The John Kobylt Show Hour 1 (11/12) - NewsNation White House Correspondent Libbey Dean comes on the show to talk about the new Epstein emails that mentioned Pres. Trump. The Northern Lights could be seen in some US states last night! Two planes almost collided after takeoff at LAX on Halloween. It makes no sense why Gov. Newsom went to Brazil to talk about climate change.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Can't. I am six forty.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
You're listening to the John Cobel podcast on the iHeartRadio app. Welcome,
Have we got a show today? We got a show
let me tell you. Coming up next hour, leading Republican
good natorial candidate Steve Hilton is going to come on
the show after two o'clock to talk about Gavin Newsom

(00:23):
prancing and preening in Brazil pretending he's the president at
the climate conference.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
So Steve Hilton at two o'clock.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
If you haven't heard him yet and you're looking for
alternative candidates than what we usually get, he's a Republican
and you'll want to listen to him. Then three o'clock
we've been having him on the show literally for decades.
Tom McClintock, the Northern California Congressman, and today the House

(00:51):
is voting on voting to him the shutdown, and he's
right there and we will discuss.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
That with him.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
And we also have now Livy Dean Reporder with the
News Nation, the Cable TV News Network, because what's now
overwhelming Washington, DC political life is the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Because now that the House is back in session, they

(01:23):
released twenty three thousand pages of documents from Epstein's estate.
This stuff had been delayed for months, and there are
emails coming out that the Democrats released that point to
Trump knowing what was going on in Epstein's mansions. And

(01:44):
that's what Libby Dean is coming on to talk about here.
See if there's anything real juicy in these documents.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Libby, how are you hey?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Thanks for having me. I'm very How are you doing.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I'm good? So what's new about Trump and Epstein?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Well, you know what is really interesting actually that you
mentioned that I do want to acknowledge is the timing
is pretty noteworthy today. I mean, you would have thought
that we would have been talking about the potential end
to the longest US government shutdown and history that we
might see play out tonight here in Washington. But yet again,
here we are talking about the release of the Steine files,

(02:21):
and it's something the White House really just can't shake,
as both Democrats and Republicans themselves are urging for more
details here. But what we saw play out today was
a group of House Democrats on the Oversight Commute. They
released three emails and they spanned from twenty eleven to
twenty nineteen, and within those emails, Jeffrey Epstein mentioned President

(02:44):
Trump by name several times. And when the White House
Press secretary, who had asked about this several times during
the press briefing that I was in a couple of
hours ago, what she responded was that the email proved
that the President did nothing wrong here, and that the
emails ultimately proved nothing and that ultimately Democrats are selectively

(03:05):
releasing documents. And that's what the White House is saying.
But this is like something that's really divided Republicans within
their own party. We've seen it play out over the
last several months, but here it is yet again at
the forefront here at the wine house to day with
this release of these emails.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Well, anyone who's interested in this case already knew that
Trump and Epstein were pals, that they hung out together
at Merra a Lago, that Epstein was at the club frequently,
might have been a member, that Trump might have thrown
them out. I mean, for every story that comes out,
somebody denies it at the other end. But clearly they
knew each other, they socialize with each other. There's plenty

(03:44):
of photographs. Everybody's looking to see if there are evidence
that Trump was involved sexually with one of Epstein's girls
or if there's real and I mean, it's kind of
hard to believe that after eleven years of Trump being
in this kind of spotlight, if if there was something,
it hadn't come out by now.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, And what you mentioned there about the mar Alago
piece of all this was something that actually came up
directly in the press briefing today. And there's these as
you mentioned, there's two contradicting sides that we continue to
hear this denial and these new allegations that come out.
And one that was interesting that kind of stood out
to me today and that was mentioned in these emails,

(04:24):
is it says that President Trump Epstein any emails kinds
of President Trump asked him to resign from being a
member of the mar A Lago Club. And then Stein's
in the email says, you know what, I wasn't even
a member in the first place, but the White House
is saying he was. So that's one little contradiction within
the really hundreds that we've seen throughout the developments of this.

