Speaker 1 (00:01):
Sunday Week nine is wrapping up. Welcome to the Favorites,
presented by Draft Kings. I am your host, Brandon Kravitz,
joined by my fellow djons, at least one of them.
Kendrick Middleton is here with me. Do we have Stucky?
(00:22):
By the way, Stucky is here also the Prime Minister.
Of course, we hit our parlay. We all have to
come on and chat with you about it. We've got
our goats and woltes queued up. Our biggest takeaways from
the Sunday Slate. Danny Dimes turning back into a pumpkin
right after Halloween.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
And they ship off.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Try to tell you, yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
That you did uh?
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Perhaps a quick goat for me is just our society
at large does nothing faster than transitioning from Halloween to Christmas.
It happens within hours. You can't find a pumpkin anywhere,
perhaps other than Danny Dimes on a day.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Bolts fan, you're gonna have to deal with the pumpkins
the rest of the season. That's going to be Halloween
until they get bounced in the first round.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
They are very much this year's Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
I think we all figured it would happen eventually, maybe
not this week against the Steelers defense that hadn't been
able to stop a nosebleed. We do have a Monday
Night Football SGP that we're going to deliver on this
episode as well. We got you covered right up until
the Sunday night football game starts between the Seahawks and
the Commanders. But first Ay recap on a very successful
(01:34):
day for the favorites.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
The two Kings and a queen parlay the fortune. You.
I mean, we all kind of forecasted that it was.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
We felt so disgusting ending the Thursday episode that that
is like, this has to go well for us because
nobody feels good about it. Forty nine ers money line
cash is barely a sweat there. The Panthers don't just cover,
they win the game, but the cover itself was a
no sweat bet throughout the course of the afternoon, and
then the Falcons eat out a cover. We go three
(02:04):
for three, So how about that? Hope he tailed us
out there. Guys, We've now hit two of these, so
I think I haven't masked it out yet, but I
think we're profitable.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Way in the way in the green. I think up
a cup to two and a half three units on these. Uh. Yeah,
I'll get my goat out of the way. It's Drake London.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Three touchdowns including the fourth down snag, unbelievable catch, secondary
goat Parker Romo shout out missing that extra point ceialing
the cover. Patriots didn't never do anything after that. Uh.
I thought Drake may didn't have a great game. He
kind of kept the Falcons in it. He had the
fumble at the end of the first half that led
to seven, the pick that led to another touchdown. Uh.
(02:48):
But the Patriots escaped with a win. Crazy that if
the playoffs the playoffs halfway through the season, the AFC
is is is done. We only have NFC the rest
rest of the way in two primetime games. The season
ended today, the AFC playoffs would be one seed Pumpkin Dimes,
(03:08):
two seed the complete fraudulent Broncos, the three seed the Patriots,
four seed Stealers, five seed Bills, six seed Chargers, seven
seed Jags, Chiefs and Ravens, who probably favored over the
entire field, are not in the playoffs as of right now.
The Jags, as a result of that Bill's win and
(03:31):
the two point conversion miss the Jags will be in
the playoffs because they beat the Chiefs, so they have
had to head over Kansas City. So yeah, what a game.
That Jacksonville game was nine to six going into the fourth.
There's forty something points from that point on.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I just know that your goat.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Not only is the great Trevor Lawrence never in doubt
in this one, and they'll also Cam Little field goal
kick of a lifetime. We figured it would happen this season.
We kind of thought that maybe it would get we'd
get a seventy yarder. We'll see if Brandon Amy might
end up breaking this by Monday night, but for now,
Cam Little holds the record longest field goal in NFL
(04:13):
history with sixty eight.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
I have so many things to say. First of all,
I have an announcement. Everyone be quiet. I'm done defending
Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
I'm done. He kind of saw win. He kind of sucks.
I have to say that game, Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
That one interception that he threw, I don't think. I
just it's it's getting too hard to defend him anymore.
