Speaker 1 (00:00):
Can't. I am six forty. You're listening to the John
Cobelt podcast on the iHeartRadio app. We are alive everywhere
on the iHeartRadio app from one until four and then
after four o'clock John Cobelt's show on demand on the
iHeart app. That's posted, you know, shortly after four o'clock.
Anything you missed you can catch up on. And obviously

(00:21):
we've had a load of stuff, you know, not stop,
really full week and Michael Monks is, oh, we're gonna
play clips of that absurd newsome speech last night. It
was nationally televised. They say, by who did he break
into network and cable programming or was he live streaming?

(00:43):
In any event, we've got some great clips. Michael Monk's, boy,
was he in the middle of things? You know earlier
over the weekend he got pepper sprayed. There was some
incident today in Boyle Heights involved Well, I'll let.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
You tell you it's been kind of murky, for it
has been murky, and we've been trying to gather details
on what exactly happened. The thing is, it's one of
those situations where there's video floating around out there and
it's pretty compelling video, but we don't have all of
the details on what it is. There has been a
lot of false video running around. Oh absolutely all sides.
I mean a lot of nonsense. I do not look

(01:24):
at social media videos, videos that are months old, years old.
This one's fresh. This is fresh video from today and
Boyle Heights in the first images that we were seeing
was just a civilian vehicle that is then smashed up
and stopped by two large vehicles and they appeared to
be connected to federal government, and so there were different

(01:46):
reactions in the community. Was this a hit and run?
Was this an ice rate on a guy? And in
the middle of Boyle Heids, you know, what's the circumstances here?
And it looks like we finally got our answers. But
in the midst of the confusion, Eric I sent this over.
This is a witness who's talking to KTLA about what
he saw when it happened.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Because the student I was like, oh crap, that's that's nice.
So I come walking up to you know, see what's
going on. And when I get here, there's the gal
standing here where their two babies, and she says that
they rammed her vehicle and they threw a tear gas.
There was a tear gas canister in the street, and
men with guns assault weapons came out and they grabbed

(02:28):
her partner and she asked him to identify them herselves,
and they just refused to talk to her, and so
they threw them into the truck and took off.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
So that was sort of what people were seeing was,
oh my gosh, two big vehicles, a car at tensions
are obviously, a woman gets out with two kids, and
then a guy is taken into cussy. The drivers is
taken into custy rifles. Yeah, tear gas, can gas, I
wish I got to know up close. And pressure over
the weekend not pleasant, and so everyone is petrified about

(02:57):
what's happened. But now the Department of Homeland Security has
come out with their version of events. They say this
was a targeted arrest of a violent rioter who punched
a Customs and Border Patrol officer. And when Homeland Security
investigations tried to arrest Christian Damian Serno Camacho for the assault,

(03:18):
he attempted to flee. He was ultimately arrested and taken
into custody.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Today, So he took his woman and the two kids
on the joy ride.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Well, they may have been on a ride for any
number of reasons, but this is probably Yeah. But then
the federal government showed up and said, hey, aren't you
the guy that punched one of our guys.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, So it ended up being that was the explanation
of what happened. The LAPED is also looking into what happened.
But you heard during the news conference just a little
while ago that even the chief wasn't entirely sure he.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Punted on that. I was wondering if he knew what
happened but just didn't want to get into it because
that would open twelve other questions. Would you want his
job right now?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I mean, and now you don't even worry about executing
you know, the police tactics, but like with just the
volume of incidents you revenue, and.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
That's so much of it is just pause information and
you've got to back down all of it. If you don't,
then they assume you're hiding something exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I mean, you can't really win if you're the LAPD.
Right now, you've got protesters who are mad at you.
Donald Trump is mad at you. I mean, you might
as well just call in a hole. No, well, he
took the job. He took the job in Los Angeles.
What did he think it was gonna happen? That's exactly right?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
All right, all right, very good, thank you for more.
Let us know. I will Michael munks I. I can't
believe the amount of emotional manipulation in hysteria that goes
on in the media continuously now. And the crap on
social media is just tremendous. And my wife sees stuff

