belichick if he liked Christmas and he like smiled
and he was like he liked Christmas music and he
just smiled and he's like, I love all the songs.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
They're my favorite.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Like this is like how I feel watching Stucky with
his books right now.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
This is got King Leopold, Colonial Africa. Same with this
another Colonial Africa, American Revolutions. Carthage must be Destroyed. I've
heard that's really good one on the history of slavery.
Another anti communist book. So yeah, that's that's what I

(11:05):
collect and I have. So anyone's like, oh, I like
I like this topic, I'm like, oh, I got a
book about that. So that's my favorite thing to collect.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
It's literally built Belichick right now.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
It's not losing losing betting tickets that collect this.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
That was, of course all we all do. You know,
That's that's how we got here.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
But of those great stuff, time for action or distraction,
this is distracted static.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I'm not stacking.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
I want it on the action.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Brian Day ball fired.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
The Giants have an interim head coach, Mike Kafka be
stepping up Jameis Winston at quarterback, just like Kendra was
asking for.

Speaker 6 (11:43):
I'm on fans of No Dad. I'm gonna do my best,
you know, off Sally. I'm gonna have fun, but I'm
going to execute, uh, have a surgical execution. Uh and
just and just play ball, man, Like this is something
I've been doing since I've been four years old and
I just get to do it in the greatest city
in the world. I'm gonna be saying with my son,
it's the greatest city in the world. Yeah, that's a

(12:04):
Hamlets in reference, if y'ah. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
And the line has been bet down from Packers to
minus they're minus eight at the beginning of the week.
Their minus six and a half right now, Kendra, action
or distraction on betting the g Men.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
I think it's a distraction. I can't this game feels.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
I think the Packers might actually be okay in the
stratch of it, but this current, like right now version
of the Packers kind of hot garbage, Booty Cheeks bad,
not in a good way. Booty Cheeks, they're not good.
And the Giants they're frisky and they're fun. And I
think they like each other, which is so lame and
stupid to say, but I think they like each other.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
They play for each other every week.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
I also am still not completely out on the idea
of backing a team after their coach gets fired.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
I can't. I want to be there, but both of
these teams, just neither side of it really intrigues me
enough yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Uh hard to fall in love with the Giants in
their current state. Are you are you gonna throw any
money to this is? This is the kind of dog
that usually bet stuck here. Are you in on the Giants?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
No, I'm not quite there. There are there are I
do know of some sharp groups and people that did
bet the Giants, especially at over a touchdown. I mean
the Packers are beat up on offense, and the Avengers,
I mean, like the Craft injury, the Jenkins injury, They're
not healthy a wide receiver. Their offense right now is

(13:32):
just trying to find an identity and it's not and
it's not an overly reliable unit right now that you
want to be laying a touchdown plus with on the road.
With that said, I you know, even if they just
go hand it off the Jacobs too much, which they
can do at times, that should work. The Giants have

(13:54):
the worst run defense in the league. But I just
don't know what I'm I'm going to get from Jamis Winston.
He is he is super high variants. It's better than
Russell Wilson. We were saying, you gotta start Jamis here,
and like he's going to make some explosive throws. He's

(14:15):
going to try to make things happen with his arm,
but he also could throw three pick sixes. He's also
going to give the ball on the other team, and
this Packers defense is playing at a high level. Plus
you have to like change your entire offense. So maybe
that can work in their favor, because that's one of
the things that happens with the new coach. Right that

(14:35):
first game. You have new wrinkles, you showcase new things
that the other team doesn't have on film. But this
has to be a complete one eight. Like Dark's legs
were essentially an enormous part of the offense since he
took over, that's not really going to be a thing

(14:56):
with Jamis. So I'm curious to see what the offense
looks like this So I can't get there. I didn't
lay with the job, I didn't lay with the Packers,
but I can't quite get there on the Giants. There's
just too much uncertainty with what this offense looks like
and the fact that Green Bay should just be able
to run the ball, and there's probably gonna be some
Jamis turnovers that might end up being the difference in

(15:20):
the game.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Evan I know you wrote about this and the primer
Jordan Love as a favorite north of a field goal
has not been profitable.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
What's the exact number on that?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
And Jamis is a dog of overfield goal. I think
it's been like really good.