Like the drops are obviously an issue, but if the
drops of it, I'm starting to fall more in line
with the drops have been an issue for what four
season four of his five four and a half seasons now,
they've been an issue.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Maybe it's not just the receivers.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
He just he either has to be down thirty points
and have to come back, and every single throw of
his has to be perfect and is perfect if he's
behind three scores, four scores.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
Other than that, he just is so just frustrating.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Holds onto the ball, makes dumb decisions, makes bad reads,
make slow reads. I just I'm done with that. My wote, however,
is not Trevor Lawrence. It's Trayvon Walker, because what the
hell was that punch? Did you guys see that?
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah? That was weak.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
My son, who just turned six two days ago, goes,
why did he do that?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Thank you, thank you. He's good for two of those
a season.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
I swear to god, it's just one of these dumb,
boneheaded what the hell are you thinking? Stupid typical Georgia football.
Fucking I can't. I hate it. I hate it. My goat, however,
Colston Loveland has to be I would have lost my
Bears better if it wasn't for that touchdown.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
I needed a touchdown.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I had come to piece with I had grieved that
loss already in real time and somehow some way got
the cover. What a day. Somehow the Jags win. They
the entire injury The injury report next week is gonna
be insane because the fact that Dianmi Brown went to
the low room.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Hunterlong is definitely hurt.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Just everybody up and down the roster, shout out Parker Washington,
shout out Cam Little, everybody else blows whatever.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, I'll spin a positive for the Jags. Look, they're
five and three. Yeah, a lot of injuries today worth
noting secondary two. But they pulled it out. Red winds
are never easy, and they were. I mean they threw
it to Parker Washington's targeted at eleven times today. They
pulled out to win. Now they get the Texans next week.
They're five and three. They get the Texans next week with.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
With Davis Mills probably yeah, with.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Probably Davis Mills. And you got to remember to end
the season, they have one of the easiest schedules in
the NFL. They have the Titans twice over the past
over the final four weeks, they do they do it Okay,
today they do the Colts twice.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
The Titans are trash. They'll do this to it.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
You know, they're terrible, but they two.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Non offensive touchdowns and it's still lost by seven. And
then they have the Jets too. So this is the
team with the schedule that they they're certainly going to
be live for a wild card spot right up until
the final week.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
Just the planet. It's hard to feel that way, by.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
The way, If if you think Davis Mills is not
a good quarterback, if you think cj if you want
to buy in on this now looking ahead to next week,
the Jags are plus one and a half on the spread,
plus one oh two on the money line. If you
think it's Davis Mills, that might be worth an investment.
(07:47):
That's the problem. The Texans defense is really good. So
I'm not saying that this is going to be the
easiest win of your life. But I would be happy
to bet against a favored Davis Mills if that's the
investment that you want to make right now.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
But it definitely but it definitely works out scheduling wise.
If Stroud is out for for the Jags, it was
devastating loss for the texts they should have been up.
I mean, if straud Is don't get hurt. They win
that game with ease, but they should have been up
when he was in there by fourteen. They could just
sneak the ball where they had five trips inside the
twenty with fifteen points or something. And obviously the Stroud
(08:27):
injury was massive, But yeah, that was a devastating loss
for the textan season and the Jags pull it out,
and all the people people, all the teams that people
wanted the crown this week, the Chiefs. Everyone was saying,
the Chiefs that crowned them. The Lions, they all went down.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Those are right, those are right? Two l's on the day.
I will say, I guess the Colts.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
The Colts people were talking about the Colts is a
top three team.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Come on, what you should be doing is crowning the
favorites because we bounced back pretty strong this week. Guys,
five and two on the if you're following the favorites
on the Action Network app up three units.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
On the day.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
We will bury ourselves and losses, but I do think
that we need.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
I'm having a great season. I don't know about you, guys.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Well, I've been a little up and down, but this
is definitely the best, the best day of the nine
weeks of the NFL season. So I'm gonna go to
us right here. My vote is the Bengals defense. What
a trash bag that is. Back to back weeks they
have totally screwed. Amazing performances from their offense. Joe Flacco
(09:38):
has been incredible for this team. Thirty eight points they've
scored thirty eight and forty two, and back to back
weeks they're zero to two in the last two. This defense,
I just cannot imagine the feeling in the locker room
of guys like T Higgins, Jamar Chase, Flacco himself.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Whoever, what a day.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
For t Higgins too. Oh, he just went out there
and put everything on the line. It wasn't even in
Jamar Chase to do it.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
And then a comeback too.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
You know, It's like they were We're talking about the
last two minutes of this game. I had already tracked
this bet that I had the I had the Bengals
up to eight and a half and the teaser I
had already tracked plus eight and a half as a
loss before the game even wrapped.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
I was just like, Okay, this one's over.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Go to go ahead, get ahead of things for today,
and then they come back, and then they come okay,
so I have to delete that. Then they come back
and actually get the lead, and then they end up losing.
