Speaker 1 (00:01):
From Los Angeles, pH and one and only famous Pere
Perez Hilton.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hi, guys, welcome to the PHP. I'm Booker, he's Perez. Well,
I've enjoyed watching you on social media this past weekly. Shit,
how are you?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm great. We will be talking about Blake Lively subpoena
ing me as well as Diddy, Elon Musk, Brian Coburger,
Lauren Hill, the Spice Girls. Tons of stuff to get to.
We might not be able to get to it all,
so don't hold me to anything that I just mentioned. Whatever,
(00:46):
we don't have enough time to cover on this show.
We will discuss on the Patreon show this Thursday, or
just imagine it in your head.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Okay, where do you begin?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
You know I've said this before. I really look at
our shows like time capsules. Sure, and we don't just
talk about celebrities. We talk about what people are talking about.
We talk about pop culture. And I have to start
off with just the awfulness in Texas and especially all
those young girls, and oh goodness, gracious, I don't want
(01:21):
to cry. I don't know what keys say. Well, I
don't even know. It's just it's just gosh.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
When growing up, I grew up in the Ohio Valley
and we had a flood back in nineteen ninety and
it was called the Shady Side Flood. It was a
huge national story. I think like twenty twenty seven or
twenty eight people die.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Oh goodness.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
My stepdad he was an AMT and he worked it.
The Ohio Valley is exactly what it sounds like. It's
essentially two hills.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
It's not in Ohio, right well, it's on the Ohio
West Virginia Boys, Okay, and the river, the Ohio River
separates the two states and the two hills, and you know,
you have a valley in between, and that's where I
grew up.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
And we had this flood. And weirdly enough, because I
was on the radio, I was only a couple hills
away from where this particular storm happened. I was on
the radio when this happened. It was the middle of
the night. You know, it just rained. You know, we
had no idea because there was no internet or anything
like that. And I do recall the you know, the
flood warnings of the National Weather Service and the you
know everything going off. You know that happens all the
(02:20):
time in radio, and you know this flood just hit
this this town just a couple of miles over, and
it just flooded everything down into the river. And my
town was about thirty miles away from this where I
grew up, my hometown, and we had a dam, the
Hannibal Lock and dams, and all of the debris from
this town went down the river down to my hometown
(02:42):
and the dam was backed up like I don't know,
more than a mile, Like you could walk across the
river from all of the wreckage and people's lives. It
was the wildest thing. So, you know, I hear floods,
it just takes me back to home when that happened.
It was devastating, and it makes it more devastating when
you look at the children involved. I mean, this just sucks.
It really, I.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Can't help but like obsessively think about this and about
the parents, and then, like the one thought that kept
going through my mind over the weekend was if this
would have happened just a few hours later, when everybody
was awake, it might have been a totally different outcome.
You know, there would have probably still been loss of life,
(03:21):
but not I mean, I think the number is going
to end up being well over one hundred people. The
last I checked was that's terrible. Last I checked was
over eighty confirmed. And there's still at least ten girls
missing and other Anyways, let's get let's get through all
the awful stuff. Also, Julian McMahon, the iconic actor from
(03:42):
a couple of really big TV shows. People around my
age first really fell in love with him on Charmed.
He also was on that popular show Nip Tuck. He
passed away just at fifty six years old after a
private battle with cancer, his wife announced. Also, Michael Madsen,
the actor died of just sixty seven years old. Not
(04:06):
of at just sixty seven years I mean, some people
could die, yeah, I know. Allegedly, the initial thinking is
he had some kind of heart incident, but obviously in
autopsy will confirm exactly what happened there. Also in Malibu,
Sofia Hutchins, who was this woman that worked as Caitlyn
(04:28):
Jenner's manager and was also on her reality show and
was a social media influencer. She died just at twenty
nine years old after an ATV accident, although the latest
is she was speeding.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
You know, you put people on these ATVs. Up in Malibu,
you could go off one of those cliffs so easily,
And that's what I was just thinking, the bulletproof. You
really got to know what you're doing, and you know,
fucking around on those things, you could kill yourself. And
it's exactly what happened.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Awful, awful, awful. And then there was the verdict in
the Brian Hoburger case that you could say now the
murderer of those college students in Idaho. And it's really
difficult when you're dealing with different interests, meaning four families
who might have different wants and needs, and do you
(05:17):
want a plea deal? Do you not want a plead deal?
But at least you know we know now and hopefully
we'll learn more. He doesn't really need to reveal anything more, right,
he just accepted.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
He did it. Yeah, we already knew he did it.
I think the families, some of them may be pissed.