Speaker 7 (15:36):
Yeah, I mean just looking at it right now, six
points or more. He's two and seven against the spread.
But that's like career, You've had some decent losses in
that spot. But even if you look, Packers zero to
five against the spread this season in favored by four
points or more, which honestly doesn't happen a lot because
once you start losing once or twice, is that big

(15:56):
of a favorite, you tend not to get that respect again.
So twenty twenty one Ravens which stuck. You might remember
Ohn five ats is four plus point favorites to ten
weeks as well, but just kind of id that you
have that type of respect.

Speaker 8 (16:10):
And again this week.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
On the road, so also kind of the spot with
the Giants, but I agree with stucky Jamis gives them
a better chance to win and lose the game, so
it should be fun.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
A nice little nugget from Nick Giffin's luck rankings. Philadelphia's
offense has generated just nineteen and a half points per
game in four games against top ten defenses by DVOA
just eighteen points by expected score action or distractions. Stucky
on Philly team total under twenty four and a half
as a smart play this week.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I don't mind it that. I mean just that the
Eagles offense is they are who they are at this
point and they come out of the buy and it's
more of the same. The offensive line they're not fully healthy.
They've taken a step back from last year, so Barkley
can't really going and there's just no creativity with the

(17:04):
offensive play calling. I don't think it's going to ultimately
work out with Patola, and I think it's eventually going
to cost them in the playoffs. There's no motion, there's
no play action. I mean there's it's just all shotgun
and I mean, look at there's they're not there's no
screen game. There's nothing to like really challenge opposing defenses.

(17:26):
Who when you watch them like you watch the Packers
lose this. If the Packers knew every play that was coming,
and I mean throughout that entire game, they basically had
two good plays on offense. They had to dump off
the Barkley in a long pass to Devonte Smith. There's
there's just not much to like about this offense right now.

(17:47):
So yeah, I mean the Eagles are just until further notice,
they're an under team, and and they think every week
it's almost every week unless they're playing like the Giants
who can't stop the run. It seems like almost every
week there's like a quarter or two or like almost
an entire half where they just don't score. So it's
hard to score more than twenty four points in the

(18:09):
NFL when you don't score for an entire half every
other week. And would I would imagine that the Eagles.
And the other thing is that if they're up on Detroit,
when they get up on anybody, they're a team that
can just go on these long clock bleeding drives, you know,

(18:32):
and just eat up eight to ten minutes in the
second half when they get a lead. So I don't
mind that. Look, there's there's still major problems with this
Philadelphia offense for sure.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Kendrillya to AJ Brown saying that you can go ahead
and drop me in fantasy. I don't know that I'm
willing to go that far, But what do you make
of that.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
And I actually almost sent someone I know an offer
for him, just as a joke in my personal fantasy
football league, just to see if they would actually believe
him and give him to me for cheap.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
But I just a offer, I know something, did you
try and trade a kicker something.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
I was just gonna offer him something stupid like facial touton.
But I didn't wind up doing it because I didn't
think that the person who had him kind of would
get the joke.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
They don't follow sports as closely as the rest of.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Us in the league, so I didn't think that it
would be as funny. But yeah, that's I think that
that's maybe he will actually catch touchdown this week. Maybe
it's smok a mirror's maybe that's his way of being like,
don't drop me, actually bet on me. That would be
how I would look at it, because I'm insane. But yeah,
I kind of agree with everything Stuckie said. I just
this team on offense goes at maybe you know what,

(19:42):
maybe it's the Madden curse.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
That's where we're at.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
It is not just cursing the player this year, it's
cursing their entire offense. That's where I'm at that's my
final answer. Is the end done.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
One of the bets that I made this week was
a sprinkle on a tray McBride anytime touchdown Marvin Harrison
Junior is out.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
We love the tight.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
End touchdown props, Kendra action or distraction on that?

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Are you in or out on my McBride prop action?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
You guys know that I love the tight end props.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
I'm actually gonna maybe give one out in a minute
here with my pickle prop.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
But I love, love, love a tight end.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
I was actually looking at this earlier this morning because
of the Marvin Harrison Junior situation and the price just
was not where I wanted it to be. But I'm
totally behind this. He's the only other answer that they have.
This offense looks a lot better, looked a lot better
last week in comparison to weeks prior. You could argue
that I guess, but I am all in on the

(20:38):
train McBride. You guys know I love a tight end.
I love a kicker, and I love a left tackle.
So you can get into the window on pretty much
Eddie tight end prop if you present it to me.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Interesting question coming in from production here has anyone on
the show had their appendix removed.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
I have not.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
I don't have a gall bladder, stucky.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Have you had any organs removed?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Ah? Not that I know, So I don't know. Maybe
during a bad vendor someone took something, but not that
I know of. No, but that does say it sounds painful.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
It does.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
I like the McBride look. Also, on the Action Eric podcast,
we talked about Raybon and I like Dortch as well.
He's going to get increased. Looks like the Cardinals are
decimated at wide receiver still even at plus three, I
would I could only look their way, just because the
forty nine Ers defense right now is it's a sieve.