Every time I stopped to recap this game, whether it
was in an Excel spreadsheet or on the notes for
this podcast, the result flipped.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
There's an absolute.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Meltdown, which is why I was ready to take the
l I had literally come to terms with it.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Seven lead changes in the game. The Bengals came in
leading the league in miss tackles and yard of jefta
miss tackles. They led this week once again. I think
the Bears had a hundred and eighty yards after miss tackles.
Bengals first team in NFL history to allow twenty seven
plus points in three hundred and fifty plus total yards
in eighth straight games within a season over the last
(11:10):
three years. The rest of the NFL is eighty six,
six and two when scoring at least thirty eight points.
The Bengals are one and four. They're the only team
of the losing record. They're one in four.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Unreal.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Let's go biggest takeaways from the one o'clock slate and
then we'll do our biggest takeaway from the four o'clock window.
You mentioned Stucky that this was the day of every
mid season crowned champion to fall. We need to mention
the Green Bay Packers here, and this I think was
my biggest takeaway from the one o'clock games was how
(11:44):
uneven this team looks. How inconsistent Jordan Love continues to be.
The Packers didn't score an offensive touchdown until the fourth quarter.
Bryce Young should not walk into your building throw for
one hundred and two yards and you lose the game.
We have severely overrated this football team. I wasn't as
high on them as you were, but I was still
high on them, and they had the Panthers Today, they're
(12:08):
even worse than more overrated than I gave them credit
for going into today. So I'm gonna go Packers, add
them to the overrated list just like everybody else.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
There's a lot of parody in the league. I still
love the Packers. It was I mean what they had
four hundredards offense in three thirteen points. There are special
teams they got to figure out. It's a problem. Tucker
Craft injury that could.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Be out for the year. Yeah, acl I don't even
see that huge. He's the best receiver.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah that is.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
And I don't believe. I don't believe in Jordan Love.
I don't. You can't make me.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
That's a that's a big loss for the Packers, I
will say, yeah, early slate. Other takeaways that I had,
I mean the one the couple that I had written
down were the Lions. Some of the issues that we
(13:08):
talked about coming into the year. By the way, JJ
McCarthy played really well. He finished two touchdowns, but like
that's really good for what we saw over the year.
Was on the road in Detroit coming off of a bye,
and he made that foraw at the end of the game.
But some of the issues that we talked about potentially
harming the Lions because look, I mean, now the Lions
(13:31):
are are five and three, They're the same record as
the Bears. We talked about the interior of the offensive line,
and this was a Detroit team that was eight no.
I think GoF was eight no against the spread against
the Vikings. He had under Ben Johnson, he had owned
Flores and now without Ben Johnson and that interior offensive
(13:52):
line which is nowhere close to as strong as it
has been Floras and the Vikings defense completely took advantage.
They were getting gobs of pressure up the middle. And
that's how you beat golf, you just you pressure them
up the middle. I think they had five or six sacks,
ten or eleven tackles for loss. So that that kind
(14:15):
of vulnerability of this Lions and it showed. We saw
the Lions for years under Ben Johnson with one of
the best interier offensive lines dominate the Vikings. Well today
it was the Vikings defense that dominated that game with
pressure and negative.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I thought McCarthy played well also.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
And then when you look at to back up that
point the Lions, when you now you start to look
at those wins, you go, okay, what what were the
issues defensively that some of the teams they went up
against have? And pressure is an issue for pretty much
all of these teams other than.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
The Packers get to lead pressure and they did remember
that game. They they the Lions offensive line looked lost.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
In that game. I was able.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
I feel like you could just like throw that one
out the week one, what the fuck just happened?