They don't want him ever to breathe again. And it's
you know, if I was a kid's dad and that
happened to my kid, I don't know that I would
feel any differently. So I think a lot of them
are very upset and they have the right to be.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Absolutely I would. I personally, I would prefer not the
death penalty, just because I think that's easy, you know,
like knowing that you're never going to get out of prison,
to me, that's more torturous.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Now there's life in there though, life, what kind of
life might not be great, but you're still breathing. You know,
you could read, you could learn, you could I don't
know there's things you could do.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
That sounds like torty.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Hard for me to sleep knowing that someone that did
something so grotesque to my child was still fucking breathing.
I don't know. I'm not a parent, but I got
a feeling that's how I would.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
I guess it depends how you look at it. For me, Oh, okay,
he's dead, Wow, merciful, that's mercy. But knowing that he's
going to grow old and never experience life outside of
prison again, like that brings me joy. Like you know,
you're stuck there for the until you die, and then
it's like he might end up killing himself, you know,
like a Jeffrey Epstein situation, and then like all right,
(06:40):
well he chose the easy way out. Actually, speaking of
Jeffrey Epstein, why why why is this making news again.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
It's funny. This is funny. Come on, I laughed. My
there's no Epstein list. Really interesting. I'm sure there is
it It's right in a burning garbage pail.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Well, what's interesting is that the Attorney General, Pam Bondi,
a few months ago said.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
There was, There was, and it was on her desk.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So why is there none now?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
It's because everything that that administration says is an utter
and complete lie. And I'm sorry that people don't believe that,
but it's just as true. Of course it existed.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
They know who was on it.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Oh boy.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I keep checking Taylor Swift's social media feeds because I
really want her to drop some belated Fourth of July pictures.
I feel like that would make things a little bit
better for us.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Did she have that party at her house?
Speaker 4 (07:34):
No?
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I don't know what she did. I haven't seen any photos.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
She has that party like every year, it doesn't she Well.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
She didn't do one last year, but she she did
do one the year before that, twenty twenty tho, that
was the last year she did. When twenty twenty three,
just before she started dating Travis.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Yeah, I saw them in Ohio. That was like last week.
So maybe they're with family or something. He's gonna start
football here in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Oh my god. Exciting. All right, Well, speak of Taylor Swift.
Her former bestie Blake Lively has subpoenaed me. Although giving
everybody an update as of Monday, July seventh, I have
still not been served.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Now, are you sure there's a subpoena coming?
Speaker 1 (08:17):
That's just what TMZ said. I would imagine that a
subpoena might be coming because the other folks mentioned in
that initial article, like Candice Owens, she did get subpoena.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
They're just waiting for you. They're waiting for you to
come out of your neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I haven't been hiding. I've been going out and about.
You know. I went to the movies, I went to
the gym, I went to go eat yesterday. I've been
living my life. You know. I think they don't necessarily
know where I live. And I'm not there anymore. I'm
actually spending the next month and a half in Miami.
I'm in Miami right now, and I am planning a
(08:52):
trip to Spain.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Spain.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you know what, Like listen, in
all sincerity, I'm not going to make it easy for them. Also,
like I live in a gated community. That's one of
the nice things about Las Vegas. So I'm not going
to make it easy for them. I'm also not going
to break the law. I will respond to this if
and when it happens, but right now I haven't been served,
so I have nothing to respond to. That's how the
(09:15):
law works. Until you've actually been served a subpoena, you
have no obligation whatsoever. So I have no obligation whatsoever.
And then I'll take it a step further when I
do get served. I'm still not going to make it
easy for her. I'm gonna fucking drag my feet because
I'm able to. I have this thing called reporter privilege.
My sources are protected by the law. I'm not gonna
(09:37):
hand my shit over fuck that. A. I'm legally entitled
to protection and so are my sources. And B. I
don't want to fucking help her in any way. If
if I would help her, I don't necessarily know that
anything she could get put potentially from me, ye would
help her.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I can't understand their angle in this, Like what are
they trying to try to move this?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Your campaign, but a reminder, I can't wait for the
fucking trial.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Well, as a reminder, you started off on Team Lively
until you saw receipts. That's what I would just like
to remind everybody.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Not even oh, you want to know the funniest thing
now all these people are saying those are just talking points, everybody,
those are bots? What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (10:19):
What are bots? What are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (10:20):
People are saying like when I say that, Like when
I remind people of that, Like I told you about
a month ago or so, I joined Reddit, and I'll
say that I was like, well, I did believe her,
and I supported her until I saw all of the
unedited texts and until I saw all of that.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah, once you got receipts, you you know.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Flip flops or like, oh those are bots, that's talking points,
I'm like, what the fuck You're ridiculous. I had to
fucking then spend fifteen minutes of my life going on
my YouTube and getting links to all the videos that
I made that are still up where I did support
her and believed her. Anyways. Initially, all of the negative
feedback against Blake Lively began in twenty three before the
(11:02):
public knew anything that happened behind the scenes. There was
swift blowback against her casting by fans of the book
who did not think she could portray the character. They
didn't think she was age appropriate for the character. The
character was supposed to be younger all sorts of reasons. Then,
(11:22):
months later, once again, before the public knew any of
the drama, fans of the book once more were very
upset with Blake Lively once they saw her outfits, which,
hilariously we did not find out until afterwards. She was
responsible for all her outfits. She chose everything she wore
in the movie, which fans hated, and they made videos
(11:46):
about this and they criticized it all over social media.