(04:49):
and she she's just curious. She goes, is this real?
And I look at it, and all right, I'll tell
you what I saw the other day. I saw video
and it looked like it was a police chase. Cars
are driving in circles in a big parking lot and
a guy jumps out of nowhere and kicks his way

(05:10):
into the front windshield of this car. And I'm trying
to figure out is that a cop? Is that a
cop car and this bad guy just kicked out the
front windshield and jumped inside the cop car? Or was
it a cop who did that? And I'm thinking, well, no,
that's turns out it's a scene from a movie. Okay,
but it's being spread around like look what happened today,
and it's like some kind of police brutality or some

(05:32):
crazy crime chase. I could give you a dozen examples
of those, just from this week. There's so much propaganda
put out there. I read in the New York Times
a few days ago they profiled a guy. He's a
young black man in his twenties, and he writes incendiary
things to upset Democratic voters, and he writes pro Republican,

(05:58):
pro MAGA whatever, and just writes crazy stuff. Makes about
fifty five thousand dollars on X because he gets a
lot of engagement. And it's just total made up nonsense.
It's just all kinds of hysterical claims and charges and
and I'm looking at it's like this is actually a job.
This is a career, or at least it's a side job.

(06:19):
He just makes up inflammatory rhetoric and gets paid for
it from Elon Musk. It's on the front page of
the New York Times. And he says, I just wanted
to do something that would get me attention, and it worked.
Oh he thinks, you know, he wish as he was
making more money. Fifty five grand doesn't get you very far.

(06:41):
But you know, if you just want to do that
nights and weekends. That's not bad. And I'm thinking this
is the whole world now. I remember reading a little
while back a third of teenagers in high school their
career goal is to be an influencer. And now that
whole generation is out there and they're they're writing nonsense.

(07:02):
Somebody in the news media here in Li told me
the only thing that gets ratings on the local news
now are car chases and fires, and the same thing
applies to the internet. You know, just put videos on
a car chase, claim it's ice going after you know,
a mother and her three kids, and you'll get ten

(07:26):
million views and make money on it. All right, we're
gonna start getting into the newsome nationally televised speech coming
up next.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
You're listening to John Cobelt on demand from KFI AM
six forty.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Moistline is Friday in the three o'clock hour Wadnesday Wednesday
eight seven seven moist eighty six eight seven seven moist
eighty six. Before we start analyzing her stupid husband's nationally
televised speech yesterday, Jennifer News not very bothered by the

(08:04):
rioting going on in the area. Oh, come on, she
went on a shopping spree in Beverly Hills.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
You know, you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes
get the itch.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Well, you know, if you were ever married to a politician,
a famous politician, I know exactly the kind of first
lady you'd be. What are you talking about? I know
you'd be good at it.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Yeah, I probably.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Anyway, she went on a shopping trip. I was seeing
with a twenty five hundred dollars handbag, a Goyard tone bag.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
I don't have one, but I know, yeah, it's one
of those that it's popular.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well, what makes it twenty five hundred dollars? It's just
a name brand. How was you about to say, Goyard
makes it twenty five hundred? Do you have a twenty
five hundred dollars go Yard wallet? Do? I no, Eric though,
but I know I know a couple people that do. Oh,
there is such a thing. She was seen at this

(09:08):
shopping complex one Beverly Hills, and she was out with
a bodyguard. She was wearing five hundred dollars Common Project sneakers,
and she was seen sporting a smirk, and she entered
a complex of this is all New York post stuff

(09:30):
swanky wellness centers and spas wellness centers. What's wrong with that?
I forgot you go to wellness centers.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
I mean I don't, but I do like going.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
When you went to some wellness yes.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
I did in Arizona, that's true, but it's not a
wellness center.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Did you feel well when you were done? I did.
It was definitely a retreat.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
It was.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Were people running around naked in the wood chanting no, no, no,
they have those I haven't. And one of Newsom's spokesholes
got all snippy and huffy, saying she did not have
a Wait, the first partner did not have a SPA
treatment yesterday. Can't call her the first lady, the first partner,