Speaker 3 (15:02):
But I mean, but it's still a matchup thing like
it was that defensive line dress the offense line because then.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
You overcame the matchup with the Browns. So yeah, they
had that in their back.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
But that Brown's defense on the road is not what
they are at home. But they played the Bengals. The
Bengals can't get any pressure. They played the Ravens incapable
of getting pressure, especially with their injuries. The Bears can't
get any pressure. So that that's gonna be the thing
with this Lion's team is that if you can generate
inside pressure, it's it's gonna be a problem because they don't.
(15:34):
They just don't have the same caliber of inter your
offensive line as they did in the past. And as
we thought coming into the season, the the NFC North
is going to be a war from start to finish.
Packer's still in first, the Bears and Lions are in
second place, the game behind the Vikings are now right there.
(15:55):
That's going to be a close race throughout the season.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Kendrow, what about you biggest take from the early window?
Speaker 4 (16:02):
My biggest takeaway from the early window is that Drake
may is actually probably the best quarterback out of that class.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
I'm glad, you know we didn't rush.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
To the window on that one, but they're gettable. I
think that the Patriots are absolutely gettable. Their team just
does not have the depth that I think that they
need to for people to be overrating them as much
as they are. They deserve their flowers six in a row.
The team is out kick their coverage. Vrabel looks great,
Josh McDaniel's systems working really well for may Stefan Diggs
has been better than people thought they would. Travon Henderson
(16:32):
had a really good day when he was allowed to.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
I just that team is still gettible.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Yeah, I don't. It's hard for me to see that
the It's hard for me to see the Patriots winning
the Super Bowl. Now, if some of these elite AFC
AFC teams don't get in, maybe they can get there.
But and I don't think even like realistic Patriots fans
thought that this was going to be the Super Bowl year.
This is like, all right, we're a head of schedule
and Drake May looks like one of the best quarterbacks
(17:00):
in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
So I don't think you understand what people in New
England are like the expectation every single year is a
championship or they are failures.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Yeah, I mean, that's most a lot of I'm talking
about like the realistic fans, because this team is still flawed.
The defense still isn't great, and they still can't run
the ball consistently because the offensive line is still a
work in progress. They still can't protect May consistently, and
that's that's one of the biggest things that I think
says speaks to a health good I think May is
(17:30):
going to be because he doesn't have a ton of
help or he doesn't have the best receiver corps in
the NFL. He doesn't have. It's a bottom five rushing
attack this year, and his pass protection isn't great. So
like what he can improve his like pressure to sack
ratio a bit. I think he has the second highest
in the league, but you take that with what he's
(17:52):
doing downfield with some of his d passes. But this
team still has flaws. But I mean it c NFL
this year, so to most teams.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
I came away more I think more impressed with the
Patriots this week that they were able to win just
because they haven't really had to win these gritty kind
of games. They've been blowing teams out and to see
them at the end, but they didn't.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Even really win the game. He missed the kick.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
They had zero fourth quarter points, they had three second
half points.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
That's not really a gritty win. The other team losing it.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Well, they still won, but they beat the Bills by three,
the Saints by five. Who else? The Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Keno's gonna go on sports talk radio in the Boston
area and go, you know, guys, I know it counts
as a win in the standings, but that was an.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
L Well, no, the Falcon, Like that's the thing is,
like the Falcons were on such a war path. Had
he not missed that kick, the Patriots would have lost
this game in overtime because the Falcons had all the momentum.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Drake London was just on unguardable.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
He was awesome today in that game.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
We only had three four o'clock games, so we can
be very brief with this. But my biggest takeaway is
the I mean, they beat the Raiders. But yeah, we
want to talk about a win that's not a real win.