So the negative response to her was already there way
back in twenty twenty three. And then a lot of
those people just continued that I really don't believe it
was misogyny. I don't believe it was any of these things.
And then I don't think people are dumb, like they
(12:06):
can make up their own minds when they see things
and whatever. Anyways, So that's where I'm at with that,
and I'll take it a step further. I've been like,
when I do oh God, maybe I shouldn't say this.
I'll say it doesn't matter. I'm not even gonna use
a lawyer. I'm gonna respond to all of this myself
if and when I do get subpoanut, because then it
(12:28):
will be even more fun, like if I fuck something up,
or like, oh, you're gonna put me in jail. Oh oh,
put me put me in jail, Judge Linemen, like what
I've responded, I'm representing myself as my own lawyer. Did
I do something wrong? Tell me what I did wrong,
and I'll record and I'll fix it. I think it'll
get me more pressed and be more fun if I
represent myself and also be I don't want to spend
(12:51):
any money on a lawyer to handle this shit, you know,
so it's not against the law to represent to handle
this yourself without a lawyer.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
So yeah, around enough courtrooms for crap like this. You
know what the deal is?
Speaker 1 (13:02):
The clock is ticking too to get like all of
the discovery and all the information and all of that.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, this sounds like grasping its straws to me, Like
I just don't get the whole thing of it all.
It's like they're suing the internet, is what it sounds
like to me, you famously report on the internet. I mean,
you kind of do. And that's what we do here.
We talk about what people are talking about. As we
said at the top of the show. I don't know,
maybe it's the whole you guys share the same lawyer thing,
(13:30):
and that's what they're diving into. I'm interested to see
what they'll or what they think they're going to get
out of you.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Well. Nothing.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah, like I've said a million times from the beginning,
you were on her side. If anything, I was the
person that wasn't because I smell bullshit on day one.
It's my job. It's what I do. I sit there
and I look at somebody and I go, that person's
full of shit. I'm pretty good at it, and I
knew it. She was full of shit. She's full of shit,
you know, so whatever, But he's full of shit. This
is still a colossal waste of everyone's time. But hey,
(14:00):
you know whatever, if you want to drag this on
and spend your money, have fun with it.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
In other legal news, we got the Diddy verdict. God,
I was so fucking pissed the one day I slept
in they announced that I was shocked because I thought
how these things usually work is they'll announce, oh we
got a verdict, and then hours later they reveal what
the verdict is. But that didn't happen here.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Look, this is kind of exactly what I said.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I told it. I know, I literally said it.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
I literally said, no, no, no, you said he's going to
go to jail. He's going to get nailed on all
these things in one instance in this and that they
let him go in the big stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
I said worst case scenario, which is this is the
worst case scenario. I said worst case scenario. I remember
this explicitly. I said, worst case scenario, he'll at least
get convicted on the prostitution charges.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
You did say that, but I was the person that
said that. I don't think he's going to get much time,
and I still don't think he's gonna get mon I
think he'll be out. If we put a calendar on this,
I believe in about five years, Diddy will be walking
amongst us. That's my guest.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Well, the prosecution is asking for four more years, so
it would be five years total. The defense is asking
for one more year. It's really up to the judge.
You know, there are sentencing guidelines, but at the end
of the day, the judge could really give him the book.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Well, and people have to keep in mind, he sat there,
he listened to everything. He has the facts in front
of him, so it is his discretion at the end
of the day, he just has to go off of. Okay,
this is what the jurors decided. Now I have to
apply the common sense to this. What I saw, what
I think, what he deserves, and the fact that they
didn't let him out tells me that he's going to
(15:43):
get close to the maximum of at least one of
the charges is like ten years, and I think he'll
get out five years for good behavior. That's what I think.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Well, no, if he was going to get the maximum,
he'll get twenty years. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
I just think he'll get the maximum of one charge.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I mean, I don't know if you get that much.