(21:35):
It can't It's not gonna stop anyone. I don't care who, who,
what type of offense you're playing. But we'll see how
healthy Arizona's defense is. That's important too. Oh and by
the way, I should mention that McBride has scored five
touchdowns in four games with Versette and five touchdowns in
thirty nine games with Murray. That's insane. The same amount

(21:58):
of touchdowns in thirty five fewer games with Persett, who
clearly looks his way and he's clearly going to get
a increased target share this week, especially in the red zone.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
I would imagine what about Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
I am growing concerned with him because he missed all
this time. I know it's just a Wednesday practice and
a lot of stars sit that one out, but he
didn't practice.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
It was undisclosed reasons.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
There's a chance for bad weather thirty five mile per
hour wind gusts off of Lake Erie in Cleveland. Are
you buying brownstock? I think stuck here. I think I
saw you put them in the app if I'm not mistaken.
Are you on the Browns this week?

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I am?

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Is that one you're going to tee up to us
for the parlay? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
I mean I could see it up now and just
mention it later. I mean, essentially, the Browns at home
I almost bet as a dog. I almost bet, and
I bet him as a favorite. I've bet them at
home every game this year. They only played three home games.
They haven't been at home in a month, which is
pretty crazy. They went overseas, then they went to Pittsburgh,

(23:06):
and then they crushed Miami. But they've only had three
home games, and by the way, they went three and
oo against spreading those games over. This is a crazy stat.
I don't know. I haven't read Evans primer yet this week.
But the Browns this their defense. I talk about this

(23:27):
all the time. Their defense at home is historically good
and it's been one of the best units in the
NFL offense or defense over the past three seasons. They
just play up and it doesn't matter who they play.
I mean, this year they should have beat Burrow. They
held the Bengals offense to seventeen. They beat love In,
the Packers, they held them to ten, they beat the Dolphins,

(23:49):
held them the three and over the past three seasons
at home, the Browns are thirteen and eight against the
spread sixty two percent on the road five and seventeen
twenty two point seven percent. It's the worst in the league.
It's worse than the Titans, who never cover five and
seventeen against the spread. On the road, They've been a

(24:11):
They've been a touchdown plus underdog at home three times
over the past three years. They not only cover them all,
they won them all out right.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
They beat the.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Packers are this year, they beat the Ravens last year,
and they beat the forty nine ers last year. So
this this is gonna be a super low scoring game.
It's gonna be weather wins, and that's not great for
Lamar's hamstring. Did I just think he didn't practice could
precautionate reasons, but he didn't. He didn't have the same
He took a lot of the hams knee.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
It was, but it matters. I just think it was
a little bit about injury.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Yeah, He's just he just doesn't have the same burst
right now, the same explosiveness that I was expecting after
the extended rest following the Miami game. So and his
legs are such a huge part of everything that he
can do. And if the weather here is going to
neutralize some of the downfield passing attack, and you know
that the Browns can stop the run. I mean, Derek

(25:06):
Henry couldn't even get a yard in the first matchup,
and they'll get after the quarterback. And without Lamar's capability,
and with the weather impacting the downfield passing attack, that's
a huge advantage for the Browns who don't have a
downfield passing attack. Everything they want to do is run,
which you can do on this Ravens team. You know
they're without with their defensive line injuries, you can run
on them, short passes and throws to the tight end,

(25:28):
which again some of the things that the Ravens struggle with.
So I think this is a decent matchup for the Browns.
You'll get their best effort, and just in a game
where with a total that you know there might not
be thirty one total points in this game, taking over
a touchdown with the home dog is always going to
be intriguing. So yeah, I think the conditions and a
lot of the matchup things favor the raid favor of

(25:51):
the Browns here. So I took the Browns at home
or you know their defense is going to come to play.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Some of that home field advantage stuff, I think that
that's mitigated by the fact that this is a division games.
When I think about the Browns, the home field advantage
they've had over the last couple of years, a lot
of these upset wins and great performances they've had, off
the top of my head, have been against teams like
the Packers, like the forty nine ers. Does that lessen

(26:20):
the home field advantage because it's Baltimore, because they're used
to that environment.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Now, I mean a couple of the upsets they've have
been over the Ravens at home. I've been to a
couple of those games. I mean last last year they
beat the Ravens is ten point dogs, I believe. And
part of the reason is not only is their defense.
I can't explain why their defense plays so well at home.
It's got to be but to get conditions to help.