(04:45):
But one of those key things that you were mentioning
was if he knew what was going on.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
That is a big question.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
So I do want to read this email from Jeffrey
Epstein to Balaine Maxwell. This all happened in twenty eleven,
so these investigations or well underway, but this is the
one that stood out to me, and it's where Epstein says, quote,
I want you to realize that the job who that
hasn't barked is Trump and it's redacted talking about a
victim spent hours at my house with him. He has

(05:13):
never once been mentioned least chief, et cetera. I'm seventy
five percent there. So that does make some kind of
acknowledgment if you were to drive that kind of information
there and really read into it, it seems to point
to some kind of knowledge about what was going on.
And then a separate email does say he quote knew

(05:35):
about the girls. Epstein says that about Trump. So that's
why this is causing a lot of uproar here and
why Republicans want more details, because it seems like there
are so many elements of the story that you really
want to look at the big picture. And that was
that question you asked, and it did the president have
knowledge of what Jeffrey Epstein was doing?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Well, I would think that if he was a close
friends with Epstein's you couldn't possibly not realize what was
going on, and it's he got teenage girls running around
the house.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
But I know I have to continue to say that
he has no wrongdoing here, So that's something that they
would claim as to be incorrect. But I see more
details continue to come out every day. I mean, we've
got this ending discharged position that has House Republicans who
have signed on to it, who want to see the

(06:25):
full release of these files. And there's reporting out there
that President Trump, and we even have them from my
colleague Joe Khalil, that he has personally called House Republicans
and urged them to take their names off that discharge
position petition. Now I have had a source to deny that,
but here we are again talking about the contradictions here
within the own Republican party. So it's very divisive here

(06:49):
and only continues to learn more details. There's even new
reporting that I do want to point out from the
New York Times that claims that this was talked about
in the situation room, and this is obviously something President
Trump is focused on. That's not something.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, go ahead if you judge people by their actions.
If he's holding meetings in the Situation Room and trying
to get House Republicans to get their names off that
discharge petition, that there's something there he doesn't want publicized,
it seems, because that's what's so.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
Yeah, that's what stands up because today, I mean, not
even five minutes after the Press Secretary had left the podium,
he wasn't talking. He was technically talking about the government shutdown,
but the first line of his true social posts was
about the Jeffrey Epstein hoax, as he calls it. So
it's something he's certainly focused on. And I even had
my own reporting this morning where President Trump had a

(07:41):
phone call with the House Speaker Mike Johnson, and they
of course talked about the shutdown, but Epstein did come
up as well. So it's not only personal phone calls
where this is coming up, and those are the only
ones we know about in public. Who knows what other
phone calls have happened. But it's President himself drawing attention
to this on his own social media.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Little piece of email from Epstein to Julane Maxwell about
a victim spending hours at my Epstein's house with Trump,
and the New York Times says that the House Oversight
Committee said that they're talking about Virginia Jeffrey, who is sixteen,

(08:24):
supposedly recruited from mar A Lago. She's the one most
associated with this Epstein scandal and she killed herself not
too long ago.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah, that was something that the Press Secretary in the
White House had been claiming that that is a victim
here that is redacted within this email, and that's something
they continue to reference when they're talking about this, and
they when they talk about this and say that was
the victim, they say that she claimed that President Trump
was not involved in any wrongdoing and couldn't have been
friendlier in their interaction. So that's what the White House

(08:59):
is within their actual direct response to what's within the
actual matter or subject matter of these females.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
All Right, very good, Libby, thank you for coming on
and explaining all this.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Thanks so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Of course, Libby Dean from NewsNation, the cable TV news network,
and uh, just just to summarize here, I don't see
anything looking through all these news stories that's different than
what we knew. We knew Trump and Epstein were close.
We knew that they were at Trump's club together. If