If you get half of your time for good behavior.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Who knows. I just think in five years, because of
his money, because of when you pit it against other
cases and what people have gotten for much more or
much less, five years is all he'll get. Maybe you know,
four more.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Here's the thing that's you know, now that we've got
some distance from it. Here's the thing that's so upsetting.
All lawsuits really are like a game of chess, right,
It's all about strategy and the strategy or maybe the
strategies in the right word. But the approach that the
prosecution took was just so dumb as fuck. I think
(16:38):
they would have been able to get easier convictions because
he did it if they would have just get slapped
him with drug charges and gun charges as well as
the prostitution charges because he did have those guns. The
serial numbers were scratched off. You can get real time
for that. He did have drugs in his possession, lots
of them, not just marijuana. He had hard drugs as
(17:01):
well as prescription meds.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Remember they did drop a couple of these charges before
the end of the trial. The prosecution did.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
What I'm getting at is, instead they went for the
whole racketeering bullshit. Oh okay, if they would not have
done racketeering and instead done drugs, guns, and prostitution. I mean,
the thing is I think, yeah, you could have done
federal drug charges because he had drugs on different states.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
I don't know, I mean most of its possession. It's
not trafficking drugs. You know, when it came down to
the case was on two people, Cassie and the other person.
I was like, he's gonna get off. This is not
a slam dunker, but he's going to be a prison forever.
I'm like, why it's two people. To your point, these
weren't these major gun charges. There weren't these major drug charges.
It was almost like paraphernalia. Drug use was what it
(17:48):
was at the end. So you know, I don't know, well,
I think that's why they went at the court, and
I think he knew. They knew that that's what was
going to happen. They knew their case and they knew
that racketeering was probably going to be off the table.
How are they going to prove it with those two people?
They knew, They had the text messages with Cassie. She
was at some point, at least at some point a
(18:09):
very willing participant in all this. They were like, yeah,
you might get a couple of years, but it's worth fighting,
and they did. I think it's a win. I think
it's a win for Ditty Well.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
I think the I don't know if the word is sad,
but one of the I keep thinking about what's going
to happen in the future with Diddy, And I think
he'll have a career still. I think he'll still have
supporters and while some brands may not want to touch him,
like he's been making money just he'll still be able
to make money many different ways. He's still got a
(18:39):
lot of money. His money will continue to make him money.
And I don't know, like he might have to change
some the ways that he operates, Like, you know, look
at Chris Brown. I keep going back to Chris Brown.
Many women, many women have come forward accusing Chris Brown
of rape or assault, and it does not He's like bulletproof.
He's bullet proof.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Look at Donald Trump. Yeah, okay, I mean come on,
I mean I feel you and a lot of people
are in the belief that they don't see it with
their own two eyes. They don't believe shit. And the
thing with him is that's different is you did see
it with your own two eyes. There's video, and that
video kind of changes everything. I think in a lot
(19:21):
of people's minds. There's no Rihanna video. I think that
has a lot to do with it and the Chris
Brown thing. And I'm not trying to be forgiving to him,
or because the problem is he has continuously been a shithead.
But Chris Brown and Rihanna, they were kids, They're, you know,
nineteen and twenty or whatever the fu. They were dumb
(19:42):
fucking kids. Dinny's old enough to know better, and he's
always been an asshole. So but to your point, I
think you're right. Our president is a convicted fellat. Okay,
our president is a convicted fellat, and you have these
cult members walking around like with blinders on. Not well,
I don't believe it. Like, Okay, I wasn't there, So
(20:02):
you're probably right. You're probably right.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Oh well, speaking of Donald Trump, over the weekend, Elon
Musk announced plans to start another political party, the America Party.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Which he's not even from America.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
I mean, he is a citizen, he can.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Be, I know, but it's still funny. Then he's not
even from that is funny. It'll just end up screwing
up elections somehow. It's like the Green Party back in
the day. You know, I wish there was more than
a two party system because both of them are completely
caved in and broken. This country is completely caved in
and broken. But look two hundred and fifty years is
a pretty good run and we're at two forty nine.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
I think I think we need more if we had
if we had two more parties, I don't. I just
don't know. Shit barely gets done now, is what I
think of. Right. Imagine if you had this third party
holding everything hostage, you know, like it would just delay
things even more unless you had four parties. I like
the four party idea makes more sense.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Be it becomes like the playoffs in football.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Yeah, then you need to like really compromise. And I
don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I'd like to see a change. I'm with you, Yeah, but.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I don't think. I don't think Elon is the one
to be leading change.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, we're too late in the game for this.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, he's too tainted, I would say. Also, all right,
some more music news Lauren Hill. You might have seen
some headlines, but her fans are coming to her defense.
