Speaker 1 (00:05):
What's good everybody. Welcome to the third Jordan Porter Podcast.
It is Tuesday, November one, two thousand twenty two, just
coming off of a big dub against the Green Bay Packers.
But first, this is my wife's birthday. Uh, happy birthday, baby,
you deserve it all. We had a great day. Uh.

(00:25):
Podcast might be a little short cut up because I
could go do some birthday stuff. But we're gonna get
some cool stuff. Obviously, the trade deadline was was today.
I'll get some of you guys thoughts about that, some
of my thoughts about that. Obviously, Um, we gotta obviously
the game over the weekend, uh, you know, talk about
that and then uh a little bit of media factor
cap and some and some questions from you guys. So

(00:48):
I hope you guys tune in and enjoy this third
episode of the Jordan Porter Podcast. And we'll get into
the game. First of all, Obviously, anytime you anytime you
get a victory at home, it's huge. Get it's a
guy like Aaron Rodgers. Obviously a team that probably not
playing up to up to their standard. Um, you know
it was. It was a weird game. You know. Obviously

(01:10):
you didn't play up to our standard. Um, there's some
a lot of things that I could do a lot better. Uh,
you know, just um you mistakes, a little mistakes we
made in the run game. You know, whether it's fitting gaps, mistackles,
I miss some tackles I wish I had back. Um,
you know it was, but you bet you got the victory.
You got it. You're always more satisfied when you know

(01:32):
you're not more satisfied. It's always a lot easier. Um.
You know, maybe you didn't play as best as you
can or as best as you did, or you wanted to,
but you know, you still got the victory. So it's
a lot easier to learn from. Um, it's a lot
easier to learn from. Um. You know when you like
I said, you don't play so well, Um, but you
got the victory. You know, Uh, you're able to go

(01:54):
back and learn from it and and move on. So UM,
I think everybody can say that, you know, I think, uh,
you know, we're happy with the victory. But you know
we got the Jets going to uh going to New
York play the Jets. What a whole what a different
football team. Uh, you know it's obviously cheen. You know
they lost this weekend of the Patriots. Um, Zack Wilson.

(02:16):
You know, he's showing some flashes and you know, obviously
he's got all the upside, the arm talent, the athleticism,
probably wants some throws back from from last week. And um,
but like I said, it's just a totally different team
that coach well, Um, they play hard. It's not gonna
be easy task at all. It's it's a different Jets
team that we played in the past. And um, you

(02:38):
know they're gonna be ready to play us. Everybody's always
ready to play us. Everybody always, you know, comes ready
to play Buffalo Bills. Uh, you know, especially when they're
coming to town. Um, obviously, update on my injury. You know,
it's a weird play, trying to go make a tackle,
take my shot and you know arm got caught. This
kind of weird situation right now. Is this dayt of

(02:58):
time trying to see how it feels, you know, you know,
since their injuries gotten better each day. But uh, you know,
get a couple, get a couple more opinions on it,
and you know, see where you go from there. It's
really all I can tell you right now. It's not
a whole lot to say, um, other than you know,
just taking them one day at a time. UM. But yeah,

(03:19):
you know, recapping the game, you know we all saw
Diggs and joy Ere look and people, this is this
is a high competitive sport. You know, people are gonna
go out there and and you're gonna talk mess and
you know you better be able to handle out the
dishing and be able to you know, if you get
a dish back whatever, you know, you gotta be able to.
That's this this game we play. UM, I love when

(03:41):
players out there talking crap. You know that only elevates
my game. You know, you got to um, very talented
players at their respective positions and um, you know, in
high competitive situations. And at the end of the day,
like Dick said, man, you got the w got um,
you got the last word. And plus you know, I
don't know how me you know, I don't know did

(04:03):
he was he was he was doing eight out there now,
So I don't know how much you know, I saw
your years uh interview after the game whatever. Um, you know,
it's like I said, it's just it's a competitive sport.
You know. It's Um, there's the fans. They don't need

(04:24):
to get involved with that. You know, they obviously they're
gonna talk about it, but that's just it is what
it is. Man. People can have their opinions, and you know,
we go out there and play a weekend and week out.
I'm sure whatever whether they friends in off season, whether
or not, it don't matter. You know, we're just out
there complaining in a competitive UM high competitive sport. Josh
Allen hosted the Halloween party, the Bills Halloween Party last weekend.