(09:35):
you're close to Epstein, you got to know those girls
running around. But I haven't seen anything that points to
Trump was having any kind of sexual relations with the girls.
But Trump and his team is sure acting squirreling. I mean,
it's it seems if you have if there's nothing there,

(09:57):
and all this stuff is apparently going to get released
no matter what. Anyway, the only thing anybody really cares about,
to the extent that anybody cares about it is if
Trump or any of these celebrities actually was involved in
sexual relations with the girls, if they were sleeping with
underage girls that Epstein was pimping out, and that hasn't

(10:21):
come up yet. But Trump and his team's doing everything
they can to try to try to squelch this story.
At this point, everything that came out today just reaffirms
what we already knew.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
So I don't know something's going on. More coming up.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
You're listening to John Cobelt on demand from KFI AM
six forty.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Next hour after Debra's news at two, Steve Hilton, leading
Republican candidate for governor, He is going to discuss Gavin
Newsom prancing around Brazil pretending to be the president fighting
climate change all by himself. After three o'clock, Tom McClintock,

(11:07):
the House today is going to vote to end the shutdown.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
And it's been a wacky time in Washington, d C.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
And as we were discussing with Libby Dean from News Nation,
there has never been you know, Trump came down the
escalator in twenty fifteen, so it's been ten and a
half years where everybody's tried to topple him in one
way or the other, everything from shooting at him, you know,

(11:33):
to indicting him multiple times, to conjuring up all kinds
of scandals and impeachments. And I would have thought that
if he really slept with some of the teenage girls,
that that would have been out by now. And on
the other hand, boy, they're going into overdrive to try
to squelch this story the Trump administration because whatever's out there,

(11:58):
these twenty three thousand documents, and I'm sure they've gone through,
you know, they've done a AI scan. It just confirms
everything that's been on the public record for months and years.
So I don't know if Trump just wants is sick
of hearing about this, but there still doesn't seem to

(12:20):
be any evidence that he actually had sex with any
of the girls.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
I'm looking at one thing where.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
There's an email, an email from Jeffrey Epstein to a
writer named Michael Wolfe who's written a number of Trump books,
and in twenty nineteen, Epstein tells wolf of course Trump
knew about the girls. Well, yeah, okay, I mean that's
been long established, so that email coming out doesn't change

(12:54):
again our public knowledge. And the Democrats, if they had
the evidence, they would have they they released stuff first.
They're on the House Oversight Committee. The Republicans run the committee,
but the Democrats released some of these emails first, selecting
him for thousands of pages. So what would you have
led with, you know, if Epstein was writing about Trump

(13:16):
really had a good time with you know, Gloria on
Friday night, and she's she's going to get a good
payout for this, and then he got something. So that's that.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I woke up this morning and I had some photos
that my son up in Wyoming had texted me, brilliant
northern lights photos. And then Eric had some photos from
a friend in Colorado.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Right, yeah, my friends live in Denver and they went
about fifteen miles north to get a little less light pollution.
And man, those images were crazy. I mean the green
and the red beautiful. These were really terrific. The the
you know, these doorly line are caused by solar eruptions.
The sun like belches out all these all these gases

(14:09):
and all this electromagnetic rays and they hit the Earth's
atmosphere and cause all this color to appear in the sky.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
And it is.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
It is brilliant, spectacular. It looks even bolder when you
take photographs of it because as the shutter is open
on your camera, it more light is emitted by this phenomenon.
Your camera picks it up and makes the colors look
even crazier. But even on its own if you get

(14:42):
it on a good night, this was like a level
four storm geomagnetic storm, and the scale goes from one
to five. What was really surprising last night is that
people were picking this up in Florida and Alabama, which
I never heard of. Occasionally, the Northern lights go as
far south as you know, draw a line like Wyoming

(15:03):
to Michigan, New England, but for it to dip all
the way down into Florida is really unusual.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Now.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Monday night there was some northern lights and my wife
told me that she was looking at our back window
and she saw a greenish glow, which you know, she
recognized because we were just in Iceland, right and you
could start picking up. And she was going to take
a photo of it, but got distracted and didn't and
didn't occur to her that these really were northern lights.