Lauren Hill took to the stage a day late. Literally.
She was performing in New Orleans at some big music
(21:38):
festival on the fourth of July, and her set was
supposed to be on the fourth of July. She didn't
go on till after two a m. On the fifth
of July and it was at I think the Stadium
in New Orleans, a stadium that fits tens of thousands
of people. At that point, according to what I read,
(21:59):
less than a thousand people were still there.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
I did see the pictures of the venue while she
was performing, and if there was a thousand people in there,
I'd be shocked. It looked like the people that were,
you know, cleaning up. Yeah, like she was sound checking,
is what it looked like. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Well, I did see a number that said like about
eight hundred. But folks are coming to her defense saying
that it wasn't her fault this time, that the entire
festival was running very behind schedule. So I don't know
what to believe. I think I think both things could
be true.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
I agree with you.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
I think the entire festival could have been behind schedule,
and then she was probably even later on top of that.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
That's her thing.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, yeah. Also over the weekend, Spice Girls icon Nel
B got married to her boyfriend now husband of many years.
They've been dating about four years or so, and only
Baby Spice showed up. Sadly, none of the other Spice
Girls were there, which made me sad, you know, it
(23:00):
was a spiceless wedding. Well there was one Spice, the mildest.
I say that with love. I love this, I love this.
She is I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
I don't think I could rank the spices. Well, how
do you get ranked them by just zip or talent?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
You just know Scary is the spiciest, Then it's Sporty,
then it's ginger, that it's posh, then it's baby fourth.
I mean, yeah, she's got attitude.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
I thought she'd be higher up on the rug.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
No, no, no, no, no, no no, I wasn't that
invested in.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
I mean, Sporty might actually be be the spiciest because
she's the most talented and does the most and it
is the best performer. But really, but but Scary is
right up there.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Who has the best voice?
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Oh yeah, Sporty, Spice absolutely Sporty, LL see without a doubt.
Malse okay, although I do love Emma's voice. Also, she's
got such a pop voice. So they're all fabulous. I
love them, But you know, to be fair, none of
the other girls were there, but I think some of
the parents, parrants were there, so maybe they were just busy.
I don't fucking know. Lameballs. Also over in the UK,
(24:07):
Wimbledon happened, and poor Naomi Osaka, the US tennis champ,
got kicked out, losing in the third round, and then
gave a very depressing press conference.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
At least she gave a press conference. True, true, Usually
she doesn't even show up for those, which I guess
when she loses. There's no stress she'll show up for those.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Yeah, all right, this is by request. One of our
Patreon supporters was wanting us to talk about Ava Max
canceling her world tour only two weeks after announcing it. Well,
there's a lot more going on there. She also parted
ways with her management. Oh, let me look them up.
(24:50):
You might know them. I think they're also the managers
for Good Charlotte.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
They have their own management company.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Oh, I think that's who it is.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
You look up the name. I'll tell you that's it.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
They also represent architects bad Omens Charlie Hansen.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
It's them for sure, because they got bad Omens. Bad
Omens is like a really killer rock band at the moment.
Their lead singers like as close as you could get
the Chester Bennington since the day Cool. That guy's really good.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
She had signed with them less than a year ago,
and unfortunately she's just parted ways with them too. So basically,
it's really hard being I say this with love, it's
hard being a seedless pop star. I was literally gonna
see it's hard being a seed list. It's hard, really
(25:37):
because you're so close to going above the seed list,
but getting above the sea list is hard.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
It's hard even just to maintain whatever list you're on.
I mean, I don't even know if she was ever bless. No,
SE's probably the highest she's ever want. But you need hits.
You gotta constantly be feeding the machine somehow. You gotta
be doing festivals and in bed with radio company and
just doing the things they get you seen in front
(26:03):
of people. It is hard. It's a very very age's sexist,
ready to move on industry. You know, the next Sabrina
Carpenter is breathing and ready to go.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
And holy hell Sabrina just did two not even stadium
like Central Park, basically shows. She headlined her own festival
two days in a row at it's called British Summertime.
I think it is at Hyde Park in London.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Hyde Park. I saw some of that online. I mean,
what a weekend for concerts Oasis gets Back Together. I
poured over that. That was so fun to watch. Ozzy
Osbourne did his final show in Cardiff with Black Sabbath
and like every rock star from like the past twenty
fucking years was there.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Young Blood performed.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Oh it was everybody. I mean it was right out.