I'm gonna say nominate. Maybe that should be a weekly
segment on Sunday. Is a win that shouldn't count as
a win. That would be the Jags beating the Raiders
and the deepest depths of overtime. But for me, it's
(19:23):
if the Bills can generate the kind of pressure they
got on Patrick Mahomes for the rest of the season,
I'll watch out. I think that's a team that could
zoom to the top. They're already close to it, but
zoom to the top of the power ratings and be
a team that we start to take very seriously again.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
As the super Bowl favorite. If they continue to do that.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
I mean, the Bills have been able to generate pressure
all year. I think more so than that. Although Hoyt
it looked like he heard his achilles, he was. He
was suspended the first part of the season. He was
a great chess piece. He saw that today, So his
loss be big. But the biggest problem for the Bills
for long stretches, large stretches of this season and what
(20:04):
has cost them in every playoff loss since Allen has
gotten there. It's not been Josh Allen. Josh Allen has
been incredible in the playoffs. It's not been the offense.
It's been the defense. Go back to any not part
of that as who they're playing, but their defense has
consistently let them down and a lot of that is
the secondary, and that's coming into the season. The secondary
(20:27):
was the biggest question. Harston, the rookie who they drafted
from out of Kentucky to help fix that, he was hurt,
debuted last week. He looked good and his speed, you know,
going up against Worthy, he had an interception. Bishop also,
safety has been a major major question for the Bills.
(20:49):
Bishop had an incredible game. Thought it was his best
game by far as a pro. If he can play
like that consistently and Harston, you know, kind of can
litify the other corner spot on the outside, then all
of a sudden, that secondary you match it with the
pressure that they're able to generate, then all of a
sudden you have a defense. You don't need the defense
(21:10):
to be you know the Texans because you have Josh Allen.
You just need that defense to not wet the bed
come January. And in order to do that, you're gonna
need the secondary to be competent at the bare minimum.
And those two players could be the key to getting
the Bills over the hump.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Finally, what about you guys, Ken drove four o'clock window. Well,
the Jags suck okay, stucky mix.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
That I was gonna say that is the Jags.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
I think, yeah, selling your Trevor Lawrence Stock feels like
a pretty big takeaway for you on a Sunday, Oh, I.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
Think, oh, go ahead stuff, No go ahead.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
I was just gonna say I think that that is.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
My biggest takeaway is that this team just it's also
just stupidity on their part. There's one disciplined the fact
that ETN goes on these absolute ball out you know,
a couple downs and they go away from the run
and back to the passing game. It's just it feels
like incompetence from top to bottom. Players are getting ejected.
The penalties, the drops, the interceptions, it just I can't
(22:16):
This team sucks, the same old Jags.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
They their super Bowl was the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Of course, they're gonna look really good at the beginning
of the season with the toughest part of their schedule,
they're gonna get hurt and fall apart. It's the same
old Jags, jagging off as always.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Don't trust this team. They suck. They suck. I have
been through this my entire life.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
Now I know how this is gonna go. This is
how they keep me reeled in here but they're actually.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Ass I will say the Jags. So they had the
ball almost that entire game, and so they had a
ball for forty three minutes. That was their time of possession.
The Raiders. Now, I mean, who needs another break more
than the Broncos. They play the Bronc down.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
How about those Broncos.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
They play in Denver on Thursday night after playing an
overtime game, where their defense on the field for forty
three minutes. If you go back, historically, teams off an
overtime game on short rest have been atrocious against the
spread seven and twenty five against the spread on short
(23:24):
rest after an overtime game. And they were and on
top of that, like I said, their defense was on
the field the entire game. Bowers obviously brought.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
A lot back to He's so fucking good, dude, It's
he I can't even he's so That one arm catch
that he had, I was like, I'm not even mad
about that.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
That was sick. I want to actually do that again, just.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Like at Georgia. You know, they can use him in
the run game too. It's it's such a shame that
he's being wasted on the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Yeah, it's but that's a brutal spot. Now on Thursday night,
short week you lose on a two point conversion at
the last second of overtime, like, and your defense is
on the field for forty three minutes and you're going
to altitude. But then you have to in order to
fade that, you gotta bet the Broncos, who like have
a what is there? I don't even know the Broncos.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
You're ticking time bomb. I bet on them this weekend.
