My fondest memory goes back to when Kyron's around twelve

dreams do come true. And finally we look back fast

rule changes MLB has implemented in the two twenty three season,
the new pitch timer, along with the increase in bag size,

can have a significant effect on the excitement of the
game and brings new optimism to the revival of the
stolen base. Now we're talking who isn't hyped about this.
We know that putting a clock on a pitcher stresses
him out, especially with the base stealer on the dirt.
But according to MLB bros Harold Reynolds and ROJ Davis,

who swiped they combined seven hundred stolen bases during their
MLB careers, is deeper than that. These two back snatching
bros got on MLB Network to talk about the advantages
the new rules and equipment changes give base stealers. The
increase in base size is what they started with because
it reduces the distance between each base by four and

a half inches, which is significant especially on steals, which
are usually close plays when contested cleanly. Davis was excited
about the change. What's the first thing that comes to
your mind? Well, when I look at this, I you
know it actually measured from the back of the base.
So look at this, you get three inches closer to

difference about four and a half finches. So we're talking
about you're getting closer to bag. As a base runner,
that's what you want. How about those bang bang plays?
Then bang bank plays at first speed. Now now we
talk about bang banks. Say, Reynolds placed the old base
on top of the new base to show the size difference,

and then the MLB bros discussed how leads are affected
by the new rules. If I gotta lead and I