(26:45):
And the Browns offense is not an explosive offense. It
hasn't been for years. It's not a good offense, especially
this year. So in that stadium when you get the
heavy wins and just miserable weather and then the field
all of that slow. Usually when they're when they're a
big underdog, well that means the other team usually has
a good offense that's going to help stunt the opposing

(27:10):
offense and boost their defense. So that's probably part of it.
And that's certainly the case with the Ravens. The Ravens
have a very explosive offense, and you know, with the
dealing with the hamstring and the cold win rain, like,
I'm sure Lamar is going to be extra cautious here
against that defense, so you're not going to get his
full I don't think you think he's at one hundred percent,
But I don't think you're going to get even him

(27:32):
trying to. You probably get him throwing it away. More
Ravens maybe being a little bit more conservative, knowing they
don't have to put up a huge number here to
beat the Browns. So but now I think I think
it still has the same effect on the Ravens due
to the conditions. Now the familiarity, like in general home
field advantage in divisional games is less, Like when I

(27:54):
sign home field, it'll be less for divisional games because
you have familiarity with just a small home field, and
advantage in the NFL's diminishing each and every year. But
just having familiarity with like going to that stadium, knowing
the nuances of the kicking, especially in Shanahan, didn't know,
like the forty nine ers didn't know this last year

(28:16):
some of the kicking nuances in Cleveland and it cost them.
There's like the Phil Dawson flag and you can look
to see what the wins are doing in the corner
of the stadium, So some of those things, and just
like we've been to this stadium before, we know that
home field's always gonna be a little less for divisional games,
but I still think it has a major impact on
this particular matchup.

Speaker 3 (28:37):

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Tomorrow is National Pickle Day, So no better time than
right now to ask you what is your week eleven
pickle prop?

Speaker 3 (29:24):
What prop? As he in a pickle?

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Okay, we're in a pickle.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Now, I'm really in a pickle?

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Now?

Speaker 3 (29:31):
All right? Look we're gonna pickle again.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Hot Friarmouth plus two forty. The Bengals are the worst
team in the NFL against the tight end this year.
But he hasn't been finding the end zone the way
that I personally expected him to and probably a lot
of other people.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
But he had two.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Touchdowns in this matchup prior in this season.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
I am curious that they're gonna find a way to.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Shut him down because obviously it could be a John
Newsmith game. He gave them a hard time last time
these two teams played each other.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
The other thing I will.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Note, though I was doing some research about this earlier,
Aaron Rodgers is throwing way more touchdowns than it feels
like he's a top ten quarterback as far as passing
touchdowns go, probably even top seven I think I want
to say he was six or seven on that list.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
So he's throwing more than we think he would do.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
We take the cheese. He's currently plus two forty. I
already put it in the app. Do I feel great
about it?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
No?

Speaker 5 (30:25):
But I did it because I'm not a coward and
I really want to be behind my Massachusetts king, pav Fryarmuth.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
This week, well, I think that that's the thing. You're
not going to make this bet and feel good about
it because Pat Fryarmouth can be an absolute non factor
any given week. He's got three catches, forget about touchdowns.
He's got three catches in his last three games, but
he roasts the Bengals routinely. Not only the game that
you're talking about from a couple of weeks ago that
was on primetime. We all remember there was a touchdown

(30:52):
fest and tight ends were scoring left and right, but
he scored both times he played against them last year.
So there's just something something about those that gets some
going stucky.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, I don't mind him. My only fear would be like,
any way that Pittsburgh chooses to attack Cincinnati is going
to work. So like it's just like, is he in
the game plan?