I'm not gonna bet on them again for a couple
of weeks. I did text one of my buddies today
who's a Bears fan, and I was like, how would
you feel if I said, let's trade Trevor Lawrence for
Caleb Williams. Straight up, you take on Trevor's contract, obviously
the Jags will take on Caleb's Who says no? And
he was like, honestly, as a fan, I wouldn't say
(24:34):
no to that. I think they both just need a
fresh start somewhere.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Yeah. I agree that the Broncos are ticking time bomb
like they I mean, this is what they've won six straight.
Could have lost to the Jets who had negative ten
passing yards. They should have lost to the Giants where
they were down twenty in that game, and then all
the Giants secondary guys got hurt and they missed two
extra points. They had that crazy comeback against the e Goals,
(25:00):
they beat Jake Browning, and then they beat the Texts
today because c J. Stroud gets hurt. Like it is
one of the most laughable six game winning streaks you'll
ever see.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
So I'm sure that you've already mentioned this in passing,
but I just want to reiterate that they're ten point
favorites on Thursday Night.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Ten sense, Yeah, I think that's too high. Yeah, but
I don't know if I like the spot for the
Raiders is so bad and bow Knicks looks competent when
if he plays like a terrible defense.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
They just feel like they're built to beat everybody by two.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
I mean, they beat the Cowboys, are a terrible defense.
They blew the Cowboys out, so like that's that's when
Nick's like, if you look at Nick's EPA this year,
like all of it came against the Bengals and the
and the Cowboys at home, and they were blowout wins.
And those those are two of them. They're probably the
two worst defenses in the NFL. The Raiders aren't too far.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Behind divisional opponent two, so you're going to keep that
in mind.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah, last last year, the Broncos Raiders had a similar defense.
Last year, the Broncos beat them thirty four to eighteen
at home, and they won by ten on the road.
So and Knicks had decent games in both. I think
there was a pick six in one of those games
(26:23):
by Sirtain that flipped the game at like one hundred
and five yard pick six or something. But they did
cover both last year and won by double digits like that.
That's when Nicks usually has a good game when there's
just but certain's also not in there. The defense is
completely different. You saw that early Stroud was moving the
ball up and down the field with ease. But man,
(26:46):
it's tough spot for the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
My other big takeaway though, the Rams could win the
Super Bowl, and I'm so serious it's about that. I
know that they beat up on the Saints, but they
are so consistent. Matthew Stafford is probably having the best
year of his career and that's seriously something to say.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yeah, Rams' Rams are a player for sure. Didn't Kua
get hurt.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Did I say you got it was a chest injury.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
I don't know if you ever checked back into the game,
but I would need them at full strength to back
that financially that opinion. But I do think that the
team is good enough to get there.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
We are okay, So we had a really successful day.
It's great.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Okay, we can pat ourselves on the back for a second.
But of course in sports bet betting, it's all about
what you do. Next, we're going to talk Sunday Night
Football briefly, We're going to do a Monday Night Football
same game parlay. Before we get to any of that,
I'm going to toss it to Kendra for a word
about our partners at DraftKings.
Speaker 4 (27:39):

(28:00):
The last three months of the A League pass. The
crown is yours.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
All right, let's talk Sunday Night football, Seahawks at Commanders.
I'm on Jackson Smith and Jigba over ninety eight and
a half receiving yards. The number has ballooned up. I
just punched my microphone. Ballooned up ever since Cooper Couple's
announced out. But I mean he's gone over one hundred
yards in five of seven this year, so I don't
(28:24):
I don't love either side. I think I would lean Seattle,
but I'm just gonna go JSN Big game, Kendraw. It
looks like I've already checked the app. You're on Seattle
in this one.
Speaker 5 (28:34):
I am on Seattle.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I think the Cooper Cup sing obviously hurts them a bit,
but I'm still I'm still walked into the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Is it a Seahawks buy or Commander's fade for you?