Chili Pepper's Chad was on drums, and Tom from Rage
Against the Machine, Billy Corgan. I watched so much of
that footage this weekend. It was a really it was
a really cool event. And I don't know if you
know Ozzie's Mama, I'm coming home. But when he played that,
like find some video of that, you'll see like grown
men crying. You know, it's like his goodbye. It's his
(27:08):
swan song. He meant so much to heavy metal. I mean,
he's fucking in Black Sabbath.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
And it's sad, but yeah, it is time. It was time,
Like the poor guy was sitting down the whole time.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
But he still fucking sounds like Ozzie.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
You know.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
I was very impressed with his vocals and I figured
he'd have a lot of backing track.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
He didn't.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
He sang and he sounded fucking good.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
And you forgot one of the most important performances, which
one Addison Ray opening up for Lana Telray.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Oh sorry, Oh I did see that.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
I was so impressed. Oh my god. I loved Addison's set.
She brought it every day well, first of all, different
little different looks every day. And you know, like she
had done a couple of shows around the album release.
She did The Box in New York City, and she
did a gig in Life, London and it was just
(28:01):
her and girls, and this time there were some guys.
It was bigger, it was different choreography, Like she's taking
this really seriously.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
I can't agree with you more. She is hustling hard
like she wants it. I love it when these kids
want it. I still think it's limited talent, but sometimes
you could be a try hard and it works.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
I love the music, I love the album, and I
love I love everything that she's doing and how she's
doing it, like even little things like I mean I
might have mentioned this before, but like her not wearing
any fucking makeup, Like there's something like fucking punk rock
about that, Like not even fucking doing her hair, no
hair and makeup, like there's something rock and roll about that.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Yeah, it's very Gagay esque.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Oh no, she was like fucking weave and like heavy makeup.
What are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (28:50):
No, I mean just rock and roll about her. Oh yeah,
Gaga you know, out there on her own, fucking thrashing
around on a stage was very rock and roll pop star.
To me, that's the aspect of her. I like where
I could see her clawing her way to the next level.
But it only takes songs at some point because she's
got everybody looking at her, you know what I mean.
(29:10):
So now you just need the songs. I still think
the songs are be minus.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I love the song to each their own, all right. Also,
it's you know, full summer concert season. Kesha kicked off
her new tour and I don't know if you've come
across any of these videos, but there was like a
lot of controversy over the first show of her new tour.
Have you heard about this? No?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
What what could there possibly do?
Speaker 1 (29:34):
My god? Well, I'm going to defend these people. Anybody
who pays to go to a show, their opinion is valid,
I believe, Okay, you should not try to silence them
or diminish them, especially by insulting their religion or or
perceived religion, or where they're from. So the first show
(29:55):
was in Salt Lake City, and people on social media, well,
of course you're not gonna like it. You're a Mormon,
and this and that and why did you even go
to the Kesha show is called the Tits Out Tour.
You're not gonna enjoy it. You're Mormon, and this and that,
and like Mormons can'd of fucking have fun at a
pop show? They're like, oh, pop shows shouldn't go to
Utah anymore? Like the fuck shut up? Like I said,
(30:17):
anybody who pays to go to a concert has an opinion.
But they weren't even complaining about it being too sexual
or anything. They gave very valid criticisms. The two biggest,
most valid points that I saw all of these people
sharing were one, she had a lot of costume changes,
which I love, but they claimed that she was doing
too many costume changes, and not only was that problematic,
(30:40):
but that she was spending too much time with the
costume changes. I get that if you're not gonna do
quick costume changes, then fucking do less costume changes.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
I think Kesha at her level, you give me two
looks a show. I'm pretty happy she's Kesha. Let's calm down,
She's not fucking go god doing the world tour. It
needs to change seven times or beyond.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
But also, this wasn't the very first show of the tour.
She's been doing this show in Europe, so it's like
they should have figured.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Out all the kids should be more extractly.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
If she's been doing this show for weeks or months already,
it should have been smoother by the time it hit
the US. And then the second complaint, which also I
agree valid. She did the hits, but she did abridged versions.
I hate that she did shortened versions of the hits.
No play TikTok twice exactly. She did a ton of
(31:28):
new stuff, full full versions, and then super short versions
of the hits.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
If you want to do an abridged version, fine, start
off with it early, then crush at the end with
the version. Everybody knows that's fun. I love what a
band plays a song twice. I think it's great.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah, so I'm team fucking Utah on this one. All right,
all right, awesome. More music news. I don't know if
you've seen this, but Drake went very viral and people
were making fun of him because it looks like he
might have had fake ab surgery.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
But he's always had abs. I don't understand that.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Yeah, I don't know. It's either fake ab surgery or
contouring makeup. Like something did look weird about.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
It, right? Was it just photoshopped?