(15:35):
But we did get a little bit of a Monday
last night. We had too many clouds and too much
light pollution from the city. But people out east in
the desert and it's like a Joshua Tree Angels National
Forest up in the mountains, they saw it, and there
were some photos in the La Times today. It's supposed
to happen again today. But you know, we got a

(15:58):
big storm coming in. But if there already breaks in
the clouds, or maybe some clearing on the horizon before
the storm, you know, fully fully controls the skies, then
it could be. It could be quite fascinating and entertaining.
But to think that we flew thousands of miles to
Iceland and back and that was your first time seeing them, right,

(16:20):
that was the first time. Yeah, I never had before,
which is why I flew there, because you know, I've
been standing around waiting for them for a long time.
So of course you know, two and a half weeks later,
you got the spectacular light show hitting almost every state
in the Union. Anyway, if if you are out far
enough east tonight, maybe you've got some clear skies. Just

(16:43):
just stand out there and wait. There is an app
actually which I which I had on my phone, but
I think I think I deleted it, but you could
look it up. There's an app and it's kind of
a radar for electromagnetic storms, and it shows you after
the storm hits in the atmosphere and is creating this
northern lights effect where it is because it moves around

(17:05):
almost like like a weather system does. And you should
get one of the apps, and you could time as
to when it's coming out, and it gives you like
the percentage chance that you'll see it this evening within
a certain amount of time. It's pretty cool. I get
very excited about this stuff. I can spend the whole
show to talking about things like this.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
So now you're not going to though, right.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I'm going to do whatever I want to. I know
you do I'm not here to please you.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
If that is inevident by now, No, all right, more
coming up when we come back.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Oh here, you want something else?

Speaker 2 (17:47):
How about this near plane crash at l Oh God,
I knew, I'll see you don't like my choices.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
I'll people should know about this one.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yes, two planes almost collided on how at Lax And
we have some air traffic control audio of what that
sounds like when the controller who already has like spent
a month not getting paid and probably not sleeping.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
This welcome up.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
You're listening to John Cobels on demand from KFI AM
six forty.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
We have vacancies, vacancies inside my head. There's also vacancies
on the most moistline eight seven seven moist eighty six.
Eight seven seven moist eighty six. Whatever is irritating you,
whatever gets you angry and pissed off, you con vent
your feelings on the moistline eight seven seven moist eighty six.

(18:40):
We play it back on Friday, but you got to
call in now. Also use the talkback feature on the
iHeartRadio app. I got the term I was trying to
think of. The eruptions from the sun are called coronal
mass ejections. That's what the sun comes out of this
son which sounds kind of dirty, doesn't it Coronal mass ejections,

(19:04):
and it's a it's a it's eruptions of the magnetic
field in plasma, so you get inject ejection of plasma
that splatters all over.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Uh. That's what causes the northern lights.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
No wonder you are so into that.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
What's supposed to be geez, It's just a family show. Yes,
all right? Now, now time to scare Debora l a
X Halloween.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
And you have two planes taking off at about the
same time. One is it a air Wise Airways that's
an Italian company, and American Airlines. And it looks like
the I T A pilot started turning left off course

(20:01):
right in front of the American Airlines jet. Here's a
complete report from CBS two reporter Lori Peres.

Speaker 7 (20:08):
We have learned that this was very close to being
a very serious accident. It happened just moments after the
planes left the runways here at LAX. Experts say it
looks like it was pilot error, corrected thankfully by air
traffic controllers. But this will not help public perception right
now that flying is less safe as the government shutdown

(20:31):
continues and there are massive staffing shortages in the nation's airports.