(10:22):
but she did not have a spot treatment yesterday. But
she does have a prior skin cancer diagnosis and was
picking up skin care products on her personal time. Wow.
They pulled out the cancer guard to try to beat
back the snarky New York Post reporters whoa onto her
stupid husband. Now, I didn't see this last night, so

(10:48):
I'm gonna be somewhat surprised. I've seen clips. We're gonna
play a few in the next two segments. But Newsom
went on, did a speech, and he tried to look
like the president, you know, like he had flags and
he had the idea California banners behind him, you know,
the California symbol, and looked like he was giving an

(11:09):
important address. I don't know who carried this, but we're
gonna play. And he starts going on about Trump and
the National Guard.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Donald Trump, without consulting California law enforcement leaders, commandeered two
thousand of our state's National Guard members to deploy on
our streets, illegally and for no reason. This brazen abuse
of power by a sitting president inflamed a combustible situation,
putting our people, our officers, and even our National Guard

(11:44):
at risk. That's when the downward spiral began. He doubled
down on his dangerous National Guard deployment by fanning the
flames even harder.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
And the President stop talking. I'm endeared and mobilized the
National Guard without consulting. He doesn't have to go read
the law. You'll see you've already lost the first round
in court. You might find a left wing judge to
side with you for five minutes, but you're going to lose.

(12:15):
He doesn't have to get your approval. You have no
veto power. He simply passes on the plan through you.
His secretary of State is supposed to call you and
say this is what we're going to do, and you're
supposed to help him do it. He's the president. You're not.

(12:35):
You're not in charge of the National Guard all by yourself.
The president outranks you. He really swallowed his own He
inhaled his own gas on this. He thinks because he's
talking about California being like its own nation, almost being
like a nation state, and he believes it to the
point where he thinks he is the president of his

(12:55):
own country and that's his army, the National Guard. It's not.
He's wrong, he's lying any stupid And to this moment,
I have to reiterate this. Not one National Guard officer
has had anything to do with any arrest of any

(13:18):
illegal alien. They have simply been guarding the Federal building
downtown and the Federal building in Westwood and guarding the
employees and helping other agencies. They've been on federal land
protecting federal employees. They have not arrested a single illegal alien,

(13:39):
nor have they arrested a single protester, nor have they
had any interaction at all with any protesters or illegal aliens.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
Although John this just came in the Associated Press. The
National Guard troops already have temporarily detained civilians in the
LA protests over the immigration raids. That's what the commander
in charge the todation quickly turn them over to law enforcement.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
All right, well that's not in sand are either. I I.
You see what Newson doesn't understand is Trump is in
charge and Trump is taking control of the situation because
you let California go to hell. You're the one who
let who invited basically a million illegal aliens in here

(14:23):
and gave them free healthcare. You have hundreds of thousands
of criminals in California, illegal alien criminals that you never
turned over to ICE. So if you don't want to
run California, he will. It's up to you. Same thing
with Karen Bass play more clips coming up.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
You're listening to John Cobbel's on Demand from KFI, A.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Six forty run every day from one until four and
after four o'clock. John Cobelt's show on Demand on the
iHeart app. We've been playing bits and pieces of Gavin
Newsom's address to the Nation last night. I'm sure went
over real well in the other forty nine states. I
still don't know who carried it unless they're counting their

(15:07):
their streaming site as being a national address. You know,
one thing, you have to understand, the idea that we're
a sanctuary state or sanctuary city is complete nonsense. In
federal law, there is no such thing. There is no

(15:27):
such concept as a sanctuary state or a sanctuary city
where you don't have to follow federal law. But Newsom
and Bass and a thousand others told this lie years ago,
and it stuck, and the average person on the on
the on the street thinks it's a real thing. It
is not a real thing. It is not recognized in