Speaker 3 (31:13):
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
They rotate three guys, that's the unpredictable part. If it
was just Pat Fryermuth, well you probably wouldn't be getting
a plus two forty on it, But then it would
I would just feel so much better about it. But
if he's just not part of the game plan, then
we're just gonna get screwed in that direction.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Yeah, No, but I don't mind. I mean Cincinnati's line,
they have the worst linebacker room in the NFL. They
have the worst defense. They cannot cover tight ends, as
you mentioned, they really struggle in that department. And you
could get some wind. This is where at the time
of the year, where do you have to worry about
the weather. That would impact the downfield passing attack much
more and the Bengals much more. And the Steelers love

(31:53):
throwing at their tight ends Aaron Rodgers quick short passes.
That's not going to have an impact on the tight
end product and it could actually increase it for the Steelers.
So yeah, like regardless, I think the tight end room
for the Steelers. The Steelers utilize their tight tight ends

(32:13):
as much as anyone, although the Rams. When you're watching
that Rams seayoffs game, the Rams have used like thirteen
personnel forty percent of the time over the past month.
They're going with like multiple tight ends. They're going heavy
and throwing. That's like the new trend in the NFL
if you can throw out of heavy packages, and the

(32:34):
Rams are doing it as well as anyone, and the
Steelers do a good job of doing that as well.
You're going to see a lot of many two and
three tight end packages. And then regardless of the weather
of the wind, that's not going to impact Rogers getting
rid of the ball quick to those tight ends. So
I don't mind it.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Look two tight end touchdown props on today's episode, Kendra,
this must rank top three for you all time on
the favorites.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Hikels and tight ends. We're really getting after it for
me today. I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
You guys.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
I have pickle nails for tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
And people don't understand the uh we got a you
guys reference on the podcast just now. That is a
regular occurrence prior to us going live. Is the the
you guys shout out something random on the back end
from Kendra Middleton, always a classic. It's time for the
reason that you came here today. Our two Kings and
a queen parlay. We'll each nominate at least two plays.

(33:27):
We'll see if we can find some general consensus. We'll
slam them together and hopefully well cash in like we
did two weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Kendra, get us started all.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Right, So this number has moved to four, but do
we want the chiefs to cover the now four? It
was three and a half when I put it in
here earlier, or do we want Jacoby Meyers anytime plus
two fifty because I I think that they're really trying
to get Jacobe Myers into the offense. I know that
Stucky has a potential nomination from this game as well.

(34:07):
But last week threw a touchdown to him. It was
recalled for a penalty, which makes sense. Jacksonville Jaguars penalizes
to hell most us undisciplined team that I've ever seen
in my life. So I think that they're going to
try and get him involved early and often. They have
no choice now that Travis Hunter is out for the
season as well, but to get him acclimated and get
him acclimated quickly. But I do people there's so much

(34:28):
money on the Chiefs as I was looking into it
this morning, But Chiefs after a by Patrick Mahomes, after
a buy and you read after a bye, all of
those statistics that people love, probably a little square of
super square on my part, but that's okay.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
These are my two options for the week.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
I like the Chiefs. I like the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Why don't we throw in because we're gonna have two
other ones, why don't we throw in just money on
like I go a little too high, but I really do.
I can't see the Chiefs losing this game after the
bye week. That Broncos aren't even fully healthy.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
They're bad and they're bad. BIS looks bad.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Bonus looks bad. But uh, I could see this being
just like a Chiefs peep go win. But I think
the Chiefs are going to get it done. It's a partlay.
I do you okay? Throwing Chiefs money line down?

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Chiefs money line?

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (35:13):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Probably? To back that up?

Speaker 1 (35:15):
This is from Evans Primer this week, Andy Reid, Patrick
Mahomes off the by thirty four and ten straight up
or that's on extended prep but still thirty four and ten.
Mahomes and Reid against the AFC West eighty six.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Percent of the time they win.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
So a lot of these and we've seen the Broncos
have trailed in seven straight games. This team is due
for a loss, so I've got no problem with it.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
I think the win is the way to look.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
And then minus two five is not a bad price.
That's better than I thought it would.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Be, all right, So that one is in stucky.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Wow, you guys, that was too easy. I didn't like that.
Now I'm on comfy.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
The Chiefs. It's cozy.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
I My first one is gonna be Cleveland. I already
talked about that game. My second one is going to
be the Jags. This is a Jags podcast. They're back
at home. When's the last time they played at home?
Over a month?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Here's the thing, it's kind of a Chargers podcast too.
It's the low key Chargers podcast, yet we brand ourselves
Jags podcasts.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
And now that you get.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
These two, it was a month ago. It was before
the London game. That was their last home game for Yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
It's the team they went one in three over the
past four But I mean they collapse urus the Texans,
one of the best defense, but they played that we
just talked about. They played the Seahawks and the Rams.
So I think getting back at home where they've been
good this year, getting back at home, catching three against
the Charters team that cannot block anybody, and the Jags
can get pressure. The Charters don't have an offensive line,