Speaker 8 (20:36):
I was like, oh, a left ten turner. Well, that's
interesting because we just don't see that, and it kind
of made me think, like, what's going on.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
Kevin Ray has seen thousands of planes take off in
land his YouTube channel Airline Videos Live strains them from
LAX weekly, and he was rolling last Friday as two
passenger jets took off this one and eat a plane
headed to roll this one American Airlines bound for JFK.
He thought something was strange with the ETA flight and

(21:06):
moments later near catastrophe in the air as the planes
reportedly came within seconds of colliding.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
And it immediately made a left hand turn basically over
Dockwiler Beach, which is not something you would see unless
it was approved by ATC's. Basically, he's making a left
hand turn heading in the direction of American A three twenty.

Speaker 7 (21:25):
One vas Aviation on YouTube obtained the air traffic audio
and married it to a simulated air traffic controller radar scope.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
They created. The movement of the.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
Planes is based on real time GPS tracking on the
top of your screen. It y six twenty one is
ETA Airlines Flight six twenty one heading to Rome. Below it,
AAL four is American Airlines Flight four heading to New
York watches. An air traffic controller seems to notice something
happening with the ETA plane upon takeoff, It's headed in

(21:59):
the wrong direction, turning left into the path of the
American flight. He orders the ETA pilot to turn right
immediately as another controller warns the American plane to stop climbing.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Another jet is in its way.

Speaker 7 (22:13):
Reportedly, within five seconds of crashing in mid air.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
And four traffic head and fear left four mile climbing
out of one thousand, five hundred heavy up a figurreting Castolatemlin.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
Because of the government shutdown, the FAA would not provide
any information about the close call, but the Milan newspaper
Corriere della Sera, which broke this story, reports the planes
were only one thousand yards away from each other, closing
at two hundred and fifty miles an hour. When both
pilots took evasive actions, the crisis averted. An air traffic

(22:43):
controller asked the ETA pilot what happened, as the tower
checked in with Americans pilot about the near collision the American.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Poorio, Sorry about the traffic off the north side is
turned to the south on their own, right in front
of a.

Speaker 8 (22:59):
Yeah, the word apprecire that we noticed that the American power.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Get the other ahead up two.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
No, not really, we just kind of saw as soon
as we climbed up.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (23:09):
Sorry.

Speaker 7 (23:11):
American Airlines confirmed the near collision in a statement, thanking
air traffic controllers for their quick thinking. We could not
reach Eta Airlines for comment. Both flights did make it
to their destinations safely.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
So oop, sorry about that two jets five seconds from
colliding in mid air, hundreds of people aboard. Oh sorry,
I no worries. Wow, that was I didn't know it
was that close. Five seconds and uh well I got

(23:47):
the air traffic controllers attention, two of them. Now, what
what if we were in I remember in Newark a
couple of months ago they had real staff shortages. They
had one guy at air traffic control for Newark. Yeah,
and Newark is as big as lax here. So what
happens when we get down to just one or two guys?

(24:12):
And this report was from the end of last week,
when the shutdown was still going on, but we still
got the same problems at the airports today.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
Yeah, the shutdown's still going on. Yeah, yeah, it might
be over later, but still there's gonna it doesn't happen
that quickly that all of a sudden, air traffic controllers
and everything's going to be back to normal.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
In fact, they are canceling more flights every day. It's
supposed to peak on Friday. They'll be up to ten
percent of flights cut by Friday. But again they do
this in advance, so if you go looking for your flight,
you'll get an email. I mean, I was getting bombarded
with emails and texts warning me that we were in
this situation. And I just assumed that if they really