(15:50):
federal law at all. And no judge will recognize this.
And I'll give you an example because Ken and I
were a part of this years ago in Arizona, I
think it was around twenty eleven. Arizona had something called
SB twelve seventy Senate built twelve seventy and it gave
immigration arrest powers to local law enforcement. I'm boiling it down,

(16:16):
and I was all for that thought that was a
great idea. In fact, Ken and I went to Arizona
and did a show from Arizona over this issue. Big
crowds were showing up. Whole state was upside down about it.
And it was a Republican governor and it was a
Democratic president I think it was Obama at the time,

(16:41):
and the Republicans in Arizona said, we can police illegal
aliens any anyway we want. If you, the federal government
doesn't do your job, then we'll do it. Well, Obama
took him to court and he won, and the Supreme
Court told Arizona, no, you're wrong. Read the Constitution, Read

(17:02):
federal law that's been passed by Congress. The state has
no right to supersede federal law. Nothing the state does
on immigration supersedes federal law. You're out of luck. You're
not the president, you're not Congress. Too bad, you don't

(17:24):
like it, You got to live with the consequences. I
remember being pissed off about that because I thought the state,
at least morally, was right. They're having this immigration problem
dumped on them because the idiots in Washington were allowing
the border to be wide open. Even then, not as

(17:46):
bad as Biden, I mean, baby stuff, compared to now, Well,
it's the same concept. We're on the losing side last time,
but this time it's just reversed. Newsom is saying, no, no,
we can override federal immigration law. We think it's too tight.

(18:07):
We think it's it should it should be loosened. We
think we should be a sanctuary from federal immigration law.
Arizona thought it should be a sanctuary in a way
and enforce immigration law that the feeds didn't want to.
This is the reverse. Newsom and Bass want to be

(18:28):
exempt from immigration law. Well, if you can't have it
one way, you can't have it the other. Ultimately, it's
up to the president period. Obama wanted a loose border.
That's what you got. Biden wanted a wide open border.
That's what you got. Trump wants an extremely tight border.
That wins. That's the way the Constitution and federal law

(18:54):
is written. It's been run through the courts one hundred times.
So when you hear new there's some bloviating, to use
his word, that's all he's doing is bloviating. He's emotional manipulation.
He's wrong. Let play you a clip here where he
finally admits that some of the protesters did get violent.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
As the news spread throughout LA Anxiety for family and
friends ramped up. Protests started again. By night, several dozen
lawbreakers became violent and destructive. They vandalized property, they tried
to assault police officers. Many of you have seen the
video clips of cars burning on cable news. If you

(19:36):
incite violence, I want to be clear about this, If
you incite violence or destroy our communities, you're going to
be held to account. That kind of criminal behavior will
not be tolerated, full stop, full starting. More than two
hundred and twenty people have been arrested, and we're reviewing
tapes to build additional cases, and people will be prosecuted
to the fullest extent of the law.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
That's his tough guy talk. He needed to have that
sound by now. In truth, he has allowed thousands of
criminals to run free in a sanctuary state. He has
prevented the federal government from taking these thousands of criminals
and deporting them. So the federal government is now coming
in here to grab them. What they could have done

(20:22):
is turn over all these criminals when they got arrested
or after they served their prisoner jail sentence, called up
bys and said well we got him, you want him.
They never did. They've refused to for many years. So
he can talk tough all he wants, but he almost
never turns over a criminal, even if it's violent. Who

(20:42):
are the four guys I told you about earlier? Today?
Bill Milushian had this from Fox News. A murderer, two
child molesters, and a drug trafficker were picked up over
the weekend, among many other criminals, but those were some
of the worst. Let me play this closing bit from

(21:04):
newsom cut number nine.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
This isn't just about protests here in Los Angeles. When
Donald Trump sought blanket authority to commandeer the National Guard,
he made that order apply to every state in this nation.
This is about all of us. This is about you.
California maybe first, but it clearly will not end here.
Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under

(21:34):
assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared has arrived.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
All right, Stop, he's taking Stop. Democracy is not under assault.
Let's go through this again. He has total control of
emigration policy. He has control over any state's National Guard.
California is the only state that is refusing to cooperate
at all with federal law. They're the sanctuary city, the