(36:47):
which means they're not going to travel well and play
well on the road. And you look at what they've
done on the road this year since they've had offensive
line Injers. I mean they lost to the Giants, they
barely beat the Dolphins by two, and then they beat
the Titans. That's not a very are encouraging road data set.
My only concern with the Jags, and also the jack
should be able to run the ball.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Here, you're missing the biggest part of all of this.
Justin Herbert cannot play. Listen, I'm gonna say this now.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
The Chargers are gonna beat the shit out of the Jags,
But Justin Herbert cannot play in Jacksonville. That comeback game
in the playoffs, that was in Jacksonville. He grabs his
pants against this team consistently. However, this team is so dead,
so done for the locker room after the Travis Hunter
news absolutely disgusting. Liam Cohen is absolutely disgusted by this.

(37:36):
This team's falling apart. They need you, Cobey.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
I can't do it. I can't get there.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Well, we sell a Jags plus three. It is on you.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Once you sell all of your stock on a team,
that's probably the time to buy in plus.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
But the only thing I'm worried about I will say,
I mean, I think Breton strangely back. I've been talking
about paying his loss for a while again, and he
returned to practice yesterday. I think he's gonna play. He's
big in the red zoneses next week, tom bet. I mean,
I think anyone who can play will play this week.
This game is an enormous swing in postseason odds. Like
if the Jags win, I think they go to like

(38:09):
sixty percent to make it. If they lose, their down
to like twenty percent. Same with the Chargers. If they win,
they go up to like ninety. If they lose, they're
basically a coin flip. So Brian Thomas Junior returned to practice.
You have Jacoby Myers. If you can get strange back,
you can run on this Chargers defense. And that's basically
when the jat if the Jags can run the ball.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
But they choose not to because they're idiots.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yeah, I mean, I don't think Owen's an idiot. He's
and they went against I mean the Rams, Seahawks, Texans.
You can't really run on those teams. You can run
on the charters. My only concern is that everyone is
always on the injury report yesterday. I'll see what it
looks like today. But they're like basically their entire offensive line,
Jordan Lewis Parker Washington is playing really well. There's a

(38:51):
lot of limited guys.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Why any time too, So that those.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Are my two options, Jags plus three at home plus
I'm I just make the line one and a half
one one and a half. So I think it's too high.
So Jags plus three at DraftKings or what are at DraftKings?
What are the Browns seven and a half?

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Seven and a half?

Speaker 1 (39:12):
I'm half yeah, we're gonna need Evan to break the tie.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
I like both.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
I just really don't want to fade this Ravens team
right now. They're just they're just rolling downhill with their
momentum starting one in five. They have to treat every
week like it's a playoff game. This is not a
sleepy spot, even though Cleveland is a really tough place
to play right now. But I like the Jags bed
a little bit more. Evan break the tie for us.

Speaker 7 (39:37):
This is a house of content, and we have the
ability to take the Jaguars plus three at home.

Speaker 8 (39:41):
I don't know how we don't pass that up.

Speaker 7 (39:44):
Jaguars, because no matter what happens, this is the best
thing for the show. I can't believe we recou even
though Stuck he sold the entire thing and it probably
does cash.

Speaker 8 (39:55):
It's Jaguars, ladies and gentlemen enjoy Well, yeah, I hate.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
You guys literally every week.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
There's so many knives in my back at this point.
You guys will never pull out. It's unblavle. You just
keep twisting them further in.

Speaker 7 (40:08):
Front thee though, so Jack enjoy the rest.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Well, technically Stuck he handed the knife, but uh, you
know that is fair.

Speaker 5 (40:17):
Can actually record my reaction if this goes down to
the wire, I'm literally gonna have to like put my
phone up in my house and just run.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
I'm literally, oh my god.