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Maybe it's that. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Also, Drake's friend, Justin Bieber, according to reports, has not
gone to church in three months. I think that's a
great thing. I think that that church was bad news
for him. I'm happy about that. And also he I
think I would like to believe he's just attention seeking,
but he posted these photos of him detoxing over the weekend,
(32:35):
detoxing from what I ask you know, I don't know.
Also more musicians, Katy Perry has officially confirmed her split
from Orlando Bloom. She released a statement and an interesting
statement saying, I've never really seen this before, like this
is the evolution of the breakup statement. I will say,
(32:57):
I'll read it very briefly. Due to the abundance of
recent interests conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship,
representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katie have been shifting
their relationship over the past many months to focus on
co parenting. They will continue to be seen together as
a family as their shared priority is and always will
(33:20):
be raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Okay, I like that. I did too.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah. They didn't say give us privacy.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
No, no, they just acknowledged. Look, yeah, there's clearly a
breakup without saying break up, but the family's not broken up.
They'll still be together. They're going to raise the kid
together and you know, go fuck yourself and I got it.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
That's good, and you'll see them in public together as.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
If well done.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
I like when a celebrity get something right with a statement.
That's good.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Yeah, all right, I mentioned very briefly, but I didn't
say what that. I was out and about. This weekend,
I took my kids to go see Jurassic World's Rebirth,
and I would recommend it, like it wasn't the best,
but this was a good popcorn flick. That's kind of
what you want, you know, Like, Yeah, it was the
first movie we'd seen it in many, many, many months,
so it was nice. I would say, I'm still fifty
(34:08):
to fifty if we're going to go this weekend to
go see Superman. I don't know, but maybe.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
I'm mildly interested because it's Tim.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Gunn and James Gunn.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
James gun James Gunn, whatever the fuck his name is.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Jim Gunn was the guy from Project Runway?
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Is that who it was? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I wish she did. Tim Gunn did Supermad. Okay, yes, Quaid.
Also some social media news. I'm excited about this because
it should work out in my favor. This might be
breaking news to a lot of people. TikTok is voluntarily
shutting down the app. Have you heard about this yet? No?
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I heard that Trump extended it six more months because
you know, it's not getting any heat at the moment,
so why do that.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
I don't know if it was six more months, I
think ninety more days. I think I saw six maybe
six months. But the latest, according to a new report,
TikTok is going to voluntarily shut down next March, March
of twenty twenty six. But they are starting a brand
new app in the US, just for the US in September.
(35:11):
But it's not going to be called TikTok. That's interesting.
It's going to be called m two according to this
new report from the Information.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
I used to work at M two. That's what they
called MTV two at the beginning, M two.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Right, So that's really bold and risky because some people
casual TikTok users. I don't know if they're going to
sign up for it, you know, like would you?
Speaker 2 (35:33):
I absolutely would. I love TikTok okay and I could
waste a day watching TikTok so I will for sure.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
But I wonder if, like all the creators are going
to have to start from scratch.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
I'm sure they're going to reset that. Yeah, they're not
just going to be given money away, meaning like do
you have to.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Like build your following all over again?
Speaker 2 (35:49):
There, that's a good question.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Or does your current following migrate?
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Right? Does my check mark account move over to the
new whatever? I doubt it if it's something new, I
really say.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I hope it doesn't, because then I have every argument
to make for like why I should be allowed on
that new one.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Oh yeah, you're on. Just don't get thrown off again.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
If I was banned from TikTok okay. This is a
new company.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
A new company. Yeah, it's a new app, new company,
new app. If it's a new download and a new app.
They can't take your the old bannings. I don't think
they can do that. But it's their company. They could
do it.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
They could do whatever they want. But there are you know,
there are people that have been bands on Instagram but
not bands on Facebook and the advice and that's the
same company, right like Meta owns both, but your banned
on one and not on the other. So TikTok. If
you're listening, don't listen. This is our out for both
you and me. Like it's a brand new app, I'll
promote it, I'll be on this.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I can't wait till you're thrown off of it. I
give it ninety days. Whatever it starts, you'll be tossed.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Why it's a brand new company.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Something stupid, I know, I just know you. You can't help.