Speaker 4 (28:47):
I think it's a little bit of both. The Seahawks
are just so good on the road, it's hard for
me to go anywhere against them, and I just I
was waiting for that.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
I've said this all year.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
I've been waiting for this Commander's team to show who
they are too.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Many injuries, dumb coach. That's where I'm at, stuck.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
You got anything tonight?
Speaker 3 (29:06):
I got nothing? Uh. I do think that the like
a situationally, like like that, it's all commanders, although like
the you know, the seats are coming off the by
They've been great on the road under McDonald, but this
is like a savior season spot. You're kind of buying
them low also, I mean I should say like travel
wise and like that situationally, like you know, they're on
(29:28):
a short week, Seattle's off a bye, that favorite Seattle.
But just market wise, like this is probably the lowest
that we've been on Washington all year, and maybe close
to the highest on Seattle. But I can't get there
with just matchup wise, Like I had a flat three,
I would I would lean Washington. This has come down
(29:51):
a bit, but I have no plan. I mean when
I look at this number one, like is what is
Daniel's going to look like? Is it hundred percent? But
there's no McLaurin, and this offense hasn't looked like it
did last year. Right, it's the rhythm, isn't there? Lee.
(30:12):
The league has started to adjust to some of the
things that Cliff and he have done. The timing isn't
there with the receivers who have been in and out
and injured. And then the defense is really really bad.
It's old. Some of the pieces that they're relying on
look like they're definitely past their prime. And then they
had all the injuries up front of the defensive line,
which you know, basically prevents them from being able to
(30:33):
generate pressure, which that defense needs to do. And because
of that, the Seahawks, who are so good in play action,
there's just going to be so many opportunities for them
to have. They're just going to be wide open guys.
So I just don't know how Washington is going to
get consistent stops. And then you look at Seattle's defense.
(30:53):
This is a defense that can generate pressure at on
e laite level without blitzing, and I think their defense
is only going to get better as the year goes on.
As a McDonald you would expect from McDonald defense. And
you got to remember that this is a defense that
wasn't healthy earlier this year, right all of the secondary injuries,
(31:16):
so they're getting healthier in the secondary. They also didn't
have DeMarcus Lawrence for a part of the season, So
this defense is scary because one of the best defensive
coaches in the NFL. Now, your secondary is getting healthier
and they can generate pressure without flitzing, which always gives
you a leg up. So yeah, like matchup wise would
(31:40):
lean Seattle as well. But this is a pure pass for.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Me Seattle right now minus two and a half. The
juice at minus won twenty on drafts Kings as it
stands right now, So it looks like Washington has taken
some money. If you're buying Seattle, you're also buying into
the possibility that Jayden Daniels just comes up lame. This
is a hamstring injury that's had him out and you
know that those will just pop up at any random moment.
(32:03):
So something else to consider for tonight. Let's get to
our Draft Kings Monday Night Football, fast past parlay before
we send you on your way. Sunday Night Football starting
in minutes. Arizona the matchup you want if you've got
a good quarterback tight end combo. I'm going back to
the prop world for this one. Give me Jake Ferguson
(32:25):
over four and a half catches against the Arizona Cardinals tonight.
That will be my leg of the parlay. Kendra, what
you got?
Speaker 4 (32:33):
I was going to say, that's where I was gonna go.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
Can you go to Stucky first, just so I can
find the odds on this one thing that I want
really quick. As a backup, I should have looked at
your notes.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
All right.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
So this is the beauty of being the host of
the show is you get to steal all of the
good props.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
All right, Stucky, what you got?
Speaker 3 (32:49):
I'm gonna go with the Cardinals plus three and a half?
I was I just really wanted three here. So now
the fact that it was three and a half, I
bet it. It's three and a half at DraftKings right
minus one fifteen, which I think is fine. The offenses
looked better with Brissette this year. This is a team
that went went toe to toe with Indianapolis when they
(33:09):
didn't even have their receivers. They've also been dealing with
secondary injuries all year. Should be healthier on that front.