(04:47):
It was really cool. My wife and I went as
F one drivers. We didn't win the Halloween costume. Um,
we win the Halloween costume? What top We weren't even
top anything, and we were in top five I think
the top five I we were in it. But we
looked good. I felt good about it. It was it
was a good time. Shot out Josh for putting that together.
Oh there's another topic I wanted to talk about UM

(05:10):
and I guess it'll lead me into a little bit
of a factor cap UM. The NFL battle with Pat
McAfee says they are unable the Pat McAfee show, they
are unable to use any of the logos. NFL thinks
they're slowing them down without detailing the business side of
the NFL. UM I think you know what, I think

(05:31):
Pat is very good for the NFL. I think it
gives maybe not good for the NFL, it's good for
the fans. Whatever the NFL they can handle down away,
but it's very Pat that show. It's extremely you know,
it's real. You know it's real. You know, people who's
played the sport understand the sport, get you know, people

(05:53):
of all different opinions. I love the Pat Max Shield.
And that's not even being biased. You know, before I
have been going on there weekend and week out. Um,
I had always watched Pat macfie show. You know this,
and you know, you get guys. He he brings guys
in with different, like said, diverse opinions, and it doesn't
matter you know what his opinions are. You know, like

(06:15):
for example, you know, during during all the COVID he
brought Aaron Rodgers in, Uh, Aaron Rodgers. Not a lot
of people necessarily agreed with his viewpoints on how he um,
how he handled you know, whatever it was he was handling.
But you know, he brought him on and he let
him speak, and he let his opinions be heard and
you know, whether you want to agree or disagree with

(06:36):
what he said, is I love that about them. I
love being able to have you know, diverse conversations and
you know, people different opinions, being able to talk about
things and kind of come to an understanding or or
at least see where somebody else's perspective is coming from. So, um,
I really enjoy that about you know that the Pat
McAfee show. And I also really enjoy you know, the

(06:56):
way you know, them breaking down you know, football and
then bringing people on their weekend a week out to
talk football and you know, people who actually played the
game of football as able to you know, and you know,
you're not sitting there watching ESPN or Sports Center. You know,
it's totally different. It's you know, on they're having real conversations.

(07:17):
It's not not scripted. It's not obviously you know, they
have a plan, but it's not scripted and not watching
what they gotta say, they're not, you know, And so
I definitely disagree with that. I guess they have paid
four million dollars or something like that Pat McFee to
the NFL just to show highlights, I guess. Um. And
so now then it Fels cracking down them, you know,

(07:40):
not allowing them to use the NFL logo. That's kind
of That's why it's me. But um, pat keep doing anything, man,
UM got me, got me in the corner, bro, that
means anything. We'll move on to uh some of the
trade trades that happened today. UM, you know, thoughts on

(08:01):
my trade for for uh nahem heinz great player. UM
feel for my dog's zack, you know, but I know
he's gonna go off and do great things in Indie. Um,
but you know what a great move guy that can
that can make people miss. You know, I played him
a couple of times. He's tough guy to bring down,
make people miss. And uh, you know we're excited to

(08:22):
have him on on the team, get them to the
next segment. Factor cap Uh. Shady McCoy says the Eagles
have the most complete team in football, even if the
even more so than the Bills and the Chiefs. I mean,
Shady was drafted the Eagles. I'm pretty sure he's Eagles
fan as he um, even as he's retired. I mean

(08:42):
that's I'm gonna say that's Cap just because I have to. Um,
you know, I think they are a very solid team. Um,
the most complete team. I think that's we'll find out
in February. You know, I think there's a lot of
football left to be played. Um. But he's very respectable
in his in his uh profession, and you know he

(09:05):
has every right, especially being drafted and having the kind
of career he had in Philly. Um, but I mean,
you gotta give credit with credits due. You know, Philly
they are a great team. They're seven and over right now,
playing really good football. Um. There's a lot of football
left to be played. Um, A lot of football left
to be played. The actor cap we got Dan Aloski again.

(09:27):
Dan Aloski says the Niners, Ravens, Eagles, Dolphins and Chiefs
of the top five scariest teams in the NFL. UM.
I mean I have to not again put the Buffalo
Bills on there. That's fine. I love it. I love it,
you know, I just I love that. I love it,
and I hope everybody else you know, not that anybody

(09:50):
cares what Dan says, but I'm reading it here right
in my face, so you know, to me, I love it. Cool,
let him talk. I don't really care. Michael Irman said,
there's something fishy in Green Bay. It seems like they're
trying to minimize the back to back two times m VP.
Is this a fact or is this just how the

(10:10):
team is built. I mean it's tough over there right now.
I mean you don't really you got you got weapons, um,
but you don't you know, you're not pushing them, but
being able to push the ball down the field. Obviously,
losing Davante Adams is huge. Um. You know, but I
still think, like I said, with Tom, and it's Tomas Tom,
Aaron is Aaron. You know, at the end of the day,

(10:33):
you know, you gotta be able to respect those guys.
And you know, obviously this is what have you done
for me lately? League? So um, you know that's what
he always joke about, what have you done for me lately? Um?
And you know, obviously both teams aren't a struggle. But
you know, me as a player, been in this league
for ten years, hard for me to really count either
one of those guys out. Um. Like I said, like