Speaker 5 (40:25):
When Cam Little hit that seventy yarder in the preseason,
I was running around my kitchen island and I ate
shit in a pair of socks.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
So I hope that we get one of those again.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
If we hit this parlay.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
I needed all caps, you guys from the Kindred Middleton.

Speaker 8 (40:39):
Twin Chargers by one or two. That's probably what you and.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
The Chargers are gonna beat the crap out of them.
And I'm so for real.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Little versus great kick kicking matchup.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
Little dicker, you love it.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
I mean, that was just what a lay up that
was right there.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Panther's plus three and a half against the Atlanta Falcons
or the.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Eagles money line.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
So since we're talking juicy money lines, the Eagles they have.
I was going through every team that's five and four better,
seeing if I could rank their top three wins of
the year.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
The Eagles blow out the competition.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
As far as if you were just saying resume builder,
like if we were treating this as if it were
college football, Chiefs, Packers, Rams, no team touches that list
of three as far as wins. Adding Detroit to that
resume nah Chef's kiss Siriani two to zero against Dan Campbell,
averaging forty one points per game against them. And another

(41:37):
great stat from the primer, a good week after the
bye week team five and oho straight up four and
one against the spread coming off of the game that's
off the buy so Philadelphia money line. The number continues
to tilt in that direction. If we talk about stacked
injury reports, go look at the Lions. And then the
other one is the Panthers Falcons coming back from overseas

(41:59):
no bye week. The Panthers already showed the match up
well with this team. They blasted them thirty to zero
earlier in the year. Carolina lost to the Saints last week.
They are not to be trusted as a favorite. They
are to be trusted as a dog. I like the
sad Cats, Kendra, which do you like better?

Speaker 4 (42:15):
Habits? I fucking hate both of these same. I hate these.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
I love the Falcons this week and I love the Lions.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
What are we doing? I don't stuck eat, I can't.

Speaker 5 (42:28):
You're gonna have you and Evan, this is in God's
hands because it can't be in mind talk amongst yourselves.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
I have to play.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
And I think the Eagles win. I think their defense
will be the difference, like you're getting the they're I
think their defense is going to continue trending up. And
the Lions offensive line might still be an issue.

Speaker 8 (42:46):
And we can't stand either of these.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
I know, I don't. I get the spot like after
an overtime game coming over back overseas. It's not great
without a bye week, and Atlanta is not a great
They don't have a great home field advantage and this
is an a visual game, but they were embarrassed the
last time on their home field against the Dolphins. They
were embarrassed by this team earlier this season, so I

(43:12):
think they're gonna get the Falcon's best effort. And the
Falcons at home with Penix, they're a different team. But
I mean, the Panthers could run the ball, and that's
the Falcon's biggest weakness right now, especially with that Diablo.
They can't stop the run.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
I'm gonna say the Eagles money line is my choice,
just because somehow they find ways to win.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
But I fucking hate both of these.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
I'll say the Panthers, Oh my god, Evan, just so
Evan can break the tie, because I don't really have
a strong.

Speaker 8 (43:39):
Yeah, it's Panthers. I'll go three and a half.

Speaker 7 (43:40):
But I got I hate it if you could pick
a spot where you're going off a team who won
thirty nothing and then you've got San Francisco on Monday
Night football on deck, like it's just a I know
it's a division, I know it's a big deal, just
a shitty spot.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
I don't want everyone.

Speaker 8 (43:54):
I'll take Carolina though.

Speaker 4 (43:56):
No, I'm so serious.

Speaker 5 (43:58):
If my leg of this hits and the two of
you lose, I will be so insufferable for so long,
worse than usual.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
I will be so beyond worse than usual. You guys,
I'm you better.

Speaker 5 (44:11):
You better cross your fingers and tell pray to Evan
Abrams because he's our Jesus Christ.

Speaker 4 (44:16):
It's I'm no Jack and I'm.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Getting ship on in the chat over here, Eagles money
line worst suggestion of the year. I have easily had
worse suggestions than taking the Eagles in primetime to win
a football game.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Jags plus three Panthers plus three and a half cheaps
money on plus four twenty at DraftKings.

Speaker 8 (44:35):
One King and two sad Cats. It's gonna be a
good weekend.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
That right there, Bad cat parlay. Holy crap, do we.

Speaker 5 (44:42):
Switch to Jacobe Myers just so it can truly be
the sad Cat Parlay?

Speaker 3 (44:47):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Exsion.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
That right there are two Kings and a queen parlay

On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