I do think it's a well schooled defense. They'll prevent
explosive plays. I know the Cowboys offense is electric at home.
They'll get their points here, but the Cowboys defense is horrendous.
They can they have.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
The injuries on that side of the ball too.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Yeah, they have more injuries. I mean not like it matters.
Can it get get Like I was thinking about this
of the day, I was like, all right, well Dallas
has more injuries, and like like can they can it
actually get any worse?
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Like it might actually make them better?
Speaker 3 (33:42):
But yeah, the Cowboys have more injuries, you know, safety injuries.
So like they're they're court like Digs is on ir
I mean he's been awful, but like this is the
Cowboys team that cannot stop anybody. So you could say, like, oh, yeah,
they'll put up forty at home. I mean they did
that against the Giants and didn't against Russell Wilson and
(34:04):
couldn't cover three and a half. They put up forty
against the Packers, couldn't win the game. So yeah, I uh,
there's no reason why the Cardinals can't keep up. So yeah,
the Cardinals. Basically, the perception on the Cardinals compared to
who they are we talked about I talked about this
(34:24):
last week is so there's a huge disparity there because
the Cardinals are two and five. People like, look at
all other two and five. They lost five in a row.
They easily could be five and two. I mean, they
lost to San Francisco by one because of what they dropped,
a wide open passed to win that game. They lost
on the last second field goal to Seattle after they
messed up the kick. They lost to the Titans in
the most improbable lost of the year, by one. They
(34:47):
lost to the colt in Indy by four, and then
they lost to the Packers at home by four. As
a team, their last five losses have come by thirteen
total points. So yeah, I mean, they're like the anti
Broncos this year. So like, this team isn't that bad.
They haven't lost the game by more than four all year,
(35:07):
and just like everybody, they're going to be able to
score in Dallas, and I do like this defensive this
defensive scheme, and they're going to be healthier on that
side of the ball coming out of the by which
they needed. Like if there was one team that needed
a buy more than any other team, it was them.
They were so snake bit and they also had a
(35:27):
ton of injuries. But like just the mental anguish of
that five week losing streak, like every game in crazier
ways all by one, two, three, or four, points. I
think the bye came at the perfect time. I think
you'll get their best effort here. So yeah, anything over
a field goal I think is good here.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
I so I've real quick, Kendra.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
I not that anyone.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Should care about this, but to Stucky's point about the
perception not meeting reality on the Cardinals, my power rating
has them. Just think about them in line with the
forty nine Ers, who I think most people think, oh,
that's a pretty good football team. The Chicago Bears, who
continue to put up a bunch of points are higher
rated than the Steelers, who just beat the Colts, So
(36:14):
you know this team. My I tend to overrate the
Cowboys a little bit, but to the Cardinals point, they're
not as bad as the record or perception would say, Kendra,
what we got?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Can I guess what it is? I guess Marvin Harrison
Junior anytime touchdown?
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Now, I was gonna say, let's since we're coming off
of a parlay win, I want you guys to tie
break for me because I'm on the side either there are.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Two sides of me.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
There is an angel on my shoulder and a devil
on my shoulder. Do we go with the de Mercado
anytime plus three ninety is a long shot. We're feeling
lucky type of thing?
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Go on?
Speaker 5 (36:53):
Or do we love?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Can we get Can we get a Bam night touchdown?
Can I go to take that?
Speaker 3 (37:01):
What about? What about h McBride?
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Is it McBride allergic to the end zone?
Speaker 3 (37:07):
He's like, so do for touchdowns?
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Just I remember saying that every week last year.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
I've only got him one time. Yeah, he's he's he
likes per set. I've only got him touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (37:19):
Take it.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Okay, let's two touchdowns and a dog. Let's do tight ends?
Two tight ends and two.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Tight ends and the dog. Can we name the parlay that?
Can we get the production people to name the parlay that?
Two tight ends and a dog fast pass parlay presented
by Draft Kings anytime touchdown for Traye McBride over four
and a half catches for Jake Ferguson and the Arizona Cardinals,
those stinky Cardinals plus three and a half against the Cowboys.
(37:46):