(10:55):
I said right here, back to back at two time
m v P. You know he's to get his guys
going in the right direction. Um. And you know I
I just it's hard for me to count guys like that.
Let's gett into some Mafia questions. For the last segment,
Bobby Brown asked, what is your take on the new
stadium and think it will be more live and lit

(11:19):
than now with the Mafia packs. Bobby Brown, thing is
coming out in two thousand and twenty six, I will
you know most like as what five years from now?
It's possibility I'm still playing, possibility that I'm in that stadium,
then playing, I don't know, it's a lot of business

(11:42):
to be to be made, then trying to look at
trying to look at the here and now, staying the
here and now. But it does look absolutely dope. UM.
Apparently my brother said something about the way it was
designed was so that the wind. Um. I guess it's
designed over the top of it so that the wind
doesn't funnel into the stadium, which should be awesome because

(12:05):
windy games Buffalo, New York at at our stadium is cold.
Thanks a Lotti. I'll remember that the Patriots game last year,
Pats ran the ball fifty times UM and won the game. Yeah,
it was I think the wind was blown about sixty

(12:25):
It was pretty rough, so we got back in the playoffs.
So so so it's good the official green cane. What's good, Brody?
He asked, where some locker room Where's some locker room
stories or some funny sidelines stories. Um, I know what
I mean, there's a lot. It's it's amazing to see

(12:48):
Dion uh Taiwan and Isaia mackenzie every Friday do their
performance for Instagram Live. I think that's one of the
greatest things I've ever seen in the locker room. And
actually I think they're getting sponsors and um and endorsements
and whatnot for it. I just think that's absolutely awesome.

(13:08):
I actually was able to uh partake in it last week.
UM got got a lot of positive criticism from it.
That's the thing. Um. But now it's awesome, man, those guys,
these guys are really you know, team players, bring the
locker room together, fun guys to be around, and uh,

(13:29):
you know, it's it's a it's a lot of locker room.
I mean there's corn hole ever going on two seven
in our locker room. Every day. Every time you walk
into the locker room, somebody is playing corn hole. Um
playing corn hole for gummy bears, and uh, you know,
we have we have a good time in the locker room. Man.
Ping pong. Ping pong is a huge, huge in the

(13:51):
locker room. They get we have two lists, um top
ten in corn hole top ten and ping pong. Um,
my pain pong game used to be good. It's not
as good as it as it as as it used
to be. I'm you know, I'm played in a while.
But this question is from Michael's season. I think I
spout your name right. Uh, what is your favorite place

(14:12):
of golf in Western New York? Um? I have a couple.
I love golfing at Country Color Buffalo, It's amazing. And
I love golfing at the senetor Hickory Stick. That's pretty dope.
And I'm I must, I gotta say Harvest Hill. Go
to Harvest Hill. Um. You know it's a it's an

(14:32):
awesome public track. All the workers over there awesome. UM.
Shout out to Shelley always taking care of me over there.
I found my uh range finder four or five times
that I left on the golf cart. But uh, you know,
it's some beautiful golf up here in Western New York,
especially during the fall time at least start changing. And
you know it said, we've actually kind of gotten lucky. Um,

(14:54):
this wind, it's not winner yet, it's coming winners coming
to this fall with the weather. Um. So other than that, Yeah,
like I said, November one, this is my wife's birthday.
We went out to Hutches. Shout out to everybody at
Hutches that took care of us tonight. I appreciate you.
You guys were awesome. I will be back because you
definitely are the top three food in Buffalo, New York.

(15:16):
If you ever need a restaurant to hit up, be
sure you hit up Hutches. I know there's a couple
of the restaurants to be mad at me that I
didn't mentioned the names, but Hutches where we went tonight,
So Hutches is on my mind. Um. I appreciate everybody
for tuning in. Don't forget to drop your questions this
week in the comment box. We have more next week

(15:37):
and uh you know, hopefully you know not hopefully you
know we're gonna go to go to New York. Um
play well, we gotta obviously practice well this week. Hopefully
my elbow gets right. I said, I'm just gonna take
one day at the time to get it right. Um,
but it felt good. When felt good to win at home.
Our fans are awesome. It was electric, electric night, Sunday

(15:58):
Night football. Um. Like I said, we didn't play as
well as we wanted, but got the victory. Lots to
learn from. We're moving on to the the New York
Football Jets. I can't say that. That doesn't even sound
right to New York Jets Zack Wilson and company. Michael Carter, Hey, Bro,

(16:19):
he's running back over there. It's my dog. We trained
out on piece together, but he ain't my dog this week. Michael,
what's up? Bro? Thank you for tuning into the third
episode of the Jordan Porter Podcast. We will be back
again next week with number four, hopefully coming off a
victory in New York City against the New York Jets.