(24:53):
were going to cancel it, they'd let you know. But
if you know, if you get your boarding pass and
you're leaving the home in the more, you're home in
the morning, you haven't got word. Odds are you're you're
playing a safe because.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
They well hopefully, I mean, you know, well unless.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
You get another plane crashing into it. What was that
ITA pilot on what was he doing?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
The apparently the air traffic controller gave the ITA player
or ITA the pilot a phone number to call. There's
like an eight hundred number. I guess when you really
screw up and you almost caused a deadly crash, I
call this number at one eight hundred.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Why quit your job? All right, we got more coming up.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
We've got Steve Hilton is going to be on the
phone with us at two o'clock, one of the leading
candidates Republican for governor of California, and he's going to
talk about the prancing preening pop foon Gavin Newsom, who's
act pretending he's president down in Brazil.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
You're listening to John Cobels on demand from KFI Am sixty.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Are on every day one until four o'clock. After four
o'clock the podcast John Cobelt's show on demand on the
iHeart app, so you could hear what you missed. Do
not go anywhere, because in about ten minutes or so,
we're going to have Steve Hilton on. Steve Hilton, the
leading Republican in some polls, the leading overall candidate for
governor here in California, and he wants to talk about

(26:24):
Newsom at the climate conference in Brazil.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
That's what he's doing. Newsom, who's given us.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Five dollars gas in California and electricity prices that are
double the national average. And now he's taken planes flying
thousands of miles to go to Brazil to try to
join in. I don't know what they do down there
at these conference They just talk. Everybody sits around tables, talk, seats,

(26:52):
a lot of food, has a lot of drink, and
then they go out for the hookers afterwards. I don't
know if Newsom partakes in that. Probably two out of.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Those three things though, guess right, uh.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
And then and the news media is already greasing greasing
Newsom up because you know how left wing, how progressive
much of the news media is, and they haven't had
somebody to really to really sell to the public. Now
this is what's This is gonna be a regular part
of the show because we've lived with the guy for

(27:25):
seven years. Now we know what he's done to the
place national news media rate based primarily in New York
and Washington.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
They don't know what it's really like here.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
They don't know it's five dollar gas, they don't know
the electricity prices are double. They don't know it's the
highest inflation rate and the highest unemployment rate and all
the rest. They don't know it's the highest poverty. They
don't know any of this stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
They don't know that.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
We're paying for illegal alien health care. But he's willing
to fight the climate. So here's uh, here's a headline
from politico dot com. The Climate President in waiting like
he's like he's the heir apparent to the presidency. Newsome

(28:11):
in the spotlight at the climate conference that Trump decided
to skip New York Times headline, Oh, Trump skipped the
Climate conference because he thinks it's a lot of hooy,
and it is. You cannot have a successful, prosperous economy
without burning lots of gas and oil. And only a child,

(28:38):
a child with the serious cognitive issues, would not understand
that you've got to burn oil the oil and gas necessary.
And in fact, California is burning the same amount of
oil and gas that it always has. Nothing has changed.
This is all performative, this is all fake. But this

(29:03):
is what the media does. The grease news them up
oils and lotions, a nice big tongue bath. Disgusting, it's
just ridiculous. And they make it sound like he's kind
of a rock star. Gavin Newsom can't get out of
a meeting or talk at the climate talks without being
swarmed by reporters and diplomats reporters. Okay, So a reporter

(29:28):
writes that Gavin Newsom is a big deal because other
reporters swarm around him. Okay, Gavin Newsom is a big
deal because other pompfoon diplomats swarm around him, because they're
all caught. Because this is a cult, this is a racket.

(29:53):
I just don't understand this world. Well, I'm going to
read more about these stories later. But no, there is
no way to have a successful economy without burning gas
and oil.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Period. Okay, no way.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Show me what thriving nation isn't burning all the gas
and oil that they can. There is no such nation.
It's not possible. Few nations in Europe tried to switch
to solar and win disaster. Go go talk to the
pomfoons that ran Germany the last ten years. They wrecked

(30:33):
their economy simply simply is it's just not a thing,
all right. So we're going to have Steve Hilton on
with his point of view about this climate conference and
Gavin Newsom's prancing.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
That is next.

Speaker 2 (30:46):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