(22:00):
sanctuary state. That's handing out free illegal alien healthcare. There's
a million illegal aliens just in La County alone, a
million just in this county. There has never been any
enforcement of immigration law, never any cooperation at all. Other

(22:22):
states don't do this. We have a huge percentage of
all the illegal aliens in the country because we give
them so much money and so many benefits. It costs
US thirty five billion dollars a year California taxpayers thirty
five billion a year just to finance the lives of

(22:45):
illegal aliens. We had a democratic vote. Trump won, He
won the popular vote, he won the electoral College vote,
and the day before he got inaugura rated fully two
thirds of the country agreed that illegal aliens should be deported. So,

(23:09):
just like years ago, the side I was sympathetic to
lost lost the Supreme Court case when it came to
Arizona enforcing immigration laws. That's still the same standard. You
don't want to legal aliens to port it. You're on
the wrong side. That's not the law, that's not the constitution.

(23:29):
That's simply not the administration that you want. Because he
won and your side lost.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
You're listening to John Cobels on demand from KFI Am sixty.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
John Cobel show, I Am six forty Live everywhere on
the iHeartRadio app. Have you heard of NSS Martha Vineyards story?
Marsha's Vineyard story. This is so funny. Do you remember
when Ron DeSantis Ronda Santis, the Florida governor, sent a
planeload of illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard. I believe this

(24:04):
was in the early days when Biden threw the border
wide open and Greg Abbott started filling up buses with
illegal aliens and they were going to New York City
and Chicago, and DeSantis was sending planes and they ended
up in Martha's Vineyard, and the people in Martha's Vineyard
completely freaked out. These are all very wealthy, very they're

(24:31):
smarmy people. They they were completely out of touch with reality,
very very liberal, very condescending, and they had they have
way too much money, and they couldn't believe all these
unwashed illegal aliens had been dumped on their island. So

(24:52):
they turned around and deported the illegal aliens themselves. Yeah,
they did, so Santa deports them from Florida to Martha's Vineyard.
And Martha's Vineyard all the rich snobs deported them off
the island. Well, it turns out Martha's Vineyard residents were
also employing illegal aliens, and the Trump administration ICE conducted

(25:18):
a series of raids in Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Nantucket
another very wealthy island enclave. And now the people are
upset over that. Hey, it's like, hey, we'll deport these
illegal aliens. You can't. So they were upset when illegal
aliens were dumped on their island, and they were upset

(25:39):
when this separate crop of illegals were taken off the
Apparently a lot of these what do you know, all
these wealthy snots were employing illegal aliens in their homes.
Now they're gonna have to cook their own food, might

(26:00):
have to clean their own floors. They might have to
mow their own lawns. Now, that's what cracks me up
about wealthy people. Well, I need them to mow my lawn.
You know, I grew up Laura, middle class. All the dads,
that's what they did on Saturdays. They mowed the lawn.

(26:24):
Wasn't a big deal. The moms tended to the gardens,
wasn't a big deal. They just did it. While ICE
was arresting people in Nantucket and Martha Vineyard. They arrested
forty people and they found a documented MS thirteen gang
member and at least one child sex offender. Now you

(26:51):
think the good people in Martha's Vineyard in Nantucket would
be happy that a sex offender, child sex offender was
taken off the island, but they're not. You think they'd
be happy that an MS thirteen gang member was removed,
but they're not. One more thing here in La Isabelle Herado,

(27:16):
she is a defund the police f the police, city
council woman. She wants to use tax money to fund
an illegal alien defense fund, and she's got support from
most of the rest of the city council. It hasn't

(27:37):
entirely passed yet, doesn't say how much money. But LA's
bankrupt and they want to spend your tax money to
defend illegal aliens. All right, well, we're not coming back.
We're done. I don't know exactly what I was going
to be promoting there, But Conway is next. He's coming up,
and Michael Krozer has got the news live in the

(27:59):
KFI twenty four our newsroom. Hey, you've been listening to