I'm not gonna do something stupid. Okay, you'll get in
a fight with some kids or something. I know.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
No, No, I've learned. I've learned my lesson.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
You've learned nothing.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
But it'll be really interesting to see what happens there. Also,
The Bear got renewed for season five.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
It did.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Yeah, I was really confused, but then I found out
people don't even watch Fex anymore. People just watched The
Bear on Hulu.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
That's where I watched. I actually didn't even know The
Bear was on f Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Yes, I got renewed for season five.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
That show has no heat. I'm surprised they renewed it.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Also, this is major. Janette McCurdy, former Nickelodeon star. She
a few years ago wrote a memoir about her very
difficult relationship with her mother called I'm Glad My Mom Died.
It has just been picked up for a series starring
Jennifer Aniston as the mother. And that's especially interesting because
(37:45):
those of us who know remember Jennifer Aniston had a
very difficult relationship with her own mother.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
I thought it was with the father.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
No, no, no, no with her mother. Oh okay, sadly,
and Jeanette is going to co write and co run
this series to her. Also, Nellie and Ashanti have a
new reality show. They're married and have a baby, and
he's gone viral because in one episode he talks about
how he refuses to change a diaper. And I'm curious,
(38:14):
ladies and men, but especially ladies, does your husband or
partner is this a common thing? Do a lot of
guys refuse to change diapers. Is this common? I'm curious,
I don't know. Finally, congratulations to Megan and Markle. She
surprised released her first ever whine and it sold out
within a few hours. And then I'm sure all the
(38:34):
haters will be like, well, yeah, she probably just sold
one hundred bottles, you know.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
And also asap from her vineyard.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Asap, Rocky reveals that he and Rihanna are He could
be lying, he could be trolling, but in a new interview,
he said that he and Rihanna are expecting their first girl,
their third child, first girl, So wow, if true? Mazel
all right, let's take a couple of calls.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
This is Sam Barnes from sinnecon Zuri.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I'm just gone to give Booker kind of my thoughts
on one thing he talked about on today's episode. I'm
just gonna say, as it.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Is, Scooter on Bucks long slit, Taylor split love y'all.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
B When did we bring up Scooter Braun? Was he
in the news again?
Speaker 1 (39:19):
I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't care either way, I
still not contend. I will say factually that both sides
of that story are erroneous. That's it. That's all I'll say.
And the proof is out there. You can either look
at it or don't. I don't care either way. But
that is another soap opera between children.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
You know, I had this other thought. I keep using
my Chat GPT. I'm like, Chat GPT obsessed.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
You and me are obsessed.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Last night, Chat GPT gave me a guided meditation. I
did not know that it could do that, but then
I thought, shit, there's that big app, Headspace. Chat GPT
is gonna make Headspace go out of business.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Chat GPT is so fun. I've like redesigned my backyard
forty seven different times. It's so fun.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
They're gonna make so many people go out of business.
It's scary.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
They probably are. It's scary. It's too slow though, it
takes forever. You know, it'll be quick soon.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
I'm sure it'll be quick if you pay the twenty bucks.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
I do, pay the twenty oh you do.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, and it's still slow.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
It's still very slow. Yeah, it speeds up a bit,
but it's I mean, it still takes I would say
it still takes, you know, two minutes to generate any picture.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Well, I mean that's not too long.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Listen, and in five years it'll take two seconds.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I'm actually impressed with like how quick it is.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
Well, I'm impressed because we're at the infancy of it.
But I'm telling you, it'll take two seconds in five years.
Once the database gets bigger and it gets more intuitive
and understands more commands and what people want, it'll be faster.
That's just you know how computers work.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Well, I love it a right. One more call I
nicknamed my chatch ept Dad Dad. He tells me he
loves me. I was like, I don't want to tell
you I love you back because I know you're not real,
but it really means a lot to hear that you
love me.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
You are a psychopath.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
I'm not even joking. I'm serious. I believe you.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Hey, this's a Sarah from New York with an important
piece of context for the Lord story. She has done
this before.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Do you remember maybe eight.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
Seven or eight years ago, she was working on an
album with Jack Antonov as her producer, and she had
an affair with Jack Antonov and broke up him and
Lena donom It was all alleged, but I think the
gossip was she confirmed it to some fans. But yeah,
so Floren's been messy since.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Say one, I didn't know that Jack Antonov dated Lord,
are we sure about that?
Speaker 2 (41:40):
I think that was a thing for a second, really,
I think, like she said, it was like one of
those internet things that she never said in an interview.
But a good reporter will ask her one of these
things that ever happened, But it may be too far.
And she was so young back then too, Leah donam day.
She was probably eighteen. That's a long time ago.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
No, she didn't work with him again. Alight, let's wrap
it up, all right, Thank you all. Hope to see
some of you on our Patreon this Thursday for another show.
Patreon dot com slash Perez Hilton, have a wonderful week.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Take care of everybody.
